Paragons of Wrestling: The End Beckons A New Beginning

Alexia Dynamite © vs Sky Panther

POW Grand Championship

Two out of Three Falls Match

With both competitors down and out, Referee Tiny Jackson starts the count. And members of the POW roster start to come out and stand on the stage, heroes and villians alike, to witness the end to what is the best match in POW's short history so far. Both wrestlers have a fall each, with Alexia going ahead by way of A Fist Full of Dynamite before Sky Panther pulled it back with a Slo-Motion Stunner. As the count reaches five, both begin to stir and Alexia is up to her feet first, throwing herself at Sky Panther in a desperate attempt to retain the Grand Championship. Attempting to set Sky Panther up for another Fist Full of Dynamite, Alexia lets her guard slip for just a fraction and everything goes into slow motion. The look of horror of Alexia's face says it all. The master of the slow motion timespace nails Alexia with perfect Slo-Motion Stunner and Referee Tiny Jackson makes the count.

NEW POW Grand Champion : Sky Panther!

It was after this match that POW took a short sabbatical, from November to January. I was approached by Tiny after the show, I came along to see what all the fuss was about. Having had experience booking small promotions over in England, and knowing about how Deb wanted to step down, I was glad when Tiny invited me into the creative meetings (Usually takeaway meals at his apartment). It was decided then that as of January 2012, I would take over the reigns at POW. Deb still stayed on, she wanted to stay but didn't want to deal with any complaints from certain members of the roster.

As for who I am, that's not important now, or will it ever be. I'm strictly behind the scenes here in Chicago. Some have even taken to calling me The Puppet Master, I always found the name appropriate.

THE PARAGONIGAL PODCAST

[The
for the podcast starts up, showing with it a highlight reel of some of POW's recent events and historic moments, including Sky Panther holding the POW Grand Championship high in the air last October. The music fades out and we see Debbie Monroe standing with her co-host for the week, the famed Bucaneer. He doesn't look happy to be there]

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DebbieMonroe.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/Buccaneer.jpg

DM: Greetings POW fans and/or bored youtube viewers and welcome to the re-vamped Paragonigal Podcast, the only show that will keep you in the know about POW!

B: Ah, t' lady lies. There be plenty o' shows where you can watch POW.

DM: That may be true pirate but this is the only POW endorsed show, meaning that we are the breaking news centre for any event information and other POW related tidbits. Speaking of which, POW will be returning to the Ohio Jewish Centre on the last Saturday of the month with the long-awaited rematch between Alexia Dynamite and Sky Panther. We recently had the misfortune of speaking to Ms. Dynamite about her thoughts regarding the upcoming match. Here's what she had to say.

[The shot of Debbie and Buccaneer switches to one of Alexia Dynamite, who looks angry. We have reasons to speculate why]

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/AlexiaDynamite.jpg

AD: SKY PANTHER! You and your stupid slow motion. It's cost me the one thing that I cared most about. The belt was mine. It was my bff. WE WENT EVERYWHERE TOGETHER! The movies, out to dinner, I even took it to meet my parents. You broke us apart. Waking up doesn't feel right without the belt next to me in my bed. At the Ohio Jewish Centre, I will take back what is rightfully mine. Me and my best friend will be re-united. You won't break us apart again.

[The camera pans back to Debbie and Buccaneer, who are in the midst of what looks like a serious game of tic-tac-toe.]

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DebbieMonroe.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/Buccaneer.jpg

DM: Oh hey there again. Strong words there from Ms. Dynamite...

B: They words be more than strong from that lass, she really needs t' get out more.

DM: For once I'm in agreeance with you there. I've never seen anyone so...attached to a belt. And we have more news for you Paragon-A-Maniacs out there, at Flying Through The Art of Tradition we will also have the Sidekicks belt on show as Discotheque take on Lt. Geoffery C. Westminister II and a yet-to-be revealed partner. Whilst we have out thoughts as to who it could be, nothing concrete has come out.

[Just as Debbie says that, one of the camera crew comes out with what appears to be a telegraph and hands it to her.]

