Jeff Hardy is backstage and says at Lockdown he has more important things than getting into a multi-man match all of whom he is above, he says he isn't scared to have a match but there is added risk with 4 guys all targeting him. Eric is reluctant but says OK, but don't expect to have an easy match at the PPV.

The next qualifier is a quick and ferocious match, Chris and Max both went aggressive with each other as Shane Helms took a step back and wisely let them at each other only getting involved when totally needed and one such time was after a

Cradle Shock

when Sabin seemingly forgetting about Helms went to the top rope to truly finish him off but Shane sprung into action joining Sabin onto the top rope, behind him and hit a (top rope overhead flip cutter) and pinned Sabin to qualify.

We cut to a gym where Samoa Joe is he is working a punch bag and then turns to the camera, he says he is going to get Pope in that cage and not let Dinero take the easy escape, Joe is going to put him through hell.

Matt Hardy cuts a backstage promo saying that tonight he will beat Matt Hardy on his last match before he is fired at Lockdown, he says he is an Immortal and the fact the fans love losers like Tommy Dreamer is what drove him to become what he is today, withdrawn from society and a Cold Blood.

Shannon Moore and Jeremy Buck are no stranger to the X Division or its style and both really want to win the title and become the face of the X Division and both showed that desire with a back and forth encounter with Jeremy's huge speed outdoing Moore in a way he isn't used to. This speed however was quickly put down by some clever tactics from Shannon Moore who eventually won the match with a

After the match Shane Helms came to the ring and attacked Shannon Moore to the ground.

Abdul Bashir came on the ramp and told Kazarian he is the mystery opponent for tonight and says when he takes the title he will join Immortal.

Abdul took the match to the surprised Kazarian and AB almost got a quick roll up win on Kazarian. Kazarian however adjusted his game plan and was quickly comfortable with Bashir and eventually picked up the victory with a

Fortune are backstage and are talking about Lockdown they say that they will not only win for themselves but for TNA and this is the first step in getting rid of Immortal and taking back the company. AJ the tells Kazarian part of this is keeping a hold of the X Division title and whoever the mystery man is joining the X Division Xscape match, he has to be ready.

Tommy looked angry at Matt and started the match with a run in and the brawl became fast a furious, Hardy was backed into a corner by The Innovator of Violence and took a break on the outside before coming back in and dominating the rest of the match, Dreamer did try and get back into the match but Hardy was too much for him and one

EB is backstage irate at what he had just seen outside and was shouting down his phone at someone when Rob Van Dam walks into his office and says he wants a title match but he wants Jeff Hardy more, Eric says well since Jeff is no longer in the match at Lockdown, RVD better be careful what he wish for, because he just might get it.

This match was a big grudge and Jeff Jarrett avoided Kurt like the plague, so the match was essentially a handicap, or so it would seem. As throughout the match there was interfearence with the referee down, first it was the Hardy Boyz who attacked their enemies but soon, Fortune for Lockdown member Matt Morgan rushed down and took out both Hardy brothers. He then ducked a clothesline from Hernandez and hit him with a

Carbon Footprint

. Steiner pinned Hernandez and the referee came round, Kurt stood of the count as Jarrett stayed away not wanting to meet with Angle.

the show ended with six men in the ring as when Kurt had his back turned jeff tried to attack him, then all hell broke loose as the six all went at each other with nobody able to split them up the six brawled and beat each other until iMPACT went off air and blood began to be shed as the spike logo came up.

Footage is shown from this week when Bully Ray was back at the hardware store, it shows him shopping for weapons and Brother Devon comes into the shop and attacks him using various items in the shop, he hits him pans, a trash can and a sledgehammer. After that Sting comes out and poses a question to those in charge. He asks them that if he's got a match at the Lockdown PPV he wants to know who it is against. He does get a response, but not where he wanted it from.Instead he is answered by tonight special “fan” Mr. Anderson.

He grabs his megaphone again and says to Sting that it is him and says there is know doubt about it, so know he knows it is time Eric and Hulk make it official. Anderson then jumps the guardrail again, and tries to get into Sting's face. They get face to face but they are quickly split up by security.

This was a very short, but a very good match that could have been great given time. The two traded good wrestling early on but it was soon Angle who took control of the match and eventually won the match making Abdul Bashir tap out to the Ankle Lock after 6 minutes. After the bell was rung Angle wouldn't release the hold.

 

After the match Abdul Bashir hobbles over to a microphone a tells Kurt Angle that he will pay for this and next week he will regret his actions.

The camera then cuts backstage to show Scott Steiner in a pool of blood and both the Hardy Boyz laying into him with real fury he is in a mess and the attack is vicious and brutal and the camera decides to cut away as the blood gushes from his wound.

The match was for the majority a brawl and Matt Morgan was intense and really up for the match, he seemed to have the match in the bag when he nearly hit a

Carbon Footprint

only for a low blow to save Hardy. Matt H then stalked for the

Side Effect

but before he could hit it Mr. Anderson jumped into the ring and hit him with a

Mic Drop

onto his megaphone and the referee disqualified Morgan to give Hardy the win, this angered Morgan who stomped to the back and Anderson took his megaphone and kicked Hardy outside of the ring.

Mr. Anderson takes a microphone and demands his match against Sting, Eric comes out and tries to persuade him to stop but Ken won't have it, Bischoff say if he wins his match on iMPACT! next week he can have the match. But, he promises it won't be easy.

Pope Dinero comes up on the screen and says that tonight he isn't in the building but regardless you never know with the Pope and Joe better watch his back.

Helms is a close friend of Jeff Hardy and the fact that he and RVD were facing off not only meant outside interference was very likely in the match, however, somewhat surprisingly, there was none and the match was allowed to flow for almost the 10 minute time limit. The back and forth action had the crowd into it and although it was perfect it was a good hard fought match, and when VD got out of a crab from Helms he forced Shane to smash his head into the ring post and he fell down giving Rob the perfect chance to hit the

and as in almost always the case, pick up the win.

After the match Shannon Moore came down to the ring and attacked Helms, both men meet in the Xscape match at Lockdown and the two former friends are not on good terms.

The camera comes to the back and Kurt Angle is stomping around backstage when the camera asks him where he is going he simply says “Bischoff” he enters his office and the camera follows. He says after what they did to Steiner he wants the Hardyz matches. He say next week he wants Matt, which a visibly scared Eric agrees to, and then Jeff at Lockdown, in a three way with RVD. Bischoff who is clearly still annoyed Jeff dodged the Lockdown match agrees to the match and then laugh to himself before shouting to a crew member about the 4th Immortal guy at Lockdown.

This match was strange and provided a big shock as for most of the match big Joe dominated Jeff, even busting Hardy open in his early onslaught and when the match settled down it hardly got better for Jeff until he infact slipped out of the corner and took his offence to Samoa Joe who looked shook but he quickly regained his bearings when the caught Jeff attempting a

Whisper in the Wind

and grabbed him down catching him in a

Coquina Clutch

and Jeff passed out.

 

After the match Pope came on the screen again and distracted Joe, this let Jeff come back around and he beat down Joe in the ring until...

Rob Van Dam made the save leaving Hardy to run away as RVD taunted him as the show finished.
