CZCW Rebirth

Monday Week 2 January, 2014

The show has a sold out crowd at Grissom Auditorium (2000)

Marc Speed vs. Al Coleman

The new CZCW kicks off with a friendly bout between tag team partners, Marc Speed and Al Coleman. After a solid match, Marc Speed defeated Al Coleman by submission with a Cross Armbreaker. (11:54) (D+)

The Future of the Business

The Guru surprises the audience by leaving the commentary table and getting into the ring, microphone in hand. He starts off by telling the fans that he has loved his time as CZCW commentator, but all good things must come to end. Especially if it is to make way for a great thing. The Guru announces that instead of commentating, he will be taking a crack at becoming a manager. "Not just any manager" he says. "I'm going to introduce you fans to the guys who will dominate this business for at least the next ten years. When the time comes to break out a chisel and make a pro wrestling Mount Rushmore, these guys' faces will be the ones there, not Tommy Cornell or anybody else. These guys are the F.O.B. The Future of the Business." The F.O.B.S. music hits and out comes Steven Parker, KC, Glenn and legend Sam Keith's twin sons, Greg and Matthew. (C-)

The Keith Brothers (Matthew and Greg) vs. The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane

Following the segment, The Keith Brothers have their in ring debut against the American Cobras (Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane). Greg Keith ends up getting the quick roll up on Marvel Malloy for the win in 12:20. (D) Both Marvel Malloy and Matthew Keith were off their game.

Sayeed Ali: The Garbage Man

Waylon Walls is in the ring, waiting for his opponent to come out. Sayeed Ali comes down to the ring with a microphone in hand. Two stagehands are pushing a dumpster down to ringside in front of him.

Ali: Waylon Walls, huh? Young up and comer in CZCW? Well, the upper management doesn’t think so and that’s why I’m here. You see Waylon, I’m the Garbage Man and I specialize in taking out human garbage. Me and you are gonna have a lil dumpster match tonight and if you end up on the losing end, your contract will be terminated and CZCW management will give me a nice bonus for doing their dirty work.

Ali drops the mic and rushes the ring. (D)

Sayeed Ali vs. Waylon Walls

In a short bout that wasn’t really anything to write home about, Sayeed Ali dumped Waylon Walls into the dumpster and closed the lid at 5:54. (E) Waylon Walls seemed off his game, probably because he knew it was going to be his last match with the company.

Mikey James questions Remmy Skye as Champion

In a short backstage promo, Mikey James talks about how disappointed he has become in Remmy Skye as a champion. Sure, he has defended the title successfully multiple times, but he’s become weird and detached outside of the ring. He insinuates that it might be his drug habits and that it might be time for someone to take his place at the top of the mountain. (C-)

Sgt. Bubba Lee West vs. Jonnie Perez

From that promo, we go back into the ring where Sgt. Bubba Lee West defeats Jonnie Perez in 5:54 by pinfall (E+). The match was incredibly forgettable, as was the post-match beatdown that Sgt. West continued to lay on Perez after the match was over. (E)

Coastal Zone Extreme Title Match: California Love Machine vs. Frankie Perez

In CZCW’s first title match under new management, we had a title change when Frankie Perez defeated California Love Machine in 12:29 by pinfall. (D) California Love Machine was off his game.

The F.O.B. (Steven Parker and KC Glenn) vs. High Flyin' Hawaiin and Frankie-Boy Fernandes

The other two members of the F.O.B. debuted in a much easier tag match than The Keith Brothers, as Steven Parker and KC Glenn took on High Flyin’ Hawaiian and Frankie-Boy Fernandes. The F.O.B. won in convincing fashion in just 5:58 when KC Glenn hit High Flyin’ Hawaiin with a Tune Up The Sunshine Band (D-). Both members of the losing team looked off their game, probably because they were just slapped together as a tag team and don’t have any experience working together.

Masked Cougar vs. Air Attack Weasel

In a match between two long time CZCW vets, Masked Cougar and Air Attack Weasel put on quite a decent showing. Eventually, Air Attack Weasel succumbed to a Cougar Pounce in 10:02. (C-)

After losing the match, Air Attack Weasel attacked Masked Cougar when he had his back turned. Weasel stomped on Cougar a few times until Snow Fox rushed down to the ring and made the save. (D)

Flash Sparrow (The American Flash and Matt Sparrow) vs. Rich and Famous (Jake Idol and Jackpot Jordan)

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Flash Sparrow defeated Rich And Famous in 11:59 when The American Flash defeated Jake Idol by pinfall with a High Velocity Senton. Flash Sparrow make defence number 5 of their Coastal Zone Tag Team titles. (D+)

Snow Fox vs. Donnie J

After helping out Masked Cougar earlier, Snow Fox takes care of his own business later in the night, defeating Donnie J in 10:16. Snow Fox can’t take all the credit for the win as F.O.B. leader Steven Parker came down to ring side and exchanged words with Donnie J shortly before the finish of the match. (C-)

Steven Parker Calls Out Donnie J

After the match, Parker gets on the mic and challenges Donnie J to a match at CZCW Vendetta next month.

Parker: Donnie J, your time is up! You’re the past, you are a has-been. I am the future, I am the franchise, I am Steven Parker and at CZCW Vendetta I’m going to show the world that I’m right. (D+)

Frankie Dee vs. El Mitico Jr.

In a bathroom break match, Frankie Dee defeated El Mítico Jr in 3:48 by pinfall with a Shinanju Kick. (F+)

Coastal Zone Championship: Mikey James vs. Remmy Skye

Finally, in the anticipated title headliner, we saw Mikey James take on the champ Remmy Skye. Skye seemed a bit out of it throughout the match, possibly validating Mikey James claims of drug abuse. Skye had several near misses on high risk maneuvers that could of possibly won him the match, but in the end he failed to defend his title after Mikey James hit him with a Dragon Whip at 17:35. ©

Looks good so far. Just as a piece of advice however: the general rule of thumb is to schedule your second-to-last match as your second-to-best match on the card. This will help improve your show grades because the semi-main is given a decent amount of weight when determining your overall show grade.

Place your "bathroom break" match before the semi-main, and you should see a bump in grades.

Other than that, looks like a good start!

