<p>Well I don’t know about you lot but I think that was a pretty good show. I actually put together match reports that were more than 6 words and everything (vaguely) made sense. Well done me!</p><p> </p><p> I’ve spent a looooong time on the Joss/Jeff vs Faust/Dunton feud and there are a couple of ways for it to go next. I hope you’re not too bored of it but it will certainly be evolving a bit. I’ve always thought Jeff needed an opponent and Dunton is just the obvious guy to do it. Especially as with Jeff as owner and Dunton willing to sign a long contract for peanuts it’s a storyline that can be the basis of a run to National…</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Zergon" data-cite="Zergon" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="32194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><p> Joss Thompson, Eddie Cornell & Jeff Nova vs. <strong>Jonathan Faust, Johansson & Steve Stoat</strong></p><p> Danny Francis vs. <strong>Pitbull Brown</strong> [i quit]</p><p> Business Jones vs <strong>Leo Price</strong>[Loser leaves 21CW]</p><p> <strong>Snaptime ©</strong> vs. ELIMINATION vs. Hot Stuff [Tag Titles]</p><p> Rolling Johnny Stones © vs. <strong>Adam Matravers</strong> vs. Grey Angel vs. Mr Blood [21CW UK Title]</p><p> <strong>Anarchy</strong> vs. Energy Punk vs. K’Lee Hawkins vs. Lionheart vs. War Machine vs. Wade Orson </p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> Jeff isn’t a regular wrestler but he’s pretty good so he’ll be doing a bit more. I’m not sure if not seeing Pitbull tapping is a good thing or not. If you don’t care about Biz Jones it’s my fault. I’m well aware I need to do much more with him.</p><p> Anyway – just 3/6 I’m afraid. Your worst showing for months!</p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Jingo" data-cite="Jingo" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="32194" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Just 2 off on the tag match damn i was close <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /><p> <strong>Joss Thompson, Eddie Cornell & Jeff Nova </strong>vs. Jonathan Faust, Johansson & Steve Stoat</p><p> Danny Francis vs. <strong>Pitbull Brown</strong> [i quit]</p><p> Business Jones vs <strong>Leo Price </strong>[Loser leaves 21CW]</p><p> <strong>Snaptime</strong> © vs. ELIMINATION vs. Hot Stuff [Tag Titles]</p><p> Rolling Johnny Stones © vs. <strong>Adam Matravers </strong>vs. Grey Angel vs. Mr Blood [21CW UK Title]</p><p> <strong>Anarchy</strong> vs. Energy Punk vs. K’Lee Hawkins vs. Lionheart vs. War Machine vs. Wade Orson [Anarchy Trophy]</p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> Glad you like Danny. Good. Matravers is awesome. He’s got a long list of stuff to do that should run for a while.</p><p> 4/6. </p><p> </p><p> So <strong>TheCelt</strong> is the only person to go perfect picking for the first time in a while. Well done sir and thanks for spending the time following what was going on (or just getting lucky!).</p><p> As always you have won the right to select any merchandise you fevered mind can conjure up for any member of the roster. </p><p> </p><p> Phew! That’s 6 months of 2010 complete and 21CW is almost unrecognisable from where we began. Certainly regularly scoring well above C grades is something I’m quite proud of.</p><p> As a way to celebrate the half-year point if anyone would like info or reportcards on any people or companies now’s the time to ask.</p><p> </p><p> Thanks for your time everyone!</p>

I liked the group too but they seemed a bit unfocused and ineffectual. Getting rid of Leo might refocus them... Or they might dall apart and reform. It depends on Kathleen's relationship with Dunton.</p><p> </p><p> Kev Jones for me is a massive weakness for the starting 21CW. He's not dominant and doesnt have anything obvious to do. He'll be going back to the business-man persona he originally had here. But obviously with a twist...</p>

Gah, when did this start up again??!

Shall be predicting, would be terrible of me not to support a writer I voted for for the Hall of Fame ;)

Wow! Thanks buddy

I'll take some Hot Stuff merch thank you very much; both could be main eventers one day with their skills :D

Absolutely sir. You shall have some later on today. Weirdly Jay is doing quite well. I think he autopusges to UM but Buff is down in the LM. I wish I knew why!

Lovely to see some old faces popping back up in here. And it’s really nice to hear nice comments too.

Ahead of the next show I’m putting together a brief summary to remind everyone what’s happened as well as provide a catch-up point for anyone who wants to read but finds the mass of 6 months’ worth of shows a bit intimidating.

