I was planning to go with Stubby here but the more I think about it, the more I believe it will be Rider who gets the belt for the simple reason that you have some decent heel challengers but not many faces that could challenge for the belt.

In the 2014 mod it looks like D-Pod got signed by APW for a short time, but he was injury prone and lost in the shuffle so got released after only a few months.

The crowd is the largest it has been so far. The Sulphur Squad has grown to six people now and they even have custom made shirts at this point with the big man's mug on it along with the text 'Sulphur has a Posse' on it. It's going to be a loooooong night.

Blood Brother vs Matty Wills with Rose Wills</div>

It's actual wrestling ability against face punching for the most part. Matty has to use his ring savvy to try and control the violent Blood Brother who just abuse the younger wrestler with his strikes. There are several surprise pin attempts by Matty and even at one point it looks like Blood Brother was either supposed to kick out faster or the referee was supposed to count slower because there is a bit of a pause when Matty gets to his feet before celebrating that he won the match.

Dazzler makes his way to the ring and does his sexy dance before D-Pod gets the music to stop and he gets in the ring with hands held up.

D-Pod: "My brother! I know you like to get down in a different way than I do, but tonight we got to channel our inner dance to beat the Samoans. They got hard heads but we got soul! Hit the music!"

With that D-Pod starts to dance to his music when it begins to play and he tries to get Dazzler to do the same. Dazzler at first starts to sexy dance, but manages to stop himself and dance along with D-Pod only you know.....white guy.

The Samoans show their displeasure of the dancing via headbutts. In a panic it makes Dazzler revert to his sexy dancing ways since it seems to be a self defense mechanism. King Malietoa actually gets distracted much in the way Sulphur did. The Brisbane Devil headbutts King Malietoa to help snap him out of it before they both attack Dazzler. D-Pod tries to save his partner, but gets tossed right back outside for his troubles. The Brisbane Devil soon hits Dazzler with an Asian Thumb Spike.

A technical masterpiece this is not. There have probably been bar brawls that have come out prettier than this match. It looks like Slugger legit knocks himself silly at one point when getting thrown into a post on the outside. He looks to be out of his feet and Warlock quickly rolls him on the inside and locks in a sleeper hold. The referee quickly calls for the bell and checks on Slugger once he is released.

Syrus is already in the ring waiting when an annoyed Lorenzo Oliverio comes out with Ceri Dordevich. His walk is a slow one and he circles the ring while he seems none too happy about the match he is about to have.

Lorenzo Oliverio: An old man that should be retired and a cowboy wannabe are fighting over MY title while I am stuck wrestling....well. The less I say about this bumpkin the better. Everyone knows I'M the best wrestler here and I'M the one that should be champion. This is a trav-AIEE!

It looks like Lorenzo got too close to the ring and Syrus didn't appreciate being called names as he pulls Lorenzo in by the hair.

Syrus gets several shots in before Lorenzo manages to get a nice thumb to the eye to have a moment and recover as he slips outside and hugs Ceri tightly then puts her between himself and Syrus when the Bat Man comes after him. The ruse works and it allows Lorenzo to go on the attack again after he shoves Ceri at Syrus and takes the man down. He locks Syrus in an STF in the middle of the ring and the Bat Man soon has to tap.

Surfer Dude Lucas vs Sulphur with Dutch DeRue</div>

Punishment for calling Stubby late at night? PERHAPS! Lucas will get credit for one thing during the match. He is the first man to bring Sulphur down to one knee and almost takes him fully off his feet. Then again there might be the worry Sulphur might be part turtle and can't get up once on his back so he doesn't go down for now. The big man recovers and he uses all three regular moves he knows to soften up Lucas before using the Depths of Hell to finish him off.

Winner: Sulphur

Both men come to the ring and look ready for their title match. Stubbs is his usual angry self and as they are getting introductions he shouts insults towards Lone Rider who for the most part just responds with 'Nope' each time. The title is then raised high and shown off after both challengers are introduced and the match gets ready t-PEARL HARBOR JOB BY STUBBS.

