4 Corners of Chaos: TNA

Recommended Posts

If things work out for you this will be a thing of beauty. I think so far it's been a good diary. No offense to the other "corners" but I follow this one the most. But the Global Impact concept is really clever and with the right execution should take TNA to the next level!

You use top Intl. talent up and down the roster to help the ratings, while building your own guys in those areas and gaining exposure/popularity for the company. It also adds a twist, as it enables each region to have their own issues that fit into the broader picture of TNA. Makes for something interesting matches too. Good luck

Thanks man, glad you like it. :)

It is indeed my hope that Global Impact will take me to national (and then beyond!) before my competitors, AWA and WCW. It is a gamble though, as I'm relying heavily on being able to loan top names from other promotions - at least untill I manage to get my own stars sufficiently over in those areas. The key will be not using up those loans too quickly and making sure to use them right in conjunction with my own talent.

The show is also different in the sense that it doesn't feature the same wrestlers each week and thus doesn't run storylines in the same way as a traditional weekly wrestling show. But that's part of the unique charm, I think. I've been happy with the results in the last two weeks, and sure hope I can keep it up!

TNA Impact!

Pre-show match:

Shannon Moore vs. Brickhouse Brown

Moore pinned Brown after a spectacular move which JR calls a 'Mooregasm'.

Winner: Shannon Moore

Match length: 5:26

Rating: D+

Oenomaus vs. The Gambler

This violent monster, who may or may not be a certain familiar face, finishes the gambling man in a short day's work with a Thrust Spinebuster. Which, incidently, is another signature Ron Simmons move. Hmm...

Winner: Oenomaus

Match length: 2:02

Rating: E+

Christian Cage and his mentor, Bob Backlund, is in the ring. Christian says that he has learned a lot from Backlund and that as long as he has his... moral support during matches, noone will be able to dethrone him as TNA X Division Champion. Waltman and Jericho comes out and accuses Cage of being an incompetent crook who only gets by on outside interference, and an argument ensues. Both Jericho and Waltman challenges Cage to a title match right here tonight, but Cage refuses on the grounds that a triple threat match between the three has already been scheduled for Victory Road. TNA Comminisionar Nick Bockwinkel then comes out to say that although Victory Road will indeed feature a triple threat between Cage, Jericho and Waltman for the title... it doesn't really matter much to him which of the three will walk into the match as champion! So tonight, it will be Cage defending his title... against Sean Waltman! And to counter what will undoubtedly be Backlund in Cage's corner, Jericho will be in Waltman's corner! Neither Cage nor Backlund seems particularly pleased, and Jericho isn't initially too happy that Waltman got the chance... but eventually wishes him luck and promises to back him up.

The devastating force of Abyss and Doomsday makes short work here as Abyss pins Chris after a Chokeslam.

Davey Boy Smith is talking to Howard Finkel, explaining him that he looks forward to defeating Rhino at Victory Road to - once again - prove that he is deserving world champion and that he will keep defeating any challengers again and again, no matter who's coming at him.

Rating: B+

TNA X Division Championship match:

Sean Waltman /w. Chris Jericho vs. Christian Cage © /w. Bob Backlund

Jericho did what he could to prevent Backlund from interfering, but in the end, it was exactly such an attempt that allowed Backlund to help Cage win: after an assault from Backlund on Cage behind the ref's back, and angry Jericho stepped into the ring - but was stopped by the ref. As Jericho was arguing with the ref, Backlund interefered again, setting up Waltman for a Killswitch and the 1-2-3 from Cage.

Winner, and still champion: Christian Cage

Match length: 13:26

Rating: C-

Sting and Eddie Guerrero cuts a promo on Nash and DDP, calling them crybabies for blaming them of their failures. They feel that Nash and DDP should rather take responsibility for their own actions and fortunes, and realize that the only reason they fail to succeed is because of their attitutes towards the business. Oh, and also: they will go DOWN at Victory Road!

Rating: B+

Harlem Heat vs. The Quebecers

Rougeau goes down to Stevie Ray's Heat Seeker.

Winners: Harlem Heat

Match length: 7:17

Rating: C

After the match, The Heat cuts a promo on The Road Warriors and suggests that they should rather be training for their upcoming match at Victory Road instead of mocking around in Japan.

