Loving this dynasty- as Effect says, you do a good job of capturing a Chikara-esque vibe without being a complete rip-off

Grand Title Match: Dread Nocturne© vs El Estandar

Nocturne's only just won the title, and it seems unlikely that he'd lose it to a visiting star like Estandar

Tag Team Title Match: Discotheque© vs the Women of Destruction

My feeling is always that you can't have two sets of heel champions, so Discotheque win here to retain the titles

Trios Tournament Round One Matches:

Team DRAGON vs The Hollywood Heroes

Just 'cos, really

The Frat Pack vs Terror Rising II

JOBBERS!

Heroes United vs The Submission Machines

I could see this going the other way, but Meido seems to be getting more of a push

The Secret Service vs The Throwbacks

You want to keep the Service in the tournament as long as possible to exploit their exceptional angle ratings is key segments. Also, I like 'em more

Imma not going to predict but I just have to say that this and the SAW diary are the reason I come to this forum xD

I love Chikara as well so I can see the link :D

Thanks! I like your version of Hallowarped in your avatar. I do like ZEN in the C-Verse and their one of the reasons I bought TEW2010 since I was playing as them in the demo and wanted to keep playing when time ran out.

Thanks again! I appreciate the kind words.

I make no secret of the fact that some of the changes I've made to POW are based on Chikara. The Trios Tournament in particular is obviously an idea stolen from Chikara's King of Trios, but I'm a sucker for tournaments and having POW's biggest yearly events be tournaments sets it apart from most other promotions in the jhdVerse. I also like Chikara's focus on tag team wrestling, so I've been working on building up that division with the people I've signed.

Thanks for the predictions, but I think you forgot to pick a winner in the last match unless you think The Secret Service and The Throwbacks are going to draw.

Just caught up with this now...

* Surprised that Sky Panther, lost the title and to a newcomer in Dread Nocturn.

* I called WMD winning the CHAOS tournament, though that was in anticipation of Sky Panther a face being champion.

* Interesting that you're showing of Meido's surprising technical wrestling acumen, rather than his comedic side, and in my DIASPORA diary it's the other way round- even though Paragon's is supposed to be the more comedic focused fed.

* Heck of alot of debuts, just be careful you don't end up with a bloated roster- though I take it alot of the one's for the trios tournament are just temporary additions on talent trades and such like.

Grand Title Match: Dread Nocturne© vs El Estandar

El Estandar gets a title match here because in reality he's a bigger name, who works for a bigger company- but he's just a visitor, and visitor's don't win titles, unless they're actually sticking around- and I think El Estandar is more than likely just here on a flying visit. Besides it's way too early for Nocturne to drop the belt.

Tag Team Title Match: Discotheque© vs the Women of Destruction

I'm actually going to go with the general consensus thus far and back The WMD to win the titles here.

Trios Tournament Round One Matches:

Team DRAGON vs The Hollywood Heroes

I don't think Team DRAGON being a visiting team will win the tournament, but being from a bigger company- they should at least make it to the next round and go over what looks to be likely another bunch of temporary additions/trialists in Hollywood Heroes.

The Frat Pack vs Terror Rising II

Frat Pack kind of suck, and I take it this tournament is to build up som decent challengers for the trios belts- so you may as well have a team go over them in the first round.

Heroes United vs The Submission Machines

This could actually go over way, but as someone else said you do seem to be actually giving Meido a pretty serious push-even if he did just 'lose' the feud with El Scorcho.

The Secret Service vs The Throwbacks

Secret Service seem to have been giving a pretty strong push since coming into POW! and The Throwbacks seem like glorified jobbers to me.

Welcome back Tigerkinney!

*Yes it was a bit early for Sky Panther to drop the title and he wasn't too happy to lose the match since at the time Dread Nocturne was lower popularity than him, but the thing is Sky Panther isn't really that great a wrestler. At 21 he has plenty of time to develop, but he just didn't have the in ring or promo skills to warrant holding the top title. I think having him drop it was the right call since Dread Nocturne has been delivering in the main events and he's currently #1 in the franchise players list.

*I was actually thinking early on of having DISCO Fox win the Chaos Tournament, but I decided in the end that since we're a popularity based fed it would make sense for WMD and El Scorcho to face off in the finals. It was a bit odd to have heels win both the Grand Title and Chaos Title in the same night, but I think it works out alright.

*I didn't really intend from the outset to make Meido so serious, but I just kind of developed his feud with El Scorcho as time went on and I expect we'll see a bit more of his comedic side now that the feuds over with.

*I realize I have way more guys on the roster than I really should have. It'll be a bit lower after the trios tournament, but even then I'll still be way over the ideal roster. If the Economy and Wrestling industry in the US weren't as good as they are then I'd probably be bankrupt soon. Poor Japan in my game is currently at 0 economy and 4 Wrestling Industry.

