The next BoBW was supposed to go up today but I've left my notes behind. Drat. Suffice to say that it features one of Canada's most popular exports on loan and was a wholly underwhelming show.

 

Steve Stoat has long frustrated me by performing better than I want him to so I find some degree of satisfaction that I gave him a 1v1 ME and it fell flat. Show to go up tomorrow with hopefully another this week to get us closer to October's PPV Halloween Horrorshow. Which should be great

Joss Thompson addresses the crowd saying how upset he still is after Eddie Cornell took the pin at Dangerous Alliances. Joss always thought that he’s the clear favourite to win the 21CW World Title back from Pitbull brown so he should be getting the opportunities.

However Joss is excited about his challenge tonight and the chance to go toe-to-toe with one of the Stone siblings. They’re not huge over here but Joss is clear that back in N America anyone with that surname is known as a serious competitor. Edd is the black sheep of the family but even so he’s a major name in world wrestling.

Eddie Cornell talks for the first time since winning his first title shot against Pitbull brown.

Eddie says that he’s a man of honour and won’t be using his shot unfairly. He also addresses Joss’ reaction. Eddie is well aware that Joss is a great wrestler but he still feels that he’s just as good himself and that he deserves to step out of Joss’ shadow into the limelight himself for once.

The fans have just seen a Stone wrestle in 21CW but Eddie reminds everyone that one of the few bigger names in the business is Cornell.

Hot Stuff cut a promo wearing some new outfits – each man is wearing a dark mask and a leather cap.

They again latch onto the prejudice theme and claim they’ve been racially discriminated against which is why Pride in particular have been dodging them.

At that surprisingly Dragon and Lionheart appear and dispute this – they claim that theyre so zen they love everyone regardless of colour and will gladly prove it by giving them a title shot right now.

Always special to see a top tag match in 21CW. This is shaping up to be a great one with Hot Stuff looking rededicated and strong. So strong indeed that ELIMINATION and Snaptime both storm the ring looking to get the match voided. The ref agrees and throws it out.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Hot Stuff drew with Pride in 9:59 when the referee lost control and stopped the match. The match also had a lot of interference: Merle O'Curle targeted Martinez, Nigel Svensson attacked Dragon, GENOCIDE attacked Jay B, and finally SUICIDE interfered against Lionheart.

Joss Thompson heads to the ring mic in hand. The American apologises to Eddie Cornell that there’s been some tension between them and says he never knew how marginalised Eddie felt. Joss promises to be more thoughtful in future and says no one will cheer harder for Eddie than him.

In the meantime Joss says he won’t stop going for the title himself and has a match lined up tonight to show how good he still is – against Luke Cool. To prove Joss can back it up it’s going to be a Last Man Standing match – the only way to win is to force a failed 10-count for the opponent.

Angel got a win over Punk but so logically he should be able to beat Beast too but then again if this will be more than a random match then Beast could use the win in order to further a possible feud between Angel and Quarks. I go with Beast here.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Grey Angel defeated Power Beast in 8:23 by pinfall with a Full Metal Jacket. During the match we also had Energy Punk accidentally hit Power Beast.

Jeff finally gets his moment in the ring and does a rundown of what’s going on at the top of the card in 21CW right now.

Pitbull is holding the belt but there are lots of challengers. Joss Thompson is regarded as one of the most skilled wrestlers the UK has ever seen. Eddie Cornell holds a titleshot anytime anywhere after pinning Pitbull at Dangerous Alliances. Jonathan Faust has held the belt recently and wants it back for glory as well as profit. Danny Francis seems like he’s on the verge of beating real stars in the company. And who knows what Business Jones thinks or does?

We’ll find out tonight in a huge main event of Faust and Pitbull vs Eddie and Business.

In a superb bout that had great wrestling and a sizzling crowd, Eddie Cornell and Business Jones drew with Jonathan Faust and Pit Bull Brown in 16:46 following a double disqualification.

Sorry about the lack of match detail. Its the thing that most slows me down and Im guessing noone really reads my hamfisted summaries anyway.

 

Good show I thought. A few storylines got more set up / moved along and there was plenty of facetime for a few folks whove been offscreen a while.

 

Id like the Lords to have done better though. Bringing in a few loans to spice the month up is a good idea in practise but not in game-terms. Thats one of the problems in the UK I guess. Hope its a bit better in the new version of the game.

