September 2013 Week One

It's our first NWA Championship Pro Wrestling show on NBC Sports Network; I'm hoping that we don't flop right away like we did on YouTube. We need this show to be successful so that we can grow our brand outside of the Mid-South and the Southeast.

NWA Championship Pro Wrestling

Our first CPW show is live from the Convocation Center in San Antonio, Texas! The NWAonline.com feature is The Von Erich Brothers versus Chris Mordetzky and Rob Conway. Conway and Mordetzky meshed well together and the two veterans are able to dismantle the younger brother pair as Mordetzky scores the win with a MasterLock submission. C

The main show starts and the announce team waits for the fireworks display to finish, welcoming everyone to the first Championship Pro Wrestling on NBC Sports Network. They introduce the crowd to our main players, Adam Pearce, AJ Styles, Shelton Benjamin and Windham Rotunda, who will all be in action tonight!

Ric Flair comes out and confirms that foursome, as Pearce will team with Styles to take on Benjamin and Rotunda here tonight!

Acid Jaz wrestles the first match live on CPW as he defends his World Television title against former World Junior Heavyweight Champion Scoot Andrews. Both men battle hard, but Jaz is able to score the pinfall after an Acid Drop. C+

Backstage, Jimmy Rave is sporting new ring gear, a pink cut off t-shirt and blue pants as he is approached by Maryse Oullet. Oullet compliments him on his choice and says that just because she is working with Shelton Benjamin doesn't mean she's tied to him, and that she wants to work with him as well. Rave accepts and heads out to compete for the North American title.

Rave takes on current champion Jay Lethal and Nick Dinsmore, and the trio put on a fine show. Rave scores several near falls, but Lethal is able to secure the win with a Lethal Injection on Dinsmore and the pinfall. C+

In the ring, Colt Cabana sets up a small folding table and two chairs. He calls out Chris Mordetzky, saying that real men compete in different ways, and that he wants an arm wrestling match. Mordetzky comes out and accepts, and after several minutes, Cabana gets the win!

The Old School Thrillers meet up with Ric Flair in the back. Pearce demands another rematch against Styles after Benjamin interfered last week, and Flair says that he will work on it. He tells Colby Corino and Robbie Thesz that they need to step up their game if they want to remain the tag champions.

Team Old School faces off against the Briscoes again in a non-title bout, and the young duo took to heart the words of the president. They pull out all the stops, but it wasn't their night as Thesz falls victim to a Jay Driller and the pinfall. B-

AJ Styles comes out to the ring for the main event first, and he cuts a small promo about how being the champion will never be easy. He is joined in the ring by Windham Rotunda and Rick Bassman, who says that he will be in the sights of his client soon enough, and his tag partner Benjamin gets to the ring with Maryse Oullet, who gets in Styles face as well.

Adam Pearce joins Styles and the match gets under way. It is a brutal battle for ten long minutes before the momentum swings to Benjamin and Rotunda, but the champ and former champ battle back and Styles gets the win with a Styles Clash on Rotunda for the win to end the show! A

Show Notes: Meh, only a B, following a fantastic hour show on Thursday! I'd rather have the B show Thursday and the A tonight, but I'll take what I can get.

September 2013 Week Two

We pulled in solid ratings last week with over 60000 total viewers for our FSN show and nearly 45000 for CPW. NBC Sports was happy with that on the late night slot they gave us, so I guess I'm happy too. In other news, Paul Ellering was late for the fourth time since we hired him, and a warning and two fines wasn't enough so I suspended him for the week. He's a talented mouthpiece, but enough is enough.

NWA on FSN

Our show tonight is in Alexandria, Louisiana at the Rapides Parish Coliseum, and it's a packed house! The online match features Colt Cabana and Nick Dinsmore against World Junior Heavyweight Champion Tim Donst and former North American Champion Jimmy Rave. Both impromptu teams put on a good show, but the more talented Cabana hits the Colt 45 on Donst for the win. C+

It's showtime and the pyro is good tonight, and the announce crew hypes up that there will be a six man tag match featuring the Old School Thrillers versus Windham Rotunda, Chris Mordetzky and Rob Conway.

Maryse Oullet and Shelton Benjamin begin in the ring, and they call out the World Heavyweight Champion. Oullet says that Styles has no style, and that he will never be able to defeat Shelton one on one. Styles comes out to the ramp and says that he will get his chance tonight in a non-title match!

Backstage, the Briscoe Brothers are in a foul mood, and they call out the tag champions, telling Team Old School that they should have lost the titles last week, but that it's only a matter of time before they take them back.

For the first match of the night, Acid Jaz defends his World Television title against Adrian Hawkins. It's a fast paced match that ends at the 5 minute mark when Jaz hits the Acid Drop on Hawkins to retain the belt. C

The Old School Thrillers hit the ring, and hype up their match that is next. Pearce gets on the mic and tells Styles that it isn't over between them, and he should watch his back, Corino and Thesz answer the Briscoes that they'll have to wait their turn. Backstage, we see the trio of Rotunda, Conway and Mordetzky heading to the ring, and the match is getting under way.

It's another fine 6 man tag match, as both teams worked together cohesively. Pearce took the lead for quite a while for OST, but he gets worn down by Rotunda. Corino and Thesz make quick tags and work over the other team, letting Pearce get back his bearings and let the former champ get the pin on Rotunda after a Lariat for the win. A rated!

AJ Styles hits the ring prior to his match and thanks the crowd for their reception of him since he got to the NWA, and that he's even more grateful for their support since he became their champion!

Benjamin interrupts the champion and rushes the ring to get the match under way. It's offense back and forth and nearly no defense as both men struggle to gain the upper hand. The champ gets it going and goes for the Styles Clash, but Oullet distracts him and then trips him as he goes back for Benjamin. Styles grabs her by the hair, but Benjamin snags him for the rollup with his feet on the ropes to score the pinfall! A+ rated main event!

Show Notes: Another A rated FSN show, and the hits just keep on coming! If we can keep this up, we may replace the FSN show next cycle with another larger outlet show.

September 2013 Week Two

We're almost done with our second week of the month and we haven't even booked the main event for our pay per view this month, Star Fest; we've been so busy turning out week to week that we plain forgot. Guess we need to handle that this show.

NWA Championship Pro Wrestling

We're in Las Vegas, Nevada at the Palms Casino and Resort for the first time for Championship Pro Wrestling! I just have to hope I keep my talent out of the gaming areas at least for the show.

For the online treat tonight, Rob Van Dam takes on the other Rob, Rob Conway. It's an entertaining match that goes right up against the show intro, but Van Dam grabs the win with a five star frog splash and a B match to start.

It's on to the pyro and the announce table, where the announce crew lets us know that tonight's main event will be AJ Styles and Colt Cabana against Shelton Benjamin and Windham Rotunda. Also, Adam Pearce will face Chris Mordetzky, and Ric Flair will announce the main event for Star Fest here tonight!

Team Old School starts out tonight in the ring, and The Rock is of course accompanying them. He says that tonight, in singles competition, his charges will truly prove their worth as Corino is in a triple threat match for the World Television title and Thesz another for the North American title.

Acid Jaz and Kaos join Colby Corino in the ring as all three men want to walk away with singles gold. Kaos hits a hard clothesline to knock Jaz out of the ring, but he turns around into an Old School Expulsion from Corino as the young man scores his first singles gold! C- only though, ugh.

Maryse Ouellet comes down with both of her charges, Jimmy Rave and Shelton Benjamin. Benjamin calls out the world champion again for a title rematch, and Jimmy Rave says that he's taking back his North American title right here, right now.

Another solid match Jay Lethal makes his way to the ring to join Rave and Thesz. All three competitors fight valiantly, but Rave gets upset by something outside the ring and drags Thesz out there. He slams Thesz's head into the ring post repeatedly, and finally the referee calls the match in disqualification. Rave darts through the crowd as Colby Corino flies in to help his fallen comrade.