Trios Tournament Match:

Team DRAGON (Akito Nakada, Haruko Yamada, and Toson Soseki)

vs

El Hot Dog is announced as the mystery partner to the Hollywood Heroes. Despite being a rather underwhelming addition his comedy meshes in well with the trio. Throughout the match El Hot Dog does some of his typical comedy spots, Martin McClane hits some of his signature action movie poses, and Krash Test Dummy comically oversells some of the opponents basic offense.

For their part Team DRAGON seem to want no part in the comedy and instead are totally focused on winning the match. The trio establish themselves as heels fairly early on when they attack their opponents while the Hollywood Heroes and El Hot Dog are doing an action pose for the crowd.

Despite this the match is fairly even with the Hollywood Heroes proving to be capable wrestlers despite their comedy antics. At one point McClane looks to have the pin on Yamada after he hits the Double Action DDT, but it's broken up by his partner.

The end comes after the "Lethal Dragon" Toson Soseki hits Krash Test Dummy with a brutal Trauma Driver (Vertebreaker) on the outside. The Rising Dragons double team El Hot Dog as Yamada hits a Super Kick immediately followed up by a Nakada Driver (Michinoku Driver II) Nakada makes the cover while his partners prevent Martin McClane from making the save.

[W]Akito Nakada, Haruko Yamada, and Toson Soseki defeat Krash Test Dummy, Martin McClane, and [L]El Hot Dog in 9:36 via Pinfall.

Ferocious CHI was unveiled as the new member of team Terror Rising and the big man had a look of intense rage on his face before the match even started.

The Frat Pack worked well as a team, but seemed to not have an answer for the individual strength of each member of Terror Rising. Xero dazzled with his amazing acrobatic maneuvers, the slippery Biohazard used a blend of technique and speed to take control, and the newcomer Ferocious CHI showed some tremendous power as he beat down his opponents with a stiff intense style.

The Frat Pack used their teamwork to stage a few come backs, but in the end it was all too much for them. The end came after Freshman Patel was all alone in the ring and was hit by a succession of finishing maneuvers. First Biohazard took him out with a Lethal Dosage (Flip Piledriver) followed up by CHI dragging Patel up to hit him with a Nature's Fury (Spinning Power Bomb) and it was all capped off with a Xero Hour (Double Rotation Moonsault) from Xero.

[W]Xero, Biohazard, and Ferocious CHI defeat Darius King, [L]Freshman Patel, and Scott Bingington in 8:20 via Pinfall.

Rating: 37 (D-)

Real wrestling isn't about doing flips, it's hold and counter hold catch as can. I'm here to show POW what real English wrestling is all bout."

"I bet you think I'm sad about not having you on my team Scorcho-san, but the truth is I've forgotten about you already. You see I found a new partner even better then you. A partner who I'm sure will appreciate my anime collection and will be grateful to have me as a partner. You hear that Scorcho-San? I don't need you and in fact I've forgotten you already, so stop obsessing about me."

Trios Tournament Match:

Heroes United ("The Amazing" Hombre Arana, "Super" Layla Fyre, and The Flying Vergomov)

vs

The Submission Machines (Daniel James, Meido Machine, and Tone Pierce)

The surprise member of the Submission Machines turns out to rather underwhelmingly be Tony Pearce.

The match was back and forth with neither side able to establish a clear advantage over the other. Throughout the match Daniel James would verbally berate anyone who went to the top rope including his own partners, Meido Machine was back to his usual posturing and antics while Tony Pearce didn't say a word and didn't seem to show emotion of any kind during the match.

Heroes United worked better as a team, but the Submission Machines were all talented technical wrestlers and with a fair bit of cheating were able to match the Heroes teamwork. A few of the highlights of the match include a spot where the Submission Masters each locked in a submission hold on one member of the heroes in the ring and another spot where the Heroes took out the heels with simultaneous dives to the outside.

The end came after Meido had worn down The Flying Vergomov and was preparing to hit him with the Kawaii-Beam (Missle Dropkick), but Daniel James was so annoyed by the theatrics and high flying that he tagged himself in and took the time to berate Meido for going to the top rope. This proved to be a mistake as by the time he turned around Hombre Arana had tagged in and immediately hit a Spiderana (Dragonrana) and got the three count before the surprised Englishman could kick out.

[W]Hombre Arana, Layla Fyre, and The Flying Vergomov defeat [L]Daniel James, Meido Machine, and Tony Pierce.

Agent X

"Sir Scott Seal, last week you cheated me out of the battle royale. However tonight you'll pay for your interference. However don't get the wrong defeating you is part of the mission and the mission always comes first. Getting payback? Well now that's just a bonus.

