WWE Tag Team Titles Match: Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov defend vs. The Usos

Ugh please get the belts off of them soon tho, at least?

 

Melina vs. Eve

Melina is the one getting a title shot soon, so build her here.

 

Heath Slater vs. Mark Henry

Faith! And interference from Kidd and/or Andrews.

 

Tyson Kidd vs. David Hart Smith

Battle of the Dynasty! DH can pick up the win thanks to Henry and then it turns into a 2 on 2 feud. Please push both of them some though? I can't see either of them as World champ, but Tag or US would be great for these two.

 

Justin Gabriel vs. John Cena

Sorry Justin, it just ain't gonna happen.

 

CM Punk vs. Randy Orton

Gabriel takes a loss so that Punk can make the Nexus look strong again.

WWE Tag Team Titles Match: Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov defend vs. The Usos

Oh God, how many times did WWE shove this match in our faces at the start of last year, too many times :p.

 

Melina vs. Eve

Momentum builder for the title challenger.

 

Heath Slater vs. Mark Henry

Even if Kidd is involved I can still see Henry winning by DQ.

 

Tyson Kidd vs. David Hart Smith

Kidd builds momentum plus DH Smith has been a non entity so far in this dynasty and for good reason.

 

Justin Gabriel vs. John Cena

Gabriel was always my favorite member of Nexus but this isn't his day.

 

CM Punk vs. Randy Orton

Nexus need at least 1 win for the night, can also see a draw involving Cena or Miz in some way.

[The show begins with a recap from the main event last week. John Cena and John Morrison got the win over CM Punk and Justin Gabriel but they paid for it with an attack by The Nexus. Both Cena and Morrison were left laid out on the mat following moves such as the Go To Sleep and the 450 Splash. The Nexus stood tall in the center of the ring. Then we went into the opening for the show.]

[As Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler welcome everyone to Fair Park Arena in Birmingham, Alabama, I HEAR VOICES IN MY HEAD, Voices by Rev Theory brings out the #1 contender to the WWE Championship Randy Orton! Orton draws in the loud crowd response as he walks down toward the ring and slithers inside like the Viper that he is. Orton poses up on the turnbuckles as the pyros explode and then moves to the center of the ring with a microphone.]

 

Randy Orton

"Last week, The Miz won the Beat The Clock Challenge and won the right to decide the stipulation for our match at the Royal Rumble. But it does not matter what stipulation he chooses. He could choose to have me wrestle with one hand tied behind my back. He could choose to have me wrestle on my knees. He could choose a cage match, a ladder match. It doesn't matter what type of match he chooses because at the end of the day I am walking out of the Royal Rumble as the WWE Champion. Miz, you can also attack me each and every week here on Raw. We can go to Smackdown and you can do the same. But what matters is what happens at the Royal Rumble in about two weeks. What matters is that I am walking away as the.."

 

[Orton is interrupted by the opening to the music of the leader of Nexus: CM Punk! Punk walks out from the back with a smile on his face. He heads right down to the ring and climbs inside, looking Randy Orton face to face.]

 

CM Punk

"Randall, Randall, Randall. You come out here and you talk your good game and sometimes you even back it up. Sometimes you hit a guy with your RKO and you get the pinfall. But sometimes you don't. Unlike me. I always hit my finisher on each and every superstar that I face and I make them go to sleep or I make them tap out. That is what makes me the best wrestler in the world. That is what makes me your Straight Edge Saviour. That is what makes me, well, it makes me better than you, Randall."

 

Randy Orton

"Is that so? Well, you know what? As long as you're here tonight and I'm here tonight, why don't the two of us step inside this ring and see who the better man is?"

 

[before CM Punk can respond, they are interrupted by the siren of the Anonymous Raw General Manager. The crowd boos while CM Punk and Randy Orton both smirk at each other. The lights flash several times and then more music takes its place. NEW, NEW, NEW, NEW WORLD ORDER. FOR LIFE! The crowd is shocked as the nWo music from the WCW days, also known as Rockhouse by Frank Shelley, begins to play. All eyes turn toward the top of the ramp to see who is going to be making his entrance here tonight...]

