Steel Tycoon, Franco Lambert

Welcome to the American Pro Wrestling Federation. This place was once the premier wrestling promotion in America. It was the biggest and it was the best. This was the place were the best wrestlers came to hone their craft and show off their skills. Opened in 1969 by wealthy steel tycoon Franco Lambert, the promotion went on to rapid success and glory. Franco lead the American Pro Wrestling Federation with his wallet. Winning the APWF Heavyweight Title meant you were the best in the business. Spending big money on names like Micky Starr, Dan Stone and George DeColt gave this place an aura that only the best pro wrestlers were found here, and only the best were kept around. For a few months the American Pro Wrestling Federation was the biggest promotion in America. There was nothing close to working for the APWF for a professional wrestler. They were the pinnacle, the chieftain, the peak of the mountain. As the old saying goes, the bigger they are, the harder they fall... and boy did they fall hard.

APWF Stars Micky Starr, Dan Stone and George Decolt

In 1972 a young up-start businessman by the name of Richard Eisen decided he would not only take on the American Pro Wrestling Federation, he would destroy it. Eisen and a few financial backers opened the Supreme Wrestling Federation and pillaged reigning APWF Heavyweight champion, Micky Starr. Starr was signed to the first ever exclusive contract in professional wrestling, meaning Micky Starr became the sole property of Supreme. Many wrestlers soon followed suit and soon the ranks of the APWF were waning. The biggest superstars left the American Pro Wrestling Federation for the greener pastures of Supreme. The Lambert family declared open war with Supreme. Moves were made by both sides, but the end result was always the same. Supreme raged on and continued to climb the ladder until it was undoubtedly the number one professional wrestling promotion in America. Things were looking grim for the APWF and things began to look even worse for the man that paved the way, Franco Lambert.

Steel Industry Collapse!

In 1975 the steel industry tanked, hard. Thousands of men lost their jobs and millions of dollars vanished overnight. Steel barons and workers alike were lining up at the unemployment line together. Franco Lambert had lost just about everything within a couple of days, the only business that was left running was Lambert Research and Development. Millions of Franco’s hard earned dollars were lost. Most of his steel business was sold off for a measly percentage of what it was worth. Many wondered how Franco would rebuild his empire. Industry insiders knew that it would take a bold move and quite a large sum of money to get the now fledgling steel business back into the black. What industry insiders didn’t plan on was Franco selling his other businesses. Franco sold his Lambert R&D research for small amounts of cash to make ends meet. The over complex computer programming research carried out at Lambert R&D was sold to a young nerd called Gates and the redundant VHS recording device developed by Lambert R&D was sold to the Japanese. It was the buyer of the struggling APWF that peaked interest from many people however, as Franco’s only son Terry Lambert cashed in the rather large family trust fund and purchased the promotion outright. Could Terry Lambert be the saving grace that both Franco and the APWF required? Only time would tell.

The new owner of the APWF, Terry Lambert

Nowadays one can only describe the APWF as a living hell hole. A place where tensions rise rapidly and friendships are tested and broken within weeks. A personal hell for most folk that go through these doors. The initial hope and faith that was shown in Terry Lambert when he first bought the APWF was quickly replaced with despair and frustration. Terry almost immediately turned his back on the people that help build the American Pro Wrestling Federation. Dan Stone and George DeColt were sent packing back to Canada, Pierce Holt was paralysed and Preston Holt was quickly shunned from the promotion. The one shining light still remaining at the APWF, Sam Stragavelli, has publicly stated he wants to leave the American Pro Wrestling Federation and Terry Lambert behind unless there are some drastic changes. Add to the fact that Stragavelli is good friends with Supreme spearhead Micky Starr and the writing is clearly on the wall. Things need to drastically change at the APWF. Whether or not Terry Lambert will notice this before it’s too late is still yet to be seen. We’re now entering 1977 with Supreme still glowing brightly while making all its rivals burn out. Many wonder if the former powerhouse, the American Pro Wrestling Federation, can return to its former glory or if in one years time we’ll only be able to talk about the The American Pro Wrestling Federation as history.

Franco Lambert

Franco Lambert had seen many strange things in his life. He’d been brought up in a dysfunctional Italian family heavily entrenched in the underbelly of society. For years Franco saw his older brothers and cousins enter the life of crime and ultimately pay the price, either with jail time or their lives. Franco had a hard time shaking off that ‘underworld’ tag when he first went into the steel industry and when he opened up a professional wrestling company, many people were wondering if it’s sole purpose was laundering dirty money. What most people don’t know about Franco Lambert is he’s spent his whole life trying to get away from the underworld links his family is known for. But there are some things in life that you just can’t shake, and family is one of them.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/TerryLambert.jpg

Terry Lambert

Franco Lambert was worried, really worried. His son, Terry Lambert, has brought the APWF using the family trust fund set for him as a child. Franco only sold the American Pro Wrestling Federation to help pay off the debts from the steel industry crash of ‘75. Franco had meticulously planned out future APWF events for his son, had shown him how to book things and control the backstage situation. Franco had tried his best to prepare young Terry for the trials and tribulations that lay ahead. After all the hours spent planning and the many more spent drilling information into his son, Terry ignored almost all of what Franco had taught him. Terry was intelligent, under all the provado and ego. Terry was a young man willing to take risks and make decisions. For the many strengths Terry had, his biggest weakness was ego. The ego of Terry Lambert could very well be the ending for the American Pro wrestling Federation

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/RichardEisen_77alt2.jpg

SWF Owner, Richard Eisen

Franco had envisioned Terry taking the APWF back to the top and eventually knocking Supreme off their high horse. The Lambert family name would finally be redeemed, leaving the Eisen name in ruin. Richard Eisen had proven to be a dangerous enemy and knocking him down to the bottom of the ladder would be sweetfor Franco. The reality that was facing Franco Lambert was a promotion in ruin. Terry and his high school buddies were running the APWF even further into the ground. Sullying the family name and destroying the legacy that Franco was to leave behind. Franco knew there was a sure fire way to get Terry to come around. It may go against everything Franco has been trying to avoid his whole life, but for the good of the Lambert name and Franco’s legacy he’ll go through with it. Franco felt he had one choice left. Franco would return to family. Franco would make the biggest gamble of his life, Franco would bring in the mob.

Mr Giuseppe Lamberti, second in command of the Lombardi crime family has led a life of crime from his early teenage years. Starting with petty theft and various robberies, Lamberti quickly found a home as a standover man for the Lombardi crime syndicate. The whereabouts of Lamberti during his early to late 20’s is unknown following an assault with a deadly weapon on a New York bartender. Most believe Lamberti was sent to Sicily to hone his criminal skills and learn the craft. Returning in the late 50’s Lamberti was detained by customs officials after discovering a large stolen diamond in Lamberti’s luggage during a routine check. Lamberti was convicted of Grand theft and given a 10 year sentence in a maximum security prison. Upon his release Lamberti took a mentoring role in the crime family, running various racketeering fronts and illegal betting operations. During his stint in jail it became clear to law enforcement that Lamberti had shifted away from the brutal beatings carried out in his youth and has moved into a tactician role within the family. Many insiders feel that the New York mafia had orchestrated the steel industry collapse of 1975 as a way to gain valuable property that is seen to be vital to the families future success, although nothing can be proven. Giuseppe has spent the last few years relatively quiet, with only a jaywalking offense and a speeding fine being handed out to the mafia kingpin. Lamberti is currently under investigation for insider trading, racketeering and various drug related incidents, all cases are still ongoing.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/KurtBerkely.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/FrancoLambert.jpg

Kurt Berkely:
“Good evening fans of the American Pro Wrestling Federation. Welcome to Pennsylvania Park. I’m Kurt Berkely and here tonight to help me bring you this fantastic event is Franco Lambert. Evening Franco”

Franco Lambert:
“Night Berk, we’ve got a big night of action for these fans. We’ve got all your favourites wrestling tonight, including two huge matches for our main events.”

Kurt Berkely:
“That’s right Franco. Tonight we’ve got both the Tri State Championship and the World championship being defended as Sam Strong takes on The Stomper and Marcus McKing defends his Heavyweight Championship against long time rival Brutus McBride. It’ll be exciting to see who wins these matches Franco, as all four men have been running riot around here lately.”

Franco Lambert:
“We’re in for some excitement Kurt. Tonight we’ll be opening the show with Farmer Fran taking on young Ty Walls, let’s get straight to the action.”

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/TyWalls.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/_BlankBackground.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/FarmerFran_alt.jpg

Ty Walls vs Farmer Fran

Ty Walls has a massive task standing before him. Farmer Fran weighs in at a massive 450lbs of flesh and clearly is in a very angry mood. Fran has been on a streak lately of totally dominating his opponents with his size and weight advantage. Walls hasn’t been as impressive, being beaten consistently by all comers ranging from The Masked Patriot up to Brutus McBride.

Kurt:
“I do not like the chances of Ty Walls here tonight Franco.”

Franco:
“Don’t write him off just yet Kurt, Fran seems distracted, maybe his run-in with Identity Black last week has him worried, I’ve never seen that type of reaction from Fran.”

Franco:
"Me either Kurt."

Kurt:
“It really was strange, for those who missed Tri State Wrestling two weeks ago Farmer Fran had a run-in with Identity Black after his win over Romeo Heartthrob. Fran looked like he’d seen a ghost and I’ve never seen the big guy move faster to get away from someone.”

Franco:
“He’s not known as the sharpest shovel in the shed Kurt, so Fran may have actually thought Identity Black was a ghost, who knows? These two look ready to rumble Kurt so here we go!”

Most people had written off Ty Walls from the outset and they were completely correct. Walls literally stood no chance as Farmer Fran used his size to throw his much younger opponent around the ring. Walls was eventually put out of his misery by a massive splash from Fran. As soon as the match was over Farmer Fran frantically looked around ringside, almost as if he was expecting to see a ghost.

Winner:
Farmer Fran

The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. This match brought the crowd's mood down. Farmer Fran is improving in Performance skills.

Mark ‘The Lariat’ Krogan and Giant Grimsley w/Rolf Shelton vs Chuck Muncie and Jacoby Jones

A new tag team around the APWF is the mentor/protégé’ pairing of Mark Krogan and Giant Grimsley. Both men are feared hard hitting wrestlers from the Lone Star State. Krogan has recently be hired to give Grimsley the guidance needed to up his game and go to the next level. Rolf Shelton has decided to fund taking these two across the country on a violent tour with hopes to become tag team champions across the entire country.

