It is time for Wrestlefestival to start this Sunday and we jave a special edition preview for both Title Bout Wrestling and the extravaganza that is The DeColt Wrestlefestival: Night One! Tickets are sold out, but visit the outside of The Canadian Air Centre for meet and greets with your favorite stars along with games, exhibition matches and many more things! <div style="text-align:center;">http://imageshack.us/a/img5/1860/cgc.jpg</div> The DeColt brothers are back and ready for action. Will Alex accept Gargantuan's challenge that was laid out last week? What kind of shape is Jack DeColt in? What part will Ricky play this Sunday if any at all? In action we have three great matches for you all. First we will see Zeus and Stevie take on The Predators. Both teams could use a win here if they wish to improve their chances at a tag title match. The Soldiers of Fortune have a dance partner for night one, but there is always a chance they will defend on night two and a the winner would seem more favorable to get a matchup. Next the muscle of Elite, Dan DaLay, takes on Skip Beau. Skip has not had the best of luck as of late and having to run into DaLay soon after taking on Gargantuan seems rather cruel. Even so he won't back down and take this challenge head on. Finally in the main event we will have Eddie Chandler taking on Thrill Seeker on what could be considered a warmup match for his world title shot on Monday. Of course Thrill Seeker cannot be taken lightly and a win over one of the members of Elite could do nothing but good for him. It is hard to say if they deserve this shot just yet, but the match makers seem to think differently. He has taken apart Jack DeColt physically and mentally so far and finally the two will meet in the ring one on one. Is Jack healed up to take this win? Will The 187 get involved? I go 1-1 with these two matches and since I picked Jett from the last one, I pick Thomas here. Black Dragons are a good team and they will almost surely get the tag titles at some point. That said they still pretty new so I´d say it´s bit too early for them to get the tag belts at this point.

Main Event

Nate Johnson vs Jack DeColt

Could easily go either way but the way I see it, Johnson has been on top pretty much their whole feud so far so it´s time to give Jack a win.

DD: I think that isn't quite right. I think they are ready to see that the brothers are all fine and look forward to seeing Jack DeColt finally get his hands on Nate Johnson one on one.

PV: They are dreaming. Nate Johnson has executed his plan flawlessly. He is obviously the favorite tonight.

DD: Well we are a few hours away from finding that out. I hear that the DeColt brothers are in the house and they have something to say!

RD: My brothers are in action tonight. If anyone tries to get involved you will have to deal with me.

JD: Nate Johnson! You have picked the wrong family to mess with. You kidnapped my wife. You and your thug of a sidekick tied me up and beat me up. You assaulted my brothers! Tonight that all ends! Tonight I will KO you and The 187 if he decides to get in the ring with me!

AD: And don't think I forgot about you and your new master, Gargantuan. You want me tonight? You got it. I am ready for a fight and I am putting my world title on the line! I don't run and I am not hiding. I'll see you in the ring, big guy.

RD: We are united. We are DeColts!

AD, JD, RD: It's DeColt time!

<ul><li>Warren and Nathan work quick to try and isolate Stevie and keep him in the ring. </li><li>It works for awhile, but Stevie eventually frees himself to tag in his larger partner. </li><li>Zeus runs wild on both men and tosses Black from the ring before hefting up Warren and slamming him into the center of the ring. </li><li>Stevie climbs the turnbuckle then onto Zeus' shoulders. Shooting Star Press! </li><li>Zeus kicks Black back to the outside as Stevie gets the win for his team. </li></ul>

Dan DaLay is furiously punching away while Eddie Chandler is lounging about and not looking at all concerned he has a match coming up. Adrian Garcia walks in and claps his hands to get the attention of all three.

AG: Dan, get ready. We are about to go turn that little no name apart. Eddie, don't forget you have to show how overrated Thrill Seeker is.

SSD: How could you not get me a match tonight at all?

AG: Shooter, I got you one for tomorrow so settle down. It should be an easy one. I am going to let you have Thrill Seeker after Eddie has softened him up for you.

Eddie just grins and mouths 'You're welcome' to Sean. Deeley looks far from amused.

AG: Oh don't worry, Sean. I am sure it will be a match that the Elite will never forget. Come now, Dan.

Adrian has a bit of a devious smirk on his face as he and Dan leave the locker room. Deeley looks frustrated and turns to punch the bag he was holding as hard as he can while Eddie gets a bit of a devious look himself.

