[WWF Prime Time Wrestling begins this week in Arizona Veterans Coliseum with Gorilla Monsoon as the host and the special guest colour commentator this week: Jimmy Snuka. The Gorilla and The Superfly discuss the matches that have been signed this evening, including our main event where Hulk Hogan teams up with the Legion Of Doom against Sgt. Slaughter, The Iron Sheik and Boris Zhukov. What a match that should be! The Superfly says that he is looking forward to seeing Hulk Hogan take the WWF World Title away from the hands of that Iraqi scumbag Sgt. Slaughter. He says that this begins tonight. He puts all of his money behind Hogan's team winning this evening. Speaking of Hogan's team, the crowd here in Arizona rises to their feet when they hear 'Ohhhhhhh What a rush!']

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/PaulEllering.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/Animal91.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/Hawk91.jpg

[The crowd rises to their feet as Paul Ellering leads The Legion Of Doom right down to the ring, wearing their spiked shoulderpads. They climb the turnbuckles and raise their arms in the air, getting the crowd to begin a chant of 'LOD, LOD, LOD!' The manager, Paul Ellering, has the microphone first and he says that a wise man once told him to focus on one task at a time and you will get everything done. Tonight, The Legion Of Doom's task is to step into the ring with Hulk Hogan on their side against the anti-American group of Sgt. Slaughter, The Iron Sheik and Boris Zhukov. We've got the power, the speed and now the brains with myself guiding the ship. He says that tonight the focus is going to be on the three anti-Americans. Tell 'em Hawk! Hawk gets on the microphone and says that they have heard that tonight is going to be dangerous. Like they say, we snack on danger and dine on death. They continue to hype the match tonight until they are interrupted by the music of one of their biggest rivals.]

[The music of Demolition brings the tag team out to boos from the crowd. Mr. Fuji leads his team right down to the ring. Ax and Smash slide inside and the fight is on! There is no time for talking as Ax trades punches with Hawk and Animal trades punches with Smash! Even Mr. Fuji and Paul Ellering get into the act! Fuji tries to use his cane to his advantage but Ellering blocks the cane shot and floors Fuji with a punch. Hawk drives Ax back in a corner and Animal drives Smash into the opposite corner. They climb up and the crowd counts along with the punches, getting to ten. They drop down and whip Ax and Smash toward each other -- reversed! Hawk and Animal run right into each other. Ax and Smash continue the fight as road agents and referees fill the ring to separate the two teams. These two teams will meet at WrestleMania! What a match that should be!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/TedDiBiase9.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/Virgil.jpg

[As the ring is being cleared, we head backstage to the office of WWF President The Million Dollar Man and his bodyguard Virgil. He says that he has made the decision that there will be no more title matches until WrestleMania. He says that he doesn't want any titles changing hands before the biggest day in his career as the WWF President. Another announcement is that he has made a match for tonight. The number one contender to the WWF Intercontinental title Ricky Steamboat takes on the newest member of the Heenan Family Tully Blanchard in what should be an excellent match. He wishes both wrestlers good luck tonight and says to remember that everybody has a price for the Million Dollar Man.]

Match #1

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/PaulRomaPOP.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/Slick.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/VS.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/MartyJannetty0.jpg

Paul Roma vs. Marty Jannetty

[The first match of the evening features two wrestlers who are both more comfortable in tag team matches as one half of the WWF World Tag Team Champions Paul Roma takes on one half of the Rockers Marty Jannetty. This is a fast-paced match between the two wrestlers, keeping the fans on the edge of their feet. Roma shows what an excellent dropkick he can throw and he draws a two count after that. Roma heads to the top turnbuckle and tries to score a victory with his top rope splash but Jannetty moves out of the way and Roma catches only mat. Jannetty is powered on by Beulah at ringside and he strikes Roma with a hangman neckbreaker. He scores a two count and then looks to Beulah for advice. The look-away gives Roma a chance to recover and he rolls up Jannetty scoring a two count. Outside the ring, Slick comes over to Beulah and a shoving match has Beulah grabbing her ankle. Roma is climbing the turnbuckle but he sees Beulah down and he begins yelling at Slick and looking worried. Roma seems more worried for Beulah and Jannetty pulls himself up, coming over and slamming Roma from the turnbuckle. Jannetty moves in quickly -- Rocker Dropper! Jannetty makes a cover: One, Two, Three! We have the two teams tied at one with the rubber match at WrestleMania!]

Winner: Marty Jannetty (Via Pinfall @ 9:49)

Match Rating: C-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/TedDiBiase9.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/Virgil.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/BobBacklund.jpg

[We move to the office area once again where The Million Dollar Man seems to be signing some papers with Virgil in the background. Bob Backlund bursts into the office and he demands a WWF World title rematch with Sgt. Slaughter. The WWF President looks annoyed and shakes his head, citing his earlier ruling about no more title matches until WrestleMania. Backlund tries to argue with him but DiBiase puts his foot down and then states that at WrestleMania, Bob Backlund will be taking on The Iron Sheik in a loser throws in the towel match. Each man will have someone in their corner and the only way to win is for your cornerman to throw in the towel. Because Backlund has annoyed him, he is going to assign Backlund's cornerman as his bodyguard Virgil! DiBiase says that he hopes Virgil doesn't have some Arnold Skaaland in him. DiBiase laughs and Backlund shakes his head.]

Match #2

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/KingKongBundy.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/SherriMartel1.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/VS.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/BrianCostello.jpg

King Kong Bundy vs. Brian Costello

[Our next match features one of the Kings of the WWF as King Kong Bundy takes on the man who is already in the ring: Brian Costello. Costello has been on a losing streak and nothing about that streak changes here tonight as he barely gets in any offense against King Kong Bundy. The Sensational Queen Sherri yells instructions from ringside as Bundy whips Costello into a corner. Bundy catches Costello with an avalanche and then looks down at his fallen foe. Bundy bounces off the ropes -- Big Splash! Bundy scores the pinfall with a one, two, three!]

Winner: King Kong Bundy (Via Pinfall @ 6:09)

Match Rating: D-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/RandySavage91.jpg

[The bell has sounded as King Kong Bundy scores the victory. Sensational Queen Sherri enters the ring and is all smiles about this victory. Bundy yells at referee Jim Korderas that he wants a five count tonight. As both Bundy and Sherri yell at the referee, Randy Savage sneaks down to the ring. The Macho King climbs the turnbuckles and catches Bundy with a flying double axehandle! The crowd cheers Savage as he throws punches and works to down the tough opponent King Kong Bundy. Bundy shoves Savage back from him but Savage has no backward motor. Road agents and officials hit the ring for the second time tonight. They are doing their best to separate these two men but it is very difficult to hold back a man the size of King Kong Bundy. They do their best and we cut away as they are trying to bring the two men to the back.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/Slick.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/HerculesPOP.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/PaulRomaPOP.jpg

[in a backstage locker room, Hercules is absolutely yelling at Paul Roma. Hercules says that Roma better not be distracted at WrestleMania. Roma says that Beulah is just a friend of hers and he blames Slick for pushing her down and injuring her during the match. Slick tries to play peacemaker by apologizing and telling Roma it won't happen again. Roma tells Hercules that they will not lose the tag team titles at WrestleMania. He says that he will be focused on that match. Hercules tells him that he better be focused or that it might not be the Rockers who put Roma out of his misery.]

