Main Show

Ernesto: Welcome folks, we are coming to you this time from San Diego, California where we have sold out the San Diego High School auditorium.

Camilo: Yes and we have got some explosive action for you. We start with Erik Wayne taking on Tony Ramos once again for his Red Phoenix title and this time it's a Falls Count Anywhere.

Ernesto: Erik lost the tag match against Riley and his cronies and as a result, he now has to put his title against each of Riley's men and his path starts once again with the beast Ramos standing as a big hurdle. Can he repeat his victory??

GWS Red Phoenix Title Falls Count Anywhere Match: Erik Wayne Vs. Tony Ramos

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Erik Wayne defeated Tony Ramos in a Falls Count Anywhere match in 10:50 by pinfall with a fast roll up. Erik Wayne makes defence number 9 of his GWS Red Phoenix title.

Winner: Erik Wayne (makes defense no.9 of his Red Phoenix title)

Grade: 38

Erik continued his good run against Ramos even though he barely managed to scrape past. Ramos took advantage of the stipulations dropping Erik on guardrails and the wooden flooring and just as it was looking that Ramos has the match in it's pocket, he tried spearing Erik through the barricade, he side-stepped and Ramos caught full body on the barricade. Erik pounced at the opportunity and pinned Ramos with a sudden roll up.

Riptide came along to congratulate his friend but Ramos was in a really foul mood and he took out all his anger on Erik hitting him with huge chops and finishing with Mountain Bomb on the wooden floor. He went after Riptide but he had already left the ring.

Attack: 33

Riptide started speaking after maintaining a safe distance from Ramos.

Riptide: Ramos!!! You think yourself as a beast who can just come in and destroy anybody he wants but where has that taken you?? You have now lost 2 months in a row to Erik. You have now got two chances, yet you floundered both of them. You are just a hot-headed muscle head who is all smoke and no fire. Riley is just using you to protect himself. You are there to soften up Erik so that Riley or T-Bomb can win the belt. You are just protecting their interests and this has to end. I cannot allow you to be a liability for us and so, i have talked with the management. At our 1st big event of the year, Free The People, you face me and if you lose, you cannot lay a hand even once on Erik. So, Ramos man up, we meet in two weeks.

Challenge: 23

Ernesto: What a start to the show. Erik retains, Ramos continues his assault and Riptide challenges Ramos with an unique stipulation. The situation has become fiery.

Camilo: Well, yes and now we are witness to an international match-up as the Australian Ricky Binks takes on the Puerto Rican Rico Escobar. Who will prove himself the better wrestler??

Ricky Binks Vs. Rico Escobar

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Ricky Binks defeated Rico Escobar in 12:02 by pinfall with a Sydney Splash.

Winner: Ricky Binks

Grade: 34

Ricky Binks proved that he can hang with the best of GWS as in his debut singles match here, he got the better of the dangerous Rico Escobar.

Big Al: Robbie & Ray, you command our respect. As the champ last year, you brought the focus on the tag division and had some great matches. But one thing you must know that only the champs deserve the highest respect from the crowds and this time, it is the team of the season, us, Furlong Brothers who deserve the adulation and respect. Also, take note that not only are we the champs here in GWS but we also hold the straps in HCG. That alone gives us unparalleled recognition and we are sure to keep that for ourselves.

Big Harris: So, strap yourselves and get ready for the ride.

Hype: 33

GWS Top Militia Title Match: Furlong Brothers Vs. Martel & Lisbon

Ares: Pierre!!!!Richie!!!! You were warned. Don't mess with me but you did not pay heed. Now, you have to suffer. Our match tonight is just an excuse for us to beat you black and blue. You have already seen Crowley and you all know about me. Alone, we are dangerous, united we are unstoppable. So, i will warn you again Just Stay Clear.......or like these two, You Will Face your worst Fears....!!!!!!!

Richie Santana Jr. & Pierre Lejosne Vs. Ares & Paul Crowley

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Richie Santana Jr and Pierre Lejosne defeated Ares and Paul Crowley in 15:31 when Richie Santana Jr defeated Paul Crowley by pinfall with a Flying Crossbody.