Kurt:
“If people were writing off Ty Walls, they must be completely disregarding the chances of Muncie and Jones. I’d like to think they’ll compete, but those two would be able to see eye to eye with Grimsley if they were on their partners shoulders. This will be a slaughter Franco.”

Franco:
“His name is Jacoby, even his parents hate him.”

Kurt:
(Chuckling)“Nice to see you rate them Franco, let’s get the dismemberment started.”

In a match that wasn’t even close Giant Grimsley and Mark Krogan dominated the much smaller and less experienced tag team. A big double clothesline nearly took off Jacoby’s skull, and despite trying to keep way from his opponents Chuck Muncie didn’t stand a chance once Grimsley got his hands on him. A quick powerslam and Giant Grimsley had picked up the win.

Winners:
Mark ‘The Lariat’ Krogan and Giant Grimsley

E

Chuck Muncie was really off his game tonight. Giant Grimsley was visibly tiring toward the end. Rolf Shelton did some good work at ringside. The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. This match brought the crowd's mood down. Jacoby Jones is improving in Rumble skills. Jacoby Jones is improving in Performance skills. Mark "The Lariat" Krogan is improving in Technical skills.

Giant Grimsley wasn’t finished with Muncie once the bell was rung, picking up the youngster and repeatedly slamming him into the matt, taking direction from Mark Krogan. Once Krogan was satisfied enough damage was done he lead Giant Grimsley and Rolf Shelton backstage.

Kurt:
“A medic better get out here and check on Muncie, he may be in serious trouble after that assault.”

Franco:
“He’s dead, just bring the body bag and get him out of here.”

Kurt:
“Subtle Franco, how about showing some feelings for a change?”

Franco:
“He teams with a guy called Jacoby, he clearly deserves the beating he just got.”

Kurt:
“There’s something wrong with you Franco.”

The Good Guys(Babyface Dave & Warren Hampton) vs The Heartwrenchers(Romeo Heartthrob & Rudolph Grey)

The team of Babyface Dave and Warren Hampton has recently started to click into high gear. Having teamed on and off for the last year the two made a decision to team up full time and aim to win the APWF Tag Team Titles from The Ayatollah Alliance. They’ve got to prove themselves worthy of the title shot first before taking on Suhail Assanti and Sheik Mustafa. The Heartwrenchers on the other hand have fallen down a peg and in deep trouble. The simmering tension between the two has been brewing for the past few months. Rudolph Grey has been working his magic in the ring and letting Romeo do the talking, but both members of the team feel the other isn’t pulling his weight. Hopefully a win here will put them back on the same page.

Franco:
“I don’t get why they’re called the Heartwrenchers Kurt.”

Kurt:
“Because that’s the name they chose Franco, anyway both teams here are looking for potential title shots at the Ayatollah Alliance. The Ayatollah Alliance won the inaugural APWF Tag Team Title tournament last year, and I hear we’ll be running that event annually due to its success.”

Franco:
“It was good for business from what I’m told. Having that tournament to crown the first ever APWF Tag Team champions made was Christmas for many teams.”

Kurt:
“We’re straight into the action here so let’s focus on the action Franco.”

Both teams here were looking to impress and earn a title shot at the Ayatollah Alliance. Babyface Dave took his brand of hard hitting action straight to Romeo Heartthrob, who retreated to the safety of ringside to protect his face. Heartthrob tagged in Rudolph Grey as soon as the opportunity presented itself and Grey went on a rampage. Keeping Dave down on the ground and wrenching away meant the Grey was able to keep the advantage, and it looked like Grey had the match won with a sleeper hold that was held in tight. Babyface Dave managed to get the hot tag to Warren Hampton, who then proceeded to clean house. Grey tagged in Romeo Heartthrob, who quickly ate a ‘Nice Guys Finish First’ from The Nice Guys and Warren Hampton picked up the win.

Winners:
The Good Guys(Babyface Dave & Warren Hampton)

Sheik Mustafa vs The Masked Patriot

The Masked Patriot has recently been teaming with young Sam Stragavelli. The team has been impressive, despite the tainted loss in the finals of the Tag Team Title Tournament to The Ayatollah Alliance. Many people believe had Terry Lambert and The Brooklyn Punk not interfered in the finals that Sam and Patriot would have gone on to win the entire tournament. Not ones to let things die, Terry and Punk have been a thorn in the side of both Patriot and Sam since they were knocked out of the Tag Team Title Tournament.

Kurt:
“We’ve got a grudge match here Franco. Both these men competed in the finals of the Tag Team Title Tournament and had it not been for the interference by your son and his chum the Tag Team Titles would be around the waist of a different team. Feel good about that Franco?”

Franco:
“The father should not be responsible for the actions of the son, it’s not like I went in and interfered Kurt, Christ. Get on with the action man.”

Kurt:
“whatever you say Franco, get ready for some wild action fans.”

This was a battle between two men who absolutely despise everything about each other. Neither men were willing to give an inch before a test of strength went the way of The Masked Patriot. Patriot kept up the attack, launching lefts and rights at Sheik before taking him down with a big clothesline. Not to be outdone, Sheik managed to comeback and keep Patriot in a variety of holds including the dreaded Jihad Stretch. It looked to be all over for Patriot as Sheik began wrenching on the abdomen of Patriot, but Patriot used all his strength and flipped Sheik over his shoulder and to the matt. Just as Patriot began to build some momentum he was clipped behind the ears by The Brooklyn Punk while the referee had his back turned. As Patriot was distracted by Punk, Sheik Mustafa went for the Arabian facecrusher but it was reversed by Patriot into his patented Americana Slam for the victory. All Punk could do was look on as Patriot picked up the win.

As The Masked Patriot was celebrating his win and keeping an eye on The Brooklyn Punk he was taken down from behind by Terry Lambert. Lambert laid the boots into the fallen Patriot as The Brooklyn Punk entered the ring. Punk lifted Patriot off the ground and slammed the masked superstar back to the matt. Terry Lambert spat on Patriot as the two men left the ring to a chorus of boos from the APWF crowd.

The Mad Hungarian vs Identity Black

Identity Black is a cult favourite of the independent wrestling scene. He has famously carried on a blood feud with The Masked Patriot for nearly a decade following the famous flag incident. Black has recently been involved with Farmer Fran, although not many people know what Black has done to upset Fran. The Mad Hungarian has been working his way up the mountain, with solid wins over Terry Carmen, Trent peak and Warren Hampton lately which has put him in a good position to challenge for the APWF Tri State Championship, currently held by Sam Stragavelli.

Kurt:
“This will be interesting Franco, both men have been on a roll lately. Black has big wins over Sam Stragavelli and Babyface Dave. I’d be interested to see just how these two have planned to beat the other.”

Franco:
“Who plans how to beat someone up Kurt? Just go out there and win, that’s all both of them would be thinkin about.”

Something clicked between these two, which made a match between two bad guys unique in a way. It doesn’t happen often however without someone to cheer for the crowd was a bit dead. What was clear to the everyone in attendance is Identity Black is one scary competitor. This was not as close as the announce team were suggesting at the beginning of the match. Black used his clear size advantage to outclass The Mad Hungarian. His array of power moves dictated the pace of the match while allowing Black to take as little damage as possible. The Mad Hungarian’s tricky tactics didn’t work either, Identity Black didn’t fall for the old ‘I’m injured let me be’ routine that The Hungarian is famous for. Instead Black lifted The Hungarian right off the matt and choke slammed him for this win.

Winner:
Identity Black

Identity Black and The Mad Hungarian have great chemistry, and it showed in their performances. The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost.

While Identity Black was surveying the destruction he’d cause to The Man Hungarian a loud yell could be heard coming from the entrance curtain. Farmer Fran was standing there with a microphone in hand.

Farmer Fran:
“Hey, yeenoogeingtafuulmii, ALIEN!”

Fran pauses for a reaction, but not one damn person in the arena can understand what Fran has to say and they remain silent. So Fran carries on

Farmer Fran:
“Neeeectswiikmeeccoisunweeelerruurveiinddwillgiitya!”

No one can comprehend Fran, so they just give a small cheer. Identity Black just stands stoically in the ring, ready for whatever Fran will throw at him. Nothing comes out of it however, as Farmer Fran walks back through the curtain and out of sight.

Franco:
“What the hell did he say?”

Kurt:
“We’ll never know.”

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/SamStragavelli.jpg

Young Sam Stragavelli walks out from the backstage curtain to rousing support from the APWF fans. The cheers don’t stop for the statuesque former bodybuilder until he enters the ring with microphone in hand.

Sam Stragavelli:
“Ladies and gentlemen, tonight I’m defending my newly won Tri State Championship against The Stomper. Now I’ve got no beef with The Somperino, but I’m going to run through him like a freight train. He’s got no chance, at all, of beating this psychical specimen. Sorry Stomperino, nothing against you personally, but you’re going to lose.”

The fans eat up every word that comes out of Stragavelli’s mouth. The guy has a direct line to the crowd and they hang on every word he says.

Sam Stragavelli:
“Not to say that the Tri State Championship isn’t important, but I’ve got bigger fish to fry. Terry Lambert and The Brooklyn Punk, apparently New York’s Finest.”

The deafening chorus of boos that comes from the APWF crowd paint the picture perfectly, New York’s Finest are the most hated tag team here at the APWF.

Sam Stragavelli:
“Now, I believe I should be standing here as a double champion. Tri State Championship over one shoulder, Tag Team title over the other. But Terry, you and your pal changed that. I had Mustafa down for the count and you two had to get your snivelling little noses in my business. I won’t stand for it Terry, believe me, you’ll get ONE WARNING TERRY, ONE WARNING. NEXT TIME WILL BE THE LAST TIME. BY LORD ME AND THE MASKED PATRIOT WILL LAUNCH YOU RIGHT INTO THE BROOKLYN RIVER!”

The intensity levels went straight to 10. Sam is known for doing this, and the crowd eat it up every time.

Sam Stragavelli:
“SO TONIGHT I’LL DEFEND THE TRI STATE CHAMPIONSHIP. BELIEVE ME TERRY IF YOU GET INVOLVED, GOD AND THESE PEOPLE AS MY WITNESS I WILL STRIKE YOU DOWN!”