Match #3

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/DemolitionAx.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/DemolitionSmash.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/MrFuji2.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/VS.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/BrianBlair2.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/JimBrunzell2.jpg

Demolition vs. The Killer Bees

[We head to the ring for the next match this evening that features Demolition with Mr. Fuji taking on the return of The Killer Bees. The Killer Bees try a quick pace in the beginning but soon Demolition takes control and Ax and Smash look to take out some of the anger at Legion Of Doom on the Killer Bees. They bring Brian Blair down on the mat and both Ax and Smash begin hitting him with double axehandles all over his body. A fan raises a sign reading: 'The Bees Have No Buzz!' and that definitely seems to be the truth in this match. The end comes when Brian Blair is sent across the knee of Smash with a backbreaker and Ax comes down with a Demolition Decapitation. Ax makes the cover and draws in the three count to the happiness of Mr. Fuji at ringside.]

Winners: Demolition (Via Pinfall @ 5:45)

Match Rating: C-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/KerryVonErich1.jpg

[We now go from the ring to the continuing saga of the Modern Day Warrior Kerry Von Erich. Again, he is settled into the ring at the Dallas Sportatorium. He continues the talk about his family, focusing on his older brother David Von Erich, also known as the Yellow Rose Of Texas. He says that he is doing his best to live up to the legacy that his brother created in the professional wrestling world. He says that his father has also created a lasting legacy. He talks about being a former WWF Intercontinental Champion as well. But he doesn't feel like he has quite stepped out of the shadow of his family to create his own legacy. He says that next week he will begin creating his own legacy as he returns to WWF Prime Time Wrestling as The Modern Day Warrior Kerry Von Erich. He says he will be happy to show each and every wrestler the Iron Claw. Von Erich stands up and throws a Tornado Punch that sends the screen to black.]

[instead of going back to the ring, we go back to the office of WWF President: The Million Dollar Man. Virgil stands in the background as Hulk Hogan comes into the room. Hogan asks The Million Dollar Man about the search to find out who attacked Jack Tunney. The Million Dollar Man says that the search is continuing to find out who the attacker was but that he cannot just focus on that. Hulk Hogan begins to push DiBiase to find out who it was. But DiBiase turns the subject to Hulk Hogan. He says that he wants to make sure that his number one contender is healthy for WrestleMania. Therefore, next week, Hulk Hogan will have the week off entirely. He says that Hogan will not even be allowed in the building next week. He then tells Virgil to see Hogan out of HIS office. Virgil steps forward and comes eye-to-eye with Hogan. Hogan warns Virgil not to touch him and then DiBiase warns Hogan not to touch Virgil or he will be fired. Hogan allows himself to be escorted out of the office while DiBiase picks up a telephone and calls someone, saying that 'we might be in trouble.']

Match #4

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/MikeSharpe.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/VS.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/UltimateWarrior.jpg

Mike Sharpe vs. The Ultimate Warrior

[Another match where we see complete dominance on one side of the match. The former WWF World Heavyweight Champion destroys the man known as Iron. Warrior brings Sharpe down with several clotheslines and plays to the crowd for a moment. Warrior catches Sharpe with a leaping shoulder block and then picks him up, raising him high in the air with a gorilla press slam. He presses him several times before dropping him behind him onto the mat. Warrior bounces off the ropes and hits the Ultimate Splash. Warrior makes the cover: One, Two, Three!]

Winner: The Ultimate Warrior (Via Pinfall @ 6:22)

Match Rating: C

[A celebration begins inside the ring as The Ultimate Warrior listens to the cheers from the audience. There are many fans with Warrior masks on. As The Ultimate Warrior celebrates, the attention turns to the aisle as two druids begin walking down to the ring carrying a black wreath. They set the wreath down at ringside and then walk away to the backstage area. Warrior exits the ring and looks at the wreath. The wreath has 'R.I.P. The Ultimate Warrior' on a sash across the front. The Ultimate Warrior picks up the wreath and tosses it toward the ring, breaking the stand. He begins tearing up the wreath as The Undertaker's face shows up on the Titan tron. The laughter of The Undertaker is heard as the mind games continue against The Ultimate Warrior. Warrior shakes his head and walks to the back as the lights flicker and the laughter continues until Warrior disappears.]

[We go to the backstage interview area where Gene Okerlund is standing by with Hulk Hogan and The Legion Of Doom with Paul Ellering. Okerlund asks Hawk and Animal about their earlier confrontation with Demolition. Ellering grabs the microphone and says that they cannot turn their focus on Demolition tonight. Tonight they have to focus on the six man tag team match with this man, Hulk Hogan. Hogan says that these men have been watching his back and appreciates it very much. He says it is good to know who your friends are in this business and that these are two men that you can trust, that all his Hulkamaniacs can trust. He says that tonight is going to be a fight but it will be a preview of WrestleMania. Ellering says that Hogan is an honorary member of the Legion of Doom tonight only. Hogan asks these anti-American scum whatcha gonna do when the Legion of Doom run wild over you?!?!]

Match #5

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/CurtHennig91.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/BobbyHeenan1.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/VS.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/AlBurke.jpg

Non Title Match

Mr. Perfect vs. Al Burke

[bobby Heenan escorts Mr. Perfect down to the ring as his opponent, Al Burke, is already standing in the ring. The announcers do a lot of talking about the main event tonight during this nearly seven minute contest. Perfect does some focus on the knee of Burke, hitting him with a knee breaker and a brief figure four leglock that nearly forces Burke to submit. Perfect also uses an indian deathlock that once again nearly forces Burke to submit. Perfect gets Burke into a corner and catches him with a snapmare and then a rolling neck snap. Perfect looks to Heenan for instruction and Heenan tells him to finish the match. Perfect nods and picks up Burke, hooking him in a suplex position. He looks to the crowd and says that now it's time for a Perfect-Plex. Perfect does just that, bringing Burke down with a Perfect-Plex and the referee drops down to make the count: One, Two, Three! Another victory for the WWF Intercontinental Champion!]

Winner: Mr. Perfect (Via Pinfall @ 6:59)

Match Rating: C

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/AlfredHayes.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/SgtSlaughter3.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/TheIronSheik.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/BorisZhukov.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/SheikAdnanAl-Kaissey2.jpg

[We go from the ring to the backstage interview area where Lord Alfred Hayes is interviewing Sgt. Slaughter, The Iron Sheik, Boris Zhukov and their manager General Adnan. Hayes asks the four men about the match tonight and Slaughter is front and center during the interview. He says that whoever the Legion of Doom talked to saying they are dangerous deserves a field promotion. However, the Legion of Doom are about to get a demotion to private tonight when they take on three men who can absolutely destroy anyone they step in the ring with. After tonight, Hulk Hogan might not make it to WrestleMania. Tonight, Sgt. Slaughter says, Hogan just might get dismissed!]

