Tough one right here, I can truly see this going either way because when I play as NYCW, depending on the save, I will have Flash win in one save and Bailey win in the other. The question is if you will change the title right out of the gate. I am going to go with no and watch me be wrong.

Lee Wright vs. Roger Cage

Neither one of these guys gives you much of an upside in winning right here. Lee is too damn old and you are probably going to be losing Roger to the SWF.

Always good to see a NYCW diary, count me in

Steve Flash vs. Black Hat Bailey ©

I'll pick Bailey here - though the title change wouldn't surprise me

Lee Wright vs. Roger Cage

Cage always leaves for SWF so Wright wins here

Old School Principles vs The Ring Generals ©

I'll pick OSP here - the chase will be good

Dazzling Dave Diamond vs. Sammy the Shark ©

Prefer DDD, but think you'll give Sammy the win.

Animal Harker vs. The New York Doll

Harker is the only person NYD can beat

I like a heel champ starting out. Admittedly, Flash is better (no limb damage), but I feel like the story of faces trying to oust the evil guy is the better initial story.

Lee Wright vs. Roger Cage

HMMM. I hate both these guys (one didn't retire when I thought he would, and the other went to SWF fast) for different reasons. Wright's not all that good in the ring, at least on my save, but as people have said, and as I've found, Cage isn't staying here long. Wright's really popular, though, so I'll throw it at him.

Old School Principals vs. The Ring Generals ©

Ring Generals aren't ready to hold the titles. Yes, they're the default champs, but no. Plus, Mauler's actually great backstage and a hell of a lot better in the ring than I keep thinking he is.

Dazzling Dave Diamond vs. Sammy the Shark ©

We've already had the obligatory title change, so this one's even from the outset. Dave's a lot older, but he can get to the top with some entertainment work. I think Sammy's a bit worse in that area. However, Sammy has youth, which equates to better in-ring skills in the future. For this kind of belt, I have no qualms with letting the relative rookie have some fun.

Animal Harker vs. The New York Doll

Both are underrated. Doll's better, though.

If you end up having Land Mass do anything useful, I will be quite jealous.

Not on the first show

Lee Wright vs. Roger Cage

Cage leaves, Wright does not.

Old School Principles vs. The Ring Generals ©

If I win be prepared to push Sanders

I love the Shark

Animal Harker vs. The New York Doll

IF you are going to have a brute, you should use him as a brute, imho

Old Man power! Go!

When in doubt go with the champion.

Champion retains.

Animal Harker vs. The New York Doll

Total guess. I suspect the crowd won't be too keen on this match.

NEW YORK CITY WRESTLING

RESOLUTIONS RECAP

Recorded Sunday of Week 1, 2010

<table align="center" width="650"> <tbody><tr> <td>

Black Hat Bailey does it again! At NYCW Resolutions Steve Flash punished Black Hat Bailey with a full array of flashy technical moves. He repeatedly looked on the cusp of becoming a two time Empire champion only to have Bailey somehow get one of his shoulders up. There was even a full three count overturned as Bailey had a foot on the ropes. Flash's former valet, Willow, shows up near the end and the fans erupt thinking she's there to support her former client but she only serves as a distraction allowing Bailey to get Steve Flash into the Bailey Breaker. Flash fights off the submission for quite a while but every time the referee checks to see if he's alright, Bailey grabs the ropes and uses them for leverage. The crowd and yours truly can't believe the ref doesn't see it. The whole time Flash is struggling, Willow is in his face taunting him. The official even has to step in allowing Bailey to cheat even more. Flash eventually passes out from the pain and the ref calls the match. The show goes off the air with Willow adding even further insult to injury. She grabs the Empire championship and helps Black Hat Bailey put the belt around his waist. The fans might not have gotten the outcome they wanted, but they did get a pretty good show.

Just before the main event, Jack Griffith was highlighted while he was sitting ringside. The former up and coming star has been out of action as of late, but Rock Downpour and Herb Stately inform us they believe he's inked a deal with NYCW. He's not what he used to be but as long as he stays away from the alchohol "Southern Justice" should be a big boost for NYCW. The crowd doesn't seem to care too much as they're ready for the main event and already chanting for fan favorite Steve Flash.

Lee Wright defeated Roger Cage with the Wright Stuff in what was a pretty one sided match. In other news, it looks as though the rumors we reported on last week were true. After the show it was revealed that Roger Cage has signed with SWF. This would explain why he was ragdolled for ten minutes by Wright. Maybe NYCW felt a little betrayed? Roger Cage leaving is a pretty big blow to NYCW but it shouldn't come as much of a surprise, insiders were telling us for quite a while now that Cage was telling anyone who would listen that he felt NYCW just wasn't a big enough platform for him to showcase his talents. Roger Cage looks to have gotten his wish and will get his chance to compete in the biggest promotion in the world.

The self proclaimed Slick Pimp Daddy, Ernie Turner, made his debut but it was quickly spoiled as Land Mass came from out of no where, which I know is hard to believe, to attack Turner who was in-ring getting some face time trying to introduce his character to us. Land Mass gives him a serious beating, then leaves the ring throwing a few officials and security guards to the side along the way. Downpour and Stately both contemplate the reasoning for the attack and neither can come up with a good reason. They suggest talking to the man himself but after witnessing what just happened, that sounds like a horrible idea.

Both the Ring Generals and Sammy the Shark were able to retain their championships respectively. The Ring Generals held of former champs Old School Principles in a pretty good bout with lots of back and forth action. Dean Waldorf eventually pins the Masked Mauler after the Waldorf Salad Toss. Rick Sanders looked pretty frustrated with the Mauler. My guess is he was a little upset he couldn't cheat his way to victory. Sammy the Shark was able to defeat former Tri-State Regional champ, Dazzling Dave Diamond in their rematch. The two battled it out in a match that had the crowd completely divided on who to root for. Sammy eventually picks up the victory after hitting Triple D with the Ace in the Hole.

Possibly the highlight of the night came just after the opening bout, which saw Animal Harker beat The New York Doll after a Stump Piledriver. Whistler was backstage cutting one of his eat your vitamins and say your prayers promos when Honest Frank mocks him walking by. Whistler doesn't like it and before you know it there's a huge confrontation backstage. Honest Frank mocks Whistler and his beliefs in what was a pretty funny segment. Security has to intervine, getting in between the two as they're in an intense stare down.I have a feeling we'll be seeing these two back in the ring real soon but Whistler has other matters to attend to first. It's already been announced that he's set to face Black Hat Bailey for the Empire championship at NYCW's next show, King of New York.

Derek Bradford promised us at the end of last year that NYCW would be rejuvenated and will return to relevancy in the wrestling wold. Last year he finally admitted they'd become a little stale. So far he's started the new year off to a good start. The King of New York event was announced earlier in the week feature an annual eight man tournament with the winner to face the Empire Champion at what Bradford called NYCW's biggest event of the year, Super Rumble.

King of New York Round One:

Rick Sanders vs. Land Mass

Frank vs Sanders makes a lot more sense then Frank vs Land Mass.

Honest Frank vs. Dazzling Dave Diamond

No doubt here.

King of New York Round One:

Steve Flash vs. Larry Vessey

Flash moves on.

I don't see you bringing Sgt. Bubba in just to job to Animal Harker.

Tri-State Regional Championship

Lee Wright vs. Sammy the Shark ©