CZCW Vendetta

Monday Week 1 February, 2014

The show has a sold out crowd at Grissom Auditorium (2000)

Rich and Famous (Jake Idol and Jackpot Jordan) vs. The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane)

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Rich And Famous defeated The American Cobras in 8:33 when Jackpot Jordan defeated Storm Spillane by pinfall with a Cash In. (D)

Sayeed Ali vs. El Mitico

On his way to the ring, Sayeed Ali lets El Mitico know that he doesn't have anything to worry about. CZCW doesn't want to end his contract...yet. So their match tonight is just a regular singles match for some good old fashioned competition, not to end his CZCW contract. (D-)

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, Sayeed Ali defeated El Mítico Jr in 7:57 by pinfall with a G.B.H. Driver. (E+)

Snow Fox vs. Air Attack Weasel

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Snow Fox defeated Air Attack Weasel in 10:19 by pinfall with a Fox Hunter. (D+)

Masked Cougar Returns The Favor…

For the second week in a row after losing his match, Air Attack Weasel attacks his opponent, this time Snow Fox, when he had his back turned. Weasel stomped on Snow Fox a few times until Masked Cougar rushed down to the ring and made the save. (D-)

Sort Of

With Air Attack Weasel having been run off, Snow Fox walks over and offers Masked Cougar a handshake. Instead of returning the gesture, Cougar shockingly lays Snow Fox with a big haymaker punch. The commentators put over the fact that maybe Masked Cougar thought Snow Fox made him look weak last week by running in and saving him. (D+)

Sgt. Bubba Lee West vs. Frankie Perez

Sgt West and Frankie Perez were having a decent bout when Frankie's little brother came out looking for some payback. He rashly rushed into the ring and attacked West, inadvertently giving him a DQ victory. (D-)

Frankie Perez Issues A Challenge

After calming down his brother, Frankie informs Sgt. Bubba that he better find himself a tag partner, because whether he does or he doesn't, both Perez brothers will be getting their hands on him at next months Uprising show. (D-)

Frankie Dee vs. High Flyin’ Hawaiian

Frankie Dee wins another bout with little crowd interest. The two competitors didn't have much in the way of in ring chemistry either. (E)

Tag Team Championship:

Flash Sparrow (The American Flash and Matt Sparrow) vs. The Shoot Club (Marc Speed and Al Coleman)

After facing off in a friendly bout last month, The Shoot Club decides to tag back up in an elimination match for the tag team titles. Al Coleman was eliminated early on, leaving Marc Speed to fend for himself for the majority of the match. Marc Speed did well, even eliminating Matt Sparrow. American Flash was able to clean things up and win the match for Flash Sparrow's sixth title defense. (D+)

The Keith Brothers (Matthew and Greg) vs. Going Coastal (California Love Machine and Frankie-Boy Fernandes

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, The Keith Brothers defeated Going Coastal in 10:17 when Matthew Keith defeated Frankie-Boy Fernandes by pinfall after The Guru interfered. (D+)

Steven Parker vs. Donnie J

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Steven Parker defeated Donnie J in 12:24 by pinfall with a Future Shock following interference from KC Glenn. (C-)

Coastal Zone Championship:

Mikey James vs. Remmy Skye

In a bout that featured great action and a good crowd, Mikey James defeated Remmy Skye in 20:30 by pinfall with a Scything Side Kick. Mikey James makes defence number 1 of his Coastal Zone Championship title. (C+)

CZCW Uprising

Tuesday Week 1 March, 2014

A sold out crowd at Grissom Auditorium (2000)

KC Glenn vs. High Flyin Hawaiian

KC Glenn and High Flyin Hawaiian get the crowd started in a solid match where Glenn goes over. (D)

The Animal Kingdom

We go to an unidentified location backstage where Air Attack Weasel has a microphone.

Air Attack Weasel: The food chain is an interesting thing. The bigger, stronger animals usually get to eat the smaller, weaker creatures. Well, pro wrestling’s animal kingdom works a bit differently. It isn’t always the biggest or fastest creature that gets to be king of the jungle, sometimes it is the smartest and the sneakiest. That is certainly the case in CZCW where the Weasel is king while the Cougar and the Fox bumble around like idiots and tonight I’m going to prove it. (D)

Dumpster Match:

Sayeed Ali vs. Jake Idol

Sayeed Ali comes out and lets Jake Idol know he doesn’t have the luxury El Mitico Jr had last month. When he loses tonight, it will be his last time ever stepping foot in a CZCW ring. (D-)

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Sayeed Ali defeated Jake Idol in a Dumpster match in 8:42 when Jake Idol was trapped. It shocked many of the CZCW fans as Jake Idol has been a great midcarder for the company for years. (D)

Looking For A Partner, Finding A Fight

Looking for a tag team partner, Sgt. Bubba Lee West approaches the American Cobras. Siting the fact that they are competent tag team performers, he asks if one of them will team up with him. When they both refuse, he grabs a nearby weapon and a 2 v 1 brawl ensues. (E+)

Marc Speed Prefers Mikey James To Mind His Own Business

Marc Speed and Al Coleman are walking backstage. Speed is being quite rough on Coleman because of his early elimination in last month’s tag team title match. Mikey James passes them backstage and tells Speed to back off a little bit. This leads to a brawl between James and Speed with Al Coleman standing by. (D)

Air Attack Weasel vs. Snow Fox vs. Masked Cougar

For 15 minutes, this match was absolutely phenomenal. These guys were flying all over the place and doing crazy spots and getting several near falls. It ended in confusing fashion when Snow Fox German suplexed Masked Cougar who in turn German suplexed Weasel and all three of their shoulders were down as the ref counted. (C-)

Resolution?

After the indecisive match ending, all three competitors look to the ref for a resolution. The referee doesn't have one, so the three competitors start pushing him and each other around until Air Attack Weasel sucker punches the ref and a brawl breaks out between the competitors once again. (D-)

Hollywood Down

Britney Hollywood, Donnie J’s girlfriend and manager is shown backstage, where officials have just found her down on the ground, the apparent victim of a sneak attack. She is stunned but conscious. She doesn't know for sure who attacked her but she does think that Steven Parker probably had something to do with it. (E)

No Partner

The Perez Brothers come down to the ring and claim Sgt. Bubba Lee West couldn't find a single person on the roster that likes him enough that they are willing to tag up with him. Sgt. says it doesn't matter, he will fight them in a 2 on 1 handicap match. Just as the match was about to begin, Frankie Dee makes a surprise entrance and teams up with Sgt. (E+)

The Perez Brothers (Frankie and Jonnie) vs. Sgt. Bubba Lee West and Frankie Dee

Frankie Dee ended up being quite a mystery partner, as he more than held his own in the match and even ended up getting the eventual victory, pinning Jonnie around the 9 minute mark. (D)

Seeing Things

Remmy Skye is looking at his pupils in the mirror back stage when he sees someone standing behind him in the mirror. Remmy Skye turns around, but whoever he saw isn't there. (D)

Al Coleman vs. Jackpot Jordan

In a match that had an average crowd reaction and some decent in-ring action, Al Coleman defeated Jackpot Jordan in 9:50 by submission with an Ankle Brace after blatantly cheating. (D-) Throughout the match, Coleman seemed very frustrated and ultra-aggressive.