Match #6

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/TullyBlanchard.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/BobbyHeenan1.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/VS.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/RickySteamboat92.jpg

Tully Blanchard vs. Ricky Steamboat

[Our semi main event this evening is a purist's dream match as Tully Blanchard steps into the ring with Ricky 'The Dragon' Steamboat. Early on, Steamboat grabs Blanchard with several arm drags and then an armbar focusing on the arm of the former member of the Brainbusters. Steamboat gets Blanchard into a corner and begins chopping away at his chest. He catches Blanchard with a kneeling facebuster and scores a two count on the pinfall. Steamboat bounces off the ropes but gets tripped up by Bobby Heenan. The referee admonishes Heenan but the momentum has changed into the corner of Tully Blanchard. Blanchard brings Steamboat to the mat and then bounces off the ropes, striking him with a delayed knee drop and drawing a two count. He sends Steamboat out of the ring and the two continue the fight with Blanchard ramming Steamboat into the ring post and then his back into the ring apron. The action returns to the ring where Blanchard sets up Steamboat for a piledriver but the crowd fires Steamboat up and Steamboat reverses, sending Blanchard to the mat. With the fans going wild, a fan raises a sign reading: 'Ricky vs. Tully: The REAL Main Event!']

[steamboat has the fans clapping and stomping their feet. Steamboat ducks a clothesline attempt and catches Blanchard with a scoop powerslam. Steamboat builds the momentum and brings Tully Blanchard to the top turnbuckle. The crowd claps and cheers as Steamboat climbs up, prepared to bring Blanchard over in a Superplex but Blanchard blocks the attempt and then shoves Steamboat off the turnbuckle. Blanchard leaps and catches Steamboat with a top rope kneedrop. Blanchard makes the cover: One, Two, Kickout! The crowd cheers the kickout by Steamboat. Blanchard is frustrated by not getting the three count. Heenan tries to keep Blanchard focused. The former WWF World Tag Team Champion brings Steamboat to his feet and tries throwing him over the top rope. Blanchard plays to the crowd but Steamboat held on to the top rope. He pulls himself back in the ring and catches Blanchard with a spinning heel kick! Steamboat heads to the top turnbuckle. He looks toward Blanchard as he begins climbing his feet. Steamboat leaps -- Diving Cross Body! Steamboat hooks the leg: One, Two, Three! A big win for Ricky Steamboat!]

Winner: Ricky Steamboat (Via Pinfall @ 10:11)

Match Rating: B

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/SidVicious91.jpg

[The crowd was very happy about the victory by Ricky Steamboat but not so happy when we move to the next hype video. The music from Psycho plays in the background as we move along a very old house. The video is reminiscent of the opening to Tales From The Crypt. We hear a scream in the background and then another and then another. We move to see someone tied down and blood filling up the screen. A man is shown standing nearby and that man turns to look at the camera. His evil dark laughter is heard as we see that this man is Sid Vicious. An announcer says that 'Psycho' Sid Vicious is coming soon to the World Wrestling Federation. He is coming to the World Wrestling Federation the day after WrestleMania.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/TedDiBiase9.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/Virgil.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/RoddyPiper91.jpg

[From the hype video, we return to the office of The Million Dollar Man. Virgil is standing in between The Million Dollar Man and Roddy Piper. DiBiase says that he thanks Piper for instructing the wrestlers of the future down in the WWF Training Center. However, he does know that Piper has a professional wrestling contract with the World Wrestling Federation. Therefore, he has decided that Roddy Piper should be wrestling in a WWF ring. Piper says that he has retired from wrestling but DiBiase says that he is not allowed to by the terms of his contract. Therefore, next week, he is putting Roddy Piper in a match with The Warlord. He wishes Piper luck and says that maybe The Warlord will put Piper in the hospital and he won't be able to wrestle. Piper looks ready to fight but Virgil makes sure that no violence goes down at this moment by striking Piper with a low blow. Virgil yanks Piper out of the office as The Million Dollar Man laughs in the background.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/RickMartel91.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/RockinRobin.jpg

[From the backstage area, we come to the ring where Rick Martel is already standing. He has one side of his face covered in a Phantom of the Opera style mask due to the snake bite he suffered last week at the hands of Jake Roberts. Martel throws in some insults in French to Jake Roberts and then calls out a mystery person that he wants to interview. That person is the women's professional Wrestler Rockin' Robin! Robin comes out with a smile and enters the ring. Martel says that Jake Roberts did not tell the world that he also has a sister in the business. He asks Robin how that made her feel. She says that her brother has always been a loner. However, she says that he always made her feel like part of the family. In fact, she invites him to come out to the ring right now.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/JakeRoberts1.jpg

[Jake Roberts walks out from the back with the snake bag over his shoulder. Martel looks at the bag and exits the ring, backing up against the guardrail. Roberts enters the ring and embraces his sister. Then Robin asks Roberts why he did not bring her to the World Wrestling Federation. She asks him why he insists on being alone when he has this entire family here in the wrestling business. She says that he is being exactly like their father, who was never around. She slaps Roberts and then goes for another one but Roberts grabs the wrist. So instead of a slap Roberts catches a low blow from Robin. The snake bag goes down and Robin tosses it out of the ring. Martel enters the ring after that and gives Robin a kiss! The crowd boos loudly as the new couple exit the ring, leaving Roberts on the mat.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/RickyMorton.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/RobertGibson.jpg

[Another hype video begins to play with the focus on the brand new tag team coming to the World Wrestling Federation. The Rock 'n' Roll Express are shown wrestling random wrestlers, using various tag team double team moves, including their vicious double dropkick. The music turns to a music video featuring the Rock 'N' Roll Express in downtown Phoenix Arizona. They buy ice cream with their fans and celebrate victories. The video ends with an announcer saying they will be making their WWF debut this week on WWF Superstars.]

