This week's show kicks off with some cruiserweight action as Shane Helms, Brian Lawler, Yoshihiro Tajiri and the masked man Aguila fights it out to determine who is next in line to face the long-reigning Cruiserweight Champion, Chavo Guerrero Jr., for the Cruiserweight Championship. It is a decent match where all four men have their moments to shine and the match remains fast-paced throughout its entire duration. In the end it is Brian Lawler who picks up the win after hitting the Tennessee Jam (Diving Legdrop) on Yoshihiro Tajiri, and while both Shane Helms and Aguila attempts to break up the pin attempt they are both too late as Brian Lawler earns himself a shot at the Cruiserweight Championship!

Following the match, Chavo Guerrero Jr. walks out and stands at the top of the entrance ramp. He points to Brian Lawler in the ring and then raises the Cruiserweight Title high in the air while yelling to Lawler that the Cruiserweight Championship is staying right where it belongs; with him! Lawler does not seem to agree, however, as he motions that the title will soon be around his waist. (D+)

We then cut backstage where Sting's alliance are all gathered together as Sting is in the middle of laying out the battle plan for tonight's show. He talks about his own match against Scott Steiner, but also about Booker T's United States Championship title defense against Scott Hall, saying that he knows that the nWo is going to do everything they can to get involved in their matches tonight, which is why he wants to make sure that they have all their bases covered. Goldberg steps up and says that he's got Booker's back tonight, vowing that he will ensure that Booker T's first title defense takes place on a level playing field. Booker says he appreciates that, and Diamond Dallas Page then says that he's got Sting's back tonight, adding that he would be more than happy to do anything he can to make life a little bit more difficult for that monkey "Big Poppa Pump". Sting then steps forward again and says that the nWo's days are numbered and tonight they are going to give them yet another reminder of that fact (B-)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/TonySchiavone3.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/MikeTenay3.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DustyRhodes.jpg

We head to the announce table where Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes talk about the recent goings-on in World Championship Wrestling. They talk about the obvious one first; the war between the nWo and Sting's alliance. They hype the two huge matches that are taking place later tonight as Booker T will defend the United States Championship against Scott Hall, as well as Sting's one on one matchup against "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner. Dusty says that, to him, the nWo seems to be getting more and more desperate as the weeks roll on by and he believes that they'll do anything and everything tonight in order to ensure that Scott Hall walks out with the US Title, as well as to ensure that Sting does win pick up the win against Scott Steiner in the main event. Mike Tenay agrees, saying that the Great American Bash came very close to being a complete failure for the nWo and the only thing that kept that from happening was that Shawn Michaels retained the World Title, even if he did so under very controversial circumstances. Tony then sends us back down to the ring for our second match of the night.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RoadDogg.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DustinRhodesIggy.jpgvs.http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/KazHayashi.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JimmyYang.jpgw/http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/LeiaMeow.jpg

In the second match of the night the WCW Tag Team Champions, Sons Of Th South, faces off against the Jung Dragons in a non-title match. Despite their obvious talent the Jung Dragons have not had much success in WCW lately and, unfortunately for them, that trend continues here tonight on Nitro against the Tag Team Champions. It is a solid match and the Dragons hold their own, going back and forth with the champs, but the match is cut short when....

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BrianAdams2.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BryanClarke.jpg

The number one contenders to the Tag Team Titles, KroniK, suddenly hits the ring and attacks BG James and Dustin Rhodes, leaving the referee with little choice but to call for the disqualification.

Sons Of The South defeated The Jung Dragons at 7.40 by disqualification when KroniK got involved (C-)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DustinRhodesIggy.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RoadDogg.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BrianAdams2.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BryanClarke.jpg

The bell sounds repeatedly but KroniK does not seem to have any intentions of stopping their assault on the Tag Team Champions, delivering a High Times double chokeslam first to Dustin Rhodes and then to BG James. With the Tag Team Champions laid out before them, Adams and Clark grabs the Tag Team Title belts and poses with them while standing above the fallen champions as the number one contenders just delivered another clear and powerful message to the champions just a few weeks before their Tag Team Title match at Souled Out! (D)

We cut to the parking lot area where a black stretch limo is seen pulling up outside the building. The limo slowly rolls to a stop, the door opens and out steps...

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RicFlair2.jpg

None other than "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair. Flair is all smiles as he looks around the parking lot and even adds a couple of "woo's" as Naitch is obviously feeling good here tonight--that is, until he suddenly spots something off camera. Flair's eyes grow wide and he quickly turns around and climbs back into the limo, slamming the door shut just as....

