Ryback vs. Cesaro

Comments: Cesaro is just a bigger deal.

WWE United States Title Match

Sheamus defends vs. Rusev

Comments: What reason does Sheamus have to hang onto the belt? It can really help put Rusev over to pick up a win here and net him his first WWE gold.

The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler

Comments: Could be a Jericho distraction to give Miz a win.

Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston

Comments: Orton always beats Kofi.

Fun Fan Signs:

FEED HIM S'MORES

Comments On Previous Show: I don't feel that Punk is as gone as that promo would lead a person to believe. The Sting/Roman segment really stood out to me.

TNA DESTINATION X RESULTS!

SUNDAY WEEK 2 JULY 2014

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/Impact.jpg

TNA's next pay-per-view, Destination X, emanates from American Bank Center in Corpus Christi, Texas. The show begins with two matches that serve to get the crowd fired up as the team of Garrett Bischoff and Ethan Carter III defeat the Menagerie team of Knux and Crazzy Steve and DJ Zema Ion defeats Rockstar Spud, bringing DJ Z in as a face on that match. We have a backstage segment where we see the debut of The Million Dollar Man Ted DiBiase Sr. He is seen backstage talking with Mr. Anderson. Could the two of them be looking to get together as a unit?

It's Knockouts time as Brooke Tessmacher makes her TNA return to defeat Brittany. Brittany once started as a hot wrestler but seems to be lowering down the Knockouts totem pole. Continuing with the Knockouts, Christy Hemme is seen backstage talking to Bully Ray. They discuss Bully's upcoming match with Willow tonight. The TNA World Tag Team titles are on the line as The American Wolves take on the team of Tigre Uno and Bram. The match is a wild brawl that nearly sees the makeshift team of Uno and Bram take the belts. But it's Eddie Edwards striking with a double foot stomp on Tigre Uno that takes the victory for the Wolves.

We move from the ring to the backstage area where a fight has broken out between Bobby Roode and M.V.P. Roode slams M.V.P. up against a wall and looks set to send him through a table before the fun police arrive to break things up between these two rivals. Our next two matches seem to continue the heel run of things as Jessie defeats Sanada in a bathroom break match and Rhino defeats The Freak in a match of power versus power. It was the Gore that defeated The Freakbuster in that match.

Two more titles were on the line in our next two matches. In the first match, the new TNA X-Division Champion Kenny King takes on Austin Aries in a match for that X-Division title. The match goes back and forth with several near-falls. At one point, Aries thought he won the match following a 450 Splash. But the referee only got a two count. Aries argues with the official, leading to King rolling up Aries and using the ropes to score the victory. The second match is a Knockout title match as Angelina Love defends against the former member of The Beautiful People: Madison Rayne. Another solid match between the two Knockouts. The match ends when Velvet Sky sprays hairspray in the eyes of Rayne and Love follows that with a Botox Injection, scoring the pinfall and the successful defense.

Our final two matches were both matches that could be main events. The first one has Willow taking on Bully Ray. The two men go head-to-head in this contest with both men pulling out all the stops. Willow scores with a Twist of Fate to score a two count. Bully Ray comes back with a Samoan drop and a Bully Cutter. The referee gets bumped in the match leading to Bully Ray getting the table! Bully Ray power bombs Willow through the table and scores the three count to get a big win over Willow.

The main event is a match for the TNA World Heavyweight Championship as Bobby Lashley defends vs. Gunner. As anyone can imagine this match is very hard-hitting between both men. Lashley gains some momentum through the outside interference and distraction of M.V.P. But Gunner refuses to stay down for a three count. Gunner fights back as the crowd gets on his side. Gunner goes for the Gun Rack but Lashley drops behind him and brings him over in a German Suplex. Both men's shoulders are down on the mat but Lashley raises his just before the three count. The show ends with Lashley raising the TNA World Heavyweight title above his head in victory.

Ryback vs. Cesaro

Comments: I'd love to see another huge push for Ryback, but this isn't the time. Cesaro out-muscling the Big Guy looks good too.

WWE United States Title Match

Sheamus defends vs. Rusev

Comments: I don't think Sheamus is the first person to pin Rusev, but I also don't think Rusev takes the title here. I'm guessing DQ.

The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler

Comments: Ziggler for Champion!

Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston

Comments: Kofi isn't at the "beat Main Eventers" level yet, but someday maybe.

TNA IMPACT WRESTLING RESULTS!

