</div></div><div style="text-align:center;"><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/ThunderVerse/Sponsors/Rhino1_zps9e5b1ff2.png</span></div><p></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Wrestling fans do not tend to surf wrestling promotion websites looking for business news, so its understandable if a particular news story got overlooked today on the AWF home page. Even as a journalist focused on professional wrestling, most such stories don't warrant much attention. However, this particular story does, and it has created something of a buzz within the industry. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The Awesome Wrestling Federation. Blue Rhino Energy Drink. There are certain partnerships, certain marriages, that are simply too logical not to happen. This might be one of them. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Professional wrestling is a business of deception. Despite virtually every viewer understanding that what they are seeing isn't quite real, its not presented as such. Fans buy in and react as if it is real, a hyper-intense world of soap opera violence and grandiose characters. It is a unique business in many ways. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Energy drinks have been accused of being similarly false. Most of them promise increased energy levels for extended periods with “no side effects” due to exotic ingredients. The reality is that most are simply sugar-heavy soft drinks variants that give any energy boost just based on the sugar. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

It should surprise no one that these two worlds have collided and are now working in concert. It is fitting in many ways. It has been rumored for months and “unofficially” announced in December. Now it is officially official. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Irony aside, this is a sponsorship marriage that speaks volumes about the current “footprint” and visibility of the Awesome Wrestling Federation. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Although the Blue Rhino brand is now recognized globally, few know the full history of the company that has become the number one energy drink manufacturer in the world. It was first brewed in the mid 1980s by a German chemist named Oliver Mustermann, who was attempting to create a synthesized version of rhinoceros horn, which he managed to do. That synthetic rhino horn became the key ingredient in the vibrant blue drink he dubbed Blue Rhino. Within a few years, it would dominate Europe's small energy drink market and based on Mustermann's personal interests as a sports fan, had already forayed into sports sponsorship. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

It is not clear how the drink first reached the land of the Rising Sun, but by the mid-90s, it was being imported in massive volumes and became an unlikely pop culture phenomenon in Japan. Before the turn of the millennium, Blue Rhino began its assault on the American market and it quickly found its footing. The company did not enter quietly, but barged in with guns blazing as it launched diverse, innovate, and sometimes offensive advertising campaign. The most memorable of those ads was the series of ads based on the “Blue Rhino Gives You Horn” tagline, which played on the idea that the synthesized rhino horn made the drink function as a male aphrodisiac. That particular catch phrase caught on and became part of American pop culture, and one can still buy T shirts with the slogan, despite it no longer officially being used by Blue Rhino. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

By 2005, Blue Rhino was the top selling energy drink in the United States. It has never given up that title. Its a heavily saturated market but Blue Rhino enjoys massive brand recognition. Whereas most energy drink makers have gone for diverse flavors and variations, Blue Rhino has focused on only two variations – original and sugar free. A significant factor behind the brand recognition is the amount of sports sponsorship the company does. The company began with football (aka soccer) and low level motor sports, but has now evolved into a major player in motor sports sponsorship, soccer, American university sports, basketball, hockey, and more. The company has also moved into pop culture and entertainment, sponsoring events such as major summer music festivals. In sponsoring the AWF, they are straddling the lines between entertainment and sport. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Blue Rhino Energy Drink has expanded well beyond the bounds that anyone believed an energy drink manufacturer could or should. The same could be said of the AWF, a “vanity project ripoff”. Yet Awesome is entering its ninth year in business and challenging for the top spot in the industry. The two companies have much more in common than is immediately apparent. What wrestling fans should take away from this news, at the very least, is that it bodes very well for the future of the AWF in every possible way.</div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Standard Tag Duel: Enemies of the State versus Wilson Hancock & Ricky Fyre

DQ maybe? The babyfaces are a little higher up the card at the moment...

Starlets Dual Drama: Megan & Serenity versus Harmony & Jazz

Could go either way really...

Definitely the side with the bigger names.

Tough call. Not a massive difference in pop and I think you'll want the PWSUX guys to look strong.

Starlets Dual Drama: Megan & Serenity versus Harmony & Jazz

I like Megan. As good a reason as any :p.

Awesome Games of Fate: ??? versus Chris Candell

Triple ? with the win.

Six Man Monster Tag Match: Timothy Hawk, Vincent I. Parker & Leroy Winters versus Theo Barkley, Derrick Rollins & Joe Havana

This should be a gimme with Hawk on the babyface side.

Epic Rivalry New Chapter: Jean-Claude Giroux versus Drake Richards

Drake might get the win but PWSUX interference seems most likely.

