Turning Zonk 'Rudo' was a good move, I always think his character works better as a crazy clown, than as a 'fun' clown. I also get the feeling that Dark Acolytes are being groomed for a stronger run right now, than Fly High who just seem to be two luchador jobbers thrown together.

 

Kirk Jameson vs. Titan

 

When I did my FCW diary for TEW2008, I also had the same feelings towards Titan. In a promotion over-crowded with useless over-sized lumps, Titan is the most useless over-sized lump of them all.

 

Bradford Peverell vs. The Sensational Singh

 

You feel that Singh is going to move on soon, and Peverall can be built as a future leading face for FCW, following the departure of Power and possibly the impending departures of Gonzalez and Hernandez.

I don't see either of the faces getting the win here, the belts been on face for a long time with Power and it's time for a change in that respect and it's also possible that Gonzalez and Hernandez will move on soon. Out of the two heels Stranger should produce better matches and I think you can make Bouncer looks all menancing and a threat to FCW without putting the belt on him.

Maybe that distractws them a little bit too much as this time Natural Storm proves to be better team as D.C.Rayne hits Galindo with Storm Damage while Howard keeps Velasquez busy.

The announcers speculate that Zonk and DeCipher must have joined the Bringers of Darkness and DeVille soon confirms this and announces that the duo will be known now as Dark Acolytes. DeVille also informs that now that Power is gone, there is no-one who can stop them to gain control over FCW and their domination will start tonight when Hell´s Bouncer will get the Puerto Rican title. Handsome Stranger comes to the ring and starts bragging about he sent Puerto Rican Power out of the promotion and how he should just be given the Puerto Rican title because of that. Of course that kind of trash talk always draws someone who wants to shut the lout mouth down and this time that someone is Mainstream Hernandez who tells Stranger that he should walk the walk instead of just talk the talk. Hernandez also promises Stranger that he will stop Stranger from winning the Puerto Rican title. Stranger dismisses Hernandez as a rookie who has no business in a title fight, a notion that Hernandez doesn´t take all that well. D+

Close encounter between two talented guys. Batch proves to be real nuisance on the ring side (for Peverell) as he interferences multiple times during the match, but in the end Peverell is able to pick up the win non-the-less with Dream Left Hook that knocks Singh out for a three count.

This match was pretty messy from the beginning as you might expect from a four-way match. All four guys looked strong out there and you got the impression that anyone could have won this one. Gonzales and Bouncer spend a long times fighting each other´s as they rivalry continues and that seems to suit Stranger and Hernandez just fine as those two spend lots of time trying to knock each other´s out. No-one isn´t able to end the match though because someone is always ready to break any pin attemps. This might have gone for a long time but in the end there is outside interference when a hooded man comes to the ring side looking to cause troubles.

That man is quickly identified as The Darkness Warrior and Lynch and O´Hara make an educated guess that Warrior is the newest member of Bringers of Darkness. That is also quickly confirmed when Warrior attacks Hernandez and Stranger who are fighting with each other´s outside of the ring. After knocking the duo down Warrior throws unconscious Hernandez to the ring but before Bouncer could make a pin attempt he is taken out by Gonzales who then makes an academic pin on Hernandez thus sealing his victory.

Gonzales might have won the match but he has no time to celebrate when Darkness Warrior hits the ring and proceeds to destroy Gonzales. The show ends with Warrior standing on top of Gonzales who seems to be out cold. C

Comments: Nice to see that I still managed to get C- match even without Power though then again that match included my four best guys. as for other notes DeCipher and Zonk doesn´t work well as a team which is real shame since I planned to have them tagging up for long time. They were also meant to be managed by Sienna DeVille but I forgot to add her as their manger… Oh well I add her to that role after the show. Also, Singh has good chemistry with Peverell which is nice and all expect that TCW grew on International and signed both Batch and Singh to written contracts. They passed Hernandez though (at least so far) so guess I should count myself lucky. Oh, and Darkness Warrior was of course the mystery man in the dark match as I have learned on the hard way that you don´t debut guys in angles unless they have been at least on dark match already.

