WWF 1989: Kayfabe Returns

Recommended Posts

Great follow up show. Nothing too exciting, but interesting nonetheless. We have the tag team title picture rolling along nicely. Hercules' heel turn is off to a good start and gives he and Duggan something to do. Martel and Windham is something I'm looking forward to, as well as where Rude goes next. Beefcake, Andre maybe? IDK. I'm extremely excited to see how the Hogan/Snake feud plays out, and not to mention the "semi-main" future program with Savage/Perfect! That one should be all kinds of awesome.

I do have on request though. I think you should post the roster at the start of every new month maybe. It doesn't have to be every show, as there seems to be low turnover, which I like. But especially in the case of ppl trying to choose a potential Wrestling Challenge main event, a quick look at the roster might remind someone that " hey, Earthquake is on the roster. Maybe I should go all out and put him against Beefcake for the highest rated main event on WC ever!!"

Keep up the good work my man.

HONKY TONK MAN SPOTTED AT AWA AND USWA EVENTS

<a href="http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/?action=view&current=honkytonkman.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/honkytonkman.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

The 14 people who make up the world's official "Honky Tonk Mania" fan club have recently posted some information in their monthly magazine. According to Honky Tonk Dan, fan club president, Honky Tonk Mania was recently running wild in the front row of the crowd at an AWA show, where Honky was flaunting his ticket to the fans.

Honky was also seen at a USWA event as well, and the fan club claims that this could be signs that Honky is looking to wrestle for one of these organizations. Does that mean that he will continue to wrestle for the World Wrestling Federation? That remains to be seen. One member of the club, Pink Cadillac Paul states that he has traveled to every WWF show in the past week, and Honky did not wrestle on any of those shows. However, on a positive note, the club will reimburse Pink Cadillac Paul for his travel costs.

We'll check out next month's issue of "Honky Tonk Maniazine" for more information on this developing story.

I'm going with Ivan Koloff just to be different...

The Brainbusters vs. Koko B. Ware and Paul Roma

Brainbusters over what would've been a fairly interesting regular team!

Nikolai Volkoff vs. Tito Santana

Love the Chico. If it Koloff he could interject here... maybe... I'm clutching at straws aren't I?

Raymond Rougeau vs. Bret Hart

More Rougeaus than you can shake a stick at... Can only be the Hitman

MAIN EVENT SINGLES MATCH

Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine vs. 'Macho Man' Randy Savage

Has Macho officially turned then? Should be a cracking bout.

Thanks as always man! And yeah, the roster is something that I've looked at doing, along with championship updates and a WWF magazine type feature as well. Just got so caught up in the Survivor Series build that I decided to hold them off for a while. But with a new month coming up in a few shows, I'll start incorporating more updates and features into the diary.

Jacques Rougeau vs. ????? (hint: former WWWF champion)

I'm thinking it could be return of Bob Backlund or maybe somehow Bruno, still he beats Jacques..

The Brainbusters vs. Koko B. Ware and Paul Roma

Sadden me.. where is Powers?! Roma and Powers job better together.

Nikolai Volkoff vs. Tito Santana

Can't see Chico losing to Volkoff

Raymond Rougeau vs. Bret Hart

Can't see Raymond getting the singles victory here.

MAIN EVENT SINGLES MATCH

Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine vs. 'Macho Man' Randy Savage

Like to see Hammer get a small push, but not going to beat Savage.

Side note, with HTM showing up at other promotions.. I'm guessing there will be no Ryhtm 'n Blues?

WWF PRIME TIME WRESTLING - Week 4, Nov. 1989

- We cut in to see Gorilla Monsoon and Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan sitting behind the desk in the Prime Time Wrestling studios.

Gorilla Monsoon - Hello everyone and welcome to another exciting edition of Prime Time Wrestling. I’m your host Gorilla Monsoon, and as always, I’m joined by a rather chipper Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan. In a good mood, huh Brain?

Bobby Heenan - Why wouldn’t I be, Monsoon? I’m here with you.

GM - Oh is that why you can’t wipe that grin off of your face?