The Rock and Adam Pearce are down to the ring and help Corino get Thesz up, and they get into the ring, letting Chris Mordetzky know that Pearce has beaten him once and will do it again.

Mordetzky has other ideas and takes the former champion to his limits. Pearce battles back and finally gets on even footing before Mordetzky gets the Master Lock locked in. Pearce is able to force Mordetzky into the ropes and break the hold, and as Mordetzky poses for the crowd, Pearce gathers himself and hits a Lariat on him to score the win. B.

AJ Styles and Colt Cabana hype up the main event, while Cabana tells Styles that the first chance he gets, he wants a shot at the title.

That won't be tonight as they team up against Rotunda and Benjamin. Both teams utilize timely tags and go back and forth, but the momentum swings to Styles and Cabana when Benjamin tags in Rotunda and gets clotheslined over the top rope. Rotunda winds up in a 2 on 1, and gets worn down when Styles hits the Styles Clash on him to score the pinfall. B+

As all four men begin to try and brawl, Ric Flair interrupts and says that the main event has been decided on: AJ Styles will defend the World Heavyweight Championship in a fatal fourway against Adam Pearce, Windham Rotunda and Shelton Benjamin!

Show Notes: We land another solid B show, and I'm pretty happy with that. Certain segments could have been swapped around or we could have done even better.

September 2013 Week Three

BREAKING NEWS NWA Press Wire: After months of substandard shows, disastrous business moves, a falling econonmy and bloated roster, the WWE has gone from being the king of wrestling to just another Cult level wrestling company. Today the WWE has released over THIRTY talents, including announcer Jim Ross, who is expected to retire, nearly the entire women's category, Brock Lesnar, Paul Heyman, Kane, and head referee Mike Chioda.

In a press release from Stamford, CT, the WWE stated: "In a tough economy, we have to make decisions that will affect us for years to come. It is terrible that we have to let go so many talented workers, but with the financial statements coming out and the competition we have been receiving from several up and coming promotions we have to become a leaner, more focused organization.

A quote was sought from the new NWA Headquarters building in Monroe, Louisiana, and this was sent back: "We wish the WWE well in all that they do, and a strong WWE makes for a strong wrestling environment. We will of course explore the options that so much new talent on the market could possibly bring but we have many of our own workers that are up and coming, and our only signings will merely augment our roster, not change the face of it."

September 2013 Week Three

More good ratings last week, and the Canadians are eating us up above the border; the NBC Sports contract for CPW is really working well after just two weeks. We're still getting the messages that Adam Pearce's gimmick isn't staying over despite an A+ rating, so I guess we have to make an adjustment; I have where we're going already. I have plans for Nick Dinsmore as well; for you Dinsmore fans out there, we're NOT going with Eugene, although some aspects will be similar, just not the wack job he was then.

We put out a good few offers on former WWE talent, and I'm hoping to sign on a few before WWE gets their bump back to Global; it should only take a few good shows for them as their popularity just fell due to a few bad shows. It's mostly tag talent I want, as our tag division is still weak outside of Team Old School and the Briscoes.

NWA on FSN

Tonight's show is live from the James White Civic Coliseum in Knoxville, Tennessee! Our online exclusive tonight is a triple threat title unification match for the North American and Ohio Valley Heavyweight titles, featuring Jay Lethal, Nick Dinsmore and Jimmy Rave. All three men want to carry two belts, but the North American champion wants it more, after Rave knocks Dinsmore out of the ring he turns into a Lethal Injection as Jay Lethal unifies the two belts! C+

It's time for the main show to open, and the announce team gets the action going after the pyro. They hype up the main event for the pay per view at the end of the month, but announce that tonight, AJ Styles will have to team up with Shelton Benjamin to face the Briscoe Brothers in tonight's main event.

Tonight we start with The Rock and Adam Pearce in the ring, letting the crowd know that it's only a matter of a few weeks before the World title comes back to where it belongs: around the waist of Pearce. Colby Corino says that he doesn't care about the Television title that he's defending next, and may decide to worry just about the Tag titles.

Corino defends his title against Kaos tonight, and it doesn't look like that he believes what he just said about his first singles title. He beats Kaos back and forth around the ring and dominates much of the match before Kaos slides out of the ring and nails Corino with a chair across the forehead. He rolls Corino back in the ring to get a pinfall victory and steal the World Television title! C+

Shawn Michaels is backstage in a new role as a backstage interviewer (who in the world came up with that?!) and he meets up with Maryse Ouellet and Shelton Benjamin. Ouellet tells the world that her client wants his title back, and that AJ Styles had best watch his back here tonight despite teaming with Shelton.

Adam Pearce teams with the second member of Team Old School, Robbie Thesz, to square off against The Midnight Sensations. To their credit, Rockwell and Shields hold their own for much of the match, but the former World champion is just too much in the end and he hits a lariat on Rockwell to score the pinfall. B

The World Heavyweight Champion AJ Styles comes down to the ring and says that he's getting sick and tired of how he's being told from all different directions that someone is coming for his title. He reiterates that he's willing to take on anyone at any time and that if he loses the belt, he'll just take it back later.

And the main event gets going, and it doesn't disappoint. Benjamin and Styles work well together despite their hatred of each other, and the Briscoes are their usual strong selves. Benjamin gets the upper hand against Mark but AJ gets a blind tag and flies in to hit the Styles Clash and get the pinfall.

Benjamin takes offense at the blind tag and assaults Styles, but the champion rallies and fights off Benjamin! Ouellet is able to pull her charge to safety outside the ring and helps him to the back as Styles poses in the ring with the title. The show ends with a hype video for the PPV main event, ending with the shot of AJ here tonight as the show ends.

Show Notes: B rated show, and we're still clicking. I had to get the World TV title off of Corino as he's really not in our plans to be a singles champ for a while; I just decided to play around a little bit.

September 2013 Week Three

In just a few days since the mass firings at WWE, we've brought in a few young talents and a few older guys that work either backstage or in production. The young guys I'm excited about, as our tag team division is about to get WAY more interesting.

NWA Championship Pro Wrestling

We are live in Dallas, Texas in the Dallas Convention Center for Championship Pro Wrestling. Online tonight we start out with Colt Cabana versus Rob Conway. Conway looks to get revenge for all the losses recently but Cabana has other ideas and implements them on the way to another win and a B+ match after a Colt 45.

The show gets going with the fireworks show and the announce crew prepping the crowd for tonight's show. They hype up that Shelton Benjamin is facing Rob Van Dam tonight and that the World Champion AJ Styles will face Windham Rotunda.

Kaos begins in the ring with Brian Lawler to defend his newly won World Television title. Lawler is his usual lackadaisical self but is able to fight back and make a decent showing, but Kaos gets the pinfall with the Kaostraphe to retain the title. Ugh, D.

The Rock and Shawn Michaels are backstage with Colby Corino and Robbie Thesz as they prepare to put the tag titles on the line against The Midnight Sensations. The Rock says that there isn't a tag team in the NWA today that will be able to keep up with Team Old School.

Corino and Thesz look to make good on The Rock's words in the previous interview, and they don't disappoint. Shields and Rockwell try valiantly to stay in the match, but the young duo are just too much in the end as Corino hits the Old School Expulsion on Shields to score the pinfall. C+

As Corino and Thesz recover their titles after the match, they get jumped from behind by two newcomers to the NWA, brothers Eddie and Orlando Colon! The pair beat down the World Tag Champions and leave them laying on the mat as they each pick up a tag belt and hold it over their heads before tossing them down on top of Corino and Thesz. Eddie gets a microphone and tells the groggy pair that they need to keep those belts warm, as the Puerto Rican Prodigies are coming for them.

