The Background Information

Hello everyone. Thank you for taking the opportunity to read the beginning of this diary. As many of you know, there have been people who call me 'Mr. USPW' due to my many USPW diaries that I have done within the past. The longest USPW diary I have run within the past has been just short of 7 months. That is my second-longest running diary of all time. What I have yet to be able to do (something I have tried and failed at) is to run a USPW diary for a full real life year or in-game year. That has been my failure and something that I truly have regretted. But I am looking forward to trying again. I understand everything about my past so that does not need to be brought up here again. I hope that everyone can keep this on a pleasant basis.

But What About Your Other Diary?

My real world diary is far from dead. I am intending on running both diaries at the same time. It is something that I have done in the past with both success and failure. Though I had one of my greatest successes running two diaries together. This one will have more of a backstory than the real world one does. That is one thing that I appreciate about the Cornellverse. I can delve into a different universe.

Inspiration

jhd1 - A great diary writer and one that I go to for support again and again. He is one of my best friends on these GDS boards. He is also responsible for a lot of the graphics work that gets done both in the diary and in different games. I thank him for that.

Eisen-verse - Another amazing diary writer. He is a definite influence on this diary as one will see when things get running. He is another one of my friends and always offers good advice when I need it. His focus on the Supreme world has been an inspiration on my finding the USPW voice once more.

Alt/Render/Re-Render Artists - I cannot forget these amazing artists that bring the Cornellverse to life almost more-so than the real world. You will see a lot of alts/Re-Renders used within this diary. All credit for them goes to their respective artists. A special thank you goes to these artists.

Lexa90, BHK1978, critical-23, TheLeviticalLawKid3, 20LEgend, Bigpapa42, Emark, Tigerkinney, Rayelek, Midnightnick, RKOwnage and more - These names have been some of the more long-lasting names that have commented and predicted within my diaries in the past. They have been and always continue to be an inspiration to me in their comments and predictions. They always seem to stick by me through thick and thin, though some more-so than others now. But I just want to thank them here and now for their predictions and comments in the past.

I am sure that more will be added as time goes along...

<span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">It has become one of the more famous sayings in the world of professional wrestling and tonight was the last time that it was uttered in a Supreme Wrestling Federation program. My name is </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Duane Fry</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> and this is my story....</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">

When the final SWF Supreme Wrestling of the year 2012 finished, I left the broadcast booth shaking hands with </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Peter Michaels</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> and </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Jerry Eisen</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">. We exchanged pleasantries and then I headed up the ramp and to the backstage area so that I could head to my car. The wrestlers were all discussing this and that in the background. The words were like a buzzing of insects as far as I was concerned as I was lost within my own mind.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-family:'CENTURY GOTHIC';"><span style="color:#FF0000;">"Duane? Duane? DUANE!!!!"</span></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">I finally heard my name called and I turned as I was near the exit. My eyes looked across the way to see the man that called my name. It was </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Eric Eisen</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">. I knew he was not happy about the fact that I was leaving for the 'enemy.' Yeah, Eric sees United States Pro Wrestling as 'the enemy.' They 'stole' Enygma and now they are 'stealing' me. But I am happy to go to a place where every other word doesn't have to be censored. I looked toward Eric Eisen and just nodded.</span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Duane Fry:</strong> <span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-family:'CENTURY GOTHIC';">"Yeah, Eric? It's time for me to go."</span></span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Eric Eisen:</strong> <span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-family:'CENTURY GOTHIC';">"So you're really going to go, huh? You're going to leave the Eisen Empire to go to the kiddy pool?"</span></span></p><p> </p><p>

<strong>Duane Fry:</strong> <span style="color:#FF0000;"><span style="font-family:'CENTURY GOTHIC';">"That's right, kid. Have a good one."</span></span></p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">Yeah, I probably shouldn't have called him a kid but, hey, I'm leaving the promotion tonight. What do I care what Eric Eisen thinks about me? I turned and moved along out to the employee parking lot. The beep beep sound of my car being unlocked was the last sound I heard. Suddenly, I was seeing stars and leaning against my car. A few thoughts raced through my mind, nothing important and then nothing but darkness.</span></p>