The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane) vs. Going Coastal (California Love Machine and Frankie-Boy Fernandes)

In a bout that had solid in-ring action but not much in the way of heat, The American Cobras defeated Going Coastal in 9:10 when Storm Spillane defeated California Love Machine by submission with a Kneeling Boston Crab. (D-)

Stalker?

Remmy Skye is on his way to the ring when he stops, almost as if he feels someone watching him. He looks around, doesn't see anyone, and continues walking. Seconds later, a shadowy figure emerges from hiding, having been there the whole time, and runs off. (D-)

Remmy Skye vs. El Mitico Jr.

In a match that had some good, high-flying, fast paced action and average heat, Remmy Skye defeated El Mítico Jr in 6:24 by pinfall with a Skye Diver. (C-)

Skye Not Paranoid

Remmy Skye is celebrating his victory in the ring. It appears Skye wasn’t being paranoid all night because Insane Machine comes from out of nowhere and lays Remmy Skye out, brutally attacking him. (D-)

Tag Team Championship:

The Keith Brothers (Matthew and Greg) vs. Flash Sparrow (Matt Sparrow and The American Flash)

In a match that had some good action and average heat, The Keith Brothers defeated Flash Sparrow in 9:54 when Matthew Keith defeated The American Flash by submission with a Proton Lock. The Keith Brothers win the Coastal Zone Tag Team titles. (C-)

After the match, The Keith Brothers let everyone know that they are going to make Flash Sparrow’s relatively long title reign seem short when they hold the belt for years. (D)

Cage Match:

Steven Parker vs. Donnie J

After KC Glenn caused Donnie J to lose his last match to Steven Parker, Donnie J insisted that their rematch be in a cage match so that no one could interfere. He got that wish, but after his girlfriend was laid out backstage, his head just didn’t seem in the right place. His counters were slow and overall he just seemed very distracted. Parker took advantage of Donnie J not being in his best form and eventually won the match by escaping the cage. (C-)

After beating Donnie J for the second match in a row, Steven Parker reveals it was he who took out his girlfriend backstage in order to get into J's head. And it worked. (D)

Coastal Zone Championship:

Mikey James vs. Marc Speed

Speed may have been angry about Al Coleman getting eliminated so early from their tag team title match, but the overwhelming odds and Marc Speeds great performance is what ended up with him getting this title shot against Mikey James. It ended up being a really solid main event between two evenly matched competitors. In the end, Mikey James was just too much for Speed and he successfully defended his title for the second time. ©

Spring Break Bash

Tuesday Week 1 April 2014

Sgt. Bubba Lee West and Going Coastal vs. Jonnie Perez and The American Cobras

In a classic, somewhat slapped together six man tag match, Sgt. Bubba Lee West and Going Coastal defeated Jonnie Perez and The American Cobras in 10:05. Sgt. Bubba Lee West got the pinfall after hitting his rival, Jonnie Perez, a Recon Wrench. (D-)

Frankie Dee vs. Chet Chavez

In a continuation of the running segment, “Who cares about Frankie Dee”, Frankie Dee took on Chet Chavez, a rookie straight out of Coastal Resort Training Camp. He beat him easily with a Shinanju Kick. Yawn. (E+)

Double or Nothing

After his tag team partner Jake Idol got the dumpster treatment last month, Jackpot Jordan comes out. Being the gambler that he is, Jackpot offers to put his contract on the line against Sayeed Ali in a dumpster match to get Jake Idols contract back. Ali, never one to shy away from a fight, accepts the challenge. (D-)

Dumpster Match:

Jackpot Jordan vs. Sayeed Ali

Sayeed Ali was moments away from trapping Jackpot Jordan in the dumpster and ending Rich & Famous as a CZCW tag team once and for all when Sgt. Bubba Lee West came up from behind, tugged Jackpot Jordan away from Ali and tossed Ali into the dumpster, closing the lid on top of him. (D-)

Hedging Your Bets

After the match, Jackpot gets on the mic and informs Sayeed Ali that while he likes to gamble, he loves to win even more. He then hands a briefcase full of money to Sgt. Bubba Lee West, who all but secured him the victory. "You gotta put yourself in a position to win, Sayeed." (D-)

Ladder Match:

Snow Fox vs. Air Attack Weasel vs. Masked Cougar

The three “animals” of CZCW square off in a ladder match, not with a belt hanging high above the ring, but a crown signifying the top spot in the Animal Kingdom. From the very beginning of the match, Air Attack Weasel constantly tried to set up the ladder and climb quickly towards the crown, but because he didn’t carefully make sure his opponents were incapacitated, he ended up taking several huge bumps. Eventually, he was pushed from the top of the ladder to the outside of the ring through a table, which needless to say, took him out of the match for several minutes. During this time, Masked Cougar and Snow Fox went at, both of them came within seconds of winning the bout. Finally, Masked Cougar got to the top of the ladder with Snow Fox incapacitated, grabbed the crown and….Air Attack Weasel made a miraculous comeback, drop kicking the ladder out from under Masked Cougar, sending Cougar crashing in to the mat and leaving all three competitors out. They all start to stir at about the same time and each man gets a tease at a possible victory. In the end, Snow Fox trudges his way to the top of the ladder and takes the crown as his own. (D+)

Having picked up the victory, Snow Fox celebrates in the ring. (D+)

Remmy Skye vs. Insane Machine

After a really intense fight, Insane Machine goes…insane. He gets a chair from ringside and beats the tar out of Remmy Skye with it, ending the match by DQ. ©

Insane Machine just continues hammering Skye with steel chair shot after steel chair shot. (D)

Steven Parker Promo

Steven Parker cuts a promo hyping up his upcoming match with Frankie Perez, basically saying that him taking the Xtreme Title is his first step in taking over CZCW. ©

Tag Team Title 2 out of 3 Falls:

The Keith Brothers (Matthew and Greg) vs. Flash Sparrow (Matt Sparrow and The American Flash)

Flash Sparrow claimed that after all their title defenses, they should have more of a chance to retain their title than one “flukey fall”. The former champs talk ended up coming up short as The Keith Brothers defeated Flash Sparrow in two straight falls. (C-)

Donnie J vs. KC Glenn

Losing two straight matches to Steven Parker, Donnie J couldn’t really convince CZCW management to give him a third fight, but he wasn’t done fighting the F.O.B. So Donnie J took the next best thing, a match against KC Glenn, the man who cost him his first match against Steven Parker. Donnie J was able to get his revenge, but not before The Guru made a big mistake, accidentally costing his client KC Glenn the match with a botched interference. (C-)

