FivePack #16 - Uncategorized

FELIPE Fernandes

Boxing | Guaratingueta, Brazil | 0-0 | Debut: June 2004

A high intensity slugger, Felipe Fernandes is likely to become a favourite with fans in South America. The powerful southpaw boats knockout power in both hands and a violent temper, which makes him an imposing opponent. Despite that power, Felipe has almost no skills on the ground and will be found out against better quality opposition. Still, on his day, the raw striker could test the chin of those who underestimate him.
Vulgar

Jeremy VOGLER

Kick Boxing | Toronto, Ontario | 0-0 | Debut: February 2004

Charismatic young kick boxer "Vulgar" Jeremy Vogler is seen by many as a rising star of Canadian MMA. The brash Toronto native is technically very skilled and has worked hard on all facets of his MMA game.

At just 19, Vogler is gifted with incredibly fast hands and feet and uses those skills to dictate the tempo of his fights. Although not particularly powerful and an undersized featherweight, the youngster prefers to fight at 145 lbs where he can use his speed to his advantage.

Super TK

Thawatchai KIATYONGYUTH

Muay Thai | Bangkok, Thailand | 4-0 | Debut: August 2006

A national Muay Thai champion in his native Thailand, "Super TK" Thawatchai Kiatyongyuth started transitioning to MMA some two years before his Muay Thai retirement. Tall and lightly built, Super TK is likely to possess a big reach advantage against most opponents he faces.

While his ground skills are still developing, Super TK has developed an impressive takedown defence which will help him against grapplers. His real strength, though, are some brutal elbows which saw him knockout his first two (carefully selected) opponents in his first two bouts.

Bartus

Bartosz SYMANSKI

BJJ | Olsztyn, Poland | 0-0 | June 2002

A pedestrian BJJ fighter, Bartosz "Bartus" Symanski is unlikely to rise to great heights. Physically quite gifted, Symanski will aim to avoid the striking game and take as few risks as possible. The young Polish fighter has developed quite the knack for the armbar which he will look for at all opportunities - his problem will be getting his opponent onto the mat.
Hammerfist

Raivo GILIS

BJJ | Liepaja, Latvia | 0-0 | Debut: November 2006

Middleweight Raivo Gilis is a rarity - a professional fighter out of the infant Latvian MMA scene. Unfortunately for Gilis, he also has few weapons as he decided to transition to professional MMA on the back of 9 months BJJ training. The 22-year old has almost no stand-up game to note and is unlikely to get the chance to take the fight to the ground.

FivePack #17 - Second Generation

* Note: Please also import the relationships file (hope this works).

"The Nomad"

Atso KUQI

Second Generation Ass Whippin' | Helsinki, Finland | 0-0 | Debut: April 2006

The youngest son of MMA pioneer Veeti Kuqi and the brother of talented heavyweight Roope Kuqi, "The Nomad" Atso Kuqi has some big shoes to fill. While his older brother Roope is clearly a physical and technical evolution of their father, Atso would not look out of place in the early nineties.

The Finn's flabby physique and almost non-existent cardio will lead many to underestimate him, but the youngster packs a powerful punch and is, at the very least, capable of finishing opponents. Kuqi, a member of an outlaw motorcycle gang in Finland, also shows tremendous heart and can take a beating. While unlikely to reach the heights that his brother looks capable of reaching, his genes will give him a fighting chance.

"The Great White Hope"

Kyle STONOR

MMA | Brisbane, Australia | 0-0 | Debut: November 2010

At one point, WEFF commentator "The Great White Shark" Jimmy Stonor was one of Australian MMA's best (and only) great hopes before a back injury derailed his promising career. His son, the self-professed "Great White Hope", possesses many of his father's attributes and is highly regarded amongst Australian and Canadian MMA pundits.

Now based out of Canada, the 19-year old prodigy already boasts an impressive all-round MMA game as he combines precise striking with a competent BJJ foundation. Provided he keeps working hard, he has the potential to be a fine competitor.

"Dog"

Brian HALVORSEN

Wrestling | Chicago, Illinois | 5-0 | September 2004

The son of one of MMA's first dominant welterweights, Brian Halvorsen has all the tools to be a strong contender at 155 lbs. The heavy-handed youngster never quite matched the amateur pedigree of his father, but from all accounts his problem was simply attitudinal.

To say that the elder and younger Halvorsen have a strained relationship is an understatement - the two have consistently fallen out over the years. Despite his father appearing in his corner in his early MMA fights, the two had a sensational scrap after Halvorsen's fifth professional fight which culminated in "Dog" quitting his father's gym for good.

"Baby Bear"

Thurston LETTE

Kung Fu | Detroit, Michigan | 0-0 | Debut: August 2009

The son of one of the biggest stars in Japanese MMA, Thurston Lette followed in his father's by joining the NFL where he had moderate success as a defensive linesman. However, after being cut from a roster at the end of the 2006 season, Lette decided to follow in his father's footsteps and join the world of MMA.

Lette has quickly become known in Japan as "Baby Bear" after appearing in a nationwide advertising campaign with his father. Although arguably not as talented as the older Lette, the impending MMA debut of "Baby Bear" has garnered significant interest in Japan where he is already a minor celebrity.

"The Steamroller"

Mihail SIRAKOV

Greco-Roman Wrestling | Sofia, Bulgaria | 0-0 | Debut: March 2004

Mihail Sirakov's style is a sign of MMA's evolution. The youngest son of MMA pioneer Manol "The Smasher" Sirakov, Sirakov is a strong wrestler with his father's patented punching power.

"The Steamroller" is a naturally huge man who does not share his father's questionable taste in supplements. A Greco-Roman wrestler by trade, Sirakov is trained by his father which means he is unlikely to truly abandon his striking instincts. His weakness is his cardio and his speed - after all, it takes a lot to power a man of Sirakov's size.

Sounds good! I might do five fighters from five smaller European nations, but RoI and Iceland will definitely be part of it.

Sweet man! Looking forward to it. Your characters add a lot to the game even though there aren't a lot. But it just gives us some new guys to keep an eye on and try to build up

I would like to second Judoku1819's welcome back for Scottie. I am mostly a lurker on these boards, but I play WMMA4 on a daily basis. New renders and characters, especially of the quality Scottie produces, are always welcome in my game.

I can hardly wait to get home to add them to my current game.