BH - Sure it is. Why must you always insinuate that I’m up to something? I’m simply here to do my job and call the action with my best friend in the World Wrestling Federation.

GM - Oh that’s rich. I think someone might have put a little something extra in your turkey last Thursday night.

BH - They sure didn’t. I’m just happy to be here, Monsoon.

GM - Well ladies and gentlemen, we’re gonna have the World Wrestling Federation training staff come take a look at The Brain during our first match, to make sure that he hasn’t suffered some type of head injury. But speaking of our first match, it features Jacques Rougeau going up against a returning former WWWF champion…..Bob Backlund.

BH - Backlund’s a good wrestler, but no one can hold a candle to you in the ring, Monsoon. No one.

Jacques Rougeau vs. Bob Backlund

<a href="

http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/?action=view&current=jacquesrougeau2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/jacquesrougeau2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/?action=view&current=bobbacklund2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/bobbacklund2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Match Notes: A solid wrestling match, with Backlund’s technical style on display. Rougeau got frustrated quickly, with Backlund locking on moves that Rougeau had seemingly never seen before. Raymond was getting just as frustrated on the outside, and Jimmy Hart was yelling into referee Danny Davis that the moves were illegal. Backlund was in complete control and went to run off the ropes when Raymond caught his leg and knocked him down. Davis didn’t see it as Hart had jumped on the apron and then back down, and Backlund reached down and pulled Raymond onto the apron and held him there. The crowd went wild as he was doing that, but then Jacques came running at Backlund. Unfortunately for Jacques, Backlund stepped out of the way and Jacques steamrolled into Raymond, which sent Raymond flying off the apron and onto the guardrail. Backlund then used the rollup on Jacques to score the pinfall.

WINNER: Bob Backlund at 6:43 (70)

GM - Well it looks like Bob Backlund has shaken off the ring rust, Brain, as he looked pretty good in that one.

BH - Yes he has, Monsoon. An impressive showing. But ya know, Monsoon, you look a little thirsty. Can I get you something to drink?

GM - Alright, Brain. Let’s go ahead and get to the bottom of this. The training staff checked you out during the match and they found nothing wrong with you. I’m sorry, Brain, but plain and simple, you’re being…..well, generous. So something is clearly not right.

BH - I still don’t quite understand. I feel perfectly fine. Hang on a second, Monsoon. (looking off set) Excuse me, kind sir. Would you go ahead and roll the Rockers/Twin Towers clip? Monsoon does it all the time so I just wanted to help him out a little. C’mon, let’s roll the clip.

<a href="

<a href="http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/?action=view&current=akeem.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/akeem.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/?action=view&current=bigbossman3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/bigbossman3.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

- We cut to a video showing the recent events between the Rockers and the Twin Towers, with the video concluding with highlights of Michaels pinning Big Bossman to win the Survivor Series elimination match. (74)

GM - What an intense matchup that should be this Friday on Superstars, as we’ll know one of the teams who will make up the top challengers match at Saturday Night’s Main Event in a few weeks.

BH - (sitting with a huge grin on his face)…..

GM - You, of all people, have nothing to add on that, Brain?

BH - Sorry, Monsoon. I didn’t catch the question. I was admiring your outstanding broadcasting ability.

GM - Would you stop! I asked about the Rockers/Twin Towers match for the right to move into the top challengers match at Saturday Night’s Main Event.

BH - It should be a great match.

GM - Any other innovative responses that you’d like to add?

BH - No there’s not. Let’s get to our next match.

GM - Well perhaps this next match will throw you back into your weasel ways, as we’ll see another team involved in the top challenger race in action.

The Brainbusters vs. Koko B. Ware and Paul Roma

<a href="

http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/?action=view&current=arnanderson3.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/arnanderson3.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/?action=view&current=tullyblanchard.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/tullyblanchard.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/?action=view&current=kokobware2.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/kokobware2.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/?action=view&current=paulroma.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/paulroma.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Match Notes: A very good tag team affair that saw the Brainbusters really show their fantastic chemistry. The name of the game for Arn and Tully in this one was lots of technical maneuvers to try and dissect both Koko and Roma during the match. Although Koko made a late push, the Brainbusters pretty much controlled this match from start to finish, in an attempt to show their claim that they are the top challengers. The match could have ended several minutes in, but Arn and Tully kept pulling their opponents up before referee Joey Marella could count the three. After Koko had Tully down late, he went up top for the Missile Dropkick, but it was to no avail, as Arn was outside the ring on that site and hit the ropes. Koko fell off the ropes and Tully hit the Slingshot Suplex…..1-2-3!

