All the best.

London

Figured I'd chime in here as LSX is my favorite promotion in the data, and probably the one I had the biggest part in creating characters for.

  • Guy Hero & Sir Walter Funk are two of the first character ideas I had after joining the Londonverse team. Of course at the time we were working on CWE, so we saved it until we moved on to LSX afterwords as the duo weren't really a good fit for the #2 promotion in the US. :p

  • The Windy City Whirlwinds were a team I had suggested, but in my original pitch Tyson Jet was the promotions color commentator after a career ending injury. Obviously London liked the team, as he decided to have Flash recovered & reunited with his partner.

  • The Picnic Crusade, The Horror Story, & The Hellspawn Playgroup were all in the data before I joined, but the Fallout was a concept I came up with while the Old School Trio was one me & London worked on together. I think I'm in agreement with London on the Old School being my favorite, but I like all 5 of them.

  • Strangely enough Tiberious Rex wasn't my idea, London came up with it; though obviously I liked since I made it my avatar.

  • The Super Evil character concept originally wasn't an alien, but London decided to just go wild while he was rendering and created the amazing render he now has. He's probably my favorite character in LSX.

Good video as always by London, bonus points if you can spot the mandatory Heel vs Heel/Face vs Face match he books by mistake!

I should be filming a few episodes tomorrow evening for editing over the weekend. Two of the episodes I have decided upon already with a third still up in the air.

For anyone that hasn't checked the London-Verse youtube series thus far, I would highly recommend it ;)

just out of morbid curiosity has any of our guys from the competition thingy ever made it in?

What ever happened to the competition?

Everyone from the competition is in and in the development territory that ran the competition. So no need to worry there. :)

London will be able to answer this better than me (Tiberious too) but the competition got cut short for...reasons.

What ever happened to the competition?

It was a while ago, but I believe the main reason it fizzled out, aside from London & Myself being busy, is that we were getting less and less submissions for the promo contests as it went on. London didn't want to have to prod people into participating, so the competition was ended although as MHero said the workers made it into the data.

I edited the Bios for most of the workers, though I tried to keep the core concepts, just adding in details like where they've worked etc...

Here is Savage Youth for example:

Savage Youth, real name Clint Clinton, is the "Living Embodiment of ADD". He can't concentrate to save his life, and so found himself drifting through life without any real direction, just one of many struggling indy workers.

That is until one day he found a torn up Teddy Ruxpin doll in the trash. Now Savage Youth carries around the stuffed toy and talks to it, claiming that" Robo Teddy" as he calls has given him a new direction. It's debatable if this is a gimmick or a serious psychological issue, but it did get him noticed and his career has taken off. He signed a developmental deal with AWF in 2013 and headed to CPWE where he has formed an entertaining tag team with Zeke Garrett known as the New Wave of Awesome. Savage Youth may not be the most reliable worker, but his tag team has become very popular and could see both men brought up to the main roster sooner rather than later.

Hi everybody.

I want to apologize but I don't want to see the videos, just because the focal point to me of the Londonverse is that is totally unkown. I can said the best workers in Cverse and in the real world, but I cannot say nothing about Londonverse, and it would be great as a challenge!

Cheers

Any chance of reuploading the first AWF video in a higher resolution like the latter videos? I'm loving reading the bios of all the workers, but it's very tough to do with the AWF video.

If that's not possible, maybe a new video in a higher res with just a quick scroll through the roster? I can certainly pause as necessary to read.

Good stuff. UKWF is a great and fun looking company. I'd run them like early WCW before the NWO showed up. I think that after SJW and Joshi, i'd go with them for a long term game. Great characters and plenty of storylines that almost write themselves like SJW, at least for me.

Time to go back to Canada and check out that scene.

  • 4 weeks later...

This is one of the things I've been looking forward to. Well...the whole thing I've been waiting for. But as someone who participated in the "So You Wanna Be A Pro Wrestler?" contest, I really wanted to see how things turned out. (It was a lot of fun, BTW, and I actually had a couple promos planned out when the contest fizzled out.)

Suffice it to say, I am happy to see the result. It kind of makes me wish we could play development companies, because all the entries were great.