[it's Eric Bischoff! Eric Bischoff has made his return to the WWE! Bischoff smiles widely, pointing to his smile and then jawwing with the fans as he walks down toward the ring. Bischoff pauses at the bottom of the steps, soaking in the mixture of some cheers but mostly boos. Bischoff climbs the stairs and then enters the ring, looking to the astonished faces of both Randy Orton and CM Punk. Bischoff has the microphone.]

 

Eric Bischoff

"Oh I absolutely LOVE you guys! You know it and I know it! And I have to say that it is amazing to be back here in WWE and to be back here on Monday Night Raw! In case you haven't figured it out, I am the Anonymous Raw General Manager. It was me all along! You see, the real reason I didn't come on Raw live every single week was not because I was afraid to make myself known. No, it was because I was stuck in a horrible contract with another company. I was trapped with nowhere to go. Therefore, I could not show my face here. But now I managed to get together with my lawyers and I am back here on Monday Night Raw. Now it's time to show everybody that controversy does indeed create cash. You two gentlemen seem to have a beef with one another tonight and I am inclined to agree to a match between the two of you. So tonight my first official decision right here on Monday Night Raw is to create this match for our main event this evening. CM Punk versus Randy Orton. Do me proud, gentlemen."

 

['Rockhouse' begins to play again as Punk and Orton stare each other down. Bischoff shrugs and exits the ring, moving toward the back. Punk slowly follows and so does Orton eventually, though Orton plays to the crowd on the way to the back.]

Santino Marella and Vladimir Kozlov defend vs. The Usos

 

[Our opening contest here on Raw is a rather short tag team match pitting Santino and Kozlov against The Usos in a defense of the WWE Tag Team titles. The match was back and forth with Kozlov getting in some power moves on both Usos. But the downfall came when he tagged in Santino. Santino was distracted by the presence of Tamina at ringside and The Usos took advantage. Santino got caught in a Samoan Spike and Jey Uso makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3! We have new WWE Tag Team Champions!]

 

Winners: The Usos (Via Pinfall @ 4:57; The Usos win the WWE Tag Team titles)

[I HEAR VOICES IN MY HEAD! As the show went to a commercial, out comes Randy Orton. The Viper pauses at the ring and pulls out a t-shirt cannon. He enters the ring and begins shooting t-shirts into the crowd. The t-shirts are the brand new Randy Orton 'Viper' t-shirt. The crowd goes wild in the audience for one of these.]

[As we come back from commercial, we are taken to a video where the heads of barbie dolls are being tossed into a box. The camera pulls back and the legs are being tossed into a seperate box. The arms and bodies into more boxes. The camera focuses in on the person tearing apart the barbie dolls. The woman gives an evil look into the camera and laughs an evil laugh. Kharma coming soon to the WWE!]

[Our Womens match is one that the fans seem to be using for their bathroom break as the #1 contender to the Divas title Melina takes on Eve. Melina is dominant in this match, with Eve barely getting in any offense at all. Melina shows her flexibility in dropping Eve with a split-legged neckbreaker. Melina finishes off the match by dropping Eve with the Last Call sunset flip powerbomb and using it as her pinfall: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

 

Winner: Melina (Via Pinfall @ 5:29)

[We head to the backstage area following the Divas match to reveal the office of our Raw General Manager: Eric Bischoff. Bischoff is standing there with an arrogant smile on his face and then the camera pulls back to reveal John Cena standing in the office as well.]

 

Eric Bischoff

"John, it's always good to see you."

 

John Cena

"I wish I could say the same, Eric."

 

Eric Bischoff

"That's Mr. Bischoff to you. But that doesn't really matter right now. I just wanted you to come to my office and say hello."

 

John Cena

"That's funny. The last time I saw you here on Raw you were being taken out in a garbage truck courtesy of, well, me."

 

Eric Bischoff

"But that was the old Eric Bischoff. The new Eric Bischoff thought that you might like to know your match next week right here on Raw. You are going to be teaming up with the man who beat you two weeks ago here on Raw Randy Orton to face CM Punk and The Miz! Now that's ratings!"

 

[Cena nods and the two men just look each other in the eyes as we head to commercial.]

[As we move to commercial, Maryse comes out to the ring for the fans in attendance. She does a little tease and gyration for the fans inside the ring. She leans over the ropes and almost looks like she might come out of her top. Then she shrugs, waves and heads to the back.]