And now off to something really special: Piper's Pit! 'Rowdy' Roddy is treating us with a special interview tonight, as he has invited his opponent for Victory Road: Bob Backlund! Only... instead of Backlund, out comes a really old and worn-down man... much to the delight of the crowd! Piper proceeds to interview 'Backlund' with mockery questions to which the old man gives out confused and hilarious answers. One person did not seem to enjoy this segment, however: Bob Backlund himself, who sneaks in through the crowd and attacks Piper from behind, beating him down in quite a brutal fashion! He even hits him with a chair several times! Oh no! Will Piper recover in time for Victory Road...?

Rating: B

When Sting comes out, the crowd really pops. He proceeds to high-five several audience members and provides us with several signature "wooo!"'s.

Rating: A

Davey Boy Smith, Sting and Eddie Guerrero vs. Rhino /w. James Mitchell, Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page

What a main event we have here tonight, wow! The crowd is wild for this match, and the competitors deliver! After a tremendous back and forth match, where Nash managed to distract the ref from counting a pinfall from Guerrero on DDP earlier, Davey Boy ends up being pinned by Rhino after a Ghore!

Winners: Rhino, Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page

Match length: 18:55

Rating: A

Show rating: B- (I had hoped for more, but then I guess I shouldn't have had Harlem Heat vs. The Quebecers as the second-to-last match...)

Konnan is in the ring with a title belt of sorts. He explains the audience that after being cheated of first the TNA World Heavyweight Championship and then the TNA American Heavyweight Championship the following week, both times due to corrupt officials having been instructed from TNA headquarters to keep the belts on filthy Tennessee hands (at least that's Konnan's version of his losses)... well after that, a local Mexican businessman came to him with this belt: according to Konnan, he said: "Konnan, as the #1 wrestler in Mexico today"... Konnan then pauses and says "scratch that, that's not what he said at all" before continuing. "No I remember now, he said: Konnan, as the #1 wrestler in North America today... no wait, that's not right either. Oh wait, here it is: Konnan, as the #1 wrestler in the world today, I present you with this belt, the Global Heavyweight Championship. As the greatest champion of them all, I can see no more fit human being to entrust with the solemn task of establishing a fair tournament to decide the first ever holder of this glorious title, this true world title, without the blatant corruption from TNA headquarters." The crowd appears somewhat sceptical, but Konnan promises them that tonight, all the greatest wrestlers in Mexico will get a chance to qualify for tongiht's main event for this title. "And that is why Cien Caras, Mil Mascaras, Silver King and Dr. Wagner Jr. will face off for a single spot in this match of magnitude! The other half of the title match will be decided when I, the great Konnan, will take on a mystery challenger... soon." The crowd boos with the news that Konnan, expectedly, has given himself an edge already, facing only one person instead of 3 like the others. But who will his opponent be...?

Rating: B-

El Texano /w. Silver King vs. Misterioso

El Texano pins Misterioso after tag team partner Silver King blasted him with a chair while the ref wasn't looking.

Winner: El Texano

Match length: 5:50

Rating: D+

TNA Global Heavyweight Championship qualification match:

Misterioso vs. Konnan

Yup, that's right. Amidst loud boos, Konnan storms out, being quite the opportunist, to demand that the ref start a match between him and already downed Misterioso, still suffering from the chair blast. A dazed Misterioso fights bravely, but stands little chance. A Tequila Sunrise gives Konnan the victory.

Winner: Konnan

Match length: 3:47

Rating: C-

Backstage, brothers Silver King and Dr. Wagner Jr., both in the other qualification match, talk about working together to ensure that it will be one of the two brothers who will be facing Konnan in the final match.

Rating: C+

Rayo De Jalisco Jr. and Volador vs. Abismo Negro and Scorpio Jr.

De Jalisco Jr. pins Negro after the Tope en Reversa to win a fairly exciting luchador tag match.

Winners: Rayo De Jalisco Jr. and Volador

Match length: 10:48

Rating: C-

Mexican luchador legend Mil Mascaras is on the mic, talking about how dishonorable Konnan is. Not only has he abused his power to get into the title match, he also made sure that whoever he will be facing will be tired and worn-out - as he has scheduled the other qualification match to take place right before the title match itself! But Mil Mascaras promises to learn Konnan a little thing or two about what a humble and honest man can perform with his back against the wall.

Rating: B-

Sting vs. Mascara Ano 2000

American icon, Sting, gets a victory in his first match in Mexico as he submits his opponent to his deadly Scorpion Deathlock.