Along with that I’m going to do a very brief awards section. I’d really like your help on three of these so if you would be generous enough to help please PM me your choice from the below:

Best character

Some of my characters are pretty c-verse canon. Some of them are much less so. I know which ones I like but obviously I’m biased. Who is your favourite character?

Adam Matravers
Red Bull swigging ‘extreme’ adrenaline junkie with burning ambition

Business Jones
Corporate thug with a chip on his shoulder

Danny Francis
Mean streets Brixton boy with an iron code

ELIMINATION
Bus-spotting idiots with the energy (and brainpower) of 10 toddlers

Grey Angel
Moralistic, religious spirit who’s quick to judge others

Pitbull Brown
The Man Who Never Gives Up. Obsessed with proving toughness

Best storyline

Similarly I’ve really enjoyed some arcs (and still am) but some have fallen flatter than I intended. Which of these was/is your favourite?

Jeff Nova vs Dunton Hall
Two icons are fighting for control of 21CW.

Joss vs Faust
The two biggest names in the UK have fought for the World title

Wicked tag tournament
16 teams battled it out for the tag titles in gimmick matches. 16!

Matravers for the gold
Adam Matravers has vowed to win every title in 21CW. Assisted by Red Bull.

The descent of Pitbull Brown
Pitbull turned from true ally to masochistic obsessive.

And finally I like to think my PPVs stand out because of how different they look to TV shows.

Which of these were your favourite?

World War

War Drums

To confirm - if you're interested in voting please PM me your choices.

I'll give a randomly selected voter a chance to pick a stipulation at the next PPV - London Calling

Thanks in advance everyone!

<em>Tough one but Jones got a big win over Price and I assume that it will carry him here.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Danny Francis & ??? vs. <strong>Hot Stuff</strong></p><p>

<em>Another hard one. Mystery man is always good choice and Francis seems to be doing quite well too but Hot Stuff are former tag champs and still one of the best tag teams you have so I go with them over random pairing.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Adam Matravers</strong> vs. Igor Ivanoff</p><p>

<em>Adam is singles guy who is hunting titles while Igor is tag guy who isn´t even in tag title race currently.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Pride</strong> vs. The Strange Quarks</p><p>

<em>UK Dragon is the top guy here so I go with him.</em></p><p> </p><p>

Anarchy vs. <strong>Mr Blood</strong></p><p>

<em>Seems to be non-title (or non-trophy?) so I go with Blood this time around.</em></p><p> </p><p>

<p><strong>2010 – H1 review</strong></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Best worker </strong></p><p> </p><p>

It just has to be Joss Thompson.</p><p> </p><p>

The American has lost 4 matches this year (Faust and Business Jones have lost less) but managed to win 14. In those matches he’s averaged a whopping 74. For 21CW that’s huge even before you take into account his regular A-A* promos that boost everyone else. </p><p> </p><p>

The only black mark on joss is his best matches haven’t all been earth-shattering. He’s had very solid singles matches with Pitbull, Faust Leo Price and Stoat but no really definitive ones yet. Maybe he’ll find some chemistry with someone soon.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Best match </strong></p><p> </p><p>

Eddie Cornell & Business Jones bt. Leo Price & Steve Stoat</p><p>

B+ 87</p><p> </p><p>

At Partners In Crime – May</p><p> </p><p>

A slightly strange result. This match wasn’t even the main event on that card (Faust beat Joss for the World title in that). The PIC match was a chain-match. All 4 competitors were chainced together with the team that touched all four corners first the winner. The newly turned Business Jones was the wildcard but he came good and helped Cornell come out on top. This loss was probably the start of the slide that eventually led to Leo Price leaving the company.</p><p> </p><p>

Our only B+ match of the year – this bout deserves the win.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Best card</strong></p><p> </p><p>

</p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">Head to Head – March 2010</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

B+ 87</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Eddie Cornell drew with Leo Price</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Rolling Johnny Stones def. DJ Reason for the UK title</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Business Jones def. Danny Francis</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Pitbull brown def. Johansson</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Joss Thompson def. Steve Stoat for the World title</div><p></p><p> </p><p>

No real standout matches here but as always at H2H straight man-to-man confrontations. None of the matches were even that great, but the angles really helped pull the event up as they featured basically only big names.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Best tag-team</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Snaptime (Merle O’Curle & Nigel Svensson)</p><p> </p><p>

Snaptime are a brand new team and struggled early on before rallying to win the tag titles (which they currently hold).</p><p> </p><p>