<p>Well, that's a better prediction response than I had even hoped for. Awesome. Appreciate that some are still predicting despite not being all that familiar with the ThunderVerse. Thanks all. </p><p> </p><p> I know its tough predicting when nothing has been clearly established yet. and it doesn't help when you get a ???. That is kinda tough as the Games of Fate segments are meant to have an element of surprise. But its a regular segment and I really don't like always having a ??? on the prediction sheet.</p><p> </p><p> Show is close to ready to go, so I'm thinking that it should be up tomorrow morning. have some more Chatterbox Chatters that need to be posted yet as well. The show is a fair bit longer than I had intended but I'm hoping that will change as things get established. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="terrybgoode" data-cite="terrybgoode" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37747" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>Aw man, this looks epic, too. There is a good reason that it has become an officially endorsed mod. It offers fantastic diversity and a ton of fun characters. Its difficult not to get attached to a lot of them.</p>

It shows Timothy Hawk, Drake Richards, Silva Dolla, Towerblock, Jean-Claude Giroux, Core, Mountain Albert and more. The video fades into a wide shot of the ultra-modern Cali Airlines Center, which is filled to capacity with a raucous Los Angeles crowd. A barrage of pyrotechnics go off around the arena, replete with lights and lasers. The overall effect is that of an arena rock show. The center of the sound and fury is the AWF ring in stern blue and black. Director of Amazing Announcement</strong></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div></div><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>The show starts with a “big” announcement from the Awesome Wrestling Federation Director of Amazing, Casey Skym. The “official DoA podium” rises up from beneath the stage, just slightly off center from the entrance. The opening strains of his very familiar entrance theme - “Lunatic Fringe” by Red Rider – begins to play and the fans erupt. The man known as Zombie is a legend, who became a star in Japan in the mid-90s due to his hardcore battles. He became an unlikely and unexpected star in the US, winning the AWF World Heavyweight title twice in the first couple years of the company. When Skym emerges, he gets a strong reaction. From the neck up, he looks homeless – wild and unkept hair, scraggly facial hair, and a face full of scars. That aspect of his appearance contrasts heavily with the shiny black pants, gray silk shirt, and dark gray jacket he wears. The clothes are tailored to fit his usual frame – tall yet stock, with a very thick chest and wide shoulders. The stylish casual-wear make him seem like a a young actor heading out to a club but he is very far from that. </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>

Behind the podium, Skym waits for the crowd to quiet but they carry on with their welcome. There is a patina of anticipation to the reaction, with the LA representatives of the Awesome Nation expecting to hear the DoA address the invaders from SUX and their recent actions. They expect him to take action. When they finally do quiet, Skym thanks the LA fans and then points to the Blue Rhino logo on the front of his podium. He points to the myriad of the same logo around the ringside area, including all over the crowd barriers. The AWF has landed a massive new sponsor and its worth celebrating. Three cheers for Blue Rhino Energy Drink! </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>

Moving onto a more serious topic, Skym brings up the presence of “uninvited folks from the Pennsylvania region”. The camera finds the group, sitting along the ramp and looking bored. The undesirables will be dealt with... in time. This brings a deafening silence. The crowd is not pleased. One lone voice screams out to “do it now”, but Skym lets the silence settle for a moment before he moves on. </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>