Winner: Sting

Match length: 9:37

Rating: C

TNA Global Heavyweight Championship qualification match:

Cien Caras vs. Mil Mascaras vs. Silver King vs. Dr. Wagner Jr.

A really good match here between some of Mexico's very finest. The end came when El Texano, eager to pay in kind and help Silver King, aims a chair shot at Mil Mascaras, held by Silver and Dr. W - but Mascaras ducks, and the chair connects with the two brothers instead! Mascaras then quickly covers Dr. W for the win, with Cien Caras unable to break up the pin in time.

Winner: Mil Mascaras

Match length: 15:17

Rating: B

As Silver King, Dr. Wagner Jr. and El Texano argues between them while heading backstage, an angry Cien Caras, who obviously feels that *he* should have won the match, takes his anger out on Mil Mascaras - untill Sting storms out to make the save! Caras does not look happy with Sting...

Rating: A

Out comes Konnan, who orders Sting to head backstage and demands that Mascaras gets ready - because their match is about to start NOW! Not really a contender for "Act of sportsmanship of the year" shown by Konnan here.

Rating: B

TNA Global Heavyweight Championship match:

Konnan vs. Mil Mascaras

Mascaras held on as long as he could, which was far longer than anyone would expect a man of his age to do in this situation, being exhausted from his match as well as recently attacked. Konnan is obviously surprised as well, but in the end Konnan's impressive wrestling powers prevail. Or maybe it was the fact that he used the ropes as leverage while pinning Mascaras. Either way, Konnan wins to become the first Global Heavyweight Champion!

Winner, and new champion: Konnan

Jeff Jarrett vs. Shannon Moore

Jarrett opens the PPV with a submission victory as Moore submits to his Figure Four Leglock.

Winner: Jeff Jarrett

Match length: 5:05

Rating: C+

After his match, Jarrett complains about him - a part-owner and founder of TNA, the first ever TNA World Heavyweight Champion and former TNA American Heavyweight Champion - being given the chore of teaching a young rookie the ways of the ring in the opening match of the PPV. He deserves more and better!

The Rock 'n' Roll Express vs. The Quebeckers

Winners: The Rock 'n' Roll Express

Jim Ross and Honky Tonk Man discusses the mysterious Oenomaus who has shown his menacing impact in recent weeks. Ross believes he may be Ron Simmons under the mask, but HTM shruggs it off and declares that he sees no resemblance what-so-ever.

Roddy Piper talks about "that scumball" Backlund being given the displeasure of finding out exactly why he's called 'Hot Rod' later tonight, when he'll be taking the old man back to the school he clearly never finished!

Rating: B

TNA X Division Championship match:

Chris Jericho vs. Sean Waltman vs. Christian Cage © /w. Bob Backlund

Good match here between 3 talented and even performers. The open match tipped towards Cage's favor due to having Backlund in his corner however, who not only broke up pin attempts on Cage by both Jericho and Waltman - but also kept Waltman from breaking up Cage's successful pin on Jericho, after a Killswitch.

Winner, and still champion: Christian Cage

Match length: 15:10

Rating: C+

Sting and Eddie Guerrero are riling each other up for tonight's match against Nash and DDP, promising the fans a great match and that they'll give it their all to show their opponents their places.

Rating: B+

Harlem Heat vs. The Road Warriors /w. Paul Ellering

In spite of Ellering's best efforts, he was unable to secure another victory for his clients. Instead, Booker T pinned Animal after a Book End. Really strong tag match here, between two of the best teams in wrestling today.

Winners: Harlem Heat

Match length: 18:06

Rating: B

Nash and DDP cuts a half-assed promo on Sting and Guerrero, stating that they're the best duo in the history of wrestling and that they'll show "Stink" and "Speedy Gonzalez" exactly why later tonight. Let's all hope that they fight better than they talk today... and that Nash sobers up.

Rating: C+

Roddy Piper vs. Bob Backlund

Noticeable is the absence of Christian Cage by Backlund's side, which though makes the match refreshingly even between these two veterans. After both locking in their finishing submission move several times during the match, 'Rowdy' Roddy gets the upper hand in the end and makes Backlund tap out to his Sleeperhold. Another very fine match.

Winner: Roddy Piper

Match length: 14:03

Rating: B

Rhino and James Mitchell talks about how Rhino will be dismembering Davey Boy Smith tonight and use his bones to pick his tooth.