THURSDAY WEEK 3 JULY 2014

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/Impact.jpg

The fall-out from TNA Destination X takes place in the Anchorage Football Stadium in Anchorage Alaska. What a show TNA has planned for everyone here tonight. The show begins with a match featuring the brand new tag team of Rhino and Kenny King, known as Standing Room Only. This power and speed tag team takes on the TNA World Tag Team champions The Wolves in a match that is definitely fast-paced. The crowd here in Alaska watch as what can only be called an upset occurs when Rhino strikes Eddie Edwards with a Gore and scores the pinfall victory. Following the opening match, we move backstage where an argument turns physical between Madison Rayne and Brooke Tessmacher. Both women believe they should be the top contenders to the Women's title. It takes the fun police to break these two up.

We move from the backstage area to the ring where Crazzy Steve comes out with his clown antics against the ultra-serious Samuel Shaw. Shaw is dominant in this match and brings Steve down to the mat with a rear chokehold, forcing Steve to pass out and giving Shaw the victory. From one match to another as the Knockouts are on display. Taryn Terrell teams with Brittany to face off against The Beautiful People. The Knockouts match is a little surprising in the intensity these beautiful Knockouts bring to the ring. A little miscommunication between Angelina Love and Velvet Sky leads to the Knockouts Champion Love being pinned by Taryn Terrell. This has to put Taryn in the top of the Knockouts ranking, right?

We go to the backstage area once again where Bully Ray is taunting Willow, talking about where he beat Willow at Destination X and saying that he could easily do it again any time he wanted. This leads to Willow striking Bully Ray with the umbrella and a brawl between these two men. Bully Ray makes an attempt to put Willow through a table but officials come in and break things up before the move can be completed. Our semi main event on Impact Wrestling features a newly heel turned Samoa Joe against the man known as The X Factor Bobby Roode. The match goes back and forth between these two great athletes. Roode has to get to the ropes to break a rear naked choke by Samoa Joe. The finish comes when Joe goes for the Muscle Buster but Roode breaks free and lifts Joe up -- Roode Bomb! He makes the cover and gets the three count.

Now we move to the main event where M.V.P. steps into the ring against a man we saw earlier tonight in Willow. M.V.P. takes advantage of the weakened Willow and is right on the attack again and again. Bully Ray comes down to ringside to 'scout' his rival. Willow manages to fight back and hits a Twist Of Fate on M.V.P. He heads to the top turnbuckle but Bully Ray steps up and pushes Willow off the turnbuckle as M.V.P. distracts the referee. M.V.P. quickly makes a cover but only scores a two count. The referee gets bumped and Bully Ray wraps his chain around his fist. M.V.P. grabs Willow from behind and Bully Ray winds up his fist -- but his punch hits M.V.P. when Willow ducked! Willow clotheslines a stunned Bully Ray over the top rope and then hits the Senton Bomb to score the victory tonight over M.V.P., celebrating his victory as the show comes to a close.

Comments On Previous Show: Enjoyed the Kozlov and Hurricane VS Rusev segment, as well as the Punk segment that he says goodbye to the WWE.

Glad that those segments really hit home here. I really enjoyed writing up The Hurricane segment with Rusev and Kozlov. An American Super Hero if I ever saw one! lol. I am also glad that the Punk segment rang true. My user character is Triple H in this game and he has a bad relationship with CM Punk so I was unable to re-sign him. But I wanted to give him one last final word.

Fun Fan Signs:

FEED HIM S'MORES

Comments On Previous Show: I don't feel that Punk is as gone as that promo would lead a person to believe. The Sting/Roman segment really stood out to me.

First of all, LOVE the sign, my friend. Makes me laugh. As said above, Punk refused to re-sign with the WWE due to his bad relationship with my user character Triple H (who I made owner, by the way). So I wanted to give him one last hurrah with the company. I am glad that the Sting/Roman segment has really stood out. I am enjoying writing that storyline as it moves forward. I have so many plans for that for the future.

Ryback vs. Cesaro

Comments: I'd love to see another huge push for Ryback, but this isn't the time. Cesaro out-muscling the Big Guy looks good too.

Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston

Comments: Kofi isn't at the "beat Main Eventers" level yet, but someday maybe.

Ryback is definitely someone who can get a push. There is a part of me that is possibly looking at moving Goldberg from out of the business and signing him so he can finally have that match with Ryback that everyone has been clamoring for. Okay, well, maybe it's just me that has been clamoring for it. lol.