After the botched interference, KC Glenn goes off on his manager, The Guru. Guru seems apologetic, but also angry that Glenn would turn on him so quickly for a simple mistake. (D+)

El Mitico Jr. vs. High Flyin’ Hawaiian

In a match between high flying jobbers, El Mitico Jr. picked up the victory just short of the 5 minute mark. Both guys are pretty solid in ring, but the match bored the crowd to tears because of the lack of momentum behind either guy. (E+)

CZCW Xtreme Title Match:

Steven Parker vs. Frankie Perez

In a match that had some good action and average heat, Steven Parker defeated Frankie Perez in 14:22 by pinfall with a Future Shock. Steven Parker wins the Coastal Zone Xtreme title. (C-)

Having picked up the victory, Steven Parker celebrates in the ring. (D)

CZCW Coastal Championship Match:

Al Coleman vs. Mikey James vs. Marc Speed

Going in to this match, it seemed like Al Coleman and Marc Speed, sometimes known as the Shoot Club, were no longer friends. They had gotten in some arguments and seemed to have real issues between them. After this match, all of those actions and arguments seemed to be a ploy to steal the title away from Mikey James. That is because as soon as the bell rang in what was supposed to be a triple threat match, Marc Speed and Al Coleman formed an obvious alliance. They wouldn’t attack each other and Al Coleman wouldn’t break up Marc Speeds pinning attempts. Mikey James took quite a beating and didn’t look like he had much left when Frankie Perez came down to the ring, Mikey James’ Cali Dragon team mate, and interfered on his behalf. Perez took out Coleman and preoccupied Speed in a brawl, which allowed the reigning champion to crawl and drape his arm over Al Coleman for the win and unlikely title defense. ©

After the run in by Perez and the conclusion of the match, The Cali Dragons and The Shoot Club are left standing toe to toe. Perez gets on the mic and says that since the Shoot Club wanted to treat tonights main event like it was a tag team match, then next show they can get an actual tag team match. It will be The Cali Dragons vs. Shoot Club. Marc Speed accepts without hesitation. (D)

Its always odd seeing other people book CZCW its an interesting take. Wondering why you got rid of Idol myself. And Ali is bigger than Light Heavyweight yes?

Why is it odd?

Read the next show.

Also I'm just releasing a bunch of shows this first day because I got about 8 shows in before I decided to start posting it as a dynasty. It will slow down and probably raise in quality once I get caught up to where I'm actually at.

CZCW Welcome to the Coastal Zone

Tuesday Week 1 May, 2014

A sold out crowd at Grissom Auditorium (2000)

Remmy Skye vs. Insane Machine

In a bout that really served its purpose of warming up the crowd, Remmy Skye and Insane Machine went all out…all out of the ring that is. The two got into trading blows so furiously that they left the ring altogether and ended up having a double count out. (D+)

The Guru Messed Up

The F.O.B. come out and seem like they are going to shoot a promo on someone. Surprisingly, it ends up being their own manager, The Guru. They blame him for KC Glenn's loss to Donnie J and tell him that he's going to have to shape up or ship out. (D-)

Going Coastal (California Love Machine and Frankie-Boy Fernandes) vs. Chet Chavez and High Flyin’ Hawaiin

In what amounted to little more than a “get right” match for Going Coastal, CLM pinned Chavez after an LAX Departure. (E)

Sayeed Ali vs. Sgt. Bubba Lee West

Sayeed Ali comes down to the ring. He takes a microphone and tells Sgt. Bubba Lee West to get his ass down to the ring and take the beating that he deserves for interfering in Ali’s match last month. West obliges and we have an impromptu singles match. (D)

The match itself showed Ali having much more ill will toward West, with a far more aggressive and effective offensive, eventually finishing the military man off with a G.B.H. Driver (D-)

Rich and Famous (Jake Idol and Jackpot Jordan) vs. Flash Sparrow (Matt Sparrow and The American Flash)

Just a few months ago, this same match was being contested for the tag titles. Now, Flash Sparrow is in a bit of a slump after some poor outings against The Keith Brothers and Rich And Famous just barely escaped with their jobs after a couple run-ins with “The Garbage Man” Sayeed Ali. The reinvigorated Rich and Famous end up coming out on top, continuing Flash Sparrow’s poor run of form. (D)

After the match, Matt Sparrow is obviously angry with American Flash, even though he was the one who got pinned. (E+)

KC Glenn vs. Marvel Malloy

Glenn looks to get back in the win column after his manager cost him a big win against Donnie J against another up and comer, Marvel Malloy. He’s successful, beating Malloy in relatively convincing fashion just under the ten minute mark. (C-)

Frankie Dee vs. Jonnie Perez

Frankie “Ratings Killer” Dee beats Jonnie Perez in another crowd killing match. (E+)

Keith Brothers Open Challenge

The Keith Brothers are in the ring with microphones. They claim that they are so good that they cannot be defeated by anyone, and so they are making an open challenge for any team on the roster to face them in a tag team match. With all of the CZCW teams either having already competed tonight or waiting to compete later tonight, they didn’t really expect anyone to accept their challenge, thus making them look feared. Unexpectedly, a non-team of Donnie J and Masked Cougar accepted their challenge. (D+)

Tag Team Titles:

The Keith Brothers (Matthew and Greg) vs. Donnie J and The Masked Cougar

The fans may not like the Keith Brothers, but there is no denying that they were the superior team in this match. The Keith twins just had an obvious chemistry built up over their 24 years of life together, while Donnie J and Masked Cougar looked exactly like what they are: a makeshift tag team. That chemistry leads to a second straight title defense for Matthew and Greg Keith. (D+)

Air Attack Weasel vs. El Mitico Jr.