"Aviator" Lt. Geoffrey C. Westminster II

"Jolly good day to you, my name's Aviator Lt. Geoffrey C. Westminster the second and me and my merry band are going to win this Trios tournament. As far as I'm concerned we're the only team that has what it takes to win the tournament as we've got old school values from three different tonight and tonight we'll show the Secret Service some old school principals."

Sir Scott Seal

"It is only natural that I, Sir Scott Seal, the most brave and dashing knight in all the realm should enter myself into this tournament. Truly I am the Paragon of righteousness and therefore it is only fitting that I become the tournament champion."

Trios Tournament Match:

The Secret Service (Agent X, Oliver Owens the 7th, and The Master of Disguise)

Both teams were looking to both advance in the tournament and score some retribution after the altercation at last month's the Oncoming Storm. The match itself was a very back and forth. Sir Scott Seal spent most of the match taunting and looking confidant, but immediately tagging out as soon as Agent X got into the ring.

The end of the match came after Sir Scott Seal countered the License to Kill (Dragon Suplex Hold) from Oliver Owens and tagged in Lt. Westminster who spiked Owens with the Bombing Run (Tornado DDT).

Westminster went for the cover, but The Master of Disguise broke the pin up in spectacular fashion by nailing Westminster with the Unidentified Flying Object (Corkscrew Shooting Star Press). This brought in the Highwayman who immediately took out The Master of Disguise with a Stand and Deliver (Lariat).

The Highwayman taunted after taking out his opponent, but he turned around to find Agent X in the ring with him and the giant woman proceeded to nail him with a series of clotheslines. The Highwayman stumbled to his corner looking for a tag, but Sir Scott Seal wanted no part of the angry Agent X and hopped off the apron. The Highwayman yelled at his partner, but ignoring his opponent proved a huge mistake as Agent X grabbed him from behind and nailed him with the X-Bomb (Full Nelson Slam) and covered him for the win.

[W]Agent X, Oliver Owens the 7th, and The Master of Disguise defeat Lt. Geoffrey C. Westminster II, [L]The Highwayman, and Sir Scott Seal in 10:21 via Pinfall.

Tag Team Championship Match:

Discotheque (Donny Chic and KC Summers) ©

vs

The Women of Doom (Mio Nawabe and WMD)

<a href="http://s1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/?action=view&current=POW_Sidekick.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/POW_Sidekick.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/?action=view&current=DonnyChic.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/DonnyChic.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/?action=view&current=KCSummer.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/KCSummer.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a> vs <a href="http://s1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/?action=view&current=MioNawabe.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/MioNawabe.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a><a href="http://s1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/?action=view&current=WMD.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i1253.photobucket.com/albums/hh584/Tiberious4/WMD.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>

Discotheque got a good reaction from the crowd as they made their way down to the ring with their titles looking confidant despite the big challenge ahead of them. WMD and Mio Nawabe ignored the crowd as they walked down to the ring and stared down their opponents.

The match between the two experienced teams was back and forth with the crowd clearly behind the champions. Discotheque tried to use their fast paced offense and teamwork to control the match, but their opponents were just as experienced and the power of WMD and the technique of Mio Nawabe looked like it might be too much for the disco duo to overcome.

The Women of Destruction looked like they had the win after a Sideslam/Senton combo on KC Summers, but "Superfly" showed a lot of heart and determination by kicking out. The Women of Destruction continued working over KC Summers and Mio Nawabe looked again to put him away with a Fisherwoman's Suplex, but Summers again got a shoulder up at the last second.

WMD and Mio Nawabe continued to isolate and work over KC Summers, but when WMD went for the Powerbomb he meanaged to wriggle out and nail the big woman with a dropkicks. WMD got the tag in on Niowabe, but she couldn't stop Summers from getting the hot tag on Donny Chic.

Donny Chic came into the match hot and the crowd cheered him as he took down both of his opponents with a series of flying forearms and dropkicks. He sent WMD to the floor with a headscissors and followed it up with a flying somersault plancha to the outside that took down the big woman. As Donny Chic re-etnered the ring he was met by the boot of Mio Nawabe and the Joshi star unloaded on a series of kicks.

Mio Nawabe signaled she was going to put away her opponent with the Fisherwoman's Suplex, but Donny Chic reversed the move into an inside craddle. The referee began counting, but WMD was in to break it up at the two and a half count. WMD tried to bring down Chic with a big clothesline, but Donny Chic ducked it and nailed her with a series of forearms. Donny Chic tried to get something going by running off the ropes, but Mio Nawabe tripped him up and the distraction was enough for WMD to hit a huge Spinebuster on the tag team champion.

WMD could only get a two count on Chic, but with both members of the Women of Destruction in the ring they signaled to the crowd they were going to put away Chic. WMD lifted Donny Chic onto her shoulders as Mio Nawabe climbed the turnbuckle to hit the Doomsday Dropkick, but Donny Chic countered with a hurricanrana on WMD that sent her into the corner crotching Mo Nawabe on the top rope!