DD: Deeley doesn't seem to like he is the only Elite member left off the card tonight.

PV: Well if he wasn't performing so poorly as of late perhaps that wouldn't be the case.

DD: He took on Alex DeColt and did well. That is hardly performing poorly.

DD: Well....no.

PV: I rest my case.

<ul><li>Skip starts out strong and tries to take the fight to DaLay. </li><li>It only works out for a few moments and then Dan overpowers the youngster and takes control. </li><li>Brutal body shots and forearms soften Beau up before he is tossed to the ropes. </li><li>He bounces off and is nearly turned inside out by the Decapitator Lariat. </li><li>A big foot rests on the chest of Beau and the three count is made. </li></ul>

DD: Skip tried, but Dan DaLay is just too strong.

What looks like a unused part of the arena, Nate and The 187 are in a corner talking to one another and possibly hiding from Jack DeColt.

NJ: I know why you are really helping me. The money was just part of the deal. Make sure no one gets involved in tonight's match and I will make sure to hold up the other part of our bargain.

The 187 just nods, but he still doesn't seem too sold on what is being told to him.

NJ: You don't think I have that pull? I got some connections. I don't expect any trouble, but stop it if there is. Then you will get what you really want.

There is a light tch and for the first time The 187 speaks.

187: Keep your word or you will be the next one to feel pain. I get what I want and if you can't deliver then you might just disappear.

The big man stalks off as Nate looks a bit irked at first, but then just smiles and soon walks off as well.

PV: I don't know! I know jack and squat about The 187 other than he is a mean man. I think Nate better be able to deliver.

DD: I agree. A match with Jack might take a lot out of him. Having to deal with an angry 187 AFTERWARDS?

PV: I am sure it won't come to that. Nate has been planning things all too carefully.

<ul><li>Eddie jumps Thrill Seeker, but finds himself quickly countered and on the defensive. </li><li>Quick strikes and movements allow Thrill Seeker to stagger Chandler and dump him out of the ring. </li><li>Seeker plays to the crowd and dives out at Chandler. </li><li>Garcia is close enough to pull Eddie out of the way and Seeker crashes hard onto the ground. </li><li>Eddie goes on the offensive and easily manhandles the smaller Thrill Seeker and keeps him grounded with several submission holds. </li><li>The crowd grows louder and Seeker starts to get a second wind. </li><li>He breaks free and starts to fight back. </li><li>Big lariat missed by Eddie, spin kick to the back of his head! </li><li>Eddie is reeling as a dropkick downs him and seeker quickly climbs to the top rope. </li><li>He dives, but Eddie moves out of the way to avoid the Frog Splash. </li><li>Both men are slow to get up, but Eddie manages to spin Seeker about. GERMAN SUPLEX. </li><li>Chandler locks the dazed seeker into an STF. Seeker has no choice but to tap. </li></ul>

The monster just grins as he reaches over and picks up the television. He then roars and tosses it across the room.

???: I am glad to hear that. Let us give Alex a good time tonight.

DD: Welcome everyone! It is time for the biggest event in all of Canada! It is time to kick off The DeColt Wrestlefestival with plenty of action here in night one!

PV: I am exciting about two in particular. We get to see Gargantuan take apart Alex DeColt and then Nate Johnson finally defeat Jack DeColt once and for all.

DD: Jumping the gun a bit early there, Phil. Never count the DeColts out no matter how bad the situation.

PV: I am trying to be an optimist, Ditterich! I already had to suffer through Title Bout with you so try not to be so annoying. We are going to be here for a few hours more.

DD: I can see this is going to be a long night indeed.

<ul><li>The champs jump the challengers and start to overpower the younger duo. </li><li>It works momentarily, but dual clotheslines are dodged and the Dragons hit stereo dropkicks to send both Soldiers outside. </li><li>The ref finally manages to get a single man of each team in the ring and Fate starts out having some trouble with Frankie Lee. </li><li>Dragons use quick tags and their speed to give the champs trouble, but a distraction and a low blow to Mikey by Fate soon lets the veterans take control. </li><li>Big power moves decimate Mikey and he struggles to ever get a tag. </li><li>He finally rolls out of a suplex attempt and makes the tag to Frankie. </li><li>Frankie starts to go off on both men, but soon gets overpowered as well. </li><li>Fate takes Mikey off the apron while he is still trying to recover and Destiny hits a big running powerslam on Frankie to get the pin. </li></ul>

Rating: D</div>

DD: A good try by The Black Dragons, but power and experience wins out this time.