Ivan has never looked so good as he brings the power here. Matravers knows exactly how to work with a bigger man and the match is a very nice opener before the Mile High Moonsault again shows just how good Adam is.

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Adam Matravers defeated Ivan Ivanoff in 9:32 by pinfall with a Mile High Moonsault.

This match is a major letdown really. We haven’t seen War Machiones little brother Joe for a while and the crowd aren’t so pleased to see him here. War Machine is mostly kept out of the match with surprisingly canny/clever tag work by ELIMINATION before they isolate Joe and hit the ELIMINATOR.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, ELIMINATION defeated Machine Brothers in 5:31 when SUICIDE defeated Joe Machine by pinfall with an ELIMINATOR.

As the screen cuts Mr Blood makes his entrance. It couldn’t possibly have been him that attacked Grey Angel.

In a match that over delivers Blood shows how strong he is breaking a few very choice holds from the technical bin man veteran before hitting a low blow that sends Morris gasping to the canvas.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Mr Blood defeated Geordie Jimmy Morris in 7:01 by pinfall.

Jeff Nova is in his office on the big screen. The Scot hero announces that especially for Halloween he’s putting his career on the line in a hardcore rules match. He’ll be taking on someone who isn’t that well known in the UK but is one of the bloodiest savages in the world. If Jeff loses this match it will be his last time in the ring. Not because he’ll give up but because only one man will be coming out of this match able to walk.

The Guild have really improved and manage to look like real contenders in this match with one of the more able teams in 21CW. Unfortunately it’s never enough and Dragon shows how much he was missed on his Japanese sojourn with a very convincing Dragon Drop to win the match.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Pride defeated The Assassins' Guild in 8:03 when Dragon defeated Snake by pinfall with a Dragon Drop.

Hot Stuff head to the ring after the match again complaining bitterly that they’re being discriminated against as an ethnic minority team. Jay B gets right in Dragon’s face and demands a title match. No gimmicks. No other teams just a fair match to see who’s the best.

Dragon and Lionheart assert they’ll honour anyone with a fair match and agree to face Hot Stuff once Halloween Horrorshow is out of the way.

Eddie Cornell vs Merle O’Curle

Brilliant stuff here as both men look really dangerous and slick. Merle has always been a master but Eddie is of course a late-flowering wrestler. Its a joy to watch them here as the match goes back and forth with many near falls.

Merle’s manageress Kathleen Lee makes to enter the match several times but Merle waves her away. The Irishman is as respectful of a good opponent as anyone.

Towards the end of the match Pitbull comes to ringside – he’s very aware Eddie can cash in his title-shot whenever he wants. Far from being put off Eddie sees this as a cue to redouble his efforts and Tough Luck manages to hit his feared Black Lightning Bomb for the win.

In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, Eddie Cornell defeated Merle O'Curle in 14:17 by pinfall with a Black Lightning Bomb. During the match we also saw Pit Bull Brown distract Cornell.

After the match Pitbull applauds Eddie’s display and enters the ring to congratulate the Cornell.

At least that’s how it looked before Pitbull punches Eddie in the stomach and then hoists him into a Doghouse Piledriver leaving Eddie crumpled on the canvas.

In tonight’s main event two old foes go one-on-one in a display of technical ability even better than the last match.

This time Kathleen does get involved early and often and Joss is visibly frustrated. At one point he even appears he will lash out at the woman before just restraining himself.

The match slows right down with both men looking for a tiny advantage but Joss is always saving something and mages to reverse out of a full nelson and deliver the feared Clean Cutter to win the bout.

In a match that had excellent in-ring action and great heat from the audience, Joss Thompson defeated Steve Stoat in 15:45 by pinfall with a Clean Cutter.

After the match Joss’ old nemesis Jonathan Faust appears with his manger (and ex-21CW supremo) Dunton Hall.

Faust and Dunton remind Joss that the American has only ever been tolerated and that they’re looking for another chance to get him out of the company and seize 21CW back again.

Jeff Nova introduces tonights show from a huge set thats as intricate as it is unusual. The racecourse’s huge events hall has been totally built up to look like a haunted house set amidst a graveyard. Dark windows gape, ravens caw and fog swirls through twisted, mangled tree roots. Proper spooky stuff.