Acid Jaz gets another title shot, this time at Tim Donst and the World Junior Heavyweight Championship. Jaz gets several near falls and comes within a hair's breadth of capturing the title before Donst recovers. Donst fights back and gets the pinfall after a rollup with his feet on the ropes to retain the title. C

Maryse Ouellet and Shelton Benjamin find Shawn Michaels waiting for them backstage and he gets a few words from them. Benjamin says that in no uncertain terms, Rob Van Dam is over the hill and will be over tonight after their match is done.

RVD doesn't think so and shows Benjamin why he's been called The Whole F'n Show and Mr Saturday Night by beating him in and around the ring for several minutes. Benjamin is able to recover and fight back in the ring, and gets the upper hand long enough to hit Paydirt and score the pinfall. A!

AJ Styles gets in the ring prior to his match and congratulates Benjamin on a good win, but that it won't be that easy next week in the Fatal Fourway.

Windham Rotunda gets to the ring with Rick Bassman, and the match gets going. The brute Rotunda uses his size and strength advantage to keep the champion on his heels, but Styles battles back and is able to hit the Styles Clash to score the pinfall! B

As Rotunda gathers himself, Shelton Benjamin comes in from the crowd and assaults Styles. Rotunda gets up and joins in, but just as they start to really go after him, Adam Pearce comes from the back and makes the save. He runs both men off and then hands Styles the World title belt and shakes his hand as the show ends.

Show Notes: B rated show and a sold out crowd make me happy. It won't be long before we'll be all over the US on tour, not just hanging out in the southeast and mid south.

September 2013 Week Four

Our signings from the WWE aftermath are done, and all of a sudden they're global again. Heh, go figure. I did take care of a small bit of business with them while they were still labeled cult, and that was to sign a non-aggression pact with them. I guess those guys I got are mine unless Japan comes a'calling!

And our tag division is finished; I'm not signing anyone else. They won't all debut this week, but also be prepared for a surprise tonight.

NWA on FSN

Tonight's FSN show is live from Blackham Coliseum in Lafayette, Louisiana and we have a sold out crowd! Our online match tonight features Colt Cabana versus former North American champion Jimmy Rave. Rave and Cabana battle back and forth for quite a while before they nearly run out of time. Cabana hits a Colt 45 just before the bell and scores the pinfall. B

Now the pyro crackles and the announce team gets the show going. They hype up the Pay Per View for this weekend and only one more show after tonight until then, and say that tonight will feature a six man tag match featuring Adam Pearce, AJ Styles and Rob Van Dam against Shelton Benjamin, Windham Rotunda and a mystery partner we will find out about right now.

Rick Bassman is in the ring already with Windham Rotunda, and says that his client was interested in finding a partner who would compliment his moves and watch his back. Bassman says they searched the world high and low and found only one option: his brother, Taylor Rotunda! Taylor comes down to the ring, and Bassman introduces the crowd to Thunder and Xhiliration (T.A.X.)

Acid Jaz takes on Kaos in an attempt to regain the World Television title. It's a relatively short match as Kaos gets caught up in a powerbomb from a top rope hurricanrana, and Jaz follows it up with the Acid Drop to score the pinfall and regain the World Television Championship! C

Colt Cabana bursts into Ric Flair's office and immediately demands a title shot. He complains about constantly being on the online show, and Flair asks him if he even wants to work here. Cabana says yes, and Flair counters with him to shut up or face his new enforcer who will be here tonight with a wave to the shadows in the background. Cabana sees a huge figure and blanches, then leaves the office.

AJ Styles is in the ring, hyping up the match for this weekend. Styles says that he has no problems taking anyone in the NWA down, and that he will prove it this Sunday.

The Puerto Rican Prodigies, Orlando and Eddie Colon, make their in ring debut against the Von Erich Brothers. Kerry and Marshall put up a good fight, but the Colons are just too much with their longer period of working together, and they score the pinfall and a C rated match.

The Rock brings his three charges to the ring, Adam Pearce, Colby Corino and Robbie Thesz. He says that AJ Styles is a fantastic competitor and a worthy world champion, but that Pearce is just as worthy. The Rock turns to Team Old School and says that while the NWA has brought in new tag teams, there isn't a one of them that matches up with Corino and Thesz.

Corino, Thesz and The Rock all remain at ringside as Pearce is joined by his teammates and his competitors for tonight. All six men want the pinfall or submission and want to impress the boss, and the result is a match for the ages. The battle rages until Pearce is able to hit Benjamin with a Lariat for the pinfall to bring a close to another A+, Match of the Year candidate!

The battle doesn't stop after the match is over, and Ric Flair hits the ramp, forcing the competitors to stop. He says that if they can't keep it together, they will meet his newest acquisition and personal enforcer, the masked Red Machine! Red Machine comes out in a full body suit, red with black flames and a stark red mask. Machine raises his arms and snaps them down, causing fire to shoot from the turnbuckles, making all six men in the ring jump. Flair turns to leave, but Machine reaches and grabs him by the throat, lifting him high in the air and chokeslams him to the ramp. He kicks him and starts Flair rolling down the ramp to rest near ringside as the six men in the ring stare at him as the show ends.

Show Notes: B rated show, sold out crowd, and two debuts. I thought some old school guys would enjoy the name for the Rotunda tag team, so you're welcome. Red Machine? We all know who that is, just don't expect much more than an enforcer/wild card role.

September 2013 Week Four

We're prepared for the show this weekend, but of course we have one more shot to up the ante here tonight!

Championship Pro Wrestling

We're back in the Daniel-Meyer Coliseum in Fort Worth, Texas for tonight's show leading up to Star Fest tomorrow night! Tonight's online special is a North American title match between Jimmy Rave and the champion Jay Lethal. Each man struggles to capture the unified title, but Lethal is able to sneak away with the victory after a Lethal Injection. C+

It's fireworks and loud music as the main show gets under way, and the announce crew tells of a double main event, with Adam Pearce facing Windham Rotunda and AJ Styles facing off against Shelton Benjamin!

Benjamin and Maryse Oullet are in the ring, and they call out Styles, letting him know that his title reign will end in just a little over 24 hours. Benjamin is prepared to do what is necessary to regain the title!

The World Television Championship is on the line as Rob Conway, Rob Van Dam and Luke Hawx all vie to take away the title from Acid Jaz. The two more established veterans look fantastic out there, but the title stays with Jaz after Luke Hawx hits RVD with a chair to keep the title in place. C+

Jimmy Rave is backstage after his match, and Nick Dinsmore tells him that he should be happy that he is such a feature in the NWA. The two get into a verbal altercation and have to be pulled apart.

Paul Ellering comes down to the ring with Chris Mordetzky, and the pair talk themselves up. Ellering comes around to mentioning that it's time to expand their sphere of influence and announces the Ellering Management Group. He introduces the two newest members of EMG, The Puerto Rican Prodigies Eddie and Orlando Colon!

The Colons wait in the ring as they face off against Team Old School and the Briscoe Brothers here tonight in a non-title match. Thesz and Corino battle their way to take the momentum, but the Colons battle back and take out the Briscoes, leading to a Backstabber from Eddie on Thesz to score the victory. B-

Shawn Michaels finds Red Machine backstage and tries to welcome him to the new NWA, but Machine takes offense to a quick question and destroys him, leaving him bleeding on the concrete.

In the ring, The Rock and Adam Pearce talk about Windham Rotunda here tonight, saying that so-called "Thunder" has no bite without the lightning, and that Windham will feel the lightning here tonight.

Rotunda has other ideas and faces off with Pearce equally throughout most of the match. The former World Champion gets the upper and starts to take control when he gets tripped up from the outside by Taylor Rotunda, who slid in through the crowd. The referee calls for Taylor to leave, but as his back is turned, Windham nails Pearce with a pair of brass knuckles and grabs a fist full of tights to score the victory! A rated match.

After the match, AJ Styles gets into the ring and hypes up both tonight's match against Benjamin and Star Fest tomorrow night. Styles says he is prepared for his three competitors after watching a ton of film, and it will be his night tomorrow.