An outstanding record of 15 wins is 6 more than any other team have managed this year even if they have also lost 8 matches. Their average rating of just 49 isn’t great but they have managed to produce a 76 as well. </p><p> </p><p>

Their experience is still quite low so I’m expecting great things in the future from them.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Best mid-carder</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Luke Cool.</p><p> </p><p>

Luke hasn’t had a huge amount to do apart from back up Rolling Johnny Stones but he’s excelled at his secondary role.</p><p> </p><p>

He has just 4 wins to 12 losses but his average rating of 55 is excellent and he can always be relied upon. He might be given more in the 2nd half of the year.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Best developer</strong></p><p> </p><p>

He hasn’t appeared much on TV but Pierre Beaujolais has come on leaps and bounds. When he joined 21CW he was a gimmicky attraction but he is now one of the company’s finest prospects. As a quick summary:</p><p>

</p><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">Brawling +22</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Chain +16</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Mat +18</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Aerial +18</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Flashiness +20</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Stamina +10</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Power +16</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Mic +7</div><p></p><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Psychology +20</div><p></p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Best character</strong></p><p> </p><p>

I had votes for Pitbull brown, Adam Matravers and Danny Francis but the somewhat surprising winner is:</p><p> </p><p>

Grey Angel!</p><p> </p><p>

When I started the game I was so underwhelmed with Harry Wilson I almost sacked him. He starts the game wearing a belt but he’s not great in the ring and he’s a bad influence backstage. Fortunately I spotted him on my hot prospects list and after a little bit of development time he’s a solid worker even if he is still a bit of an arse.</p><p> </p><p>

Grey Angel of course is very religious and wants to snuff out sin in others. And he’s more than willing to attack anyone over that issue. The hypocrisy and high-handedness is on purpose. I see him as a face who’s quite difficult to like.</p><p> </p><p>

Anyway – I’m glad some people are enjoying him!</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Best storyline</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Jeff Nova vs Dunton hall got a couple of votes but the winner here is:</p><p>

The Wicked tag tournament. </p><p> </p><p>

As is very obvious I love tag teams. They’re far more fun to book for me and I love to make new ones out of existing workers. The tournament was basically an excuse to devote a whole PPV to tag-teams. That meant that the results I got were very underwhelming for both nights but the whole random stipulation mechanic made it exciting. Add to that the sheer scale of a 16-team tournament and it seems to have resonated with some of you.</p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Best event art</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Personally I thought War Drums was the best-looking event but the fans disagree with over half of you voting for Steel Cage Challenge. It’s a cool event so I’m glad you thought it looked the part.</p><p> </p><p>

Thanks very much for your input chaps – I really appreciate all of you that took the time to help.</p><p> </p><p>

The randomly selected voter who will get a prize is… Jack Hood! I’ve PMed you about it.</p><p> </p><p>

The next edition of BoBW will be up in the next day or two.</p>

Dunton Hall opens tonight’s show in the ring accompanied by World Champ Jonathan Faust and the hulking Johansson.

The current boss reassures the fans that all is still well in the company and 21CW is still heading towards being a “synergistic enterprise of innovation and incentivisation”.

The crowd seem noticeably unhappy but are gratified when Jeff Nova heads to ringside!

http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/5531/jeffnova.jpg

Jeff puts Dunton down embarrassingly as he recaps his huge win in the ring over Faust a matter of days ago and promises that now he’s back he’s going to take the company back and get it back to where it should be: the best wrestling promotion in Britain.

Adam Matravers vs. Igor Ivanoff

This match looks an easy one on paper but Matravers seems off his game tonight. He doesn’t have the energy he normally does and the much more powerful Igor actually manages to manhandle ‘Mile High’.

Phoebe Plumridge is of course in Adam’s corner and offers him a can of Red Bull to pep him up. Adam swigs from it but as soon as he does the lights go off. When they come back on Grey Angel is standing on a turnbuckle and simply points at Matravers.

http://img195.imageshack.us/img195/416/harrywilsonjhd2.jpg

The lights flick back off and on again and Angel has disappeared again.

Matravers throws the can away and enters the match again with renewed energy managing to hit his signature move on Igor for the win.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Adam Matravers defeated Igor Ivanoff in 7:36 by pinfall with a Mile High Moonsault. During the match we also had Grey Angel distract Matravers.

Kathleen Lee appears on the big screen in her glamorous, modern gym facility. Working out hard behind her are Steve Stoat, Merle O’Curle and Nigel Svensson.

