Main Event: Rip Oliver, Buddy Rose & John Nord vs Jimmy Snuka and The Sawyer Brothers.

Could go either way (or be a draw) but I go with faces mainly because I expect the mystery man to mak he´s presense felt.

Match #1: Earthquake Ferris vs Ed Wiskowski (Television Tournament)

Coin flip but since I did chose Samoa on the other match I´m going with face guy here.

Match #2: Cocoa Samoa vs Jesse Barr (Television Tournament)

Barr is a tag team champion right now so it´s unlikely that he would win the TV belt as well, Samoa on the other hand was in a tag team that got seperated so I assume you have a singles push coming for him.

Dark Match #1: Archangel vs Steve Doll

Archangel is on the winning streak and I doubt that would be ended in a dark match.

Dark Match #2: Mike Miller & Abbuda Dein vs Indian War Party

I think you said earlier that War Party are just jobbers and Two Eagles losing to Art Barr certainly points that way too.

Match Notes: The match had great heat and decent in-ring action. Ed Wiskowski was used every trick in the book to keep Earthquake Ferris off his game. Continuously leaving the ring when Ferris got any momentum going. The crowd was really letting Wiskowski have, as he left the ring one more time. Ferris having enough of this went after only hit with a clothesline when Wiskowski jumped back into the ring. A nice slam and then a whip into the ropes into the sleeper hold looked to be the end for Ferris. But Ferris came back with the crowd chanting Earthquake...Earthquake. Rip Oliver and Jimmy Snuka did not even make it to the ring as they where hitting each other outside the ring. The referee had a hard time getting groups in there corners. After several minutes, the match looked more like a tag team match. Brett Sawyer and Buddy Rose went one on one, with Brett getting the better of the matchup. A quick tag to his brother Buzz and Rose was cut off. A cheap low blow aloud Rose to make the tag to Oliver but he was quickly hit with a clothesline by Buzz and a tag to Snuka followed. Snuka had Oliver down but for some reason went to the top rope near John Nord and Rose for the Superfly Splash, which Nord quickly knocked him back down to the mat. The Army cutoff Snuka from his teammates for a good portion on the match. The crowd was going crazy after failed tag, after failed tag by Snuka. Snuka was finally able to break free and tagged in Brett, who quickly took on all three members of The Army. Buzz soon joined and it match a lost control once again. The referee keep trying to regain order but was shoved aside by both Buzz and Nord. The referee had enough and call the bell, disqualifying both teams. Boos could be heard through out the crowd over that decision. The two team continued to brawl with each other as the show went off the air.

Double Disqualification at the 22:25 mark.

Overall (48)

Show Notes:

I do not understand the overall score of 48 for this show. I had some big ranking interviews and a main event almost 60. It does not really matter since it still improved my popularity but still only getting a 48 was disappointing to me. If anyone can guess the who the mystery wrestling is will win a prize. Zergon can not guess since he was the one to pick this person. One more show and then the Wrestling Extravaganza.

Please let me know what you think about the shows.

Thank you for reading.

Show Notes:

That was a great show. Jimmy Snuka is gold right now. It does not matter who he faces it is going to be a good match. Wrestling Extravaganza is set and is looking to be a good show. If you can guess the mystery wrestlers you will recieve a prize. He is one of the greatest wrestlers from the 80's. The Television Tournament Final was going to happen at Wrestling Extravaganza but Cocoa Somoa is away with another promotion and will miss the event. Main Event: Rip Oliver vs Jimmy Snuka (NWA Pacific Northwest Championship)(Last Man Standing Match)

Very tough call here as I could see it going either. Jimmy is the bigger star but I have this odd feeling that it is only a matter of time before the AWA, NWA, or WWF come and snatch him up.

Co-Main Event: Buddy Rose vs Mystery Wrestler

I think having the mystery wrestler win here is the best course of action to take.

Match #1: Buzz Sawyer vs John Nord

Match #2: Earthquake & Barr vs Mike Miller & Abbuda Dein (NWA Pacific Northwest Tag Team)

Match #3: Ed Wiskowski vs The Grappler

Match #4: Brett Sawyer vs The Assassin (Loser Leaves Town Match)

Brett is higher up on the card and you need as many faces as possible in this promotion.

Match #5: Archangel vs Sheik Abbullah Ali Hasen

Archangel has been impressive but I just do not think he is ready to get the win here.

Match #6: Burning Fury vs Latin Connection

Main Event: Rip Oliver vs Jimmy Snuka (NWA Pacific Northwest Championship)(Last Man Standing Match)

This is a hard one but I´d say that Oliver retains via cheating/interference

Co-Main Event: Buddy Rose vs Mystery Wrestler

Mystery guy takes the first round, possible via count out/DQ in order to continue this feud.

Match #1: Buzz Sawyer vs John Nord

Buzz is bigger name and he seems more important right now.