TNA World Tag Team Championship match:

Team 3D vs. The Apocalypse ©

A good and even match here that could easily go either way. Literally. The match ends when Devon has Abyss down for the 3-count - while Doomsday has Ray down as well. The ref, however, only saw Doomsday's pin and counted that one. Devon and Ray rightfully feels cheated, but The Apocalypse retains.

Winners, and still champions: The Apocalypse

Match length: 15:26

Rating: B-

A hype video featuring Davey Boy Smith airs. It shows how he won the world heavyweight championship and his subsequent defenses of it.

TNA World Heavyweight Championship match:

Rhino /w. James Mitchell vs. Davey Boy Smith ©

Another good, strong and even match here between two muscular men. It takes two Running Powerslams in a row before Davey Boy manages to pin Rhino to retain.

Winner, and still champion: Davey Boy Smith

Match length: 14:31

When Sting comes out, the crowd really pops. He proceeds to high-five several audience members and provides us with several signature "wooo!"'s.

Rating: B+

Sting and Eddie Guerrero vs. Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page

An outright fantastic match here between 4 superb performers. It had everything a great match needs, including drama, good flow, exciting spots and several near-falls! After a long and action-packed match, DDP pins Guerrero cleanly (not counting minor cheating here and there during the match by the heels) after a Diamond Cutter.

Winners: Kevin Nash and Diamond Dallas Page

Match length: 27:30

After the match, Nash and DDP celebrates their victory and mocks their opponents - making the crowd boo them loudly as they garnish tons of heat.

A Kronus Driver secures the victory for Kronus.

Winner: John Kronus

Match length: 4:48

Rating: C-

Oenomaus vs. Cheetah Master

The muscular masked man gets another win here as the cheetah falls victim to a Dominator.

Winner: Oenomaus

Match length: 2:37

Rating: E+

DDP is with Kevin Nash in the ring, boasting about their victory against Sting and Guerrero at Victory Road. DDP says that Guerrero does not deserve the TNA American Championship as he is an inferior man compared to DDP, which he proved when pinning Guerrero at VR, and that he ought to just outright surrender the title to him. Out comes Guerrero to bicker, ending with the two of them actually agreeing to a title match tonight!

Rating: B+

The Quebecers vs. The Youngbloods

Decent tag team action as Rougeau makes Mark Y submit to a Boston Crab.

Winners: The Quebecers

Match length: 5:30

Rating: C-

Rhino and James Mitchell are out to talk about Rhino's defeat against Davey Boy Smith. Rhino says that not only does he want a rematch, he needs it. And more importantly, he deserves it. Their match at VR was an open affair and completely inconclusive - opposed to their match earlier this year, when Rhino was clear and deserved winner (according to Mitchell, at least, who clearly forgot Jericho's involvement back then). Davey Boy comes out to say that he's not afraid of Rhino's brute force, Mitchell's sneaky tactics - or anything else they or anyone else can throw at him. He will defend his title right here tonight against Rhino, and he will prevail - but when Rhino loses, and he assures them that it is indeed only a question of when and how, then he will not get any further matches!

Rating: B+

Chris Jericho vs. Shannon Moore

A surprisingly good match here by young rookie Moore where he put up a good fight, though he eventually lost out to Jericho's Lionsault.

Winner: Chris Jericho

Match length: 6:30

Rating: C+

TNA X Division Champion Christian Cage and his manager, Bob Backlund, comes out to mock Jericho. He says that it's no wonder that he has been unable to represent a proper challenge for Cage's title, what with barely being able to defeat a "child greenhorn" (referring to Moore, obviously). Jericho takes the mic: "Yes, yes, it's all true: I have come up short in title matches against you more than once. I must say, it has been some really clever and brilliant work... by your manager, Backlund." Cage's smile quickly turns into disbelief as Jericho gives all glory to his manager. Jericho continues: "Because let's face it, he's the one who has been winning your matches for you. Without him, you'd be at the bottom of the X Division food chain, nowhere near that title around your waist right now. He has saved your a*s time and again, and... oh wait, that reminds me: where were you when he fought 'Rowdy' Roddy at Victory Road? No wait, let me guess: you are the great title holder and probably had more important stuff to do. I mean, your career is much more important than a broken old man's, right?" Of course, Jericho is goating Cage into agreeing with him, much to the dismay of Backlund. Jericho finishes off by saying that TNA Commissionary Nick Bockwinkel has agreed to let Jericho have a 1 on 1 rematch for the title next week - and that he urges Backlund to really think hard about which role he wants to play in that match...

