THE RETURN OF TERRY THUNDER [THUNDERVERSE]

A TEW2013 DIARY

TCW BREAKTHROUGH EPISODE #13 CHAMPIONS EDITION

FILMED AT THE DESERT ROSE STADIUM IN PHOENIX, AZ – MONDAY 1 JUNE 2013

AIRED MONDAY JUNE 1 2013 ON NATIONAL PRIDE TV (0.05)

ANNOUNCE TEAM: ACE LOMAX & DR TAPIA

The “Champions Edition” of Breakthrough, or the unlucky 13th episode depending who you talked to, kicked off with the usual short video of the previous week's big monthly event – Blaze Of Glory. The footage showed Antonio Estes crowned the company's first ever Cruiserweight champion, as well as both Too Famous and Jarid Hart retaining their Tag and World titles respectively.

TERRY & JESS THUNDER

Once the video was over the action cut to ringside where Terry Thunder and Jessica Thunder introduced the show. Explaining that the episode, the first to be filmed on the West Coast, would feature three matches, all of which would see a title put on the line. First up, Antonio Estes would put his TCW Cruiserweight belt on the line for the very first time against newcomer Trent Victor, Too Famous would live up to their promise and fight The Moonshiners, while Jarid Hart and Omar Xavian would end the show in a Tables match for the TCW World Heavyweight title! While it didn't tell the fans much they didn't know already, both Terry and Jess were entertaining enough to get the sell out crowd fired up for the show's first match.

CALEB ADONIS - RHYNO KHAN - MISS KELLY

However, before that could take place, Caleb Adonis, Miss Kelly and their new bodyguard Rhyno Khan interrupted the ring announcer. Adonis and Miss Kelly proceeded to mock the Arizona crowd, likening them to hillbillies, and comparing the Firestorm to a kindergarten football team! Miss Kelly, in particular, seem to relish the chance to hurl abuse at the audience while Rhyno Khan did little except scare off anyone who might think of rushing the ring. Adonis said that as they were going to be in this “stinkhole” for another show, he made an offer to anyone in the back who wanted to take him on in the next episode!

TCW CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE: "Heartthrob" Antonio Estes © vs Trent Victor

Trent Victor
was wrestling his first ever TCW match against “Heartthrob”
Antonio Estes
and it also happened to be a TCW Cruiserweight title match! Victor, an experienced cruiserweight, performed well but it was Estes who always seemed the likely winner. Using the momentum from Blaze Of Glory's title victory, Estes seemed to pull of springboard moves and a huge plancha to the outside with ease. In the end an
STF
submission proved the decider, and secured Estes' first title defence.

RESULT: Antonio Estes wins in 6:38 to retain the TCW CRUISERWEIGHT TITLE! E

LOS BORICUAS - TALON

With the first match over Los Boricuas made their way to the ring. The trio showed off their victories at Blaze Of Glory, before Alvaro Buey III called out his opponent from the show Talon. Buey said that he had defeated Talon fair and square in the strap match at Blaze Of Glory, but that as patriots, as comrades, he didn't want to rub it in. Instead, he wanted to make Talon an offer. Join Los Boricuas and put everything that has gone down to this point behind everyone. Buey promised title runs and backup and everything under the sun, but Talon didn't seem convinced. Asking for the microphone, Talon questioned where in the pecking order he'd be. At the bottom, replied Buey. Talon asked what he'd be doing for the group. Paying his dues, said Buey. Talon asked Buey to let him think it over. The fans booed the apparent change of heart from Talon, but soon turned to cheers as Talon spun on his heels and decked the Boricuas leader with a microphone shot to the head, before taking out Azaria and Vidal with a clothesline each!

TCW WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES: The Moonshiners vs Too Famous ©

The second title match of the evening saw a rematch between
The Moonshiners
and Tag Team champions
Too Famous
. The Moonshiners Billy Ray and Lee Earl made their TCW debut a couple of weeks ago in a title match against Too Famous and they came close to victory then before getting themselves disqualified. This time, however, the hillbillies weren't about to throw away another opportunity at the gold – and a big payday – and although they continued their cheating ways (they had, after all, spent decades perfecting it!) they were more subtle when it came to avoiding the referee's attention. Too Famous fought well as they did in the earlier match between the two teams, but Brian King seemed more focused on working up the crowd than he did on saving Famous C from a beating. In the end the celebrity-culture duo were shocked by their “down home” opponents, when Billy Ray pulled Brian King from the apron and took him out on the outside, Famous C walked into a
Banjo Drop
from Lee Earl and three seconds later the titles changed hands!

RESULT: The Moonshiners win in 7:38 to win the TCW WORLD TAG TEAM TITLES! D-

THE MOONSHINERS

The Moonshiners lifted their new gold high above their heads, before calling for a pair of microphones from the workers at ringside. Billy Ray said that it was fitting that two Southern boys won the titles from two celebrity-wannabe, reality—TV junkies so close to the home of trash, California. Lee Earl said that Too Famous didn't have a brain between them – just like the crowd in attendance – and claimed that the only thing TCW is good for is a huge payout from millionaire Terry Thunder. Whereas Too Famous promised, upon winning the belts initially, they would be fighting champions, Billy Ray and Lee Earl promised to do as little as possible for as much dollar as they could!