Message sent loud and clear. Terry Lambert and The Brooklyn Punk must be crazy if they plan on interfering with Sam Stragavelli again.

Franco:
“In case you didn’t hear Stragavelli, he wants my son to stay out of his business. Or else.”

Kurt:
“Will Terry stay out of it Franco?”

Franco:
“My son is a thick headed buffoon, give him 10 minutes to digest what Sam said and he’ll be down here.”

Kurt:
“Hopefully things don’t get to explosive down here, We’ll await the entrance of The Stomper and the Tri State Championship match will be decided.”

Stragavelli won the late October and has yet to defend the Championship due to the tag title league. He’s sure to be wanting to get at least one defence down, as the challenge of taking down Giant Grimsley for the title took a lot out of Stragavelli. The Stomper on the other hand has had a great run of matches, with big wins over Sheik Mustafa, Suhail Assanti and The Masked Patriot to gather some much needed momentum. Stomper certainly isn’t as charismatic as Stragavelli and the fans don’t like him as much, but he can out wrestle just about everyone on the roster. He’s hoping to show that tonight.

Kurt:
“Franco, you got a hot tip for this one?”

Franco:
“Stragavelli runs through Stomper, the runs backstage and hits my idiot son over the head with the Championship, sound good to you Kurt?”

Kurt:
“Will I get fired if I agree with you?”

Franco:
“Yes”

Kurt:
“Then that’s a terrible prediction Franco.”

Franco:
“You’re fired anyway”

Stragavelli and Stomper locked horns immediately, with Sam winning the test of strength and pushing Stomper into the turnbuckle. Stomper uses his quick wits and ring presence though and manages to catch Sam off guard and wrap him up for a short minute. Stomper manages to keep pressing the advantage, just using his smarts and speed to dodge any of Stragavelli’s big offence. It was always a matter of when, not if, Stomper got caught and it happened with a brutal looking lariat that nearly took the head off of The Stomper. Stragavelli followed up with a big splash, but was only able to get a two count. Stragavelli pressed the advantage for the next few minutes, wearing down Stomper with a series of blows to the head and body, normally followed by a big clothesline or boot to get Stomper to the ground. Stragavelli always had one weakness and that was his ego. Stragavelli played to the crowd for a little too long, which allowed Stomper to gather his senses, compose himself and catch Stragavelli from behind with a big running bulldog. Stomper gathered momentum by, well, stomping out his frustrations on Stragavelli and looked to have the match won when he locking in a painful submission manoeuvre. Stragavelli looked like tapping once or twice, but was able to reach the ropes. Just as the fans thought The Stomper had Stragavelli where he wanted him the comeback started. Stragavelli caught Stomper big a big boot and looked to be gaining a large amount of momentum.

Kurt:
“It didn’t even take 10 minutes Franco, here come The Brooklyn Punk from the backstage area”

Franco:
“I’m surprised it didn’t take them longer to comprehend what Stragavelli was saying, kids, always full of surprises.”

The Brooklyn Punk came wandering down to the ring from the backstage area. Cockily pointing up at Stragavelli and wobbling his head while shouting certain expletives and taunting Stragavelli. It did the trick though, both Stragavelli and the referee were distracted enough by Punk. Stragavelli took a few steps back to let referee Jeff Hanson take care of Punk. This was a costly mistake however, as the crowd urged Stragavelli to turn around he backed up straight into Terry Lambert. Lambert must’ve jumped through the crowd while The Brooklyn Punk had everyone distracted. Lambert immediately set upon Stragavelli with vicious punches and kicks, before whipping Sam into the ropes and hitting a big Terry House Special. Terry dragged The Stomper over the prone body of Stragavelli and left the ring, jumping through the crowd and heading backstage, the damage done. Referee Jeff Hanson spun around once Punk left the scene and counted the pinfall victory to The Stomper.

The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. The performance of Sam Stragavelli stood out as being good. This match brought the crowd's mood down. Sam Stragavelli is improving in Performance skills.

Franco:
“He’s got a big set of brass ones, I can tell you that. He certainly gets that from his mother, I would’ve used my smarts and stayed the hell away from Stragavelli.”

Kurt:
“I would’ve done the same thing Franco. I would not like to be in Terry Lamberts shoes for the next few weeks.”

Franco:
“These two have caught the ire of one crazy madman Kurt, looks like they aren’t done either as they’re coming back to the ring.”

Terry Lambert had walked around the crowd and jumped the railing to stand alongside The Brooklyn Punk. Both men glare at the fallen Stragavelli with a look of pure hatred on their faces. They turn to each other, give a look of approval over what they’ve just done, nod their heads and charge back into the ring.

Franco:
“Another thing about my son, he’ll always have the final say.”

Kurt:
“We’re going to need someone to come out here and stop this pretty soon, these two have a crazed look in their eyes.”

Both men took turns in holding up a beaten down Sam Stragavelli. The longer the assault went on, the harder it was for Punk and Terry to keep the dead weight of Stragavelli on his feet. Terry slapped Stragavelli around while shouting out “not so tough now, are ya Sammy?” while Brooklyn Punk just bellowed with laughter and excitement. A prone Stomper came to and tried to hold Brooklyn Punk by his ankles to allow Stragavelli to get away, but was brutally kicked to the face, picked up and slammed back down to the matt for his troubles. When they were satisfied with the carnage they’d created Terry Lambert and The Brooklyn Punk high fived and headed to the backstage area.

C

Sam Stragavelli underperformed.

Marcus McKing vs Brutus McBride

APWF Heavyweight Title

Marcus McKing, current American Pro Wrestling Federation Champion. Having beaten ‘Crippler’ Ray Kingman late in October 1976 to begin his second reign as champion helped solidify McKings standing at the top of the APWF ladder. Helping McKing along the way is his strong friendship with fellow New York’s Finest members Terry Lambert and The Brooklyn Punk. The loser leaves town match in which McKing defeated Ray Kingman marked the first title match that New York’s Finest didn’t have a say in the outcome of the match. This went a long way ‘making’ McKing a legitimate threat to everyone in the APWF, as he now doesn’t require the back up of Lambert and Punk to make his mark.

Brutus McBride, formerly of the Supreme Wrestling Federation, has made an instant splash when he pinned McKing in his debut match in November. Since then McKing has verbally ran down the chances of McBride getting another win of the Champion. Many people think McBride has the power and toughness to do some real damage to McKing. The only thing McBride lacks is self belief. He’s bought into the words of McKing and losing in the tag team tournament’s first round with another heavyweight APWF Wrestler, Farmer Fran, didn’t do any favours to the confidence of McBride. While many think he can find that confidence and take the fight to McKing, many more are left wondering if he has the mental strength to match his physical strength.

Kurt:
“Here we go Franco, APWF Heavyweight Title match. I’m tipping McKing, McBride just doesn’t seem to be winning matches the way he should lately.”

Franco:
“I’m going to tip McBride, doesn’t take much to turn things around here Kurt. I’ve known Marcus since he was knee high to a grasshopper, he’ll whine his way out of this before the night is up, guarantee it.”

McKing makes his elaborate entrance, long flowing cape and crown just help to highlight the APWF Heavyweight Championship around his waist. McKing graciously walks down the ramp, staring at McBride the entire time. After disrobing and doing a few last minute stretches it looks like the title match is underway. These two beat each other around the ring for the first few minutes, neither man giving up and ground and going full out attack. First big move of the match comes when McBride manages to lift a running McKing over his head and slam him down to the matt. Not one to let an opponent rest for long McBride takes the fight to the ground, punching away at McKing. It’s not long before McKing is able to poke Brutus in the eye and gain some much needed breathing room. McKing uses this time to gather his wits and plan out his next attack, which turns out to be a running knee to the head. This knocked McBride silly. McKing went on the attack, using headlocks and stretches to cut off the air flow to McBrides head. McBride looked to be out of it, but manages to raise his hand at the 2 count to remain fighting in this match.

Kurt:
“Looks like McBride is starting to gain some momentum here Franco.”

Franco:
“I’d say the end is near for McKing, as McBride looks to be on the comeback trail.”

Franco could not have been more wrong. While McBride did start on the comeback trail, some underhanded tactics by McKing saw him untie the turnbuckle cover and expose the metal clip below that. This would come into play later, but a deliberate knee to the groin of McBride that went undetected by the referee allowed McKing to lift McBride onto his shoulders and drop the heavyweight head first into the exposed clip, McKing immediately went for the pinfall and got it.

Winner and reigning APWF Heavyweight Champion:
Marcus McKing

Kurt:
“Well McKing has done it, I’m not even sure Brutus saw the exposed turnbuckle before it knocked him out cold.”

Franco:
“Just as I thought he was on the comeback trail, McKing cheats to win.”

Kurt:
“And it looks like McKing isn’t done yet Franco.”

Franco:
Not again Kurt, we’ve seen this once tonight already.”

McKing clearly wasn’t finished with McBride. He immediately began stomping away on McBride. Just when we thought McKing was finished stomping McBride into next week he began to wrench away at the head and neck of the prone McBride. Letting out all his frustrations on McBride, McKing began to yell as he wrenched away at McBrides head. Something caught his attention though, as a big figure began running down to the ring from the backstage area.

Kurt:
“Who the hell is that Franco, it doesn’t look like anyone I recognise.”

Franco:
“I know exactly who that is Kurt, I hope he’s here to scare off McKing.”

As the large figure slid under the ropes he immediately unloaded a barrage of punches on McKing and whipped him out of the ring. The fans were going nuts, as this man is another former SWF grappler.

Franco:
“Thank god for R.J Danzig!”

Kurt:
“I know who that is now Franco, this guy is a legend. He’s trained more wrestlers than anyone can count!”

Franco:
“Nice to see someone here that’ll stand up to McKing, hopefully he sticks around Kurt.”

The show ends with R.J Danzig checking on the fallen Brutus McBride. Danzig helps McBride to his feet and helps him walk backstage.

Excellent first show. I'll reiterate what Midnightnick and Jaded said - nice storylines and I love your use of Farmer Fran!

I also enjoyed the banter between Franco and Kurt and the background of the tag tournament. Interested to see where you head from here!