Winner: Richie Santana Jr. & Pierre Lejosne

Grade: 52

A main event match between three of our top stars and a young superstar in the making. Though the presence of Paul Crowley brought down the match rating, but the presence of other three stars made up for it. Paul Crowley impressed in small bursts but Ares once again did the heavy lifting for his side and the end came when Ares looking to finish Pierre headed out of the ring after Pierre who was recovering from a Crowley onslaught on the floor. With Crowley and Richie alone, Richie hit some deft kicks before Irish Whipping Crowley to the ropes and hitting a high knee on rebound. He finished the match with a Flying Crossbody.

After losing the match, Ares was very frustrated and he and Crowley tried to beat their opponents but Pierre and Richie were ready for the incoming attack and took care of it easily but just then, we saw a heavily tattooed man rushing into the ring and smashes both Richie and Pierre with a chair making a heavy dent in it. On further examination, it was Rico Escobar.

http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o566/kanegan/TEW/T-verse%20People/RicoEscobar_zps9fd54ba7.jpg

Attack: 52

The show ended with both of our stars lying in the pool pf their own blood and Ares, Paul and Rico standing tall laughing maniacally.

SHOW GRADE: 48

Great start Kanegan! Pierre Lejosne and Paul Crowley could make for an excellent feud...assuming you can keep hold of them both for long enough! As mentioned before, we've all been hit by the one-star bandit at some point, so welcome to the club :D

Somehow Gureisu is unrated. The one star bandit must like me as a poster. :D

Loving this kanegan, Ares is the standout for me.

Maybe you're on his block list? :p

Thanks everybody for their unwavering support and motivation.

I have already accepted it and moved on so, it does not waver me a single bit.

Also, all the Thunderverse diary writers are really building up a small but fantastic community by themselves supporting each other and i hope it continues for a long time.

Bear Rusev & Riley Johansen vs. Angelo Santana & Joey Devastation

In a match that had an average crowd reaction but featured terrible wrestling, Bear Rusev and Riley Johansen defeated Angelo Santana and Joey Devastation in 9:46 when Riley Johansen defeated Angelo Santana by submission with a Ri-Rack.

Winner: Riley Johansen & Bear Rusev

Grade: 33

The Santana training through jobbing course continued and this time he got a tag match and they didn’t suck. So, Santana and Devastation, a possible team for future!! Possible!!

Main Show

Ernesto: Welcome everyone!! This is GWS Free The People, our first big show of the year and mark it down, this is gonna be explosive.

Camilo: Yes, homies, come on get out and put your hard earned money to good use and buy the DVD because it will f***kng blow your brains off.

Ernesto: Hey bro, calm down. We have a long night. Save some excitement for later. Now up first, Riptide takes on Tony Ramos. He laid out the challenge last month and if Ramos loses tonight, he cannot lay a hand on Erik.

Camilo: That’s a pretty interesting stip there but we have to wonder whether Riptide has bit more than he can chew. If he wins, he saves his friend but he puts himself in the firing line and if he loses, Erik will have hell to pay.

http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o566/kanegan/TEW/T-verse%20People/Riptide_zpsbff4fc13.jpg Vs. http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o566/kanegan/TEW/T-verse%20People/TonyRamos_zpse2915d24.jpg

Riptide vs. Tony Ramos

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Riptide defeated Tony Ramos in 9:40 by pinfall with a Wipeout.

Winner: Riptide

Grade: 42

A short but great match to start the show and Riptide scored a big upset capitalizing on the temper of Ramos who was only looking to hurt Riptide badly, never bothering to pin when it was for the taking. After recovering, Riptide hit a couple of stiff kicks to bring Ramos down, after which he finished with a Wipeout(Shining Wizard).

Camilo: Riptide wins. That means Erik is safe.

Ernesto: Yes, but where does it take him?? He has saved his friend but has he put himself in the firing line??

http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o566/kanegan/TEW/T-verse%20People/RobbieMartel_zpsb2f768c4.jpghttp://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o566/kanegan/TEW/T-verse%20People/RayLisbon_zps24fdd239.jpg Vs. http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o566/kanegan/TEW/T-verse%20People/BrandonMorgan_zpsc0b1707e.jpghttp://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o566/kanegan/TEW/T-verse%20People/JamesOShea_zps8a9ad0cf.jpg W/ http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o566/kanegan/TEW/T-verse%20People/AntonMorozov_zpse8f1da25.jpg

Martel & Lisbon vs. Club Animals w/ Anton Morozov

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Martel & Lisbon defeated Culture Club in 11:54 when Ray Lisbon defeated Brandon Morgan by pinfall with a Continental Airdive.

