The Minor Questions Thread

You are probably right to an extent.

I have, myself run fights with guys with high reputation on the undercard that were unknown to get them more popular...it doesn't lower it that much but if you are going for the best show possible I would still use prelims....I also think TV prelims are pretty good. I've done a local tournament in Japan with Unemployed fighters on TV and after 2 prelims and one undercard win the finalist was High Level National. TV gets you more popular in general than PPV.

That option is just to tell the game which fights you want to see from the AI promotions.

It's true that TV gets you more popular, but raising someone from unknown to high level national in 3 fights is insane, especially through prelims. Were you high level international at the time?

The first fight should just get them up to 15% Low regional. Second might get them them to Low national, but getting from there to high level seems quite strong.

Or was it a one-night tournament? Because they are quite overpowered. If I play games with tournaments and the winner already fought once, you get insane popularity bonuses for some reason, down to the level the person who won is contender material after just one night of fighting. Haven't held one in a year or something so it could've been patched.

Just wondering whether someone encountered a standing guillotine since the patch. The last thing I'll do is wish for it to be back the way it was, but (after 100+ simulated fights) it seems Adam just deleted the move, which would be a pity. It does happen in real life. The problem is that it rarely 'works', whereas in the game it worked 85% of the time (in my cases). It's more of a control position.

Anyone had it happen recently?

It didn't click with me before.

(If I wasn't clear enough before, the option doesn't give you any influence over AI matchmaking. It's just about which matches from AI promotions will actually come up for you to watch. If you go with "All Matches", then you'll be able to watch (or skip through) every fight from the AI promotions, the same way you watch or skip through your own. The AI still does its own matchmaking.)

As for how you watch the fights, it will happen automatically when you skip to the next day, the same way you watch your own cards. If there's an AI card on the same night as one of yours, it will automatically go to it after you get through your own.

what control do you get over a company when you take it over? i'd like to purchase another company to send my 18, 19 and 20 year olds to develop before bringing them up but i don't think you can do that.

what im asking if can i control and be the match maker for two companies not just one.

no, if you take control of a company you can freely promote and demote fighters between the two companies but you do not have control over the other campaniles matchmaking

At the moment your best bet is to keep refreshing when they book their shows until they book the fighter. Eventually they should do just that. Sometimes after a few months and sometimes it can take a long lone time.

If you're talking about American style heavyweights then no, there's little difference between weights and 206 guys can fight on reasonable even keel with each other.

Now if you're talking about Japanese style Heavy's, then there can be a HUGE difference in weight and there are a few high skilled SHW's out there that could wreck the shit of a HW.
