<p>20LEgend and Midnightnick - thanks for the votes!</p><p> </p><p>

Voted for 1PWfan's today - toss up between that and Seb's, but the fact it's in Oz just swayed me. Sorry Seb <img alt=":(" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/frown.png.e6b571745a30fe6a6f2e918994141a47.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /> Next month, I promise.</p>

<p>Really like the field this month- there's three or four of my favourite dynasties here, plus a couple that I'm really starting to get into.</p><p> </p><p>

Had to vote for Levitical's KANZEN dynasty here- it's fun, it's well-written, and the booking's pretty solid as well (it's not a make-or-break thing with me, but an entertaining dynasty that puts together good storylines tends to win out for me over ones that are more pure wrestling). I figure that this one's probably the favourite, too- nothing against any of the competition, but KANZEN's got a lot of popularity and with good reason.</p>

<p>Non-standard promotion! *shakes fist*</p><p> </p><p>

I assume it's not illegal to vote for myself, though, since I didn't nominate/second myself.</p><p> </p><p>

That said, I'm pretty sure I like the KANZEN diary, but...I don't think I've read any of the others? What the hell?</p>

Since the rules weren't posted in this particular topic, though, I'm not sure whether mistaken will disqualify him outright, or just ignore his vote. That seems like a judgment call to me.</p>

<p>The whole voting for yourself argument has come up in the past. I know that at one point it was grounds for being disqualified from the poll. I'm not sure if the rules have changed or anything but as I understand it, you are DQed if you vote for yourself.</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="mistaken" data-cite="mistaken" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="30405" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>a vote for yourself is an automatic disqualification.<p> </p><p> I got bit by it last month so it is stated in the rules. #10</p></div></blockquote>

<p>I wasn't going to win anyway, but it's pretty annoying that someone went ahead and did that. How egotistical do you have to be anyway? </p><p> </p><p>

Anyway, let's not have a flame war, and we'll wait for Mistaken to give his verdict. I think it should be a DQ though.</p>

<p>I did it, and not out of malice whatsoever. If I'm disqualified, so be it. Didn't see it here, didn't think about it again. Just remove my vote. I would <em>happily</em> do so if I could.</p><p> </p><p>

I also hope the egotistical comment was more hypothetical and not a shot at me directly.</p><p> </p><p>

Yep, so it does. I'm assuming the edit was clerical, not to add in the white-text rule 7 or rule 8. If it was, I probably didn't see it.</p><p> </p><p>

So in this case, I forgot. Don't much care, since I victory would have been ridiculous. Back to mourning my SWF game.</p>

I wouldn't be demoralised, it's just your diary is a little too niche for most. For instance, I'm not a fan of the Japanese scene, nor "non-show" conversations and things like that. So that's why I don't read it.

But 4 votes is good - and you've got some of the more respected writers reading it. So be happy - you've got readers some of us would love to have!

Thanks a lot to everyone for my votes, it's appreciated :)

The way I look at it (as someone who's gotten into a few of these polls) is that the nomination itself makes you stand out from the pack- there's not that many dynasties that made it this far as LordJaguar said, and a nomination is a sign that your work is considered amongst the most promising on the board.

Speaking for myself, I'm really pleased with how KCCW's done in this poll. Not counting Eidenhoek's dynasty I'm join third in this month's poll, which may be the best I've ever done. Not bad for a writer who's The Suger Dunkerton of the dynasty thread (fun, and reasonably popular, but I'm fairly sure that I'm nobody's favourite writer, and I'm definitely no Phantom or D-Mack).

Okay, Okay. Two is enough. One was just sad. Six would boarder on pity. :)

Don't worry, I was trying to be cute and or funny about it.

It was the elephant in my room.

My room in small.

Elephants are weird close-up.

:D

You are right, it is an honor to be there at all. The talent around is always more and incredible. It inspires.

On behalf of Monty "The Python" Walker and the rest of the dysfunctional family we call KANZEN Pro Wrestling, I'd like to thank the good people of these boards for awarding me the supreme honor of being the writer of the Rookie DOTM for January 2011.

What a way to start a new year AND a new dynasty. KANZEN's a fun little place to be involved in, just like your neighborhood asylum. We're colorful and kooky, but we can beat you down in a heartbeat. Some say our style wouldn't work in America, and to that we say: "Haters gonna hate."

What does this win mean to me, as your messenger to the KANZEN brand of pro wrestling? It shows that all of this work is worth it all. I get to hold my head up slightly higher now, knowing that something I have done has worked.

My supreme thanks goes out to so many folks...mainly

1PWfan, angeldelayette, BigM, Blake Trask, codey, Jingo, MichiganHero, Purple Cowboy, sebsplex, smurphy1014, Teh_Showtime, Tigerkinney, and Truth. You guys are the MVPs here. Also huge thanks to some of you who didn't vote for me, but are still appreciated: jhd1 for his agreement to help out with the Flying Podcast, especially.

To the rest of you who competed for this prize as well: the rest of you all have deserving dynasties. It shocks me greatly that I beat such amazing work like sebsplex's DaVE, Yuu's return to 5SSW, and the two great Aussie dynasties that were up for this. You all have more-than-deserving dynasties, and it was an honor to "compete" with you this month.

It gives me inspiration, and I owe it to all of you. Thanks again for awarding me and the boys this prize.
