Bo is back on the rise after a "blip" in 2014, so you should be seeing more of him in coming weeks (particularly the next couple) and months. I'm happy with 60 minutes as it is, and I'm planning them out in blocks of tapings (4 shows per time), so everybody is getting used. I'm sure I'll get more into the hang of using people better as we go on, especially when people are making it clear who they want to see more of. :)

The show begins with a recap of last week's show. We see the ending when Solomon Crowe made Evan Bourne tap out…

<hr>

After an introduction from the commentators
Bo Dallas
makes his way to the ring with
Troy McClain
. He begins to run his mouth about WWE Champion Dolph Ziggler. He says that Ziggler is jealous of what Bo has achieved. He’s jealous that Bo is much younger, much smarter and much more popular. Bo says he is an icon to the people of the NXT Universe. He tells Ziggler that he needs serious help, but not the kind that Troy gives out. Bo says it’s the kind that a beating at the hands of Bo would bring him. He says that battling Bo is NXT would be like battling CM Punk in Chicago or RVD in the ECW arena. Bo says that Dolph couldn’t handle the atmosphere of a Bo Dallas match.

This brings out
Dolph Ziggler
who laughs off the claims of Dallas, saying that he is delusional. Dallas says that Ziggler is laughing to hide his fear. Dallas says that he could be World Champion at any time. Bo hardly lets Dolph get a word in.

This exchange brings out
Brad Maddox
who makes a non-title match between the two for next week.

<hr>

This is followed by a short recap video looking back at when Seth Rollins defeated Jinder Mahal to become the first NXT Champion. Tonight, Sami Zayn challenges Alexander Rusev for that very Championship.

Match #1:
The Ascension vs. CJ Parker & Mojo Rawley

This match was always going to go one way and it was no surprise when The Ascension did get the win. They quickly took control and CJ Parker was the victim of their Fall of Man finishing move. There was some tension between CJ Parker and Mojo during the match.

Winner:
The Ascension via pinfall in 3:16

In the back,
Charlotte
is stood with
Richie Steamboat
, she is complaining to him about facing Paige later tonight.

At this point
Ric Flair
walks in and tells her that the Flairs aren’t afraid of anything. He says that Charlotte should go out and give it her best shot tonight and know win, lose or draw she gave it her all. At this point Richie Steamboat leaves the room laughing and shaking his head. Ric doesn’t understand why and says that “that punk” is a bad influence and she should be looking to the Womens Championship not being on Richie’s arm. Charlotte asks her father to leave it and he tells her to think about what’s best for her career.

<hr>

Axl Keegan
&
Danny Burch
are in the back with
Renee Young
. Keegan says they get their long deserved Tag Team Championship shot next week. Keegan says they are going up against two posers who don’t know how to fight. Burch says that he’s used to smashing heads together and next week will be no different!

<hr>

There is then a recap of when Big E Langston became the second NXT Champion, beating Seth Rollins in a No DQ match. Sami Zayn will face Alexander Rusev in tonight’s main event, in the hope of becoming the first two time NXT Champion.

<hr>

In the back
Dolph Ziggler
is talking to
Sami Zayn
about his yiyle match later.

Bo Dallas
comes into the locker room and ambushes Ziggler. Bo gets a few shots in before Sami Zayn gets between them and Bo leaves.

Match #2:
Adam Rose vs. Angelo Dawkins

Becoming somewhat a worrying trend for Angelo Dawkins, his “power of positive thinking” manta is not serving him too well. While he did get a bit of offence in during the match, he was never in a position to worry Rose. In fact Rose rode Dawkins’ offence and came back with an impressive Crescendo for the victory within 3 minutes.

Winner:
Adam Rose via pinfall in 2:30

After the match,
Adam Rose
takes a microphone.

It is not long before he is interrupted by
Jason Jordan
. Before he can open his mouth Rose is told to shut up by Jordan who mocks the big man. Rose doesn’t take kindly to this and decks Jordan before leaving up the ramp.