ERIN SCOTT - TANNER ELLIS

The action headed backstage for the first time this evening where Tanner Ellis was stood alongside Erin Scott in the typically makeshift interview area. Erin Scott recapped the events from Blaze Of Glory where Ellis was attacked yet again by Sangoma (this time in person) and asked him for his thoughts. Ellis said that week after week, month after month, Sangoma followed him, hounded him and attacked him from behind. Ellis said that where he comes from, that's another way to describe a yellow-belly coward. Ellis said that over the weekend he had the opportunity to talk to Terry Thunder and revealed that the TCW President was willing to make a match for next week between Ellis and Sangoma. Thunder, Ellis explained, had one condition for the match. It had to be a match that couldn't end in questionable circumstances...it had to be a Dog Collar match!

TABLES MATCH FOR THE TCW WORLD TITLE: "The Black Hart" Jarid Hart © w/Cassidy vs "Big Bad From Trinidad" Omar Xavian

The main event saw a rematch of Blaze Of Glory between TCW World champion
Jarid Hart
and
Omar Xavian
, only instead of a ladder match this was a tables match. Hart and Xavian put on the greatest match of TCW's short history at Blaze Of Glory, and this match (being a TV match if nothing else) was always going to struggle to match it. Fortunately for the crowd in attendance, while it didn't quite meet the standards set at Blaze Of Glory, it was still one of the best matches TCW have ever put on. Xavian once again showed that he deserved to be placed in a main event with an excellent performance, while Jarid Hart continued to frustrate and amaze in equal measure. As was the case at Blaze Of Glory, Hart didn't have the match all his own way and it took a little help from Cassidy to influence the outcome. Omar Xavian, fired up by his defeat at the Paradise Club, looked set to win the match when he placed Hart on a table. Cassidy, realising her cousin was close to losing the title jumped up onto the apron to distract the referee! Xavian hit a superb
Shooting Star Press
that sent both Hart and himself crashing through the table...only the referee wasn't watching! When “Big Bad” went over to inform the referee that the match was over, Cassidy swung around to the other side and pulled the broken table from the ring! The referee knew something was up, but while he was attempting to learn the truth, the denim-clad Clayton Bennett wandered in through the crowd and dropped an unsuspecting Xavian with the
Vastly Superior Finishing Move!
Bennett slid Xavian onto the table before rousing Hart. The Englishman was dazed, but still managed to hit the
Hart Stopper
to destroy the table, Xavian and, for a second time, himself. Fortunately for Hart this time the referee was paying attention and the match was over!

RESULT: Jarid Hart wins in 14:19 to retain the TCW WORLD HEAVYWEIGHT TITLE! C-

JARID HART - CLAYTON BENNETT - OMAR XAVIAN - SILVERBACK

Clayton Bennett seemed reasonably pleased with his interference, even if Cassidy and Jarid Hart looked a little upset that they had been forced to rely on outside help. Xavian, however, was incensed and looked ready to snap when former Phoenix Firestorm star Silverback hit the ring and took out all three men (Cassidy and the referee escaped just in time!). Silverback got more than his share of cheers in his former training stadium, but if he got a babyface reaction it didn't stop him from acting like the heel. Absolutely destroying everything in sight, Silverback was the dominant figure yet again as the show left the air!

I just that I'd say that I believe the posting of this last show makes this the longest diary I have written in terms of shows :D

Expect the prediction card for the next show to land in the next few days, and remember that you have until the posting of the next show to PM me with any questions for the TCW roster to answer (I've only had the one reply so far!).

Hope you all enjoy(ed) the show!

<p>Okay, so it's probably time for an update on this diary.</p><p> </p><p>

The short story is that it is finished.</p><p> </p><p>

The long story is that, as many of you know, I have written much of the six months in-game that I have played. The 'write for yourself' school of thought is a good one when it comes to diary writing, however I have already done that by writing the shows already. For me, the interesting part of actually posting the diary was to see reactions from people to the game I played. After all not only do I know what has happened, I've written it as well. However, for the most part I have not had any reaction at all, particularly of late as evidenced by one comment between shows, which wasn't to do with either. To a large extent this is not an uncommon 'problem' - the diary section is certainly a lot quieter than it used to be. It isn't universal though, with several diaries at the moment receiving huge amounts of feedback per show.</p><p> </p><p>

When I have so many other things to do, finding the motivation to sit down and format, and then post, this diary and predictions, and results and everything else it entails is difficult; particularly when it appears there isn't a huge amount of interest from anyone else either. This is not the first diary of mine to have suffered from a lack of interest, for reasons I won't speculate, and as a result I believe it will almost certainly be my last diary. I won't be leaving the forum - far from it - I will, however, be focusing largely on the ThunderVerse thread and reading other people's diaries.</p><p> </p><p>

I really did appreciate the fact people took the time to read, predict and comment and I hope those that did enjoyed the ride while it lasted! <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

Shame to see this ending as I really enjoyed it even though I didn´t comment much outside of predictions. Still, it was fun as long as it lasted so thank you for that and if you ever come around and decide to write another diary, I will make sure to give it a look because I always had enjoyed your diaries. <img alt=":)" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/smile.png.142cfa0a1cd2925c0463c1d00f499df2.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" />
