Number_Six
Despite thinking myself as an alright TEW player I'd no idea you could get NYCW to TV and safely by 2012. Just goes to show my level of commitment isn't what it could be. I fully admit to a mild bit of cheating that helped me get there - I had repetitive booking switched off up until I got the show. So I was often guilty of spamming some of the same popular main events to crowds many times over. One could argue that the same match ten times over does have an old-school territorial feel to it though... Flair/Steamboat Part 15, anyone? Dragonmack
I could probably have a tv deal in my own NYCW diary by now, but I learned from my earlier MHW diary that it is massively expensive at lower levels of regional. If you aren't well prepared with a lot of money in the bank, or higher level of popularity ( high D+ low C-) to be selling out 2000 seat or above venues you will lose your shirt ( and all your money) in about a year. So I have decided to take the slower approach and build popularity while stockpiling cash before I take the TV plunge.

I wish I had banked another few hundred thou before going the TV route. Going back to the Celt's comment for a second - NYCW's product settings also make it easier to get the TV deal. Boltinho
It's a three-way tie between 20LEgend, Jingo, and Boltinho - but as Boltinho was the only one to get 'pick the jobber' right, I've officially declared the mighty BOLTINHO the winner!!! Congrats. You are now permitted to *insert silly and irreverent thing here*. WOOT! Get some bizotches.
Number_Six
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v478/liger_bomb/TEW/NYCW.jpg Preview for the next episode of NYCW Empire TV... -Things have certainly been heating up in the NYCW this summer, and they just may come to a boil this week on what promises to be a killer episode of Empire TV. After witnessing a spate of backstage brawls, brutal post-match assaults, and general lawlessness recently, the NYCW board have announced that they've hired someone to act as their emissary - a commissioner for the NYCW! Who will it be? We'll find out this Friday on the show! -In the main event, it's a special attraction tag team match where two epic feuds collide! Dazzling Dave Diamond will team with the New York Doll to take on Billy Jack Shearer and Empire Champion Dean McWade. Diamond and Shearer certainly haven't resolved their problems with one another yet, and for Dean McWade, it's finally an opportunity to get the New York Doll in the ring with him. Sparks. Will. Fly. -We also have the 'anything goes' rematch between Ford Gumble and Tribal Warrior. Hopefully an ambulance will be standing by... -After being pinned in their tag team confrontation last week, a humiliated Rick Sanders has actively challenged Whippy the Clown to a match... and he's putting the Tri-State Regional Title on the line! Also in action will be their respective partners - as Island Boy Apollo takes on the Masked Mauler. -And... are we reading this right? The Heavenly Bodies will challenge the team of Avalanche & Marv Statler to... a posedown? Prediction form: Dazzling Dave Diamond & New York Doll vs. Billy Jack Shearer & Dean McWade NYCW Tri-State Regional Title Match: Rick Sanders © vs. Whippy the Clown no-countout/no-DQ Ford Gumble vs. Tribal Warrior Island Boy Apollo vs. The Masked Mauler EXTREME NEW YORK CITY POSEDOWN SHENANIGANS: The Heavenly Bodies vs. Avalanche & Marv Statler

Boltinho
Dazzling Dave Diamond & New York Doll vs. Billy Jack Shearer & Dean McWade heels win through shenanigans NYCW Tri-State Regional Title Match: Rick Sanders © vs. Whippy the Clown The clown clearly deserves the belt no-countout/no-DQ Ford Gumble vs. Tribal Warrior how can you put TB down? Island Boy Apollo vs. The Masked Mauler Dont think Apollo can quite win this one EXTREME NEW YORK CITY POSEDOWN SHENANIGANS: The Heavenly Bodies vs. Avalanche & Marv Statler Of course the bodies will win the posedown, but they'll end up sorry... ajcrible
Dazzling Dave Diamond & New York Doll vs. Billy Jack Shearer & Dean McWade Tough one, but Shearer could take the fall, setting up Dean v. DDD or Dean v. Doll for the next show. NYCW Tri-State Regional Title Match: Rick Sanders © vs. Whippy the Clown Whippy's getting a nice push, but I think Sanders' heel stablemates get involved to let him keep the belt. no-countout/no-DQ Ford Gumble vs. Tribal Warrior Tribal Warrior can always get a post-match beatdown Island Boy Apollo vs. The Masked Mauler Since I see Sanders going over Whippy, Apollo needs to best the Mauler to keep that feud alive. EXTREME NEW YORK CITY POSEDOWN SHENANIGANS: The Heavenly Bodies vs. Avalanche & Marv Statler Heels never win posedowns, even though the Bodies are awesome. Number_Six
There will be a slight delay on the next show coming out. I've suffered a very nasty burn on most of my right hand thanks to an accident with a hot iron. Typing is pretty difficult pecking with one hand...