<hr>

In the back,
Renee Young
interviews
Sami Zayn
. Zayn says that he isn’t the biggest, he isn’t the strongest but he shouldn’t be counted out. Zayn says that Alexander Rusev may just be the strongest man in NXT and he proved that when he made Sami Zayn tap out. Zayn says that will not happen again, he says that he’d rather pass out to The Accolade than tap out
again
. That said he remains confident that won’t happen tonight, because he’s gunning for gold!

<hr>

We then see the recap of when Bo Dallas became the NXT Champion. He beat Big E. Langston to become the third man to hold the title.

Match #3:
Charlotte vs. Paige

This match was probably a lot closer than it should have been, given Paige’s experience edge. Charlotte did her all to bend the rules to try and get the win but in the end Paige’s ability shone through. With Richie getting sent to the back during the match, Paige took full control and won the match with the Paige Turner.

Winner:
Paige via pinfall in 5:47

Ahead of the main event we see recaps of the moment when the two men won their NXT Championships. First we see Sami Zayn pinning Bo Dallas before Alexander Rusev is shown making Sami Zayn submit on the last show of 2014. Zayn gets his rematch in tonight’s main event.

<hr>

After the two men enter, the screen is ‘hijacked’ and it is made very clear that
Solomon Crowe
is ‘watching’...

Match #4:
Alexander Rusev vs. Sami Zayn - NXT Championship

A very long and competitive main event that was by far the match of the night. After a bright opening from Sami Zayn, Rusev got into his zone and began to use his incredible strength to limit Zayn. Rusev broke down Zayn and took control in the match. While Rusev routinely came close to victory, Zayn would not give up snd a number of near falls began to frustrate “The Bulgarian Brute”, opening up for a Sami Zayn comeback.

Fighting through the pain barrier, Zayn began to claw his way back into the match, destabilising the big man before hitting a dropkick that sent him to the outside. Zayn hit a Dive to the outside that sent Rusev into the barricade but still didn’t knock him off his feet. Sami continued to gather momentum but couldn’t drop the big man. He did eventually have Rusev is a dazed position and set him up for the Tornado DDT.

As Zayn went to slam the DDT down, Rusev used his power to hold Zayn and rush him into the turnbuckles. Rusev followed this up with a Splash in the corner. As Zayn came out of the corner he was hit with a bodyblock that sent him to the mat. From here Rusev locked in The Accolade and leant back on Zayn, who was close to tapping out. Staying true to his word Zayn refused to submit, but at what cost? After a long struggle the referee called for the bell as Zayn was incapable of communicating to him.

Winner:
Alexander Rusev via referee stoppage in 13:01

Ah yeh great show once again man :D Crowe's segment should have been before the Main Event presumably. But I liked how you sold the Title changes throughout the show, made me think Zayn might actually win it, and that it was another 'Title change' kind of night...

Then in the write up, up until this line: "After a long struggle the referee called for the bell as Zayn was incapable of communicating to him." I STILL thought he could win it... :D Looking forward to Bo vs Dolph next week :)

The show begins with a recap of Alexander Rusev making Sami Zayn pass out last week. It then hypes that tonight Bo Dallas will face WWE Heavyweight Champion Dolph Ziggler.

<hr>

Ric Flair makes his way to the ring to start this episode of NXT. He says he knows that NXT is about the future, but right now he has something he needs to deal with. He talks about Richie Steamboat’s father and the respect he has for him and compares him to Richie himself - he says that Richie shows nothing but disrespect to everybody around him. He calls Richie out.

Richie makes his way to the ring with Charlotte and laughs off Ric’s claims. He says that the reason for Ric’s crusade against him is simple. Richie says Ric is bitter that he is young, good looking and more of a wrestler than Ric ever was. Richie adds that it’s also because his daughter knows he’s more of a man than her father ever was. Flair calls Richie a disrespectful little punk and slaps him in the face. At this point Richie flips and backs Flair into the corner. Richie starts pushing Ric around the ring and this brings out his father Ricky.

Ricky tries to stop Richie but in return gets pushed to the ground. Richie starts to lay boots into his father and Charlotte looks on in shock. Ric tries to get involved but Charlotte holds him back, as Ric turns around Richie low blows him and has the two legends and hall of famers on the ground. This brings out the returning Mason Ryan.

