CM Punk

http://i.imgur.com/Z2bZDmP.jpg

A veteran of all styles of wrestling, CM Punk has wrestled and made a name for himself all over the world. Beginning his career in 1999, he debuted in companies such as OVW and IWA where he quickly won the IWA tag titles with Tyson Tomko in only his fourth match ever. In his second match, CM Punk also gained the WLW Tag Team titles, this time with Skull. However, Punk was able to get out of tag team wrestling and make a name for himself on the independent scene as he had great matches everywhere he went. In March 2001, he wrestled in Japan for the first time as he toured with All Japan Pro Wrestling which taught him many things, and most importantly gave the young Punk experience for the life he would later live. During his first tour, Punk wrestled future Japanese stars such as KENTA and Terry Gordy. Returning the following year in 2002, Punk's stock rose even more as he stepped into the ring with established veterans such as Chris Benoit and Jerry Saggs. While Punk was becoming a Japanese star, he continued to wrestle in America, winning many titles in NWA Wildside and NWA SL.

In the beginning of 2003, Punk signed his very first contract with Pro Wrestling NOAH, a company that was quickly growing into one of the biggest in Japan. Winning his debut match, Punk's popularity quickly grew, as at the end of the year he was challenging former GHC champion Bret Hart. Winning his first title in NOAH in January 2004 with Kazuyuki Fujita as the tag team champion, the duo held onto the belts until Punk's touring contract ran out in April 2004. It seemed like Punk was destined for the main event at this point as he kept gaining wins and increasing his credibility to the Japanese audience.

At the end of 2005, CM Punk signed a contract with the World Wrestling Federation, making his American television debut in January 2006. Unfortunately, Punk's performances were quite lack luster, although he did wrestle his future rival Edge on several occasions in the WWF. After less than a year, Punk was released from his WWF contract in August 2006.

Continuing his journey, Punk quickly signed a touring contract with All Japan Pro Wrestling where his credibility increased even more. Having incredible matches with the likes of Kenta Kobashi, Shawn Michaels, even Ric Flair, Punk's stardom was growing even more until for the second time, he signed a deal with the WWF. This marked his final appearance with AJPW in February 2007.

Over the next few years, Punk was often used as enhancement talent for WWF stars. More often than not, he came out on the losing end in his matches. In his final WWF match before the company was forced into bankruptcy in March 2009, Punk was defeated by Edge. The two seemed to have great chemistry, showing the future greatness to come..

Making his Japan return just a few months later in August, Punk was an excellent worker as he took on all comers. Picking up lots of wins, CM Punk was on a roll as he challenged Mark Henry for the GHC Championship in November 2009. While Henry retained the title against Punk, it opened a lot of eyes for both men. Henry was always viewed as an average worker, while Punk was still building up his fan base. The match between Henry and Punk was a near five star one, and Punk would eventually get his win back over Henry later in the year even though it was not for the title.

Before he would return back to NOAH in 2010 for the next tour, Punk spent two months wrestling for Michinoku Pro Wrestling. There, Punk was very rarely beaten as he picked up wins over Japanese veterans like Great Sasuke and Hiroyshi Tenzan. Not only that, but Punk was having better matches than ever when he returned to NOAH once again in August 2010. Becoming a major challenger for Hiroshi Tanahashi's GHC Title, he unsuccessfully challenged for the title four times until finally winning the title from Tanahashi in December 2010. After winning that match, Punk had finally cemented his legacy after winning his first true World Championship in the industry. Leaving the company once again following the end of the tour in December 2010, Punk was stripped of his world title after holding it for only about three weeks. Taking an eight month break from the wrestling business, CM Punk would return in August 2011 as he looked to regain the title he never lost.

One of the most popular superstars in Japanese wrestling, CM Punk scratched and clawed his way back to the world title scene, challenging multiple champions, including Tanahashi once again, and Minoru Tanaka. While Punk was very close to winning the title on those occasions, it wasn't enough as Punk never again became World Champion. In the final month of his NOAH career, Punk was having some of the greatest matches of his wrestling career as he wrestled Edge, and later teamed with Minoru Tanaka against Paul Wight and Edge. Winning his final NOAH match, Punk will never be forgotten by the Japanese wrestling fans.

After he once again departed NOAH, Punk decided to be closer to home as he signed a contract with TNA. Just like in the WWF, Punk was mainly used as enhancement talent despite proving himself multiple times in Japan. If Punk were to eventually walk out on the company and return to his Japanese roots, who could blame him? While Punk is definitely growing in age, he is clearly being held down by the company. Still a superb worker, Punk could be an excellent asset for any company around the world, even Ring of Honor who treated fellow Japanese star Nigel McGuinness very well. Like Punk, McGuinness was an unknown in America when he signed his ROH contract, but through excellent booking, Nigel quickly became a main eventer for the company. Whether Punk returns to NOAH, signs with Ring of Honor or even ECW, or resigns with TNA, he is for sure one of the greatest performers of all time who never got his due in the United States. As Punk has been wrestling non stop without a break for seventeen years now, his career could be winding down as his body breaks down from his high risk style. But right now, Punk remains one of the greatest workers in the world.

Does the save include the pic pack?

No, but you can find it here

Can you do career bios for Cena,Eddie Guerrero and Benoit?

Cena's probably going to be a no because he's spent most of his career as a jobber in TNA. Guerrero and Benoit maybe, but there's not much of a point anymore now that I've got the save out

In the database there is an option Edit Database -> Database Info where you set a date, that is the first date at which those kinds of new workers can be generated. In a SaveGame there is the same option in Options -> New Worker Frequency where you also have to make sure the date will allow new workers to be generated. :) You should then get new randomly generated workers being generated every two months, with the highest setting giving you up to 6 (I think) per game region (USA, Canada, etc). :)

  • 4 weeks later...

I just finished simming 15 years of a game. September 2015 to September 2030.

WWE has firmly stayed in the number 1 spot, although a few companies have risen to the challenge to try and take on WWE like PWG & EVOLVE, spearheaded by the returning CM Punk, but both companies fell prey to financial troubles, but not before reaching the international level.

ROH and Lucha Underground both gained some heavy steam and jockeyed for position in the Top 5 before a lack of funds dragged them under.

TNA has held fast in it's number 2 spot, with a fresh crop of young main event talent like Drew Galloway, Uhaa Nation and Jesse White (Vader's Son).

And now WSU, CHIKARA and GFW are on the rise, battling for the number 3 spot in America.

And NXT was riding high with a lot of uber-talented wrestlers on it's roster, and all of its titles reaching 100 prestige, NXT even holding it's own as Number 5 company in the world for a long while, but as more wrestlers where called up to the main roster, NXT slipped further down the rankings, to being practically non-consequential at this point.

The Japan scene has been a game of constant one-upsmanship between NJPW and Dragon Gate, both churning out amazing wrestler and matches.

The British wrestling scene has pretty much remained even with ICW holding out the top spot.

And in Mexico, CMLL has pretty much obliterated the competition, driving AAA out of business.

  • 5 weeks later...

I stopped at 35 years into the 1987 watcher. I have a bunch of saves from different years, but do you guys want me to upload them? The most up to date save will not be very playable because no regens were made, but it would still be interesting to look at the events. I'll make a summary of what happened later either way

Edit:

Like usual, if there's anything specific that you want me to tell you about (workers, companies, titles etc) let me know.