Benjamin appears with Ouellet and starts the match off with a huge bang, taking it to the champion. Styles battles back to even footing, but Benjamin doesn't let up the pressure. He goes for his patented T-Bone Suplex, but Styles slides out and is able to score the Styles Clash and gets the win! A rated as well!

Benjamin gathers himself and takes help from Windham and Taylor Rotunda to continue the assault on Styles. Pearce, Corino and Thesz get to the ring in time to make the save and help the champion up as the show ends.

Show Notes: B+ rated show, our highest yet for CPW. A change here or there could have made the difference to an A rated show, but I'm happy with it. Tomorrow night will be a big night!

It's on! I have a feeling we will see a sad ending though.

September Star Fest

Tonight's Star Fest is broadcasting live from the CenturyLink Center in Bossier City, Louisiana! Online tonight for the preshow is Rob Conway versus Rob Van Dam. Both men struggle to capture the win to start the show, but RVD gets the momentum and the upper hand after Rolling Thunder and a five star frog splash to score the pinfall. B+

Our finest pyro show yet starts off the show, and the announce team hypes up the main event of AJ Styles, Adam Pearce, Windham Rotunda and Shelton Benjamin in a fatal fourway for the World Heavyweight Championship, and all other titles will also be on the line!

Ric Flair comes down to the ring, and announces that since the World title will be decided in a fatal fourway, so also will the World Tag titles, featuring Team Old School, the Puerto Rican Prodigies, the Briscoe Brothers and the NWA's newest tag team, Jonathon and Joshua Fatu, the Pacific Island Connection!

Tim Donst makes his first appearance in a while to defend the World Junior Heavyweight Championship, tonight against Colt Cabana! Cabana takes over the match and dominates much of the time, but Donst fights back. Cabana gets the momentum again before Donst hits a low blow on Cabana in full view of the referee to retain his title, though he gives the match to Cabana for DQ. B-

The Old School Thrillers come to the ring, and The Rock is in rare form tonight, railing against everyone from Flair to the competitors in both matches for his charges. Pearce guarantees that tonight, the Old School Thrillers will make an impact.

Shane Helms comes down to the ring, and lets the crowd know that he is sick and tired of being overlooked. An unfamiliar music interrupts him, and TJ Wilson makes his way to the ring. Wilson says that since he wants a fight, he'll get it right now! Wilson and Helms battle for several minutes before Wilson gets the upper hand and hits his trademark Rolling Stampede to get his first win in the NWA! Only C+, I hoped for better.

Maryse Ouellet and Jimmy Rave come down to the ring, and the duo call out the North American Champion Jay Lethal. They both say that Lethal has been the recipient of quite a few lucky breaks, but that his luck runs out here tonight.

Rave gets what he wants here tonight, though in four way fashion, with Lethal also defending against Nick Dinsmore and the first NWA match for Red Machine! Machine is destructive all match long, constantly destroying each man. Machine turns his attention to Rave outside the ring, leaving Lethal and Dinsmore to battle, and Lethal takes advantage of the distracted Machine to hit the Lethal Injection on Dinsmore to retain his championship! Machine leaves Rave and decimates both Dinsmore and Lethal before throwing the North American title over Lethal's prone body. B+

Paul Ellering comes down to the ring with his latest clients in Orlando and Eddie Colon. All three men put Team Old School on notice, saying that those tag titles are going to be leaving with them.

Each of the four teams come down to the ring and all of them want the titles as much as the other. The Fatu's are all over the ring, battling with all three teams and the Colon's counter back. As the Briscoes get going and battle with the Fatu's, Robbie Thesz takes advantage and hits the Thesz Press Package on Eddie Colon to score the pinfall and retain the titles! C+

After the match, Rick Bassman and the Rotundas, Thunder and Xhiliration head off Team Old School at the ramp. They say that they will be coming for those tag titles as soon as Windham is through capturing the World Heavyweight Championship.

AJ Styles hits the ring and is on his game, letting the crowd know that there won't be any more doubt about him as the World Champion after tonight.

It's another instant classic as Pearce, Styles, Benjamin and Windham are all at their best here tonight. Pearce winds up battling Benjamin and Styles Windham for much of the match, but finally it comes down to Pearce and Styles. The two battle while Benjamin and Rotunda recover, but Styles is able to hit the Styles Clash on Pearce to retain the World Heavyweight Championship! A+

The action isn't over as Styles gets to the back, but Windham Rotunda isn't done with Adam Pearce. Taylor gets down to assist him and the pair lock up Pearce's ankle in a chair, followed by a top rope stomp from Windham, leaving the former champion writhing in agony on the mat. Corino and Thesz get to the ring too late to stop and chase of Thunder and Xhiliration, but the damage is done as the show ends with Pearce unable to get back to his feet.

Show Notes: A rated Pay Per View, and a sad ending as Pearce will be on the shelf. Of course, those in the know do know that Pearce will be off screen for a couple of months as we re-tool him for his next run, and the main event scene is just a bit muddy now. We hope to clear that up in the next week as the NWA 65th Anniversary Show is at the end of October.

Florida Underground Wrestling as joined the ranks of the deceased as well, as they go out of business with their final card drawing just under 1000 people. We absorb any NWA affiliation or license that they had.

Also of note is that WWE has removed Stephanie McMahon-Helmsley from her position of head booker. No announcement has been made as to who they will bring in as replacement.

October 2013 Week One

I couldn't help myself from signing one of the new workers who entered the world of wrestling at the start of the month, so you'll get to meet him tonight. Also you'll get a clearer picture of who will be attending the Anniversary Show as competitors in the main event.

NWA on FSN

Tonight we find ourselves out in west Texas in El Paso at the El Paso County Coliseum for our FSN show. Our online match features Red Machine against Colt Cabana! Cabana takes his time in trying to figure out how to bring down Machine to his level for the win, but he doesn't have enough time as Machine rallies back from a vicious offensive onslaught and chokeslams him to score the win. A!

It's the kickoff to a new month and a good pyro show to get the announce team going. They say that after a brutal match, the World Champion AJ Styles has the night off, and that the Old School Thrillers have an update on Adam Pearce.

Ric Flair comes down to the ring and says that despite all the new blood that the NWA has brought in, there is always room for fantastic competitors. He says that scouts over in Great Britain have brought back a talented and entertaining young man, and he introduces Brad Race to the fans! Race thanks Flair for the opportunity to make his name in the United States, and he promises the fans that they won't be disappointed by what they see here tonight!

Race gets his first opportunity right away, as he will challenge Acid Jaz and Jimmy Rave for the World Television Championship. Race quickly shows why he was brought over from across The Pond and takes it to both Rave and Jaz. Both of the veteran go back at him, but Race is able to score the pinfall on Rave with his patented Race Tracked to score the win and capture the Television title! C-

The Rock gets down to the ring with Colby Corino and Robbie Thesz. They thank the crowd for their support, and let everyone know that Adam Pearce had to have surgery on a broken ankle late last night. The Rock says that Pearce will be back in the ring in only a couple of months, and that he is already rearing to go.

Team Old School get their next test against Thunder and Xhiliration, and the two Rotundas are ready to prove their worth. Corino and Thesz battle the bigger pair to a standstill before Rick Bassman gets involved in the match, causing Thesz to turn around into the Swine Intervention from Windham for the pinfall victory. B-

The World Champion makes his way out, and AJ Styles is limping slightly. He says that he'll be ready to go after tonight, but even though he had the night off, he wouldn't miss being here for the world. He sends out his apologies to Pearce for not keeping TAX off of him, but that his own minor injury had to be tended. He wishes Pearce a speedy recovery so they can face off again shortly.

Styles gets interrupted by Ric Flair, and Flair says that it's only just beginning for Styles as the champion. He tells him to get ready, because on Saturday he will be facing Red Machine with the World title on the line!