I truly believe that Kofi Kingston is part of the future of the WWE. In my eyes, he is a future WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Whether he can live up to that potential in the game? We'll have to wait and see.

WWE FRIDAY NIGHT SMACKDOWN!

Friday Week 3 July 2014 (Taped Tuesday)

Location: CO Coors Event Center (Mid South)

Attendance: 10,740

Overall Rating: B+

TV Rating: 3.30

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/MichaelCole.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/JohnBradshawLayfield.jpg

[We are in the Coors Event Center in Boulder Colorado for this week's edition of WWE's Friday Night Smackdown! Michael Cole and John Layfield welcome everyone to the show only a few night's away from the Fargodome in North Dakota and WWE BattleGround! A sign goes up in the crowd as we pan around the capacity crowd here in Boulder: 'Victoria the She Devil!' What an event BattleGround will be but tonight is going to be amazing as well. We are going to see a United States title defense as Sheamus takes on the undefeated Rusev. Can the luck of the Irish hold out against a Russian Super-Athlete like Rusev? Or will we see a man hold the United States championship that has nothing but contempt for the United States? But that's not all! We're also going to see Randy Orton taking on the pride of West Ghana Africa Kofi Kingston! Will Orton lose momentum on the way toward BattleGround? Or will Kofi take another hard loss against a member of the Fatal Fourway as he did on Raw when he lost to John Cena? Speaking of which...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/JohnCena.jpg

[The crowd rises in a mixture of boos and cheers as out from the back comes the WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena! Cena stands at the top of the ramp, making his salute, before he runs down to the ring and slides inside. He raises the championship belt high in the air and then brings it back down as he is given a microphone. He declares that the champ is here on Smackdown! He says that when he returns to Smackdown one week from tonight he is going to be able to say the exact same thing because he might be going into BattleGround with the odds against him but the odds are always against him. He talks about the odds being against him when he wanted to become a professional wrestler. The odds were against him when he won his first WWE title. He says that he has always beaten the odds and will do the same this Sunday at BattleGround. Whether it's Randy Orton, Kane or even Roman Reigns that takes the fall, Cena says that he will not let his CeNation down this Sunday and that he will move forward as the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Cena's speech is interrupted by a look backstage and on the Titan-tron for the fans in the building. Cena tilts his head to the side as the backstage area is shown. The camera is directly in front of a dressing room. A knock is made by a member of the security team and the door opens to reveal...]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/ChrisJericho.jpg

[Chris Jericho? Jericho is all smiles as he exits the locker room and then bangs his head on the wall. He staggers a little bit but shakes it off and continues the walk backstage until he exits the curtain and comes out to a smirking John Cena as his music begins to play. Jericho walks right down to the ring and steps inside, looking across toward the WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Jericho gets on the microphone and welcomes everyone to Smackdown is Jericho! The man known as Y2J looks across at 'Jerky Cena' and reminds him that he was the first man to ever hold the undisputed World title. How did he do it? He beat Steve Austin AND The Rock in ONE night! That means that he proved that he's the best in the world during that one night. And he guarantees that nothing like it will ever EEEEEEEEEEVER happen again! Cena tells Jericho that he knows that he has a big mouth. But he wonders if Jericho can still back it up. He says that his dance card is empty tonight so how about John Cena versus Chris Jericho one on one in a non title match? Jericho tells Cena that's he on and that tonight he is going to prove he is better than the World Champion. Jericho tells Cena to enjoy holding the belt while he can because tonight he is going to break the code...on his face. The verbal confrontation remains verbal as Jericho exits the ring. What a match that was made here tonight!]

Match #1

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/Ryback.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_BR/VS.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/AntonioCesaro.jpg

Ryback vs. Cesaro

[Our opening contest on WWE Smackdown is a hard-hitting one as Ryback goes one on one with Cesaro. There are a few Ryback fans in the audience that begin the 'Feed Me More' chant early on during the match. The strong wrestler, Ryback, starts the match with the advantage, slamming Cesaro down with a spinebuster early on during the contest. Ryback is not the only wrestler with strength, though. Cesaro shows off his power during this match by holding Ryback in a vertical suplex position for fifteen seconds before bringing him down to the mat. Ryback gains control toward the end of the match and gets in the corner, preparing for the Meat Hook Clothesline as Cesaro is getting to his feet. A fan raises a sign in the crowd behind Ryback that reads: 'FEED HIM S'MORES!' When Cesaro stands, Ryback charges but Ryback takes a European Uppercut instead! Cesaro strikes with two more in succession to bring Ryback down and then he grabs the large man by the legs -- Cesaro Swing! The crowd counts along with the rotations until Cesaro finally releases, stumbling dizzily around the ring. Cesaro quickly moves in and picks up Ryback, setting him up -- Neutralizer! What strength to be able to get Ryback in that hold! Cesaro rolls him over and the pin is academic: One, Two, Three! The Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal Winner picks up the victory.]