KC Summers slid back into the ring and as soon as WMD got up and out of the corner she was nailed by The Parties Over (Double Superkick)! Discotheque then climbed up to the top rope where Mio Nawabe was perched and hit the Retro Fly (Spanish Fly). Donny Chic made the cover and got the three count as the crowd cheered the champions.

[W]Donny Chic and KC Summers defeat WMD and [L]Mio Nawabe in 13:58 via Pinfall to retain the Sidekicks Titles.

The camera shifts to backstage where El Estandar is preparing for his match when El Scorcho walks in.

El Scorcho

"Hey, I just wanted to wish you good luck on your title match tonight."

El Estandar

"Thanks. You know it's an honor to get a title match here in POW and I want to make the best of it."

"I know you can do it! Plus with my black belt in inspirational speeches I'm sure you'll be ready to do it!"

"Thanks, but I'm already all fired up to do this; Lucha Style!"

The crowd was firmly behind El Estandar despite this being this being the PWI star's first appearance in POW. Dread Nocturne tried to use his quick strikes and wrestling ability to take control of the match, but El Estandar surprised the grand champion with a variety of impressive Lucha moves that all inevitably ended in arm drags.

Dread Nocturne grew frustrated with the offense of the Luchador Standard and went to the outside to get a break, but El Estandar wasn't going to give the Grand Champion a break as he dove to the outside and took down Dread Nocturne with a flying armdrag.

The match went back and forth with the Champion looking in good form, but the "Lucador Standard" El Estandar repeatedly surprised the champion with his innovative offense. Eventually Dread Nocturne looked to finish El Estandar off with a Light's Out (Brainbuster), but El Estandar reversed the move and hit him with an impressive Double Pumphandle Orange Crush. Nocturne managed to save his championship by getting his foot on the rope at the last second.

El Estandar gets the crowd behind him as he lifts Dread Nocturne to his feet and whips him into the corner. The Luchado standard hits several chops in the corner before lifting Dread Nocturne onto the corner and following him up to hit a Superplex. Dread Nocturne however grabs onto the ropes to prevent the move and the two wrestlers trade punches on the top rope. Dread Nocturne gets the advantage after a few hard elbows to the head of El Estandar and lifts the Luchador Standard up and drops him down to the mat on his head with a devastating Avalanche Light's Out (Avalanche Brain Buster). Dread Nocturne covers his opponent as the referee makes the three count.

Dread Nocturne defeats El Estandar in 14:12 via Pinfall to retain the POW Grand Title.

I was actually surprised that our event got as high a rating as it did as it was actually our best yet. I suppose having two good matches in your co-main events makes up for the undercard not being so great.

Trios Tournament Matches:

Disco Fever vs Team DRAGON

This is where the guest team, gets to put over the talent that will be actually sticking around, and the fact that Disco Fever retained the Sidekicks titles, when many thought their reign as champions (myself included) would come to an end, means that they are still getting a relatively strong push.

The Secret Service vs Terror Rising I

Right now Secret Service are a solid midcard unit, where as Terror Rising have been pushed to the top pretty fast, as the top heel unit, and as this is the A-Team with the current champion- they'll be advancing to the next round.

Lucha International vs Terror Rising II

Lucha International, on the other hand feature two of the top babyfaces in Slo-Mo Dojo and a notable guest star in El Estandar, so I think they'll make it past Terror Rising's B team.

Heroes United vs The Women of Destruction

Women of Destruction feature more established talent, plus the fact that I already have two babyface teams advancing, so having another heel unit go through balances out the semi finals.

Singles Matches

El Hot Dog vs Meido Machine

Comedy midcarder over comedy jobber

Darius King vs Sir Scott Seal

Seal seems to come in with a little bit of fanfare, and I really don't think you care all that much for the Frat-Pack.

No reason to but visiting guys over some of your better regular ones.

The Secret Service vs Terror Rising I

I´m still not trusting Dreamscape but they will get past Secret Service as there isn´t anyone on the other team who warrant going over your current champ.

Lucha International vs Terror Rising II

Even though Panther and Scorcho seem to have little bit of problems currently I would assume that they are big enough names to go over here.

Heroes United vs The Women of Destruction

Women of Destruction simply are bigger names.

Singles Matches

El Hot Dog vs Meido Machine

Hot Dog doesn´t win matches.

Darius King vs Sir Scott Seal

Neither haven´t impressed me so far but Seal seems to be higher on the pecking order.