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/SeanOHaire2001.jpg

Sean O'Haire charges into the camera's view. O'Haire is pounding on the roof of the limo, yelling at Flair to come out and face him like a man instead of hiding like a coward as Tony notes that O'Haire is obviously looking for some payback on Flair after the ambush that Flair set up for O'Haire last week on Nitro. O'Haire looks around and spots a tire iron, which he then grabs and he starts trashing the limo with the tire iron, even smashing one of the windows so he can get at Flair! Unfortunately for O'Haire a slew of security guards arrives on the scene and they forcibly remove O'Haire from Flair's limo, dragging him away as O'Haire keeps yelling to Flair that he's not gonna be able to hide from him forever. As O'Haire gets dragged off, Mike Tenay notes that while he may not have gotten his hands on Flair, Sean O'Haire certainly sent a message to "The Nature Boy" here tonight! (B-)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ShawnMichaels.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/KevinNash2002.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottHall2.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/EricBischoff3.jpg

We cut to the nWo locker room where Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall are joined by WCW owner Eric Bischoff. Bischoff is expressing his concerns, saying that Sting looks more determined than he has ever seen him before and he doesn't think that Sting is going to back down anytime soon. Even Nash and Hall seems to be less confident than normal, which is saying a lot considering the fact that they are pretty much always confident, though given the situation they find themselves in it is perhaps not altogether surprising. Strangely, however, Shawn Michaels does not seem to share their concerns and he tells Hall, Nash and Bischoff not to worry because he's got everything under control and the WCW World Heavyweight Championship is going to stay around his waist for a long time to come. Bischoff asks what Shawn knows that they don't, and even Nash and Hall seem genuinely surprised by Shawn's words, but Shawn simply repeats his words that he's got everything under control and then he and Bischoff walks off, with Bischoff still questioning Shawn as to what he is talking about. Nash and Hall remains behind and they give each other a "what the hell" kind of a look just as we cut back to ringside (B)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Shane_Douglas7.jpgw/http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/TorrieWilson.jpgvs.http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DaveyBoySmith.jpg

This one starts off with Shane Douglas making the mistake of turning his back on "The British Bulldog" to issue some kind of instructions to Torrie Wilson and Davey Boy is quick to take advantage with a rollup that almost ends this one before it truly even began, but Douglas just barely kicks out. This is a solid match that goes north of the ten minute mark and both men gets roughly the same amount of offense in in this competitive, back and forth match. It very much seems like a match that can go either way, but then suddenly the lights go out and the entire building is covered in darkness and everyone wonders just what the heck is going on. The lights come back on a few minutes later and....

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RickyBanderas2.jpg

El Mesías is suddenly standing in the ring behind Shane Douglas and Davey Boy Smith, who both look confused. Mesías then charges and takes both men down with a double clothesline, forcing the referee to throw out the match. Mesías continues his attack, hitting a Mesías Driver (Sitout Crucifix Powerbomb) on both men.

Davey Boy Smith drew with Shane Douglas at 11.53 due to a double disqualification when El Mesías attacked both men ©

With El Mesías standing menacingly above his victims, his manager, the man known only as The Minister, joins him in the ring. The Minister has a mic in his hand and he says that El Mesías absolutely dominated the United States Championship number one contender battle royal at the Great American Bash, eliminating more men on his own than pretty much everyone else did combined. And yet for the past two weeks, and despite his impressive performance at The Bash, El Mesías has not even been booked in a match on Nitro? How can that possibly be--especially considering that trash like these men (Davey Boy Smith and Shane Douglas) are booked to compete? The Minister says that El Mesías came to WCW to make his mark on this business and he will no longer be overlooked. He will no longer sit by and watch as lesser men receive opportunities that should rightfully belong to El Mesías. The Minister promises that El Mesías is going to make his mark on WCW and he will do so by destroting anyone who gets in his way! (D+)

We cut backstage where Eric Bischoff is with "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner. Bischoff appears to be trying to further motivate Steiner for his match against Sting later tonight, but Steiner cuts him off before he can truly get started. Steiner says that he's gonna go out there and beat Sting's ass all over that ring tonight, but he's gonna do it for himself--not for Bischoff, not for Shawn Michaels, not for anyone else. Steiner says that Bischoff and the nWo may be worried about Sting, but maybe they should be worrying about "The Genetic Freak" instead because once he beats Sting tonight he'll be coming for Shawn Michaels and the World Heavyweight Championship! Steiner then walks off as Eric Bischoff looks more than a little concerned about the loose cannon that is "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner (B-)