Tonight's announcement is about something bigger. Something more defining. The silver-tongued Skym sells it like he's about to announce something that will forever change the wrestling business. Something big is returning... the AWF World Tag Team Championships! The actual announcement draws a moderate reaction but nothing compared to the initial reception that Zombie received. The belts have been vacant since they were retired at the end of 2012, with the Enemies of the State being the final champions. An 8-team tournament will be held to crown the new champions. More details coming soon, the DoA promises. The crowd approves of the idea of a tournament, although there is a smattering of boos as well.</em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div></div><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>The Enemies of the State versus Wilson Hancock & Ricky Fyre</strong></div></div></div><p></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The opening match of the show has a bit more edge than it typically might, especially considering Hancock and Fyre are not a regular tag team paring. Enemies of the State come out first, and despite always generating good crowd heat in the AWF, they are getting a particularly negative reaction after having joined the invasion of SUX wrestlers just a few weeks before. Stone and Binx hit the ring, bathe in the vocal ire of the fans, and then retreat to ringside to confer with their SUX brethren who are seated along the ramp. Fyre comes out first, followed by the swaggering Hancock, who gets quite the strong reaction, as does the lovely Adrienne who escorts him. The match starts out with Ricky Fyre and Omri Stone, with the teamwork of the Enemies quickly giving them the advantage. They use every trick in the book – quick tags, sly double-teams, blind tags. They cheat aplenty. The Enemies of the State control the opening five minutes with this teamwork and mutual understanding but the match never really gets going. Before its even five minutes old and before Hancock ever tags in, Adrienne at ringside is being hassled by Ieshia, with Hancock jumping off the apron to intervene. The adult film star jaws with the SUX group at their seats along the ramp, with it finally turning physical. They try to come over top of the barrier, and Fyre ends up leaving the ring to help his friend. As he gets involved, someone throws a punch that clearly connects with the jaw of “The Orange Inferno” and Fyre drops. The Enemies of the State, despite having proclaimed their allegiance to the invaders, stay in the ring and watch along with referee James Jewell. After the punch is thrown, Jewell has seen enough and he calls for the bell. Stone and Binx start to celebrate, until it is announced that the match has been awarded to the team of Hancock and Fyre. The Enemies argue with the ref as AWF security officials break up the scrum that still hasn't spilled over the barrier yet. The in-ring argument ends with Binx hitting his trademark Six Shooter Punch Combo to the ref, who lays motionless afterward. Both Binx and Stone pretend to urinate on the AWF official, then finally leave the ring. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Kitty asks about the match that Giroux has later tonight, against his eternal rival Drake Richards. The Parisian Playboy assures her that he will dismantle “old man Drake” and derail his hopes of regaining the AWF World championship, but Giroux is more focused on a member of the AWF roster who needs to learn a bit about respect... Vincent I. Parker. Reardon mentions that Parker had some unkind words at the post-event press conference on Sunday and Giroux bristles. He launches into a breathless tirade about lack of respect, lack of class, and overall lack of talent, aimed at Parker but more than merely “Beast Mode”. He also rants about lack of security and interity in the AWF, with undesirables allowed to run amock. The tirade has some French words mixed in, which makes it somewhere between challenging to understand and simply funny, yet the point is clear and obvious. The interview doesn't actually end – the irrate Giroux just simply walks away, still ranting. Kitty looks confused for a moment, waiting for her interview subject to return to the set. </div></div><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>“Love Punk” Chris Candell comes out to a decent pop. He doesn't move past the top of the stage, playing to the fans for a moment before he moves to the right side of the stage. The commentary booth has retracted and the Awesome Games set is on that side of the stage. A grinning Johnny Hollywood already awaits among the Games of Fate, flanked by Amy and Alexis once again. After a spirited introduction by Hollywood, Candell violently spins the wheel and it lands on... Double or Nothing. What will be on the line in the match is Love Punk's entire paycheck for the month. If he wins, he doubles his money. If he loses, he works the month unpaid. How does he feel? Candell states he isn't afraid and can handle whatever the outcome is. He starts to cut a promo but Johnny Hollywood blatantly tells him that its enough of that and takes the microphone back. A look of worry briefly flashes across Candell's face.</em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>

The pair, still flanked by the two Starlets, move on to the next stage of the game... the stipulation. The game set up this time is a comically oversized bean board. Along the bottom are a long line of possible match stipulations, from classics like a lumberjack match to the esoteric “big fist” match. Amy is handed the large red disc, which she shows off to the fans. It has an image of Candell on it, looking slightly discombobulated. With a flourish, she hands it to the wrestler, and Alexis leads him to the side of the board. She shows him up the steps to the platform, the elevation required due to how large the board is. Candell climbs up to the platform, showing his disc to the crowd which gets a reaction. He toys with the fans a bit, playing that he will drop the disc at one spot, then another. He finally does let it go. The camera zooms in, following as it drops and bounces around the pegs, taking a painful long time to make its way down to the bottom. It finally lands in a slot. That slot reads “5 Minute Challenge”.</em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>

There is a murmur from the crowd. Chris Candell will have to defeat his yet-unnamed opponent in 5 minutes. Victory will result him getting his salary for January doubled. Candell waits down in the ring as his opponent is announced... Garrett South. The young man from Harlan County, Kentucky, gets a solid negative reaction. He is indifferent to the fans, instead focused on his opponent. The match gets underway, with the on-screen clock ticking down from five minutes. Candell goes on the offensive immediately, but South is ready and effectively plays defense before counterattacking his smaller opponent. They go back and forth, with neither side holding the advantage for long. Realizing he is running short on time, “The Love Punk” begins to get desperate. South sidesteps a charge and throws Candell over the top rope. He follows out to the floor and the battle continues. Candell climbs back into the ring, but South refuses to follow. Referee Shane Tedeschi calls out that there is 30 seconds left, and Candell jumps down to ringside, but South slips out of reach of his smaller opponent. Slide back into the ring, there is pure desperation on Candell's face. He motions South into the ring, but he gets a cold glare in response. Candell makes to dive out of the ring, but he stops, realizing he has no time to make it matter. The buzzer goes and the crowd boos at South, who still stands outside the ring, looking satisfied. Having lost his paycheck for the entire month, Candell looks distraught. Inconsolable. He looks to the ref, who gives him an apologetic shrug. The frustration pours forth from Candell and he pounds the turnbuckle. While he isn't looking, South sneaks back into the ring. Candell is slammed from behind, hit with several heavy shots. South hits a variation of his Southern Justice finisher, a hangman flapjack into a short-arm lariat that absolutely floors Candell, flipping the 235 pound wrestler right onto his head. South pins him and motions at the ref. With another shrug, the ref counts out the pin, despite the match already being over. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Then, with a smirk, Cross makes a motion and both he and the rest of the crew turn their backs on Hawk. As if signifying that he isn't worth their time... tonight. Finally looking away, “The Heartbeat of Awesome” raises the microphone and speaks. The verbal playfulness that Hawk is known for is notably absent. He says that he's had a helluva run in the Awesome Wrestling Federation. He's faced down some great wrestlers and tagged with some great ones. One of his greatest rivals has been with Core. The other night, they had another great battle... until this happened...</em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>

