Sooo, that was longer than a week, huh? ¬_¬ Funny how life works sometimes.

 

I was going to try and get this going again, but apparently I've been "shitting on the community" or whatever (despite leaving pretty clear instructions that if anyone else wanted to try a game while I was gone they should feel free to do so. Funny how I was "shitting on the community" but the community was so active that *nothing* happened while I was gone other than a recent PM from DJ (and snide comments from MLT)).

 

But yeah, let's not fall out over a forum game. Sorry to those of you who feel genuinely let down. I was sadly lacking in crystal balls when I started this.

<p>1. It wasn't a snide comment. It was the truth. YOU posted all around the thread and not even bother to poke in and say "hey I can't do this" even AFTER this thread was bumped by other members. You went and looked at a DIFFERENT thread and seen what I said. To be honest that to me IS shitting on the community. </p><p> </p><p>

2. You said a WEEK, and if anyone wanted to go then they could. While there are others who have stated that they are working on games no one had one ready. If after that week you had said you couldn't or you needed more time...maybe someone would have posted...maybe not...we will never know because as a member of the community you should have came in to the thread and posted like any good mod would have done. </p><p> </p><p>

I posted my comment because I was annoyed because I along with others were looking forward to this game. You are a likable person here and people signed up because of YOU running a game and the theme....A game is filled because of theme and mod...You can have a theme you like and a mod you don't so you skip that game. You've joined Mafia and shown to be an excellent player, and most likely a good mod, yet you chose to ignore the thread...To me that's a crappy thing to do to the people on the sign up thread.</p>

I probably should've said something during the first week of July (when I was back at my parents briefly and had internet access and spare time). With hindsight I should've popped into the thread and either let people know I'd be longer, or cancelled it entirely. I hold my hands up, not doing so was a mistake and I apologise. Though with hindsight I wouldn't have started the bloody thing in the first place.

 

But yeah, the rest of the time I've either been on a train, a bus, at my friend's place (which is where I am now, we got internet sorted yesterday, which is when I came back to the thread) or frankly too knackered from the above to be bothered with anything except sleeping. I made a few posts (almost all in Blood Bowl or the Small Questions thread) from my phone, but typing on my phone pisses me off beyond belief - I'm one of those unlucky people to whom grammar actually matters. ¬_¬ Phones are not the friends of grammar.

 

So yeah, other than to play two games of Blood Bowl at specific pre-arranged times, I haven't had a chance to be "on the internet" in the normal sense (or, the sense that's normal to me, anyway. The daily routine sense) for about a month, which was much longer than I imagined and for which I have already apologised and continue to do so.

 

My decision not to run the game has nothing to do with you, MLT. I haven't got a problem with you (the list of people I have a problem with is very short indeed ). I just didn't like the "shitting on the community" comment in a thread you knew I wouldn't see for a while. Sort of the e-version of 'behind my back', y'know?

 

It certainly wasn't my intention to 'shit on the community' (me? of all people?), I was just busy in ways I hadn't foreseen when I started the thread.