PV: Still pretty sure they weren't too deserving of a shot. This loss should just be sure they don't get another one for quite some time I would hope.

DD: It might be awhile no matter what. There are plenty of hungry teams that are out to try to get a shot at the champs.

The monster instantly stops and gets up as he shrugs off the officials tugging on him before quietly exiting the ring. Gargantuan just grins as he nods to the unknown man and they both leave as Alex is checked on.

<ul><li>The match starts out slow as both men are so familiar with one another they have trouble getting any sort of advantage. </li><li>After several reversals it is Bobby Thomas who finally gets frustrated enough he just right out pokes Shane in the eye. </li><li>Thomas gets a talking to, but takes Shane down to the mat and starts to work over his legs. </li><li>Shane is trapped for a bit, but the fans and Jenny cheering him seem to give him the strength to squirm free and start to fight back. </li><li>Shane becomes a flurry of quick strikes and high flying moves. </li><li>Bobby has a hard time fighting back as he is constantly swinging and grabbing at nothing and then getting blindsided. </li><li>Shane is on fire and he has the crowd going wild for him. He nails a corner spear and pulls Bobby away from the corner and lays him out. </li><li>Shane goes up top and he goes for a big splash! </li><li>Bobby is hit, but uses the momentum to roll Shane over. He grabs the tights! </li><li>Bobby wins it as Jenny tries to tell Francis Long about the tight pulling. </li></ul>

<ul><li>Ozzie is cautious to start and with good reason as each attempt to overpower Price doesn't work. </li><li>The much stronger Price whips Ozzie into the ropes and misses a big lariat. </li><li>Ozzie tries to keep up with a stick and move approach. </li><li>Price finally catches Ozzie and hits a big suplex. </li><li>Ozzie quickly scrambles out of the ring, but then is surprised when Price actually takes a running dive and leaps outside. </li><li>Price keeps Ozzie outside only momentarily while delivering a few stiff chops. </li><li>Ozzie gets tossed back in, and tries to surprise Price with a small package which scores only a two count. </li><li>While they are tangled up it does look like Ozzie delivers a low blow which allows him to finally go on offense. </li><li>Price has some trouble recovering, but he finally gets a second wind and starts to fight back. </li><li>Ozzie is rocked by a big forearm and he is picked up and slammed into the mat. </li><li>Price goes up top which is a rarity for him and then he surprises the crowd by actually performing a moonsault and nailing it. </li><li>The champ is all smiles as Francis Long counts to three. </li></ul>