Match #7

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/SgtSlaughter3.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/TheIronSheik.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/BorisZhukov.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/SheikAdnanAl-Kaissey2.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/VS.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/HulkHogan91.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/Hawk91.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/Animal91.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/PaulEllering.jpg

Sgt. Slaughter, The Iron Sheik and Boris Zhukov vs. Hulk Hogan and The Legion Of Doom

[Now it's time for our main event and what a main event that we have this evening as Hulk Hogan and The Legion Of Doom take on Sgt. Slaughter, The Iron Sheik and Boris Zhukov. The beginning of the match is very typical as the Hogan/LOD team gets control and frequent tags in and out before the match breaks down into a pier six brawl between all six wrestlers. The momentum quickly turns when Hawk misses a clothesline outside the ring and instead strikes the ring post with his arm! Back inside the ring, Hawk is double-teamed and sometimes triple-teamed by Slaughter, Sheik and Zhukov. They have their focus on the arm of Hawk as each wrestler is in the ring. Zhukov heads to the top turnbuckle and then leaps, catching Hawk with a diving headbutt. Zhukov makes the cover: One, Two, Broken Up By Hulk Hogan! That might have been a three count if not for Hogan. Zhukov tags in The Iron Sheik and Sheik hooks Hawk in an abdominal stretch. Hawk fights the pain but Sheik has the hold on tight in the center of the ring. After about a minute and a half, Hawk manages to push Sheik over with a hip toss. Both men are looking to make tags and people outside the ring want to get in the ring. Boris Zhukov is tagged in and so is Animal!]

[Animal shows his power and strength as he takes Zhukov over with a powerslam! Slaughter comes in and Animal ducks a clothesline, yanking Slaughter up high in the air, press slamming Slaughter onto the mat. Animal beats his chest and then tags in Hogan. A pier six brawl ensues in the ring and outside the ring. The referee gets tangled up with the brawl, trying to keep order inside and outside the ring. As the referee is focused outside the ring, Boris Zhukov strikes Hogan with a steel chair provided by General Adnan. Zhukov makes the cover as the referee turns around: One, Two, Kickout! Hogan gets to his knees and shakes his head! The crowd goes wild as Hogan begins to Hulk Up! A fan raises a sign reading: 'Boris Sucker!' The Legion Of Doom battle with Sgt. Slaughter and The Iron Sheik outside the ring as Hogan blocks a Zhukov punch and fires off with three of his own! He sends Zhukov to the ropes -- Big Boot! Hogan quickly bounces off the ropes -- Atomic Legdrop! Hogan makes the cover: One, Two, Three!]

Winners: Hulk Hogan and The Legion Of Doom (Via Pinfall @ 16:48)

Match Rating: B

[What a huge victory for Hulk Hogan and The Legion Of Doom! The crowd is on their feet as Hogan begins to celebrate in the ring. Sgt. Slaughter gets an advantage over Animal outside the ring, striking him with a catapult into the ring post. Slaughter takes a chair and slides into the ring, striking Hogan from behind. The crowd boos this latest attack by Sgt. Slaughter. Slaughter hits Hogan with a chair again and again. Hogan is downed on the mat and Slaughter hooks a Camel Clutch on him. Outside the ring, Boris Zhukov and The Iron Sheik suffer at the hands of The Legion Of Doom and Paul Ellering motions for them to come in the ring to help Hogan. Slaughter releases Hogan from the Camel Clutch and then yanks him up slightly, looking Hogan into the eyes. Then Slaughter throws a bright shining fireball in the face of Hogan! Hogan grabs his face, screaming in pain. The Legion Of Doom enter the ring and Slaughter quickly exits the ring. Ellering yells for a medic for Hogan and the cameras zoom in as EMTs have to work on Hogan. The show ends with Hogan's face burned and Slaughter raising the WWF World Title belt.]

The Executioners vs. The Rock 'n' Roll Express

[in a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, The Rock 'n' Roll Express defeated The Executioners in 5:49 when Robert Gibson defeated Agony by pinfall with a Double dropkick.]

Winners: The Rock 'n' Roll Express (Via Pinfall @ 5:49)

[We move from the in-ring debut of The Rock 'n' Roll Express to a hype video that focuses on the main event from last Monday's Prime Time Wrestling show. A big victory was achieved by the team of Hulk Hogan and The Legion Of Doom in six man tag team action against Sgt. Slaughter, The Iron Sheik and Boris Zhukov. The crowd was happy about the victory but not so happy when Slaughter attacked Hogan from behind with a steel chair. The vicious chair shots are shown in slow motion and then we see Slaughter hook on the Camel Clutch. We move from that picture to one of the most frightening pictures of the night. That is where Slaughter struck Hogan with a fireball that lit up the ring. Hogan is shown rolling around on the mat in pain. The Legion Of Doom enter the ring to chase off Slaughter and then out come the EMTs. We are shown Hogan being taken out on a stretcher, which was not shown on Prime Time Wrestling. Will he recover in time for WrestleMania?]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/TedDiBiase9.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/Virgil.jpg

[We move to the office of The Million Dollar Man. His bodyguard Virgil is standing by as the focus is on the WWF President. Ted DiBiase states that he has a major surprise coming this Monday on Prime Time Wrestling. He predicts that this surprise will be a game changer for WrestleMania. He says that he will be booking a match that has never been seen in any promotion anywhere any time for the Prime Time Wrestling show six days before WrestleMania. What will that match be? Well, he says that everybody has a price for the Million Dollar Man. He says that he will be announcing that main event match this Monday on Prime Time Wrestling.]

Match #2

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/TheUndertaker1.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/PaulBearer.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/VS.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/BrianCostello.jpg

The Undertaker vs. Brian Costello

[in an extremely short match, The Undertaker defeated Brian Costello in 5:20 by pinfall with a Tombstone Piledriver.]

Winner: The Undertaker (Via Pinfall @ 5:20)

Match Rating: C-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/UltimateWarrior.jpg

[The Undertaker picks up a victory here over Brian Costello here tonight on WWF Superstars. As he is preparing to place Costello in a body bag, the TitanTron lights up with an image of his WrestleMania opponent The Ultimate Warrior. Warrior begins cutting a promo on The Undertaker, saying that he is not afraid of the dark. He says that at WrestleMania all the black wreathes and body bags and Paul Bearers in the world will not stop him from the power of the Warriors in the audience. He says that he will focus that power in his hands and draw his strength from the power that comes to him like a generator from all of his Warriors. With that power he will be raising The Undertaker over his head and dropping him to the mat. He says that death will not come at WrestleMania because the legacy of The Ultimate Warrior can never die. When the video concludes, The Undertaker takes his anger out on Brian Costello, raising him up in the air and dropping him with a chokeslam. The Undertaker places Costello in a body bag and carries him out to the back.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/RoddyPiper91.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/TheWarlord1.jpg

[A hype video begins playing where the focus is on the upcoming match between Roddy Piper and The Warlord. This will be Piper's return to a wrestling ring. The Warlord is shown beating down wrestlers again and again in the ring. The Warlord hooks on a full nelson on various jobbers. Then Piper is shown hooking a Sleeperhold on various jobbers. Will these two men put on a good match Monday at Prime Time Wrestling? The video concludes showing The Million Dollar Man making this match last Monday at Prime Time Wrestling and then the attack by Virgil on Piper with a low blow.]

Match #3

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/MikeSharpe.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/VS.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/KokoBWare.jpg

Mike Sharpe vs. Koko B. Ware

[in a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Koko B. Ware defeated Mike Sharpe in 5:42 by pinfall with a Bird Buster.]

