Carving out Guerrilla Glory[Thunderverse]

Recommended Posts

I really enjoyed the Video Vault too, as well as the Spotlight (although why the AI insists on booking tag matches at the end of the card instead of the World title is beyond me). Reading back through the last show, I've decided I don't want Robbie 3M to ever lose the belt, but go on to win the Tag titles (on his own) and then the "World" title. :D

Oh, and just so you know, your quick picks currently has Paul Crowley on both sides of the main event. He's good, but maybe not that good :p

GWS Red Phoenix Triple Threat: Robbie 3M© vs. Riptide vs. Ray Lisbon

Ricky Binks vs. T-Bomb vs. Angelo Santana

GWS Top Militia Ladder Match: Furlong Brothers© vs. Mountains of Muscle vs. Notoriety Inc.

Paul Crowley & Richie Santana Jr. vs. Ares & Ashmedia

BONUS QUESTIONS

Will Red Storm be making his debut in this show?? If yes, then who is it. Yes, but we won't find out his identity until next month.

Good suggestion! I'm not going to steal it and change my own predictions, but it seems like quite a good choice to me.

Yes, sorry for that. The picks have been corrected now. And yes, it's a problem i have seen across my multiple saves that AI books a different match as a main event instead of a title match.

Thanks for the support. I am really excited for the Video Vault feature and i have some great writings coming up(great in my own mind, not sure if it can come across as same to others)

Ok, another 24 hours before the show is up so anybody wanting to predict can do so.

Also, thanks for the nomination in DOTM jhd1

Also, a new feature has been added to the dynasty called Video Vault and the first two segments are up.

So, when you make predictions for the show, also kindly give your feedback on the Video Vault.

I like the Video Vaults, very similar to the short segments I have on the Gureisu Event Centres. A good way to get a character's gimmick/points across without sacrificing showtime to it.

Presents

Warfare

Held on Friday, Week 4, September 2014

Live from Kelley Auditorium, Arizona , South-West

Attendance: 959

Main Show

No dark matches tonight as we directly go to the announce booth.

Camilo: Welcome everybody to another edition of Warfare.

Ernesto: Yes, and as have been the tradition, tonight we again present to you line-up of explosive matches.

Camilo: Yes, and we are happy to let you know that our new feature on our website, Video Vault has been a huge success and ever since the videos went viral, we have been getting countless hits on our website.

Some generic Russian music plays and out comes Anton.

Camilo: And here comes Anton. We saw him approaching Ray in the video. His agenda will become clear as I am sure he has something to say.

Amidst loud boos, Anton arrives in the middle of the ring.

Anton: Huesos(cocksuckers), Oyobuk(f**king retards), Past’ zakroi(shut it). A man of my class should enjoy a obedient audience, not cretins like you. Anyways, I don’t want to waste my time with you so I would like to call our respected Red Phoenix champ, Robbie who calls himself King of Multi-Man Matches, more like King of Multiple Penetrations, as he gets his holes penetrated in multiple ways before every match as a bribe to let him win. So, since that is out of the closet, I would like you to prove your performance in front of everybody. So, please come out and show the world your special skills.

Having heard enough, Robbie rushed to the ring but this was a big mistake as waiting in the shadows were Ray Lisbon and Bear Rusev who pounced on him like wild cats and showered him with punches and strikes.

Grade: 28

Camilo: Oh my god! What a heinous ploy by Anton to assault Robbie.

Ernesto: And it seems Ray has joined Anton. With Bear already there, watch out for this trio.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Robbie Martel defeated Riptide and Ray Lisbon in a Three Way match in 13:11 when Robbie Martel defeated Riptide by pinfall with a Top Rope Elbow.

Winner: Robbie Martel (makes defence no. 6 of GWS Red Phoenix title.)