After his unsuccessful feud with Masked Cougar and Snow Fox, Air Attack Weasel had to take out his pent up frustration on someone. That someone ended up being El Mitico Jr. In a high flying, but mainly one sided match, Air Attack Weasel picked up his first CZCW win under new management. (D-)

The Cali Dragons (Mikey James and Frankie Perez) vs. The Shoot Club (Marc Speed and Al Coleman)

This match was spiced up by CZCW management, adding the stipulation that whoever got the pin in the match would be the next challenger for Mikey James title (If Mikey James got the pin he’d get a month’s rest from his busy CZCW and BHOTWG schedule). This led to an interesting dynamic as both teams ended up working together and against each other. Eventually, everyone’s selfishness led to a complete breakdown in the match, with a four way brawl erupting and the ref declaring the match over because he couldn’t regain control. (D+)

CZCW Xtreme Title Match:

Steven Parker vs. Snow Fox

In this match, Snow Fox looked to turn his King of the Animal Kingdom ladder match win into an Xtreme Title Victory. The match ended up being an incredibly competitive and entertaining bout as the man who is arguably the future of the CZCW took on the man who arguably made CZCW what it is today. After a very memorable 20 minute contest, Steven Parker got his biggest win to date after hitting a Future Shock on Snow Fox and getting the pin. (C-)

The Dirt Sheet

In shocking news, SWF Owner Richard Eisen has died. His son, Jerry Eisen, takes over things on the business end for SWF. This sad news brings about many changes for the wrestling business as a whole, not just SWF. This is because where Richard Eisen was content in sitting at the top of the mountain, Jerry seems to want to kick the climbers on the mountain below him even lower.

This was evidenced by a mass series of poaching, taking several of the top stars from many of the US' regional companies and signing them to exclusive deals. Perhaps the most effected by this wave of signings ended up being CZCW, who unsurprisingly has lost recently signed hot prospect Steven Parker to SWF. On the surprising end of things however, were a trio of departures of long tenured CZCW favorites. This surprising list includes Donnie J (Been with CZCW since 2005), The Masked Cougar (Been with CZCW since 2006) and Snow Fox (Been with CZCW since 2000). This raid leaves CZCW's main eventer cabinet very bare and leaves speculation as to who, if anyone, is capable of filling these shoes.

CZCW still has one show left to send off Steven Parker, Snow Fox, Donnie J and The Masked Cougar off to the big show. After that, they will need to come up with some new faces to lead the company other than Mikey James and Remmy Skye.

CZCW End of an Era

Saturday Week 1 June, 2014

A sold out crowd at Grissom Auditorium (2000)

Times Are Changing

The show starts out with The Guru standing in the middle of the ring, microphone in hand.

The Guru: It must confuse many of you as to why I'm standing in the middle of this ring, especially without any of the F.O.B. with me. Well, you all are looking at the first ever CZCW Commissioner! CZCW management has decided they need a representative at all the shows that can make sure things are going as they expect them to. As my first action as acting CZCW Commissioner, I would like to call for a moment of silence for the passing of Richard Eisen. We may not share the same philosophies when it comes to pro wrestling, but it is undeniable that without that man, pro wrestling would not be where it is today. (C+)

After a lengthy period of silence, the crowd claps in honor of Richard Eisen.

The Guru: As many of you are aware, this show is titled End of An Era. Many pro wrestling shows have catchy, but ultimately meaningless titles to drum up interest, but this is not one of those shows. This show really is the conclusion of some of the best chapters in the history of CZCW. This will be the final show for Snow Fox, Masked Cougar and Donnie J. I would like to ask all three of those men to come down to the ring.

Donnie J comes out first, followed by Masked Cougar and finally Snow Fox. All of them get outrageously loud ovations.

The Guru: I've called you three down to the ring because I thought it was only right after all you guys have done for CZCW over the years, that you would get to decide how it all ends. Do you guys want to have a match tonight? Do you just want to give a big speech and ride off in the sunset? It's all up to you three. You've earned it.

Snow Fox: After 14 years of competing in CZCW, it just wouldn't be right to go out on a speech. I want a match.

Donnie J: I agree. My only problem is that I don't want to do some 6-man tag match where guys that will be in CZCW going forward take on us newly signed SWF guys. I don't want to make it seem like we are abandoning CZCW. Like we play for a different team now or something. We will always be team CZCW no matter what.

Masked Cougar: Definitely, J. I think the only way to go out would be for the three of us to square of one last time in a CZCW ring for old times sake. What do you say?

The three men all agree and shake hands. Commissioner Guru shakes their hands and wishes them all the best going forward. (D)

KC Glenn vs. Storm Spillane

After defeating Marvel Malloy last month, KC Glenn makes it two for two against the American Cobras with a solid win over Storm Spillane. (C-)

It's Only Logical

The Guru is backstage getting comfortable in his new office.

The Guru: Remmy Skye and Insane Machine, I don't know what got into you two, but the fans love it. Unfortunately your matches haven't exactly had the most decisive outcomes. Two months ago, Insane Machine went and got disqualified. That's no good. We can't be having disqualifications. Last month, you two brawled out of the arena like mad men and got counted out. Matches ending with the referee counting to 10 are no good either.

A sly smile comes across The Guru's face.

The Guru: Unless...it's in a Last Man Standing match. The crowd pops and the camera goes back to the ring. (C-)

Frankie Dee vs. California Love Machine

Dee gets undoubtedly the biggest win of his CZCW career over former Xtreme Champion California Love Machine and the fans actually kinda cared. Kinda. (D)

Career Retrospective

A video package shows highlights of Snow Fox, Donnie J and Masked Cougar over the years in CZCW. (E+)

Air Attack Weasel vs. Frankie-Boy Fernandes

Air Attack Weasel seems to slowly, but surely be gaining some momentum back, this time by defeating Frankie-Boy Fernandes in a decent match. (D)

What About Me?

Steven Parker comes down to the ring.

Steven Parker: Well hasn't tonight just been lovely? Everyone is so sad about about their favorite losers leaving the company that nobody has paid any attention to the fact that The Franchise is leaving too. That's right boys and girls, Steven Parker is out of this dump.

The fans cheer loudly, which obviously annoys Parker.

Steven Parker: Fine. Have it your way. I just wanted to come out here one last time, beat one of these hacks that you guys call a "professional wrestler" and then leave with the Xtreme Title still around my waist. Don't worry though. I'll make sure to drop it in the first garbage can outside of SWF headquarters that I see. I wouldn't want this heap of scrap metal to be confused for one of SWF's actually meaningful and prestigious title belts.

The Crowd: BOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!

Steven Parker: So who wants to get pinned by The Franchise tonight? Remmy Skye? No, he's probably to high to even walk in a straight line. Mikey James? He's probably too busy watching sweaty men grind on each other...and I'm not talking about MMA. Ha! It looks like none of your heroes...

The F.O.B. Entrance theme hits. Steven Parker looks confused. The crowd looks confused. The commentators looked confused.

Steven Parker: I think the sound guy is confused. I'm not leaving yet. Not til I...

Matthew Keith steps out onto the entrance ramp. The music wasn't playing by mistake.

Steven Parker: Matthew? What are you....?