DM: What in the world?

Telegraph: "Please tell the right honourable Lieutenant that I have received his correspondance and will accompany him in his quest to wretch the Sidekicks belt from the unintelligent miscreants who call themselves Discotheque. Signed, Sir Cameron Lloyd Buckingham".

B: Argh, now there be a man wit' great class, much like meself.

DM: Well folks, that wraps up the riddle of who is the mystery partner. We have a name, show up to Flying Through The Art of Tradition to put a face to it. Also on the card we have The Frat Pack's open Trios invitational, WMD against the POW board's chosen victim, the delicious El Hot Dog and for the first time ever, both Santana boys will team up as they take on Dreamscape. We'll see YOU on the last Saturday of the month. Peace guys.

El Hot Dog vs W.M.D.

Poor El Hot Dog. He never stood a chance in this match as W.M.D. started her brutal massacre from the second the bell went. W.M.D. evidently had a point to prove as she battered El Hot Dog with numeous kicks and punches. The match looked to move into El Hot Dog's favour after W.M.D. delivered a Powerbomb only to find out that El Hot Dog bounced right off the canvas and back to his feet, no doubt due to the powers of his rubber suit. The match mercifully ended for El Hot Dog after not one but two Tactial Air Strikes (Flying Splash) from W.M.D.

Winner : W.M.D.

Rating = 39

W.M.D. wasn't finished however, as after the bell had rang she rolled out of the ring and brought in a steel chair. Launching the chair at a barely standing El Hot Dog, W.M.D. continued her assualt until Referee Tiny Jackson pulled her off the near squashed El Hot Dog.

A DVD exclusive awaits us and it is Earl Ray Travis standing backstage, waiting for his match with newcomer Daniel James.

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/EarlRayTravis.jpg

"Well looky here, I gots myself one of them there city fellas next. Mama Travis always warned me about they city boys. Always lookin' out for themselfs so she said. Well tonight, Mister James, I think it is down to me to show you how us country boys gets things done. Mama said I had to beat you, or else my brothers wouldn't be too happy with me. And I never want to upset Mama Travis."

Daniel James vs Earl Ray Travis

Daniel James didn't quite know what to expect from Earl Ray Travis and it showed. Where Daniel tried to apply submission holds, or "city wrasslin'" as Earl Ray would shout, Earl Ray found a way out of them, and a way to gain control of the match. This would prove to be James' downfall as when he went to apply the Quadrophonic Leglock, Earl Ray kicked him into the ropes and rolled him up for the suprise three count.

Winner : Earl Ray Travis

Rating = 28 (Bad Chemistry)

The theme song to the Become A Star competition that saw Johnny Hollywood and Iago De Brun win contracts with AWF and PWI respectaviely begins to ring out in the halls of the Ohio Jewish Centre, and Dirk Robertson, José Ángel Garcés and Thomas Beaumont walk out from behind the curtain. Dirk picks up a microphone and leads the other two into the ring.

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DirkRobertson_zps57ce1fb8.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/ThomasBeaumont.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/JoseAngelGarces.jpg

"Hello Ohio Jewish Centre. No need to screw up your eyes, you are seeing the three most wanted individuals on the independent scene. We three were robbed during Become A Star. But we bonded during it, and focused out attentions on working as a team, an effective unit dedicated to wrestling. And when we found out about some college dropouts holding an open challenge, well we thought we would check it out. So bring out The Blunder Pack so we can show them why we are The New Stars of professional wrestling".

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/ScottBingington.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DariusKing.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/FreshmanPatel.jpg

The Frat Pack make there way out, looking about as serious as ever. Each member looks like they've just came off of a serious drinking session and at one point Scott asks a member of the audience if they have a bucket. Amazingly Darius takes the microphone and utters coherent words, accepting The New Stars challenge as well as declaring the Trios Championships are on the line, the reason given is that he is the "captain" of the team and he makes these decisions.