Disco Fever vs Team DRAGON

This one's largely for balance- you need an equal balance of heels and faces

The Secret Service vs Terror Rising I

They're a top trio, and I have them pegged as finalists

Lucha International vs Terror Rising II

Standard tactic- finalists beat evil stable B-Team to make them seem like a threat

Heroes United vs The Women of Destruction

Heroes United are good, but WofD have a couple of top names

A new update is posted http://www.ParagonsOfWrestling.com

Paragons of Wrestling is pleased to welcome as it's newest member...Well there's a slight problem. Our newest signing was on the way to the arena when he suffered a tragic collision with a fruit stand that has left him with amnesia. He remembers he was supposed to join POW, but he can't remember his name or character.

To solve this problem we're asking for fans of POW to send in ideas for what his name or character might have been. We'll be sure to update you when we have more news on this story.

OOC:

I've signed a randomly generated wrestler, but was having trouble thinking of a character/gimmick for them. Then I had the idea of having the winners of the prediction contest send in ideas for the character; his name, gimmick, appearance, whether he has a mask, etc... As I lack any artistic talent jhd1 has graciously offered to create the portrait for the winner.

Rules of the Contest:

This contest will be held from now until December of the in-game year. At the end of that time period the person with the most correct predictions will be able to PM me/jhd1 with their ideas for the character.

The fans were firmly behind the three Luchadors as they made their way to the ring, but the fearsome Terror Rising Trio were unimpressed by their opponents. The match was a fast paced back and forth affair. The three luchadors showed good teamwork and had some good double and triple team moves, but their opponents were more than able to fight back with the amazing acrobatics of Xero, the fluid technical style of Biohazard, and the Power game of Ferocious CHI proving a potent combination.

The heels eventually managed to trap El Estandar in their corner and work him over, but eventually the "Luchador Standard" was able to get the hot tag which resulted in both members of the Slo-Mo Dojo facing off against the entire Terror Rising trio. The Slo-Mo Dojo evened the odds when they clasped arms and shouted Bullet Time! Suddenly everyone was moving in slow motion. The Martial Arts mastery of the Slo-Mo Dojo lets them dodge the punches of the terror rising trio and counter with some martial arts of their own. After unloading on the Terror Rising trio the duo finished off the bullet time with a Slo-Motion Stunner on Biohazard and a Blinding Kung Fu Rush on Xero. The duo went for simultaneous pins, but Ferocious CHI was back in to break them up.

El Scorcho ran to the ropes trying to build momentum, but Ferocious CHI cut him off and turned him inside out with a devastating Running Lariat. However Sky Panther rocked the big man with an Enzuigiri kick to the head that sent him stumbling into the corner. Sky Panther climbed the turnbuckle and began reigning down fists on the big man, but this only angered the big man as Ferocious CHI responded with a hard open palmed slap to the chest of Sky Panther. Chi then grabbed Sky Panther and lifted him off the ropes before dropping him to the mat with a devastating Nature's Wrath (Running Powerbomb).

Ferocious CHI made the cover on Sky Panther, but the pin was broken up at the last second by El Estandar who unloaded a series of kicks to the chest of CHI. The kicks didn't however seem to be having much of an effect on the big man who got to his feet seemingly impervious to the pain. El Estandar continued his barrage, but CHI cut him off with a serious of stiff chops to the chest of the "Luchador Standard".

Ferocious CHI grabbed El Estandar and lifted him up for the Nature's Fury (Spinning Powerbomb), but El Estandar reversed the move into a Crucifix Bomb! Seeing his chance to put away the big man El Estandar climbed up to the top rope, but suddenly the high flying Xero leapt onto the apron and delivered a big enzuigiri to the side of El Estandar's head. Xero then climbed up the turnbuckle after the "Luchador Standard" and sent them both crashing to the mat with the Xero Chance (Cyclorama).

Xero covered El Estandar and looked like he would get the three count, but El Scorcho broke up the pin by drilling Xero in the face with Scorch Kick (Superkick)! Biohazard however had recovered and cut off El Scorcho with a forearm to the back of the head that doubled over the Luchador. Biohazard saw his chance to finish and signaled for the Lethal Dosage (Flip Piledriver), however El Scorcho reversed the move into a cradle pin. Sky Panther held off Xero and CHI long enough for El Scorcho to get the three count on Biohazard.

[W]El Scorcho, Sky Panther, and El Estandar defeat Xero, [L]Biohazard, and Ferocious CHI via pinfall in 13:45.

The two big men begin the match with a test of strength which sees the Football star coming out on top, however he isn't in control long before "The Knight of the Realm" switches tactics and uses his superior technical skills to cut off the big man.

Sir Scott Seal spends the next few minutes wearing his opponents down with stiff suplexes and clubbing blows. King tried to make a come back on a few occasions, but Seal repeatedly cut him off to inflict more punishment. King managed to kick out of The Hero's Journey (Triple Rolling Germans), but Sir Scott Seal eventually put away the football star with the Dragon Slayer (Exploder Suplex.)