The overhead light seemed to be shining directly down in my face and brought spots to my eyes as my eyes began to clear up. A hospital room. I was definitely in a hospital room. Not only was there the smell that accompanies a hospital but also the beeps of the machines that are attached to my arm. As my eyes cleared, I saw two people sitting in the room. Those people are </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Sam Strong</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> and </span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Alicia Strong</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">. I know it's been awhile since I wrote in this diary but I've been focusing on school, finding a job and I got a new dog on Saturday. So that definitely keeps me busy. Commissioner Doom stands inside the ring, waiting for the booing to die down some, telling the 'Louisiana maggots' in the audience to be quiet if they want to hear what he has to say. He pauses again and just seems to listen to the boos that echo throughout the Auditorium. Baine walks right down to the ring and steps inside, staring down the USPW Commissioner, who doesn't back down from the Demon. Baine sneers at Doom for a moment and Doom says that Baine did last week was deplorable! It was an act of war against the USPW World Champion! And...he would like to congratulate Tyson Baine on winning this first battle! The crowd boos in the background as Doom announces that Baine's efforts will give him a USPW World Heavyweight Title match at Stars, Stripes And Slams, the very first pay-per-view of the year. Caulfield enters the ring with Doom yelling at him to leave, that he has no right to interrupt this meeting between Captain and Soldier. Caulfield says that he does agree with Doom on one thing, it was an act of war and it's time to pick a side. With that, Caulfield strikes Baine with the microphone! He drops the microphone and begins throwing punches, knocking Baine backward. Caulfield backs up and then strikes Baine with a Hardcore Clothesline, sending both men over the top rope and to the floor! Caulfield is first to his feet, cheered on by this crowd! Doom yells that Caulfield will suffer for this and that tonight that suffering will take place at the hands of Tyson Baine! Both men are more traditional brawlers and that is exactly what the fans got out of this match is a pure brawl between the two men that goes both inside the ring and outside the ring. Outside the ring, Rushmore has the advantage of having Shane Sneer and Sneer's bodyguard Atlas out there. As Rushmore distracts the referee, Atlas catches Enygma with a kick to the ribs before tossing Enygma back into the ring. Rushmore moves in on Enygma, setting him up for the Atomic Boot. Rushmore rushes in but Enygma manages to duck the boot and strike back with an Enygmagiri Kick! Both men go down to the mat but the crowd works hard to get Enygma back into things. Enygma reaches his feet first and strikes Rushmore with an elbow drop to the knee before grabbing the ankle -- Enygma Variation! A fan throws up a sign reading: 'Enygma Variation N°1 = Win!' The crowd boos but Bomb throws out the headband before the referee can see what happened. Cherry Bomb tucks Raven between her legs, looking for the Cherry Bomb finisher but Robinson pulls her over in a back body drop! Robinson gets the crowd behind her. Robinson takes control, whipping Bomb into a corner, striking her with a triple kick combo! Robinson pulls Bomb out of the corner and hooks her in a reverse DDT, known as the Night Faller! The attendant stops and Melody stands up, shoving Bryden backward. Melody tells her that she can do her one better, she is the USPW Women's Champion. Bryden challenges her to a match next week but before Melody can answer, <strong>Commissioner Doom</strong> is on the scene. Devine tries a straight-ahead approach against the Jurassic Power but he only seems to make T-Rex angrier and angrier with each punch he throws. T-Rex finally grabs Devine by the hair and tosses him in a corner. He lifts a foot and begins choking Devine in the corner with his boot, breaking before a five count can be administered. As Seduction looks on in worry, T-Rex grabs Devine and hits a backbreaker, a second backbreaker and a third backbreaker, throwing Devine to the mat after the third one. He lifts Devine to his feet and moves behind him -- Jurassic Crush! Doom says that this is a man he has faced before and that man is none other than Bruce The Giant! Doom smirks and tells Justice 'good luck.' Justice tells the 'Commissioner Dude' that if it's a giant dude he has to take down? Valentine catches Java with a blindside high knee in the ring and then lifts him up for his patented Heart Breaker. Petr Novak intervenes and catches both men with a standing body splash. The Force shoves back and this results in a brawl between the two. The Force strikes with two forearm smashes in a row, knocking Jackson backward and into Shane Sneer. Both men go down as The Force beats his chest over top of them. Datsun tells Baine that he has made his choice on which side he is on. That choice is on the side of Nicky Champion. So if he survives Chris Caulfield tonight then he has Freddie Datsun next week right here on American Wrestling. As soon as Datsun stops talking, Baine wraps his hands around the throat of the American Everyman. He lifts him up and tosses him so that Datsun lands and goes sliding along the hallway. The former USPW World Champion Muscles sends Justice back into the ring and maintains control for several long minutes and several near pinfalls. Muscles goes for the Bulldozer Powerbomb but Justice manages to land on his feet. He ducks a clothesline and a double clothesline sends both men to the mat. The referee begins a ten count on both men and both manage to make it to their feet before the ten count is rendered. Justice takes control. He drops Muscles with a side suplex and then bounces off the ropes -- SSSSTTTTAAAALLLLLLLLSSSS -- DUDE KNEE DROP! Justice makes the cover but there is no referee to count. The referee is with Shane Sneer, who is on the apron. Justice moves to his feet and gets caught with a big boot from Atlas! Caulfield begins throwing forearm shots, staggering Baine backward like he did earlier! Caulfield charges Baine but Baine drops his head and sends Caulfield flying over the top rope to the floor below. Baine smiles as he stands in the ring, looking down at Caulfield below. Baine exits the ring slowly and looks down at Caulfield as Caulfield begins pulling himself to his feet. Baine raises his arm and strikes Caulfield with the Devil's Hammer, that is a big clubbing blow to the back, sending Caulfield right back down to the floor. Baine picks up Caulfield and smashes him against the ring post back-first. Caulfield grimaces in pain but manages to bite Baine to get him back. Caulfield quickly re-enters the ring and Baine follows him. Caulfield bounces off the ropes -- Animalistic Spear by Baine! Caulfield is crushed down in the center of the ring. Baine grabs Caulfield again and this time he squeezes him tight in a bear hug! The crowd boos, trying to get the Hardcore American back into the matchup but Baine appears to be squeezing the life out of him. Caulfield refuses to submit to the bear hug but appears to be losing consciousness. The crowd begins clapping and stomping their feet. They are trying to get Caulfield to wake up and they do! Caulfield suddenly seems to have a burst of energy, clapping the ears of Baine! He does it again! Again! Baine has to release the hold and Caulfield strikes with a discus clothesline! He finally brings Baine to the mat with a vertical body press! He throws punch after punch to the mask of Tyson Baine! Caulfield stands up and screams, showing his second wind of energy. The Hardcore American picks up Baine and moves into a corner. He puts Baine up on the top turnbuckle and climbs up after him. He hooks Baine in a suplex position -- SUPERPLEX! Baine steps backward and then turns his eyes toward Champion. Champion is extremely focused right now as he fires another arrow that lands at the feet of Tyson Baine. Baine exits the ring as Champion moves through the crowd, closer and closer to the ring. He jumps the guardrail and slides inside the ring. When a person moves into a new company, one of the best things they can do is socialize with the other wrestlers and buy drinks down in the hotel bar. Knowing this, I cleared out my locker in the Louisiana Auditorium and headed to the hotel via my rental car. I pulled into the parking deck and set up my sign so that my car doesn't get towed. I was about to get out of the car when my cell phone rang. At the end of the day, Tommy runs things on a tight ship in Total Championship Wrestling. Of course, Strong knows this. He knows this because he has had a personal stake in TCW a long time ago. Cornell was going to be in the south east, Charlotte, North Carolina to be exact. He was doing some promotional work there since TCW is now considered to be a national brand. He was coming into our sandbox, so to speak. This seemed as perfect a time as any to have a meeting between our two respective sides.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">

