Diaz vs Miller coming, plus more news!

We're just one night removed from the highly anticipated match between Strikeforce Welterweight champion Nick Diaz, and nemesis "Mayhem" Miller, and in just a little bit, we'll be bringing you the weigh-in results for this event.

Good news: legendary boxer James Toney said he will fight MMA again. Bad news: Dana White said he won't ever book the IBA and NABO Heavyweight champion again. Great news: Scott Coker will!

In an event set for the final week of March, rumors are running wild that James Toney will be taking on legendary Fedor Emelianenko.

In other news, another MMA debutant will be on a Strikeforce card, as Dave "The Animal" Bautista is set to fight on a card from Columbus, Ohio, coinciding with the Arnold Sports Festival.

Other matches rumored for this card are Rafael Cavalcante defending his light heavyweight crown against Dan Henderson, and Paul Daley and KJ Noons fighting in the welterweight division.

While in San Fran, Diaz and Miller will be fighting it out for the Strikeforce Welterweight title, at UFC 125, former Middleweight champion, will make his second UFC appearance as he takes on champion and arguably the #1 pound-for-pound in the world, Georges "Rush" St. Pierre.

Other people fighting at the show are Quinton Jackson, Kenny Florian and Lyoto Machida.

Okay, the moment you have all been weighting for, see what I did there? Ha, the weigh-ins!

Prelims

Welterweight Division: Erik Apple (170lbs) vs Rudy Bears (170lbs)

Lightweight Division: Justin Wilcox (155lbs) vs Ousmane Thomas Diagne (155lbs)

Women's Middleweight Division: Jan Finney (145lbs) vs Shana Olsen (145lbs)

Middleweight Division: Eric Lawson (185lbs) vs Melvin Manhoef (188lbs) = Melvin Manhoef is 3lbs overweight and will be deducted 10% of his purse.

Main Card

Heavyweight Division: Herschel Walker (215lbs) vs Wes Shivers (265lbs)

Light Heavyweight Division: Antwain Britt (215lbs) vs Muhammed Lawal (205lbs) = Antwain Britt is 10lbs overweight and will be deducted 10% of his purse.

Women's Welterweight Championship: Champion Marloes Coenen (135lbs) vs Sarah Kaufman (135lbs)

Heavyweight Division: Bobby Lashley (265lbs) vs Daniel Cormier (250lbs)

Welterweight Championship: Champion Nick Diaz (170lbs) vs Jason Miller (180lbs) = Jason Miller is 10lbs overweight and will be deducted 20% of his purse, the fight has been changed to non-title.

So the main event has been changed, but who gives a *explicit*? Diaz vs Miller, it's happening!

If you are using JTMoney's mod, unless you do an overhaul in the editor for the fighter's walking weight, get used to fighters missing weight on a regular basis. I haven't had an event where every fighter made weight yet.

Yeah, walking weight wasn't in WMMA2 so I didn't focus on it yet. It will be adjusted in an update.

Strikeforce results!

Alright, let's get right to it, Diaz vs Miller was last night, and it was a great night! Shall we skip straight to the main event? Okay, let's go.

Alright, I've changed my mind, let's start on the undercard.

Having thoroughly enjoyed Walker's MMA debut, I couldn't wait for another great match up, and personally I thought had had a good chance, imagine my surprise when I saw the odds, Walker was the +510 underdog! And unfortunately, it showed, in just over 3 and a half minutes, Walker walked into a massive right hand, and he was down and out!

Britt, an even bigger underdog than Walker at +570, stepped in the cage, looking really confident, one minute later, the referee was pulling "King Mo" off of him. Britt is looking awefully close to getting cut where as Mo Lawal moves one step closer back to the Light Heavyweight championship.

Ooooh, then it was time for the women! People called it a huge upset when the Dutch star beat the undefeated Canadian for the title, but the rematch didn't seem as hard, as Coenen came in the -910 favorite, and she spent the majority of the match beating on Sarah Kaufman, winning the match by unanimous decision, 48-47, 48-47 and 49-46.

Bobby Lashley, a promising talent, didn't even get a punch in, he went down after Cormier's first punch, and just kept eating punches until the ref stopped the fight.

Time for the main event! A non-title match between champion Nick Diaz and nemesis Jason "Mayhem" Miller, and after all these months of *explicit* talking, this match was anti-climatic, 15 minutes of two guys playing it safe, and Nick Diaz taking the fight 29-28 on all cards.

Now for a quick recap!

Main card

Nick Diaz defeated Jason Miller by unanimous decision

Daniel Cormier defeated Bobby Lashley by TKO

Marloes Coenen defeated Sarah Kaufman by unanimous decision

Muhammed Lawal defeated Antwain Britt by TKO

Wes Shivers defeated Herschel Walker by KO

Preliminary card

Eric Lawson defeated Melvin Manhoef by split decision

Jan Finney defeated Shana Olsen by unanimous decision

Justin Wilcox defeated Ousmane Thomas Diagne by TKO

Rudy Bears defeated Erik Apple by unanimous decision

Fight of the night: Wes Shivers vs Herschel Walker

KO of the night: Wes Shivers (KO'd Herschel Walker)

Submission of the night: No submissions!

Prediction results

DeeGood: 7/9

mdale2k: 5/9

smokey al: 4/9

Chris2K: 4/9

Togg: 4/9

BYU 14: 3/9

How long? Ouch

Marijuana, oh, you already know where I'm going? But I had some long speecht thought up, oh well, might as well cut to the chase, Scott Coker has vacated the welterweight title after the California State Athletic Commision found traces of marijuana in Nick Diaz' blood following the Jason Miller fight, leading to a one year suspension. Nobody knows what the next step is, or how a new champion will be decided, what we do know is, Hendo wants a title.

That's right, "Hendo" Dan Henderson, the first and last ever PRIDE Welterweigh champion, as well as the second, and last Middleweight champion, is taking on Rafael Cavalcante at the Arnold Sports Festival in Columbus, Ohio!

The full card looks like this:

Strikeforce Light Heavyweight Championship

The champion Rafael 'Feijao' Cavalcante (10-2) vs #24 P4P Dan Henderson (26-8)

Welterweight Division

KJ Noons (10-3) vs #25 P4P Paul 'Semtex' Daley

Heavyweight Division

Dave "The Animal" Batista (0-0) vs Devin Cole (14-8-1)

Middleweight Divsion

Evangelista Santos (18-13) vs Cung Le (7-1)

Lightweight Division

Bogdan Cristea (7-4-1) vs Josh 'The Punk' Thomson (18-3)

Preliminary card

Women's Welterweight Division: Shayna Baszler (12-6) vs Kim Couture (3-3-1)

Lightweight Division: Billy Evangelista (11-0) vs Merritt Warren (3-3)

Oh by the way, I'm not really doing much about the walking weights, I'm ignoring it for now and possibly moving some up a division, or changing them if it happens too frequently, the only thing I'm changing in the editor is the weight of competitors in a title fight, to make sure the title is actually on the line.