This matchup featured a mix of styles ranging from the high flying Hombre Arana all the way to the power game of WMD. The Women of Destruction looked confident early going in the match, but Heroes United proved to be tough opponents as both teams came close to winning it on several occasions.

After a good ten minutes of back and forth action Alexia Dynamite looked like she might have the match won when she locked in the Dynamite Lock (Twisting Armbar) on Hombre Arana in the center of the ring. However Layla Fyre was in to save her partner by nailing Dynamite with the Raging Fyre (Discus Clothesline).

WMD and Mio Nawabe knocked The Flying Vergomov off the apron while they began double teaming Layla Fyre. "Super" Layla Fyre tried to fight back, but the experienced team had the numbers advantage and took control over the isolated Layla Fyre. After some hard forearms WMD lifted Layla Fyre onto her shoulders while Mio Nawabe climbed the turnbuckle. Mio Nawabe jumped off the turnbuckle and the Woman of Destruction nailed the Doomsday Dropkick.

Mio Nawabe made the cover. The referee counted one, two, thre- Hombre Arana dived in at the last second to break the pin and save the match for the heroes. Hombre Arana began unloading with a flurry of offense on both WMD and Mio Nawabe, but eventually the numbers caught up to him as WMD caught him with a short arm lariat. WMD looked to put away Hombre Arana with the Powerbomb, but "the Amazing" Hombre Arana reversed it into a hurricanrana that sent WMD over the rope and out of the ring! Mio Nawabe moved in to finish what WMD started as she chop blocked Arana and then lifted him up to go for the Fisherwoman's Suplex, but Hombre Arana countered and instead hit the Spider's Web (

).

Hombre Arana went for the cover, but suddenly Alexia Dynamite was back in the ring to break the pin before once again locking in the Dynamite Lock (Twisting Armbar) on the Luchador. Hombre Arana struggled, but he was trapped in the center of the ring with no where to go and it looked like he would have no choice to tap out. However The Flying Vergomov broke the pin in style as he nailed Dynamite with the Triple Tabares (Triple Jump Moonsault).

The aerial maneuver seemed to have hurt Vergomov almost as much as Dynamite as he crawled over to make the cover on Alexia Dynamite. The referee started counting, but Dynamite got her shoulder up at the last minute. Vergomov looked shocked that she had kicked out, but signaled that he was going to put away his opponent and climbed to the top rope once more.

However The Flying Vergomov didn't see WMD climbing back into the ring and the monstrous woman caught him with a big right hand on the top. WMD grabbed Vergomov and lifted him into the air before planting him with the Powerbomb and covering him for the one, two, three.

The match began with plenty of gesturing and playing to the crowd from the two strange competitors. The two seemed to be competing in their attempts to play to the crowd which culminated in a dance off between the two.

El Hot Dog got more cheers from the crowd, but it was at this point that Meido remembered it was a wrestling match and attacked El Hot Dog from behind. The actual wrestling in the match was fairly brief as Meido dominated the match with his technical expertise and forced El Hot Dog to tap after locking in the Nyan-Lock (Keylock).

Dreamscape and the Secret Service had faced off a few times before and the rival tag teams looked eager to go back and forth once more. The two tag teams went after each other for most of the match with Agent X and Dread Nocturne having limited time in the ring.

After of plenty of fast paced back and forth action Dreamscape was in control. The menacing masked duo went for the Black Out (STO/Springboard Dropkick Combo) on Oliver Owens the 7th, but the Master of Disguise pulled Scaremare off the apron and onto the floor and Oliver Owens countered the STO from Frightening into a bow and arrow hold. The Master of Disguise climbed to the top turnbuckle to go for a senton while his partner held Frightening in the Bow and Arrow lock, but Dread Nocturne prevented the double team move by crotching the Master of Disguise on the apron while Scaremare came in to break up Owens hold.

Agent X however had seen enough of Dread Nocturne's inteference and grabbed Dread Nocturne and pulled him from the apron to the floor. Agent X grabbed Dread Nocturne from behind and went for the X-Bomb (Full Nelson Slam), but Dread Nocturne wriggled out. The Grand Champion wanted no part of the giant woman and retreated around ringside before rolling back into the ring to get away. Agent X tried to climb up after him, but Dreamscape cut her off with a double dropkick that sent her crashing to the barrier.

However the distraction allowed Owens to get behind Scaremare and deliver the License to Kill (Dragon Suplex). Frightening went for the Yakuza Kick on Owens as he got to his feet, but Owens ducked under and went for a second License to Kill, but Frightening hooked the leg and backed Owens into the corner. In a good show of teamwork Frightening kept Owens pinned in the corner and then ducked as Dread Nocturne came running in to deliver a jumping knee to the head of Owens who was trapped in the corner.