Winner: Martel & Lisbon

Grade: 38

Morozov again tried his shenanigans trying to hit both Martel & Lisbon whenever possible with his stick but that failed miserably as the experienced duo had all the measures of the Russian. In the end, it was a straight forward victory for them.

Camilo: Club Animals suffer another defeat and Morozov’s plan failed again. We don’t know how much time will it take for these three to make a turnaround.

After the ring has been cleared, Erik Wayne walks up to the ring with his belt on his shoulders.

http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o566/kanegan/TEW/T-verse%20People/ErikWayne_zps5804cbdb.jpg

Erik: Well done Riptide and I thank you for the bottom of my heart for standing up for me. What you did for me was truly remarkable and you can be sure to find me watching your back. It really feels great to finally shake up that muscle head hobo. Despite losing to me twice, he kept on assaulting me and this is not at all acceptable. Anyways, now that the baboon is off, I warn you Riley and T-Bomb. You can me put me through hell but you will never get my title. Now I will beat T-Bomb and next month, it’s your turn Riley and I will beat you too but after that I vacate my title because i crave for the spotlight that I had waited for and now is the time that I make my move.

Promo: 26

Not too good from Erik. Failed to connect with the crowd but sooner or later he has to learn to speak otherwise, its curtains for him.

GWS Red Phoenix Title: Erik Wayne vs. T-Bomb w/ Riley Johansen

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Erik Wayne defeated T-Bomb in 10:49 by pinfall with a Reality Hits You Hard.

Winner: Erik Wayne (makes defense no. 10 of Red Phoenix Title)

Grade: 40

With the new found confidence after Riptide got the better of Ramos, Erik came all guns blazing in the match never allowing T-Bomb to dominate. Riley tried to strike Erik with the belt but he ducked and instead T-Bomb got the full brunt of the attack. It was an easy finish for Erik afterwards.

Camilo: Another good performance by Erik. He thanked Riptide for saving his ass and backed it up with a great performance. Riley is really wondering as to how his plan failed and he now has to go back to the drawing board as he is the only person remaining to challenge Erik.

GWS Top Milita Title Match: Furlong Brothers vs. Paul Crowley & Rico Escobar

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, The Furlong Brothers defeated Rico Escobar and Paul Crowley in 12:08 when Big Harris defeated Rico Escobar by pinfall with The Final Scene.

Winner: Furlong Brothers (makes defence no. 4 of Top Militia Titles)

Grade: 48

A great match between these four. Our tag division is really coming of age and with the addition of these two, it is destined to rise to greater heights. Rico and Paul wrestled with intent, isolating Big Al and taking turns to completely annihilate him but as it was looking that they were out of the match, Al made his big comeback and planted Rico with a dangerous looking DDT before tagging his brother. Harris cleaned house and finished the match with a Final Scene(Pedigree) on Rico.

Camilo: Chalk up another defense for Furlong Brothers. They are looking good for a long reign.

Ernesto: But they must watch their backs at all time Camilo, as too many hunters are moving around here in GWS and all of them have a common target.

Camilo: And now, it’s time for the co-main event, Ricky Binks steps up to challenge Richie.

GWS People’s Representative Title Ladder Match: Richie Santana Jr. vs. Ricky Binks

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Richie Santana Jr defeated Ricky Binks in 13:18 when he retrieved the belt. During the match we also had Ares distract Richie Santana Jr.

Winner: Richie Santana Jr (makes defense number 3 of his GWS People's Representative title

Grade: 51

Ricky Binks gave a good fight to Richie, at one time just seconds away from retrieving the belt but Ares got involved and smashed a Big Boot which took Ricky out of the match enabling Richie to take the belt, though he missed the attack of Ares. But he was livid when he saw Ares smirking.

http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o566/kanegan/TEW/T-verse%20People/Ares_zps6d790042.jpg

Ares: Hey Richie, how are you doing?? Feeling good upon retaining the title. No need to thank me now, I helped you because of my own motive, not because I feel for you.

Richie is bursting with anger but Ares keeps on rambling.

Ares: I want you to keep that title all shiny and polished because I will be the one to take it from you at my own convenience. Me and my brothers, we have come here to raise hell and take names, because we are Hell’s Army and your worst fears have come alive.