Grade: 37

With the pre-match assault on Robbie, he was totally out of the match. Ray literally toyed with Riptide making fun of him, slapping him and playing to the crowd. With Anton looking to strike Robbie out of the ring, Debbie took matters in his own hand when she hit a low blow on Anton. With Anton dropping like a bowling pin, she encouraged Robbie to wake up and with the crowd support behind him, Robbie entered the ring and started unloading. Ray went for a clothesline but Robbie backdropped him outside the ring onto Anton. With only Riptide left, Robbie went for his Top Rope Elbow and hit it for the win

Camilo: Oh good old lord!! You still exist!! Even after that heinous assault, Robbie comes back and takes the match.

Ernesto: Yes, brother. Few months ago, I had expressed doubt on Robbie’s ability but after tonight, all of them have been cleared. He is the heart of GWS.

Camilo: Yes and now for a feel good moment. Angelo Santana makes his main show debut.

Ernesto: But it is baptism by fire, brother when you consider the other two competitors in the match.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Ricky Binks defeated Angelo Santana and T-Bomb in a Three Way match in 13:48 when Ricky Binks defeated Angelo Santana by pinfall with a Sydney Splash.

Winner: Ricky Binks

Grade: 43

Angelo Santana looked impressive out there but the match was always going to be about Ricky who took the match easily. T-Bomb tried his best but he only succeeded in avoiding the pinfall and not the victory of Ricky Binks.

Camilo: An easy victory for Ricky. But up next, a potential explosive match in the making.

Ernesto: That’s right. A ladder match for the Top Militia titles. Furlong Brothers takes on Mountains of Muscle and Notoriety Inc and the animosity between these two have made the bout a must watch.

GWS Top Militia Title Ladder Match: Furlong Brothers vs. Notoriety Inc. vs. Mountains of Muscle

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Mountains of Muscle defeated The Furlong Brothers and Notoriety Inc. in a Ladder match in 13:35 when Riley Johansen retrieved the item.

Winner: Mountains of Muscle (wins the GWS Top Militia titles.)

Grade: 45

Furlong Brothers caught caught between the bloodlust rivalry of Notoriety Inc. and Mountains of Muscle which forced them to be taken out very early in the match. Especially, multiple Singapore Cane shots by Crazy Jack followed by a Death Valley Driver on the ladder took out Big Al while a brutal Mountain Bomb by Tony Ramos through two tables kept on the ringside annihilated Big Harris to the point of no return. It was evident that we would get new champions in the show. All four of them started attacking each other like hungry wolves. While Notoriety Inc. brought out their weapons, Rico his chains and Jack his cane, Tony used his size and build to his advantage absorbing the weapon shots and dishing out punishment with his bare hands. With both the members of Notoriety inc. busy with Ramos, the ending came when Ramos grabbed both the weapons and Mountain Bombed Jack but in the process, lost his footing and crashed below and unfortunately for Rico, on top of him. With Riley the only man standing, he quickly climbed the ladder and grabbed the titles.

Camilo: What a match!! Unfortunately and with heavy heart from now on, we have to announce Mountains of Muscle as tag champs.

Ernesto: Yes, Riley showed he was an opportunist. He was present at the right place at the right time to make it count.

Camilo: But up next, the main event and the explosive promo of Ares has made this one more interesting.

Ernesto: And of course Ares has warned us about a Storm or Red Storm to be precise. Will he be making his presence known tonight??

Camilo: for the people who missed the video, we present it to you once again.

The Ares video is recapped through the projector and it was evident that Ares had a natural ability to get under anybody’s skin and at the same time be scary.

Grade: 44

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Richie Santana Jr and Paul Crowley defeated Ares and Ashmedai in 16:12 when Paul Crowley defeated Ashmedai by submission with a Prince's Lock.

Winner: Paul Crowley & Richie Santana Jr.

Grade: 59

The match was of two different combinations. While Richie and Ares squared off again, Paul took on Ashmedai. A brutal Ares-plex on Richie almost brought the match to an end but Paul broke the pin. Richie returned the favor when he executed a picture perfect Flying Santana on Ashmedai but Ares broke the pin this time. With the bout having reached a stalemate, Paul took the initiative and delivered a Frankensteiner on Ares. With Richie taking care of him further, Paul re-entered the ring and calf-kicked Ashmedai before locking on his Prince Lock. With nowhere to go, Ashmedai had to tap.