Matthew Keith: Shut up Parker! All high and mighty because Jerry Eisen doesn't know a good wrestler when he sees one. I mean, I'm Sam Keith's son and I'm stuck here, but you are the one that gets the lucrative SWF contract? After months of playing second fiddle to you in the F.O.B? Well I've had it. I accept your challenge Parker. I'm gonna send you out of CZCW with a loss and without that title! Keith drops the mic and rushes down to the ring. ©

CZCW Xtreme Title Match:

Steven Parker vs. Matthew Keith

This ended up being the best match of the year so far in CZCW. These two have fantastic chemistry and put on one hell of a show for the fans. In the end, Matthew Keith lives up to his word, sending Steven Parker out of the company without a title to his name. (C+) It's almost tragic that we won't get to see more matches out of these two anytime soon.

Snow Fox vs. Masked Cougar vs. Donnie J

This match was pretty emotional, unsurprising when you consider that these guys have spent a combined 31 years in CZCW. Each guy was able to get all of their best spots in and the crowd was behind all three of them 100 percent of the way. In the end, Snow Fox lays Masked Cougar out with a Fox Hunter for the victory. ©

This Is Goodbye

Snow Fox, Masked Cougar and Donnie J all celebrate in the ring together while they get a seemingly endless standing ovation from the crowd. Very emotional and very fitting end to three of the faces of CZCW's run in the company. (D-)

CZCW Payoff

Saturday Week 2 of June 2014

A sold out crowd at Grissom Auditorium (2000)

KC Glenn and Greg Keith vs. The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane)

Glenn picks up his third straight win, kind of filling in for Matthew Keith as Greg Keiths tag team partner, while Matthew seems to focus on bigger and better things. (D+)

Elimination Tag Team Match:

Rich and Famous (Jake Idol and Jackpot Jordan) vs. Frankie Dee and Chet Chavez vs. High Flyin' Hawaiian and El Mitico Jr.

Looking at becoming the next in the running for the tag titles, Rich and Famous dominate two thrown together, nearly jobber teams. It took Jake Idol and Jackpot Jordan under 8 minutes to eliminate the two teams. (D-)

You May Have Won The Battle

Backstage, Sgt. Bubba Lee West cuts a promo.

Sgt. Bubba Lee West: Sayeed, you think you're all big and bad because you beat me in one battle? One measly battle? Well son, I've been around the block a few times, so I'm not one to go and get all giddy about one little victory. I know how hard the enemy can strike back after one little victory. I know how much the enemy can make you bleed after one little victory. And tonight Ali, you best believe I'm gonna make you bleed. (D+)

Going Coastal (California Love Machine and Frankie-Boy Fernandes) vs. Flash Sparrow (Matt Sparrow and The American Flash)

To add insult to injury to the former longtime tag champs, Going Coastal ends up picking the win over them after a quick school boy pin by California Love Machine caught Matt Sparrow off guard. (E+)

After the match, Matt Sparrow is obviously angry with American Flash, even though he was the one who got pinned. (E)

First Blood Match:

Sgt. Bubba Lee West vs. Sayeed Ali

This was a quite a violent affair. Both guys beat the crap out of each other and used every weapon, but the kitchen sink until finally, Sgt. Bubba Lee West opened up a gusher on Ali's forehead with a nasty chair shot. (D+)

Last Man Standing Match:

Remmy Skye vs. Insane Machine

Prior to the match, a hype video plays, showing what has taken place in the feud so far. (D)

This match continued to ramp up the intensity in this feud, which many thought might not even be possible. Both guys used many weapons and high risk, high reward maneuvers to try and incapacitate their opponent. They each continued to up the ante until Remmy Skye took it to a whole 'nother level. He climbed a ladder inside the ring and smashed Insane Machine through the announce table on the outside of the ring with a Skye Diver. It looked like it was going to be a double count out as both guys were laid out after the crazy move, but Skye was just able to drag himself up after the 9 count but before the ten count to win the match. ©

Coastal Zone Championship Fatal Four Way Match:

Mikey James vs. Frankie Perez vs. Marc Speed vs. Al Coleman

A promo video shows nearly everything between these four men that have led up to this point. (D-)

This ended up being a fantastic main event where all four of the guys completely threw their alliances away and went as hard as they could after the Coastal Zone Championship. All four men got in some hard hitting offense and all four guys had some at least semi-believable near pin fall attempts. The end came after a wild chain of events where Perez laid Speed out with his finisher, Coleman laid Perez out with his finisher and then Mikey James nailed Coleman with the Scything Side Kick followed by a 3 count to retain his title yet again. (B-)

After a little bit of celebrating by the champ, Mikey James, the other three competitors start to stir and make it back to their feet. There is a bit of a tense moment as the four competitors look at each other with straight faced expressions. Eventually, Mikey James extends his hand to Marc Speed. Speed returns the gesture and the four guys all end up respectfully shaking hands. The last shot of the event is the four competitors, all raising each others hands in "victory". (D)

The Dirt Sheet

After four of the biggest names in CZCW jumped ship to SWF, it was obvious that the company would have to hire some reinforcements. They have done just that, adding 6 men to the roster. Akima Brave, Hell's Bouncer (As Colossus), Findlay O'Farraday, and Rudy Velasquez all figure to get some decent pushes, while Ted Brady and Kashmir Singh seem to have been signed to put some of the younger guys over.

In other news, CZCW's Battle on the Beach card has been finalized.

CZCW Battle on the Beach Predictions:

Akima Brave vs. Remmy Skye vs. Matthew Keith

Strap Match: Sayeed Ali vs. Sgt. Bubba Lee West

Rich and Famous (Jake Idol and Jackpot Jordan) vs. The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane)

Colossus vs High Flyin' Hawaiian

Shoot Club (Marc Speed and Al Coleman) vs. Going Coastal (California Love Machine and Frankie-Boy Fernandes)

Frankie Perez vs. Frankie Dee

Rumor has it that the triple threat match will determine the next challenger for Mikey James Coastal Zone Championship. Also, it is unclear exactly how, but both tag matches will play some sort of part in determining the #1 contender for the tag titles.

CZCW Battle on the Beach

The Next Contender

The Guru starts the show off in the ring.

The Guru: With the feud concluding between Mikey James, Marc Speed, Al Coleman and Frankie Perez, we are in need of a new title challenger. After looking over the roster, there are really only two men I can see giving Mikey James a run for his money. The first man, Remmy Skye, has already challenged Mikey James for the title, but came up just short. His recent success against Insane Machine leads me to believe he may have bridged the gap between himself and James and deserves another shot. The second man, Akima Brave, is a brand new signing to CZCW, but is already a name within the pro wrestling world. He spent five and a half years in SWF and went on two title runs during that time. In tonight’s main event, these two men will face…

Matthew Keith’s entrance music interrupts whatever the Guru was about to say. He comes out on the ramp with the tag title draped over one shoulder, the Xtreme title draped over the other and a microphone in hand.