Heath Slater vs. Mark Henry

 

[Our next match is an interesting one as Heath Slater steps into the ring with the World's Strongest Man Mark Henry. Slater tries to get in some early offense but for most of the match he proves that selling is his strongest point as he takes many bumps for Mark Henry. He sends Slater into the corner and gives him an avalanche and then lifts Slater into a Bear Hug. He squeezes the life out of Slater, forcing him to submit.]

 

Winner: Mark Henry (Via Submission @ 5:16)

[Mark Henry releases Heath Slater and drops the Nexus member to the mat. He turns to exit the ring when he gets attacked from behind by an unknown wrestler. Michael Cole and Jerry Lawler announce the man as Japanese Legend Masahiro Chono! But they have no idea what he is doing here on Raw. He drops Henry with the Kenka Kick and then hooks on what Jerry Lawler calls an FTS. That is a stepover toehold into a sleeperhold. Henry struggles but Chono keeps the hold on until The World's Strongest Man fades out! Chono releases and with a cold, icy look, he exits the ring and walks toward the back.]

[We head backstage once again where we go to Eric Bischoff's office. This time inside that office is none other than the WWE Champion The Miz. The Miz smiles and shakes hands with Bischoff.]

 

The Miz

"I KNEW that the Anonymous General Manager had to be someone of great character and leadership. And now that we know who it is, I am not that surprised. Mr. Bischoff, it is good to have you on board The Miz's show."

 

Eric Bischoff

"Thank you, Miz. You have proven yourself to be a worthy WWE Champion and perhaps the greatest WWE Champion of all time. I know that you have the ability to pick out the stipulation for your match at the Royal Rumble against Randy Orton but why don't we hold off on that until next week?"

 

The Miz

"Awesome."

 

[The Miz and Eric Bischoff shake hands as we go to commercial.]

[As we go to commercial, 'The Time Is Now' brings out the ever-controversial John Cena. Cena heads to the ring amidst the boos and cheers of the fans and grabs the t-shirt cannon. He begins firing as many t-shirts out into the crowd as he can. Then he places the cannon back under the ring and high fives the fans as he walks to the back.]

Tyson Kidd vs. David Hart Smith

 

[This match shows us the reason that Masahiro Chono attacked Mark Henry earlier in the night as he comes out alongside Jackson Andrews and Tyson Kidd. Kidd and Smith are one time tag team partners and now men who have feuded with one another. Their familiarity with each other shows in the ring as the match is back and forth. Kidd goes for a Brainbuster on Smith but Smith reverses it into a hanging vertical suplex. Smith lifts Kidd on his shoulder, setting up the running powerslam but unbeknownst to the referee and to Smith, Chono grabs the legs of Kidd and pulls him down. Kidd brings Smith down with a kick to the back of the head. Kidd lands a Springboard Elbow Drop and makes the cover: 1 -- 2 -- 3!]

 

Winner: Tyson Kidd (Via Pinfall @ 5:52)

[We head backstage where some type of fight has erupted between two superstars. John Morrison and Sheamus are throwing heavy handed punches to one another. Morrison tries to spring off a table but gets caught by Sheamus and dropped with a gutbuster! Sheamus hits Morrison with the Irish Curse backbreaker, dropping Morrison on the concrete. Morrison struggles to fight back but Sheamus begins choking him on the ground. The choke is only broken by the presence of several officials as we go to commercial.]

[During the commercial break, Nikki Bella comes out to the ring. One half of the Bella Twins does a dance inside the ring for the fans who are here in attendance. The crowd seems to enjoy this for the most part, though some of the younger ones in attendance have their eyes covered.]

[Our semi main event and this should be a great one as Justin Gabriel of the Nexus takes on John Cena. The match itself is back and forth between the two with both men getting in some strong bursts of offense. This match definitely seems to elevate Gabriel in the eyes of the fans. Gabriel focuses with kicks and draws a two count following a moonsault on Cena. The momentum shifts, though, when Cena reverses a hurricanrana attempt into a power bomb. Cena rises to his feet and does the 'You Can't See Me' sign. He bounces off the ropes -- Five Knuckle Shuffle! Cena looks to Gabriel, waiting for him to rise -- Attitude Adjustment! Cena could go for the cover there. Instead, he locks in the STF! Gabriel struggles for about thirty seconds before tapping out.]

