[Thunder] - Hollywood Championship Grappling - Lights, Camera, Bodyslams

Recommended Posts

[in case anyone was wondering, MAW is far from dead. I posted a show. This is just something to do so I can avoid burnout and to have some fun with. Plus I really like the Thunderverse. Kudos to that team – awesome job. Just a heads up, shows are much shorter here than MAW (MAW averages about 11-12 pages a show, I want this to be around 5-6. Finally, strictly shows here. While I am playing as Jerry King, all non-show stuff will be reported via HCG’s website, keeping a mostly kayfabe view of things. So without further adieu…]

So come, every third Friday of the month, and watch the greatest show in all of Hollywood!

The True Stars of Hollywood

The HGC Hollywood Champion, The American Standard

Not only the American Standard, but the Hollywood Standard, the mask wearing patriot is the ultimate good guy. Why’s that? Clearly – American flag mask. Unless he wrestles in Canada or something, then he’s not as loved. But he embodies the American spirit – truth, justice and a little bit of consumerism.

http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y409/joshmancini/RobbieMartel_zps88230cf0.jpg

Robbie Martel

Evil Canadian invader, Martel came into HGC from the start. While he isn’t the most exciting wrestler, which many point to his Canadian background, he is an evil villain looking to get the best of America and the American Standard to prove Canadian superiority.

The Axis of EVIL - Little Italy, Maxim Kozlov & Anton Morozov

Little Italy and Maxim Kozlov are two men who have found themselves on the same side of the fence more than once when facing off against the American Standard and while the two weren’t always on the same page, it was the Russian Millionaire, Morozov, who brought the two men together after he was embarrassed by Lance Idol in order to not only avenge his embarrassment, but to bring about an end to the American Standard’s reign.

http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y409/joshmancini/LanceIdol_zps4f16c32d.jpg

Lance Idol

The hottest free agent in sports, Idol revealed at Championship Wrestling from Hollywood #10 that he would handle business on his own embarrassing Anton Morozov who had spent weeks before trying to schmooze the star to work for him. This embarrassment, while causing Hollywood fans to like Idol, has made Idol the number one target of the newly formed Axis of EVIL.

http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y409/joshmancini/JohnnyAxe_zps58eebde4.jpg

Johnny Axe

The boss man and self-made rock LEGEND, Johnny Axe hasn’t quite seen the success he’d like to see INSIDE the squared circle – spending most of 2012 on the losing end but Axe has promised to make 2013 the year to watch, and listen, for the golden records AND golden belts.

The HGC Tag Team Champions, Too Famous - Brian King & Famous C

While the fans refer to him as “Jerry’s Kid,” the son of “The Lawyer” isn’t living in his father’s shadow as he picked up Hollywood gold, teaming with Famous C to win the tag belts. Too Famous, as they’re known as, use every heel trick in the book and while the fans can’t stand them, the two have made an impact in the company already.

http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y409/joshmancini/BigAl_zpsad37fcc9.jpghttp://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y409/joshmancini/HarrisFurlong_zpsbf87e694.jpg

The Furlong Brothers – Big Al and Big Harris

They do their own stunts. They grew up in Hollywood. They’ve appeared (as extras) on How I Met Your Mother! The Furlong Brothers are loved by the Hollywood crowd as they are one of their own, even having SAG cards. However, they don’t let the fame go to their head – The Furlong Brothers aren’t ever too busy to get into the Hollywood ring – as proven by their previous tag title reign.

http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y409/joshmancini/JoeyDevastation_zps42e20e05.jpg

Joey Devastation

Who is Joey Devastation? Well he’s a little bit of Run, with some Ice Cube and Dr. Dre (during the N.W.A. heyday) mixed with the real deepness of Tupac – Joey D. is as real as they get and despite one of the edgier characters in the company, the fans in LA love their homeboy from their hometown.

http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y409/joshmancini/MikeSantorelli_alt_zpsb2d9ab92.jpg

Mike Santorelli

It’s TV’s Mike Santorelli! The reality show star (that is, Be A Star 2011 second round elimination) is nothing more than an over inflated, failed reality show star who likes to bully the “less fortunate” as he calls them. However, he can back his words up with a fist and the North Shore Super Star certainly has a future in HCG, if he can keep his mouth shut and wrestle.

http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y409/joshmancini/FargoKorben_zps7fcaf446.jpg

Fargo Korben

Probably the guy picked on the most by Santorelli, another 2011 Be A Star contestant, Korben actually made it to the final eight before elimination. While you might not be able to tell if Korben is sane or not, he’s not the man you want to meet in the squared circle – or “semisquare-dice circulous jimmyjam” well… you get the point. Korben’s been a victim of Santorelli’s lately, whether jealousy or Santorelli’s issue with Korben’s mental state and it seems like it’s almost going to reach a breaking point for Fargo Korben.

http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y409/joshmancini/ArtemisDream_zps5eb6fa16.jpg

Artemis Dream

Dream claims to be “every women’s dream and every man’s desire” and, whether that’s true or not, the stripping star has had a handful of successes in the squared circle although if these successes will be long term or simply because of his mind games, we shall find out.

http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y409/joshmancini/JeffStarfield_zps632f2c6f.jpg

Jeff Starfield

HCG’s resident nerd, Starfield is a scientist by day and a Trekkie wrestler at night. While Starfield isn’t a successful worker, yet, there’s always a chance he will set his phasers to stun (or perhaps KILL!) and pick up a victory in the near future!

http://i1273.photobucket.com/albums/y409/joshmancini/MaoriWarrior_zps9f2e7b94.jpg

Maori Warrior

Not much is known of the Maori Warrior who recently joined the HCG except he’s from New Zealand and can kick ass. And lots of it.

Forgot to add but Jeff Starfield rules and he should be holding ALL the championships. Even the tag belts. By himself. He's that damn good.

<p>I love HCG, is the company that I always start of. Fargo Korben is such a great wrestler. The only real problem is American Standard, he's great nostalgia factor, but as a wrestler he definetly sucks.</p><p> </p><p>

Who changes the titles on the first show of their dynasty anyways??</p><p> Hollywood Championship – The American Standard © vs. Robbie Martel – 12% prediction. MJStark risking it for the biscuit! I was a little… unsure of this title change when I planned it. I actually thought of going with a DQ, but when I saw the average Hollywood champion is ~3 months anyways, I wasn’t too worried about hurting the image of the belt. </p><p> </p><p> [so, that was my first ever TVerse show! And it came in about 5 or 6 pages.. So I’m happy with the length, sorry if others want a longer read. May I suggest my MAW? Haha. Seriously though, I am really enjoying the Thunderverse, just looking through the mod and renders. I’m very excited to dig myself deep and for me, HCG was just the perfect fit. It’s like… early 90’s WWF/WCW gimmickry (USA vs. Canada?! YES!) with the freedom to have my own influence… Very excited to get in my groove with HCG.]</p>