Winner: Koko B. Ware (Via Pinfall @ 5:42)

Match Rating: D-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/SidVicious91.jpg

[The same hype video from WWF Prime Time Wrestling is shown this week on WWF Superstars. He is coming to the World Wrestling Federation the day after WrestleMania.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/Beulah.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/MartyJannetty0.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/ShawnMichaels0.jpg

[We go from the hype video to an interview with Beulah and The Rockers. Marty Jannetty asks Beulah about her friendship with Paul Roma. Beulah says that she has already explained to Marty that she has had a friendship with Roma for a very long time. She says that there is nothing between the two of them. Shawn Michaels says that they need to focus on their WWF World Tag Team titles match at WrestleMania against Power & Glory. Michaels tells Jannetty to keep his eye on the prize, those tag team title belts that have been hiding from The Rockers since their arrival as a team here in the WWF. Michaels says that Roma and Hercules are going to be rocked.]

Match #4

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/SteveLombardi.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/VS.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/ShawnMichaels0.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/MartyJannetty0.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/Beulah.jpg

Brooklyn Brawler vs. Shawn Michaels

[in a bout that had solid in-ring action but non-existent crowd heat, Shawn Michaels defeated Brooklyn Brawler in 6:30 by pinfall with a Superkick.]

Winner: Shawn Michaels (Via Pinfall @ 6:30)

Match Rating: C-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/RickMartel91.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/JakeRoberts1.jpg

[We go from the ring where Shawn Michaels is victorious to a hype video featuring Rick Martel and Jake Roberts. The video begins with Martel spraying Roberts in the eyes with his Arrogance spray on an episode of The Brother Love Show. All of the interactions between Martel and Roberts are shown, including Roberts introducing Sam Houston as his brother. Then the focus turns to WWF Prime Time Wrestling this past Monday where Rick Martel brings out the sister of Jake Roberts: Rockin' Robin. Robin and Roberts argue and then Robin catches Roberts with a low blow before she walks off with Rick Martel. How will this play into the Last Man Standing match between Rick Martel and Jake Roberts at WrestleMania? Keep tuned in to find out.]

Match #5

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/TullyBlanchard.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/BobbyHeenan1.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/VS.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/JimmySnuka1.jpg

Tully Blanchard vs. Jimmy Snuka

[in a match that had some good action but not much in the way of heat, Tully Blanchard defeated Jimmy Snuka in 8:23 by pinfall with a Slingshot Suplex.]

Winner: Tully Blanchard (Via Pinfall @ 8:23)

Match Rating: C

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/BigBossman.jpg

[A big win tonight for the newest member of The Heenan Family: Tully Blanchard. Blanchard stands up and begins putting the boots to Snuka. Bobby Heenan directs traffic in the ring, moving between Blanchard and referee Earl Hebner. Blanchard hits a second Slingshot Suplex on Snuka. As Blanchard seems ready to continue his assault, 'Servin' Hard Time' begins to play and out from the back comes Big Boss Man! Boss Man has a nightstick in his right hand and slides inside the ring under the bottom rope. Blanchard sees him and goes for a clothesline but Boss Man ducks and then catches Blanchard with a spinebuster! Boss Man raises up and looks toward Heenan. Heenan begs off, stepping back against the ropes. Boss Man seems like he is finally going to get his hands on The Brain! Tully Blanchard pulls himself up behind Boss Man. He moves in to attack Boss Man but instead gets struck with the night stick! The distraction allows Heenan to exit the ring. Boss Man strikes Blanchard across the head with the night stick, sending him down to the mat. Blanchard quickly rolls out of the ring. He is helped to keep standing by Bobby Heenan and stares down Boss Man as Boss Man reigns supreme in the ring. The show comes to an end with Boss Man twirling the night stick in the ring and staring down Tully Blanchard and Bobby Heenan.]

WCW SATURDAY NIGHT

Filmed on Thursday 11 March 1991 in Puerto Rico (5,000)

Aired on Saturday 13 March 1991 on TBS (1.07
[DOWN 0.02]
)

Announcers:
Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone & Dusty Rhodes

<hr>
http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Angles/DustyRhodes.jpg

Opening the show once again was authority figure, and WCW Executive
Dusty Rhodes
. Revealing that the main event of the night would be Sting and Larry Zbyszko in a non-title match, Rhodes did a great job of warming up the crowd for the start of the show. But Dusty wasn't finished there, as the Executive announced that next week's main event would see Lex Luger take on Barry Windham in Windham's home state of Texas!

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Matches/ElGigante.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Matches/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Matches/BuddyLandel.jpg

The opening match of the night might not have been a classic, but it was another good victory for WCW's biggest athlete.
El Gigante vs Buddy Landel
wasn't as one-sided as some of Gigante's matches this year, but Landel didn't present a real worry to the big man either. A
Clawhold
at 5:28 was enough to end this short contest in favour of the big Argentinian.
[D]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Angles/BarryWindham.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Angles/LarryZbyszko.jpg

The action then cut backstage where an unusual “candid camera” style segment caught
Barry Windham
talking to
Larry Zbyszko
. Unaware that they were being filmed, Windham suggested to Zbyszko that a victory over Sting would go a long way to proving to Windham and his “buddies” that the “Living Legend” would be as useful as he said he would be. The meaning was clear, but would Zbyszko be able prove to the Horsemen he could get the job done!?

While the first bout of Saturday Night was a little forgettable, the second was a much more competitive affair.
Dr X & Dutch Mantel vs The Steiner Brothers
in a Non-Title match was a better match than expected, no doubt thanks to the efforts of Dr X and Mantel who showed that despite their lack of tag team experience they were just as dangerous as a duo that had spent years teaming together. The Steiners were caught off-guard to start with, but soon rallied and a
Steinerizer
at 7:02 ended this match in the favour of the US Tag Team title holders.

It is a match that has been on the cards for a couple of months, and as a result the feud between
The Steiner Brothers and the Fabulous Freebirds
has grown more and more bitter as the weeks roll by. Having seen weeks of promos, post-match attacks and brawls, it was no surprise for the Puerto Rican fans to see the Freebirds walk out following the bell. However, this time there was no attack and no talking, simply a staredown from the ring to the outside. The message was clear – this rivalry had moved past animosity well into hatred. The Supercard title match between these two teams is just two weeks away – but will they be able to wait that long!?

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Angles/RicFlair.jpg

Backstage,
Ric Flair
cut a promo about his upcoming Supercard match with Tatsumi Fujinami for the NJPW Heavyweight Championship. Flair said that he's a star wherever he goes and that the “Nature Boy” has wrestled in front of millions on all four corners of the globe. Flair said that having the New Japan champion come to Supercard may be a big event for World Championship Wrestling, it might be a big event for Fujinami, but for the jet-flying, limo-riding, son-of-a-gun Ric Flair it would just be another day in the office and another title to add to the collection....woooo!