Dread Nocturne capitilized on the stunned owens by lifting him up and dropping him head first on the mat with the Light's Out (Brainbuster) The Master of Disguise tried to break the pin but was held back by Frightening. The referee counted the one, two, three- No! The Master of Disguise broke free of Frightening at the last minute to break up the pin.

Frightening and Dread Nocturne worked together to beat down the Master of Disguise two on one. Frightening grabbed The Master of Disguise from behind and held him in the corner and signaled for Dread Nocturne to take him out as they had with Owens, but The Master of Disguise ducked at the last second and Dread Nocturne ended up nailing his own partner in the head with a jumping kick!

Dread Nocturne tried to grab The Master of Disguise, but instead was sent head over heels with the C4! Seeing Dread Nocturne prone on the mat The Master of Disguise climbed up to the top rope as the crowd cheered him. The Master of Disguise leapt into the air with the Unidentified Flying Object (Corkscrew Shooting Star Press), but Dread Nocturne got his knees up at the last second.

Dread Nocturne dragged the Master of Disguise up to his feet and nailed him with the Light's Out (Brainbuster) before making the cover. Dread Nocturne hooked the leg and got the three count to move his team on to the semi-finals of the tournament.

The match between the six fast paced lightweights got off to a hot start with the crowd initially cheering both teams, but Team DRAGON established themselves as the heels early on when they attacked Disco Fever while the trio was having a dance break.

The crowd was firmly behind Disco Fever and the trio would often play to the crowd to get them into the match. Team DRAGON on the other hand were completely focused solely on the match and seemed to completely ignore the audience and would have no part in any theatrics and would repeatedly go on the attack when their opponents were playing to the crowd.

The match itself was a very fast paced affair with plenty of dives and high flying maneuvers. Both teams looked good and both teams came clsoe to victory several times.

After about twelve minutes Toson Soseki looked to put away KC Summers with the Trauma Driver (Vertebreaker), but Summers slipped out and countered into a Superfreak Slam (Inverted Bulldog). Summers went for the cover, but the Rising Dragons both broke the cover. Nakada hit the Nakada Driver (Michinoku Driver II) on Summers, but DISCO Fox and Donny Chic were in to break the pin.

The four men left standing in the ring went back and forth with punched and kicks. Eventually the Rising Dragons took over with their hard kicks and managed to drop Donny Chic with a double Enzuigiri. The duo then turned their attention to DISCO Fox. The duo lifted DISCO Fox up for a double suplex, but the agile DISCO Fox countered by twisting in midair and taking both of them down with a Double DDT. The Rising Dragons got to their feet, but DISCO Fox had the momentum now and the young wrestler took down both his opponents with a series of dropkicks before suddenly leaping over the top ropes to take out "The Lethal Dragon" with a flying Plancha to the Outside.

Nakada gets to his feet in the ring, but gets drilled by The Parties Over (Double Superkick) from Donny Chic and KC Summers who has re-entered the ring. With his partners out of the way Discotheque looks to finish of Haruko Yamada as they whip him into the corner. Donny Chic spashes him in the corner and then drops down to let his partner use him as a stepping stone, but as KC Summers runs at the corner Yamada counters with a Superkick of his own that nails Summers in mid-air.

Donny Chic is caught off guard by Yamada's counter and gets blasted with a Buzzsaw Kick while he's still on the ground. Donny Chic looks out of it, but Yamada drags him up and lifts him up for the Yamada Bomb (Samoan Driver). DISCO Fox races back in to break up the pin, but he's half a second too late as the referee counts to three.

Akito Nakada [W]Haruko Yamada and Toson Soseki defeat DISCO Fox, [L]Donny Chic, and KC Summers via Pinfall in 15:34

Rating: 51 (D+)

Discotheque recover on the outside as the pair look shocked by their defeat. The Rising Dragons don't say anything, but make it clear that they want a shot at Discotheque's tag titles by staring at the Tag Champions and making a title gesture around their waste as they celebrate their victory in the ring.

Trios Tournament Matches:

Disco Fever vs Team DRAGON

The Secret Service vs Terror Rising I

Lucha International vs Terror Rising II

Heroes United vs The Women of Destruction

Singles Matches

El Hot Dog vs Meido Machine

Darius King vs Sir Scott Seal

A fairly predictable card with the exception of The DRAGON vs Disco Fever match up. This does mean we have three heel teams in the final four, but not everything can be predictable.

The show itself was fine, though not as good as last night's show. I sort of knew that would happen going into it since last night we got to see two title matches where tonight being in the middle of the tournament meant that we didn't really have matches between our top wrestlers. Still I'm hopeful that Night 3 will be better since the remaining teams are all very talented.