 

“You join me here tonight on the night of the year 21CW opens it’s door to the horrors that lurk within. Normally we’re a family company devoted to bringing you entertainment and excitement but tonight we’re firmly in this together. Tonight the ghouls are coming and just a few heroes stand between you and all that’s good in the world.

“I haven’t personally been this scared since ‘Ghostwatch’ as we open the doors to things which should remain unknown by the likes of us. Our only hope is that the finest heroes in the country can vanquish those terrible evils in this very ring.

“First up tonight the all-American hero Joss Thompson – the closest thing I’ve ever had to a son – is fighting for you against a denizen of the night. A foul zombie.

“Ladies and gentlemen you have been warned. Whether you’re here in the building with me or simply at home your soul is in mortal danger tonight. Cross your fingers and take a deep breath as we bring you the 21CW Halloween Horrorshow!”

Pretty decent stuff here as the Zombie Cop shows much more of a rabid, scuttling zombie than a shuffling one. It’s pretty intimidating and a little unsettling as Joss clearly seems worried about the match.

Fortunately Zombie Cop makes a typical undead mistake and slips whilst lunging for Joss’ unprotected throat allowing Joss to set up the Clean Cutter – it turns out it definitely does work on unfeeling, undead monsters.

 

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Joss Thompson defeated Keith "ZombieCop" Adams in 14:34 by pinfall with a Clean Cutter.

A video plays after the match. Notably religious crusader grey Angel is alone in a darkened forest. He stumbles through branches that whip against his face and tear his clothing clearly in a panic.

Angel can be heard muttering the Lord’s prayer under his breath as he races faster and faster through eerie shapes.

Shortly he bursts into a clearing and stops sharp. A figure moves in front of him (back to us so we can’t see his face) and Grey Angel shakingly exclaims:

 

“Blood Raven!”

Oh – this is a ladder match. Did you not hear? For mistletoe obviously...

This is a hugely enjoyable match as the two smaller, athletic men use all of the ring and a decent amount of the surrounding graveyard in a high-energy match that shows off Canadian, Japanese and Mexican influences.

It cant last forever though and the Angel manages to draw on his amazing will to clamber up the ladder to retrieve the spring of mistletoe.

 

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Grey Angel defeated Blood Raven in a Ladder match in 6:50 when Grey Angel retrieved the item.

Another video. This time Pride (Dragon & Lionheart) the current 21CW tag champs are kneeling in a paper-walled Bhuddist shrine.

“Fans and fellow warriors – join us in sanctuary. As we steel our minds against the chaos of fear and uncertainty we are protected in the quiet temple of ourselves. Where we are now nothing can...”

Dragon is cut off abruptly as two big shapes burst through the papered wall shuffling slowly but with evident power and purpose. The figures resolves to be covered in bandages – a pair of ancient, evil mummys!

Pride are ever-reliable and technically excellent whilst the Mummys are not particularly terrifying or fast following the last match. Still – they appear to feel no pain at all rendering the holds and locks that pride rely on mostly useless.

They’re not resistant to good old fashioned slams though and a well-take Dragon Drop puts one Mummy down just long enough for the ref to count to three.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Pride defeated The Mummys in 13:19 when Dragon defeated Mummy #1 by pinfall with a Dragon Drop.

Another video plays. A car on a country lane slows to a halt – clearly our of petrol two figures emerge from it into the fog of night. It’s Adam Matravers and Phoebe Plumridge.

“I can’t believe you let us run out of petrol tonight. Where the hell are we anyway?”

“Relax – it’s not a problem. We can just sit tight here and hike to the nearest village for more fuel in the morning.”

Phoebe

“Nothing to worry about? No one knows we’re here. Hell not even we know where we are. I’m scared Adam.”

 

Adam

“Relax Phoebe. You’re safe here with me. I promise.”

Unfortunately at that moment Adam is rather shockingly proved wrong as the whole car flips over revealing a huge man in tattered clothes and facepaint roaring in rage. It’s the monstrous Mr Nightmare!

Adam puts on another great show here as he’s clearly fighting for Phoebe’s safety as well as himself. Mr Nightmare seems much improved athletically since we last saw him in a 21CW ring and genuinely seems to be a threat against the smaller man (but much bigger star).