Rating: C

Team 3D vs. PG-13

Ray pins Wolfie D after a 3D in a match that was much better than anyone would have expected. Ray and Devon are really starting to shine.

Winners: Team 3D

Match length: 6:15

Rating: B-

After the match, Team 3D rants against Abyss and Doomsday for their tainted win at VR and vows to be the ones to finally dethrone them.

Rating: B-

Another tag team interview follows, as Harlem Heat gloats about their victory against The Road Warriors, futhermore stating that "1-1 will become 2-1 soon enough, suckas!".

Rating: C+

The Road Warriors /w. Paul Ellering vs. The Latin-American Connection

Hawk + Doomsday Device = Vega getting pinned was the equation derived from this match.

Winners: The Road Warriors

Match length: 5:38

Rating: C+

After the match, Finkel asks The Road Warriors about their loss to Harlem Heat. Ellering explains that although they lost their last encounter, he would like to remind everyone that they won the first one - just as they would 9 out of 10 times against "those two obnoxious gang members". It just happens to be that they have only fought 2 times, in which Stevie Ray and Booker T was lucky to get their fluke win last match, and that if they fought 8 more matches, they'd all be victories for Animal and Hawk!

Rating: C-

Finkel then interviews Sting, who says that in spite of their loss, he was proud to stand side by side with Eddie Guerrero and that they fought a valiant battle. He adds that had DDP and Nash cut out their cheating antics, the match would have gone a whole other way, but that he will not be using any excuses and instead be looking forward and making sure to be even better prepared next time. He finishes off with a few "Woo!"'s.

Rating: B+

TNA World Heavyweight Championship match:

Rhino /w. James Mitchell vs. Davey Boy Smith ©

A good, open match here that is arguably a step up from their Victory Road encounter and full of better execution overall. Rhino is on fire and full of aggression and eagernes to become champion, but lets his temper get the better of him and is DQed for attacking the ref for, according to Rhino, continually counting too slowly when attempting to pin the champion.

Winner, and still champion: Davey Boy Smith

Match length: 15:41

Rating: B

DDP comes out before his match, demanding that a recap of him and Nash's victory against Sting and Guerrero from Victory Road is aired. Only it's a recap he himself cut, showing only offensive moves done by his own team and, of course, the pinfall victory following a Diamond Cutter on Guerrero. None of DDP and Nash's foul play is shown either, coincidentally.

Rating: B

TNA American Heavyweight Championship match:

Diamond Dallas Page /w. Kevin Nash vs. Eddie Guerrero ©

Quite a fantastic match here, really giving the crowd something special. Nash is a constant distraction but doesn't interfer much physically, leaving most of the match a fairly clean affair. He does, however, distract the ref from seeing that DDP submits to Guerrero's Lasso From El Paso, which makes the enraged Guerrero chase towards Nash, who is quick to get out of the way and jump off the apron. Shortly after, Guerrero is on victory course yet again when hitting an impressive Frog Splash - but before the ref could count to 3, Nash, puts DDP's leg on one of the ring ropes and makes sure that the ref sees it right before counting 3. Wanting no more of this, Guerrero launches a devastating suicide dive out of the ring into Nash, which takes him out. But as he gets back on his feet and back into the ring, obviously not unaffected by the dive himself, DDP surprises him with a Diamond Cutter and gets the pinfall!

Winner, and new champion: Diamond Dallas Page

Match length: 17:40

Rating: A

After the match, DDP and Nash celebrates while the crowd goes wild with boos.

TNA Global Impact!

Live from Tokyo, Japan!

TNA Global Heavyweight Championship holder Konnan starts the show with a promo, proclaiming his own greatness. Nick Bockwinkel comes out to interrupt Konnan, calling him a sneaky, cheating scoundrel. It appears that Konnan's lovely story about a Mexican businessman giving him the belt to supervise and making him in charge of a tournament for it was a load of cra... in reality, Konnan stole the belt from Bockwinkel's office - and it was supposed to have been a part of a huge tournament spanning not just Mexico but also Japan, Canada, UK and Europe! Konnan claims that he won it fair and square and vows that he won't give it up. Bockwinkel says that since Konnan did in fact win it in a match (although a crooked one), he will not strip him off the title... but he will, starting next week, force him to defend it every week untill he loses it! Konnan does not look pleased at all. Bockwinkel then proclaims that he will become more of a presence on Global Impact from now on, to ensure that something like this does not happen again. He then walks to the announcers table, where he is apparantly going to help with color commentary.