Winner: Cesaro (Via Pinfall @ 7:35)

Match Rating: C+

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/BookerT.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/Sheamus.jpg

[From the ring we move backstage where Booker T is standing by with the WWE United States Champion Sheamus. Booker focuses the interview on Sheamus' match tonight with Rusev for his belt. Sheamus talks about how good America has been to him. He says that he is proud to be Irish but he is also proud to be the United States champion. He tells Rusev that if he hates America so badly then maybe he should be going home to Russia, fella. But make sure that you take this loss with you because tonight is the night that Rusev leaves the rank of the unbeaten. With that momentum, Sheamus promises that at BattleGround he will be uniting both the United States and Intercontinental titles into one United Continental title belt that no one will be able to take from him. He says that tonight the luck of the Irish is with him and tonight he will be walking away with a victory, fella.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/Natalya_alt.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/AJLee.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/Paige.jpg

[in another area backstage, Natalya is shown talking with the makeup artists and then sitting in front of the makeup mirror. As she prepares for the help, she gets some unintended help by one of her opponents at BattleGround: AJ Lee! AJ smiles into the mirror as she grabs a handful of Natalya's hair. Catching Natalya off-guard, AJ is able to smash Natalya's head into the makeup table and then throw her to the ground. AJ yells at Natalya that she will NOT take the title shot that AJ rightly earned! Natalya kicks at AJ to push her back but AJ mounts Natalya, throwing punches to the head. Instead of security breaking things up, it's the WWE Diva's Champion Paige who arrives on the scene and yanks AJ from the mounted position. Paige throws AJ backward and AJ screams as she gets back to her feet. Paige and AJ stand toe-to-toe with punches thrown by both Divas until security steps in to break things up. Natalya is slowly recovering and she tries to go back after AJ but security stays in between the Divas who will meet this Sunday at BattleGround for the WWE Diva's title.]

Match #2

WWE United States Title Match

Sheamus defends vs. Rusev

[Our second match of the night might be one of the most important for the USA as Sheamus defends the United States title against the unbeaten Rusev. The Irishman gets things going early in the bout as the crowd begins the USA chants. Lana covers her ears at ringside to drown out the loud chants. The chants have Sheamus going strong in the beginning, even knocking Rusev back into a corner. He catches Rusev with a flying knee smash and then brings him down with the Irish Curse Backbreaker. A fan raises a sign up in the background that reads: 'Go back to Bulgaria, Rusev!' Sheamus looks like he might simply run to victory when Lana climbs up on the apron and begins yelling curses at him. The distraction causes Sheamus to turn from a possible Brogue Kick to grabbing Lana by the hair! The crowd cheers, wanting to see Lana get her comeuppance, however, it was not to be on this night. The distraction allowed Rusev to recover and he moves in, striking Sheamus in the kidney and rib area. Rusev throws Sheamus to the ropes and brings him down with a body block. The Super-Athlete picks up Sheamus and drops him with a Samoan drop. The crowd boos and the USA chants rise up in the audience. Nearing the seven and a half minute mark, Rusev rolls Sheamus in an Oklahoma Roll that rises up into a release German Suplex! Rusev makes the cover and places his feet on the ropes for additional leverage: One, Two, Three! We have a new United States Champion!]

Winner: Rusev (Via Pinfall @ 7:33)

Match Rating: C

[Loud boos echo through the crowd as Rusev is announced as the new United States Champion! Sheamus looks upset at the loss and quickly exits the ring with his head down in shame. Lana enters the ring with the United States title belt and a microphone. As Lana and Rusev stand side-by-side in victory, a fan raises a sign that reads: 'Rusev Crush for US Champ!!!' Must be a Russian. Lana says that she would say that now the United States has a champion it can be proud of but that is not how this is going to work. She says that instead of being known as the United States title, this is going to be known as the Russian title. She says that has a much better ring to it than United States, after all. She talks about how happy the greatest leader of any country, Vladimir Putin, will be when Rusev presents this title belt at the feet of their great leader. After all, there is no wrestler here in the WWE that can defeat the Super Athlete. She says that the belt might as well be known as the Rusev International title. She thanks Rusev for bringing the belt to a Super Athlete. Then the two of them exit the ring to boos and USA chants.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/BookerT.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/ChrisJericho.jpg

