Opposite WWF's ever growing national presence, the once mighty National Wrestling Alliance slowly wilted, and ultimately the entire territory system virtually collapsed. But with the death of the NWA territories came the birth of the World Championship Wrestling. Created when media mogul Ted Turner purchased Jim Crockett Promotions, the biggest body within the NWA, WCW is primed to combat Vince McMahon's national powerhouse. Now heading into the 1990’s WWF has continued its National and rumored soon to be International expansion. But the storm clouds are lurking and Hulkamania is clearly weakening. How will Vince McMahon respond to the threat of Turner's cable empire? Will Turner be able to muster enough firepower to stop McMahon's established juggernaut? Demolition would keep control for the early part of the match and then Hawk hot tagged Animal and he started hitting Smash and Crush with rights and lefts all over the place. After Animal hit his Powerslam on Smash, Crush (the legal man) clotheslined Animal to the floor then Hawk ran in and shoulder blocked Crush landing him on the outside too. Smash would then clobber Hawk in the back and Hawk and Smash would brawl in the ring while Animal and Crush were down on the outside. Meanwhile the referee Tim White would count out Crush and Animal which resulted in a Double Count Out ending. Earthquake proves to be quite a challenge for the Warrior as his weight gave him a major advantage in this one along with the tactics of “Mouth of the South” Jimmy Hart. But The Ultimate Warrior would keep coming back for more from whatever offense Earthquake dished out on him and after the Warrior body slammed and hit the Splash on Earthquake the Warrior would pick up a big win over the big man. Slaughter tells the Warrior that just as Suddam Hussein conquered and vanquished Kuwait, Slaughter will do as his leader did and at Royal Rumble he will conquer and vanquish The Ultimate Warrior and all of his Warrior fans to get his hands on the WWF Championship Belt. After he brings "The Model" up, Martel himself comes out to a large amount of boos from the crowd. Martel gets right in the face of Jake and taunts him saying “can you see me”, Martel gets more serious and starts talking about how Jake is lucky he got blinded because now he won’t have to look at his ugly face every morning. Jake cuts him off and says I may be blind but I can still whoop your butt anytime anywhere which gets a huge reaction from the crowd. Rick laughs at that and then rears back and slaps Jake right across the face and Jake falls to a knee and Martel says if you think you can whoop me I dare you to try at the Royal Rumble. Rick then walks backstage and Jake asks for the microphone again and he says “Rick I will teach you what a real *** whooping is at Royal Rumble, I accept!!” And that gets a humongous reaction from the crowd in St. Louis. But then The Nasty Boys come out of nowhere and start beating down on the Hart Foundation, after finishing the beatdown The Nasty’s posed with the Tag Belts with Jimmy Hart between them. (55/C-) When the match ending the lights would go out and a gong was heard throughout the arena and the Undertaker and Paul Bearer came to the ring. Jimmy Snuka looked wild eyed as Taker came down the walkway and into the ring. Then Snuka understood the situation with Taker right in front of him and starting reigning rights and lefts on the big man. Snuka runs against the ropes, but once he reached Taker again he is grabbed by the throat and chokeslammed. Paul Bearer raises up and slams down the urn and that signals for Taker to do the Tombstone and that’s what he does. Taker hits the Tombstone on the Superfly. But that’s not all Paul tells Taker to drag Snuka out of the ring and do it on the outside of the ring, and so that’s exactly what he does. Genius would be looking at a possible win but as he is taunting Tornado with slaps and preforming cartwheels. But then British Bulldog started walking down to ringside and Genius would command Earl to throw Bulldog out but he says he isn’t causing any trouble. That little distraction would cost Genius as Tornado would lock in the CLAW and get the win. The Demos and TOX just seem like such a nice fit. I go with the Orients here because they seem to have a story going, whereas the Rockers kinda don't.