WINNERS: The Brainbusters at 7:33 (79)

GM - Now c’mon, Brain. You’ve gotta return to weasel form after seeing your team score a victory.

BH - Not yet, Monsoon.

GM - Oh, so you’re at least acknowledging that you’re being quite the opposite of your normal self?

BH - I don’t know what you’re talking about.

GM - Are you serious, Brain? Are you going to keep up this act all night?

BH - I don’t know what this act is that you speak of.

GM - Well maybe this will get you to talking. We’ve got a special interview with the World Wrestling Federation Tag Team champions, and from what I understand, Brain, they’ve got a few words in there about your team that was just victorious a moment ago.

BH - Well hey, they’ve got the right to their opinion. Let’s hear what they have to say.

- We cut to a video where we see Demolition standing confidently with their tag title belts on their shoulder.

Ax - “Everybody’s been talking and want to know what we think about this whole top challenger business for our WWF titles. Quite frankly, we don’t care who wins between the Rockers and Twin Towers this week on Superstars, and we certainly don’t care who wins next week between the Hart Foundation and the Brainbusters. There’s a reason why we’ve got these gold belts on our shoulder…..and that’s because we’re the best tag team in the world. Whoever comes out on top at Saturday Night’s Main Event, we’ll have no problem crushing them at the Royal Rumble.”

Smash - “That’s right, Ax! They don’t call us Demolition for nothin’! No matter who we face at the Rumble, we’re gonna do what we always we do, and that’s SMASH our opponents into smithereens! We’ll be watching closely over these next two weeks, and whoever gets that top challenger spot, congratulations! But you better know that your reward will be getting pinned to the mat by the most feared tag team in the World Wrestling Federation!” (89)

GM - Certainly some very confident words from our WWF Tag Team champions, Brain.

BH - Well they earned those belts, Monsoon. That’s why they get to call themselves the champions.

GM - OK, OK. Now I know you’re off your rocker. In no way, shape, or form would you EVER compliment Ax and Smash, especially considering that they beat the Brainbusters to win those belts!

BH - Oh yes, I seem to recall that. Good match. I’m confident that Arn and Tully will get another shot at them, however. And may be the best team win.

GM - I don’t even know what to say, Brain. Let’s just get to our next match.

Nikolai Volkoff vs. Tito Santana

<a href="

http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/?action=view&current=nikoliavolkov.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/nikoliavolkov.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/?action=view&current=titosantana4.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/titosantana4.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Match Notes: A nice match that was controlled by the big Russian, who came out with a flurry of power moves that landed Tito in a world of hurt early on. The boos from the crowd were deafening, especially when Volkoff ignored a count from referee Earl Hebner and just continued to stomp away at Tito on the mat. But after Volkoff started paying too much attention to taunting the crowd, Tito gained some momentum by hitting a few punches to the mid-section, and then began his attack from there. Volkoff tried to gain control back by throwing Tito off the ropes, but Tito hit the Flying Crossbody, and held on tightly as Hebner counted the three.

WINNER: Tito Santana at 6:04 (74)

GM - A good victory for Tito Santana, as he’s been on a nice little roll in singles competition as of late, Brain.

BH - (with tape now on his mouth)

GM - What in the world is this, Brain…..ya know, I had a feeling all this overly nice stuff would get to you. You simply can’t stand it anymore, can you? You had to go as far as putting a big piece of tape on your mouth, huh?

BH - (holds a thumbs up)

GM - Well ladies and gentlemen, the Brain is in fine form tonight, but right now, it’s time to take a look back at the unfortunate turn of events that concluded Survivor Series last Thursday night inside Madison Square Garden, with Jake ‘The Snake’ Roberts revealing himself as Hulk Hogan’s mystery attacker. Let’s take a look.