Ryan makes his way to the ring and blocks two shots from Steamboat before lifting him over his head and dropping him with a Gorilla Press Slam. Richie rolls out of the ring and Mason checks on Ricky and Ric.

We then see a recap of the past month and the tension between Dolph Ziggler & Bo Dallas. They will go one on one in tonight’s Main Event.

<hr>

Emma vs. Alexa Bliss

Raquel joining commentary for this match didn’t put Emma off in her quest to become NOC for the Womens Championship. She made fairly easy work of Alexa Bliss, making her submit before sending a message to Raquel.

Winner:
Emma

Richie Steamboat is then seen in the backstage area. He cut a promo telling Mason Ryan that he shouldn’t have got involved with him. Richie says that the “big dummy” shouldn’t have got involved in his business and for that he will pay. Steamboat says that Mason has made a powerful enemy.

<hr>

In the back, a brawl has broken out between Scott Dawson and Evan Bourne. It appears as though Dawson is the aggressor and has the upper hand until they are pulled apart.

Adam Rose vs. Jason Jordan

Adam Rose takes a microphone in the ring, he is about to speak when Jason Jordan comes out and tells him to shut up and get ready to fight!

Adam Rose dominates a one sided match against Jason Jordan, beating him with the Crescendo after destroying him in the ring.

Winner:
Adam Rose

In the back, Maddox is on the phone. He is talking about an exciting announcement he has planned. As he does this Vickie Guerrero walks in and gives him a glare.

Maddox puts down the phone as Vickie says she’s not happy with Raquel’s treatment. Brad tries to squirm his way out of trouble but Vickie isn’t impressed by his excuses. She tells him to fix it.

<hr>

Zayn is then interviewed about his loss to Alexander Rusev last week. He is clearly disappointed but says that he just has to dust himself off and start again. Maybe there is something bigger in his future…

<hr>

In the locker room, Mason Ryan checks on Ric Flair & Ricky Steamboat in the back. They says they are okay and thank him for stopping Richie earlier. Mason says even though he’s Ricky’s son, he’ll have to teach him a lesson…

<hr>

Amore & Cassady cut a promo in the back about Keegan and Burch. They say that two knuckleheads can’t stop them and they have no chance of winning the Tag Team Championships.

Amore & Cass © vs. Keegan & Burch - NXT Tag Team Championships

Amore & Cass beat Keegan & Burch in a hard fought match, which saw Amore struggle until he tagged in Cassady. Cassady cleared house and eventually got the victory, pinning Keegan in the process.

Winners:
Amore & Cass

Dolph Ziggler then talks about his interactions with Bo this month. He says that Bo has serious delusions of grandeur and it seems as though he’s been assigned to bring Bo back down to earth.

<hr>

Bo Dallas makes his way to the ring and begins talking to the audience. He encourages them to get behind him tonight against the intruder. He tells them all that he is the greatest product of NXT and for that reason he will send Dolph packing and make sure he never comes back… and he’ll do it, for the NXT Universe.

Bo Dallas vs. Dolph Ziggler

This was easily the match of the night so far, in which both men came out looking very good. Bo’s use of underhanded tactics allowed him to take some control of the match, but ultimately Dolph’s experience played a huge part. After a good spell from Bo, Dolph began a comeback, getting the crowd behind him before hitting the Fameasser to Dallas. He then stood behind the formed NXT Champion and hit him with a Zig Zag for the victory. Ziggler celebrated with the fans as NXT went off air.

Winner:
Dolph Ziggler

Very good show Legend, and I'm very glad this is still going strong :) Shame no Crowe this time around, but enough to get me excited about. Dallas will have to talk his way out of the loss to Ziggler next week or the week after, and that should be fun. I wonder what excuse he'll have... As for Zayn, he was in ape's Royal Rumble wasn't he? Does that mean he's on the main roster now?!

I was a bit slow getting this one up, so this is the NXT from before the Royal Rumble. So we'll see if Zayn appears on future NXT or not after his first appearance on the main show :)