Surprisingly Scott Hall comes down to the ring alone for this one, but Tony speculates that that probably will not last very long at all. As this one gets under way the announcers talk about these men's match at the Bash where Booker T picked up the win to become the United States Champion in what was a very competitive matchup. Scott Hall uses a number of stalling tactics early on, trying to play mindgames with Booker T, but in the end it is a thumb to the eye of Booker that finally allows Hall to take control. Hall begins to unload on Booker with one huge right hand after another, and he follows up with his patented fallaway slam for a two count. Booker T fights back into it, using a number of different kicks to keep Hall guessing, and a spinning heel kick finally keeps the challenger down. The match continues to be a back and forth affair but unfortunately Tony Schiavone's prediction turns out to be true as...

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/KevinNash2002.jpg

Kevin Nash makes his way down the entrance ramp to boos from the crowd. Nash takes up position at ringside, cheering Scott Hall on, but Tony tries his hand at predictions again as he says that Nash is not going to stop at simply cheering Hall on.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BillGoldberg2.jpg

Goldberg has no intention of letting that happen, however, as "The Man" runs down the entrance ramp and goes right for Nash, apparently choosing not to allow "Big Sexy" the chance to interfere. Nash and Goldberg brawl at ringside and as the referee is trying to get both men to leave ringside...

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JeffJarrett.jpg

"The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett slides into the ring on the opposite side. Jarrett stalks Booker T, looking to deliver his patented guitar shot as Mike Tenay notes that Jeff Jarrett has a United States Championship title shot coming up at Souled Out, but Booker T avoids the guitar shot, then grabs the guitar out of Jarrett's hands and blasts him with his own guitar!!! Jarrett goes down in a heap, but Scott Hall comes from behind, looking to take advantage--but Booker T spins around, grabs Hall and hits the Bookend!!!! Booker covers just as the referee re-enters the ring....1...2....3!!! Booker retains!!!!

Booker T defeated Scott Hall at 14.40 by pinfall following a Bookend. Booker T retains the WCW United States Championship (B-)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BookerT.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/KevinNash2002.jpg

Kevin Nash is back in the ring, having apparently managed to get some separation from Goldberg, and he attacks Booker T but....

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BillGoldberg2.jpg

Goldberg is right on Nash's heels and "Big Sexy" finds himself outnumbered. Things again look bad for the nWo, but Scott Hall comes up behind Goldberg and hits a lowblow, buying just enough time for the Outsiders to escape the ring. Nash and Hall retreat back up the ramp as Booker T and Goldberg stand tall in the ring, and the Outsiders are, quite frankly, looking pissed off before they finally disappear into the backstage area (B)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Sting3.jpgvs.http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottSteiner.jpg

As this huge main event gets under way Tony Schiavone is heard saying that this could easily be a pay per view main event and yet you are getting it live right here on Monday Nitro! The match starts off slowly as Sting wisely avoids trying to match strength with "Big Poppa Pump" and instead uses his agility to combat Steiner. It works for a while but Steiner eventually gains the upper hand and from there it is all Steiner for the next several minutes as he uses a mix of power moves and suplexes to control Sting and the match, but even with the considerable amount of punishment Sting takes, he keeps fighting back, much to the growing frustration of Scott Steiner. The match then spills out of the ring as Sting and Steiner fight all around the ring, with Steiner irish whipping Sting back-first into the guard rail. Steiner drives Sting's head into the apron of the ring and then rolls him back inside the ring and covers, but Sting kicks out after two. Sting makes another spirited comeback as Steiner misses a corner clothesline and Sting begins to unload with rights and lefts, rocking "Big Poppa Pump". Sting hits a trip of Stinger Splashes in the corner and Steiner staggers out of the ring, clearly dazed. Sting then kicks Steiner in the gut and hook him for the Scorpion Deathdrop....

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ShawnMichaels.jpg

But Shawn Michaels comes from seemingly out of nowhere and attacks Sting, leaving the referee with little choice but to call for another disqualification on a night that seems to be full of them.

Sting defeated Scott Steiner at 15.43 by disqualification when Shawn Michaels got involved (B-)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ShawnMichaels.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Sting3.jpg

The match is over and the World Heavyweight Champion continues his attack on Sting, putting the boots to the Stinger, who is down on the mat.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DiamondDallasPage.jpg

But, true to his word, Diamond Dallas Page hits the ring and comes to the aid of Sting, helping the Stinger to drive both Michaels and Scott Steiner from the ring as the announcers, and probably every single fan in attendance, wonders why the Outsiders are not out here helping the World Heavyweight Champion?

