Injury - A worker injures another, taking him out of action for a bit, until the injured worker returns looking for revenge.</p><p> </p><p>

Love Interest - A worker flirts/disrespects or steals the love interest of another worker, leading to a heated feud.</p><p> </p><p>

Outside Threat - A debuting worker or faction debuts with the intention of taking over the company, which seems likely, as they dominate lower-upper midcarders. The growing threat finally gets the attention of the top talent, who step in before things get out of control.</p>

One of my favorite sparks for feuds is geographic rivalries. Like locking a British guy against a Scotsman or Irishman. New York vs Boston. New York/New Jersey. Texas/Oklahoma. It can be harder to do in the C-Verse these days since not everybody is listed with a region of origin in their profiles. But when I can do it I really enjoy it.

I hear ya man, but im aiming more for help with specific angles for starting a feud. I dont want every feud starting with a beatdown backstage cause of a arguement launched from a bad look or something. I'm going to go through some storyline packs in TEW2010 see if i can see how they start, maybe itll help me even more . Once i have the story started i'm off and running.

I think I'm going to compile a modpack just for ways to start feuds... im not sure if other people have the same issue or not. Maybe reading through dynasties will help as well.

A few suggestions from feuds I've created so far:

  • Breaking up a tag team - one competitor wins singles gold (usually the 'secondary' belt), issues an open challenge, and the other team member responds. Things go downhill from there.
  • The 'David and Goliath' feud. A monster heel goes on a rampage, squashing opponents left right and centre, until one gets a lucky win via flash pinfall. The heel loses it and starts beating down the poor guy at every opportunity, leading to a grudge match at PPV.
  • The 'Legend killer' - there are angles in the game that specifically mention this one, and it's always a good way of getting an up-and-coming young heel in a good feud with an experienced ring general face. The youngster wants to be noticed, and there's no better way of getting attention than by beating a company legend.
  • The 'darkness within' feud. Always a favourite of mine, a sinister heel decides to try and recruit a face to his cause by pushing them to breaking point where they snap and unleash what he calls their 'inner darkness'. Cue plenty of torment for the poor face.
  • The 'win streak' - a worker gets on a hot streak (can work either face or heel), and another worker tries to break that streak in order to either get themselves some attention (if they're a heel) or to put the smug bastard in his place (the face option).

There's a few to get you started. :)

Other than the one's already listed, here are a few more I like to use...

Injury - A worker injures another, taking him out of action for a bit, until the injured worker returns looking for revenge.

Outside Threat - A debuting worker or faction debuts with the intention of taking over the company, which seems likely, as they dominate lower-upper midcarders. The growing threat finally gets the attention of the top talent, who step in before things get out of control.

Just plain differences of opinion always work. Why do you have to start something physically. Veterans Enforcer Roberts and Squeaky McClean think that the youngins these days don't understand what it means to be a true wrestler. And where does such a young team as The All-Americans get off holding on to the SWF Tag Team titles. Back in the good ole days only a truly deserving team would have deserved those titles and that's why they plan on taking them.

In 2010 McClean and Gilmore as the Moral Majority decided that SWF need a make over, too many rebel this and anti-hero that rolling around. What happened to do your home work and take your vitamins. And Teen idols why are guys like the Bumfholes idols they don't bring any kind of morals to the table. And wham feud with the Bumfholes.

You can also go the opposite of the "darkness within" in a team like this. Gilmore and McClean invite Valiant to join them in their noble cause he real is quite obviously a good and moral person. But when he turns them down, instead of realizing what they're doing is wrong they blame him for not having purity of purpose and it becomes an "if you're not with is your agasint us" moment.

And although the audeince knows the villains are villains the villians themselves don't have to. Take the four way feud with Remo, Frehley, Faith and Vengeance at the start. Frehley and Remo are very similar its a matter of degrees between them, and Remo can be shown to be the heel by being that aggressive all the time in everything, where as Frehley can be laid back while he isn't in the ring. But then we come to Vengeance why is he in this feud in the first place. The audience knows its cause he's evil but to him he's trying to save the SWF. He see a cancer growing with in it and the only way to save SWF is to tear it down and rebuild it. The first thing he needs to do is control the symbol of SWF, the World Heavyweight title. And since he's just a pure spirit of vengeance then he'll throw the baby out with the bath water and if he has to destroy one or two of the pure things in SWF to save the rest he'll do so, including Christian Faith.

SO I guess what I'm saying is the best way for me to start a feud is think like the villain, and not as the audience looking at a villain because that's not what he thinks he is.

Thats some more good help thanks Apup! I have a few storyline packs from tew2010 i went through and took the beginning angles(if they were a true feud starting angle) and i have a nice amount of these... maybe 20-30 so this should really help because once I have a few stories running, i can branch stories OUT of these so i wont be doing full story resets too often...rather taking existing workers and storyline relationships and using them to my advantage.