Kathleen is unrepentant after her interference/treachery resulted in Leo Price being sacked from the company. She tells everyone that the group is now refocused and more intense than ever and they’ll be shaping their own destiny from here on rather than working for anyone.

http://img593.imageshack.us/img593/205/darrenwhiteanarchist.jpghttp://img412.imageshack.us/img412/438/menace1.jpg

Anarchy heads to ringside with his Wildcard partner Menace.

The masked Belgian waves his trophy around and crows about how his chaotic victory over 5 other wrestlers at War Drums proves that his philosophy is effective.

Unfortunately he’s interrupted by a sudden billow of grey smoke that Mr Blood emerges from.

http://img267.imageshack.us/img267/6803/ripperlestatalt3.jpg

Mr Blood tells Anarchy that he’s just a child playing with forces he doesn’t understand and that only his own personal creed can possibly triumph. Which is why they need to fight right now.

This is a pretty quick and dirty match. The two men give as good as they get but before one man can get an advantage we see more interference:

http://img41.imageshack.us/img41/8531/warmachinealt.jpghttp://img200.imageshack.us/img200/2203/nightmarey.jpg

War Machine and Mr Nightmare both head to the ring at the same time. Machine who has been attacking Anarchy and Nightmare who belongs to Mr Blood.

The two big men slow and eye each other warily and Mr Blood takes advantage of the confusion to roll Anarchy up for a cheap win.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Mr Blood defeated Anarchy in 7:27 by pinfall. During the match we also saw War Machine run in and attack Anarchy, and Mr. Nightmare also attack Anarchy.

ELIMINATION (GENOCIDE & SUICIDE) appear in a short film on the big screen. As is customary they’re riding upstairs on a double decker bus and seem to be having an amazing time – roaring in excitement.

Amongst the squeals and fist-pumping they manage to threaten current tag champs Snaptime and claim that of they had a fair fight they would definitely take the titles.

Another of 21CW’s more intense teams gets a chance to speak to the fans as The Strange Quarks (Energy Punk & Power Beast) head to ringside.

Energy Punk grabs a mic and tells everyone that they’re ready to come out of the shadows in 21CW and attack the disgusting society that left them to survive off radioactive rubbish in the shadow of Sellafield. In fact, Punk claims to have a plan about how they’re going to force people to see them.

Unfortunately they’re interrupted by the Zen team of Pride (Dragon & Lionheart) who tell the Quarks that men can’t define themselves by how they’re treated. They need to create their own greatness.

This leads to a scuffle and the bell is rung for a match.

Four men in the ring and you can’t really see anyone’s face.

This is a pretty good match and all four men come out of looking impressive. It’s so tight that in the end all four men brawl outside of the ring and the ref is forced to ring the bell for the double count-out.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action and average heat, Pride drew with The Strange Quarks in 10:09 following a double count out.

http://img705.imageshack.us/img705/5573/danielfrancis.jpg

Danny Francis is in the ring. He is unequivocal in his support for Jeff Nova coming back to 21CW. Danny refers to his match with Pitbull Brown at War Drums. He is open about losing to a man who was better on the night but angry that a string of attacks led to the match in the first place. Danny says he’s voiced his concerns to Dunton hall but hall only laughed and told Danny he’d be facing Hot Stuff tonight.

Fortunately, says Danny, there are other people willing to stand up to Dunton Hall and so he’s recruited a partner for the match:

http://img853.imageshack.us/img853/7231/jossthompson.jpg

Joss Thompson.

Danny Francis & Joss Thompson vs. Hot Stuff

Hot Stuff may have lost their titles but they’re still a very slick team who know exactly how to win tag matches. Their great teamwork means they can go blow for blow with two men who are more impressive singles competitors as Danny and Joss have no real chemistry.

The match goes back and forth with plenty of near misses but is eventually settled when Joss manages to hit his feared finishing move – the Clean Cutter on Buff Martinez.

In a match that had some good action and a good crowd, Danny Francis and Joss Thompson defeated Hot Stuff in 15:39 when Joss Thompson defeated Buff Martinez by pinfall with a Clean Cutter. During the match we also had Pit Bull Brown distract Thompson.

http://img827.imageshack.us/img827/5531/jeffnova.jpg

A dressing room backstage. Jeff Nova is alone inside lifting enormous weights. The big man looks like he’s seriously back to his best and really concentrating on being a success in-ring.

The door opens and someone comes inside. Jeff hustles to his feet and confronts the newcomer who proves to be the suited-and-booted Business Jones.

The two large men go toe-to-toe but Business breaks the silence by saying that he may not have been in the past but he now fully supports Jeff taking the company back and he’ll help in any way he can with the boardroom struggle. Not many people know it but Jones actually has a degree in law to go with his corporate success.