And with that question lingering, and with a shot of Sting and DDP standing tall in the ring, Monday Nitro comes to an end!

Monday Nitro Preview

With just two more weeks to go before Souled Out a lot of questions remain unanswered; will Sting receive his rematch with Shawn Michaels? Have we started seeing the first cracks in the otherwise long-standing friendship between Shawn Michaels, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall? And considering how the odds seem to be firmly against the nWo these days, why is Shawn Michaels suddenly so confident? Is he merely putting on a show? Or does the World Champion have a trick up his sleeve? This week's edition of Monday Nitro is headlined by a huge tag team match as Eric Bischoff once again attempts to use his power to help Shawn Michaels and the nWo as members of Sting's alliance will be competing against each other as Sting and Booker T teams up to face Diamond Dallas Page and Kanyon.

Also on the show; Sean O'Haire and a partner of his choosing faces Mike Sanders and Bam Bam Bigelow, "The Man" Goldberg is in action and much, much more!

Lots of DQ's on that Nitro, but it got the job done to build feuds. I'm hoping a Sting/HBK rematch isn't wasted on Souled Out.

Sting and Booker T vs. Diamond Dallas Page and Kanyon

- No contest. NWO probably jumps everyone.

Sean O'Haire and ??? vs. Mike Sanders and Bam Bam Bigelow

- Mark Jindrak?

Goldberg vs. Crowbar

- I can't wait to read the write up. "Goldberg enters the ring, spears Crowbar out of his boots, and hits the Jackhammer for the 3 count!"

Yoshihiro Tajiri vs. Brian Lawler

- Interesting choice for Lawler to be the contender. I'm hoping this just means Chavo will again retain his title. As for this match, I'm hoping Chavo causes the lost for Lawler.

Week 3, August, 2002

Live from Celebration Arena in Decatur, Alabama

Attendance: 10.000 (sellout)

As Monday Nitro goes live and on the air Tony Schiavone briefly welcomes everyone to another great edition of Nitro, but before he can go into further detail the nWo music starts playing throughout the arena and a few seconds later the reigning WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Shawn Michaels, emerges from the back with the owner of WCW, Eric Bischoff, right by his side.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ShawnMichaels.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/EricBischoff3.jpg

As Michaels and Bischoff approach the ring, Tony brings up the ending of last week's show when Kevin Nash and Scott Hall both were strangely absent during the events that took place following the main event, and The Outsiders seem to be absent again tonight as well. Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes both agree that it is indeed strange, especially considering the friendship that exists between the three members of the nWo. Once in the ring, Shawn gets on the mic and says that after careful considering by both himself and Eric Bischoff, they have agreed to grant Sting his rematch at Souled Out! The crowd pops huge for the announcement and even the announcers admit surprise to the fact that Shawn is not trying to duck Sting's challenge. Shawn says that before people get their hopes up, however, they should realize that things aren't always as they seem. Shawn says that it may look like Sting has the upper hand--heck, to certain not-so-well informed people it might even seem like Shawn is even worried about facing Sting again, but nothing could be further from the truth. Shawn says that he knows he will retain the title at Souled Out against Sting because he knows something that Sting doesn't. He says that Sting should take a hard look at the people he calls his allies because the thing that Shawn knows, and that Sting doesn't yet know, is that there is a traitor in his ranks. The only question is; who is it? Shawn smiles confidently and then says that all will be revealed at Souled Out; Sting will be betrayed from within and the greatest wrestler in the history of the business--Shawn Michaels--will walk out STILL the WCW World Heavyweight Champion! As Shawn Michaels and Eric Bischoff leaves the ring we cut to the announce table where Tony Schiavone, Mike Tenay and Dusty Rhodes talk about tonight's show. They talk about the issues between the nWo and Sting's alliance and the fact that the members of Sting's alliance will be forced to fight each other later tonight as Sting and Booker T faces Diamond Dallas Page and Kanyon in the main event. Mike Tenay wonders about this traitor that Shawn Michaels claims is in Sting's ranks, but Dusty Rhodes jumps in and says that it sounds like nothing more than a last, desperate attempt by Shawn Michaels to cause dissention and spread mistrust in the ranks of Sting's alliance, but it's not gonna work. We then head back to the ring for our first match of the night ©

The opening match of Nitro was a decent back and forth matchup between two members of the Cruiserweight division as Brian Lawler faced off against Yoshihiro Tajiri. Lawler won a fatal fourway match last week on Nitro to earn a shot at the Cruiserweight Championship at Souled Out and he continued his good momentum by picking up a win here, hitting the Tennessee Jam on Tajiri for the pinfall victory in a competitive matchup.