Camilo: A big win for Richie & Paul there and thankfully, no Red Storm yet. Perhaps he is not present here.

And as soon as those words came out of Camilo’s mouth, the lights went out and when they came back, we saw Paul and Richie laid out in their own pool of blood right in the middle of the ring and a figure standing between the two. Suddenly red lights start flickering and a spotlight shines on the face of the man.

Man: Rememer the name, Bailey. Red Storm Bailey.

Grade: 50

Presents

Warfare

Held on Friday, Week 2, November 2014

Live from Kelley Auditorium, Arizona , South-West

Attendance: 931

Pre Show

In an extremely poor match, Angelo Santana and Riptide defeated The Chain Gang in 9:54 when Angelo Santana defeated Aron Chains by pinfall with a Flying Crossbody.

Winner: Angelo Santana & Riptide

Grade: 28

A practice match for all four. Angelo Santana keeps improving and his team with Riptide has been giving some good matches. So, i am officially putting them as a tag team.

Main Show

Camilo: Welcome everybody to the penultimate edition of Warfare of this year.

Ernesto: That’s right. And of course all the buzz has been about tonight’s main event as this time Richie has a surprise for Ares and his gang. Any idea bro who can it be??

Camilo: Well, word is going around that he has been a former tag team champion in PWI. It proves that he has the pedigree to take on The Army but will he have the drive??

Ernesto: And as has been our tradition, we start with a triple threat defense by Robbie 3M.But wait, we are getting some commotion backstage.

The camera zooms in to our champ’s locker room where Paul is doing pushups but suddenly the door gets kicked and we see Red Storm Bailey dashing into the room and bash Paul from behind sending him reeling down the ground. He grabs the champ by his head and smashes his face into one of the lockers drawing blood. Satisfied by his work, he lets out a big grin and walks away from the room.

Grade: 50

Ernesto: Another stormy assault by Bailey. Sorry for the cliché but ever since he debuted here, he has been making life hell for our champ

In a bout that had a good crowd and some decent in-ring action, Robbie 3M defeated Ricky Binks and T-Bomb in a Three Way match in 11:47 when Robbie Martel defeated T-Bomb by submission with a Rob - o - Roll.

Winner: Robbie Martel (makes defence no. 7 of GWS Red Phoenix Title)

Grade: 47

Robbie 3M has carved out a legendary streak of sorts, proclaiming himself to be the triple threat phenom and he has backed himself up on every step and has been rewarded with a distinguished title reign. Here also, he does the same absorbing all the high flying offense from Binks before sending him out with a springboard roundhouse kick. With T-Bomb in the ring, he delivers another roundhouse kick before locking in his Rob-o-Roll.

With Robbie winning the match, he and Debbie celebrated in the ring which led to the arrival of Bear Rusev and Ray Lisbon. With Ray chasing Debbie all the way out of the arena which diverted Robbie’s attention, Bear entered and slammed him down before BB(Big Bear) punching him out of his senses. He did not stop here and Bear Trapped (Bear Hug) him which squeezed all the life out of Robbie’s body.

Grade: 36

Ernesto: Another month and another attack by the duo, They are hell bent on making life miserable for Robbie and his manager. We still do not know where Debbie is and I hope and pray to god that Ray has not reached her.

Camilo: Well, I hope so too but the chances of that are looking pretty bleak at the moment. Anyways up next, the former champs gets their guaranteed rematch for the Top Militia titles.

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Mountains of Muscle defeated The Furlong Brothers in 13:10 when Riley Johansen defeated Big Harris by submission with a Ri-Rack.

Winner: Mountains of Muscle (makes defence no. 1 of GWS Top Militia Titles.)

Grade: 48

Mountains of Muscle have come a long way as a team and their recent heated rivalry with Notoriety Inc. have made them a much more cohesive unit. Of course, they had problems fighting the vastly experienced Furlong Brothers but the muscles of Ramos and guiles of Riley were just enough to edge their opponents out. With Tony clotheslining both the brothers flipping their bodies over, Riley closed the deal with a Ri-Rack on Harris.