The Frat Pack © vs The New Stars

All three of The New Stars show a large amount of contempt for the drunken ways of POW's resident college members. The hungoverness of The Frat Pack hindered them more than helping them, as Bingington spent most of the match lying down on the apron whereas King and Patel moved at a more sluggish pace. The New Stars wrapped up the win after Garcés rattled Patel's brains with a vicious Penalty Kick.

Dreamscape vs The Flying Santana Boys

An even contest between these two teams, surprising given that this was the first time Angelo and Richie have met and teamed with each other. They took the fight straight to Frightening and Scaremare and almost had the win after Angelo hit a Flying Crossbody onto Scaremare. However in the end, experience won out as Frightening took Angelo down and locked in the deadly Having Nightmares? submission lock (Inverted CHIKARA Special).

Winners: Dreamscape

Another DVD exclusive sees us at a tacky nightclub with yet another newcomer "All Night" Mike Santorelli. From the looks of it, it is in the Jersey Shore and everyone seems to be enjoying themselves.

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/MikeSantorelli.jpg

"Yo, cameraman over here. See those fine babes over there? See the clothes I'm wearing? I don't need to tell you that Mike Santorelli is a man of class bro. I'm the guido every man wants to be, the man that every woman wants to be with. I'm the real deal bro. This El Scorcho loser I'm supposed to be facing ain't nothing compared to me. And I'll show everyone that. Paragons of Wrestling just got a whole lot more real bro."

El Scorcho vs. Mike Santorelli

A fast paced match between the padawan of the ways of Slow Motion and the Jersey Shore party boy. Santorelli at one point brought out a camera phone and proceeded to film a segment with El Scorcho and Tiny Jackson for his "hit MeTube show", which ended in the transition to slo-mo time where El Scorcho showed Santorelli some Bullet Time (Slow motion reversals capped off with thrust kick) and got the ever valuable win.

We cut to Lt. Geoffery C. Westminister II frantically awaiting the arrival of his scheduled tag team partner, Sir Cameron Lloyd Buckingham. Muttering to himself, he bemoans how the gentleman never was able to show up on time. With that being said, Geoffery turns around to see Sir Cameron looking around and calls his name. Pleasantries are exchanged and Lt. Westminister fills Sir Cameron in on the dealings of the "nasty and evilness" that is Discotheque. The segment ends with Sir Cameron promising Lt. Westminister that Discotheque shall be dealt with, for Queen and Country.

Discotheque © vs H.M.S. Wrestling Spirit

Discotheque try to start the match off in usual Discotheque fashion but H.M.S. Wrestling Spirit rush them to start off the match. From here it is a classic POW match, lots of high flying action and comedy - including one spot where KC Summer stole Sir Cameron's top hat and monocle and pretended to act like him before throwing them to the ground. Lt. Geoffery held his own during the match and came close to winning it for Her Majesty with some Formation Flying (Falling Headbutt) but in the end Geoffery was made to Listen To The Music (Dudley Dog).

Winners and still POW Sidekick Champions!: Discotheque

Rating: 57 (And this is the moment when I realised that I love Cameron Cody and Discotheque)

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DonnyChic.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/KCSummer.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/GeoffreyWestminsterII.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/CameronCody.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DISCOFox.jpg

H.M.S. Wrestling Spirit weren't done with Discotheque however and were determined to gain one up on their new rivals. After Sir Cameron took out KC with a snap enziguri, him and Lt. Westminster set their sights on Donny Chic - who didn't notice KC being taken out. Just as H.M.S. Wrestling Spirit were about to pounce, DISCO Fox ran out to save Discotheque from a severe beating. As H.M.S. Wrestling Spirit scattered, DISCO and Discotheque engaged in a celebratory dance-off, won by Donny Chic.

A hype video is shown for those who have bought the show on DVD, chronicling Alexia Dynamite's reign as POW Grand Champion, Sky Panther's win in the one-off Large Summit (And Medium Fries) Tournament to crown the number one contender to her belt and Sky Panther's win at The End Beckons A New Beginning. The video ends with Alexia's promo from The Paragonigal Podcast.