You know that´s actually pretty interesting idea, I might need to use that pairing sometime. Likely not in this diary though since I plan to let Titan go but I could see it working in one of those 0/0/0/0 games that I play frequently.

The Darkness Warrior

Age: 38

Heel, Evil Doer

You can never have enough big menacing guys on your roster… well ok you can and FCW definitely has its share of those already but Warrior fits in well and isn´t totally useless on my admittedly very low standards. So Darkness Warrior is hardly great by any means but he does have name value and more importantly he is from Puerto Rica so, as I said, I figured that he would fit in pretty well especially considering that there is already bunch of big menacing dudes with scary gimmicks in the roster (and also Warrior is one of those guys that I have always wanted to use and this was too good opportunity to pass up). Original idea was that Warrior would join Messiah and Bouncer in their feud against Puerto Rican Power after current feuds would have ended (Warrior would have debuted after Power would have ended his feud with Stranger), but Power leaving made me change my plans a little bit and thus Warrior debuts now and is instantly thrown in the top feud with Gonzales, Peverell and Bringers of Darkness.

Carl Batch, The Sensational Singh & Puerto Rican Power

 

Yeah, so I definitely lost some talented guys here, but at least Singh and Batch where expected to leave so I didn´t have any plans for them anyway. Power was definitely a surprise and one that hurts a lot but it does leave me to an interesting situation as Power pretty much was FCW and now I need to try and build new guy as the face of the promotion. So overall though the losses were tough, I think that I can manage to do well without them. Let´s just hope that I won´t lose anyone else during the next few months.

Predictions:This one proved to be hardest round so far with Tigerkinney and Jaded getting the best score (4/5). Main event and the two tag matches where the once that caused problems with everyone correctly guessing that Jameson and Peverell would win their matches. Dark Acolytes got the win because it was their debut as a tag team and because I felt that having them lose right after joining the main heel stable wouldn´t look all that good. That bad tag chemistry note will hurt them though and I have to re-think how I use them in the future. Nataral Storm winning the tag titles so early was also a surprise and admittably one that I´m not totally happy of as I would have liked to give Latino Kings a longer run. However there were certain reasons why I felt the need to move the titles, one is that as a face team, Natural Storm currently have more possible feud options than what a heel team would have. Then there was that main event and I was little bit surprised that no-one picked Gonzalez to win. I basically considered 7 different guys who I could see holding the main title right now. Of those seven I eliminated Bouncer, Messiah and Warrior because frankly their skills aren´t good enough to carry others in the main events and I usually expect my champs to be able to do that (and as Tigerkinney mentioned they can go over via menace based angles plus squash matches). Hernandez where eliminated because he isn´t over enough yet and I need to build him up before I see him ready to hold the main belt. Same would go to Peverell as I´m just isn´t seeing him holding the title until I give him few big wins to build him up. Stranger would have been good option but in the end I did go with the safer (and more boring) choice and made Gonzalez the champion. My reasoning is that his high overness + good wrestling skills gurantee me good grades so it´s safe to put him in the main events with my other top guys. Also I found it odd that Gonzalez hadn´t won any titles in FCW as he has been one of their main guys so I decided to give him a title run that I think he deserved. Plus there is of course that looming fact that I probably can´t resign him once his contract ends so I better use him as long as I have him.