With Riley playing to the crowd and about to start his speech, his mic was cut and we heard laughing sounds from the entry. The source of the laughter was revealed as

Notoriety Inc. who made hand gestures while laughing indicating that they were coming for the champs.

Grade: 18

Ernesto: This rivalry continues to heat up and this time, Riley is pissed as he literally gets silenced by Notoriety Inc.

Camilo: That was funny on part of Jack and Rico. But up next, Paul comes face to face with his attacker Red Storm.

Ernesto: Yes, we have just received news that Paul is ready to fight even though he has not fully recovered from the earlier assault tonight.

Camilo: He has the heart of the champion brother. Paul Crowley doesn’t back down!! Ever!!

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Paul Crowley defeated Sam Bailey in 14:16 when Sam Bailey was disqualified when Ares ran in and attacked Paul Crowley.

Winner: Paul Crowley (makes defence no. 3 of GWS People's Representative Title)

Grade: 47

It was evident from the start itself that Red Storm was here not to win but to hurt Paul. He was here to break him down mentally and physically and he executed his work with perfection. At times, he even pushed referee’s patience by taking Crowley outside the ring and executing hordes of slams on the floor before entering the ring seconds before the 10 count to break it and again continuing the cycle. Paul though fought back when he countered a powerbomb attempt with a backdrop before slamming Red’s leg on the ring post. He proceeded to lock in his Prince Lock but he could not get the satisfaction for long as Ares came in running and proceeded to beat him down. Having seen enough, referee disqualified Bailey. They were least bothered with the result and continued to lay the beatdown.

Satisfied with their work, Ares called up Ashmedai from the back and the three proceeded to lay the champ on the table and before they could go further, a shower of yellow paint fell from the top on all three members of the army which forced them to separate. Richie came running down armed with a chair and smashed Bailey which forced him to retreat.

While Ares and Ashmedai were trying to get the paint off their faces, some smelly rotten eggs get thrown right in their faces which angers them even more. Finally out from the curtains emerges the partner of Richie and perhaps the instigator of these funny attacks on the Army. The figure, none other than the loveable, goofy luchador,

Grade: 46

In a bout that had a good crowd and good action, Ares and Ashmedai drew with El Estándar and Richie Santana Jr in 16:11 when the referee lost control and stopped the match.

Winner: Draw due to stoppage

Grade: 60

Shocked by the attack of El Estandar, Ares and Ashmedai started the match on backfoot still recovering from the shock. El Estandar in particular, brought the crowd to their feet when he displayed his comedic antics alongwith some fine copybook wrestling which blended to give an effective and entertaining concoction. With Richie and Ares both forcing each other to crash through the tables, it was left to Estandar and Ashmedai to bring the match to an end. Sadly, that did not happened. Disgusted with the antics of Estandar, Ashmedai striked back with vicious punches which forced Estandar to back off. A You and Your Sins on Estandar on the outside followed and as nobody was interested in ending the match, referee stopped it.

Well, nobody so far has been able to get the debutants right. I went for the names who have so far not been featured heavily across the T-verse dynasties. I also had readymade stories for most of them so that was the basis of my selection and with the latest choice of El Estandar, i went for a bit of goofy character who can cut the ice in the main event. Hopefully, he will become a loveable character before too long.

OOC:A rare backstage segment perhaps the first and the last one as this diary has gone for a toss.

As i was sleeping comfortably on my couch, the sound of my phone ringing woke me up. What the hell?? Can't even get a sleep. As my eyes scanned the screen for the initiator of that call, all the drowsiness went away. It was my boss, Ernesto Rosario. I took the call.

Ernesto: Hey man!! Hope i didn't disturb you.

Me: Not at all.

Ernesto: Ok, i need you need to come to our office early today. As you know today is our yearly performance review.

Me: Yes, of course, i remember it. I will be there in time.

Ernesto: Ok bye, see you later.

Well, i had completely forgotten about the review. My real test in two years that i have been associated with the company. Who am I?? Well, I am the head booker of GWS , "The God of War" Ares.