Hawk points at the TrillTron screen above the stage. A highlight clip of the match between Hawk and Core at Where Champions Clash is shown, the two warriors battering each other, until the moment where the SUX invaders hit the ring. The ref calls for the bell and bails out of the ring. The AWF Security isn't in the right place, so the group from Pro Wrestling Superstars Uncensored and Xtreme has a chance to run at Hawk and Core. Omar G begins exchanging punches with their already-tired Hawk. Arson and Klaxon go after the bigger Core. Cross remains on the outside, directly the attack with Ieshia. The Enemies of the State aren't out for this attack, just the invaders. Core holds his own against the two attackers, until Klaxon clips his knee, then the two heavyweights begin to batter the monster. Across the ring, Hawk gains the upper hand against Omar and tosses him from the ring. Without hesitation, Hawks bounds across the ring to help his opponent. They each manage to throw one of the invades out, clearing the ring. But that just gives the SUX invaders a chance to regroup. The four each take a side of the ring, climbing onto the apron. Hawk has his eyes locked on Cross, gesturing for him to enter. Still wearing a slight smirk, Cross starts to move through the ropes. Hawk and Core are back to back in the ring, ready for the next wave. It doesn't happen, as AWF Security finally swarm the ringside area, preventing the invaders from causing further havoc. Despite all the security, they would be at it again a short bit later that night, injecting themselves into the World Heavyweight championship match and altering the course of the AWF.</em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>

The opponent trio come out first, all three warily eying the two big fan favorites who are already in the blue and black AWF ring. The Vincent I. Parker comes out and things get underway. The combination of Hawk, Core, and Parker control the early going quite easily. Five minutes into the match, the crowd boos as Jean-Claude Giroux appears through the entryway and stands on the stage, watching the match. That proves enough of a distraction for Barkley to overpower Parker and the heels take over. They use some decent teamwork and cheap tricks to keep the 285-pounder known as “Beast Mode” in trouble. Watching Parker take damage seems to amuse Giroux, who still watches with a smirk on his face. Parker eventually manages to make the hot tag, with Core coming in all afire, then Hawk. They assert their will upon the overmatched opponents. The match ends when Parker delivers his trademark Out of the Park uranage on Rollins and then pins him. His partners make sure the count isn't interrupted and they score the win. You don’t just get to proclaim yourself a star. You don’t even just get to reach up to the heavens and pluck down a star and slap it on your own forehead for the world to acknowledge and worship. OH NO. You need to earn it. And I KNOW you’ve put the work in. Nine years of hard work for the Awesome Nation, as you have pointed out. Night after night. The matches, the training, the road, the workouts. Doing everything it takes. Paying those dues. No one is taking that way from you. No one is gonna deny that. You have battled up the path to greatness and you were knocking on that door. Grabbing for that brass ring. Ready to ring the freedom bell of ascension. Pick you damn euphemism. And if Mr. Skym ain’t gonna make it right, if Dax the geek ain’t' gonna make it right, and if Zeke with the billions ain't gonna make it right... then I’ll take care of it myself. Because I’ve spent the past two twenty years giving it a go, letting it flow, and stealing the show. Tonight I’m gonna show an old French playboy that he still can't scale Mount Drake. </div></div><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Jean-Claude Giroux versus Drake Richards</strong></div></div></div><p></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

This match has happened endless times since Drake Richards joined the AWF in early 2006, and it happened a few times in the last three years of the WWWE. This particular combination has generated some of the greatest matches in Awesome history, and could probably fill an entire DVD set. Its a strong a way to start out 2014. The crowd is ready, and they roar and seeth at the first strains of “Final Countdown” by Europe as it hearkens the arrival of Jean-Claude Giroux. The wealthy Parisian Playboy gets an intensely negative reaction, which he revels in. Then its “The Bad Boy” Drake Richards, who gets a monster reaction. At 42-years old, he is one of the most popular wrestlers in the AWF and one of the most popular in the United States. He gets the already-excited crowed even more hyped and they explode when the match kicks off. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