Matthew Keith: Really Guru? When you look up and down the CZCW roster those two are the best you can come up with? What about the only man in CZCW to hold two titles at once? What about the man that is 6-0 in CZCW this year?

The Guru: Matthew, you already have enough on your plate. Why don’t you worry about defending the titles you already have.

Matthew Keith: Why don’t you let me worry about what I need to do? All YOU need to do is change tonight’s main event from a singles match to a triple threat match including yours truly. So what do you say?

The Guru: You’ve got it, Keith. Don’t expect to allow your other titles to sit on the shelf and collect dust if you do become the number one contender though.

Segment Rating: C

Frankie Perez vs. Frankie Dee

These two had a good, hard hitting, MMA style bout with both guys getting about equal amounts of offense in, despite Perez being the much more established wrestler. In the end, Perez picks up the victory, but I think both guys stock rose with this match. (D+)

Perez was celebrating his victory in the ring when Insane Machine came from out of the crowd and clobbered him from behind. (E+)

Commentators Mitch Naess and Ernie Turner put over the fact that there are two tag team matches tonight and whoever impresses CZCW management most in these bouts will become the number one contenders for The Keith Brothers tag titles. (D)

Shoot Club (Marc Speed and Al Coleman) vs. Going Coastal (California Love Machine and Frankie-Boy Fernandes)

Speed and Coleman show their tag team experience, largely keeping Fernandes isolated from his partner. In the end, Coleman gets Frankie-Boy to tap to his Ankle Brace submission maneuver. (D+)

Colossus vs. High Flyin’ Hawaiian

Colossus squashes HFH, ragdolling him around the ring for a couple minutes prior to putting him out of his misery with a Damnation Drop. (E+)

We go backstage for a Sayeed Ali Promo

Sayeed Ali: So it continues. You know West, It will be pretty fitting for you and me to be tied to each other at the wrist in a strap match tonight. We are already tied up in a feud that really won’t end until one of us is injured or gone from the company, so why not tie us to each other with no escape? This also serves as a rubber match for us, although I hardly think making someone bleed is equal to beating someone down to the point where they can’t raise their shoulder off the mat before a count of three. A man can’t control what makes him bleed, but a man can refuse to be pinned down. Just like I broke your will in our first match, I’ll break your body tonight. Then I’m going to drag your lifeless carcass around the ring while I take my victory march to all four ring posts. (D+)

The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane) vs. Rich And Famous (Jake Idol and Jackpot Jordan)

Rich and Famous certainly had pressure on them in this match after Shoot Club’s impressive performance earlier in the night. If they wanted that title shot, they’d certainly have to put on a wrestling clinic against the American Cobras and for the most part, they did. Idol and Jordan were certainly the superior team for most of the match, but The American Cobras got a perfectly timed tag and Storm Spillane was able to clear house, finishing the match with a Cobra Strike on Jake Idol for the pretty big upset. (D)

Strap Match:

Sayeed Ali vs. Sgt. Bubba Lee West

Because these men were tied to each other by a leather strap at the wrist, they could never get further away from one another than 5 feet. That led to this match being almost a constant brawl, which not only played to these guys strengths, but also was really appreciated by the crowd. Ali was able to live up to his words and touch all four corners uninterrupted to win the match. (C-)

Triple Threat Match:

Akima Brave vs. Remmy Skye vs. Matthew Keith

This match was like a well-made meal in that it had three different “flavors” or styles and they all meshed well together. Akima’s role was that of a brutish brawler, Remmy Skye was the flashy risk taker as always and Keith was the technical savant. Since all three could have legitimately been pushed in to the title picture, every near fall was a nail biting affair. The conclusion was reached after Akima Brave hit Remmy Skye with his finisher. Matthew Keith slyly tossed Akima over the top ropes immediately afterwards and pinned Skye for the victory. (C+)

Having picked up the victory, Matthew Keith celebrates in the ring. (C-)

Remmy Skye is disappointed with the loss, but Akima Brave is livid. He gets in Remmy’s face, blaming him for not kicking out. Remmy isn’t all that confrontational until Brave sucker punches him and the two have a wild brawl to close out the show. (C-)

CZCW Trifecta

Friday Week 2 July 2014

A sold out crowd at Grissom Auditorium (2000)

The Trifecta

The show opens up with Matthew Keith who holds both the CZCW Xtreme and Tag Team Titles, as well as being the number one contender for the CZCW Coastal Championship.

Matthew Keith: Tonight, all you fans are going to witness something historic. 1 man will hold all the titles in CZCW.

Crowd: Boooooooo!!!!

Matthew Keith: You can boo all you want, but when I beat Mikey James tonight, I’ll have to hire an assistant to carry around all my gold.

The Guru’s entrance music hits and the CZCW Commissioner comes out to the top of the ramp, mic in hand.

The Guru: Matthew, I told you last week at Battle on the Beach that you would not be allowed to let your other titles collect dust while you pursue the CZCW Coastal Championship and I intend to hold true to my word. That’s why you better get ready, because up next you and your brother defend your tag titles against The Shoot Club!

The crowd pops as Matthew Keith looks incensed. ©

As the tag match is getting ready to begin, without anyone touching him, Matthew Keith goes to the ground in “agony”, holding his knee. He’s saying he can’t go on and needs a replacement. Out comes KC Glenn to fill the “injured” Matthew Keith’s spot in the match. (D)

Tag Team Championship Match:

The F.O.B. (Greg Keith and KC Glenn vs. The Shoot Club (Marc Speed and Al Coleman)

These four did a good job of getting the crowd warmed up with an even, competitive title bout. All throughout the match, Matthew Keith sat at ringside, really selling his injured knee. It wasn’t until Marc Speed locked KC Glenn in a Cross Armbreaker. Greg Keith was laid out on the outside and Matthew Keith looked like he didn’t know what to do. After the submission had been locked in for nearing half a minute, Matthew Keith had a miraculous recovery, sprung to his feet and looked to interfere, but right as he did, Glenn tapped. The Shoot Club become the new CZCW Tag Team Championships. (C+)

Sparrows and Weasels

Backstage, Flash Sparrow are having a conversation.

Matt Sparrow: Listen Flash, no ill will towards you, but I want to go on hiatus from this team and get something going in my singles career. I need to get some momentum going against some easy guys like High Flyin’ Hawaiian or Air Attack Weasel.

Speak of the devil, Air Attack Weasel was walking by and overhears Matt Sparrow saying this and confronts him.