<ul><li>Nate comes out on his own and is instantly attacked by Jack before the bell even rings. </li><li>Jack fights with a savage fury as he just whips Nate from pillar to post and beats him down. </li><li>Long is close to disqualifying Jack when he finally gets to pull him back away from Nate as Johnson rolls to the outside. </li><li>Jack goes after, but Nate grabs and tugs him into a ring post to daze DeColt. </li><li>Nate is shaking off his own daze as he starts to work over Jack on the outside. </li><li>He sends Jack into the steps and then hefts him up to toss him into the ring. </li><li>Johnson tries to keep Jack on the mat, but Jack's anger seems to be giving him more strength than normal. </li><li>He breaks free of the sleeper hold he was in and starts to tear into Johnson once more. </li><li>Big lariat followed by a few fist drops. </li><li>Jack hefts Johnson up. He's looking for the DeColt Driver! </li><li>Johnson slips free and kicks Jack in the back of the leg. </li><li>Dropkick to the side of the head lays out Jack once more. </li><li>Johnson resumes his assault, a slow and methodical one that focuses on the legs of Jack. </li><li>His pinfall and submission attempts all fail and Jack seems to slowly be recovering with each kick out and break. </li><li>Johnson is desperately trying to put Jack away. He looks for the Canadian Destroyer, but instead is hefted up and over by Jack. </li><li>The adrenaline seems to be pumped through Jack as he hefts Johnson up overhead then slams him to the mat. </li><li>He goes for the DeColt Driver again and nails it! </li><li>One...TWO....TH...FOOT ON THE ROPE AT THE LAST POSSIBLE SECOND! </li><li>A frustrated Jack looks to hit Johnson with another. Johnson seems conscious enough to rake Jack in the eyes and slip free. </li><li>German suplex by Johnson. He goes for a single leg crab. </li><li>It is locked in the middle of the ring, but Jack looks to easily reach the ropes only to be pulled away at the last second. </li><li>Jack struggles and can't make the ropes, but finds the energy to break free! </li><li>Both men back to their feet and are looking worse for wear. Jack goes to heft up Johnson again. Johnson slips free. </li><li>Kick to Jack's gut. Canadian Destroyer! </li><li>One....two.....THR...Jack kicks out with Long's hand just an inch away from the mat! </li><li>Johnson can't believe it and he pummels Jack some more. </li><li>Another Canadian Destroyer attempt. Reversed! Decolt Dri....Johnson slips free! </li><li>Jack turns about and he is met with a big backhand that angers him. He tries to grab Johnson and misses. </li><li>Johnson hits a dropkick that sends Jack into the corner. It is being reported he will compete, but will he be able to handle taking on three other men and keep his title? He isn't the only DeColt that is a mess at this moment as well. After a long, brutal match Jack DeColt was unable to beat Nate Johnson. While he was able to eventually get up and leave the ring on his own, it is reported that Jack left the arena soon after and hasn't been heard from sense. Could Nate Johnson really have done what he promised to do? Will we ever see Jack again? There can only be so much speculation at this point. This looks like a good spot to make the title change without having Alex looking weak, but somehow I doubt it will happen. Guess the main thing is that there is Ricky there to help Alex, plus I doubt C-Corp would be ok to have Chandler (who I see as most likely option if the title changes hands) get the title with him being part of ELITE and thus pretty likely rival to C-Corp as I´m pretty sure the goals from those two groups clash more than a little. Plus there is 187 as well, and since he´s already clashing with DeColts he might well be after them too. So basically I expect somekind of DQ finish here with one of more interference.

CGC Canadian Championship

I think either 187 or Oleg Dorosklov to be the opponent and both guys seem to be getting a push and I believe that midcard title run could benefit either one of those two so looks like Price´s title run will be over.

I have to admit that I have a hard time to buy Thrill Seeker as credible threat to main event heels and so I go with Deeley.

Question 1: Who is Christian Price's opponent. He is a current roster member.

Well I already narrowed it down to two... guess Oleg Dorosklov would be the more likely option in my eyes since 187 has already feuded with DeColts so feud again Price might be seem like a step down for him.

Question 2: Who is Whippy's partner?

No idea to be honest, probably someone from development or completely new signing but I just say Donte Dunn since he´s the one guy from active roster that I could see working with Whippy.

DD: I want to argue with you, but Gargantuan put a big hurting on the champion last night. I am not sure how physically ready Alex can be for this.

PV: This really could be a great Wrestlefestival. Jack loses and sulks away from the company and now Alex will lose the title!

DD: We will find out if that is true in just a few hours. First let us take a look at the main event tonight before going to our first match of the evening!

<ul><li>The fans seem to be into the choice of partner for Whippy, but The Predators seem unamused. </li><li>So much in fact they jump the new duo and toss Whippy out of the ring before trying to work over Americana. </li><li>The masked wrestler ducks a double team and bounces off the ropes to catch Nathan and Warren with a combination head scissors/headlock takedown. </li><li>Both Predators roll out of the ring, but are soon met with dual dives from the ring by Americana and Whippy. </li><li>Americana and Whippy get Technique in the ring and the pair switch off and show good ring work despite never teaming before. </li><li>The Predators never recover and America tags in Whippy before intercepting Nathan as he tries to get in the ring. </li><li>Whippy hits with the Shining Wizard and the new team picks up a win. </li></ul>

DD: Well I didn't expect that at all! Americana seems to have found himself a new friend and in turn gets his first win in CGC!

An unhappy duo of Miss Cameron and Oleg Dorosklov come to the ring. The former grabs a microphone as they both get in the ring.

MC: Last night I made it clear my client wanted a match to prove himself tonight. Instead he finds himself left off the card entirely! He is a gold medalist! This is no way to treat him. If this is how we are going to be treated perhaps we will go to N....hmm?"