[The former WCW Champion Booker T is backstage with the man known as Y2J Chris Jericho. Booker asks Jericho about his match tonight with John Cena but Jericho tells Booker that he didn't care for him in WCW or the WWE so why should he have any answers for Booker T right now? He tells him to beat it and then looks into the camera and tells John Cena that he should be worried right now. He says that if John Cena is even watching this, he is going to be facing tonight the Ayatollah of Rock and Roll-A! Tonight the greatest show-man that ever lived is going to step into that ring against the luckiest wrestler who ever lived. But that luck runs out tonight because tonight John Cena is going to be facing the new millennium in the WWE. When I win, this company will never EEEEEEEEEEEEEVER be the same again! Booker T, who remained where he was, finally walks off, leaving Jericho standing there looking ready for his match with John Cena tonight!]

The Miz vs. Dolph Ziggler

[Our next match right here on WWE Smackdown features two men who will be in the Intercontinental title battle royal this Sunday at BattleGround. Both are looking for some momentum heading into that match and that gives the match some extra heat. The match definitely features some great action as it goes back and forth between the two wrestlers. During the entrance, The Show-Off poses by a fan sign that reads: 'Ziggler vs Rick Rude, BOOK IT!!!' The Miz slows the momentum of Ziggler and gains control in the midway portion of the match. The Miz sends Ziggler into the corner and comes charging, hitting a swinging corner clothesline. The Miz smiles toward a booing audience. He focuses in on the right knee of Ziggler before finally locking on the Figure 4 Leglock. Ziggler shakes his head, refusing to submit. He wiggles toward the ropes while The Miz raises up on his hands to put more pressure on the hold. Ziggler is able to get to the ropes, causing the referee to break the hold. The Miz gets to his feet first and charges at Ziggler -- Big Boot -- Ducked! Ziggler trips The Miz to the mat and quickly gains some control. A little over the nine minute mark the finish comes when The Miz goes for the Skull Crushing Finale but Ziggler fights out. Ziggler moves in -- Zig Zag! Ziggler slides in to the cover, hooking the leg: One, Two, Three! Big win for Dolph Ziggler this week!]

Winner: Dolph Ziggler (Via Pinfall @ 9:20)

Match Rating: B-

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/JushinLyger.jpg

[A hype video begins to play, hyping the brand new Cruiserweight division and focusing on an international wrestler that will be in the tournament to determine the next Cruiserweight champion. This man is Jushin Liger! Highlights of his matches in WCW are focused on during this hype video, including matches with the late Brian Pillman. Liger is shown defeating Brian Pillman on Christmas day in 1991. He is shown facing several other wrestlers, including Dean Malenko, Rey Mysterio and Psicosis. The end of the hype video shows Liger hitting a Brainbuster and then a Liger Bomb. Coming Soon To The WWE!]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/RomanReigns.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/Sting_alt.jpg

[back around the ringside area, 'The Truth Reigns' begins to play and the crowd cheers as Roman Reigns comes down through the crowd. He leaps the barricade and moves into the ring where he stands in the center with a microphone. His eyes seem to be scanning the rafters for a moment before he begins to speak. He says that before he gets to why he is really here, he just wants to say that the next time you see him on Smackdown you will be looking at the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion. Believe that. Now he turns his focus to the man who confronted him on Raw. He says that he wants Sting to come out here and explain himself. Just what was going on last Monday night? The violin music begins to play and a spotlight shows up in the rafters where Sting is standing with black trenchcoat on and black baseball bat in hand. Reigns calls out Sting again and Sting finally makes his way down through the crowd. Sting leaps the barricade and climbs into the ring looking at Roman Reigns. The two men meet eyes for a moment and then Sting offers his right hand to Reigns! The crowd loudly cheers as Reigns looks down at the hand for a moment. Then Reigns accepts! Sting nods and turns, walking to leave the ring. He pauses, placing the bat down on the mat before he exits the ring and moves back through the crowd. Reigns begins to exit the ring, pausing to pick up the bat. Reigns moves through the crowd in the same way that Sting did, disappearing in the audience.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/ReneeYoung.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/SethRollins.jpg

[We go from the ringside area to the interview area backstage where Renee Young is with Mr. Money In The Bank Seth Rollins. Young begins by asking Rollins about his match with Dean Ambrose at BattleGround. Rollins scoffs, saying that Dean Ambrose is just a parasite that leaned on him during their time in the Shield. At BattleGround, he is going to make sure that he removes that parasite that is keeping him from his rightful place. He says that the rightful place is winning the WWE World Heavyweight Championship with this Money In The Bank briefcase. He warns Cena that he just might cash it in tonight if there is the opportunity. He says he will be nearby giving commentary to the match between Cena and Chris Jericho. Rollins warns John Cena to watch his back tonight.]