Brian Lawler defeated Yoshihiro Tajiri at 10.14 by pinfall following a Tennessee Jam (D)

Brian Lawler barely gets back to his feet after securing the pinfall before the Cruiserweight Champion, Chavo Guerrero Jr., is in the ring. Chavo immediately goes on the offensive as he carries out a swift but effective beatdown on the man he will be facing at Souled Out. Chavo then picks Lawler up and finishes off his assault by hitting a Gory Bomb. With Lawler down and out on the mat, Chavo grabs his Cruiserweight Title and gets right in Lawler's face as he screams that Lawler will NEVER get his hands on his title! (D+)

We cut backstage to a shot of Davey Boy Smith lying unconscious on the floor with two sets of feet standing next to him. The camera slowly moves up to reveal the two men standing above the unconscious Davey Boy....

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RickyBanderas2.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JamesMitchell3.jpg

The Minister stands with a twisted and sadistic looking smile on his face while El Mesías just stares coldly down on Davey Boy. The Minister says that they very much meant every word they said last week and if that was not clear already...then it should be clear now. He says that El Mesías wants to face Davey Boy Smith at Souled Out and that Davey Boy should consider this to be the official challenge. The Minister says that while El Mesías is indeed a monster, it is time for this monster to step out of the shadows and into the spotlight of World Championship Wrestling and anyone who gets in his way will be put down....starting with Davey Boy Smith! (D+)

We cut to somewhere else in the back where Kevin Nash and Scott Hall are seen as they are apparently just now arriving at the building. They only get a few feet down the hall before they are confronted by Shawn Michaels and Eric Bischoff, who both look less than thrilled. Shawn demands to know what the hell is going on; they left him high and dry at the end of last week's show and then they haven't even bothered to return his calls this past week. Nash just shrugs and says that they have been busy, but Shawn replies that the only thing they should be worrying about is watching his back--nothing else matters! Hall says that Shawn needs to realize that they're not his lackeys. Why should they help him when he never lifts a finger to help them? The tension between the three nWo members is obvious and Eric Bischoff steps in to attempt to diffuse the situation. Bischoff says that Shawn is the World Heavyweight Champion and that means that he's the top priority. If Nash or Hall was the champion then they would be the top priority. Nash says Bischoff might as well save his breath because they're not buying any of his crap, and until Shawn realizes that they're not his lackeys....he's on his own! Nash and Hall then walks off and Michaels and Bischoff looks less than thrilled with the outcome of that conversation (C+)

If there had been any doubt before about whether Crowbar was indeed crazy or not, then this match erased all of those doubts as not only did he willingly step into the ring with "The Man", but he came out swinging to the point that he actually attacked Goldberg before the match had officially started which left Tony Schiavone wondering why anyone would deliberately do something that would piss Goldberg off. That being said, the attack did allow Crowbar to get some offense in before the inevitable occurred and Goldberg put him away with the Jackhammer for the win.

Goldberg defeated Crowbar at 6.28 by pinfall following a Jackhammer (B-)

In the back, WCW owner Eric Bischoff is with Kevin Nash and Scott Hall in their locker room where he appears to still be trying to change their minds about helping Shawn Michaels. Bischoff says that they are in this war whether they like it or not and they need to get their heads on straight and get back on the front lines. Nash says that if Bischoff thinks that he can tell them what to do then he really hasn't been paying attention these last several years, has he? Hall says that they are done with this war until Shawn gets HIS head on straight. Bischoff says that he doesn't think they are done with this war at all--he is sure of it, in fact, because as of right now.... at Souled Out it is going to be Scott Hall versus....GOLDBERG!!!! And if Hall doesn't show up for the match then he doesn't have to show up ever again because he'll be fired! Bischoff then walks off and the camera focuses on The Outsiders but there is no readable reaction on their faces to this huge and surprising announcement (C+)

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Sting3.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/DiamondDallasPage.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ChrisKanyon4.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BookerT.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BillGoldberg2.jpg