Sky Panther © vs Alexia Dynamite

Alexia doesn't even wait for Sky Panther to finish his entrance before launching her bid to regain "her bff" the Grand Championship. She uses the entire Jewish Centre in a bid to gain an upper hand in the match and it appears to work as she eventually rolls Sky Panther in the ring to officially start the match. Alexia takes the first fall by way of pinfall after picking Sky Panther up and hitting him square on the chin with A Fist Full of Dynamite (Discus Punch to the jaw).

Fall Count - Alexia Dynamite 1 Sky Panther 0

Sky Panther fights his way back into the match, peppering Dynamite with a variety of martial arts style kicks, punches and the occasional judo throw. Alexia once again took control though, by kicking the smarting ribs of Sky Panther. Growing cocky in control, Alexia took too long to shout at the audience and this led to Sky Panther rolling her up to take the second fall in the match.

Fall Count - Alexia Dynamite 1 Sky Panther 1

Alexia went into psycho mode after this, unleashing everything on Sky Panther. Throwing Sky Panther to the outside, she used the Jewish Centre as a weapon once again, only rolling into the ring to break Tiny Jackson's 20 count. Eventually satisfied with the damage down to Sky Panther, she went for the ULTRA SECRET FIST FULL OF DYNAMITE! (Fist Full of Dynamite with a loaded glove) but Tiny Jackson caught her attempts just before she could cheat to win the match. This allowed Sky Panther to summon up enough strength to slow down time. Running at full speed towards Alexia, he used the second rope as a springboard to launch a Slo-Motion Stunner. Time resumed its normal pace as soon as Alexia crashed to the mat, Sky Panther falling down on top of her to retain the Grand Championship.

Fall Count - Alexia Dynamite 1 Sky Panther 2

PREDICTION CONTEST

Phantom Stranger - 6/7

MJStark - 6/7

The Enforcer - 5/7 + 1 Bonus Point

Midnightnick - 5/7

Thanks to everyone who has predicted. I've decided that the contest will run to the October event, and the winner will get to name the team captains for the Cibernetico event which will be run in November.

I love Cameron Cody and Discotheque. A 57 rated match is a damn good match and it gives me hope for the storyline between them.

Any feedback on the event is welcomed, and encouraged. I'm always eager to find out what you guys think about everything I'm doing.

Anyone that has Black Idol on their roster is a must-read for me!

I'm a big fan of Black Idol. He's easily my favourite out of the first DLC pack. I picture him as a sort of UltraMantis Black figure.

Cameron Cody is an absolute beast in POW's early days. Well worth using heavily.

Having booked the next show as well, Cameron is in fact a beast. A strong hire for any small/regional promotion.

Out January event was a huge success, and here is a clip from the main event match from Flying Through The Art of Tradition, available now from In The Know Videos!

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/AlexiaDynamite.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/SkyPanther.jpg

Time resumed its normal pace as soon as Alexia crashed to the mat, Sky Panther falling down on top of her to retain the Grand Championship.

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DebbieMonroe.jpg

DM: A great match there from both Sky Panther and Alexia Dynamite, although one does have to wonder what it will do for Alexia's confidence. Relating to Alexia in terms of confidence will be our resident college kids, The Frat Pack. We caught up with them during one of their training sessions to find out what they planned to do about The New Stars.

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/ScottBingington.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DariusKing.jpg

[We cut to an athletics track. The Frat Pack are already hard at work training as the POW camera team catch up with them. Darius is running up and down a small stretch of land with a keg on his back, whilst Scott is busy lying down. Shades are on, a usual sign that Bingington has partied a bit TOO much]

SB: Yo' camera dude. What time is it?

CD: It's two o'clock in the afternoon Mr. Bingington.

SB: Damn. It's too early for me brah. Yo D! Where is the pledge?

[Darius stops his exercise routine and points over to the 400m track where Freshman Patel is near collapsing]

DK: Sent the nerd to go do some fitness training.

SB: Cool man. Hey, what did you want to know camera dude. The New Stars? Those loser wannabees? Ah, we ain't too bothered about them brah. Three guys who are butt hurt about losing on some bogus TV show. They did take my party piece though.