- We cut to a package showing the finish to the 4-on-3 handicap match at Survivor Series, with a masked man interfering to give DiBiase the victory, and then the man unmasking to reveal himself as Roberts, and then the admission that he was the attacker. (84)

GM - I still can’t believe what we saw that night, Brain. Something needs to be done about the Snake, because now he’s after the biggest star in the World Wrestling Federation. Wait…..now the Brain is writing on paper.

BH - (slides over a piece of paper on the desk)

GM - “The Snake is bad…..Hogan is good.” Really, Brain? You’re serious? When is this game gonna end? The World Wrestling Federation champion was attacked by the psychotic Jake Roberts, and this is the type of insight that you provide? If this keeps up, it may be time to start thinking of a replacement for you. Perhaps we could get Hacksaw Jim Duggan in here. He’s quite the energetic gentleman.

BH - (scribbles something down and then slides another piece of paper over)

GM - “HOOOOO.” Very good, Brain. Let’s get to our next matchup!

Raymond Rougeau vs. Bret Hart

<a href="

http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/?action=view&current=raymondrougeau.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/raymondrougeau.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/?action=view&current=BretHart18.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/BretHart18.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Match Notes: A great technical wrestling match here, with Raymond trying to one-up Bret every time he made a nice move. When Raymond would counter a move from Bret or get some type of hold locked on, he would then run to the opposite side of the ring with his hands held high as if he had won the match. Jimmy Hart was trying to play up Raymond’s outstanding work, but it seemed like when he did, Bret would take back control of the match. Neither man could really gain an advantage until late in the match when Raymond hit the bodyslam, and then locked on the Japanese Armlock. Bret struggled and finally made it to the ropes, as Raymond held his head in agony, trying to figure out Hart got out of such an efficient move. Hart slowly made it to one knee while Raymond pleaded with referee Tim White, and Jimmy Hart was continuing to go crazy on the outside. But from out of nowhere, Hart got up quickly and went up from behind and rolled Raymond up with the School Boy for the 1-2-3.

WINNER: Bret Hart at 12:13 (76)

GM - An excellent technical display put on there by Bret Hart, as he and the Anvil prepare for their big showdown with the Brainbusters next week. Surely you have something to say about that, Brain? This is one of your opponents next week!

BH - (still sitting contently)

GM - Fine, Brain. Let’s just go ahead and get to our next interview, which you are actually featured in, Brain. Here’s a word from the man who retained the Intercontinental Title in a steel cage at Survivor Series, ‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude.

- We cut to the interview center, with Rude rubbing the Intercontinental Title around his waist, and Heenan looking on with a huge smile on his face.

Rick Rude - “Just take a look at this body. No, I’m serious. All of you people out there take a look at the best body in the entire World Wrestling Federation. Oh…..but wait a second……what is that I see? Oh yes, it’s the WWF Intercontinental Championship. And that’s right boys and girls, just like I told you it would be, it’s still around the waist of the ravishing one. I told all of you that no matter what, there was no way that I was leaving Madison Square Garden without this beautiful piece of gold around my beautiful waist. I heard all the doubters, and I heard everyone say that the cage match with the Warrior would be the end of the ravishing reign…..but……that didn’t happen at all, did it? Because you see, there’s a reason why I’m a part of the Heenan Family. Just like the Brainbusters and Haku and Barbarian….I’ve got the tools necessary to be aligned with the smartest mind in wrestling today. So what did I do? That’s right, I used the Warrior’s own powers against him. But hey, enough about the Warrior. Because I’m finished with him. Unfortunately, as I’ve sat back over the past few months and stared at the challenger scene, I’ve come to the conclusion that there is NO ONE in the WWF that can take this belt from around my waist. And well, haha, that’s just something all of you non-athletic, fat slobs out there in the crowd have to deal with. Because you’re looking at the current Intercontinental champion and the future Intercontinental champion.” (100)

GM - Well, Brain, I…..