I knew that i had failed some major goals that were set by Ernesto. But the relationships i had forged over the last two years and the reputation that i had carved for myself would be enough for me to survive another couple of years. But I was wrong, so damn wrong.

As i proceeded to the swanky little office of the Rosario brothers, i was a bundle of nerves. Even though i was confident, there were some nerves as the Rosario brothers are known to sometimes take their revolutionaries tag pretty seriously and take some decisions which are completely out of blue.

Ernesto: Hey Ares, come on, take a seat.

Ares: Thanks man. Let's start the review and get over with. We have a lot to plan for our year end show.

Ernesto: We respect your dedication towards your work and your excitement towards our company but i don't think it will be necessary.

Ares: What do you mean??

Camilo: It has a pretty clear meaning young man. It means you are being relieved of your duties as of now.

Ares: (F**king b**tches, he is calling me young man when i am older than both of them!!!) What the hell?? How?? Why??

Camilo: Well for starters, you re-signed both Rico Escobar and T-Bomb even though we had specifically told you that nobody can be re-signed if they have had problems with the law.

Ares: Come on man!! You know Rico is involved in one of the big storylines and his Notoriety Inc. with Crazy Jack was getting over. Hell, even Crazy Jack was brought in for this purpose only. And T-Bomb was about to get involved in another major storyline. You know the booking plans man and still you mouth those words.

Camilo: Man, booking plans can change but the image of the company can't.

Ares: What image are you talking about man?? They haven't been in a single backstage incident ever since they joined so what more do you need??Ok fine, but this is the only reason you are firing me.

Ernesto: You also failed to improve our company rank of #22. We were supposed to be in the top 15 companies of the world. But you failed to do so.

Ares: You know how competitive the region is where we hold our shows. Every month we are facing The Club and Wrestle-X who are much bigger in size and financial muscle than us. Competing against them takes time Ernesto. We have been making steady progress over the last two years. Our attendance have almost tripled from the time i took over the booking duties. I have made new stars, brought in fresh faces. Look at our merchandise store, The T-shirts of Robbie martel are selling like hot cakes. Richie, Paul, Ashmedai each of them are much more popular than they were 2 years ago. So, where is the problem man?? Everything is going smooth.

Camilo: Well, growth is there but is very slow to our liking. We started the promotion with an aim to be a rebel, to leave our mark in the world but sadly that has not been the case and you have to be responsible for that.

Ares: Well, in that case, you can shove your two bit promotion down your ass. I will survive man, no worries but you have lost your chance to make a mark. You will forever be just an internet darling and nothing much.

And with that, i stormed out of the room. So, my GWS career has ended. I have no idea where will i go but i need to do something.

Well, that post was actually to mark my end of GWS career and end of this dynasty.

Actually, i re-signed Rico Escobar and T-Bomb which broke one of my owner goals because both have had problems with the law. Well, i took a gamble because the Mountains of Muscle and the Notoriety Inc. rivalry was gaining full steam and i had big plans for the revival of Waveriders so i re-signed T-Bomb.

Ultimately that cost me big time as i had already failed the critical goal of coming into the top 15 companies in the world so failing two critical goals did me in and i was fired.

Though this diary have come to an end unexpectedly, i have some plans for my next one and of course the legacy of Ares will not die. It will resurrect in some other way hopefully pretty soon.

<p>Shame to see this end, but an excellent way to go out if it had to. One of my favourite diaries of recent...years probably...and a really great ThunderVerse adventures.</p><p> </p><p>

Looking forward to seeing the continued tales of Ares! <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>Shame to see this go. I was looking forward to more of El Estandar's exploits but yeah, live by ownership goals and die by ownership goals. Personally, I leave them off because they usually restrict me too much for my liking, although when they're worked into a diary well (the much-heralded Monkeypox's DaVE masterpiece being the best example) they really add to the piece, especially if being levied by an oppressive owner.</p><p> </p><p>

Anyway, good luck with your next project. I'll check it out.</p>
