Default data expansion - 61 new fighters, 20 camps

Recommended Posts

As the community expansion pack seems to have come to a halt, I've been making some new fighters and camps for the game for my own amusement and have decided to share. Maybe you can get some fun out of them too. It is intended for those who want a bit of personality in their mods and a more complete gameworld, as it includes fighters from a number of nations unrepresented in the default data as well as a large number of new camps.

As the thread title suggests, it contains 61 new fighters, both men and women, handcrafted and with fleshed-out biographies. A few of them are present at game start but most of them debut over the first few years of gameplay. I haven't put any fighters in past 2005 because I tend to lose interest in my own games by then. Feel free to change that yourself if you decide to download it.

It should be noted that this pack includes NO RENDERS, as sifting through all the renders I've used and deciding who to credit and who to ask for permission is simply impossible. I have drawn extensively on Weidt's excellent "Fresh Start Complete" mod for WMMA2, however, as it contains 600 new renders. I'd suggest downloading that picture pack if you want renders for my paltry 61 fighters.

I might expand this later if I get the time. Would be nice to get a round 100 fighters in the pack :)

Anyway, hope this is of any use to you.

Thanks! It's very nice with new fighters added to the game. It would be great with Scotties renders also added to this expansion pack, in the future. I like the new african fighters, since they are quite few in the original database. If you add more fighters later, it would be great with even some more african and oceanian fighters. Maybe a couple of South African strike-based ones in heavyweight and super heavyweight.

<p>Those look spectacular, Scottie. Please, feel free to make more of those and assign them as you see fit. Hell, if you want to, feel free to take my pack, assign your great renders and then release it to the public. I won't mind, it's a mod, it's meant to be played and enjoyed, and renders would make it oh so much more enjoyable. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

Glad to see somebody's getting some fun out of my mod. I've created a couple more fighters tonight, so maybe an update will be coming soonish.</p>

Adding more middle-eastern and African fighters was in fact my main motivation for making this pack. I feel they got left out quite badly in the default database - I have an African based promotion in my ongoing game and there's just about nobody they can use as homegrown stars.</p><p> </p><p> Glad you like it.</p>

There's no way I'll get through all of them, but when I get a few more done I'll put them up here for you and you can add them if you wish. It's your work after all. :)

I had a go at Rémy Beauchamp tonight. I tried to make him look like a dickhead and a bit drugged up. For the record, I think his destiny should have failing drug tests as an option based on his bio.

I've not played with these characters yet so I dunno how balanced it is, but this pack would make a great addition to the default database. The bios are great fun and add some much needed cans and nationalities to a database which is taking shape. I know Adam doesn't really like using other biographies, but it would be worth a think here imo.

Nice looking Rémy. He's way prettier than the render I'm using :)

I'm still working on my pack, trying to get the number of fighters to 100. I now have 87. I'm trying to limit myself to renders from the WMMA3 thread and those I've already obtained permission to use, but it's really hard - I have so many good old ones lying around, but no way of finding out who made them, and I don't want to cause any unneccesary forum drama by people taking offense at getting ripped off.

Anyone have any ideas about how this can be solved without upsetting anyone?

Sounds kind of unworkable, considering I've used 87 so far.

Thankfully, most of them seem to be by London and Clarity.

How many do you have permission for? I don't have too much time right now, but if your most of the way there I might be able to help you out with some renders.

I've now received permission for all renders I've used in my mod. Thanks a lot to all the great artists who've given me permission. :)

I currently have 96 fighters in my database. Once I hit 100+, I will upload it again, this time with renders. Should be a couple of days at least, I'm real busy lately. Hope this is still of interest.

I want to use your pack, but thinking of starting a new game, would i be able to incorparate this data into a saved game, cause ill be using your new pack you release in the next few days

Of course. Simply import the new fighters and camps into your new game. Most of them debut in the years from 2000-2005 anyway, so they'll just pop up in your ongoing game regardless.

great keep up the good work ill wait untill you release the new fighters in a few days then and import. The new fighter you are creating are they potential stars and cans or just a specfic type of fighter i.e just cans.

Again keep up the good work and much appreciation for the effort your putting in.