At that point, Pierre walked up on the aisle.

http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o566/kanegan/TEW/T-verse%20People/PierreLejosne_zps270af2b9.jpg

Pierre: Ares, it will be you who will have hell to pay for. You assaulted us, disrespected our family, our legacy, our birthplace and yet you expect us to cower in fear without giving you an answer. You are completely out of your freaking mind, Ares. You brought in hoodlums to do your bidding because you yourself don’t have any balls to face us one to one. All this act of “ we gonna bring hell” is only to hide your flaws and your fear, fear of failure. I exposed it last year number of times, and I will not hesitate to do it again.

Promo: 50

Ernesto: Intense talking from both Ares and Pierre, this is the match we had been waiting for all night.

Camilo: Yes, indeed it will be a f**king war between these two.

Ares vs. Pierre Lejosne

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Ares defeated Pierre Lejosne in 15:11 by pinfall with a High Release German Suplex.

Winner: Ares

Grade: 57

It was literally an all out war. Ares brawled to his heart’s content overshadowing the technical wrestling of Pierre. Gone was the person who always lacked confidence and instead, we saw a vicious human being who could pummel his opponent to death if he wants with his bare hands. He rode his strong momentum and hit big moves after big moves on Pierre taking him completely out of the game. A High Release German Suplex from the top rope to end the match.

Camilo: Ares wins. He finally shuts up Pierre for good and he will make sure to let us know about the same. That’s all we have tonight folks. See you again next time. Hope you enjoyed the show.

SHOW GRADE: 53

A good show to end the March but the Warfare event was not too good so lets take a look at where it takes us in Regional battle.

F**king shit. We have been pushed down to last in this month. Even with dwindling attendances and hemorrhaging finances, still the shithole HCG managed a 55 rated event overtaking us.

There was no difference in the top 2 positions. Wrestle-X retained their pole position.

The results from the big event are as follows:

Wrestle-X Extinct But Not Dead

California Kid, Confederate Superstar & T-Bomb defeated Black Idol, Joey Sleaze & Johnny Cross - 44

Tommy Schultz defeated Riptide and Mike Suzuki - 40

Derek Grace and El Hijo Del Prodigio defeated Dirk Roberston and Scorpion - 64

American AllStar defeated El Mariachi to retain the Wrestle-X World Title - 64

Show Rating: 62

No change in their rating from last month.

The Club did not held any big shows this month. The only big news was the change in tag titles as the team of Corbin Trent and Brad Novocaine - Project FIGHT won the titles from Double Life(Christian and Stevie Vortex).

HCG Disposable Heroes 2

Brian King, Big Harris and Little Italy defeated Jeff Starfield, Joey Devastation and Maori Warrior - 34

Lance Idol defeated Artemis Dream - 29

Fargo Korben defeated Johnny Axe - 32

Big Al went to a time limit draw with Robbie Martel - 44

Mike Santorelli defeated American Standard to retain the HCG Hollywood Title - 56

Show Rating: 55

We at GWS believes in the wisdom of these industry. We believe that this industry makes the world a very small place as day and night you will find wrestlers travelling all over the world plying their trades and entertaining their fans. Diversity is immense here as you can find out different promotions exist with different characters and products in different parts of the world but all with one common goal, that of entertaining their fans. We also believe as a responsible member of this industry that our fans must know about the depth and diversity that wrestling has to offer and we should make a small contribution in imparting that knowledge. So, GWS has started a new monthly blog series called Spotlight which will feature story about a different promotion every time, and what's more, the promotion will be selected by our contest winners.

So, without further delay, as per the request of our winner, The Enforcer, we bring to you a new promotion out of Mexico with an uniques product.

Proving that not all lucha libre companies need to be uptight and traditional, LLED aims to show the more light hearted side to lucha libre. Their product is similar to Paragons of Wrestling(POW) of US. They mix comedy and lucha libre into a surprisingly effective package.

When the former ILL Campeon del Mundo winner Astronauta opened the promotion last year, he did not wanted just another lucha libre company, he wanted something different, something out of the box. Having been a huge fan of POW in US, he decided to bring the same kind of goofy lucha wrestling to Mexican shores and thus was born LLED, a promotion unique to Mexico, the likes of which have never been seen before.

Having no booking skills. he knew that to make the promotion work, he would have to look for a bizarre character who could do full justice to the product and he signed as booker, the only person fit for such duty,

Adorable Cassandro

http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o566/kanegan/TEW/Spotlight/AdorableCassandro_zpsea3ab95a.jpg

Adorable Cassandro is one of the most bizarre characters in lucha libre. He got his start in ILL and till this day, still wrestle for them alongwith this job.