Oleg seems to be staring at a group of young men at ringside that seem to be ignoring what is being said in the ring. One in particular is being glared at and it catches the attention of Miss Cameron who walks over and points to him.

MC: You there. I am talking and you will listen....in fact. Get in the ring. I want a better look at you.

The young man that gets in the ring looks apprehensive, but he tries to keep a straight face as he looks to Oleg and keeps his distance.

The microphone is pulled away from him and Miss Cameron gets a bit of a devious smile.

MC: Well William. I don't like to be ignored. Oleg doesn't like to be ignored. He wanted a match tonight and I guess he will now have it.

William Kent looks ready to retort, but Oleg soon attacks him.

<ul><li>Oleg is toying with the poor fan and peppering him with kicks and punches. </li><li>Much to Oleg and Cameron's surprise William starts to fight back and he rocks the Ukrainian with a European uppercut. </li><li>William actually picks up Oleg, but an elbow to the head stuns him and allows Oleg to slip off the shoulders. </li><li>Oleg is no longer fooling around and he tosses William to the ground and works him over. </li><li>There is no referee given this isn't a real match, but Miss Cameron takes off her suit jacket to show she is wearing a striped blouse under it. </li><li>Oleg soon has William choked out and Cameron mockingly lifts and drops the poor fan's arm and declares her client the winner. </li></ul>

They get Stevie in the ring and they isolate him. </li><li>They use power and their tag experience to keep Stevie in their corner and brutalize the smaller wrestler as Zeus fumes in the corner and shouts for Stevie to tag him in. </li><li>The champs perhaps get too cocky. Fate is toying with Stevie and when he goes to heft him up for the powerslam Stevie slips out the back and dropkicks Fate into Destiny. </li><li>Fate tries to recover and goes to try and grab Stevie. Too late! </li><li>Zeus gets the tag and he goes to town on the champs. </li><li>A series of quick punches to Fate followed by a flex with a shout of "MUSCLES!" from Zeus and the crowd before a big uppercut takes out Fate. </li><li>Destiny tries to help his partner, but Zeus catches and hefts him into the torture rack. </li><li>Fate is out cold as Stevie climbs to the top turnbuckle. Shoot Stevie Press! </li><li>Three seconds later the crowd goes wild as new tag team champs are crowned. </li></ul>

<ul><li>The match starts off quickly paced as both men counter one another. </li><li>Seeker has the speed advantage, but Deeley is skilled enough to defend against the quick strikes sent his way. </li><li>A leg is caught and he sweeps low to ground Seeker and starts to take control. </li><li>Deeley controls the match for a bit by keeping Seeker grounded, but Seeker seems to figure out Deeley's moves enough to slip free and score a surprise kick to the head. </li><li>Seeker starts to gain momentum and his offense becomes too quick for Deeley to fully defend himself. </li><li>Seeker is rolling, but gets tripped up by Garcia which allows Deeley to recover enough to nail a flying forearm. </li><li>He does seem to have a few words with his manager before going back over to Seeker and puts him in a headlock. </li><li>Garcia climbs on the apron and Long goes to try to get him down. Deeley looks furious and starts to get up. He fails to notice someone getting in the ring behind him. </li></ul>

<ul><li>A crazy brawl erupts as all four men go at it. </li><li>Youth Energy 2.0 gain the advantage and soon send Mean Business out of the ring. Shane Nelson cannonballs out and takes out both men. </li><li>Abs is rolled in and Jett starts to work over the dazed man. </li><li>Quick strikes followed up by a rolling uppercut sets Abs flying back, but it is to his corner so Thomas quickly tags himself in. </li><li>He manages to down Jett and starts to gain control over the younger competitor. </li><li>Abs recovers eventually and the two start to beat on Jett. </li><li>Abs misses a corner charge at one point and Jett manages to dive and tag in Nelson. </li><li>He starts to work over both members of Mean Business, but the numbers game soon catches up to him. </li><li>When the ref is trying to get Thomas out of the ring, it is enough of a distraction that Abs low blows Nelson then rolls him up. </li><li>Thomas catches Jett and keeps him from breaking the pin. </li></ul>

A loud roar of boos erupt from the crowd when Nate Johnson and The 187 step out and head for the ring. Nate Johnson looks as smug as ever as The 187 calmly gets in the ring and leans back in a corner with arms crossed as Nate gets himself a microphone.