Arn Anderson © vs Junkyard Dog
for the
WCW World Television title
was a solid match that showcased the talents of both men well. JYD might have been defeated by Larry Zbyszko at WrestleWar 1991 but he has bounced back quickly to earn this shot at Anderson's title. Anderson, meanwhile, had only one defence prior to this match since winning the belt back from Z-Man earlier this year. JYD was the man who took the early momentum, using his power to wear down the more technically-minded Horseman. However, Anderson isn't just technically-minded, he is experienced and he is wiley and the champion soon turned the tide of the match. In the end a
Spinebuster
at 6:32 brought an entertaining bout to a close, giving Anderson defence number 2 of his latest WCW World Television title reign.

In a short backstage promo,
Kevin Sullivan
hyped
One Man Gang
as the next “big man” legend in professional wrestling. Suggesting that it would be OMG, not El Gigante, not Dan Spivey, and not Vader, that would prove that in professional wrestling size did matter. Suggesting that the United States title was in his sights, Sullivan said that once OMG had put the Junkyard Dog out of his misery there would be no stopping him!
[C+]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Angles/LexLuger.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Angles/DaveyBoySmith.jpg

With a tag team match just moments away, as the teams made their way to the ring the magic of split-screen meant that one tandem, that of
Lex Luger and Davey Boy Smith
, could cut a short promo about the match. Luger and Smith said that since the beginning of the year Stan Hansen and Dan Spivey had done their best to undermine the traditions of wrestling, the prestige of the United States Heavyweight title and the honour of World Championship Wrestling. The duo said that tonight the tide would turn, and that from here on it was going to be Davey Boy Smith and Lex Luger doing the chasing and they'd be far more dangerous as challengers than Hansen and Spivey can handle!
[C+]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Matches/DaveyBoySmith.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Matches/LexLuger.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Matches/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Matches/DanSpivey.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Matches/StanHansen.jpg

With that promo behind them, it was clear that Smith and Luger were going to really take this match to their opponents. The result was a superb encounter as
Davey Boy Smith & Lex Luger vs Dan Spivey & Stan Hansen
raged back-and-forth for over ten minutes. There was no shortage of animosity between these two teams and while Spivey & Hansen have more experience teaming together, Smith and Luger found themselves to be natural tag team partners. Spivey got the first near-fall early in the match, while Luger twice came close to victory over his opponents. Stan Hansen even celebrated the victory after he felt a two-and-a-half count on Davey Boy should have been three. In the end however, it was the Englishman who triumphed after a
Running Powerslam
on Hansen, the man he has promised to take down at Supercard, at 10:23 secured the three count and Smith's first win in WCW.
[b-]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Matches/Sting.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Matches/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Matches/LarryZbyszko.jpg

If the semi-main event tag team match was great, then the main event Non-Title match was an absolute classic. Worthy of any pay-per-view, for any company,
Sting vs Larry Zbyszko
was a real wrestling showcase that featured two top talents in a sixteen minute masterpiece. Hold and counterhold combined with moments of brawling and even the occasional aerial attack as both men struggled to gain the upperhand. As it was, it was the Stinger who would triumph, but perhaps not in the way he had hoped. Having gained control around the thirteen minute mark, Sting finally got into position for the
Scorpion Death Lock
, but we'll never know if Larry was about to tap out as the big Russian Nikita Koloff rushed to the ring to take the decision from his hands. Hitting a huge
Lariat
on the Stinger, Koloff may just have brought forward the inevitable victory for Sting but he ensured that it wasn't a comfortable victory for the WCW World Heavyweight champion as the referee called for the bell!
[b+]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Angles/Sting.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Angles/NikitaKoloff.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Angles/RickRude.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Angles/BrianPillman.jpg

While Sting was knocked to the ground as the bell rang, he wasn't out and having been on the receiving end of his fair share of post-match attacks recently the Stinger was ready and jumped to his feet to engage in a slugfest with Koloff. Even Rick Rude's appearance at ringside couldn't tip the odds against the WCW World Heavyweight champion as the "Ravishing One" was flattened from behind by Sting's ally Brian Pillman before Rude could hit the ring. The result was a four man brawl - short but entertaining - and WCW Saturday Night left the air with the fun police rushing down to ringside!

WCW MAIN EVENT

Filmed on Thursday 11 March 1991 in Puerto Rico (5,000)

Aired on Sunday 14 March 1991 on TBS (0.08 [-] )

Announcers:
Jim Ross, Tony Schiavone & Dusty Rhodes

The Destruction Crew
came extremely close to winning the WCW World Tag Team titles from Doom at WrestleWar 1991, but Ron Simmons and Butch Reed came out victorious with the help of Teddy Long. The Destruction Crew revealed that the WCW World Tag Team titles weren't on the line at the Supercard, but did say they'd be challenging for the belts the following week on Saturday Night in a Steel Cage match!

Kevin Sullivan vs Owen Hart
was a superb wrestling encounter that would have been better placed as the main event rather than the opening. Owen has been in some excellent matches of late and that continued here even if he was once again on the losing side. Sullivan's
Devil Stomp
at 7:03 brought the contest to a close.

If the first match was good, then the second match of the night was far from it.
Steve Austin vs Tommy Rich
might have featured two tough southern wrestlers but the match itself was definitely lacking. Still, that won't bother Austin who bagged another “Stunning” victory at 5:03.

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Angles/Z-Man.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Angles/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Angles/ElCubano.jpg

As a semi-main event
Z-Man vs El Cubano
probably sat just where it was meant to be. Neither as exciting as the opening encounter nor as drab as the second, this was a mediocre contest featuring two wrestlers that may well be described as mediocre themselves by WCW fans. El Cubano fought hard early on but Z-Man's constant attacks eventually wore him down, and a
Flying Crossbody
at 6:48 ended this one in Zenk's favour.
[D]

In her standard Hotline Corner segment,
Missy Hyatt
talked about the possibility of Nikita Koloff feuding with Lex Luger in an old-school Russia vs USA feud, before discussing whether Larry Zbyszko's DQ defeat to Sting on Saturday Night would hurt his chances of joining the Horsemen. As always, Hyatt was vague enough that if you wanted to know the real inside information on WCW, giving the Hotline a call was the only thing to do!

The main event was far from a classic, but
Lex Luger & Junkyard Dog vs The Master Blasters
did give Luger and Dog an invaluable victory as we edge ever closer to the Supercard. While the match lasted until 10:01, this was far from an even contest and Luger and JYD controlled much of the proceedings. A
Running Forearm Smash
from Luger was enough to put down Steel for the three count.

In a pre-recorded segment,
Scott and Rick Steiner
cut a promo about the Fabulous Freebirds and their upcoming match at the Supercard for the WCW United States Tag Team Championship. PREDICTION CONTESTS

jhd1 and I have decided to split the prediction contests into two, so there will be two eligible prizes at the end: one for WWF and one for WCW. The prediction contests will run from our first shows until the end of March in the game. The prizes have yet to be determined for either side. A single win is given each time a person scores the most predictions right in a given show. The most wins at the end of March is declared the winner in each category.