TJ Wilson is backstage getting ready for his match when he is approached by Shawn Michaels. Michaels tells him that he's watched his progress for years and thinks that it's time that Wilson hit the big time. He offers his services to help Wilson get there. Wilson thanks Michaels and says that they can do great things together, starting tonight against Shelton Benjamin.

Benjamin and Wilson take the show by storm, and they battle back and forth across the ring. Benjamin tries to take advantage of a Wilson miscue, but he walks into a faked miscue, leaving him open to Wilson's Rolling Stampede and the pinfall victory for Wilson! B+

Show Notes: Only a B- show, which is kind of disappointing for us. We were hoping to keep every show this month at a B or better and after the A at Star Fest, maybe even better.

October 2013 Week One

We're prepared for the show this weekend, but of course we have one more shot to up the ante here tonight!

Championship Pro Wrestling

Tonight's show will be live from the Tulsa Convention Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma! Tonight online we feature another fantastic battle between Rob Conway and Colt Cabana; I wonder when the fans will get tired of that one. Conway takes the upper hand for most of the match but Cabana rallies back and scores the pinfall with a Colt 45. B+

The fireworks display is pretty impressive, as the announcers begin to hype up tonight's show. The main event was set on Thursday as AJ Styles will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Red Machine here tonight!

The new World Television Champion Brad Race comes down to the ring prior to his match and talks himself up. He thanks the crowd for accepting one such as him from London's East End and thanks Ric Flair for giving him such a fantastic opportunity right away.

Scoot Andrews challenges Race for the Television title, and right away Race takes the initiative and takes over the match. Andrews mounts a comeback but the Race Tracked finishes off Andrews for Race to retain the TV title. D, uck. Talented, but not over yet.

Paul Ellering leads down part of EMG, the Puerto Rican Prodigies. They call out the tag champions and say that Team Old School won't dare to face them team against team with the titles on the line.

Red Machine is seen backstage talking to himself, saying that he cannot wait to destroy AJ Styles tonight, and that he did not care anything about the World title.

Rob Van Dam squares off against Luke Hawx, who is trying to break into the next tier on the roster. RVD and Hawx go at it pretty good, and Hawx takes the lead several times before the wily veteran is able to get the momentum swung back and scores the pinfall with a five star frog splash. C+

The North American Champion Jay Lethal comes down to the ring now. He says that Shane Helms has been talking trash backstage about how he can take down anyone, anywhere, and at any time. Lethal says he'll give him the opportunity here tonight.

Helms comes out with an enormous chip on his shoulder and goes to prove that he meant what he said. Lethal has other ideas, and gets back to even footing before finishing Helms off with a Lethal Injection and retains his title. C+

Colby Corino and Robbie Thesz make their way to the ring for their match, but before they can say anything, Rick Bassman has his charges Thunder and Xhiliration on the ramp, letting the champs know that the titles are about to change hands.

TAX gets their opportunity against Team Old School and the Puerto Rican Prodigies as all three teams battle for the World Tag Team Championship. The Colons get the upper hand several times during the match, but the champions are resilient and fight their way back despite the Rotundas doing their best to keep them beat down. Taylor and Windham double up on the champs and take them to the outside before Taylor slips back in the ring and nails a low blow on Eddie with a rollup, complete with feet on the ropes to score the pinfall and capture the titles! B

AJ Styles finds his way down to the ring and says that Red Machine had better be prepared tonight. Styles is ready for anything and anyone, and that includes a seven foot masked monster bent on destroying the world.

Red Machine and Styles go at it, the smaller man using his speed and agility to keep the seven footer off his balance. Machine gathers himself and gets the momentum his way and starts demolishing the champion, but Styles uses his own resiliency to bounce back. Machine grabs the throat of Styles for a chokeslam, but Styles kicks his right knee out from under Machine, and as he goes to get his feet back, Styles goes on and hits the Styles Clash to retain the title. A rated to end the show!

Show Notes: Despite the couple of bombs in there, we scored out a B+ rated show. Machine is looking good out there and put on a fantastic match, and his vignette was gold. Styles is definitely the best champion we've had yet. I'm curious to see how Brad Race is going to work out, as I think he just needs the overness to make his mark here.

October 2013 Week Two

Plans have been finalized for the main event for the Anniversary Show at the end of the month, and it should be a barn burner! Our ratings are varying from week to week, so hopefully we can stabilize them and get them moving up.

NWA on FSN

Tonight we find ourselves in the Carmichael Arena in Chapel Hill, North Carolina for NWA on FSN! The NWAonline.com special tonight is a tag team match between the Briscoe Brothers and Luke Hawx teaming with Kaos. The new team puts together an impressive showing but the Briscoes come out on top as Jay hits a Jay Driller on Kaos to score the pinfall. C

Ric Flair comes out to the ring and thanks the fans for their continued support and that he's glad to be back on the East Coast, especially here in Tarheel country!

And with that, the show gets underway with fireworks and the newly written NWA theme song by 12 Stones, "Into the Future"! The announce team calls out tonight's card, and will be headlined by a tag team match featuring the World Champion AJ Styles teaming with Colt Cabana to take on Red Machine and Shelton Benjamin!

Brad Race comes down to the ring and is trying to connect with the fans, thanking them for their welcome again and says that he's proud to represent them every time the NWA is on television as their World Television Champion!

Trying to end that run tonight is former World Heavyweight Champion Rob Conway. Conway is definitely the aggressor for much of the match, but Race continues to battle through and swings the momentum his way for a minute. Conway levels him with a hard clothesline and a near fall, but then gets in the referee's face for what he considered a slow count, then turns into the Race Tracked for Race to retain the title! C

After Shawn Michaels took on a managerial client last week, the NWA had to find a new backstage interview presence, and finds one in good ole J.R., Jim Ross! His first assignment is Maryse Ouellet, flanked by Shelton Benjamin and Red Machine, and the trio guarantee victory here tonight, and that one of them will be taking the World title from Styles.

The new World Tag Team Champions, Thunder and Xhiliration come down to the ring with Rick Bassman. The three men say that Team Old School is now Team Old News, and that all the other teams here in the NWA had better be prepared to be disappointed that they will never see the tag titles anywhere other than on the waists of Windham and Taylor Rotunda.

The Von Erichs are the first team to get the opportunity to take the titles away from T.A.X., and they put on perhaps their best show since coming to the NWA. Marshall and Ross are on top of their game, but the Rotundas are fantastic and pull out the win when Taylor hits the Fisherman's Suplex on Ross for the pinfall. B-

AJ Styles and Colt Cabana come down to the ring before their match with Machine and Benjamin and the two friends hype up the fact that they are undefeated as a tag team here in the new NWA. Cabana jokingly points out that they haven't teamed up yet, but that tonight will be the first of many victories.

Machine and Benjamin look good together and work in harmony as Styles and Cabana do their best to hold back the onslaught of offense. The battle back to even footing, but tonight isn't their night as Benjamin starts brawling with Styles outside of the ring, leaving Cabana to get chokeslammed by Machine and the pinfall victory. A+!

As the action continues to go after the pinfall outside, Flair comes out to the ramp and interrupts them. He says that since the three men still standing want a fight so much, they will get it in a fatal fourway at the upcoming Anniversary Show, with one more man: the newcomer, TJ Wilson! Wilson appears with Flair on the ramp to end the show.

Show Notes: B+, good show overall. I'm happy to see that we're continuing to keep B+ or better main events, but it's getting ridiculous at all of the A+'s we are landing! Keep the hits coming, and be on the lookout for the Best of the NWA 2013 DVD at the turn of the year!

October 2013 Week Two

The WWE named their new head booker, and Jim Cornette has been tapped to try and keep them above the water at home. Here for us, I'm excited about the Anniversary Show, as we have some good matches shaping up and two more will be announced tonight!