NJ: I could gloat right now. Tell everyone how I was right and you were all wrong, but tonight is not about me. I got my celebration is done. Tonight is about honoring my end of a deal.

He turns to The 187 and that smirk just grows larger. He holds out a hand which isn't accepted. Even so Nate doesn't seem bothered by the fact.

NJ: When I got the help of The 187 make no mistake. He is like me. An ambitious man and in order to get what I wanted I had to make a promise. So tonight I keep the promise and I talked to the powers that be. Tonight! The 187 is the challenger for the CGC Canadian title! I would wish you luck, but you don't believe in it.

With that being said Nate Johnson gives a bit of a mocking bow and he slips out of the ring. The crowd does not sound happy as all, but The 187 does finally let a smile cross his features as he moves to the middle of the ring and awaits Christian Price.

DD: Christian Price's opponent is apparently The 187! In only his second match with the company he gets a shot at the CGC Canadian title!

<ul><li>Both men start slugging out it out from the start. </li><li>Heavy haymakers and forearms are thrown and neither man staggers until Price puts all his weight into a forearm. </li><li>He presses the advantage and the two brawl around the ring and fall to the outside. </li><li>Price continues to hold an advantage, but he misses a punch and hits the post which stalls things. </li><li>The 187 quickly headbutts Price to daze him and then gets in the ring to beat the count. </li><li>Price gets in as well, but is met with knee to the side of the head. </li><li>The 187 starts to gain control and nails a sick DDT. </li><li>He stalks the champ and looks ready to heft him up for the Death Valley Driver. </li><li>He starts to pick up Price, but then gets a surprise uppercut from the champ. </li><li>Price starts fighting back. Price Check! He goes for the pin! </li><li>One...two...shoulder up halfway to three! </li><li>Price tosses The 187 into a corner and works him over. He sets him up on the top turnbuckle. </li><li>He looks to be going for a superplex, but he is pushed off! </li><li>The 187 dives forward and takes out the champ with a clothesline. </li><li>187 gets up and starts to heft up Price again. </li><li>Reversal and a second Price Check! </li><li>Price doesn't seem to be satisfied. He starts to go up to the top. </li><li>Moonsault attempt! The 187 barely rolls away in time! </li><li>Both men are being counted to ten as they slowly get up just in time. </li><li>They swing heavy rights at one another until The 187 actually ducks and hefts up Price </li><li>Death Valley Driver! Both men are swinging wildly and Francis Long has to dodge to keep from being knocked out himself. </li><li>An eyepoke stuns Joey enough that Ryan quickly hefts him up and tosses him into a corner. </li><li>Powell beats on Joey for quite some time and seems to have things well in control. </li><li>Poison finally manages to fight back and a dropkick sends Powell staggering into Francis Long and both men knock heads. </li><li>Poison works over Powell and then nails him with a crisp German suplex. </li><li>He starts to climb the ropes, but then notices Long is still down and goes to assist. </li><li>It gives Powell time to recover and he reaches into his trunks. </li><li>Faith warns Poison and he turns about and dives forward, avoiding the strike. </li><li>Long is still getting up and Poison goes for a counter attack and picks Powell up. </li><li>Powell flails but then nails Joey right in the forehead with the knuckles. </li><li>He falls on top of the unconscious Poison and tosses the knuckles out of the ring as Francis Long recovers long enough to count to three. </li></ul>

Some strong matches, but not enough to match that of night one which I thought odd since I thought overall the card felt a bit weaker. I guess the angles really helped out since Alex hit a home run and got a 100 on night one. But hey! New champs abound!

Backstage:

I have to say I am impressed as of late. Everyone has been on their best behavior and even the problematic talents have been quiet this month. Maybe there are just too many good vibes coming from the locker these days which is something I can live with. Vin Tanner has perhaps been the one making the best of the situation. He started doing impersonations two of the last four weeks and all the guys seem to really enjoy it.

Developmental:

I wanted to give Oleg something to do on the second day of Wrestlefestival. the problem was considering who to put him up against. I didn't want to have him lose just yet, but at the same time I don't think he is ready for a title run of any sort. I brought up Kentucky Bill for two reasons. One I thought of all the people Deano has right now he was going to bring the best out of Oleg. I also wanted to see how the fans might react to him and the response was positive. Bill is a great guy and a hard worker that will get his time on the main roster soon enough. I think both prospects from Mexico are close to being ready to debut as well.