This week's winners in the WWF Category are: Beejus, smwilliams and LordofGustav!

World Wrestling Federation

-The World Wrestling Federation is airing live from Arizona as we close in on the grandaddy of them all, Wrestlemania! There won't be a spare seat in the house as 14,000 plus get set for a happening in the WWF - but, as always, the show will also be live and loud on the USA Network!

-This week's main event is said to be a secret heading into the show, with not even the roster aware who will be main eventing. Ted DiBiase is scheduled to open the show in what will surely be the match announcement, but the Million Dollar Man also has an announcement he calls a "game changer". The Million Dollar Man is said to be a man of his word - most of the time at least - and he's certainly a big thinker, so whatever he has in store is sure to be huge.

-While the main event is a mystery, the semi-main isn't as The Undertaker takes on "Superfly" Jimmy Snuka in what is being billed as a clash of two generations. Will the 47 year-old Snuka be able to match the ageless Deadman?

-The Rock 'n' Roll Express are one of wrestling's greatest tag teams and they will be making their first appearance on Prime Time Wrestling when they hit the Arizona Veterans Coliseum to take on the team of Bob Bradley & Iron Mike Sharpe.

-Meanwhile, Kerry Von Erich will be in the building as he looks to create his own legacy as the Modern Day Warrior, Lou Albano will be our guest commentator and Haku and The Barbarian will square off with the LOD. Catch all this and much, much more on WWF Prime Time Wrestling!

World Championship Wrestling

-WCW Saturday Night is set to air just hours before the televised Supercard special, and it's a show that is guaranteed to get everyone geared up for a night of terrific wrestling. This pre-taped show was filmed in Texas just days before it hit the air, and with the Supercard closely followed how will this episode impact the biggest wrestling event of March 1991?

-Last week Dusty Rhodes announced that Lex Luger and Barry Windham would square off in what is bound to be a hard-fought battle in our main event. Barry Windham, a native of Sweetwater, TX, has the home advantage but Lex Luger will feel at home everywhere he goes thanks to the support of the fans.

-It was suggested to Larry Zbyszko that a victory over Sting last week might have earned him a spot in the Four Horsemen. He failed thanks to interference from Nikita Koloff and appears to have been given a second chance when he takes on the son of Dusty Rhodes - a permanent Horsemen enemy - in the form of "The Natural" Dustin Rhodes. Will the "Living Legend" triumph, and will it matter to Ric Flair and co?

-Harley Race has big plans for Big Van Vader but if he's going to get to the likes of Lex Luger and Sting then he'll need to get through Big Josh first. Will Vader follow in the footsteps of his mentor, or stumble at his first real hurdle?

-Elsewhere on the show, The Steiner Brothers take on The State Patrol, Dan Spivey wrestles Owen Hart and Sting will cut a promo about his match with "Ravishing" Rick Rude. More surprises are ahead and on tap for WCW Saturday Night so make sure you are tuned in at 6:05 PM EST!

Animal strikes Haku with a leaping shoulder block and then with a military press slam that sends him right into The Barbarian and both of them off the apron to the outside of the ring. He says that Blanchard is going to make Bossman wish he was back working the malls. He also throws in a joke about Bossman's mother, saying that she is so fat that she has to be taken around on a bulldozer wherever she wants to go. Then the attention turns to the Intercontinental title match between Mr. Perfect and Ricky Steamboat. Heenan says that Steamboat got a small taste of what WrestleMania will be like for him at Prime Time Wrestling. He tells Steamboat that if he ever forgets what the lights in an arena look like, Mr. Perfect will be happy to show them to him at WrestleMania. He says that he has the Perfect Intercontinental Champion and that is not going to change for a man who calls himself a Dragon. Sorry for anyone thinking this has been updated, but I just wanted to apologise for the delay in posting the show. I've had a variety of real life holdups, and now on top of that I'm having computer issues all of which has kept me from writing as much as I would like!

The diary will carry on as soon as possible - and as angel has said elsewhere we've both got long-term plans for the game - but there may continue to be a delay on my WCW show being posted for at least several more days :)

I can definitely second what my friend and diary writing partner jhd1 is saying about the long-term plans. I am really looking forward to certain aspects of this diary. But, during the interim, I do invite my readers to check out my new(ish) WWE 2014 diary that is located here. During the time between things, I will definitely be giving that diary a little more focus. But we both ask that you stick with us because we both have a lot more story to tell.

The opening match of the night was an exciting tag team contest featuring two experienced duos.
The State Patrol vs The Steiner Brothers
may have been a little on the predictable side but that didn't stop the match from being a good display of wrestling. Unsurprisingly the US Tag Team champions, Rick and Scott Steiner, were in the driver's seat for much of the contest and when Sgt Buddy Lee Parker was hit with a
Steinerizer
at 7:28 this one was all over.

Having secured themselves the victory,
The Steiner Brothers
took the time to quickly taunt the Fabulous Freebirds. With a match against the team of Garvin and Hayes set for the Supercard, airing just after Saturday Night, their promo had all the fire and passion you would expect before a title match. Needless to say, Rick and Scott were confident in their ability to retain the United States Tag Team titles and promised to dump the Freebirds back on Badstreet personally after the match was done!

Dan Spivey doesn't have a match lined up for the Supercard, although he is expected to be in the corner of his ally Stan Hansen for the WCW US title match. As such
Dan Spivey vs Owen Hart
didn't have quite the same punch as the opening bout with no momentum as such to fight for. Once again Owen fought well, but unsurprisingly it was “Dangerous” Dan that came out on top after a
Spivey Spike
at 6:15 was enough to secure him the three count.

Backstage,
Sting
cut a short interview with
Gordon Solie
ahead of his match with Rick Rude for the WCW World title at the Supercard. Sting went through the usual motions of a pre-match promo, but with a twist – Sting revealed for the first time that his match with Rick Rude had been given a stipulation. Dusty Rhodes had decreed that the World title match would not be disrupted by Paul E Dangerously and it wouldn't be disrupted by Nikita Koloff. Sting vs Rick Rude would be for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship and it would also be...a Steel Cage match!

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Matches/Vader.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Matches/VS.jpghttp://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Matches/BigJosh.jpg

Vader vs Big Josh
was, amazingly, the match of the show. Two strong athletes met in a ten minute “slobberknocker” (as Jim Ross described it) and, for the first time since Vader joined WCW he was pushed to the limit. With Harley Race at ringside cheering on the masked man it was no surprise to see him start the stronger of the two, but Big Josh soon fought back. From there the action raged back and forth but it was the big Vader that eventually triumphed thanks to his superior power, and his ruthlessness. A
Vader Bomb
at 9:09 was enough to bring this excellent contest to a close.
[b-]

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Angles/HarleyRace.jpg

After the match the “Greatest Wrestler On God's Green Earth”
Harley Race
grabbed a microphone and proceeded to tell everyone and anyone just how big he thought his monstrous client Vader was going to be. Race stopped short of suggesting Vader could replicate his own achievements, but seemed in no doubt that the masked mastadon was going to become WCW World Heavyweight champion sooner rather than later!