Championship Pro Wrestling

Tonight's show will be from the Event Center Arena in San Jose, California! Tonight's online match features a fourway battle for the World Junior Heavyweight Championship, as the champion Tim Donst defends against Nick Dinsmore, Acid Jaz and Shane Helms. Three of the four have held titles here in the new NWA so far, and Shane Helms wants to join that list as he is able to dominate much of the match, but a miscue lets Donst get going and hit the Donstitution on Acid Jaz to retain the title. C

A good fireworks show opens up the match and the announce crew hype up that AJ Styles will be taking on Rob Conway here tonight, and the number one contenders to the World Tag Team Championship will be determined here tonight between Team Old School, the Briscoe Brothers, the Pacific Island Connection and the Puerto Rican Prodigies.

Brad Race again starts off the show in the ring, and shows off his World Television Championship. The crowd isn't terribly into him, but he doesn't care as he goes on for a few minutes and says that this title isn't going anywhere for a while.

Luke Hawx tries to make a lie of those comments, as the two young men battle for several minutes. Hawx gets the momentum, but Race stops him dead in his tracks and locks in his Race to the Finish submission, a modified Texas Cloverleaf, to score the submission victory. D, oof.

The Rock brings out his charges of Team Old School to the ring for their match. Rocky says that despite the setbacks, Team Old School is still foursquare behind The Rock and the convalescing Adam Pearce, and that it's time to begin the journey to take back the tag titles.

The four teams all get into the ring, and it's a grand melee, as all four teams battle valiantly to get the shot at the titles. Corino and Thesz get things going but the Islanders closeline both of them to the outside and they continue brawling. In the ring, Mark Briscoe hits a cut-throat suplex on Eddie Colon and the Briscoes capture the number one contender spot!

Ric Flair comes out to the ramp and congratulates the Briscoes on their win, and says that they'll get their shot at the Anniversary Show at the end of the month! He also books another match, this one for the North American Championship between Jay Lethal, Jimmy Rave, and Acid Jaz!

Backstage, Jim Ross and Shawn Michaels are standing by with TJ Wilson. Michaels tells JR that tonight they will take care of business with Rob Van Dam against Red Machine and Shelton Benjamin, and then Wilson will take care of business at the Anniversary Show.

In the ring, Machine and Benjamin are already waiting. Maryse Ouellet gets the microphone and says that despite their mistrust for Red Machine, they will take his help here tonight in getting the win, but that at the Anniversary Show, it will be every man for himself. Machine snatches the mic away, and he leans low and close to the blonde, saying that's how he always likes it.

It's a brutal, hard hitting match between these four men, and both teams look to be fighting for the prestige of the win. Machine gets RVD alone in the ring as Wilson and Benjamin battle outside the ring, and he grabs RVD off the top rope, chokeslamming him down and scoring the win. B

AJ Styles comes down to the ring and says that he respects Rob Conway as a former World Champion, but that his reign was short and will continue to be an afterthought as Styles makes his own mark.

Conway takes exception to Styles' comments, and it turns into a fantastic match. Conway takes it to the champion as if his life is on the line, but Styles gets the momentum swung around and hits the Styles Clash for the pinfall on an A rated match.

Show Notes: B rated show again, and it'll do. I'm feeling lost a bit without Pearce around, so hopefully his new gimmick will make him that much better. Styles is just golden; I'm hoping our tag division starts to produce better matches or I'm wasting money. I was getting C+ matches out of my midlevel performers and these new guys are getting paid way more.

October 2013 Week Three

Ratings for the ole WWE have stabilized with them back at Global, so I'm glad I signed that non-aggression pact with them when the dropped to Cult. Find a loophole, young man!

NWA on FSN

Tonight's edition of NWA on FSN is live at the Avron B Fogelman Arena in New Orleans, Louisiana, our first trip down to the Big Easy! The NWAonline.com special tonight is Team Old School taking on newcoming team, the Puerto Rican Prodigies! Both teams are eager to show they should still be considered one of the top teams in the NWA, but the youngsters of Team Old School show it more, as Corino drops and Old School Bomb on Orlando for the pinfall! B-

Right after the match, The Rock joins Corino and Thesz in the ring, and says that even though the Briscoes are the current number one contenders, Team Old School will be coming after the tag titles soon enough.

Fireworks and loud music couple with a boisterous Cajun crowd, and the announce team has to somewhat struggle to announce tonight's main event, Colt Cabana against Shelton Benjamin!

Ric Flair begins the show in the ring, and hypes up the card for the Anniversary Show. He tells the fans that Adam Pearce is recovering well from his surgery and is planning to be back before Christmas! He says that AJ Styles is carrying his nature boy torch, and that no matter who is out there, Flair will find them to prove that to be the best, you have to beat the best!

The World Television Title is on the line as Chris Mordetzky takes on the youngster Brad Race. Mordetzky is brutal in his treatment, but Race is able to gather himself and fights back, hitting the Race Tracked to score the pinfall and a C+ match! Mordetzky is incensed by the loss, and he and Paul Ellering beat the poor Race all the way to the back, where Mordetzky is finally pulled off of him by four other associates.

AJ Styles is backstage in street clothes with Jim Ross. Styles says that even though he's not in action here tonight, he can't make an impact. He goes on to talk about Red Machine, Shelton Benjamin and Windham Rotunda, stating that all three have tried to take the title from him, and none have succeeded so far, and that Pearce, Rob Van Dam and TJ Wilson will all get their chances but will fall short as well.

Joshua and Jonathon Fatu get their chance at the number one contenders to the World Tag Titles, as the Briscoes battle them across the ring. All four men are good tonight, but Jay hits the Jay Driller on Jonathon to score the pinfall. C+

As the match ends, a figure in a baseball cap hops over the ring rail and enters the ring with the Briscoes. He snatches off the cap and Paul Heyman stands there with the number one contenders! He offers his services to the team, telling them that he can handle their business, and that they can concentrate on winning the titles. The crowd surprisingly reacts extremely favorably to the appearance of Heyman and cheer for him as the Briscoes accept his offer.

Maryse Ouellet and Shelton Benjamin are backstage with Jim Ross, and the pair guarantee definite victory tonight. Ouellet goes on to say that Shelton is ready for the fourway at the Anniversary Show, and that it's only a matter of time before he takes back the World Title.

In the ring and prepared for the match, Colt Cabana talks up tonight's match, and says that whenever Flair is ready to give him the title shot, he's ready to take the World title away from Styles.

Benjamin and Cabana are no strangers to the other, and each seems to anticipate the other's movements and strategy as the match unfolds. Neither can get a clear advantage until Benjamin misses a splash into the corner and Cabana goes for his patented Colt 45. Ouellet reaches in and pulls Cabana's boot, causing him to have to release. He turns back to swing at her, then turns around into the T-Bone Suplex and Benjamin grabs a handful of tights to secure the win! A rated!

Show Notes: A solid B show, even though we've been turning better than that on FSN. I wanted to give our primary main eventers a break, and Benjamin will be off on Saturday. Should be fun for the Anniversary Show! Oh, and Heyman as a face? You're as surprised as I am, though I doubt it will last long.

October 2013 Week Three

We're almost to the Anniversary Show next week, and we're excited! Could we possibly see some new champions walking the halls of our shows, or will the current champs prevail?

Championship Pro Wrestling

We stay in south Louisiana for tonight's show in Kenner, Louisiana at the Pontchartrain Center for Championship Pro Wrestling! The online exclusive starts with Tim Donst, the World Junior Heavyweight Champion in the ring. He berates the management of the NWA for not having him on all the time to defend his title, and then berates the fans for not backing him. As he is booed mercilessly, he storms to the back.

For the match tonight online, Colt Cabana teams with Acid Jaz to take on Rob Conway and Jimmy Rave. Cabana and Jaz look like a well oiled machine out there and take advantage of the bickering between Conway and Rave to let Cabana score a Colt 45 and the pin on Conway as Rave leaves the ring in disgust. B-

The show kicks off with the usual fireworks display and the announce team in place. They continue with the hype for the Anniversary show, and announce that the main event tonight is a six man tag match featuring AJ Styles and Team Old School versus the Ellering Management Group, Chris Mordetzky and the Puerto Rican Prodigies!