He lost the right to challenge for it as long as Guerrero was champion, but what do you know: he's not anymore! So now Jarrett wants a title shot! Out comes Guerrero to stake his own claim for a re-match at the title untill an arrogant DDP, alongside Kevin Nash, comes out to state that he's not afraid of either of them, and says that he'll take them both on at Hard Justice!

TNA X Division Championship match:

Chris Jericho vs. Christian Cage © /w. Bob Backlund

It seems like Backlund listened carefully to what Jericho said last week, as he's not helping Cage at all in this match - much to the dismay of Cage himself. A few times, he even yells at Backlund for not aiding him against Jericho, who seems quite on fire. Both men shows good form in a decent match where both men got close to pinfalls more than once. The end came when Jericho locked in a Liontamer; Cage was close to reaching the ropes, but not close enough... Backlund stepped up to rinside and looked like he was going to interfer, but stopped and just stared at Cage. Eventually, without being able to reach the ropes and without help from Backlund, Cage had to give in.

The Apocalypse are out to mock Team 3D for being the latest victims in their dominating run as tag team champions. They claim that it's a good thing that TNA has run out of challengers whom they have not beat, as they just got off the phone with Jim Cornette... who says that his lawyers are now *very* close to finding a solution that allows them to break their contracts with TNA and join Cornette up north instead! And the TNA Tag Team belts? They'll bring those with them! The crowd boos loudly. Ray and Devon comes out to say that they're hell-bend on stopping The Apocalypse, and that untill they actually beat them *cleanly*, they won't give up! Abyss and Doomsday says that they might as well crush the dreams of Team 3D now sooner than later, and a match is on!

TNA World Tag Team Championship match:

Team 3D vs. The Apocalypse ©

A very fine match here full of drama and hard-hitting brawling. Ray and Doomsday are fighting outside of the ring, which has the refs attention - meaning that he doesn't notice Abyss pulling a table out from under the ring which he throws into the ring! A table! He puts it in one of the corners and picks up Devon, wanting to irish whip him into the table - but Devon reverses it and instead throws Abyss through it with such a force that it breaks! Unfortunately, the ref turned around and saw this - and DQ's Devon for the use of a foreign object! Extremely controversial decision here, but The Apocalypse retains!

World Heavyeight Championship #1 contender match:

Really good match here, even to boot. DDP of course attempted to distract both the ref as well as Sting himself several times during the match, so that he could help Nash to victory. This annoyed Sting so much that he eventually went for DDP, knocking him out cold with a Scorpion Deathdrop. Unfortunately, it allowed Nash to recover and catch Sting with a Jackknife Powerbomb... giving him the pinfall victory as a result!

After the match, The Apocalypse has a huge announcement: their manager, Jim Cornette, and his lawyers have finally managed to find a loophole in their contracts with TNA that allows them to leave in 1 month... and they are taking the TNA World Tag Team Championship with them! To WWF!!! The crowd nearly drowns their mics with boos now untill Team 3D comes out. Devon and Ray says that while they haven't seen eye-to-eye with TNA management on everything that has happened this last year, they are here for better and for worse... and they are proud to be here, and they *will* take the belts off Abyss and Doomsday, and they will wear them with the pride they deserve! So, since the "champions" seemed to happy to involve tables in their match last week... they hereby challenge The Apocalypse to a tables title match at Hard Justice! Abyss and Doomsday declare that they don't mind smacking Team 3D around some more, and that they are like small children who keeps putting their hands on the hot stove time and again, without learning a thing. "Well get ready to be burned!!!!"

Rating: C+

But wait, what now? First The Road Warriors and then Harlem Heat comes out, wanting a piece of the action as well! Neither team seems to think that any other team is deserving nor able to face off against The Apocalypse and take the title from them, and that for the sake of TNA, *they* should be given the title shot... Bockwinkel comes out and states that Team 3D, in the light of the way they lost their last 2 encounters with The Apocalypse, deserves their title shot - and that Harlem Heat and The Road Warriors clearly have issues left to resolve between them still... so here's what happens at Hard Justice: Team 3D vs. The Apocalypse © in a tables match for the title - and Harlem Heat vs. The Road Warriors as well, with the winning team becoming #1 contenders against whoever wins the title match!