The problem is finding space to put them and not getting them totally lost in the shuffle. We only have an hour of television right now and it is tough to feature who I want. If I had more time to work with I would bring up these guys. Skip Beau and Roy Edison are also victims of a roster that is perhaps a bit too big at the moment. I guess really it isn't a bad thing to have so much talent. No one is complaining about being stuck where they are at so for now I guess everyone stays where they are at.

Contracts:

Two big contracts came up near the end of March and were swiftly dealt with. Adrian Garcia will always be 'The Man' in my eyes when it comes to the top heel manager in the company. Victor Cruz was brought in and has promise, but he has a lot of work to do. Adrian is still young and has so many years left in him. He got a bit of a raise and will be with us for another few years.

Jack DeColt was the major one I had to deal with. Surprisingly Jack was willing to take a pay cut of about twenty percent of his last deal. I am unsure if he had a talk with Alex about finances or not. We are making money, but the signing of new talent and the addition of a child company did put a nice dent in our overall earnings per month. Jack has just been a great man to work with and I gave him a bit of a bonus for allowing Nate to go over him without fuss.

I only offered one new contract over the course of the month, but it was unsuccessful. Erik Strong was struggling on deciding to sign with us or stay loyal to North of the Border Pro. In the end he signed with them with a five year deal so I guess he is off our radar for a long time. A shame because the kid has a great personality and in a company like North of the Border Pro he doesn't get to showcase it as much as we could.

There were two other people I considered offering a contract. I will admit I perhaps jumped the gun on one. News broke that Rogue was leaving SWF and I instantly sent feelers out only to find out why that is the case. Jack is a good talent and all, but the amount of money he was wanting was too much for a company like us. He is a instant main event talent, but he wanted DeColt money. It just isn't worth it given his age and the wear and tear that his body has gone through over the years.

The other I admit I am still considering. Harry Allen is leaving TCW soon it looks like and I think he could be a good short term guy for the middle of the card. I even toyed with hiring his old partner Ford Gumble and giving the tag division another team. The latter idea I shot down after I saw some recent Gumble matches and unless he took a very small contract it wouldn't be worth it. Allen is still on my radar. I will see what happens over the next few months and decide what to do.

Overall:

This year is turning out well. I think Wrestlefestival was a good success and we got some good matches out of it. Alex shows he can pretty much carry anyone to a good match by the result of his match with Gargantuan and we also had a surprise of Thrill Seeker and Shooter Sean Deeley putting on the best match of the event. I am just glad we have a few more weeks than normal to build up to the next PPV.

The only downside of the PPV was Christian Price getting a bit angry over dropping his title to The 187. I had to explain to him that he had outgrown it and I wanted to try and move him to the next level. Even after that I think he intentionally sandbagged a few times. Ali was at least professional and didn't complain or try to start a fight with Price. I hope in the end Christian realizes this is the best for both men and he didn't look weak. Ali is one of the hottest things in the company right now and I can see him as a future main eventer. Getting to work with Nate Johnson gave him a boost and hopefully now that he is on his own he can continue to keep up the good work. If he has trouble maybe he will have to revisit that alliance or perhaps find a new person to work with.

It was two hard battles back to back, but Alex DeColt managed to retain the CGC World Title at The DeColt Wrestlefestival. He gets a short time to rest up, but he will have a new challenger soon enough. Over the course of the next few weeks we will find out who the next challenger will be for the title through an eight man tournament. The quarterfinals shall start this Sunday on Title Bout wrestling and over the next five weeks we will find ourselves with one man left and he will be the one to face Alex DeColt at Chaos in the Cage in May.

The Tournament Begins!

The DeColt Wrestlefestival has ended for another year and now in just six weeks we will have Chaos in the Cage. Starting this Sunday the tournament for the next contender for the CGC World Title begins with two quarterfinal matches. Two competitors will move on while two will find their chances of getting a title match dashed at least for the next several weeks.

There will be one non tournament match this week though. Whippy the Clown will be put the test as he takes on the venerable Vin Tanner. He won't be able to joke around too much. Vin Tanner doesn't even seem to have a sense of humor and instead will just look to put the hurt to Whippy.

