Woti 3?

Recommended Posts

Hey just wondering if there was plans for a War of the Immortals mod for tew2013? I really enjoyed the others and was wondering if there will be a new one. If not then I am more than happy to construct one using tommy's old data. I dont wanna step on toes if there is plans afoot, and if there are then I am more than happy to help.

Tommy is a legendary mod maker. I know a lot of people on here don't remember his "The Fall" and "After the Fall" mods but they were spectacular and then his WOTI mods on top of that were just unbelievable. I've known Tommy for like 13 years now from a few different sites he's a super cool guy (check is in the mail right Tommy? :) )

Mike B - of course i would never dream of just stealing the tew 10 mod and sticking on the mod forum.

The fact that im fishing around to see if we are gonna get the excellence of WOTI 3, shows I have massive respect for tommy and in fact all mod makers. WOTI 2 was the only mod I really properly played for TEW10

Hey guys, glad you enjoyed the original. I'm actually playing WOTI2 in TEW13 after just converting my old data and it works pretty much as is, you just have to import all the sections its missing from the default data (first name/last names etc).

Feel free to use WOTI2 as the base for anything, I don't have time to make a sequel. If I was though I'd definitely be adding a promotion called NXT to mop up all those new workers that have debuted since WOTI2...

The other things that need attention are balancing out the overness levels, I think the top guys are fine (WOTI works as a mod because it has so many B to A+ popularity guys to sustain a few national promotions) but there is definitely some standardising of popularity needed, particularly for the D/C/C+ levels.

I'd based it on a rule that guys from the 90's and 00's had more exposure and therefore a lower card guy from the Attitude era should have higher popularity than a regional star from the 70's and 80's. BUT this resulted in some guys probably having higher popularity than they should. There's also a few random people who are way higher or way lower than they should be (not sure why I have Maryse at 70% nationwide...), so I'd check that too. Good luck ;)

Thanks tommy.

In the game I converted and half updated I added NXT and a WWE PG era. Also I added AJPW & NJPW. And just for trying things added a small UFC. With Dana and Lorenzo running it.

I wanted to use the alliance feature that was the main reason for converting the files

I changed JCP and created Mid-Atlantic, Florida, and Georgia. Including Mid South to create the NWA.

From WCW, WCW/nWo & WCW NBR I made a Time Warner alliance

And then I made a WWE Universe Alliance with WWWF, WWE, WWF:NG, WWF:ATT, WWF:Classic, WWE:PG & WWE:NXT

Each alliance has a slightly different agreements.

I also got rid of ECW Reborn and added in CZW. Im currently thinking about make CZW or XPW debut 2 years into the game as ECW goes out of business quite a few times I ran a year simulation.

Anyway id be really interested in ppls opinions.

I think using Alliances is obviously a good idea considering the new system but I think you've made them a bit too big. There needs to be a trade-off, all you've done is make it a lot easier to play a WWE or WCW promotion at the moment.

A WWE alliance that incorporates all of them isn't going to make the game play better. It makes it too easy for WWF Attitude and WWF Classic in national battles as they won't take damage from each other. The fun of WOTI is that any of the Cult promotions can make it to national, and then the national battles have these disastrous effects (hence the in-built Wars between promotions) that allow new feds to rise up. It's the 'War' in WOTI which you're sacrificing for the Alliances.

Killing ECW Reborn and adding the other extreme feds is a great idea though. Splitting NWA is controversial (NWA was my favourite promotion but I can see why you did it) but it's your mod :)

Not sure if WWE:PG and WWE need to be seperate feds really though, there hasn't been a massive emergence of new stars in the PG era and most of them would already be in WWE?

As for AWA, im just running a new test year 2 so far. I will get back to you when it gets 5 years in.</p><p> </p><p>

From what I can remember from other tests, they gain cult status and keep that popularity strong. Like i say im not sure so ill post pics from the latest test....if im authorized <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>I got them to National 2x (AWA) totally killing the wwf in regional wars.</p><p> </p><p>

In Tommys woti the AWA has the right talent for the right product. They may not have megs names like Hogan,Rock or Flair but there wrestlers can work.</p>

Cheers tommy for the input. I took your original comments and applied it to the mod. Tweaked the popularity here and there, changed some of the alliance agreements. Im wanting to do a good job here, but following you is like Mason Ryan and The Miz trying to follow Danielson vs Punk. :D

And cheers Mike for the interest, I just hope I live upto it

A Hype thread is coming soon - so I guess this is a hype for a hype thread :p

Hype thread = AWESOME

Are you going to be having more smaller feds in your mod also.

1 thing bummed me out in Woti was that so many great workers were either dead or retired.

Maybe you can un retire alot of workers and just make up road agents and bookers. I would not mind that.

The ages of the workers in WOTI 2 obviously were altered to allow different generation of wrestlers to all work together. With the 3 year difference between the mods I have gone through and altered some of the ages to make sure workers don't retire 2 years into the mod - this is something that is constantly changing when testing the game, so hopefully workers will have a longer career.

As for smaller promotions, I have included promotions of all sizes. I enjoy trying to take a regional NWA territory promotion to national size, and this includes modern era "indies" as well. So hopefully there is enough variety to satisfy everyone's needs.

Im gonna save all the major info when the hype thread happens (I feel like im debuting a mod in the style of Fandango or Brodus Clay)

Keep checking the forum it wont be long
