After earning this opportunity for a title match after defeating Triple H and Kane in a triple threat match, Edge made his intentions clear; to win the WWE Championship, use his MITB Contract to win the World Heavyweight Championship and re-unite the titles. Edge has big goals, but there is one massive roadblock standing in his way: John Cena. John Cena has been near unstoppable since his WM21 Win over JBL, and he is determined to not stop his reign now, he too, wants to walk into Wrestlemania the same way he left last year: As the champ.

Devastatingly, after 282 Days as World Heavyweight Champion, Dave Batista had suffered a terrible that has left him unable to compete for nearly six months. As a result, his title had to be vacated, and on the next episode of Smackdown, there was a 20 man battle royal for the vacant championship. In the bout, the final two men were JBL and the Undertaker, but outside interference from Orlando Jordan, allowed JBL to steal the win and the title. The next week, Undertaker demanded retribution, and Long claimed it was only fair, and set up this match for the PPV, with Orlando Jordan banned from ringside.

BIG SHOW & KANE© VS. THE SPIRIT SQAUD [KENNY & MIKEY]

Kane and Big Show are probably one of the best teams to ever hold these tag team titles, but the hot prospects, in the form of Male Cheerleaders are here to challenge them. Despite losing a number one contenders match on RAW, after they helped Vince McMahon humiliate Shawn Michaels, he awarded them a match.

Eventually Kane gets the hot tag to Big Show, and they hit some double moves on both men, including a double chokeslam on Kenny, but Johnny pulls the referee out of the ring. The Champions still look set to retain, as Big Show hits his new 'KO Punch' finisher on Mikey. However, Nicky jumps up on the apron and distracts the referee whilst the rest of the sqaud pull Mikey out and replace him with a fresh Johnny. Cena hits Edge with the FU, but Edge just kicks out, and reaches the ropes when put in the STF. Edge returns the favor with a spear, but Cena kicks out. Edge is getting visibly angry because he can't put the champion away. He hits four spears in total, but John Cena keeps kicking out. Eventually Edge goes crazy, he can't put John Cena away. The referee takes a bump when Edge avoids a punch from Cena, and proceeds to get a chair and hit Cena over the skull with it. The referee just comes to. One...Two, No John just kicks out. Shawn Michaels is out now, and it seems Noble wants the $50,000, as he goes after HBK, but he is unsuccessful. Chris Masters and Viscera now join the fray, and it seems everybody wants the bounty, as Angle, Chavo, Noble, Masters and Viscera are all teaming up on Shawn. HBK Breaks free from the pack long enough to eliminate Jamie Noble, and Benoit and RVD eliminate Chavo & Masters. Viscera is still going for HBK though, when Triple H charges in with a sledgehammer!