Even though everybody expected the crowd to react negatively to the over the top femininity of Cassandro, but to his credit, his comic timing and charisma meant he made it work so much that the crowd turned him technico even before creative had done it. Even though he has never won a world title, his loyalty to ILL meant he was awarded with multiple tag and trios title reigns.

As the booker his first ever signing was the bottle smashing superstar,

Champagne

Champagne was one of the big stars of the 90's and his act of winning matches by smashing champagne bottles on his opponent's head became so popular that even though, it was heelish, he became one of the first workers in Mexico to be regularly labelled as "tweener". But as the decade wore on, his love for drinking increased and he became a sorry shell of his former self.

Desperate for one last good run, to his credit, he cleaned himself up quite well and single-handedly drove LLED to prominence in the initial months, feuding with El Toro Tejano, Ajedrez and Bello Rubi for his Campeon de Mexico LLED title. His performance proved the doubters wrong and his dream of one last prominent run was fulfilled when CLLM signed him to a written contract in February of 2014.

Generation Next

http://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o566/kanegan/TEW/Spotlight/Ciclope_zps18833902.jpghttp://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o566/kanegan/TEW/Spotlight/ElLagarto_zpsd2a6d235.jpghttp://i1148.photobucket.com/albums/o566/kanegan/TEW/Spotlight/ElToroTejano_zps6bb0a792.jpg

With the main belt being vacated due to Champagne leaving, Cassandro gave the spotlight to these three young stars and so far they have dealt with it quite well.

El Toro Tejano - The Texan Bull, real name Juan Cortez is a star in the making. A very strong talent with great charisma, he was destined to be a headliner for CLLM , right from the time when he graduated from their dojo in 2005. He even won their trios titles but he burned his bridges when he decided to sign with ILL with whom CLLM had hostile relationships. CLLM did not renew his contract after this act and Tejano made his way to ILL and then to LLED where he is the current Campeon de Mexico LLED champ.

El Lagarto - The Lizard is one of the weirdest characters debuting in CLLM. Slithering his way into the ring with Javier the Komodo dragon, Lagarto also mimics various reptiles by hissing, sliding or clawing at the audience.

He became one of the youngest Campeon del Mundos in Mexico in 2010, when he won the title in CLLM aged just 21. But his backstage attitude meant he was a hateful figure with the locker room. CLLM did not renew his contract and he made his way into LLED where his antics made him into one of the biggest rudo of the young promotion.

Ciclope - Another one of the young stars who has all the tools required to make it big if he can get right people behind him.

Their tag division is also starting to develop slowly with teams like Elite(Perro de la Guerra + Devorador) , Modern Ninja Killers(Sharp Metal Object Jr. + Hector Perez) and The Dark Ones(Ajedrez + Buitre) starting to make waves on the Mexican scene.

We hope all the young stars carve out a nice career path for themselves and take LLED into a new light.

I liked it ;) Personally I would have gone for SPLASH!, but that's only because they are the one Japanese promotion I've ever tried to run. Good to see Adorable Cassandro as the booker of that kind of product, the AI got it right for a change :D

OOC: We got our first setback when Pierre signed an exclusive PPA contract with f**king LWA in Puerto Rico. Well, who would have thought that he will leave GWS not for the big four but to go to Puerto Rico. Well, anyways we have to pull our socks now that Pierre is not here.

The former Waveriders collide for the first time in 2014. With both having chosen their sides, this meeting could be explosive.

A marquee match-up between one half of the two best tag teams in GWS. This bout will go a long way in determining the next top contender for the top belt. Who will stake his claim??

Who is this newcomer and how will he fare in this match??

Riptide vs. T-Bomb

More experience...

Ricky Binks vs. Ray Lisbon

Bigger name...

GWS People's Representative Gauntlet Match: Richie Santana Jr. vs. Hell's Army(Paul Crowley & Rico Escobar)

Not sure so I'll go for a defence. You do know that if you are using the handicap gauntlet match that you can't put the title on the line, right? If you want one of the other two to win you'll have to either cheat and change the title after the show, or you'll have to book a triple threat match...

Furlong Brothers vs. Ares & ???

Mr Squiggles to get a debut victory...

Bonus Question

Who will debut as "Prince of Hell"?? Has to be Ashmedai surely?