Franco: “I hear ya, I’ll have to have a sit down with Terry about this. The kid had worked here in the past, just such a waste. Couldn’t fathom it happening to anyone here. Talk to you soon buddy. Bye”

Franco Lambert had just received a phone call from HWA road agent ‘Old Man Rivers’. One of their young wrestlers, Greg Timmins, had been found dead in his hotel room. Word from the Old Man is there was a copious amount of drugs in the room and the police force aren’t investigating any further. The death will be ruled as an accident. The fate of Greg Timmins is one that faces many professional wrestlers, especially the ones that can’t seem to handle the limelight and fall into the wrong crowd. Franco had heard it all before. Hot young prospect starts his career with a bang, then fizzles out to drugs and alcohol before ultimately leading to crashing and burning. For every young wrestler that goes on to be a star, the Sam Stragavelli’s or Dan Stone’s there are cases like Greg Timmins.

It’s the one thing that Franco feared most. Terry was known as a wild child, one that was brash, selfish and disrespectful of everyone else’s opinions on his behaviour. Franco Lambert was scared that the fate of Greg Timmins was destined to become the fate of Terry. Deep within his heart Franco knew that a chat with Terry would change nothing. Terry would disregard Franco’s opinion and ignore all advice, just like he’d done in the past. Franco had to try anyway, this was his hail mary play. There was only one option left if this didn’t work and Franco Lambert wanted to avoid that option at all costs. Franco’s final option could not only bring the downfall of the APWF, but could bring the downfall of the only thing Franco holds dear, his family and their legacy.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/FrancoLambert.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/TerryLambert.jpg

Franco:
“Terry, sit down for a minute I’ve got some news.”

Terry:
“What could possibly be important enough to have a sit down meeting here Pops?”

Franco:
“Remember Greg Timmins, worked a few matches over the past year and went to Harlem after he left here?”

Terry:
“Oh yeah, I remember that little drugged up worm, which crack tart has he hit up this time?”

Franco:
“He’s dead Terry, drug overdose in a hotel room. The police can’t even say how long he’s been dead for, it’s just tragic.”

Terry:
“No great loss Pops, he was a shrivelling little junkie that ruined everything he had going. Loser death for a complete loser.”

Franco:
“Have some empathy for his family Terry.”

Terry:
“Why? It makes no difference so me and any way, shape or form. Did you really drag me away from the boys for that?

Franco:
“Yeah I did Terry, I did because I’m worried that you and the boys are going down the same path. A whole bunch of people hate you guys and you three just keep on going”

Terry:
“I’ll say this once and once only, stay the hell out of my business. I’m not some loser like Timmins. Most people that hate us are just jealous, we’ve got everything they want. Who are you to say S**t like that to me? You’re not the boss any more Pops, I am. Who the hell are you? Get the hell out of here before I beat you down for saying s**t like that.”

Franco:
“Whoa Terry, relax. Not saying that you or the boys are losers, just saying that path is an easy one to follow in life, hell, I know all about it. Trying to turn things around and compete in this world should be what you’re focusing on, not drug filled nights with wild parties and loose women”

Terry:
“You jealous to old man? Good, that’s because you’re a loser that lost everything and had to rely on me to bail you out. You should be grateful and just keep your mouth shut.”

Franco:
“Nice Terry.”

Terry:
“Piss off Pops. I'm out”

Franco Lambert had tried, and failed, to have a serious conversation with his son. Terry Lambert had angrily left the room in a huff, unable to comprehend that his father didn't believe in him. Terry had gone his usual route of attacking Franco over the collapse of Lambert Inc. Franco had some serious thinking to do, although he was really only working himself to make the phone call he never wanted to make. Franco sat in the armchair after failing to reason with Terry. He knew the only option would be the hardest phone call he’d ever have to make. Franco would make the call after the show tonight. The phone call that would change everything. The phone call that the Franco family will depend on.

Kurt Berkely:
“Good evening fans of the American Pro Wrestling Federation. Welcome to Pennsylvania Park. I’m Kurt Berkely and commentating with me tonight is none other than Franco Lambert. Hello Franco.”

Franco Lambert:
“Hello Kurt, can’t wait to see the fallout tonight from R.J Danzig’s debut two weeks ago. He’s a firecracker and I doubt he’ll stay quiet and tolerate the actions of New York’s Finest.”

Kurt:
“Marcus McKing should tread lightly for the next few weeks Franco. I wouldn’t want to have Danzig AND McBride hunting me down.”

Franco:
“I doubt it even fazes McKing, I’ve known the kid since he was a boy. Trust me, he barely even knows the amount of trouble he’s in.”

Kurt:
“We’ll watch this story unfold as we go on Franco. Up next we’ve got a new team, Lords of War, making their debut and Muncie & Jones.”

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/ChuckMuncie.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/JacobyJones.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/_BlankBackground.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/WarlordAgony1977.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/WarlordPain1977.jpg

Muncie & Jones (Chuck Muncie and Jacoby Jones) vs The Lords Of War(Warlord Pain and Warlord Agony)

Chuck Muncie and Jacoby Jones, two men how have more thumbs between them than they do tag team wins kept up their terrible record of being competitive. They faced off against a new team hired by the APWF management, Warlord Agony and Warlord Pain. Two young men still in their teens that have trained together for years.

Kurt:
“These two monsters in front of us are still teenagers, I’d hate to face them in 5 years time when they’re peaking Franco.”

Franco:
“They’re teenagers? Wow, all tag teams of the APWF will have to be on notice, these two are huge.”

The menacing duo work together like a team that has been together for 10 years. Give them a few years and they’ll be unstoppable. They certainly work better as a team than Muncie and Jones, and they’d undoubtedly be better singles wrestlers to. Agony and Pain dominated both Muncie and Jones, eventually deciding to end the match with a big double chokeslam dubbed ‘The Art of War’ by Kurt Berkely. This couldn’t even be called a squash match, more like a complete demolition.

Winners:
The Lords of War

Magnum Johnson vs The Mad Hungarian

Magnum Johnson, a recent recruit to the APWF when Terry Lambert liked what he saw at a Harlem Wrestling show. While not a spectacular wrestler, choosing to use weapons instead of DDTs, Magnum can out talk almost anyone in America. His streetwise gangster character has really been breaking ground, it’s certainly something the APWF crowd aren’t used to, but are slowly getting behind. Johnson has had to take the character down a few notches, as the APWF is nothing like HWA when it comes to risky characters. The Mad Hungarian on the other hand is a seasoned veteran here. Coming off a loss to Identity Black he’s looking to regain some lost momentum and challenge The Stomper for the APWF Tri-State Championship.

Kurt:
“Magnum Johnson has been impressive as of late Franco, I can’t help but think he’s going to move on to bigger and better things rather quickly around here.”

Franco:
“I’m not too sure Kurt, he’s got the talk, but can he walk the walk? I’m not seeing anything special. Then again, I said the same thing about McKing!”

Kurt:
“Clearly you have no expert opinion on the matter then.”

Franco:
“That’s one way to put it, jerk.”

The Mad Hungarian used his wits and size advantage to take the fight right to Magnum, even getting a little ‘mad’ in the process. His patented ‘yelling out random Hungarian sayings’ crept its way into the match as it went on, which always gets a rise out of our crowd. Most people thought Magnum had the match won after a big stalling suplex took the wind out of The Hungarian, but he was able to kick out at two. He then yelled out “szia” as he kicked out, much to the dismay of the crowd. The boos didn’t stop for Hungarian, as he fought his way back into the match. The Mad Hungarian pushed his advatanges, mainly size and experience to outwit his unproven opponent. The Mad Hungarian managed to finished off Magnum with a big ’Hungarian style DDT’ while yelling ”olvasd el a háború”.

Winner:
The Mad Hungarian

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/FarmerFran.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/JohnnyBoyTucker.jpg

Farmer Fran walks out through the backstage curtain and pauses up on the entrance aisle. Fran stops and looks around at the crowd while nodding his head in approval of the cheers he’s getting from the APWF fans. He turns his head to the side and a slight looks of confusion comes over his face, almost as if he was expecting someone to be standing right beside him. Fran looks back at the curtain, seemingly waiting for someone to come walking through the curtain. After it’s made clear the whoever he’s expecting isn’t coming Fran walks back and pokes his head through the curtain. With a lighting quick movement Fran grabs at something through the curtain. The look Farmer Fran flashes to the crowd hint that he’s caught something and soon enough Fran drags out a young man dressed in blue overalls, much the same as Fran’s. The two walk down to the ring, jokingly pushing each other around and play fighting before the climb into the ring where Fran is given a microphone.

Farmer Fran:
“Iiiteeeldyersooo, hireeeessbemecoissuunn.”

The crowd still can’t understand a word Fran says, so they cheer along with him anyway.

Fran:
“geevveeerweeerrmwwiilcuumeetooiim”

Fran hands the microphone over to the young man.

Johnny Boy Fran:
“Right on Uncle, that’s fer the kind welcome and hello to all you people! My name is Johnny Boy Fran!”

The crowd cheer, secretly hoping Fran doesn’t get the microphone back.

Johnny Boy:
“Now I know you folk are having a hard time understandin me uncle, but I’m here to help with that, ya see I’ve grown up understandin what goes on down south, and when me uncle called me up and said come up to the big smoke I had no choice, so here I am!”

Kurt:
“Farmer Fran has called in an interpreter, thank you jesus”

Johnny Boy:
“We’ve been having some trouble up here it seems. Seems me uncle has got into a bit of a wrestle with some extra terreserally, errr, what was that word again Uncle?”

Fran yelled something, only Johnny boy seemed to understand it.

Johnny Boy:
“Extra Terrestrial. That’s right, thanks Uncle. Yeah, this extra terrestrial has been spookin me Uncle and I’ve come to put a stop to it. So Extra Terrestrial, come out here and answer for your actions! I know tonight me Uncle was meant to team up with The Stomper to tussle with the Extra Terrestrial and The Giant, I’m saying throw me in there and make it a grappling match between 6 of us!”

The crowd cheer rather loudly. Sure enough The Stomper makes his way out with his newly won APWF Tri State Championship around his waist and it looks like this tag match just became a 6 man.

Identity Black, Giant Grimsley & Mark ‘The Lariat’ Krogan vs Farmer Fran, Johnny Boy Fran & The Stomper

An all in brawl between Farmer Fran and Identity Black has been brewing for a few weeks. It’s something the APWF crowd has been looking forward to. Clearly two of the largest men in the company beating the living snot out of each other can only be a good thing. The crowd didn’t have to wait long as both men began to circle each other in the middle of the ring. It was Fran who started with a bigger bang, knocking Black to the ground with a big clothesline. Fran stomped away at Black while yelling out to the crowd, again only Johnny boy Fran understood what he was saying.