BH - (rips off the tape from his mouth) WHAT ABOUT THAT, MONSOON?! HOW DID YOU LIKE THAT, HUH? I told you, I told you, I told you! You sat here for weeks and told me that the Warrior was gonna take the belt from Rude…..but that didn’t happen, did it, Monsoon?!

GM - I should have saw this coming.

BH - Oh I’m not finished yet. I haven’t got to talk all night so I’ve got plenty more to say.

GM - Well all that we have left is featured bout, Brain. So you…..

BH - Ah shut up. You and all the humanoids out there can take your featured bout and shove it! Because you just saw the feature attraction here in the World Wrestling Federation, and that’s the man that is STILL the Intercontinental Champion, ‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude. You were wrong, Monsoon! I’ve got the smartest group in the history of professional wrestling, and Rude proved that inside the cage at Survivor Series. He’s the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all-time, and there is no one on the WWF that can hold a candle to him. Not Warrior, not Hogan, no one!

GM - Are you finished yet, Brain?

BH - Almost. I’ve made a few notes on things that I said earlier that might have confused the humanoids out there. Number one, I do not under any circumstances want to see you get back in the ring, Monsoon. Number two, the real WWF Tag Team champions are the Brainbusters, and they’ll prove that at the Royal Rumble. Demolition cheated them out of the titles and everyone knows it. And last, but certainly not least, if you got that moron Duggan to replace me, the ratings for this show would go down the toilet faster than the speed of sound. From what I’ve gathered, the man only knows how to say one word and that’s it. But hey, if that’s what you want, then that’s fine by me, Monsoon.

GM - Brain, I say this in the nicest way, but I believe myself and everyone watching at home would prefer that you put that piece of tape back on your mouth. Ladies and gentlemen, it’s time for our featured contest of the evening, with the Macho Man going 1-on-1 with Greg ‘The Hammer’ Valentine.

Greg Valentine vs. Macho Man Randy Savage

<a href="

http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/?action=view&current=gregvalentine.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/gregvalentine.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/?action=view&current=randysavage5.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1004.photobucket.com/albums/af162/TheBlake/randysavage5.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Match Notes: Certainly a little bit of a change for Savage in the past few months, as he was greeted to cheers from the crowd as he entered the ring for this matchup. There were even a few chants of “Macho Man” which caused Savage to circle the ring and look around at the fans. This was a fantastic back and forth match, with neither man really taking control throughout. The Hammer worked his hard-nosed style while Savage was more flamboyant in his offense, and it seemed like neither man was going to give up any room for his opponent to take over the match. Valentine’s methodical approach eventually started to wear down the Macho Man, and Savage was on spaghetti legs late, though still not completely out of it. After reversing Savage’s clothesline attempt into a spinebuster, Valentine yelled real loud, and then took a little too much time in going for the Hammer Elbowdrop. Savage moved out of the way, and quickly made it to the top rope where he hit the Double Axehandle. He then did his patented finger circle, and went back up top, and flew through the air and hit the Flying Elbowdrop before covering Valentine to score the win.

WINNER: Macho Man Randy Savage at 14:17 (80)

- After the match, Savage went over and requested a microphone from Howard Finkel.

Macho Man - “Oooohhhh, the Macho Man isn’t very happy right now…..and it’s all because of ONE MAN! Mr. Perfect, Thanksgiving night at Survivor Series, YOU MADE A MISTAKE! Ya see, Mr. Perfect, you cost me my chance. You cost me my chance to prove that I deserved another shot at the World Wrestling Federation championship. But why, why did you do it Mr. Perfect? I’LL TELL YOU WHY! Because you were afraid of the Macho Man! You didn’t want someone else proving that they could be the one to stand above everyone else! You didn’t want someone to prove that THEY WERE BETTER THAN YOU! You walk around talking about how you’re perfect. Oooohhhh yeaahhhh you do. Well let me tell you somethin’…..Mr. Perfect, I can’t let you get away with costing me a match. We were suppose to be a team…..but it was clear from the very beginning that you and DiBiase‘s egos were so big that you almost didn‘t make it through the curtain! And neither of you were going to give that up. But now, Mr. Perfect, you’ve gotta give that ego up. Because if you don’t, it’s gonna cost you just like you cost me. That’s right, Mr. Perfect. I’M COMING FOR YA! OOOOHHHH YEAAAHHHHH!” (100)

GM - It sure sounds like the Macho Man still wants a piece of Mr. Perfect after Perfect essentially turned on him during the main event at Survivor Series!