Strong rented a conference room inside a hotel for this meeting. It seemed innocuous enough. We could drive up from Louisiana and not even need to stay in the hotel. This was being kept from the public media for now since there technically wasn't anything to tell them until the meeting was completed. We drove up there together, making small talk inside the car. Nothing said that is really worth mentioning until we arrived at the hotel. We could see the 'TCW-1' limousine already there. Strong wore a hoodie to cover his face and I wore more casual clothes, hoping that no one recognizes us. Cornell was already in the conference room when we arrived. Handshakes were extended all around.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">

I sat back and I listened to the two of them exchange compliments to one another. It is always very interesting to see two of the most known wrestlers in the country standing in the same room. Two men who run two of the top wrestling promotions in the business.</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">

</span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Sam Strong:</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> "Alright, brother, let's get down to business. We both know why we are here. Dick has been running things at the top for too long, brother. It's time that we took a run at shutting him down. This is the perfect time for that."</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">

</span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"><strong>Tommy Cornell:</strong></span><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> "I agree, mate. But this is the first time that something this huge has ever happened in the business. This is not like that Confederation of Territories. This is two of the largest promotions in the business. Two promotions that many people would say are complete opposites. But we both have the same goal in mind. We both want to move toward the top."</span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;"> </span></p><p><span style="font-family:TAHOMA;">

I pulled out a contract that Sam and I had worked on during the week. The contract speaks of what the working agreement includes, including trading wrestlers. A working agreement between two of the top wrestling companies in the world. And I am here to witness it first-hand.</span></p>