Randy Orton vs. Kofi Kingston

[Our semi main event is a match that could be a main event anywhere in the world. It features some great back and forth action between these two excellent athletes. Kingston shows a desperation in this match to pick up the win, scoring several near-falls with flash pinfalls but he cannot keep Orton down on the mat for a three count. Kingston goes for a SOS but Orton sits down and gains a two count. Orton takes control at this point and sends Kingston out of the ring. Orton joins him on the outside and whips Kingston into the barricade. Orton follows him in with a clothesline that sends Kingston over the barricade and into the first row! Orton pauses in front of a sign that reads: 'RK-BOOM!' He breaks the count and then grabs Kingston, pulling him over the barricade and sending him into the ring. Orton whips Kingston to the ropes -- snap powerslam! Orton makes the cover: One, Two, Kickout! Orton pulls up Kingston and tosses him to the apron, setting him up -- rope-hung DDT! Orton poses again to boos from the crowd. Orton drops down and begins pounding the mat with fists. The Viper watches as Kingston gets to his feet. Orton moves in -- RK -- NO! Kingston shoves Orton off -- Trouble In Paradise! Kingston looks down at Orton and then heads for the top turnbuckle slowly. He climbs up, looking down at Orton. He leaps -- RKO! Orton leaps up as Kingston leaps and drops him with a RKO! Orton makes the cover, hooking the leg: One, Two, Three!]

Winner: Randy Orton (Via Pinfall @ 12:51)

Match Rating: B

[Randy Orton scores the victory here tonight and he rises up to his feet, posing once again to a booing crowd. Orton does the 'belt' motion as he stands in the center of the ring and then something falls from the ceiling hitting the mat beside Orton. The attention turns to what it is -- a black baseball bat? Then another falls and another and another. The baseball bats come crashing from the ceiling to almost cover the ring and continue to hit Orton. The spotlight shines on the rafter where Sting used to be but there is no one there. Orton looks stunned and confused, covering his head to keep from getting knocked out by the falling baseball bats. Orton exits the ring and shakes his head, looking scared as he heads to the back.]

[The focus turns to the announcers Michael Cole and John Layfield. They begin hyping the pay-per-view this Sunday night called BattleGround. It will come from the Fargodome in Fargo, North Dakota! The pay-per-view lineup will feature Seth Rollins vs. Dean Ambrose in a battle of two former Shield members. The Super Athlete Rusev will defend his newly won United States title against Kozlov! In a battle of two of the strongest men in the world: Mark Henry faces Cesaro! The WWE Diva's title will be defended as Paige faces off with both the former Diva's Champion AJ Lee and Natalya Incredible Diva's action! The WWE Intercontinental title will be decided in a battle royal featuring twenty of top WWE athletes! In the main event, John Cena will defend his WWE World title in a Fatal Fourway match against Randy Orton, Kane and Roman Reigns! What role will Sting play in this contest? Plus many more matches coming up at BattleGround!]

[During this moment, the cameras go backstage inside a locker room where Seth Rollins is preparing to come out and do color commentary for the main event. Mr. Money In The Bank takes one more look in the mirror and a noise can be heard outside the door of the locker room. Rollins looks confused about the noise and then shrugs. He walks over to the door and opens it -- well, he tries to open it. He shoves the door but it just won't budge. He tries to push harder and still it won't move. Rollins begins looking frantic as he is trapped inside the locker room. We move to a camera outside the locker room to show a forklift is positioned right in front of the door. The driver of the forklift? Dean Ambrose! Ambrose smiles as he can see the door shaking slightly as Rollins is trying to get free. Ambrose takes the key, dropping from the forklift and walking away. A few security team members show up and try to free Seth Rollins but without the key it will be very difficult, indeed. Well, even without Seth Rollins on commentary, it is time for the main event!]