Larry Zbyszko vs Dustin Rhodes
was an unusual match. Featuring a potential new Horseman against the son of arguably the Horseman's oldest rival in Dustin Rhodes, there were more layers of intrigue to this match than a typical midcard bout. Dustin has clearly taken on the skills of his father and his wrestling was more than a match for Zbyszko early on. However, the “Living Legend” was desperate to earn a victory having lost out on his Horseman “trial” last week against Sting. As a result, Zbyszko was willing to do anything to earn the victory and after some blatant cheating locked in the
LarryLand Dreamer
at 8:53 for the victory.

http://i754.photobucket.com/albums/xx181/jhdTEW/Diaries/WCW%20Joint/Angles/DaveyBoySmith.jpg

In a pre-recorded segment, British wrestler
Davey Boy Smith
cut a promo about his match with Stan Hansen on the upcoming Supercard show. Davey Boy promised to not only win the US title for the fans of WCW, and for his fans back at home in England, but also to put right the wrongs he felt Stan Hansen had given Lex Luger. Davey Boy said that his match with Stan Hansen was the biggest in his short WCW career, but promised to ensure that it would be the first title match of many more to come!

In a short backstage segment,
Paul E Dangerously
stood flanked by
Nikita Koloff and Rick Rude
. The Dangerous Alliance as they are now known seemed indifferent to Sting's announcement that Rude's title shot would take place inside of a steel cage. Instead, Dangerously said that the stipulation had worked exactly as the duo had planned. Koloff and Rude said that four steel walls wouldn't just keep people out, it would keep Sting in and that was exactly the way Rick Rude wanted the match to go! Don't miss the Supercard, the trio said – history would be made!

The main event was designed to be a crowd pleaser heading into the Supercard later this evening, but
Barry Windham vs Lex Luger
didn't quite have the edge WCW had clearly intended when booking the show in Windham's home state of Texas. Somewhat plodding and without much in the way of polish from Luger, this was a decent enough match without ever becoming memorable. Notably in the absence of the other Horsemen, this was a straight up singles contest that had little to string together the reasoning behind the matches, particularly with only Luger scheduled to wrestle in the Supercard.

After a sixteen minute contest that last just a little too long, Luger triumphed after connecting with a
Running Forearm Smash
that secured him the three count and the victory.

In a backstage promo,
Ric Flair
and long-time ally
Arn Anderson
taunted Tatsumi Fujinami – the NJPW Heavyweight champion, and Ric Flair's opponent for the Supercard. Flair said that Fujinami might be a champion in Japan, but when he comes to the United States he enters Horseman country and that there's nothing like it on the planet...wooo! Flair said that when he became the champion of Japan, it'd just be another excuse for the Four Horsemen to fill up the Leer jet because, unlike Tatsumi Fujinami, Ric Flair has been to the centre of the galaxy and back, and he won every match on the way!

This episode of Saturday Night came to a close with a short vignette hyping the upcoming televised Supercard. Focusing heavily on the double main event of Rick Rude vs Sting and Ric Flair vs Tatsumi Fujinami, the video package also took the time to hype the other matches on the card, including Davey Boy Smith vs US champion Stan Hansen and The Steiners taking on the Freebirds for the United States Tag Team titles. Of course, with the show airing later on the same night, there was no need to even change the channel!

World Championship Wrestling

-It's time for another television special for World Championship Wrestling; live from Houston, TX comes the March Supercard!

-As ever, the main event is set to be a match that will be talked about for years as Rick Rude finally gets his shot at WCW World Heavyweight champion Sting. With the Championship on the line, this is set to be a tense affair - and it has been made all the more dangerous thanks to the explosive announcement on Saturday Night that the match would take place inside of a steel cage. The cage might keep Paul E Dangerously and Nikita Koloff from interfering, but it was also keep Sting locked in the match with Rick Rude. Who will walk out of Houston with the belt around his waist?

-Davey Boy Smith has not entered World Championship Wrestling quietly, as the British Bulldog has already made his mark on the United States Heavyweight title. Now, just weeks after his first appearance in the company he will get the chance to win that very belt when he takes on the tough brawling veteran Stan Hansen. It's Texas vs Manchester and it's sure to be a classic!

-WCW is pretty unique in having two tag team championships, and with Doom taking the night off it is the turn of The Steiner Brothers to put their belts on the line. They'll defend their United States Tag Team Championship belts against The Fabulous Freebirds in a match that has been brewing since the start of the year. Will it be back to Badstreet for the Freebirds, or will Hayes and Garvin be flying back with the titles?

-The second headline match of the show is set to be a historic clash between arguably the greatest wrestler to have ever stepped foot in an American wrestling ring (although he'd argue in ANY wrestling ring), Ric Flair, and the current "man to beat" in Japanese wrestling, Tatsumi Fujinami. This is Flair's first opportunity to win the prestigious IWGP World Heavyweight Championship - will he be adding yet another golden idol to his collection, or will Fujinami get the upset of a lifetime?

-Elsewhere on the show, Lex Luger will take on Nikita Koloff, One Man Gang wrestles Junkyard Dog and Bobby Eaton will square off with Michael Wallstreet of the York Foundation. This is World Championship Wrestling, this TBS, this is a night of wrestling you surely can't miss!

One Man Gang vs Junkyard Dog

Comments: Dog just seems like such a placeholder person. OMG goes over to move into a bigger feud.

WCW United States Tag Team Title Match

The Fabulous Freebirds vs The Steiner Brothers ©

Comments: I go with the Birds just to get the US Tag belts off the Steiners, so they can bump into World contention.

WCW United States Heavyweight Title Match

Stan Hansen © vs Davey Boy Smith

Comments: Having just won the belt, I don't see Stan dropping it at the first gate.

IWGP World Heavyweight Title Match

Ric Flair vs Tatsumi Fujinami ©

Comments: I'll go with Flair by DQ/countout, so that this title doesn't change.

Steel Cage Match For The WCW World Heavyweight Title

Rick Rude vs Sting ©

Comments: Sting retains here, because a good face at the top for a little longer will be good when there's all these top heels to defend against.

An OOC Note:

I just wanted to let everyone know that this diary is still moving forward and far from dead. jhd1 has had some personal issues plus he is working on finishing up the Thunderverse mod. So that is taking up a lot of his time, as well. However, we should soon be up and running again. So make sure you get your predictions in for the March Supercard, featuring matches like Ric Flair versus Tatsumi Fujinami and Sting defending the WCW World Heavyweight title against Ravishing Rick Rude!