There is no feeling out process between the familiar opponents. They began frantically, throwing big offense at each other. Although no more than an inch separates them in height, Giroux has a significant weight advantage of nearly fifty pounds. He tries to use that to his advantage, but Richards is used to having to overcome bigger opponents. Always willing to take any advantage he he can, the French wrestler also looks to attack the head of his opponent, with the white bandage acting as a target. There is a sense of anticipation to the match, as the crowd waits for some form of interference from the SUX crew, who still have not returned to their seats. The two wrestlers are fully focused on each other. Giroux soon takes control, working to inflict as much damage as possible. But as he has done so many times, Richards battles back. A low blow from Giroux cuts that off, but the man who once dubbed himself “Mount Drake” once again battles back. They end up trading finisher attempts. Giroux attempts to unleash his Playboy Press lifting spinebuster but he can't connect properly. Richards also just manages to block an attempted French Caress cutter. He takes control with an out of nowhere superkick, letting loose a trademark series of fast offense the culminates in him going to the top rope for his Top Rope Rushmore elbow drop, one of the most picturesque finishers in professional wrestling. The gets him the three count and the Los Angeles fans loudly sound their appreciation. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Richards celebrates, climbing to the top rope and making the “title” gesture at his waist. Giroux lingers at ringside and for a moment, it appears he may act on his frustration. But he leaves Richards to his celebration and the fans show verbalize their appreciation for a great match between two fantastic wrestlers. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div></div><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>After coming back from break following a fantastic main event match, the entire ring and ringside area has been transformed. The ring has been outfitted with AWF blue carpeting atop the ring mat, and blue streamers hanging from the ropes. A red carpet has been laid out all down the ramp. The ring is full of people – notably Casey Skym and Dex Deekins, but also several faceless suits. Other are wearing shirts or golf knits with logos that identity them as belonging to the Adrenaline network or Blue Rhino Energy drink. The mass of humanity in the ring has a palpable excitement to it.</em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>

Skym has the microphone, and simply introduces a video that is shown to the live audience on the TrillTron. Its a beautifully produced highlight montage of Silva Dolla's career, set to "We are the Champions" by Queen. It runs about five minutes and shows Silva's entire AWF career, from his debut back in 2005 and culminating in him winning the AWF World Heavyweight championship at Where Champions Clash 2013, just days before. Notably, the video does not show the interference of the SUX crew that resulted in the victory. </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>

After the video, a live feed is shown of the front of the arena. It has been blocked off with security barriers, with a horde of fans waiting. A sleek black limousine pulls up and stops. </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div></div><div style="text-align:right;"><span>http://i89.photobucket.com/albums/k235/Bigpapa42_2006/ThunderVerse/Workers/AWF/Champ%20Small/SilvaDolla_AWFWHTSmall_zps818f8deb.jpg</span><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div></div><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><strong>Silva Dolla</strong></div></div></div><p></p><p></p><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

</div></div><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>Out steps the new AWF World Heavyweight champion. Silva Dolla is not dressed up for the occasion, instead wearing his standard gear – loose athletic pants, an oversized Dolla jersey-style top (available at the merchandise booth for only $44.99!), and his trademark cockeyed ballcap. Any outfit would be overshadowed by the huge gold belt he carries over his shoulder. The gathered fans lose their minds at the new champion, an unlikely reaction that feels forced. </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>

The camera follows Silva as he walks up the front steps of the arena, then follows the red carpet into the arena. Uniformed AWF security officials line the way, to keep any fans away. The camera follows as he saunters, in no hurry to reach the contingent waiting for him in the ring. His entrance music hits. When he appears through the Zeke Gate, the reaction of the fans in attendance is undeniably negative. They roar hated at him. Merely a week before, he had still been one of the most beloved wrestlers in the promotion. Now, the heat he gets as negative of a reaction as any heel in AWF history. </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>

The smirk never leaves Dolla's face and he simply ignores the reaction. He makes his way to ringside, very notably ignoring the SUX crew, who have managed to return to their seats along the rampway, despite their prominent role in him being AWF World champion. He climbs into the ring, with the ropes being held open by a lovely young woman clad in Blue Rhino gear. </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>

After some glad-handing, Skym takes the microphone again. He introduces the new champion as an “AWF Original” who has been there from day one, who has fought his way from the very bottom to the very top. Who has earned nothing but respect from his peers, from the fans (who boo this lustily), and from Awesome management. The microphone is then snatched away by Dax Deekins, who awkwardly notes that the Awesome Wrestling Federation now has a champion they can be proud of. Finally the microphone is handed to Dolla. </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>