Kurt:
“I still can’t understand him, nice to know that one person in the world does though.”

Franco:
“I thought Johnny Boy looked like a small guy before, but he’s huge. Standing next to Farmer Fran though makes even Sam Stragavelli look like a child.”

Kurt:
“He’s a massive member of the APWF roster that’s for sure. Let’s see what he’s got in stall for Black.”

Kurt Berkely hadn’t seen that Identity Black had actually tagged out to Giant Grimsley. The APWF crowd salivated at the thought of Grimsley vs Fran, but Fran sized up Grimsley and decided that Grimsley would be the perfect person for Johnny Boy to test his strength against. Johnny Boy didn’t want to disappoint his uncle, and took the fight straight to Grimsley. Just as it looked like Grimsley was about to be knocked off his feet he whipped Johnny Boy into the ropes and nearly booted his head right off. Johnny Boy was clearly shaken and Grimsley went on to dominate Johnny Boy over the next few minutes. Johnny Boy managed to squirm out of a violent iron claw submission and tag in The Stomper. The Stomper went straight for the knees of Grimsley and used his mat based skills to keep Grimsley on the ground. It was only a matter of time until Grimsley powered to his feet and went on the offensive. Mark Krogan kept up the offense once he was tagged in, using his deadly punches to wear down Stomper and nearly take the pinfall victory. It wasn’t to be however and Stomper made the tag into Johnny Boy. Johnny Boy cleared house, throwing Krogan over the top rope, then dodging Grimsley and using his momentum to throw him over the top rope as well. Krogan slid back into the ring and the two southern brawlers did what they do best, punch the hell out of each other.

Kurt:
“This is what I come to work for Franco.”

Franco:
“We haven’t seen two guys go at it like this for quite a while Kurt.”

The beating couldn’t go on forever and eventually Johnny Boy gained the upper hand. He whipped Krogan into the ropes, looking to take his head off with a well placed clothesline. Black made the tag on Krogan’s back as he ran by. Grimsley took the opportunity to drop to the floor and take out The Stomper in the while no one was watching. Fran climbed into the ring and started brawling with Krogan. As Johnny Boy went to aid his Uncle, he was lifted off the matt by his neck and slammed in the middle of the ring. Krogan held Fran at bay in the corner as the referee counted the pinfall.

Winner:
Identity Black, Giant Grimsley & Mark ‘The Lariat’ Krogan

D

Farmer Fran was exhausted by the end. Giant Grimsley was visibly tiring toward the end. The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. Johnny Boy Tucker is improving in Technical skills. The Stomper is improving in Performance skills.

Kurt:
“Identity Black gets the pinfall with a sneak attack Franco!”

Franco:
“Goes to show, timing is everything and it looks like Farmer Fran is about to go postal, WATCH OUT KURT!”

Farmer Fran was going postal. He had whipped Krogan over the top rope and right into the ringside announcing table. Fran then turned his attention to Black, who was still kneeling over the fallen body of Johnny Boy. Farmer Fran ran over to Black and tackled him away from Johnny Boy. Fran started raining down shots on Black, letting out a primal scream as he bludgeoned the masked wrestler before lifting him off the ground and throwing him over the top rope. Fran went to check on Johnny Boy, who was just coming too after the chokeslam.

Trent ‘Great White’ Peak may not be the flashiest guy around but he’s been consistently beating people over the past few weeks. After being fired by Franco towards the middle of 1976 he worked to the bone to become a better wrestler both inside and outside of the ring. He was rehired by Terry pretty much straight away after Terry took over the company, one of Terry’s first deeds to disrespect his father.

Kurt:
“Trent ‘Great White’ Peak is one of the toughest men around here Franco, think Ty stands a chance?”

Franco:
“Simply put, no.”

Everyone knows a match against Trent Peak will not be an easy night out. A match against Ty Walls on the other hand is generally considered to be the easiest night out in the APWF. It didn’t take long for the cream to rise to the top and after early flashes of brightness Ty Walls quickly fell to the superior toughness and power of Peak. The match was finished rather quickly after a vicious body slam knocked Ty Walls silly.

Winner:
Trent ‘Great White’ Peak

The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. This match brought the crowd's mood down.

Sam Stragavelli vs Romeo Heartthrob

Despite losing his APWF Tri state Championship two weeks ago in controversial fashion Stragavelli is still one of the most dangerous men in the APWF. The fans are certainly behind him with a chorus of cheers as the statuesque bodybuilder ambles down to the ring. Most people have him locked in to be a future APWF Heavyweight Champion, many just wondering when he’ll be given the chance to dethrone McKing. Romeo Heartthrob on the other hand is not seen to be on the same level, but the youngster has improved in leaps and bounds over the past year. He’s definitely one to watch for the future.

Kurt:
“So will we be seeing Terry during the matchup Franco?”

Franco:
“If I know my son like I think I do, yes.”

Kurt:
“How many matches that involve Sam Stragavelli can New York’s Finest interfere in before APWF management take action?”

Franco:
“Go see them Kurt, I just call the action as I see it.”

Kurt:
“Aren’t you APWF Management Franco?”

Franco:
“Would I be sitting next to you if I ran the company Kurt?”

Kurt:
“You mean we aren’t friends Franco?”

Franco:
“Are you going to ask any more questions, or do your damn job?”

Kurt:
“Ah yeah, Ladies and Gentlemen, here comes the former APWF Tri State Champion, Sam Stragavelli. I wouldn’t trade placed with Romeo Heartthrob for this one.”

Franco:
“Stragavelli looks rather calm, compared to how he is most of the time Kurt.”

Kurt:
“He sure doesn’t look like the normal Sam Stragavelli. Maybe it’s inevitable that Terry will run down, maybe Sam is ready for the attack.”

Franco:
“We’ll find out soon enough, here we go Kurt!”

Sam Stragavelli did look rather calm, unusually laid back which is a vast contrast to his normal intensity levels. Despite clearly not being himself Romeo Heartthrob was no match for a sheer power that Stragavelli has. Sam spent the first few minutes of the matchup whipping Romeo around all four corners of the ring. A big clothesline kept Romeo down and Stragavelli took the chance to showboat to the crowd. Everyone was anticipating a Terry Lambert sneak attack as soon as Stragavelli started, there was almost a drop in the crowd volume when Romeo got to his feet and tackled Sam from behind. Romeo tried in vain to keep Stragavelli controlled, using eye gouges and big kicks to the ribs to little effect. Stragavelli would eventually power his way through Heartthrob with a big boot, followed by a big body drop which ended Romeo.

Winner:
Sam Stragavelli

D

The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost.

Kurt:
“You don’t know your son that well Franco. A whole Stragavelli match without interference!”

Franco:
“What can I say, sometimes they surprise ya.”

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/SamStragavelli.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/TheBrooklynPunk.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/TerryLambert.jpg

Franco Lambert had spoken about 3 seconds to soon, as suddenly Stragavelli was knocked to the ground by The Brooklyn Punk. Terry Lambert quickly ran down from behind the entrance curtain and slid into the ring. Terry was clearly calling the shots, yelling instructions at The Brooklyn Punk as the beating continued. Terry direct Punk to lift Stragavelli to his feet. As soon as Sam was standing, Terry knocked him down with a big spinning punch straight to the chin. Terry picked Stragavelli up again, and hit his Terry House Special. For the second show in a row, Terry Lambert and The Brooklyn Punk stand over the fallen body of Sam Stragavelli.

The performance of Terry Lambert was good.

The Masked Patriot vs Marcus McKing

Marcus McKing made his entrance while Terry Lambert and The Brooklyn Punk were still in the ring. The three men got into a huddle and it was made abundantly clear by McKing that Terry and Punk were to head backstage. Both men begrudgingly headed backstage however both would stop every so often to stare daggers back at McKing. Stragavelli came to and rose to his feet, ready to fight however was left in the ring, McKing didn’t want a bar of it and left the ring, allowing Stragavelli time to come to his senses and leave the ringside area. The Masked Patriot walked out as Stragavelli was heading backstage and the two shared a small conversation.

Kurt:
“I bet they’re discussing the possibility of interference by New York’s Finest.”

Franco:
“McKing could be playing a tricky game here Kurt. Have we been forced into a false sense of hope because he’s sent Terry and Punk backstage? Only time will tell.”

Patriot and McKing stare each other down before launching at each other with a flurry of punches. The two don’t seem to be stopping, both teeing off on each other. It’s an eventually low kick that sets the advantage firmly in McKing’s corner. McKing capitalised on his advantage by hitting a big DDT and nearly knocking Patriot out cold. The crowd were on the edge of their seats for the referees count, but Patriot kicked up at two. McKing would keep the advantage for the next few minutes, keeping a firm advantage over Patriot. The crowd were chanting for a Patriot comeback, as like clockwork Patriot managed to duck a clothesline attempt and began to press his advantage on the match. Patriot made good use of his superior wrestling skills, keeping McKing in a variety of holds. He nearly looked to have McKing stretched out and ready to tap, but a low blow that was undetected by the referee was the beginning of Patriots downfall. McKing would further press his advantage, using every dirty trick in his arsenal to wear down Patriot. Despite a small comeback by Patriot, McKing got a quick rollup and as McKing had a handful of tights the referee counted the three.

Winner:
Marcus McKing

C

Marcus McKing was visibly tiring toward the end.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/MarcusMcKing1977.jpg

McKing quickly rolled out of the ring and snatched his APWF Heavyweight Championship and a microphone from some APWF staffers at ringside. The Masked Patriot is still inside the ring, arguing with the referee.

McKing:
“That’s how it’s done!”

McKing, still sucking in air trying to catch his breath, is given a loud chorus of boos by the now hostile APWF crowd.

McKing:
“I don’t need Terry and punk to help me, unlike Brutus McBride and his new pal, R.J Danzig.”

McKing:
“What the hell did I ever do to you Danzig? You show up here and defend poor defenceless Brutus? What a crock. I’ve heard stories about you man, that’s not the Danzig I heard about. I heard you broke Mad Man’s arm while you were training him, and I heard that half the wrestlers in America hate you. Yet you show up to save BRUTUS. BRUTUS! Brutus McBride is a snivelling dork that can’t win a match to save his life and you save HIM!”

McKing:
“I’ve heard all the stories Danzig, next week we’ll find out if they’re true or not!”