The first of the quarterfinal matches features former CGC Canadian Champion, Christian Price. Things could just be going bad to worse for Price in this case. His opponent for the evening will be the monster Gargantuan which has been a destructive force since coming under the control of the mysterious C-Corp.

The second match of the evening will be the main event. Bobby Thomas had success over the previous weekend getting a singles win over a long time rival in Shane Nelson as well as a tag team victory with his new partner, Terry Abs, over Youth Energy 2.0. He will try to continue his lucky streak against Shooter Sean Deeley. Deeley found himself kicked out of Elite in a rather violent fashion and he has to be looking forward to possibly advancing to face off against the man that attacked him, Dan DaLay.

It looks like a good start to a competitive tournament and a tired Alex DeColt will certainly be watching to see who advances. Tune in Sunday to catch all the action! Tune into Title Bout Wrestling!

DD: I have to say Gargantuan might be the favorite in this tournament. Christian Price seems to have run into some bad luck as of late. First he loses his title and now to advance he has to somehow beat Gargantuan.

AD: He's a DeColt just like us, Ricky. It is going to take more than Nate Johnson's head games to keep him down. We just have to be careful of...

Alex and Ricky both turn their attention to Shooter Sean Deeley who has stepped over. The rather unemotional wrestler just looks between them both and he just nods to Alex.

SSD: I want another shot at the title, but this time on my own terms. I'm done with Elite and now I can be who I am. I will show I am the best WRESTLER in this company when I win this tournament then defeat you for the title, Alex.

AD: I look forward to it, Deeley. Don't get ahead of yourself. I doubt you will let yourself do that though. You know what you have to do to reach me.

SSD: Bobby Thomas is just a victim tonight. I know what I have to do. Just watch me.

With that being said Deeley walks off and the two brothers are left alone again. Alex finally gets up and his movements are a bit slow. It looks like he still hasn't recovered from the double duty he pulled last weekend.

AD: Come on, Ricky. Let's go watch Christian and make sure he doesn't need help.

The match starts with Price throwing everything he has at the larger opponent. Gargantuan is rocked only slightly at first, but manages to shrug off the powerful punches and forearms being laid into him. Price is stopped dead cold when he eats a powerful headbutt from Garg. The monster takes control fully and not long after Price is laid out with Ultimate Backbreaker.

BT: Is that so? What of Terry? No offer for him?

AG: I...no. Terry seems talented, but he is not Elite. Not yet at least.

BT: And what of the tournament? What if I come against Dan DaLay?

AG: Well....I am sure something will be worked out to benefit us both!

Bobby Thomas doesn't seem to be buying into what Adrian is trying to sell him. He eventually shakes his head and reaches out to grab Adrian by the shoulder and move him out of the way.

BT: Not interested. I hope you understand Adrian.....it's just business.

Tanner seems unamused by Whippy's cheeky antics and starts to beat down on the clown. The veteran has control most of the match until Whippy confuses him with some fancy rolls and strange mime antics. It flusters Tanner who misses with a clothesline and gets rolled up for a surprise three count.

Americana comes rushing out and he tries to save his friend. Things do not look too good at first, but some fancy moves and quick thinking allows Americana to elude both men and dump Fraser out of the ring before nailing Tanner with a few staggering forearms and then sends the veteran out of the ring with a beautiful dropkick.

Shooter Sean Deeley vs Bobby Thomas</div>

The match starts out slow with both men being able to counter the moves of their opponent rather well. It is not fast paced, but it is a great technical display by both men. Bobby finally seems to get frustrated and a rake to the eyes allows him to get an advantage despite getting some talking to from Francis Long. Bobby continues on the offensive until the fans actually start to get behind Deeley. Eventually Deeley reverses an armbar and takes Bobby to the ground. The two battle for an advantage and Deeley seems to win as he rolls though and locks in a single leg crab. Bobby almost reaches the ropes, but then gets pulled back into the middle of the ring before the crab is reapplied. Bobby struggles again, but eventually taps out.

Much like Self I find my ratings never really changing enough to worry about it. I seem to go between 1.36 to 1.46 no matter how good of episode I put on. I also decided to do match write-ups a bit differently for the time being. The bullet points were kind of grinding on me a bit so I wanted to take a break from them. I think in the long run it makes writing up the show a bit faster and is less hassle for me.</div>