[Darius runs over at this point and interrupts. Sweat is pouring all down his face. He doesn't notice]

DK: NERDS! TITLES! I WANT THEM BACK! HERE'S THE DEAL! ME AND SCOTTY HERE TAKE ON THE MEXICAN AND SCRAWNY LOOKING ONE! THE FRESHMAN CAN TAKE THE BRIT! WE'LL WIN! I RULE! WE'RE DONE HERE!

[The camera man doesn't quite know what to do after Darius' blantant show of ~MANLINESS~ and we fade back to Debbie]

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DebbieMonroe.jpg

DM: ...Strong words there from The Frat Pack there. And lucky for you viewers at home and/or space, as we also caught up with Discotheque and their new ally, the like minded DISCO Fox.

[The cameras meet the three in a very familiar nightclub – eagle eyed viewers may remember it as the place where DISCO Fox's sit down interview took place for the Become A Star competition]

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DonnyChic.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/KCSummer.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DISCOFox.jpg

DC: Ya' did good out there playah. Saved our souls from a seriously unfunky beat down, ya' dig.

DF: I dig playah, couldn't stand to see a fine moving cat such as yaself be beat down by a couple a British invaders. Man, those cats are uncool.

KC: Tell me 'bout it. Who wears a top hat anymore, and a monocle.

[All three nod in agreement at this statement, and Donny Chic takes centre stage]

DC: I don't know if you foo's were tryin' to make a name for yaself, or if ya' got a problem with me and my boy KC. But here's the skinny. All three of us want a piece of ya'. There's only two of ya'. Now, KC is part of a welcoming committee trios match so that leaves me and Foxy. Foxy wants the pompous one, and who am I to stand in the cat's way. So Geoffery, clean up ya' goggles, shine up the plane because once we hit Funkytown, there ain't no way back. Now, can you feel that playah?

DM: Strong words there from Discotheque, and you can see them in action on the second Saturday of February for POW Crispy Knights of The Creme Regime. Also on the card is literally Sky Panther's BIGGEST challenge as he faces the one woman wrecking machine known as W.M.D for the POW Grand Championship. This is a show you DO NOT want to miss.

The Frat Pack (Darius King and Scott Bingington) vs The New Stars (Dirk Robertson and José Ángel Garcés)

All four men go into the match with something to prove. And it shows in the action. Forgetting about the comedic side of the match, Darius is an unstoppable beast in the match, tearing into Dirk and José with a frightening intensity. The New Stars eventually used their “Superior Teamwork Initiative” to try and win the match but Darius put an end to any comeback after a charging into both Dirk and José, following Dirk to the outside of the ring. This allowed Scott to come into the ring, POW rules state that if one partner leaves the ring then the other can come in, and secure the victory for The Frat Pack.

Winners: Darius King & Scott Bingington

Rating: 33

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/FreshmanPatel.jpg vs http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/ThomasBeaumont.jpg

Freshman Patel vs Thomas Beaumont

The second in the series of matches between The Frat Pack and The New Stars proved to be as serious a contest as the last match. Beaumont brought the clinical effectiveness of the British Wrestling style into the ring and the rookie Patel couldn't cope with the style. Beaumont got the win after locking Patel into the Oxford Leglock.

Winner: Thomas Beaumont

Rating: 34

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/RichieSantanaJr.jpg vs http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/EarlRayTravis.jpg

Richie Santana Jr. vs Earl Ray Travis

Earl still showed his distaste towards “those city fellas” going into this match. Richie Santana didn't know what to expect from POW's resident hillbilly. The match itself was a solid contest with both men looking like they could come away from the match with the ever valuable win. Earl tried to distract Richie by sitting him down and telling him how his style of “wrasslin” was illegal but Richie was having none of it, eventually pancaking Earl Ray with a Flying Crossbody to grab his first win in POW.

Winner: Richie Santana Jr.

Rating: 40

A DVD exclusive followed up this match as Earl Ray arrived in the backstage area to find Sir Cameron Lloyd Buckingham waiting for him. Earl looked at Cameron with a large heap of suspicion.