Sting's alliance is gathered elsewhere in the back where Sting is saying that he does not for a second buy Shawn Michaels' desperate claims about there being a traitor among them. Sting says that he trusts each and every single person in that room because they have all proved themselves to be in this war for the long haul. He says that Shawn Michaels knows that his days on top are numbered and this is simply him trying to do anything and everything he can to try to regain the advantage, but it's not going to work. Shawn Michaels is not going to succeed at spreading doubt and mistrust among them because they are not going to let him. So Shawn can run his mouth all he wants but in the end it is not going to matter because they have something between them that Shawn Michaels will never understand; loyalty. Booker T, Diamond Dallas Page, Kanyon and Goldberg all agree that they're not going to let Shawn's words mess with their minds and the members of Sting's alliance all seem to be on the same page. (B)

Sean O'Haire picked Rey Misterio Jr. to be his partner in this one and it proved to be a good choice. This was a solid back and forth tag team match that saw both teams getting roughly the same amount of offense in. Sanders and Bigelow succeeded at isolating Misterio for several minutes and working him over, utilizing frequent tags, but Misterio eventually made the hot tag to Sean O'Haire who came in absolutely on fire, eventually putting Bam Bam Bigelow away with a SeanTon Bomb for the win.

Sean O'Haire and Rey Misterio Jr. defeated Mike Sanders and Bam Bam Bigelow at 11.49 by pinfall when O'Haire pinned Bigelow following a SeanTon Bomb ©

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RicFlair2.jpg

The announcers put over the effort of both teams, but especially the dominant showing by Sean O'Haire at the end of the match. Suddenly "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair walks out and stands at the top of the entrance ramp with a mic in his hand. Flair says that with each passing week Sean O'Haire finds a way to make things worse for himself. He says that O'Haire will pay for smashing "The Nature Boy"'s limo last week, just like he'll pay for the continued disrespect he's been showing him. O'Haire again invites Flair to come down to the ring, but Flair says that "The Nature Boy" doesn't do things on anybody else's terms--he does things on his own terms! Flair says that he will take Sean O'Haire to school at Souled Out and when O'Haire steps into the ring with "The Nature Boy" he will realize just how far out of his league he really is--WOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!! (B-)

The World Heavyweight Champion, Shawn Michaels, is backstage with "Big Poppa Pump" Scott Steiner and "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett, along with Cheerleader Melissa, and Shawn is apparently trying to recruit himself some new help. Shawn says that it is in all of their best interests to work together; Jarrett wants to beat Booker T for the United States Championship at Souled Out, Steiner wants to take of Diamond Dallas Page once and for all and Shawn wants to beat Sting and continue his reign as World Heavyweight Champion. He says that they don't have to like each other, but working together makes sense for all of them. As always, "The Chosen One" is quick to agree with anything and everything that might incur him some favor with WCW owner Eric Bischoff, but Steiner is much more reluctant, saying that Shawn better remember to hold up his end of the deal as well, or else. Shawn says that if they work together then they all benefit, they all get what they want, so it really doesn't make any sense for them NOT to work together. We then cut back to ringside as the announcers wonder if Steiner is going to accept Shawn's offer or not. (B)

This one started off with a great show of respect as all four men shook hands in the center of the ring before the match officially got under way. This was a good back and forth match throughout, one that saw absolutely no interference, no rule bending and nothing shady whatsoever going on; just two teams battling it out in the ring--the way it should be, according to Tony and the rest of the announce team. Both teams scored several near-falls and all four men put it a strong showing in this one, but in the end it was Sting and Booker T who picked up the win when Sting managed to hit the Scorpion Deathdrop on Kanyon, which was good for the three count and the win.

Sting and Booker T defeated Diamond Dallas Page and Kanyon at 15.13 by pinfall when Sting pinned Kanyon following a Scorpion Deathdrop (B-)

The match is over and Sting, in another great show of respect, helps Kanyon back to his feet and all four men shake each other's hands again following what was a very competitive main event. The fans are eating it up, but the show of respect is cut short as....

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ShawnMichaels.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ScottSteiner.jpghttp://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JeffJarrett.jpg

Shawn Michaels, Scott Steiner and Jeff Jarrett charge the ring and a huge brawl breaks out. There is no sign of either Kevin Nash or Scott Hall, leaving Michaels, Steiner and Jarrett outnumbered but considerably fresher than Sting, Booker T, DDP and Kanyon, who just went through a grueling match.

http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BillGoldberg2.jpg

The building erupts with cheers as Goldberg runs down the entrance ramp and joins the battle in the ring and together Sting's alliance successfully drive Michaels, Steiner and Jarrett from the ring. And as Michaels, Steiner and Jarrett retreat back up the ramp, their sneak attack having failed, Sting's alliance stands tall in the ring as another edition of WCW Monday Nitro comes to an end! Monday Nitro is up! A quick note on this show; I absolutely hated having to put the Tag Team Title stuff on the preshow but there simply wasn't enough time to get it on Nitro. I often have to cut stuff from my shows becuase of a lack of time (Nitro is still 90 mins and not two hours) but putting the build for a title match on the preshow really bothered me. Hopefully I won't have to do that again.