Shawn Gonzales isn´t getting any rest as he is forced to defend his newly won Puerto Rican title against Handsome Stranger who claims that he should be the champion. Can Gonzales beat the egoistical Stranger or will Stranger prove his claims right? And what will Hell´s Bouncer and rest of the Bringers of Darkness do? Speaking of Bringers of Darkness the stable mates have been scheduled in two matches. Darkness Warrior will make his in ring debut when he teams up with Leper Messiah against Fly High, while El Hijo De Zonk will face Kirk Jameson in singles action. The Latino Kings are also having a busy night as they have not only change to win back the tag titles but also to win the Peoples Championship. Rudy Velasquez will go face-to-face with Mainstream Hernandez while Hector Galindo and Jesus Chavez will try to recapture the tag titles from Natural Storm. Bradford Peverell will also step in the ring and he is having a huge mountain to climb as he faces Ox Mastadon in singles action.

Gonzales seems little bit pissed off about the fact that Peverell didn´t come to help him last month after Hell´s Bouncer attacked him. Peverell claims that he had left little bit earlier because he was on the hurry and reminds Gonzales that he had asked Peverell to “stay out of the way”. Lynch notes that those two soon doesn´t need enemies as their alliance seems to cause them enough problems, O´Hara is slightly more hopeful and claims that both guys have enough common sense to overcome their problems especially with the menacing group trying to control the federation. Lynch remarks that Gonzales has always known as loner who just doesn´t work well with others. C-

Galindo and Chavez seems determinate to get the tag titles back but although they fight well together they aren´t as experienced on fighting together than what Galindo and Velasquez would have been. That might have ended up costing them this match as Natural Storm is working like a well-oiled machine and Eddie Howard ends this one with Crash and Burn on Galindo.

Mastadon dominates the start of this match with his power offence but Peverell shows his resilience by surviving the beating. Soon Ox makes few mistakes that allow Peverell to get some offence of his own and he manages to show why he´s nickname is Hands of Stone when his Dream Left Hook puts Ox down for a three count.

Stranger plays his usual mind games with Gonzales but it seems that lone wolf isn´t biting and as a result Gonzales manages to stay on the control for most of the match.

That is until Hell´s Bouncer comes in the ringside and hits Damnation Drop on Gonzales while Stranger distracts the referee. Gonzales shows he´s resilience and manages to kick out from the pin but it clearly looks like Stranger is on the driver seat.

However that all changes when Hernandez comes from the back. Stranger is distracted and starts yelling at Hernandez, forgetting Gonzales for a few seconds. That proves to be a big mistake as Gonzales recovers enough to put Stranger on Latino Crab and forces Stranger to tap out.

Comments: Peverell did hilarious road stories before the show and lightened up the mood on backstage. Good thing too since Shawn Gonzales have apparently decided to be bad backstage influence. Guess that´s why he haven´t hold any titles in FCW so far, it seems to go to his head instantly. Velasquez and Hernandez had good chemistry together which helps explant why they managed to have C- match with each other´s. I need to keep that in mind for the future as there is a very potential feud there. Overall solid show again though admittedly Shawn and his high overness are the main reason why I´m doing so well.

Predictions:First of all big thank you for everyone who took time to comment/predict/read this one as seven predictions is biggest number of predictors I ever had to any round:). This card proved to be another rather easy one with TakerNGN74, Tigerkinney and Jaded all got 6/6 for this round while everyone else got either 4 or 5 right and most wrong choises seemed to be more about how you hoped that things would go rather than actually believing in those. Jameson over Zonk where the one which caused most problems. That particular fight was simple overness swap as Zonk had somehow got to uppermidcard with E overness and Jameson was in E- and as much as I like Zonk he´s currently a henchman and is in tag team with negative tag chemistry so he doesn´t really need that overness right now (by the way he isn´t actually in any storylines not in game ones at least even though he is part of the Bringers of Darkness stable).

There have been some issues between Gonzales and Peverell lately but can they still work together in order to beat the dark duo? Mainstream Hernandez is having another though title defense as he is forced to defend his title against both King Kong Kennedy and his occasional tag team partner Kirk Jameson. Latino Kings and Natural Storm will clash once again too, this time in 3 vs. 3 fight where Jesus Chavez joins his stable mates while Storm is having youngster Arthur Dexter Bradley on their corner.