The charismatic big man is blasted by a roar of boos from the crowd, which breaks down into a deafening chant of “you sold out”. He waits out the chant, the smirk still on his face. When it finally quiets down, he holds up the AW-labelled microphone... and says nothing. His smirk turns into a sardonic grin as he very emphatically holds the microphone out and drops it. There is a loud thud over the audio system as it hits the blue mat. Patting the gold belt over his shoulder, he then departs the ring. The gathered retinue look confused, with Skym actually seeming angry. There is quiet confusion as Silva Dolla simply slowly walks up the ram and disappears. </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em> </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"><em>

The message from the new AWF World Heavyweight champion to the fans has been clearly stated. </em></div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:Georgia;"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

<p>Fantastic first show, BP. The Awesome Games Of Fate idea is an...awesome...one, and the end segment, while something we've had a sneak preview of before, worked really well as a way of immediately laying out the characters of Casey Skym (although he had a bit of a build earlier in the show), Dax Deekins and Silva Dolla. The Drake Richards "scripted" promo worked well too - it didn't jar with the narrative style of the rest of the show which is always a concern when I think about doing something similar.</p><p> </p><p>

Are you planning on posting your grades? You've inspired me to start up my own private AWF game again (I'm currently about to book No Love Lost), so it'd be interesting to see how my shows compare <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p>

<p>So folks did fairly well on predictions, given that its a first show, but nobody nailed it right on. A couple of the matches were fairly even in terms of possibiliites (the tag opener, the Starlets match) and one pretty obvious one (the six-man tag). As I mentioned, I don't really like using the ??? on teh prediction sheet but the Awesome Games of Fate will likely work best that way, so....</p><p> </p><p> I'm still not absolutely set on the formatting of the show. If its difficult to read or anyone has any suggestions, I am very open. Throw ideas out there. </p><p> </p><p> The show is also a fair bit longer than I intended. Probably double, actually. I would prefer to end up with a fairly streamlined show, and this was fairly text heavy. It was necessary, I think, to set the scene and establish certain things. I would like to move toward less detail going forward, though. </p><p> </p><p> </p><blockquote data-ipsquote="" class="ipsQuote" data-ipsquote-username="Coop" data-cite="Coop" data-ipsquote-contentapp="forums" data-ipsquote-contenttype="forums" data-ipsquote-contentid="37747" data-ipsquote-contentclass="forums_Topic"><div>There is the BigPappa I Remember. You've inspired me to start up my own private AWF game again (I'm currently about to book No Love Lost), so it'd be interesting to see how my shows compare <img alt=":D" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/biggrin.png.929299b4c121f473b0026f3d6e74d189.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> Thanks jhd. </p><p> </p><p> The Awesome Games of Fate are an idea I love and will be a regular part of the show. Its a bit goofy and campy but makes for a comedic aspect to the show, but one that can be used in storylines or create new ones. I have endless ideas for segments, but struggled to come up with a solid name (think this is one of the things I asked you for help on). Ended up going with the most campy and heavy-handed name I had thought of or had suggested. </p><p> </p><p> The full script Drake promo... just kinda... happened...? My intent was to have nothing in full text, but simply overview description like everything else. Easier to write and often easier to read. But as I was writing the promo... it just kinda happened. I'm glad it did, as it helped me flesh out his character more than I had. Going forward, there will definitely be a couple of specific promos/angles that will be given the full script treatment, but not certain yet how I will continue with Drake. Given how easily that one flowed, I expect he will prove fairly easy to write. </p><p> </p><p> Do not intend to post grades, although I'm not hiding them either. I tend to make my diary games to be almost full sandbox games and in this case, I edited a bit of the data (just so the first two weeks of a new game were a bit less onerous). The show grade in this case was a B+, which is basically my standard for a new AWF game. Amost all of my shows grab B or B+. I book the AWF almost the same as I book the SWF in CornellVerse games - heavy on angles that will grade well and making sure the main event and semi main grade strong as well. That means being careful with who I throw into those last two matches. Don't have the game in front of me, but the main event match got an A, the six man tag got a B (I think), and several of the big angles were B+ or A. The Starlets match was bleh (like D or maybe D+) and Hollywood Show segment was merely mediocre ©. Same with the Awesome Games of Fate. Just like with the SWF, I find keeping the show at 90 minutes for the first while helps. Once the popularity of a few upper and midcard guys climbs a bit, an increase to 120 minutes is workable.</p>