BH - Oh Savage needs to stop whining. Mr. Perfect was simply trying to execute a double-team attack on Hogan, but Savage wanted him all to himself.

GM - Well, Brain, that was the intent of the match. To try and beat your opponent. And I think the fans realize that Savage has learned from his past ways and is only focused on winning matches inside the squared circle. That’s what everyone wants to see. They don’t wanna see people like DiBiase, Perfect, and the entire Heenan Family for that matter, cheating their way to victory!

BH - There you go again, Monsoon. Making ridiculous statements that you can’t back up. Just like you can’t back up anything you said about Rude. He won that match fair and square, and he’s your Intercontinental champion whether you like it or not.

GM - Would you stop incorporating ‘Ravishing’ Rick Rude into every conversation?

BH - Would you stop blaming legends like Perfect, DiBiase, and the entire Heenan Family for being great?

GM - Sometimes I don’t think even you believe what you’re saying. But there’s no doubt that the Macho Man and Mr. Perfect are going to do battle at some point, and I can’t wait for that one. Thanks for joining us everyone and remember to check out Superstars this Friday, which will feature the big tag team showdown between the Rockers and the Twin Towers! For my partner, Bobby ‘The Brain’ Heenan, I’m Gorilla Monsoon saying so long until next week.

Question: What do the 11 people who predicted this show and Mr. Perfect have in common?

Answer: PERFECTION!

That's right, gentlemen! Perfect from top to bottom for this show, as the matches weren't exactly WrestleMania classics. But as we know, Prime Time was rather predictable during this era, so this will happen sometimes. Anyways, Wrestling Challenge results and Superstars card will be up tomorrow.....along with some breaking news from Sean Mooney in the WWF Events Center!

WWF EVENTS CENTER

Hello ladies and gentlemen, I'm Sean Mooney. Let's get right to it, as we have some breaking news into the World Wrestling Federation Events Center!

Rumors have been swirling around the World Wrestling Federation offices that a certain superstar will be on hand Friday night on Superstars and will likely address his recent actions as well. That man? Jake 'The Snake' Roberts, who has certainly caught the eye of more than a few WWF fans in recent weeks after revealing that HE was the one that attacked the World Wrestling Federation champion, Hulk Hogan, in that parking lot a few months ago.

Given the recent pyshotic streak that Roberts has been on here in the WWF, who knows what to expect on Superstars where it looks like we will see The Snake for the first time since his post-match attack on the Hulkster on Thanksgiving night in Madison Square Garden.

We'll update you further on this story if any more information comes out.

From the offices of the World Wrestling Federation:

The Barbarian vs. Barry Horowitz

The Twin Towers vs. The Rockers

Mr. Perfect vs. Bob Backlund

- Plus, is there any truth to the rumor that Jake 'The Snake' Roberts will be on hand to address his actions at Survivor Series? Also, we'll hear from another tag team trying to fight their way into the top challengers role.....The Hart Foundation!

Let's see if the predictions perfection continues! Show should be up Wednesday or Thursday.

The Mighty Hercules and The Warlord vs. Hacksaw Jim Duggan and Brutus 'The Barber' Beefcake

Don´t know were this one is going but Brutus has been in lots of main event matches and even though he lost most of those he still have had more visible role than rest of the guys in this one.

The Barbarian vs. Barry Horowitz

Jobber

WINNERS ADVANCE TO SNME TOP CHALLENGERS MATCH

The Twin Towers vs. The Rockers

Could go either way and even draw is possible but considering that champs are faces I think that Brainbusters are the best option as contenters and then Rockers should win this one so that they can face Busters in the finals.

MAIN EVENT SINGLES MATCH

Mr. Perfect vs. Bob Backlund

Backlund is former champion and all but I still think that right now Perfect is too much for him.