Match #2: Earthquake & Barr vs Mike Miller & Abbuda Dein (NWA Pacific Northwest Tag Team)

Earthquake & Barr just won the titles so I don´t see them losing those yet.

Match #3: Ed Wiskowski vs The Grappler

Grappler took the first match so now it´s Ed´s turn to get a win

Match #4: Brett Sawyer vs The Assassin (Loser Leaves Town Match)

Hard on as both have been quite important but I go with Brett staying.

Match #5: Archangel vs Sheik Abbullah Ali Hasen

Archangel has wins over Madrid and Assassin so beating Sheik is possible and I think that his first loss would have a little bit build-up and not some randomly thrown together match.

Match #6: Burning Fury vs Latin Connection

Coin flip so I´m going with team who got angle time in last show.

Dark Match #1: Art Barr vs Carl Styles

random pick

Dark Match #2: The Southern Rockers vs Indian War Party

War Party are still jobbers

Dark Match #3: Curtis Thompson vs Timothy Flowers

Flowers got into top 4 in TV Tournament while I don´t remember Thompson doing anything important so far

Dark Match #4: Chris Colt vs Rex King

Eh, to be honest I don´t remember either guy so this is just a random pick.

Yes Jimmy is a big star and he is with AWA already but it is not exclusive or written right now. I could really see Jimmy getting signed to the WWF real soon myself, so right now I'm trying to use him as much as I can.

Co-Main Event: Buddy Rose vs Mystery Wrestler

So your saying even though Jimmy is way over, Rip is the better choice here? I've already got the results done and I have picked the winner, I'm just curious on where you think this is going.

You picked wrestler. Do you believe it will be a good choice?

Yes Flowers made it to the top 4 in the tournament but that could have just been a flux.

I usually give champ some wins before I make a title change and that´s the main reason why I chose Rip over Snuka. There is also the fact that I haven´t played this mod and don´t have any real idea about this time period so I don´t really have any idea how over one guy is compered to another so overness levels doesn´t affect my picks because I´m not aware of them:). Also heel winning via cheating would likely lead to a rematch and further this feud.

As for is the mystery guy a good choice? I believe so but like I said I don´t know much about this mod so no idea how good he actually is.

Flowers getting to top 4 might have been a flux but I haven´t seen Thompson doing anything so far and actually had to look to a roster page before I even knew who he was so Flowers was an easy pick for me.:p

Who do you think the mystery wrestler is?

I was going to go with Scotty the Body because he had a good run in PNW. However, he has yet to debut so I am not sure who could have been brought in.

How about Eddie Guerrero, he is the future tag team partner of Art Barr. The only thing against him is I am not sure he would be over enough to take part in a Main Event program at this point in his career.

So to answer your question, I have no clue.:D

Oliver then hits the piledriver, on the ring bell and then he does it one more time. Fans are starting to cry, mothers are turning there children faces away from the action. After the third piledriver on the ring bell, Oliver walks raises is hands in victory. The ten count is just mandatory at this point.

Winner by opponent unable to answer the ten count…. Rip Oliver at the 25:23 mark.

(66)

Overall (50)

Show Notes:

I was hoping for a 70 for the main event but feud is still going so hopefully by the end 70's will be the norm. Everything else went has expected with some nice numbers for some and a little low for others. I will still considered this a success even though it must have been strange to see less then 2000 fans in a 15000 seat coliseum.

Please let me know what you think about the shows.

Thank you for reading.

Main Event: The Grappler vs Rip Oliver (NWA Pacific Northwest Heavyweight Championship Bout)

Standard title defense as Grappler haven´t got enough build up to win the title.

Match #1: Cocoa Somoa vs Earthquake Ferris (NWA Pacific Northwest Television Bout)

Ferris is tag champ so I give this one to Cocoa.

Match #2: Sgt. Slaughter vs Chris Colt

Squash

Match #3: Archangel vs Rickey Santana

I still go with Archangel.

Dark Match #1: Art Barr vs Cary Styles

Barr have had more in ring time

Dark Match #2: Burning Fury vs Southern Rockers

I think that Burning Fury is higher on the ladders.

http://i1091.photobucket.com/albums/i387/thunderwill/TEW/th_PNW.jpg PNW Two Month Review.

Wrestling Extravaganza thoughts:

I thought it was a great show. Good main event and co-main event. Zergon picked Sgt. Slaughter to be the mystery worker. His choices were Bobby Jaggers, Matt Borne, Rickey Vaughn and Sgt. Slaughter. He picked Sgt. Slaughter, as that was the only one he knew. I thought the under-card did it's job with decent matches but nothing that would burn out the crowd. Jimmy Snuka is gold right now and hopefully WWF will keep there distance from him.

As Pacific Northwest Wrestling enters into the May, the promotion is riding a nice little wave of growth. Younger talent is getting some face time in the ring and big things are still coming to the promotion.