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/EarlRayTravis.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/CameronCody.jpg

SCLB: “Ray Travis is it? I fought with your grandfather many moons ago. Lt. Geoffery alerted me to your presence here in POW with his initial correspondence. It is in fact the reason I am here. Your grandfather saved my life before, and now I shall return the favour. I saw your match last month against that ruffian Daniel James and I would like to extend an opportunity to you my good man. Join with me and Lt. Geoffery and POW will be our domain. Just think of all the things we could do for you. Me and Geoffery are planning another run at those miscreants in Discotheque. Help us out and we'll help you. Your grandfather will be proud of you. I know it.”

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/AngeloSantana.jpg vs http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/MikeSantorelli.jpg

Angelo Santana vs Mike Santorelli

Santorelli looked like he wanted to do anything but fight in this match as he swaggered his way out to the ring before engaging in what he called a “severe fist pumping sesh bro” before Angelo made his way out to the ring. Santorelli was still fist pumping as the bell rang, allowing Santana early control of the match. After Santana allowed Santorelli to stand, Santorelli offered to teach him the ways of The Jersey Shore. Angelo naively agreed and this was what lead to his downfall as after a couple of minutes of being taught the finest moves by Santorelli, Santana found himself on the receiving end of The Fist Pump, and his second loss in POW.

Winner: Mike Santorelli

Rating: 42

Another DVD exclusive awaits us after the match. We see a darkened room with three figures slightly visible in the darkness. Two appear to be kneeling at some kind of altar and the third stands alone.

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/BlackIdol.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/Frightening.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/Scaremare.jpg

The standing man turns around and begins to speak into the camera.

BI: “Paragons of Wrestling, a pitiful excuse of humanity. Here in my castle in the islands of madness I've watched and waited. I sent my agents to invade you. They have now returned to say that the time for my arrival is now. These so-called heroes have laid out the welcoming mat for me. Your destruction is imminent Paragons. I am the leader of the nation of madness. Fear me.”

The camera detects a noise and a door opens, revealing an older woman wearing a mask identical to the speaking man. Something is said about the speaking man and his friends' dinner being ready. The three sulk off, their EVIL promo ruined by food! Although Dreamscape look excited at the prospect of food. Maybe Mama Standing Man is a good cook?

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DanielJames.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/ElHotDog.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/KCSummer.jpg vs http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/BlackIdol.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/Frightening.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/Scaremare.jpg

Daniel James, El Hot Dog & KC Summer vs The Nation of Madness (Black Idol, Frightening and Scaremare)

James and Summer don't quite know what to make of Dreamscape's new partner whilst El Hot Dog promises to fight the evil doers. El Hot Dog also receives most of the punishment from The Nation of Madness, each member taking turns to work over The Delicious Luchador. Eventually however it looked like The Nation would fall as Daniel James and KC Summer took control of the match. Black Idol called for a time-out, gave some sort of liquid to both Frightening and Scaremare and unleashed them onto James and Summer. The re-energised Dreamscape fought James and Summer all the way out of the ring, leaving El Hot Dog wide open to Black Idol, who finished him off with a Madness Mash (Preying Mantis Bomb) for the win.

Winners: The Nation of Madness

Rating: 38

Donny Chic comes out to the ring, hugs KC on his way past and tells him he'll meet him at the club later on. Performing a quick jive before he gets in the ring, Donny looks like he has something to say.

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DonnyChic.jpg

DC: “Now playahs, I gots something I need t' say. I've seen wild things in my lifetime but NEVER have I seen an airplane pilot get all up in my grill. Lt. Geoffery did just that last month right here in Ohio. And I just wanna say Geoffery, that don't fly with me fool. Now I got you in this ring in a short few minutes, and my brother from another mother DISCO Fox takes on ya' bumbling fool of a partner but I wanna set one thing straight. You wanna another shot at me and KC? Earn it. Now get on out here.”