<p>Enjoyed the first show BP. Early days obviously, but I liked the very corporate and polished feel you gave proceedings, particularly the final segment with sponsors and execs out in force only for Silva Dolla to pretty much blow the whole thing off. Your treatment of the SUX invaders was interesting to. Some minor somewhat indirect acknowledgement from Skym, but no action despite them getting involved at various stages (and being allowed to return to their original seats) - I'm not sure how long that can continue. Other highlights for me... I quite liked the Hancock 'behind the character' type vignette as a change of pace, I liked the switcheroo with Core as well as his delicate allegience with Hawk over common foes. As for Candell, I don't see him getting paid a whole lot at this rate. <img alt=":p" data-src="//content.invisioncic.com/g322608/emoticons/tongue.png.ceb643b2956793497cef30b0e944be28.png" src="<___base_url___>/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" /></p><p> </p><p>

All in all, a very solid start and I'm looking forward to more.</p><p> </p><p>

As for show length and detail, I'm a big advocate of making things as long as you feel they need to be. Some big segments warrant and benefit from that extra work or as in Richard's promo, the full content. Screw consistancy!</p>

The polished and corporate feel is definitely what I was aiming for so great that it came across. </p><p> </p><p> As for the SUX guys... I love the idea. Truly love it. But it took some thought on how to handle it. I'm a big fan of logic when it comes to pro wrestling and any continuing invasion storyline can start to have some issues in that regard. So without saying too much, I will say that most of those "Hey, wait, what? How would they have done that?" moments are going to be rather intentional. </p><p> </p><p> As long as they need to be. Good way to approach it. And yeah, I felt this one needed to be a bit longer. Likely won't be the case going forward, but I guess we'll have to see.</p>

</div></div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">It can be a challenge to find adequate superlatives to describe Drake Richards the professional wrestler and his career. It can quickly descend into hyperbole and loses its actual value. Trying to remove the hyperbole and take genuine measure of a wrestlers greatness is challenging in itself. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The greatness of a wrestler is a difficult thing to quantify. Championships won are commonly used, but its a worked accomplishment that is affected by a wide variety of factors. Some might point to the number of great matches wrestled, but that is very subjective and what constitutes a “great match” is up for debate. Popularity is very difficult to adequately measure in a consistent manner. The attendances of shows headlined by a given wrestler has been mooted by some as the most fair method, yet this has limitations as well. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Perhaps the best anecdote to capture the standing of the man in the industry is that when he signed for the AWF in January of 2006 and immediately won the AWF World Heavyweight championship in his first match, it gave the company a significant degree of credibility that it lacked in the eyes of many. Credibility that other former WWWE stars like Jean-Claude Giroux, Chaperone, Casey Skym, and Jack Bodydrop were unable to. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

By almost any measure, Terry Thunder is the biggest star in American professional wrestling history. Drake Richards is arguably second. And it might be closer than most think. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Thunder spent twenty years in the WWWE, minus a two years spell from 2001 to 2003. He won the WWWE World title a record 7 times. He very quickly became a star after joining the company in late 1980, though it would take four years before he won the world title. His combination of charisma, “million dollar” look, size, and epic mustache appealed to the masses, and Thunder became a crossover star. The 6'6” big man was never a great wrestler in a technical sense yet he understood how to tell a story in the ring, and he was great at that. He managed to put on some memorable matches but is best remembered for his great feuds. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

The icon is most identified with the 1980s peak of popularity that the WWWE enjoyed. His epic first title reign last four years, from 1984 to 1988, was during that peak. Thunder's second WWWE run was from June of '93 to the companies close in March of 2001 was during the companies slow decline into its ulttimate closure. It would hardly be fair to attribute much of that decline to Thunder, as the problems in the company were legion. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

What is the point of a history of Terry Thunder in relation to Drake Richards? Well, its become unfortunately common to downplay the three WWWE world title reigns that Richards earned in the last few years of the company, given the decline of the promotion. Some have gone so far as to suggest that decline is why Richards even won the world title, which is incredibly unfair to the wrestler. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Richards debuted in the WWWE at just 22 years old, with only four years experience under his belt. Despite what some might claim today, he wasn't pegged as a likely star. The product of Los Angeles had movie star looks and off-the-charts charisma, but he was billed at 218 pounds. That was probably generous. At just 6'1”, Richards didn't have the build to pack on a great deal more mass. Twenty years later, he is 238 pounds. He pushed past 250 pounds at one point but looked... pudgy.</div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Some guy named Mark Twain once noted that its not the size of the dog in the fight, but the size of the fight in the dog. That is very apt when it comes to Drake. Size has always been a consideration in the business of professional wrestling and smaller wrestlers face an uphill battle to gain respect. So how did Richards manage in? To steal a quote from WWWE's great announcer Clay Clinton, “he refused to be denied”. He was simply too good to remain a midcard star. He earned his way up the card, however, and that is reflected in him having three reigns with the WWWE Intercontinental title and three reigns with the WWWE World Tag Team titles (all three with Chaperone), in addition to his three WWWE World title reigns. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

