The Uprising of Lucha Underground

The tradition of Lucha Libre is one like no other. Originating in 1863 in Mexico, Lucha Libre is a free style wrestling without the restrictions of Greco Roman wrestling. However, Lucha Libre got its main grasp on the wrestling world in 1933, which is when Salvador Luttereth founded Empresa Mexicana de Lucha Libre, or the Mexican Wrestling Enterprise. Ever since thing Lucha Libre is raising in popularity faster than a speeding car. Featuring legendary families such as the Guerrero's and high flying action, Lucha Libre is an exciting showmanship of wrestling ability.

 

 

However, Lucha Libre has struggled to get a grasp on the Sports Entertainment wrestling monopoly known as America. That changes now. Founded by television monopoly Mark Burnett, Lucha Underground promises to change what modern Americans know about professional wrestling. There is no bulls**t storylines here. We WRESTLE here. This is the true art of wrestling. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to Lucha Underground! Let's get ready to fight!