McKing throws down the microphone and heads to the backstage area.

R.J Danzig & Brutus McBride vs New York’s Finest(Terry Lambert & The Brooklyn Punk)

Terry and The Brooklyn Punk made their way out from the backstage area, wearing their designer shades and walking with a cocky strut the two took their time getting to the ring. R.J Danzig and Brutus McBride were polar opposites, the two looking intense and focused as they quickly made their way to the ring.

Franco:
“The two doofuses have shades on inside, I weep for the future.”

Kurt:
“There’s some bright lights here Franco.”

Franco:
“Don’t defend them Kurt.”

The brawl between the two teams was intense and referee Jeff Hanson never really had control of the match. Terry and Danzig slugged it out like the two had hated each other their entire lives, while Punk was able to use his rotten ways to eye gouge and beat up Brutus. Terry and Danzig eventually toppled over the ring ropes and continued to brawl at ringside while Punk used his dirty boxing techniques to press the advantage. It wasn’t long however until Brutus McBride managed to catch Punk in a big running slam, which knocked Punk silly and allowed Brutus to help out Danzig. McBride and Danzig both hit some awkward double team DDT on Terry which left the arrogant youngster out cold at ringside. Danzig and Brutus then both climbed back into the ring to take care of The Brooklyn Punk. After hitting a big yet weird looking double suplex on The Brooklyn Punk Brutus McBride seemed to be getting his groove back. He lifted Punk off the matt and hit another big powerslam. He rose to his feet and looked right at Danzig, offering him a tag into the match. Danzig didn’t want a bar of it. Instead Danzig motioned for McBride to finish Punk off. McBride happily obliged, picking up Punk for a third powerslam. Referee Jeff Hanson counted the three and it looks like Brutus McBride has gained some much needed confidence.

Winners:
Brutus McBride & R.J Danzig

C-

R.J. Danzig and Brutus McBride don't work well as a team, their timing is all over the place. The match suffered because there was not enough selling shown. The colour commentary gave the match a boost.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/BrutusMcBride.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/RJDanzig.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/MarcusMcKing1977.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/TerryLambert.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/TheBrooklynPunk.jpg

As McBride and Danzig shook hands after their victory Marcus McKing walked out form the backstage curtain. He angrily stormed to the ringside area, verbally berating both Danzig and McBride. Both fan favourites returned volley with their own insults as a yelling match ensued between the three of APWF’s toughest wrestlers. It was all a ploy by McKing however as his distraction allowed Terry Lambert to slide into the ring unnoticed.

Kurt:
“Not again.”

Terry didn’t waste any time jumping Danzig and throwing him from ringpost to ringpost. McKing slid under the ropes and took down McBride, launching a volley of punches at his biggest rival. The brawling continued with neither side getting an advantage. As the brawling ensued, officials ran from backstage, trying to gain control of the situation. All things went to hell when The Brooklyn Punk came to and joined in on the brawl. Suddenly the APWF crowd let out one of the biggest cheers it’s ever had when Sam Stragavelli ran out from the backstage area.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/SamStragavelli.jpg

With the numbers now even it wasn’t long before New York’s Finest, the group of Marcus McKing, Terry Lambert and The Brooklyn Punk made a quick retreat. The verbal war continued however, as all six men ended the show roaring at each other.

This was another very good show! I enjoyed the debuting Johnny Boy Fran - certainly a different take on the character, but I love that the Farmer got an interpreter. I also love the image changes - it gives it a very grainy, 70's feel.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/FrancoLambert.jpg

Franco Lambert was walking back to his car after the second APWF show for the year. Franco always made a habit of parking in the back corner of the car park. This served Franco twofold, it was less likely that anyone would park near his vehicle and accidentally damage it and he always could see the car from a distance which made him feel secure. The car park was completely empty, everyone else was out drinking after another solid show put on by the APWF crew. Despite the fact that Franco was no longer the owner of the company he still put in the most amount of time to keep it running. The day to day running of the business was never handed over to Terry, everyone knows full well that Terry wouldn’t be able to handle the pressure and would run the company to the ground. This thankless job is one that Franco Lambert is happy to do. It ensures his legacy lives on, Franco is able to provide food for his family and keep a roof over their heads. Although he’s not making the kind of money he was before he goes home a happy man. Today was not a day that Franco Lambert was going to drive straight home.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/holding.jpg

Franco could hear the footsteps coming from behind him. A shiver went down his spine as cold steel was gently pushed against his neck. For a split second Franco thought it was all over. His life, his legacy all gone within the blink of an eye. Franco Lambert would go down in history as a loser, a man that lost all he had worked so hard for. A man that was killed in a carjacking. This is not how Franco thought his life would end. Just as Franco Lambert had come to the realization that his life could end right now he heard a voice. Some people say that their entire life flashes before their eyes or that they see a bright light. Some even say they speak to loved ones that have passed on. Franco Lambert had just heard a voice he recognized. A voice Franco hadn’t heard in decades. A voice Franco Lambert had never hoped to hear again.

Really enjoyed that first show - great layout and some cool storylines going. KUTGW!

Thanks Jaded, there's a fair bit of leeway with the 70's mod. It's got some great characters to get behind and a relatively open book to work with which is nice, I'll hopefully keep the good storylines coming

You're using Farmer Fran.

I repeat. You're using Farmer Fran.

Do not stop. Become a well known entity here. I am 100% behind it.

Fran's definitely staying around, he's fantastic

Excellent first show. I'll reiterate what Midnightnick and Jaded said - nice storylines and I love your use of Farmer Fran!

I also enjoyed the banter between Franco and Kurt and the background of the tag tournament. Interested to see where you head from here!

Thanks aj, Fran definitely needed a voice and Johnny Boy fills that spot almost perfectly. Gotta up the 70's feel with the pictures, so I'm glad to hear you like it.

Read all of it just now. Got to say some good stuff, I especially enjoy the non-wrestling stuff that happens. Not that the shows are bad or anything; I like many of the characters and also some cool storylines going on. I root for Mister Sam Stragavelli! On the case of the mysterious gun man, I'm imagining it's Giuseppe. Don't know if it would make any sense though.. :D Very interesting indeed!

Keep up the good work

Franco:
“Evenin Giuseppe, been a while.”

Giuseppe:
“Over 20 years cousin, did you think I’d stay away forever?”

Franco:
“I was hoping for it, mind getting that gun away from my neck?”

Giuseppe:
“Franco, It’s my umbrella”

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/Untitled.jpg

Franco Lambert had completely misread the situation. Franco’s always had an issue with assuming the worst of people and in light of the recent events of his life, who could blame him?

Franco:
“Jesus Christ you scared the crap outta me.”

Giuseppe:
“It’s been a long time since I’ve been like that Franco. I’ve got no need for guns, I use this now.”

Giuseppe taps his temple as an indication that he no longer needs to use weapons. Over his lifetime Giuseppe has discovered that using his smarts can be much more useful and better in the long term.

Giuseppe:
“Speaking of which, what’s on yours Franco? What are you so desperate to talk about after all these years?”

Franco:
“Quite a bit. I know a lovely little 24 hour diner G, how about we go for a coffee?”

Giuseppe:
“My guys will drive us.”

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/mobster-1.jpg

Giuseppe motions over to a car that Franco didn’t see as he entered the car park. Franco glances at the car and the two goons leaning against it, one of them is holding an iron pipe. Franco then glances back at Giuseppe staring him in the eyes, his body language asking the question ‘is everything ok?’. Giuseppe nods at Franco and again motions to the car. Franco hesitates for a moment before realizing that he has no choice. Franco tentatively heads for the car with Giuseppe confidently following him.

Giuseppe:
“So what’s wrong Franco, we haven’t spoken in twenty years, and that’s a long time.”

Franco:
“It’s been two wives and a bankruptcy G, I’m well aware of how long it’s been.”

Giuseppe:
“That doesn’t answer the question Franco.”

Franco:
“Fine, I’m losing control of Terry. Him and his boys have taken it up a notch. I’ve tried to have words with him but he’s running rampant. He’ll ruin what little I have left if he’s left to his own devices. I need you to step in and have a word”

Giuseppe:
“You ruined what you had left Franco, don’t blame the kid. And an old man already spoke to him once, seems silly to try again.”

Franco:
“I’m not asking for a normal talk Giuseppe. You know damn well what I want you to do.”

Giuseppe:
“So you come to me when you need some....err....illegitimate happenings to occur, after twenty years of silence and expect me to rough up my own nephew. All for you?”

Franco:
“I’m desperate cousin, I’ve tried it all. I just need Terry to see that the way he’s going will ruin us. Please, I beg you.”

Giuseppe:
“Ohhh you beg now? I’ll cut you a deal. Let me in to see what goes on around there, If I like it I may persuade Terry to make some executive movements. If I don’t then I’m walking and you will not be calling me again.”

Franco:
“If you can convince him to make some movements in management around there then I’ll owe you one cousin. Hell try to convince him to sell the company back to me. I need this. It’s all I’ve got left”

Giuseppe:
“Who said anything about you taking over Franco? I might just make Terry an offer he can’t refuse.”

Franco Lambert sat back in his chair, shocked, only now realising that it may have been a case of better the devil you know than the devil you don’t. Giuseppe had no idea about the inner workings of the APWF, but he now knows that there’s tension brewing between Franco and Terry. Franco slumped his head in his arms, he had to accept Giuseppe’s offer, he may not go home alive otherwise.

Franco:
“Whatever you want Giuseppe. Come in for the next show, see how things work, meet with Terry and have a chat. Do whatever you want, just please say something that will benefit me in the long run.”

Giuseppe:
“So selfish cousin, it’s all about you. I'm not in the business of making things easy for you. I'm in it for me. Now I need you to do something for me. You’ll start paying me tonight Franco, and tonight you pay me in knowledge. I want the run down on Terry’s company, I want to know everything about everyone that works there. Waitress, we’ll have some more coffees over here please! Get started Franco, you’re in for a long night.”

Franco knew that he would be giving away all the dirty little secrets that Giuseppe would use to sow the seeds. He knew what he was going to tell Giuseppe would lead to a mob run wrestling promotion. He knew exactly the kind of scum he was opening the gates for. Franco Lambert gladly told Giuseppe everything, after all, if Giuseppe was running the show the Lambert family legacy would live on. Franco handed Giuseppe a piece of paper, it contained the matches for the next event. Franco started explaining everything about the company from there. Giuseppe and Franco Lambert would talk shop about the APWF well into the early hours of the morning.

