Boetsch lands a left jab, but Samman avoids the kick to the body that it set up. A handful of punches land, but Samman was willing to take them to close the distance and grapple with Boetsch. The grappling doesn't go anywhere, and they break apart. Boetsch comes forward with an attack. Samman hits a pair of jabs in the exchange. A jab hit home from Boetsch and then catches Samman with a beautiful right kick to the head. Boetsch comes forward on the attack. Samman throws a counter jab but misses. Boetsch hits a left hand, but misses when he attempts a big head kick to follow. Boetsch initiates an exchange of strikes. Samman hits a jab in the exchange. Boetsch hits a left hand, but Samman evades a big right punch. Boetsch clinches up, looking shattered. Samman looks for a trip takedown. Samman has the takedown and gets side control from it. Round 1

Mike Goldberg: "The fight begins! The two fighters touch gloves. The two fighters clinch. McMann manages to get control of the clinch. Using her wrestling skills, McMann is trying to push Tate up against the cage. McMann manages it, and controls Tate up against the cage. Tate is trapped up against the cage, unable to get free. They exchange close-quarters punches from that position for about sixty seconds. Tate is pressed up against the cage and simply can't break the control that McMann has over her.. They remain there for at least a minute, hitting each other with short punches to the body and side of the head. McMann uses a vicious foot stomp. We move into the second half of this round. Having been stuck against the cage for a while without any progress, the referee brings them back to the center. The two fighters get up close and start wrestling for position. McMann works her way to a dominant position. McMann is trying to push Tate so that her back is up against the cage. She does so, and now has Tate pinned to the cage. McMann tries a foot stomp, but that puts her off balance and allows Tate to turn her so that she ends up backed against the cage. Tate has gotten underhooks in and is looking to take McMann to the ground. Tate sweeps the legs and takes McMann down, hard. McMann winds up seated, her back to the cage, with Tate pressing onto her. Tate starts trying to get McMann on her back so that she can gain a better position. She does brilliantly, and manages to get full mount on McMann! Tate tries to set up McMann for an armbar. Tate gets the armbar fully applied and McMann has to tap out! By submission, the winner is Miesha Tate!"

Mike Goldberg: "And here we go! An exchange of strikes happens right in the center of the cage, but neither fighter lands anything good. There's a takedown attempt from Gastelum, who set it up well. Woodley cannot stop the takedown, and only catches Gastelum in half guard. Gastelum keeps Woodley guessing with a few quick strikes. Woodley works some separation, then tries to quickly scramble his way into a better position. He may regret that choice, as it gives Gastelum the perfect opportunity to get side control. As result of the failure, he is now automatically banned for twelve months by all regulated regions.

Jon Anik: "Round one begins! Mineiro appeared to be going for a takedown, but Magny took the initiative first. A jab hit home from Magny and then scores with a right cross that landed hard. Magny forces an exchange of strikes. Mineiro manages a counter jab. Two jabs hit home from Magny and then scores with a leg kick. Magny steps forward and a striking exchange begins. Mineiro hit two counter right hands. A jab is wide from Magny, but then hits Mineiro with a beauty of a straight right. Magny looks confident, shortening the range as he looks to strike. Magny connects with a jab, but Mineiro steps back to avoid a high right head kick. Magny closes the distance, obviously looking to strike. Magny hits two left jabs and then scores with a leg kick. The fighters go toe-to-toe with strikes but neither lands anything significant in the exchange. A jab lands from Magny, but Mineiro avoids the kick to the body that it set up. Magny starts pounding away on Mineiro, looking to finish him off! Magny pounds away on Mineiro, landing a few clean shots but not many. Magny tries to lock Mineiro in a kimura. Mineiro defends himself well and is in no danger. Mineiro scoots around and wraps his legs around Magny to pull guard. Magny lies on top of Mineiro, basically smothering him. Wary of the submission threat of his opponent, Magny keeps very tight to Mineiro, peppering him with short strikes. Mineiro tries to sweep Magny but doesn't get anywhere. Magny smothers Mineiro with his body by pushing forward and down. Mineiro is controlled against the ground, unable to shift Magny off of him. Magny throws some minor strikes. Jon Anik: "There's the bell and the final round begins! Saffiedine has a definite limp from the damage he has taken to his legs. Both fighters come together and strike. Brown hits a left jab and also scores with a left kick to the body. Saffiedine doesn't connect with a right jab and also misses with a big left hand. They come together and strike. Brown uses a left jab and also lands a left kick to the body. Saffiedine misses with a right jab and also comes up short on a body kick. The fighters, looking shattered, clinch up rather than try and move away. Brown is trying to force Saffiedine into a Muay Thai clinch. He gets it, and now has Saffiedine in trouble. Using the clinch, Brown hits a vicious knee to the ribs of Saffiedine. Saffiedine tries to wrestle free of the Muay Thai clinch, but cannot. Saffiedine is breathing very hard. From the clinch, Brown drives a huge knee to the stomach. Brown tries a knee strike but doesn't connect, but Saffiedine isn't able to get free of the clinch either. We go past the halfway point of this round. From the clinch, Saffiedine gets caught with a vicious elbow to the side of the head. Brown keeps control of the clinch despite missing a knee strike. Brown releases the Muay Thai clinch and steps back, preparing for a different plan of attack. The two combatants meet in the center and start to strike. Brown scores with a left hook. Saffiedine is off target with a right jab and also can't connect on a spin kick. The end of the round is coming quick, there's under a minute left. Both fighters meet in the center. Brown scores with a left hook. Saffiedine is off target with a right jab and also can't connect on a spin kick. Looking shattered, they all but collapse into each other and clinch. Saffiedine gets caught with a couple of nice short punches as Brown uses his dirty boxing to inflict some punishment. Brown separates from Saffiedine and we're back to a stand-off. The fight comes to an end as the time limit expires."