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DonnyChic.jpg vs http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/GeoffreyWestminsterII.jpg

Donny Chic vs Lt. Geoffery C. Westminster II

Donny as usual doesn't take the match seriously, even kicking things off with a “classic dance off, just for Geoffery”. Geoffery however wasn't for taking part in the dance off, planting Donny on the mat with a DDT. Unfortunately for Geoffery, this was about as much off a chance as he got as Donny took complete control of the match, taking the win after forcing Geoffery to Listen To The Music.

Winner: Donny Chic

Rating: 44

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DISCOFox.jpg vs http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/CameronCody.jpg

DISCO Fox vs Sir Cameron Lloyd Buckingham

The rookie Fox took the fight straight to Sir Cameron, flying at him as he is in the midst of removing his suit, hat and monocle. Fox stayed in control until he began to get cocky, dancing in the ring whilst Cameron was downed. Cameron stunned DISCO and sealed the win after the Old Time Trick (450 Splash).

Winner: Sir Cameron Lloyd Buckingham

Rating: 57 (MOTN)

Alexia Dynamite's face is the next thing viewers see, and surprisingly she is calm. Until she opens her mouth.

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/AlexiaDynamite.jpg

AD: “So the idiots on the booking committee see fit to make me fight El Scorcho, Sky Panther's loser of a partner. IT'S NOT FAIR. I SHOULD BE IN THE MAIN EVENT, SKY PANTHER SHOULD BE IN JAIL. He STOLE from me. The POW Grand Championship should still be with ME. I have it under good authority that time manipulation is against some law or something. El Scorcho, I don't feel sorry for you. Tonight, I'm unloading on you. And Sky Panther, consider this a warning. I WILL hurt EVERYONE you care about until I get MY title back.”

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/ElScorcho.jpg vs http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/AlexiaDynamite.jpg

El Scorcho vs Alexia Dynamite

El Scorcho is apprehensive about starting the match, and rightly so as a deranged Alexia is almost foaming at the mouth to get at him. When the bell rang, Alexia darted forward, and true to her word, unloaded everything she had on El Scorcho. Referee Tiny Jackson came close to disqualifying Alexia as she repeatedly ignored his counts, at one point verbally accusing Tiny of playing favourites. El Scorcho managed to slow time a little bit but he didn't have enough strength to hold on and as soon as time resumed to a normal pace, he was met with A Fist Full of Dynamite.

Winner: Alexia Dynamite

Rating; 46

Sky Panther © vs WMD

WMD brought the same level of aggression she always does into the match, nearly breaking Sky Panther in half within the first minute of the match. Sky Panther managed to weather the storm however, bringing WMD down with quickness, agility and a small amount of slow motion. Sky Panther grabbed the first fall after debuting The Sky's The Limit (Best Moonsault Ever)...

FALL COUNT – Sky Panther - 1 WMD - 0

...and WMD immediately brought the fall count to a level playing field as after both competitors got back up, she grabbed Panther and drove him into the mat with a devasting Powerbomb.

FALL COUNT – Sky Panther - 1 WMD – 1

With the fall count tied, both Sky Panther and WMD were desperate for the win. As a result, the intensity of the match ramped up to 11. Sky Panther showed why he was Grand Champion however as after using the last of his strength to slow WMD down as she charged towards him, he kicked her down and delivered the Slo-Motion Stunner to the delight of the Ohio Jewish Centre crowd.

FALL COUNT – Sky Panther – 2 WMD - 1

Winner and STILL POW GRAND CHAMPION! : Sky Panther

Rating: 50

As Sky Panther celebrated, WMD sat up with a look of sheer anger on her face. After grabbing Sky Panther and powerbombing him into oblivion, she marched over to The Chef and Buccaneer at the commentary station and snatched a microphone.

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/WMD.jpg

WMD: “That's the kind of wrestling that will kill the industry. Flippy guys using fancy tricks to defeat people like me. I'm sick of it. No longer will I watch in disgust at matches like that. I'm not going to stay in the asylum anymore. This is the last time you'll see me here in this two-bit promotion. I QUIT!”

With that, WMD spikes the microphone on the ground and leaves the Ohio Jewish Centre for the last time as a member of the POW roster.