Unfortunately for him (it?) Mr Nightmare is too distracted by the lovely Phoebe allowing Matravers to hit his Mile High Moonsault as the monster’s back is turned.

This is one of the bloodiest brawls have ever seen. Afficionadoes of WEXXV would appreciate this match. Jeff and Benrubi literally tear pieces out of each other in their desperate excesses and the match is mercifully short as Jeff, bleeding from countless wounds inflicted by barbed wire and a Stanley knife locks in the World’s Strongest Bearhug forcing Benrubi to submit.

Another video plays. Danny Francis is in a locker-room sprinkling what appears to be salt in a circle around himself – a typical voodoo ward from his Caribbean roots.

Danny mutters in some kind of pidgin French whilst he prepares his sanctuary but suddenly the lights go out.

Without coming back on we hear a booming laughter and a loud voice saying:

“Your puny superstitions are no defence against me Daniel. I am your past come to haunt you. I am your family curse come to take what I am owed. I am your very death itself.

Danny is now a bona fide star in 21CW and the crowd are firmly behind him as he takes on the mystery man who bears a strong resemblance to a certain 21CW worker who’s been off TV for a while.

Danny’s trademark is very much about a combination of power and control and The Skull just blows that open with his own chaotic approach to going for Danny’s weak points.

Danny is no mug though and simply fights fire with fire as he unleashes a cynical determination we haven’t seen from him before before hitting a huge brainbuster for the win.

In a bout that had great heat and great wrestling action, Danny Francis defeated Luke Skull in 20:14 when Luke Skull by pinfall.

Given the excellence of some of the night’s other matches this might not have been the main event but it was still a thrilling encounter as the crowd were just desperate for Eddie to beat the blood-sucking baddie.

Mr Blood has quietly managed to avoid a lot of big names in 21CW but he showed here he’s got nothing to fear from them as his impressive strength (he’s not huge by he’s physical) meant Eddie struggled to use his great technique and determination to avoid high-impact moves.

Mr Blood came super-close after a big Piledriver but after a late count Eddie began a long comeback that had the crowd’s hearts in their mouths and finished it by slamming Mr Blood into the casket by ringside. Oh yeah – this was a casket match...

In a bout that featured great action and great heat from the audience, Eddie Cornell defeated Mr Blood in a Casket match in 25:16 when Mr Blood was trapped.

Thanks gents. Bit of a strange show (faces win!) but I saw it as a bit of a special event to try and get some non-normal fans in.

 

Only two PPVs left now so I'm going to be trying to get through weekly shows even quicker than recently so I can finish this with the big blowoff before TEW 2013 comes out (and I get sucked into my mod/expansion...)

• Joss Thompson seemed annoyed at Eddie’s good fortunes but they’ve reaffirmed their friendship.

• Hot Stuff in their new racially aggravated persona have demanded a title-match against Pride. Pride said they will grant it soon.

• Adam Matravers is demanding he be treated as a top star. But not getting given the top matches.

• Mr Blood holds the UK Title. Grey Angel appears to be in a personal hell over this.

• Sewer Croc is the Anarchy Trophy holder. For now...

Menace looks powerful and Anarchy lively but the ultra-slick, vicious teamwork of Snaptime is just too sleek for the still-inexperienced duo and Nigel seals the win over the small masked man with his feared trademark submission hold.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Snaptime defeated Wildcards in 12:44 when Nigel Svensson defeated Anarchy by submission with a Hyper Extension Arm Lock.

In truth the fans don’t really care much about the Snowman apart from how scary he looks and this is a bit of a procession for fan-favourite and London local Danny.

In a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Danny Francis defeated The Snowman in 7:39 by submission with a Rasta Lock.

Not a bad debut for the daring Dutch team here but against a fired-up Hot Stuff they were really going to need an exceptional performance to get anything here.

They gave it a damn good go with some audacious leaps but after a missed swanton bomb Buff leaps on the opportunity to snatch the win.

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Hot Stuff defeated Double Dutch in 9:55 when Buff Martinez defeated Frank De Pain by pinfall with a Heat Seeker.

Pride (Dragon & Lionheart) appear in the ring and tell both challenging tag teams that as honourable zen warriors they will never back down from a fight and everyone will get their turn. In fact they will be taking on Hot Stuff next week live on BoBW.