Lone Rider vs Septimus Stubbs</div>

Septimus takes full advantage of having jumped Rider before the match officially got under way. He is even feeling frisky enough he throws in a suplex which is something he rarely breaks out these days. Rider proves to be a scrappy fighter in his own right and doesn't go down easily. He fights back and almost nails a Ride On to end this match if not for Stubbs managing to duck that powerful lariat. The two fight through the crowd for a bit and a one of Stubb's forearms seem to bust Rider open over one eye. Rider doesn't let that stop him and even headbutts Stubby to show he isn't worried about making the wound worse.

Eventually they end up back in the ring before the twenty count and Stubbs is in control once more. A Stubby Driver attempt is reversed and a tired Rider staggers into a corner for a moment before bursting forward and delivers a Ride On when Septimus gets back to his feet. The cagey veteran tries to kick out, but he can't beat the three count.

Lone Rider doesn't really get time to celebrate. He is holding his title and wiping blood from his face when Dutch DeRue and his clients emerge from the kitchen. DeRue just golf claps and he stands outside the ring as all three big men stand behind him. Rider looks ready for a fight, but it doesn't seem like he will have to worry about it for now.

Dutch DeRue: Well congratulations, Lone Rider. I wouldn't get too attached to that title if I were you. Now that this farce of a tournament is over I will be sure to get my hands on it. The question is who do I pick to take it from you?

The Sulphur Squad obviously has an answer to that and the big man is doing his best to keep his mean face on instead of smile. The Tzar is in the back doing all the smiling for him while Septimus cries on the inside.

Dutch DeRue: I'll think it over. Rest up, cowboy. Because there is nothing you can do when DeRue Enterprises comes after you.

With that DeRue motions for his men to follow him out and Lone Rider is finally allowed to celebrate his title win.

Stubby Thoughts</div>

- Christ I am getting old. I think I have realized my limit on matches these days and need to go no longer than twelve if I can help it. Otherwise I start to look as bad as some of these other guys.

- A **** up and a on the fly change in one night!? Fuuuuuck. Slugger got knocked silly so I can understand the quick change up to end the match early, but there was no excuse really for what happened with Blood Brother and Matty.

- The Bat Men are pretty horrid as individuals and passable as a team. They both really need work, but then again, most ****ing people do around here.

OOC: So yeeeeeaaaaah. I am pretty sure I had things set for Slugger and Blood Brother to win, but my save file said differently when I looked at the history. Fun times.

In the background the Samoans are headbutting one another in farewell for the evening as Septimus Stubbs sits at a table with an ice pack on each knee and a glass of scotch in hand. He is a bit lost in thought on trying to figure out if they might break even or even make money again this month when the sound of a beer hitting the table snaps him out of his daze.

"Gnh?"

"Thank me for what? Oh, the title? ****, no need to thank me for that. I just wish my knees weren't feeling so ****ed today. We could have had a better match."

"No, no. I mean I do thank you for the belt, but more the fact that you gave me a job."

"Hnn? Personally I don't understand how you don't have one with APW."

"I think it is because they expect my father and to be fair, mate, I turn into a complete nervous idiot if I try to talk for a long time."

Septimus laughs a bit at that and takes a drink from his scotch. He ends up polishing off the drink and slowly standing up after removing the ice from his knees. He slaps Lone Rider on the back.

"Kid, people have gone to bigger promotions that have A LOT less skill than you. Just keep busting your ass."

Stubbs actually has something of a smile on his face when he wanders off. That is until he rounds the corner to go to the bathroom.

"OH FOR **** SAKE! TZAR, SULPHUR IS STUCK IN THE MEN'S ROOM AGAIN!"

More silence is heard and Septimus reaches up to rub at his eyes a bit, his voice trying not to sound shakey when he speaks.

The angry old man hangs up after another moment then he sits lays back down and stares at the ceiling.