Jim Ross is backstage with the World Television Champion Brad Race. Race thanks Ross for talking with him and lets the fans know that he won't let them down with a poor performance here tonight, and that he is proud to continue to represent them as their Television Champion.

Kaos stands in Race's way tonight to retain his title, and the wannabe rock star uses his flash and finesse to take the upper hand for much of the match. Race battles back and is able to lock in his Race to the Finish submission to score the fall and retain. C

Ross is backstage again with Rick Bassman and the Rotunda Brothers. They say that tonight they will begin to show their dominance over the Briscoes as they face off in singles action respectively, and that their days as the World Tag Team Champions are only beginning.

The Pacific Island Connection takes on the Von Erich Brothers in a good ole tag team match. The more physical Islanders take it to the Mid South sons of a legend, but Ross and Marshall struggle back into the match before Jonathon gets a lead pipe and Joshua distracts the referee to let Jonathon deck Marshall and score the pinfall. C

Another backstage interview, and Paul Heyman speaks for his new tag team, the Briscoes. He says that he picked out the Briscoes years ago as a team he wanted to work with, and that here tonight they will bear out his thoughts from then as they both beat the Rotundas in singles action.

The first of these two matches is up, as Windham takes on Mark. Windham uses his superior strength to throw the smaller Mark around the ring, but Mark battles back and takes it to Windham. The pair brawls around the ring with no apparent edge before Windham is able to take down Mark and hit a running senton to score the pinfall. A rated!

Ric Flair makes a break in the action as he comes down to the ring. He says that he wanted to give the fans another early taste of the Anniversary Show by pitting Team Old School against the Puerto Rican Prodigies tonight as they will be facing each other next Sunday!

Jay Briscoe is ready to take on Taylor Rotunda and try to follow up on the fantastic match their brothers had earlier. The two brawl much as the previous match did, but Jay takes the lead most of the match as Taylor struggles to get in offense. He does manage to take the momentum for a minute, but Jay takes advantage of a missed body block and turns it into a Jay Driller to score the victory. B-

AJ Styles leads the way to the ring where he is joined by Colby Corino and Robbie Thesz. He thanks The Rock for lending out his charges tonight to him, but both members of Team Old School turn around to thank him for his words for the recuperating Adam Pearce, and that they are honored to work with him here tonight.

The main event is up and it doesn't disappoint! The Prodigies are eager to tear into Team Old School and do just that to the former champions, and Mordetzky is ready to show that he is still championship match worthy against the World Champion. The six men wage battle through the ring and around it, but the match is ended when Styles gets Mordetzky in the ring alone and hits the Styles Clash to score the pinfall. B

Styles celebrates with Corino and Thesz for a moment before Red Machine and Shelton Benjamin appear at ringside. Styles motions for the team to head to the back and that he can handle this. He can't though, as Machine and Benjamin flank him and begin their assault. Before the damage is done, TJ Wilson appears through the crowd and makes the save with a steel chair to end the show.

NWA on FSN

Tonight's FSN show comes live from Fant-Ewing Coliseum in Monroe, Louisiana! The online special tonight features Rob Van Dam and Colt Cabana face off against the World Tag Team Champions, Thunder and Xhiliration. The Rotunda brothers take it to the veterans, but RVD and Cabana are able to battle back to even footing. Rick Bassman takes a moment to trip RVD, leading RVD back into a Fisherman's Suplex from Taylor to score the pinfall. B rated.

The pyro lights up the arena and the announcers begin to tout the Anniversary Show and that TJ Wilson will be facing Shelton Benjamin here tonight in the main event!

Brad Race comes out to defend his World Television title, and continues to exhort the fans to stay behind him. He gets attacked from behind by tonight's contender, Luke Hawx. Race is favoring his right ankle, and Hawx assaults it as the champion cannot get a semblance of defense and he falls victim to a hard DDT and Hawx recaptures the Television title! C-

The Pacific Island Connection come down to the ring for their upcoming match when they are interrupted by a new music. The are joined at ringside by the fast talking Latino manager Armando Estrada, who immediately offers his services to the pair. They strike a deal and the Fatus get ready for their opponents.

Paul Heyman and his charges, Jay and Mark Briscoe appear at the top of the ramp. They taunt the Pacific Island Connection, and then Thunder and Xhiliration.

The Briscoes then charge the ring and the battle gets under way. Both teams battle back and forth for several minutes with no one getting the upper hand. Finally Mark gets in some big moves against Jonathon, leaving Jay able to hit the Jay Driller to score the pinfall victory. C+

AJ Styles meets up with Jim Ross backstage. The pair discuss the the upcoming match for his World title at the Anniversary Show, and Styles guarantees victory on Sunday.

In the ring, TJ Wilson is ready for his match against Shelton Benjamin, and as he talks he also throws off some comments about the main event for Sunday.

Benjamin gets into the ring and begins a fast and furious assault on Wilson. The strong Canadian battles back and the action rages for several minutes before Wilson is able to hit the Rolling Stampede to capture the win to end the show. B+

October 2013 Week Four

Last show before the Anniversary Show, and I'm looking forward to finishing up the year in these last two months to see if any match or any of my workers wind up in the top of the prognosticators' lists.

Championship Pro Wrestling

Championship Pro Wrestling is live tonight from the Dallas Convention Center! The online special tonight is a tag team match featuring Rob Van Dam and Colt Cabana against Chris Mordetzky and Shane Helms. The two teams battle evenly for quite a while before Cabana gets the upper hand and locks in the Billy Goat's Curse on Helms for the win. C+

The fireworks show kicks off the show and the announce team hypes up tonight's main event between AJ Styles and Red Machine. They also talk up tomorrow night's Anniversary Show and the major matches.

Brad Race is down in the ring prepared for his title rematch from NWA on FSN for the World Television Championship when The Rock, Colby Corino and Robbie Thesz come down to the ring. The Rock says that they have watched Race for the past several weeks and think that it's time that he stepped up his game even more, and join with the Old School Thrillers. Race is elated and accepts as Luke Hawx rushes the ring.

The battle is on and Race isn't limping tonight. He goes high and low on Hawx and makes nearly as quick work of him as Hawx did on Thursday night, hitting the Race Tracked to score the pinfall and regain the Television title! C

Tim Donst is backstage with Jim Ross. Donst is still angry that he hasn't been on television in a long time, and that Flair needs to realize that as the World Junior Heavyweight Champion, he should be on every show. He throws out a comment about Acid Jaz before heading out to the ring.

Acid Jaz seems to be miffed about being an afterthought to Donst's interview and comes at the champion with abandon, beating the champ around the ring. Donst gathers himself and fights back, hitting the Olympic Special to retain the title. C

The Pacific Island Connection is in the ring with their new manager Armando Estrada, but as they start to speak, they are interrupted by Paul Ellering and the Puerto Rican Prodigies. Ellering cuts off Estrada and says that they don't need a Spanish mouthpiece in the NWA, and that the Colon's will show both the Connection and Team Old School who the next powers are in the tag team division.

Team Old School comes out with fire in their pants and put the spanking on both the Prodigies and the Connection. Both of the opposing teams fight back and pull out all the stops, but Corino and the Old School Expulsion on Eddie Colon gives the former tag champs the victory. B-

Jay Lethal is in the ring to defend the North American Championship against former World Champion Rob Conway. Conway wants a taste of gold again and puts his best performance on and takes Lethal by storm. The champ fights back and is able to connect with the Lethal Injection to retain the title. C+

AJ Styles makes his way down to the ring and hypes up his match here tonight, and says that tomorrow night, there will be no doubt as to who the real champion is.