Ebi Kadivar/The Master of Disguised signed a written deal with UPJ, so this was his last show here in POW. It's not a huge surprise since he's a lot more over in Japan than he is in the US and his popularity has only increased since he's been touring with Diaspora.

Congratulations to Midnightnick for getting 100% on the predictions this round. Just as a reminder that the "Create-a-Wrestler" prediction contest is starting now and will go on to the end of the year. Though I won't bother including a running total now since we've only had one show that counts toward it.

Predictions:

Midnightnick: 6/6

Tigerkinney: 5/6

Zergon: 5/6

Jingo: 5/6

MJStark: 4/6

Smurphy1014: 5/6

1PWfan: 5/6

Occasional Z: 5/6

Tournament Semi-Final:

Lucha International (El Scorcho, Sky Panther, and El Estandar)

vs

Terror Rising (Dread Nocturne, Frightening, and Scaremare)

The Semi-Finals of the Chaos Tournament features a big matchup between Lucha International and Terror Rising. Dread Nocturne has looked dominant ever since he debuted in POW and captured the Grand Title, but tonight he's facing off with the former Grand champion Sky Panther once again.

El Scorcho has been wanting a shot at the Grand title for some time and with the help of his tag partner and the PWI star El Estandar could put himself in line for a shot by beating the Grand Champion and Terror Rising. Meanwhile the sinister duo of Dreamscape are longing for one more shot at the Tag Titles and a win over the Slo-Mo Dojo would certainly boost their resume.

Only one of these teams will move on to the finals of the Torneo de Los trios, find out which one tonight at Torneo de los Trios Night Three!

Tournament Semi-Final:

Team DRAGON (Akito Nakada, Haruko Yamada, and "Lethal Dragon" Toson Soseki)

vs

The Women of Destruction (Alexia Dynamite, Mio Nawabe, and WMD)

The second Semi-Final match of the Trios Tournament will feature two experienced no-nonsense teams who are willing to do what it takes to win.

Team DRAGON have come to the Torneo de Los Trios to show just why they've achieved international fame and success. They have done just that as they defeated the Hollywood Heroes on Night One and knocked off the Tag Team champions when they defeated Disco Fever Night Two. Will Team DRAGON win gold in yet another company by becoming the Trios Tournament Champions?

Mio Nawabe and WMD share some similarities with Team DRAGON as the two are an experienced team who were trained and wrestled for many years in Japan. The Women of Destruction are joined by former Grand Champion Alexia Dynamite who is eager to put herself back into the title hunt. Will the Women of Destruction's reign of destruction continue?

Luchador Challenge:

"The Amazing" Hombre Arana vs Xero

Hombre Arana and Xero are two of the brightest young Luchadors to come out of Mexico in many years, but the two work for rival companies and have never wrestled against one another one on one.

Only one of these massively talented young Luchadors can come out on top in what is sure to be an exciting battle. Watch them in action at the Torneo de Los Trios Night Three!

Non-Title: Tag Team Match

Discotheque (Donny Chic and KC Summers) vs The Outbreak (Biohazard and Ferocious CHI)

Discotheque was shocked when they were defeated last night by Team DRAGON, but they'll need to be focused tonight as they go up in an impromptu non-title match against the two newest members of Terror Rising.

Both teams have had less then twenty four hours to prepare for this match, but neither team can afford to not be focused. The Outbreak would be instant tag title contenders with a win over the champions, while Discotheque will no doubt want to rebound after losing to team DRAGON. Which team will come out on top? Find out at Torneo de Los Trios Night Three!

Singles Match

DISCO Fox vs Meido Machine

DISCO Fox and Meido Machine are two of the fastest rising young wrestlers in POW, but tonight they'll meet for the first time in singles action. Will the funky DISCO Fox juke and jive his way to victory or will the bizzare Meido Machine claim victory for himself? Find out at Torneo de los Trios Night Three!

Tag Team Match

The Secret Service (Agent X and Oliver Owens the 7th) vs The Throwbacks (Lt. Geoffrey C. Westminster and the Highwayman) w/ Sir Scott Seal

The Secret Service and the Throwbacks have met in the ring against one each other several times in the last few months and it was the Secret Service who would ultimately knock the Throwbacks out of the Trios Tournament, but will Agent X and Oliver Owens the 7th be able to come out on top again after the departure of Owens longtime tag team partner the Master of Disguise? The remaining members of the Secret Service will have to work well as a team if they hope to win, especially with Sir Scott Seal lurking at ringside.

Predictions:

The Secret Service vs The Throwbacks

DISCO Fox vs Meido Machine

Hombre Arana vs Xero

Non-Title:

Discotheque vs The Outbreak

Tournament Semi-Finals:

Team DRAGON vs The Women of Destruction

Lucha International vs Terror Rising

Tournament Finals:

Team Dragon or The Women of Destruction vs Lucha International or Terror Rising