Good stuff so far. Nice touch with the graphics too.

Kurt Berkely:
“Good evening fans, welcome to Tri-State Wrestling. I’m Kurt Berkely and my assistant tonight is Franco Lambert.”

Franco:
“I’ve still got enough sway to get you fired, twerp.”

Kurt:
“No you don’t, we’ve got a big show tonight with a massive main event. New York’s Finest will take on Brutus McBride, R.J Danzig and Sam Stragavelli!”

Franco:
“It’s a massive night Kurt, I’m looking forward to see how this one turns out.”

Kurt:
“Me to Franco, starting off tonight though it Farmer Fran’s cousin, Johnny boy Fran taking on The Mad Hungarian. You ready Franco?”

Franco:
”Let’s get to it Kurt.”

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/JohnnyBoyTucker.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/_BlankBackground.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/TheMadHungarian.jpg

Johnny Boy Fran vs The Mad Hungarian

Johnny Boy Fran is looking to pick up his first win since joining the APWF and standing beside his cousin, Farmer Fran. Farmer Fran joined his cousin at ringside although he kept on looking around the arena looking for something, most likely Identity Black. The Mad Hungarian is looking to keep the small wave of momentum he got from his victory two weeks ago going and a win over the inexperienced Johnny Boy Fran would be a good notch on his belt.

Kurt: “What the hell is Farmer Fran looking for?”

Franco: “Probably dinner!”

The match started with both men getting a feeling for the crowd, Johnny Boy trying to rally them behind him and The Mad Hungarian being a mad Hungarian. The fans cheering Johnny Boy were eventually louder that the ones booing The Mad Hungarian and the two me started to brawl. Johnny Boy seemed to have found his place in the APWF straight away, really taking the action to The Mad Hungarian and wearing him down with skull crushing lariats and big boots. Johnny Boy Fran kept up to pace with everything The Mad Hungarian could throw at him which resulted in Hungarian using some dirty tactics to gain control of the match. Johnny Boy took a beating whilst Hungarian had control of the match, but it wasn’t enough to keep the newcomer down. Johnny Boy eventually caught onto the dirty ways of The Mad Hungarian and began to reverse and dodge anything that came his way. After a quick roll up attempt it looked like The Mad Hungarian would win the match with a handful of tights but Johnny Boy was able to kick out. As The Mad Hungarian bounced off the ropes Farmer Fran tripped up the APWF veteran which gave Johnny Boy the opening to hit a huge lariat and splash to win his first singles APWF match

Winner:
Johnny Boy Fran

The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/MarcusMcKing1977.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/TheBrooklynPunk.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/TerryLambert.jpg

The trio know as New York’s Finest walk out from behind the backstage curtain. As the trio mockingly taunt like Sam Stragavelli they are showered with a chorus of boos from the APWF crowd. Marcus McKing is the first stop mocking Stragavelli and head to the ring. It takes a while for The Brooklyn Punk to follow, leaving Terry Lambert taunting like an idiot all by himself. McKing has a microphone in hand before Lambert even notices they’ve left him high and dry.

McKing:
“Tonight will be the first time you will ever see R.J Danzig, Brutus McBride and Sam Stragavelli teaming up”

The APWF crowd cheer, as tonight’s main event will team up 3 of the most popular men in the APWF.

McKing:
“I would not get used to seeing them team up, because tonight I’m going to make damn sure that one of those three men will not be returning.”

The APWF Crowd boo, knowing that McKing has the means to sneak attack one of the three and sideline them. A tactic that has been used before by New York’s Finest.

McKing:
“So if any of those three buffoons wants to come out here now and get this over with I’d like them to do it now, saves us the hassle of doing it later on in the night. Nice of you to join us Terry!”

Terry Lambert has only just slid into the ring. McKing does not look happy with Lambert, and the glare coming from McKing truly shows his displeasure.

Lambert:
“Chill bro, we’ve got this. Those guys can’t refuse coming out here and defending their honour. Like I always say - when in Rome, you never get a free lunch!”

Lambert laughs his ass off, as McKing tilts his head sideways in a confused manner.

McKing:
“Don’t you mean - do as the Romans do? Even then it doesn’t make sense!”

Terry can be heard shouting “Think about it bro, really think!”, McKing and Brooklyn Punk just look on in disbelief as Lambert carries on with the mock taunting of Stragavelli.

McKing:
“ Anyway, tonight New York’s Finest will continue their winning ways. I’ve beaten McBride before, Punk has beaten Stragavelli before, Terry is off his rocker and Danzig is an old never was. We’ll rack up another win tonight and move onto bigger and better things next week, with these 3 bozos no longer a problem. Chalk one up to the bad guys!”

McKing drops the microphone and leaves the ring, Brooklyn Punk is quick to follow. Lambert however is left behind by his friends, still taunting away in the middle of the ring.

Marcus McKing is learning to show more charisma. The Brooklyn Punk is developing better performance skills.

Terry Carmen vs Giant Grimsley w/ Rolf Shelton

Terry Carmen, he’s got the solid technical skills which would’ve seen him be a solid competitor in his prime, however that prime would’ve been about 15 years ago. This isn’t to say the best years are behind Carmen, he can still go out there and tie anyone into knots, but he’s not going to be pinning Marcus McKing or Sam Stragavelli in his current condition. Carmen took a battering at the hands of Giant Grimsley. Grimsley is probably the biggest professional wrestler in North America, and the term wrestler is used extremely lightly. Grimsley used his raw power to psychically overcome Terry Carmen. He took direction from Rolf Shelton, listening and doing everything the evil businessman said. Eventually Grimsley used his lifting choke bomb to pin the veteran whilst barely breaking a sweat.

Winner:
Giant Grimsley

Giant Grimsley was exhausted by the end. Rolf Shelton did some good work at ringside. The announcing quality lifted the match. The colour commentary gave the match a boost. This match brought the crowd's mood down.

As Giant Grimsley and Rolf Shelton were walking to the backstage area Shelton suddenly stopped and turned to face the ring, seeing the veteran Terry Carmen trying to get to his feet. Shelton pulled out a roll of bills and handed them to Grimsley, then pointed at Carmen. Giant Grimsley bounded down the entranceway like a grizzly bear and entered the ring. What followed was a complete and utter devastating attack on Terry Carmen. Giant Grimsley continued the assault until a loud wolf whistle came from Rolf Shelton. On cue Grimsley stopped the attack and calmly headed to the backstage area.

Kurt:
“Can someone come down here and give Terry Carmen a hand backstage, he’ll need it.”

Farmer Fran is seen standing against the crowd barrier, holding a Rubik’s Cube, trying to figure it out with members of the crowd. When it’s clear to Fran that one section of the crowd can’t complete the puzzle he moves along the railing. Eventually coming face to face with Identity Black who’s standing behind the rails in with the crowd. Fran gets quite a shock when he bumps into Identity Black and going against his better judgment decides not to launch an attack. Instead Fran hands the Rubik’s Cube to Identity Black. Identity Black studies the cube and climbs over the crowd barricade, standing toe to toe with Fran. In a blur of motion Identity Black’s hands start moving, and before we know if Identity Black has solved the Rubik’s Cube. He hands it back to Fran, then stands in front of our ever loveable Farmer with his arms crossed over his chest. Fran examines the cube himself, totally bewildered that Identity Black has solved the puzzle that he could not.

Suddenly Farmer Fran’s quizzical expression turns to anger. He flings the Rubik’s Cube into the face of Identity Black and the two men go toe to toe. It doesn’t take long for Johnny Boy Fran and Mark ‘The Lariat’ Krogan to run down and pull the two apart, Krogan takes Black into the ring while Johnny Boy Fran takes Farmer Fran backstage.

APWF Tri-State Championship

The Stomper vs Mark ‘The Lariat’ Krogan w/ Rolf Shelton

While the circumstances surrounding the APWF Tri State championship win by The Stomper were controversial the young wrestler seems to be ready to make his mark and bring some much needed stability to the Tri State Championship. Largely forgotten about during the months leading up to the Tag Team Tournament, the Tri State Championship has been held by current APWF Heavyweight Champion, Marcus McKing, Current APWF Tag Team Title holder Sheik Mustafa and Current fan favourite The Masked Patriot. The Stomper has become a member of an elite club here in the APWF, hopefully he can use this reign to move onto bigger and better things.

Kurt:
“I’m sure The Stomper never wanted to win the title the way he did. Having Terry and The Brooklyn Punk practically win the championship for him. However the proof is with the pudding and The Stomper can show us right here and now what kind of champion he’ll be!”

Franco:
“Don’t let his size fool ya, this kid has got the fighting heart of a champion, that’s why he was hired, so let’s see what he’s got in the tank against a grizzled veteran, Mark ‘The Lariat’ Krogan.

Krogan is a legend in the south of the country, his hard brawling ways have gained him a lot of friends and enemies down south. His work with the young Giant Grimsley has seen a vast improvement in the Giant. The match starts off in typical Krogan fashion, a few big lariat to knock his opponent silly and some power moves to make them hurt. It took some time for The Stomper to feel his way into the match, but once he was able to get a hold of ‘The Lariat’ we worked his way back into the match, really utilizing arms bars and arm whips to work over the arm/shoulder of Mark Krogan and hopefully take out his biggest weapon, his dreaded ‘Krogan Lariat’. While The Stomper pressed his advantage over the challenger he was hit with a massive body slam, which knocked the wind out of The Stomper and allowed Krogan back into the match. Krogan went for his dreaded ‘Krogan Lariat’, but Stomper managed to duck out of the way and whip Krogan into the corner turnbuckle. The Stomper started stomping away on the prone Krogan, which is how he earned his nickname. Stomper then waiting for Krogan to get to his feet before slamming the big man down with a body slam and wrenching away on the injured arm of Krogan. It was only a matter of time before Krogan tapped out.