But tonight Dragon has been called on to demonstrate his skills as a solo contender – against the up-and-coming Predator of the Assassin’s Guild.

Predator is actually a pretty big guy in his own right and certainly has the physical edge over Dragon. It’s a mark of how far he’s progressed this year that it’s a match at all and actually a pretty good one.

However Dragon is not the international star he is for no reason and his patient, calm approach pays dividends when Predator’s partner Snake attempts to influence things only to accidentally hit a clothesline on Predator allowing Dragon to take an easy win.

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Dragon defeated Predator in 10:13 by pinfall with a Dragon Drop following botched interference by Snake.

21CW World Champion Pitbull Brown heads to the ring. He’s annoyed that he didn’t get to fight for his title last month as he loves to prove how dominant he is. Pitbull knows that Eddie will be coming for his title shot soon and can’t wait for the opportunity to humble a Cornell right here in 21CW.

In the meantime he’s in the mood to prove a point and will take on any man on the roster right now.

After a pause a very unlikely figure enters the arena for the challenge – the rookie masked man Sewer Croc!

Who would have thought these two men could go up against each other in a serious match? Croc clearly did and makes a great fist of this by maximising his one advantage – Sewer Croc is clearly one of the better pure athletes in 21CW (Wade Orson, Anarchy and even War Machine are all great too).

Pitbull is a master at what he does but just doesn’t seem to have the speed to keep up with the Underworld Warrior and Sewer Croc gives him a massive fright before his overconfidence leaves him exposed and Pitbull takes the win after a minute of pure impact, physical slams.

In a bout that had great heat and great wrestling action, Pit Bull Brown defeated Sewer Crocodile in 15:06 by pinfall with a Dog House Piledriver.

Both of them are swigging Red Bull and making ‘Extreme’ signals to the adoring teenagers in the audience.

Phoebe takes a mic and demands again that Adam be treated as the star he is after his amazing victory over the terrible zombie Mr Nightmare at Halloween Horrorshow.

Adam is in the form of his life and should be wrestling the likes of Faust, Stoat and even Pitbull every week in the main event.

Jeff appears and says he’s got a special surprise in store for Adam that he’s going to like. And in the meantime he’s set for a huge match tonight in the main event against on the big names at 21CW – the rapidly rising Energy Punk!

Energy Punk is primarily a tag guy of course but shouldn’t be underestimated. He’s been around a while in 21CW (under various identities) and is a very streetwise fighter. He proves it here with a long list of pinches, hair pulls and eye-gouges as Adam gets increasingly frustrated with not being able to unleash his high-risk, high-impact offence.

The match veers wildly to and fro as both men hit some decent moves but in a game of ‘top this’ there is only going to be one winner and he proves it with his trademark move as Matravers again unleashes the Mile-High Moonsault. Surely it’s now one of the very best pure high-impact moves in 21CW?

In a bout that had great heat and great wrestling action, Adam Matravers defeated Energy Punk in 14:57 by pinfall with a Mile High Moonsault.

Sewer Croc cuts a promo saying how proud he is that he’s thrown the ignorance, stupidity and arrogance of London back in it’s face by winning the Anarchy Trophy. His very existence is a slap in the face for all those comfortable families who happily flush their filth down into the city below.

Croc also reveals that he’s happy to prove how good he is and is defending the trophy ina triple-threat match against Menace and Wade Orson.

Eddie Cornell heads to the ring. We haven’t really heard from him since last month but Eddie takes the time to announce that he’s not a cheater or a wriggler. Plenty of wrestlers would sell their own ma for personal gain but Tough Luck is the sort of guy to let anyone he has a problem with know all about it.

So he’s not going to cash in his titleshot when Pitbull is tired or broken. He’s going to be loud and proud about it. This month at Online Onslaught Eddie Cornell is hereby announcing that he’ll be going after Pitbull Brown’s World Title.

Oh well - Nov is ticking along and we've got our first big match announced for Online Onslaught in Eddie vs Pitbull. Its a viewers/readers-choice event so lets hope people are still in this section (more than I am).

 

Hopefully Ill put out the next 2 BoBWs in super-quick time and we can get into the last month. Then I promise all feuds will come together for a final hurrah.