Match #5

Non Title Match

Chris Jericho vs. John Cena

[Our main event is an amazing match here tonight on Smackdown as Chris Jericho takes on the WWE World Heavyweight Champion John Cena. The entrance that Jericho had at the beginning of the night seems to be his permanent entrance (a blatant rip-off of Goldberg's entrance by the way). The two men meet in the center of the ring and Jericho slaps Cena! Cena responds with a punch! Jericho throws a punch! Both men begin exchanging rights and lefts. Finally, Cena blocks a Jericho punch and fires two in a row. Make it three. Or four! Cena catches Jericho with a clothesline and then a second clothesline sends Jericho over the top rope to the floor. Jericho slams his hands on the mat in a sign of frustration early on. Cena walks over to jaw with Jericho but Jericho trips Cena and drags him out of the ring. Jericho runs Cena head-first into the ring post. Cena staggers down but Jericho picks him up and tosses him into the ring, joining him inside. As Jericho continues the assault, someone comes walking down to the ring.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/RandyOrton.jpg

[That someone is The Authority's face of the WWE Randy Orton. The crowd boos as the arrogant Orton steps forward and pauses at ringside to 'watch' the match between one of his BattleGround opponent and Chris Jericho. Inside the ring, Jericho continues his control over John Cena. He brings Cena over in a Northern Light's Suplex, getting a two count. Jericho argues with the officials count for a moment and then returns his focus to Cena. He picks up Cena and whips him hard into a corner, following it with a corner clothesline and a body slam to send Cena to the mat. Jericho uses the ropes -- Lionsault! Jericho makes the cover: One, Two, Kickout! Randy Orton applauds Jericho from ringside and the two men meet eyes for a moment. Jericho goes back to Cena and tosses Cena outside the ring. Jericho gets the referee's attention and Orton picks up Cena, ramming him back-first into the ring apron! Orton looks down at Cena and then tosses him back in the ring to Chris Jericho. Jericho catches Cena with the Flashback and then places a foot on his chest, posing and calling out 'Yeah, baby!': One, Two, Shoulder Up! Jericho shakes his head, angry that Cena had the nerve to kick out! Jericho goes for the Walls Of Jericho as the crowd begins the 'Let's Go Cena/Cena Sucks' Chants. Jericho tries to hook the hold in but Cena suddenly comes to life, flipping Jericho with some leg power to the mat. A sign goes up in the air that reads: 'John Cena is secretly Hulk Hogan!']

[both men are slow to rise to their feet, getting a little gassed considering that the match is nearing the fifteenth minute at this point. John Cena ducks a clothesline and brings Chris Jericho down with a running leaping shoulderblock! He brings Jericho to the mat with a second one! Jericho gets to his feet and Cena ducks a clothesline, grabbing Jericho -- spinning side slam! Cena stands over top of Jericho and does the 'You Can't See Me' pose. He bounces off the ropes -- Five Knuckle Shuffle! Cena waits for Jericho to get to his feet and then yanks him up on his shoulders -- Jericho wiggles, trying to get free and accidentally kicks the referee! Referee Mike Chioda goes down to the mat and Randy Orton quickly rolls inside the ring. Orton strikes Cena with a kick, letting Jericho go down to the mat -- RKO by Orton to Cena! The crowd boos loudly! Orton shakes the referee and then exits the ring. Jericho recovers quickly and helps Cena up, moving behind him -- Codebreaker! Jericho makes the cover: One, Two, Three!]

Winner: Chris Jericho (Via Pinfall @ 17:13)

Match Rating: B

[The crowd is in utter shock that Chris Jericho has just pinned the WWE World Heavyweight Champion! Randy Orton enters the ring as Jericho celebrates. Orton is carrying the WWE World Heavyweight title belt. Jericho exits the ring and Orton drops to his knees, placing the belt in the face of John Cena! Orton yells at Cena, telling him that there will be a new WWE World Heavyweight champion at BattleGround! Orton stands tall at the end of this program, raising the WWE World Heavyweight title belt to boos from the crowd. Suddenly, the violin music begins to play that brings out the one and only man called Sting! A spotlight shines in the rafters and there is Sting! He raises a black baseball bat and points it toward the ring and Randy Orton. Wait, that's not Sting. THAT'S Sting! Another spotlight shows another Sting in the audience. Now there's a third Sting! A fourth! A fifth! There are a bunch of Stings in the audience all pointing their baseball bats toward Randy Orton. Orton's eyes go wide and he backs into a corner. What is going to happen at BattleGround? It's coming this Sunday live on pay-per-view and the WWE Network for only $9.99!]