Winner:
The Stomper

APWF Tag Team Championship

The Ayatollah Alliance (Sheik Mustafa & Suhail Assanti) vs The Good Guys(Warren Hampton and Babyface Dave)

The first ever APWF Tag Team Champions, The Ayatollah Alliance, used every dirty trick in the book to beat The Masked Patriot and Sam Stragavelli during the finals of the Tag Team Tournament. It even took a run in from Terry Lambert to keep Stragavelli busy whilst Sheik Mustafa pinned The Masked Patriot. Since the Tag Team title win the Alliance look as solid as ever, using the foreign ways to daze and confuse their opponents before going for the kill. Sheik Mustafa has looked to be the more dangerous of the two, although Suhail would still stab you in the back whilst you were distracted by Mustafa. The Good Guys have been on a mini-streak of their own, proving that they deserve a shot against the reigning APWF Tag Team Champions

Kurt
: “I’m not sure if I trust the Ayatollah Alliance Franco, they just rub me the wrong way.”

Franco:
“I’m with you on this one Kurt, There’s something off about the way they treat people, like they truly believe they’re better than everyone else.”

Kurt:
“Which we know is not true Franco, nobody is made better than anyone else.”

Franco:
“Except me, I’m better than you Kurt”

Kurt:
“Prove it Franco!”

The Ayatollah Alliance immediately began working over Babyface Dave. Dave was unable to power his way through the much larger Suhail Assanti, and spent the next few minutes being tossed around by the big man from Iran. Suhail tagged in Mustafa and they began double teaming Dave, hitting a nice double suplex and a strange leg drop when Suhail dropped Mustafa on top of Dave. Dave was able to kick out, but the assault from The Alliance continued on. Warren Hampton was almost jumping out of his skin waiting to be tagged into the match and when he eventually got the tag he cleared house, using his ever changing array of high flying moves to daze Sheik Mustafa and confuse Suhail Assanti. It looked like Hampton had the match won after hitting a big leg drop on Mustafa, but Suhail managed to break up the pinfall and slam Hampton down to the matt before leaving the ring. Mustafa saw his opportunity as Suhail went to attack Babyface Dave. Mustafa quickly locked in his ‘Shaheed Stretch’ and used the ropes for additional leverage. Warren Hampton fought as hard as he could, but as eventually forced to tap out

Winners:
The Ayatollah Alliance

Identity Black vs The Masked Patriot

Still visibly angry after his confrontation with Farmer Fran, Identity Black quickly made his way to the ring and began to pace around. He didn’t have to wait long for his opponent, The Masked Patriot. Patriot came out to a shower of applause and cheers from the APWF crowd. Patriot is coming off a loss to APWF Heavyweight Champion Marcus McKing and is looking to gain some momentum by defeating Identity Black tonight. Black on the other hand is clearly distracted, constantly looking towards the entrance curtain. Is the looming threat of Farmer Fran finally dawning on Identity Black?

Kurt:
“Looks to me like Identity Black is waiting for some interference, I’m guessing from Farmer Fran.”

Franco:
“Logic!”

Although distracted, it’s Identity Black to make the first move and attack The Masked Patriot. The two begin to brawl, hitting each other with big left and rights, eventually the flurry of punched is stopped when Black kicks Patriot in the stomach. Black goes on a rampage slamming Patriot all over the ring and constantly going for pinfall attempts, none of which are effective. Visibly become more frustrated and distracted as the match goes on, Black goes to hit his ‘Black Hole Slam’ rather early in the match and it’s reversed by Patriot into a big DDT. While both men are down Farmer Fran makes an appearance. He’s clearly in the corner of The Masked Patriot, banging on the matt and wishing the big masked man up. He gets his wish, as The Masked Patriot is the first man to his feet. Patriot goes on the offensive, but he’s met with a solid kick to the jaw. The Masked Patriot falls to the floor as Identity Black slumps to one knee. Black looks up and sees that Farmer Fran is at ringside and goes ballistic, charging straight at the heavyweight Farmer. Smart enough to not leave the ring however Black does everything in his power to reach and scratch at Fran. The distraction has allowed The Masked Patriot to climb back to his feet and quickly roll up Identity Black! Referee Jeff Hanson counts to three and The Masked Patriot has won!

Farmer Fran helps The Masked Patriot to the back as Identity Black grabs a microphone. A robotic like voice is heard talking over the loudspeaker.

Identity Black:
“HMMMM Farmer Fran!”

Kurt:
“My god he’s got the voice of a robot.”

Farmer Fran quickly turns around, absolutely horrified by Identity Black’s voice

Identity Black:
“I compute that you have a 1.3% chance of leaving here next week still breathing. HMMMM I challenge you Fran next week!”

Johnny Boy Fran barges out of the entrance curtain and stands beside his uncle, microphone in hand.

Johnny Boy Fran:
“Well listen here my roboto-san. You challenge Fran next week? Well I accept, I’ll fight you next week!”

Farmer Fran quickly turns and grabs Johnny Boy, trying to get him to change his mind. Identity Black just nods at Johnny Boy.

Identity Black:
“HMMMM Johnny boy, you are also a Fran, accept I do. Although your chances are not better than your uncles. HaHaHaHa.”

The creepy laughter of Identity Black carries on as Johnny Boy Tucker confidently looks on. Farmer Fran is just shaking his head at Johnny Boy, unable to comprehend why Johnny Boy has taken his place in the match.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/RJDanzig.jpghttp://img.photobucket.com/albums/v107/bretter_person/APWF/SamStragavelli.jpg

R.J Danzig and Sam Stragavelli make their way to the ring, both are carrying microphones and have serious and stern looks on their faces. Danzig is the first to roll into the ring, with Stragavelli quickly climbing in after him.

Danzig:
“Tonight is a big night here for us. Tonight we take the fight to New York's Finest, three on three. No more of this three on one baloney that’s been going on here for the last few months.”

The crowd cheer, hoping to see the reign of New York’s Finest ended here tonight.

Danzig:
“Now some of you were asking me, hey Danzig why come here? Why come to The APWF and get in the way of Marcus McKing and his cronies. Well, the answer is simple. I’ve been around the block a few times, I’ve taken out chumps like Lambert and Punk my entire career. I worked my ass off to get where I am, and having these little snivelling punks that think they own the joint was busting my chops. They want respect, well earn it in the middle of this ring. Don’t go around taking people out just to stay on top, that’s not how it works. Eventually you take out to many people, make too many enemies and R.J Danzig shows up to beat the snot out of you. I’ll show Sam Stragavelli here and Brutus and teach them a thing or two. Teach them how to deal with punks like New York’s Finest and someday soon they’ll be squashed like bugs beneath our feet. Hold on tight boy, this will be one hell of a ride!”

Stragavelli hypes the crowd up like only Stragavelli can. Pumping the crowd has become his specialty and they eat up every move he makes.

Sam Stragavelli:
“Tonight I team up with Brutus MCBRIDE AND R.J DANZIG! NEW YORK’S FINEST WILL CRUMBLE UNDER THE WEIGHT OF OUR POWER, CHEK OUT THESE ARMS, CHECK OUT HIS!”

Danzig poses, although it’s not as convincing as Stragavelli’s. Probably due to Danzig being 44 years old and not in tip top shape, unlike Stragavelli.

Stragavelli:
“TERRY FOR TWO WEEKS NOW I”VE WARNED OFF YOU AND BROOKLYN PUNK, AND YOU’VE IGNORED ME. TONIGHT TERRY I GET MY PAYBACK! TONIGHT YOU WILL FEEL MY WRATH!”

Stragavelli drops the microphone and continues to breathe heavily. The crowd are in a frenzy, eating up everything Sam has to say. They know full well that up next, Sam, brutus and Danzig will exact their revenge upon New York’s Finest

Brutus McBride, R.J Danzig and Sam Stragavelli vs New York’s Finest(Marcus McKing, The Brooklyn Punk and Terry Lambert)

Brutus McBride quickly joined his team mates in the middle of the ring. All three men awaited New York’s Finest.

Kurt:
“You could cut the tension with a knife Franco, will New York’s Finest finally get their comeuppance?”

Franco:
“If anyone can beat my son and his friends it’s these three. I have high hopes for this Kurt.”

New York's Finest finally make their entrance. The confidently swagger on down to the ring. All three stop before entering the ring and survey the situation. McKing starts a hole through Brutus McBride, R.J Danzig stares a hole though The Brooklyn Punk and Terry Lambert is busy mocking Sam Stragavelli’s poses. Suddenly McKing jumps into the ring as Sam Stragavelli and R.J Danzig slide out of it to attack Lambert and Punk. Brutus is prepared for McKing and immediately whips him into the ropes and hits a huge spine buster which nearly knows McKing out cold. Brutus is quick to capitalise and makes the pinfall attempt, but McKing is able to quickly kick out. The brawling continues between all three men as the crowd goes nuts, finally they can witness the downfall of New York’s Finest.

Kurt:
“Holy cow is it on tonight. Watch out Franco!”

Franco:
“Jesus!”

With that R.J Danzig slams The Brooklyn Punk into the announce table, knocking it over. Sam Stragavelli is ramming Terry Lamberts head into the ring post When R.J Danzig joins him. They take turns punching Terry Lambert with the crowd counting along. Eventually the damage has been done and R.J Danzig and Sam Stragavelli get into position, this match has only just began!

Kurt:
“I’m just sitting on my chair in the middle of nowhere out here.”

Franco:
“Thanks to Danzig, nice one you clown!”

Kurt:
“I’ll not mention what else went on outside the ring, we all saw it, I’ll just concentrate in the ring and look at Brutus McBride go!”

Franco:
“He’s certainly got his groove back!”

Brutus McBride takes the fight to McKing, using a variety to punches, kicks and slams to wear down the APWF Heavyweight Champion. McBride tag in Danzig, who tries to one up Brutus with a harder slam. Stragavelli is jumping out of his skin on the outside, certain that he can topple both men and destroy McKing. When Stragavelli gets the taghe silences the crowd as he picked up McKing and slams him into the matt.

Kurt:
“McKing is broken. My god did you hear the thud?”

Franco:
“He’s dead, just call it now”

McKing was out, but Stragavelli didn’t capitalise, instead choosing to showboat to the crowd. This allowed a recovered Brooklyn Punk to climb up on the apron and distract the referee whilst Terry Lambert clocked Stragavelli with the APWF Heavyweight Championship. Lambert dragged McKing’s limp body over the fallen Stragavelli and threw the APWF Heavyweight Championship out of the ring before attacking R.J Danzig and Brutus McBride. Punk ran over to help as referee Jeff Hanson counted the pinfall!

Winners:
New York’s Finest(Marcus McKing, The Brooklyn Punk and Terry Lambert)

Terry Lambert was really off his game tonight. The match suffered because there was not enough selling shown.