Also, the card for the next Nitro will be up either later today or tomorrow, along with a look at the card for Souled Out as it stands with just one more Nitro to go before the PPV.

With just one more edition of Monday Nitro to go before Souled Out things are getting a bit crazy. The World Heavyweight Champion, Shawn Michaels, seems to be at odds with his buddies and fellow nWo members, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall, yet Michaels may have aquired himself a new ally as the World Champion made the claim last week that there is a traitor within the ranks of Sting's alliance. Will the identity of this traitor be revealed on Nitro, if there even is a traitor? Also, WCW owner Eric Bischoff continues to attempt to "motivate" The Outsiders to rejoin the war against Sting's alliance; last week Eric Bischoff booked Scott Hall to face Goldberg at Souled Out, and this week Nash and Hall will team with "The Chosen One" Jeff Jarrett against Sting, Goldberg and the United States Champion Booker T in this week's huge main event. </p><p> </p><p>

So don't forget to tune into WCW Monday Nitro!!!!</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

What I'm really liking is the Outsiders's qualms with Michaels. They are right, the three are friends, not a boss and his underlings, and Shawn really hasn't been there for his team. So I'm pretty excited to see where that goes, or if it's all a ploy by the nWo.</p><p> </p><p>

Tony and Mike then runs down tonight's card, focusing on the huge six man tag team main event as The Outsiders will team with Jeff Jarrett to take on Sting, Goldberg and Booker T. They talk about the recent issues between the WCW World Heavyweight Champion, Shawn Michaels, and The Outsiders and they wonder if Nash and Hall will get back on the same page with Michaels here tonight. They also bring up the supposed traitor within the ranks of Sting's alliance, with Mike saying that, true or not, it has to be in the back of Sting's mind here just days away from Souled Out his shot at the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Would they be added to the Tag Team title match at Souled Out? Shawn and Bischoff are once again trying to convince Nash and Hall to put their differences aside and focus on the bigger picture and help their friend to retain the World Title. Nash says it's funny how Shawn only seems to remember their friendship when he wants something from them because he's sure as hell never around when they need something from him. Hall says that, yeah, they used to be friends with Shawn...but he's not sure the Shawn Michaels who joined WCW is the same guy they knew before. Shawn says that he's still the same guy, he's still their friend and if he has given them a reason to doubt that, then he apologizes for that. Bischoff says that it's time to put these petty issues aside and get back on the same page. Nash and Hall exchange looks, and Nash then says that Shawn and Bischoff can talk all they want but until they actually do something to back up their words, he really couldn't care less what they have to say. Shawn and Bischoff then leaves the locker room, both of them visibly frustrated, as Tony notes that things remain unresolved between Shawn Michaels and the Outsiders <strong>(B-)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/TonySchiavone3.jpg</span><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/MikeTenay3.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> We cut back to the announce table where Tony informs us that the next match is about to get underway, but before he can say anything else he is interrupted by a piece of music that has not been heard in WCW for a little while now....</p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Ken%20Anderson%203.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> It is the music of The Three, and out walks one third of the group; Ken Anderson, who is dressed in a suit. Anderson makes his way over to the announce table where Tony and Mike both look like a couple of huge question marks as they clearly have no idea what Anderson is doing out here. Anderson puts on a headset and sits down next to Mike Tenay, saying that since Eric Bischoff finally had the good sense to send that dinosaur Dusty Rhodes packing, he decided to come out here and raise the quality level of the announcing by joining Tony and Mike. Tony and Mike both look less than thrilled to have Anderson out there, and they certainly aren't happy with Anderson's shot at Dusty Rhodes, but Anderson warns them that if they're not careful, he's got a couple of buddies who could easily take over their jobs for them. Tony and Mike finally seems to resign themselves to their fate of having Ken Anderson as their broadcast partner, at least for tonight, and Tony sends us down to the ring for our second match of the night. <strong>(D)</strong></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="36487" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/NormanSmiley.jpg</span>vs.