Apologies for the delay between shows. Borderlands 2 is fun!

WMD was the quitter, as contract talks broke down (I refused to pay her $900 as I didn't have a storyline outlined for her). So no bonus points this round.

Also, credit to TheEnforcer for Dirk Robertson's sleazy upgrade. :p

THE PARAGONIGAL PODCAST

[The
for the podcast starts up, showing with it a highlight reel of some of POW's recent events and historic moments, including Sky Panther holding the POW Grand Championship high in the air last October. The music fades out and we see Debbie Monroe looking as if she wants to throw up. We soon see the reason why as Dirk Robertson and Jose Angel Garces swagger into view.]

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/DebbieMonroe.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/JoeySleazealt2_zps6b094280.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/JoseAngelGarces.jpg

DM: Welcome to another edition of The Paragonigal Podcast.

DR: Debbie sweetheart, aren't you going to introduce your two ever so fabulous guests. You're breaking my heart standing there pretending you don't want to speak to me or Jose.

JAG: Si senorita, it is truly a hard experience.

DM: Fine. These two idiots standing beside me are Dirk Robertson and Jose Angel Garces, who are here to give a short...lesson? You two are teachers?

DR: There's a lot to me you don't know Debbie dear. And now let me and Jose teach you jackals something about tag team wrestling.

[The camera cuts to an almost empty classroom, the only three people in the room are Dirk, Thomas and Jose. On the board the header “How To Have A S.T.D.” is written. Thomas looks like he doesn't want to be there.]

http://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/JoeySleazealt2_zps6b094280.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/JoseAngelGarces.jpghttp://i1102.photobucket.com/albums/g452/El_Scotcho/ThomasBeaumont.jpg

DR: Hello and welcome to the class. Today me and my partner Jose will teach you people out there on the internet how to have a Superior Teamwork Defense – S.T.D. for short.

Rule number one – Always have your partner's back. Be it in clubs, in the ring or just out and about you and your partner have to know each other inside and out. Unlike the previous POW Trios champions, Jose, Tommy Boy and I are always there for each other.

TB: I told you, never call me Tommy Boy. Ever.

DR: He's joking. Rule number two – Know what your opponents are going to do before they do, and counter with better teamwork. It's what makes us three the unsung champions of Become A Star! Can Johnny or Iago really say that they are part of the most promising trio of wrestlers EVER? As Iago would say, “One doth think not”.

JAG: Hey esse, did I ever tell you the story about Iago, six bottles of tequila and a donkey? It was some wild times hombre.

DR: Good times indeed Jose. And finally rule number three – Simply be better than your opponents in any way possible. Now I understand that when faced against us it is impossible to do so. Striving for second place isn't always a bad thing. Look at us in the ring and see what you can learn from our combination of deadly British wrestling, fast paced Lucha action and of course my dastardly good locks.

DR: Class dismissed.

[After the trios lesson from The New Stars, we go back to Debbie. Instead of the creeped out look she wore at the beginning of the video podcast, she has a look of relief. Mainly because Dirk has left and as such no one is making advances on her.]

DM: Thankfully Creep-A-Zoid One and Two are away and I get back to doing my job. Join us in a weeks time at the Ohio Jewish Centre as POW brings you Wrestling With A Hint of Minty Fresh. After the shock quitting of WMD, Sky Panther can rest easy as he won't need to defend his title this month. Instead Slo-Mo Dojo face the challenge of Mike Santorelli and the increasingly deranged Alexia Dynamite in the main event of the show. Also on the card, Discotheque take on H.M.S. Wrestling Spirit, with new additions to both trios as Disco Fox joins Donny and KC and Earl Ray has joined up with Sir Cameron and Lt. Geoffery. I almost feel sorry for H.M.S. Wrestling Spirit, they must have problems with communication. And we have a treat for you as The Luchador Standard, El Estandar himself is showing up in POW to take on the yet-to-be revealed individual, known only as “The Enforcer for Serious Wrestling”. So, come along and join us here at POW next Saturday.