Kayfabe Information:

http://i1091.photobucket.com/albums/i387/thunderwill/TEW/th_CubanAssassin.jpg The Assassin has left the territory due to lose to the Brett Sawyer in there Loser Leaves Town match.

Non-Kayfabe Information:

The reason why The Assassin was let go as he had 6 backstage incidents during an 8 week period. He was suspended, fined and giving warnings with no change in attitude, so it was just best to let him go. Also Brett Sawyer and Buzz Sawyer have been put on notice as they each have 4 incidents already. Well it will hurt the storyline that I have planned; I can not have a big cancer in the locker-room. Buzz Sawyer has been better since I fined him but Brett has been good one week and bad the next.

Kayfabe Information:

http://i1091.photobucket.com/albums/i387/thunderwill/TEW/th_SheikAbdullahAli.jpg Sheik Abdullah Ali Hassan, http://i1091.photobucket.com/albums/i387/thunderwill/TEW/th_PNNews2.jpg Avalanche, http://i1091.photobucket.com/albums/i387/thunderwill/TEW/th_TimothyFlowers2.jpg Timothy Flowers have all left the territory.

Non-Kayfabe Information:

Sheik Abdullah Ali Hassan and Timothy Flowers contract was not renewed. We have plenty of veteran wrestlers, that we did not need Hassan or Flowers to fill the role of teaching the younger wrestlers. Avalanche was released from his contract, as the hated by the fans and not in a good way.

Non-Kayfabe Information:

PNW has lost just over 10k but mostly due to having Wrestling Extravaganza in an arena that was to large. I wanted to hold the tradition of holding events in the Portland Memorial Coliseum and will do the same thing in next years Wrestling Extravaganza. Sgt. Slaughter was a nice addition to the promotion but will be kept to 1 or 2 shows a month as he is highest paid wrestler on the roster. Same thing for Jimmy Snuka but will use him 2 or 3 times a month as the extra cost for him is worth it since he is so over with the Portland crowd.

With Hassan, Avalanche, Flowers and The Assassin all leaving the promotion, we will replace them with wrestlers that have had a PNW connection in there past or future. I would like to get some younger talent but that will not be the only reason in looking for new talent. There is a big list of talent and I should have no problem finding those wrestlers that will fit into what I’m trying to do. Also I will be hiring more managers, to give some of the wrestlers that are challenged on the microphone a better chance to shine.

The American Ninja aka Brian Adams will be off the cards for the next 2 or 3 months as he is getting a new gimmick and character to play. Hopefully this will jump start his career.

Archangel is a real wrestlers and the only thing I edited in the data expect for venues. Archangel is one of my favorite wrestlers that I believe could have been the next big thing during the 90’s with Shawn Michael and Brett Hart but drugs and personal demons destroyed his career, much like every wrestlers from the late 80’s and 90’s. I edited him by lowering his popularity a little and giving him a 10-year written contract. All other information was left the same, expect for the alter of Archangel.

As always please let me know what you think, as I'm trying to improve and learn.

I do not think that by getting rid of any of those three your roster is going to suffer. First off I have no clue as to who Timothy Flowers and Sheik Abdullah Ali Hassan were so they will not be missed by me. And the other guy was PN News so I think enough is said about that.:D

I still have nightmares about the scaffold match that he had while in WCW.:D

As far as Brett and Buzz go, well that sucks because they are two of your more major faces on the roster. However, I am sure there are people who could step in and replace them. That is after all the nature of running an indy promotion.

A little late to the party but totally enjoying catching up on all the action!! One thing I learned when playing these old school mods is that while you may book the BIG arena in your mind and storyline, you almost have to use a more realistic sized facility for game purposes (or go broke very quickly). not sure if dropping ticket prices to below market value would increase attendance enough to make a difference.

Main Event: The Grappler vs Rip Oliver (NWA Pacific Northwest Heavyweight Championship Bout)

strong champion that is capable of carrying the main event against most of your top face stars.

Match #1: Cocoa Somoa vs Earthquake Ferris (NWA Pacific Northwest Television Bout)

I agree that the Samoan should go over here - and maybe this sets him and his partner up for a tag title match

Match #2: Sgt. Slaughter vs Chris Colt

blow out squash - Sarge should be HUGE after knocking off Rose. Guess he will be built to challenge Oliver for the title at the next major card.

Match #3: Archangel vs Rickey Santana

Look for Archangel to keep moving up the charts to fulfill his legacy

Dark Match #1: Art Barr vs Cary Styles

owner's son goes over

Dark Match #2: Burning Fury vs Southern Rockers

Fury may be the higher rated team, but Southern Rockers are fast risers - your version of the Rock and Roll Express or Midnight Rockers - maybe the win is by DQ since it IS a dark match. Can see them getting some quality wins so they can provide a challenge the Family (especially if anything happens to the Sawyers due to backstage politics).
