It's also National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and good luck to any brave souls out there who attempt to hit the 50,000 word goal for the event. But I'm posting to talk about Movember, the annual fundraising event for men's health issues where gentlemen worldwide grow their moustaches out for a good cause. If you're unfamiliar with the event, the main site can be found at www.movember.com, and the wikipedia page for Movember is at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Movember . I know there's some great facial hair out in the Grey Dog community, and I think it would be fun to put together a Grey Dog Movember team. Ladies, don't feel left out, if you care about the health of the men in your life you can join Movember as a Mo Sista. If you are able, I'd very much appreciate any support you can give - many, if not most of us, have lost male loved ones to cancer, and for me this is a small way I can honor their memory. For reference, here is my clean-shaven lip (I've trimmed down to an extended goatee, as it's rare for me to be entirely clean shaven) for November 1. I'd love to contribute more then that, but I don't have any money to really donate, so there isn't a point for me to sign up as well.