In the 1995 through 1998 range, it seemed that Richards might be stuck below the top because, ironically, he could made every opponent look good in the ring. “Mount Drake” moved beyond that because he simply too dynamic and too entertaining not to headline. As much as anything, it was a case of the fans forcing the WWWE to push Richards. He was perhaps their biggest star in the last few years of the company. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Richards never became a star on the same level as Terry Thunders at his peak, but the opportunity was never there, either. The wrestling industry was in a decline by the mid 90s and its never really recovered. No one has crossed over from wrestling into mainstream pop culture. The best anyone has managed is getting fringe recognition, and Richards has done as well as anyone else in that regard, behind perhaps only Jean-Claude Giroux due to his Red Carpet Warrior gimmick. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Is that somewhat by choice? In the five year span between the closure of the WWWE and when he joined the AWF, Richards did not wrestle and made only sporadic appearances in the entertainment industry. There are suggestions that there were a great many more opportunities for that than he took, due to Richard's connections in his hometown of Hollywood. As the man himself has stated in interviews, he was born to be a pro wrestler. And unlike many of other pro wrestlers, he doesn't harbor ambitions to use pro wrestling as a springboard into another career. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Seven years and six world title reigns have shown Richards to be a key player for the Awesome Wrestling Federation. In many ways, he's been the franchise player for the company and a catalyst in its growth. He was instrumental in turning Timothy Hawk and Silva Dolla into stars. Its questionable whether Zeke Trillion's baby could be challenging for the top spot in the US scene without Drake Richards.</div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Attempting to assess the legacy of someone whilst its still being created is an odd endeavor, yet it tends to happen regardless. One significant aspect to the career of Richards that can already be assessed is the in-ring influence he has had on American professional wrestling. He was key in popularizing the fast-paced dynamic offensive style that fans now know and accept. The WWWE was long a world of brawling big men but it opened up with Richards, leading to stars such as Sebastian Curtis and Jean-Claude Giroux. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

How influential is Richards? Back in 2004, Pro Wrestling Integrity owner Shane Allman stated that he firmly believed that his companies modern and athletic in-ring product would not have caught on with American wrestling fans if not for the influence of Drake Richards and Sebastian Curtis in the final half dozen years of the WWWE. And Curtis has noted that he feels “Mount Drake” was a key reason he was even hired by the WWWE, let alone became a star. That's pretty high praise from two key individuals.</div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

There is a natural tendency to measure the greatness or value of an individual by comparing them to other greatness. As already determined, comparing Richards to Thunder is difficult and somewhat unfair. Comparisons to fellow legend “Ravishing” Guy Lothario similarly fall short, who was a bigger wrestler and never as quick, who also became a star in secondary promotions before his later run in the WWWE. Perhaps closest is Richie Santana, as the Hawaiian was not much bigger than Richards. But Santana never had the charisma or promo skill enjoyed by Richards, and perhaps because of that gap, never became a true top star. </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;"> </div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New Roman';"></span></p><div style="margin-left:25px;"><div style="margin-left:25px;">

Perhaps we can simply enjoy Drake Richards as the first and only Drake Richards, a unique talent and a show-stealer who has been wowing American wrestling audiences for twenty years. At 42 years old, he is still going strong and shows no signs of slowing down. Age will catch up with The Bad Boy eventually, as it does with everyone. Until it does, fans and critics alike should simply enjoy the rare and unique talent who is showcasing his greatness for us on a weekly basis.</div></div><p><span style="font-family:'Times New <p>Nice profile of Richards there BP!</p><p> </p><p>

Pure Rock Fury Match, Non-Title: <strong>Mo Fury </strong>versus Kiss</p><p>

<span style="font-size:8px;">Fury has a bigger upside, and the non-title match stipulation makes me think he wins clean.</span></p><p>

Awesome Games of Fate: ??? vs <strong>Ricky Fyre</strong></p><p>

<span style="font-size:8px;">I failed last time by picking the name, so I'm hoping if I keep picking it I'll get it right eventually!</span></p><p>

AWF Starlets Championship Match: Serenity versus <strong>Jazz ©</strong></p><p>

<span style="font-size:8px;">While I quite like Serenity, I always find Alexis and Megan to be the biggest rivals for Jazz's title so I'm going for a championship defence.</span></p><p>

Singles War: Garrett South versus <strong>Timothy Hawk</strong></p><p>

<span style="font-size:8px;">South can rise up the card quite quickly with the right booking. He's not going to lose to Timothy Hawk in month 1 though!</span></p><p>

Main Event Tag Battle: <strong>Drake Richards & Core</strong> versus Mountain Albert & Silva Dolla</p><p>

<span style="font-size:8px;">Tough one as it could easily go either way. I'm going for a babyface win this time, with Albert taking the fall.</span></p>