Red Machine is still Red Machine, however, and the behemoth is as strong as nearly any man alive. He tosses the champion around the ring for what seemed like hours before the champion battles back and gets back into the match. As Styles gains the momentum, Shelton Benjamin jumps the rail and assaults the champion in the ring, causing the disqualification. Pandemonium ensues as TJ Wilson and the newly reiniforced Old School Thrillers clear the ring, only to be attacked by Thunder and Xhiliration. A+!

As the sides finally break off, a video ends the show with scenes of the four major matches and finishes with the main event.

Show Notes: I've forgotten the show notes the last few shows, but tonight we land an A rated show and the scene is set for the Annivesary show tomorrow night!

October 2013 Week Four

We're here for our next big show! I hope all goes well

NWA Anniversary Show

We're live in the Reliant Arena in Houston, Texas for this year's Anniversary Show! Online tonight we have the World Junior Heavyweight title on the line between champion Tim Donst versus veteran Rob Van Dam! RVD seems to be off his game here tonight, probably not truly interested in the Junior Heavyweight title. He does begin to overmatch Donst, but the champion is able to get back to his feet, and with the referee distracted, he hits a low blow on RVD and rolls him up to retain the title. C+

The fireworks get the main show going, and the announce trio goes immediately into the welcome and hyping up the main event of AJ Styles, TJ Wilson, Red Machine and Shelton Benjamin, and that Ric Flair will be announcing a special stipulation before the match!

Red Machine starts the night down in the ring. His gravelly voice booms as he announces that he will become the NWA World Champion here tonight, and that not even the hellfires of the deep can hold him back.

Brad Race comes down to the ring with his new ally, The Rock. Both men predict victory here tonight against Chris Mordetzky, who comes to the top of the ramp. He says that the kid won't stand a chance here tonight.

Race isn't interested in losing the title a mere night after winning it back, and Mordetzky isn't interested in letting the newcomer to keep it. Both men brawl for a while before Race is able to retain the title after a Race Tracked to score the victory. C+

Flair makes his way down to the ring, and he is warmly received by the crowd. He thanks the fans for their continued support, and that the main event tonight will be special. He says that instead of just a simple match, the competitors will only be ended with retrieving the title belt from a pole!

Good ole JR is backstage with The Rock and Team Old School. The Rock says that tonight, the youngsters will be on their way to regaining the World Tag Team titles, and that the two Puerto Ricans will only be collateral damage.

Orlando and Eddie have other ideas, and they start out dominating the younger duo. The former champions are game though, and get their footing back to gain the momentum. The battle rages on before Eddie is able to roll up Robbie and use the ropes to hold him down to get the pinfall. B-

Backstage, Rick Bassman is with Jim Ross and his charges, Taylor and Windham Rotunda. They call out the Briscoes as cowardly and that they will stand no chance here tonight, and the World Tag titles aren't going anywhere.

As Thunder and Xhiliration moves off Maryse Ouellet appears with Jimmy Rave. She says that Rave wants his North American title back, and that he won't mind taking away the Ohio Valley title from Jay Lethal as well. Lethal comes around the corner and says that it won't be a problem for both titles to be on the line.

Acid Jaz has something to say about the title changing hands as well, as Rave and Lethal don't seem to take him seriously. He changes their minds quickly and the pair have to work hard to keep from dropping to Jaz's fury. Lethal and Jaz dump Rave outside the ring and go back at each other, but as Jaz gets the upper hand after a hard DDT, Rave nails the Gravity Killer on Jaz to capture the pinfall. C+

Jim Ross is again backstage, this time with Paul Heyman and the Briscoe Brothers. Heyman says that Rick Bassman is a never-was-and-never-will-be, and that the Rotundas will soon be as irrelevant as their father was in his career.

The two teams get to the ring and display their utter hatred of each other as the action is absolutely bone jarring! The hard hits keep on coming for over ten minutes before Taylor distracts the referee, allowing Windham to nail Jay with a pair of brass knuckles to score the fall and retain the titles. B+

AJ Styles is ready for the match and is already in the ring. He reiterates that he's awfully tired of hearing about who is going to take his title away. He says that he's also tired of these matches where he could lose the title without being the one to lose the match, but he will continue to show that he's the franchise here.

Another brutal match that won't be ended quickly, as all four men battle in and out of the ring. Machine and TJ Wilson wind up brawling out into the crowd, while Styles and Benjamin are up the ramp. The four men find their way back to the ring, where Machine lays out all three other competitors. He climbs up to pull down the belt, but he is stopped as both Benjamin and Wilson grab a leg each and powerbomb Machine to the floor outside. Styles comes from behind and clotheslines both men to tumble atop the recovering Machine, then climbs to retrieve the belt and retain the World title! A+!

Show Notes: A rated show despite the weak beginning. Styles and the rest of the main event crew continue to provide fantastic entertainment and match of the year candidates!

November 2013 Week One

It's a new month, and the end of the year is right around the corner. No notable retirements or other news came from October, but just today AAA announced that they have fired their head booker, and that Jeff Jarrett has taken over as their new head booker.

NWA on FSN

Tonight's show is live at the Comerica Theater in Phoenix, Arizona! The online exclusive is a 15 man battle royal, with the winner getting a shot at the title of their choice on Saturday! The group, which includes Red Machine, the Pacific Island Connection and new North American Champion Jimmy Rave battles for the entirety of the online show before it's down to just Colt Cabana and Joshua Fatu. Jonathon, already on the outside, tries to trip up Cabana, but the wily veteran grabs the top rope and lowers it as Joshua rushes towards him, sending him tumbling to the outside to win the match! C+

The show gets going with the standard fireworks show and the announce team at ringside. They say that Shelton Benjamin will be teaming with the Rotundas here tonight in the main event against AJ Styles and Team Old School!

Backstage, the World Television Champion Brad Race is with The Rock and new backstage reporter Joey Styles. The Rock says that Ric Flair made a good choice in setting up his charge against the World Junior Heavyweight Champion Tim Donst in a title-for-title match here tonight!

Tim Donst is still completely unhappy with the thought of having to put his hard won and defended title up against the youngster, but he gets over this quickly as the TV champ assaults him with impunity. The older Donst is able to get some offense in as well and turn the momentum, but Race gets going again and hits the Race Tracked to get the pinfall and both retain his title and take the World Junior Heavyweight Championship as well! C+

Paul Heyman and the Briscoe Brothers come down to the ring, and the trio go after the Puerto Rican Prodigies. Heyman calls them an embarrassment to their notable father, much the same as their older brother, and that they won't ever see the NWA World Tag Team titles as long as the Briscoes are in the hunt.

Paul Ellering and his crew take exception to the taunting, and the duo stays on the attack for most of the match. Jay and Mark turn the tide and grab the momentum, but an inadvertent whip into the corner knocks Mark down to the floor, allowing Eddie to hit the Cannonball Twist on Jay to score the pinfall. B-

AJ Styles leads his partners Colby Corino and Robbie Thesz down to the ring. He says that not only are they going to embarrass the major thorn in his side here tonight, but they will also put Thunder and Xhiliration on notice that Team Old School wants their titles back.

Both teams want the win here tonight, and all the stops are pulled out in this match. Styles battles hard with Benjamin and with Windham Rotunda, and Team Old School puts a big hurt on the tag champions. Corino battles with Benjamin as Styles winds up on the outside against Windham, leaving Thesz and Taylor going at it. The stronger Taylor gets the better of Thesz and chop blocks Corino, leaving him open to the Swine Intervention from Windham, who also puts his feet on the ropes for leverage to score the victory! A rated!

As Styles tries to make the save, he winds up face to face Benjamin in the ring over a staggering Corino, Ric Flair comes to the top of the ramp. He says that this month, Styles will get his wish to go back to one on one for the title, but it will be in a steel cage match against Shelton Benjamin at Thanksgiving Thunder! Benjamin smiles wickedly at the champ as the show ends.

Show Notes: B+ show here tonight, and we will take it as a good one, considering we went out west. Probably would have been an A rated one in the Mid South or Southeast.