Wrestling Observer Newsletter

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/Battleground.jpg

World Wrestling Entertainment

-It's July and we have reached the major WWE pay-per-view show Battleground. The Battleground itself will be the Fargodome in Fargo, North Dakota. There will be 25,000 members of the WWE Universe in the Fargodome for this great action!

-The main event of the evening should be a wild one as the WWE World Heavyweight title is on the line. There is no DQ and no count out in this match. It is first pinfall or submission that determines who will be walking out with the belt when John Cena defends against Randy Orton, Kane and Roman Reigns! All four of these men have been standing tall in one form or another recently, including John Cena winning the WWE World Heavyweight title at Money In The Bank. Can he keep the belt this week? And what role will The Authority, Sting or The Wolf Pack play in this match?

-The WWE Diva's title is on the line at BattleGround as the champion Paige defends against the former champion AJ Lee and Natalya in a three way match to determine supremacy. All three of these women brawled backstage on the final Smackdown before this show. What kind of wild brawls and wrestling dolls can we expect in this Diva's division match?

-Due to an injury to Bad News Barrett, the Intercontinental title had to be held up. On BattleGround, we will determine a brand new Intercontinental champion through a twenty man over the top rope battle royal. Friends become enemies and enemies become worse inside the confines of a battle royal. With wrestlers like Chris Jericho, The Miz, Bray Wyatt, Curtis Axel, Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and the return of Rey Mysterio this match is anyone's guess as to who will be walking out with the title.

-Just recently, we saw the return of one of the greatest tag teams of all time when The Steiner Brothers returned to the WWE ambushing the current WWE World Tag Team Champions The Usos. Since then, these two teams have traded momentum back and forth on their way to BattleGround. In this match, anything can and will happen as a tag team from the past meets the tag team of the present and future perhaps in The Usos.

-It was shocking to everyone when Rusev challenged Sheamus for the WWE United States title on Smackdown just days before this BattleGround pay-per-view event. It was even more shocking when Rusev scored the pinfall on the Celtic Warrior, giving him the United States title that Lana has said he plans to put at the feet of Russian leader Vladimir Putin. One man who plans to stop that from happening is a former Russian turned American in Kozlov. The USA chants will be loud in Fargo as Kozlov tries to return the United States title to American hands. Can Kozlov end the undefeated streak of Rusev or will the Super Athlete continue his reign as the 'Russian' champion?

-Plus, we will see former Shield members collide in Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins, a battle of World's Strongest Men in Mark Henry facing Cesaro, Victoria steps into battle with Nikki Bella, Bray Wyatt has planned a surprise for The Rock, Brock Lesnar will be in the building, a possible Money In The Bank cash-in and more!

WWE NXT WRESTLING RESULTS!

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWE_14/NXT.jpg

WWE NXT Wrestling is on the final show before their next big show which occurs during the same evening. This edition of NXT Wrestling begins with a women's match as several others have but this time it is Alicia Fox stepping into the ring with Cameron. These two ladies are familiar with each other, which makes for a very good match between the two ladies. Fox nearly scores a pinfall following a tilt-a-whirl backbreaker but Cameron fights her way back into the match. Cameron catches Fox with a standing Tornado DDT and makes the cover, scoring the pinfall victory. In a backstage segment, CM Punk is shown leaving the arena after obviously having been giving the NXT wrestlers a pep talk. He is approached by Alberto Del Rio, who tells him that he is a loser and should be walking away from professional wrestling. But before he goes, Del Rio tells Punk to watch as he takes the NXT title tonight.

Our semi main event match features the NXT return of The Great Khali as he takes on Titus O'Neil in a match of big men. As one might guess, the match is really sloppy and the fans turned on it very quickly. Khali scores a DQ victory when Titus O'Neil resorts to using a chair, striking Khali in the legs again and again. We move from the semi main to the main event as the NXT Heavyweight title is on the line. Adrian Neville defends against the ring veteran Alberto Del Rio. Del Rio focuses in on the arm of Neville, keeping the NXT Heavyweight Champion on the mat. At one point, he goes for the Cross Arm Breaker but Neville breaks free before the hold can be applied and gains some momentum. In what is probably the biggest victory of his career, Neville catches Del Rio with a Red Arrow and hooks the leg, scoring the pinfall victory over Alberto Del Rio to close out the show.