 

Winner: John Cena (Via Submission @ 8:26)

Match Rating: B+

 

[John Cena releases the hold and gets his arm raised in victory. As we go to commercial for the viewers at home, Cena moves out from the ring and high fives the fans. He moves out into the audience, shaking hands and hugging as many fans as he can as he moves toward the back.]

CM Punk vs. Randy Orton

 

[We come back from commercial with the entrances of both CM Punk and Randy Orton. The crowd is ready for this matchup and they are not disappointed as Punk and Orton put on a show that is worthy of this being a main event match. The support from the crowd gives Orton a definite advantage in this match and he scores several near falls within the first few minutes before Punk takes control. Punk sends Orton outside the ring and seems to take delight in driving The Viper's skull into the ring post. The match moves back inside the ring where Punk attempts the Go To Sleep around the seven minute mark but Orton drops off his shoulders and catches Punk with the inverted headlock backbreaker.]

 

[Orton builds momentum with the crowd going absolutely wild. But out from the back comes the WWE Champion The Miz. Miz stands at ringside, being a definite distraction to his number one contender. Orton continues on the offensive, dropping Punk with the rope hung DDT and a scoop powerslam. It looks like he is preparing for the RKO as he slams punches into the mat. The Miz jumps onto the apron and Orton rushes him instead. Miz drops down before Orton can get his hands on his rival. Orton turns back toward Punk and Punk catches him with a sharp kick to the head. Punk lifts Orton on his shoulders -- Go To Sleep! Punk connects with his finisher! But he's not done. He grabs Orton -- Anaconda Vice! He hooks on his submission hold. Orton struggles, trying to reach the ropes. The crowd tries to rally Orton to get to the ropes. But he has to tap out! Orton taps!]

 

Winner: CM Punk (Via Submission @ 9:31)

Match Rating: A

 

[CM Punk picks up an amazing victory here tonight over the #1 contender Randy Orton. The crowd is in shock! Punk releases the hold and shoves Orton out of the ring with his feet. Punk stands tall and gets his arm raised but then he asks for a microphone. He moves back to the center of the ring and looks around at the crowd before sitting down indian style.]

 

CM Punk

"John Cena, earlier tonight you decided to beat one of my Nexus members not just after the Attitude Adjustment but you decided to add insult to injury and hook on the STF and make him tap out. That was a horrible mistake. You have proven yourself to be nothing more than a bully. And I don't like bullies. I don't like arrogant nothings who have been overpushed and overhyped. And that is exactly what you are, John. You are unworthy of your spot at the top of this company. Need I remind you of what happened at One Night Stand back in 2006? Need I remind you of the 'You Can't Wrestle' chants? I have never had any fans tell me that I can't wrestle. In fact, I have many people tell me that I am the best wrestler in the world. But that's because I am straight edge. I live a lifestyle that is best suited to competition. John, you're going to get yours at the Royal Rumble when you have to be inside the ring with me and every member of my Nexus at the same time. And I'm going to prove to you what everyone else here already knows: I..am..BETTER..than..you."

 

[Punk drops the microphone and the camera zooms in on his smiling face as the end credits rise and we fade to black.]

Sorry I've been absent from predictions, I forgot that there was a real world diary I was actually reading, as I've been pretty much sticking to C-Verse. I just looked past as I saw this was WWE for a bit lol. Back now though, and all caught up (I think).

But Barrett is a crafty wrestler and very much willing to take the low road if he deems it necessary. Barrett is definitely on the rise and he puts forth a very good showing against the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. The match is back and forth with Barrett getting a decided advantage as Jack Swagger comes down to ringside to scout out his Royal Rumble opponent. A little interference by Swagger leads to Barrett going for the Wasteland but the experience of Edge shows through as he catches Barrett with several elbow shots to the head. Edge whips Barrett to the ropes, knocking him into Jack Swagger, who was on the apron. Barrett moves clumsily toward Edge -- Spear! Edge spears Barrett out of his boots! -Bellas are a "real team" but Melina is kinda a big deal
