captainlou
While Sting is learning the ropes, so to speak, he'll continue to pay his dues until you improve in enough attributes and get on a small roll so that you can gain a following (your global popularity). Keep plugging Sting! You'll get there eventually.!
Ranson
Also, set up a tag team (if you can) in every promotion. It increases your chances of working, I've found, and gives you a partner to fall back on while you're building skills. It's better if you can grab someone above you on the card. Many times in my current game my tag partner has pulled out a win for a match I was about to drop.
captainlou
I was lucky with mine. I got matched up with Barry Windham in PNW, Stan Lane in CWF and now Tommy Rich in WCCW. The game made Wildfire and I a full time tag team automatically after we won the Texas Tag Team titles. He's going to find that he has available everyone up to 2 spots on the card than where he sits that is not already on a tag team. He already has one in Mid-South, but for SWCW and HCW he will probably only be able to ask for someone who is no higher than a midcarder, but not an upper midcarder. I wanted to work on my singles career in the other two, but I'd much rather get matches to get my foot in the door there. I'm in a tag team in MSW anyways and still get mostly singles matches so hopefully it works out for me in the other two promotions. I'll make a special post about it when I find teams. BTW, I'm currently on vacation, should be back home in a week or so, so I won't be posting any game updates this week, but I'll be able to have conversations about it if anybody wants to talk. His road to stardom that he is on right now is something I hope I can start sometime soon. I know I'm going to need more experience to get to his level. Even though he bounced my head all over the cage tonight I think that I'm better for the experience. After the match he gave me some tips and mentioned that I should try forming some tag teams with more established wrestlers to get my name on the cards more, smart guy...