Jeff says he’ll take any help he can get and the men shake hands.

Just then Dunton Hall enters the room.

http://img88.imageshack.us/img88/1961/duntonhallalt.jpg

He says he’s touched to see two old relics bury their differences but he’s still the boss around here. And Business needs to go – he’s been given a match with the dangerous Rolling Johnny Stones.

Business Jones does something new here as he actually keeps his suit on in the ring for the first time. A man of that size is somehow made even more intimidating that way but Stones is the UK Champion in 21CW and is riding his own wave of momentum after his big win at War Drums.

Stones is the much sneakier competitor and at one point uses Jones’ tie to pull him into a huge DDT/Suplex combination.

It’s testament to Business’ new determination though that he manages to ride it out and get back into the match and the Boardroom Bruiser manages to give as good as he gets with a huge belly-to-belly that all but flattens Stones allowing a solid 3-count in the centre of the ring.

In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, Business Jones defeated Rolling Johnny Stones in 20:56 by pinfall with a Belly To Belly Suplex.

After the match there is one final segment shown on the big screen. The camera shows a prone body groaning on the floor. As it zooms in we see it’s the Lancastrian Eddie Cornell. And lying on his chest is a square white card reading simply:

“The Guild”.

I probably should have left that one a bit but I wanted to get as much out as possible before the new job kicks in...

Turns out Hot Stuff are really good. Them getting a B (albeit with joss in the match) has made me slightly rethink my plans in the tag division. If I'd had faith in them they would have been the ME.

Business didnt do badly of course and RJS can normally come up good but it was still slightly disappointing for them to get a C+.

Business Jones vs Rolling Johnny Stones

Tough one but Jones got a big win over Price and I assume that it will carry him here.

Danny Francis & ??? vs. Hot Stuff

Another hard one. Mystery man is always good choice and Francis seems to be doing quite well too but Hot Stuff are former tag champs and still one of the best tag teams you have so I go with them over random pairing.

Adam Matravers vs. Igor Ivanoff

Adam is singles guy who is hunting titles while Igor is tag guy who isn´t even in tag title race currently.

Pride vs. The Strange Quarks

UK Dragon is the top guy here so I go with him.

Anarchy vs. Mr Blood

Seems to be non-title (or non-trophy?) so I go with Blood this time around.

BONUS: Who gets attacked backstage by a mystery tag-team?

Joss Thompson

3/6. The ?? man was Joss of course. I thought if I announced that it would be too easy to predict.

4/6 Jingo. you am de best at the moment.

As winner Jingo you can pick anything you'd like. So long as it's not that stupid Walrusman you found. He very much belongs in SAW and not 21CW. I would never use a stupid mask.

Lots of ELIM gear when I lookback through the files. They could probably open their own shop by now.

For the ELIMINATION fan that's also a member of the drinking classes here's the ELIMINATION pint glass. It's tinted on the outside so your drink looks like GENOCIDE or SUICIDE.

Sweet.

QUICK PICKS

Joss Thompson & Business Jones vs. Jonathan Faust & Pitbull Brown

[Has Dunton Hall got something on Business Jones? I think Jones lets his partner down at key moment]

Eddie Cornell vs. Merle O’Curle

[Merle is just too damn reliable]

Dragon vs. Steve Stoat

Geordie Nation vs. The Strange Quarks

Mr Blood vs. Wade Orson

[My head says Mr Blood but Wade is such a consistent worker for me, I will go with my heart and he somehow pulls an upset. Perhaps he is the reverend Wade and kicks A** for the lord?]

ELIMINATION vs. La Revolution

[Elimination being pushed for shot at title, La Revolution are the jobber's jobbers]

Joss Thompson & Business Jones vs. Jonathan Faust & Pitbull Brown

Tough one that could go either way but since Faust got the title off from Thompson I would give this one to Joss as a feel good win.

Eddie Cornell vs. Merle O’Curle

O’Curle can take a singles loss to one of your top faces without getting hurt in progress.

Dragon vs. Steve Stoat

Stoat is singles guy and higher on ladders too.

Geordie Nation vs. The Strange Quarks

Quarks got some promo time in last show and draw with Pride and that´s more than Geordie Nation has been getting lately so I´d say that Quarks win this one.

Mr Blood vs. Wade Orson

Doing more.

ELIMINATION vs. La Revolution

Pierre might be your best developed prospect but I still don´t see Revolution going over ELIMINATION without any build-up.