<span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RickyBanderas2.jpg</span>w/<span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/JamesMitchell3.jpg</span><p> </p><p> </p><p> This one started off with El Mesías charging at Smiley, but Smiley managed to duck his charging opponent and hit a standing dropkick. He may think that he's the next big thing, and he may think that he's unstoppable after what he just did, but he will soon come to find out the same thing that so many people have found out before him and that is that NOBODY ever has the upper hand on "The Nature Boy"! Booker T and Jeff Jarrett started things off, giving the viewers a preview of the United States Championship title match that will take place Sunday night at Souled Out. Booker and Jarrett traded holds and moves for a while, neither man gaining any real advantage over the other. That was until Kevin Nash saw the opportunity to drive a knee into Booker T's back which allowed "Double J" to take control while the referee admonished "Big Sexy" about the interference. Nash, Hall and Jarrett maintained control for the next several minutes until Booker finally made it to Goldberg. Scott Hall tagged in at the same time and we go another Souled Out preview as Goldberg and Scott Hall exchanged blows in the middle of the ring. Goldberg hit the Spear on Hall and set him up for the Jackhammer, but Nash was in to stop that from happening. Nash and Goldberg exchanged blows, but then Goldberg suddenly exploded toward Nash and hit another Spear!!!! The distraction by Nash allowed Jarrett to tag in and Goldberg tagged in the Stinger. As Sting and Jarrett went back and forth in the ring, Nash and Hall held a brief meeting outside the ring as both of them were hurting from the Spears by Goldberg. Suddenly the fans started booing as Nash and Hall had apparently decided that enough was enough and the Outsiders made their way back up the ramp, evidently walking out on the match and their partner, Jeff Jarrett. Once the Outsiders had disappeared into the back, suddenly facing a three on one disadvantage, it was only a matter of time before Jarrett was eventually put down, which he was by Sting who hit the Scorpion Deathdrop for the victory. </p><p> </p><p> </p><p> <strong>Sting, Goldberg and Booker T defeated Jeff Jarrett, Kevin Nash and Scott Hall at 15.10 by pinfall when Sting pinned Jarrett following a Scorpion Deathdrop after the Outsiders walked out on the match (B-)</strong></p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/Sting3.jpg</span><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BookerT.jpg</span><span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BillGoldberg2.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Sting, Booker T and Goldberg stands tall in the middle of the ring, but Tony is quick to point out that even though they won they probably did not want to win a match that way with Nash and Hall walking out. Now these two long-standing enemies will face each other again at Souled Out in a match that is sure to be more of a fight than an actual wrestling match. Booker T, on the other hand, has been on fire ever since returning to WCW and defeating Scott Hall at the Great American Bash and wining the US Title was just further proof of that, and you can be sure that Booker T will be looking to hold on to that title for a long time to come. Will Booker T successfully defend his US Title against "The Chosen One"? Or will Jeff Jarrett make the most of the opportunity he earned for himself at the Bash and walk out of Souled Out as the new United States Champion?</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="36487" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">Master Versus Student</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/RicFlair2.jpg</span>vs.<span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/SeanOHaire2001.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> When Ric Flair took the Natural Born Thrillers under his wing he vowed to make them the future stars of WCW, but when Mike Sanders turned on Sean O'Haire, O'Haire decided that he was better off on his own and away from everyone else--including Ric Flair-- which "The Nature Boy" saw as the ultimate sign of disrespect. Flair has vowed to beat some respect into Sean O'Haire at Souled Out, but Flair has also been doing anything and everything he could to stay away from O'Haire over the past several weeks, choosing instead to send Mike Sanders and Bam Bam Bigelow to do his dirty work for him. Mesías attacked Davey Boy the following week as well, forcing Davey Boy to miss the final Nitro before Souled Out because of the injuries he sustained during the attack. Davey Boy Smith has vowed to be at Souled Out to fight the monster known as El Mesías, but Mesías' manager, The Minister, has made a vow of his own; that if Davey Boy Smith shows up at Souled Out it will be the last time anyone sees him in a WCW ring ever again.</p><p> </p></div><p></p><p></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="36487" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div><div style="text-align:center;"><p> </p><p> <strong><span style="text-decoration:underline;">WCW Cruiserweight Championship</span></strong></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/WCWCW.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/ChavoGuerreroJr.jpg</span>vs.<span>http://i156.photobucket.com/albums/t1/bigdaddycool2sweet/Euro%20Wrestling/WCW/BrianChristopher.jpg</span></p><p> </p><p> </p><p> Chavo Guerrero Jr. is just a couple of months away from having held the WCW Cruiserweight Championship for a full year, but Brian Lawler is looking to finally put an end to Chavo's reign before it reaches the one year mark.