TNA X Division Championship Ultimate X match:

Christian Cage vs. Chris Jericho vs. Sean Waltman vs. Brian Pillman ©

Another good and exciting match here between 4 obviously skilled competitors. Backlund was noticeably absent from Cage's side, likely mad after the last match. An even affair between all 4 men devoid of outside interference suddenly got tainted when a mysterious masked man entered the ring with a chair, while Pillman and Cage were fighting, hitting first Pillman, then Cage... Jericho, who was lying outside the ring together with Waltman, tried to stop him, but got hit as well. Waltman then entered the ring and positioned himself to strike the mysterious attacker with a 1-2-3 Kick, which made the attacker hesitate - and run off! Waltman then looked confused at the downed opponents, then at the belt hanging above the ring, then at the downed opponents... after a bit of deliberation, he decided to go for the belt! A good match, but ultimately not enough time for either team to defeat the other. It ends with a time limit draw, after which both sides protest to the referee about the match not having been allotted more time on the card.

Winners: Draw

Match length: 20:00

TNA World Tag Team Championship Table match:

Team 3D vs. The Apocalypse ©

The impossible happens in this otherwise decent but unspectacular match: Abyss and Doomsday's reign as champions is finally ended! They will therefore not be taking the belts with them to that federation up north! Ray made sure of that when crashing Doomsday through a table for the win.

Winners, and new champions: Team 3D

Match length: 15:47

Nick Bockwinkel comes out after the match, congratulating Ray and Devon on their victory; on completing the task that so many other strong teams failed to do before them. And he has a message for Abyss and Doomsday: since they so desperately wants to leave, and no longer holds any leverage over TNA... they are free to take off immediately, and won't have to wait for their contracts to expire! In fact, he has their contracts with them... and tears them up!

TNA American Heavyweight Championship match:

Jeff Jarrett vs. Eddie Guerrero vs. Diamond Dallas Page © (w/Kevin Nash)

Another good and exciting match that brought the fans to the edge of their seats. It was an even affair right up untill Nash decided to push Guerrero down from the turnbuckle as he prepared for a Frog Splash on DDP, who instead got up and hit Guerrero with a Diamond Cutter for the win.

Winner, and still champion: Diamond Dallas Page

Match length: 18:48

Street Fight match:

Rhino vs. Sting

Fantastic match, this one! Wow! Many fans were heard chanting "scr*w McMahon, this is wrestling!" over and over again. After an exciting back-and-forth affair, Sting had Rhino in the corner, running to hit a Stinger Splash - but a sneaky James Mitchell managed to push the ref into the line of fire, having him take the blunt of the splash instead! With the ref down, the fight continued... untill Rhino managed to hit his second Gore of the evening, going for the count! 1... 2... 3! ...is what it would have sounded like had the ref not been down. Mitchell manages to wake up the ref, but too late; Sting recoveres and turns the tides of war, hitting two big Stinger Splashes followed by a Scorpion Deathlock and a 3-count. And this time, the ref was able to count it!

Winner: Sting

Match length: 14:56

TNA World Heavyweight Championship match:

Kevin Nash (w/Diamond Dallas Page) vs. Davey Boy Smith ©

Not quite as good as the previous match, but still really good entertainment from these two strong men. DDP tried to help Nash to victory several times without luck, and eventually Guerrero showed up to keep DDP out of the fray - battling him up the ramp, leaving only Davey Boy and Nash in the ring. Or...? Suddenly and surprisingly, Sean Waltman comes through the crowd while the ref has his back turned to count Nash out, who's down and hurt at ringside... Waltman enters the ring and hits a 1-2-3 Kick at Davey Boy, then quickly rolls out! Nash then "recovers" rather quickly, enters the ring and pins Davey Boy, who was just a split-second too slow to raise his arm! We have a new champion! What is this...?

Winner, and new champion: Kevin Nash

Match length: 22:12

Rating: B

After the match, Nash, DDP and Waltman celebrate in the ring. DDP pulls out a mask from his back pocket... and when putting it on it is obvious, that he was the man interfering to help Waltman get the X Division Championship earlier...