Air Attack Weasel: Easy win, huh? Well if you’re such a badass, why don’t you let me decide your opponent tonight?

Matt Sparrow: Why would I do that?

Air Attack Weasel: I’ll let you decide mine.

After a brief pause, a slight smile comes across Sparrow’s face.

Matt Sparrow: I accept. (D-)

The commentators Mitch Naess and Ernie Turner talk about what happened last week where The American Cobras defeated Rich & Famous, possibly costing them a shot at the tag team titles. (D+)

Rich And Famous (Jake Idol and Jackpot Jordan) vs. The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane)

Like their first bout, Rich and Famous seemed to be the superior team. Unlike the first bout, The American Cobras didn’t get hot right at the end of the match and kind of steal the victory away. Instead, Jackpot Jordan made sure his team got back in the win column by using the ropes for leverage on a pin of Storm Spillane. (D)

Matt Sparrow vs. ???

With Matt Sparrow already in the ring, Air Attack Weasel comes out and introduces Sparrow’s opponent for the night, new CZCW signing Findlay O’Farraday. Weasel also informs Sparrow that his match will be a hardcore match, which just so happens to be Findlay’s specialty.

Matt Sparrow put up a fight, but Findlay O’Farrady is one of the best hardcore wrestlers in the world. His creative and violent use of weapons put Sparrow away, kicking his singles career off on a sour note. (D-)

The American Flash vs. Jonnie Perez

These two had a quick, luchador kind of match, but it just didn’t really work as the guys had no in-ring chemistry. In the end, The American Flash fares better than his former tag team partner, winning his singles debut. (E+)

Another Match

Backstage, Matthew Keith is in The Guru’s office.

The Guru: What do you think you were doing earlier?

Matthew Keith: I’m not letting you put me in matches that are just going to weaken me for my title match tonight.

The Guru: Is that so? Well I called you back here to let you know that you will also be defending your Xtreme title tonight in the first ever triple threat I Quit match against Sayeed Ali and Sgt. Bubba Lee West.

Matthew Keith: You’re CRAZY if you think I’m stepping in the ring with those two.

The Guru: Well, it’s already been booked and it’s a title match. If you don’t want to compete in the match, you are no longer the Xtreme champion.

Matthew Keith tosses the Xtreme title onto The Guru’s desk and storms out of the office. (C-)

Air Attack Weasel vs. ???

Matt Sparrow comes out and announces that Air Attack Weasel will be fighting California Love Machine…

And Frankie-Boy Fernandes…

And Chet Chavez in a 3 on 1 handicap match. (E)

In the match itself, Weasel held his own against the first two competitors, CLM and Frankie-Boy Fernandes. Just as Weasel was starting to get tired, Chet Chavez was tagged in. Going Coastal wasn’t really paying attention to their partner, who ended up laying down for Air Attack Weasel and giving him the pin. (D)

California Love Machine, Frankie-Boy Fernandes and Matt Sparrow are all pissed that Weasel apparently outsmarted Matt Sparrow and got Chet Chavez to lay down for him. (E)

El Mitico Jr. vs. Ted Brady

Ted Brady, known for being a bitter veteran who hates the up and comers, comes down to the ring, talking bad about his opponent El Mitico Jr. (E+)

El Mitico Jr beats Ted Brady in a relatively forgettable match. (D)

A video package plays, showing the history of the Sgt. Bubba Lee West and Sayeed Ali feud. (E+)

I Quit Match for CZCW Xtreme Title:

Sayeed Ali vs. Sgt. Bubba Lee West

This was certainly their best match, with the blood boiling over on both sides. It was a brutal, vicious affair from the start. Instead of quitting, West ends up passing out from the pain, forcing the ref to stop the match, making Sayeed Ali the new CZCW Xtreme Champion. (C-)

CZCW Coastal Championship Match:

Mikey James vs. Matthew Keith

Tonight definitely didn’t go as Matthew Keith expected it to. He thought he would be leaving with all three titles, instead, he may have been leaving with none. Throughout the match, Keith’s sense of urgency and semi-desperation was palpable. James had several near falls, but Keith just wouldn’t go away. In the end, Keith got the win in a great match, possibly making his sacrifices tonight all worth it. (B-)

CZCW Summer Showdown

Monday Week 1 August 2014

The show has a sold out crowd at Grissom Auditorium (2000)

2 out of 3 Falls

Rich and Famous (Jake Idol and Jackpot Jordan) vs. The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane)

The show opens up with two tag teams going at it in a 2 out of 3 falls rubber match. Prior to the match, a video shows their previous two matches. (22)

In the actual match, Rich and Famous win in two straight falls cleanly, leaving no doubt that they are the superior team. (49)

The Guru announces from his office that later tonight, there will be a 6 man tag team match, pitting Air Attack Weasel, Chet Chavez (the man who laid down for him in last month’s handicap match), and Findlay O’Farraday (the man who defeated Matt Sparrow last month) against Matt Sparrow and Going Coastal (California Love Machine and Frankie-Boy Fernandes). (31)

Elimination Triple Threat:

El Mitico Jr. vs. Kashmir Singh vs. Frankie Dee

This was a solid seven or eight minute contest with extremely fast paced action. Kashmir Singh had a nice debut, eliminating El Mitico Jr, but Frankie Dee ended up winning the match after eliminating Singh. (48)

Sayeed Ali vs. High Flyin’ Hawaiian

On his way out to the ring, Ali cuts a promo.

Ali: Now that I’ve finally taken out “Sarge”, I’m going back to my roots. Back to where I’m supposed to be: taking out the trash. Now my opponent’s job won’t be on the line tonight, but it undoubtedly will be soon. Especially after the beating he’s going to get right now. (56)

Ali squashes High Flyin’ Hawaiian and finishes him off with a GBH Driver. (39)

After the match, new CZCW signing Rudy Velasquez comes out, mic in hand.

Velasquez: Sayeed, these CZCW fans may think you are some kind of lame garbage man, but I know who you really are. You’re from the hood, just like me. And you weren’t no garbage man, neither. In fact, you were the garbage back in the day, Sayeed. Selling drugs to kids, stealing from stores around town, anything to make sure you were taken care off, f*** everyone else, right?

Ali: Who the hell…

Velasquez: Let me finish, Ali. I’m not trying to diss you, man. Quite the opposite really. I dig your “take no prisoners” attitude. That’s why I’m out here. I want to form an alliance. Together, our fighting skills and lack of morality will allow us to achieve anything we want in this place. Just think about it, alright?

Velasquez drops the mic and leaves. Ali is left with a puzzled expression. (41)

Insane Machine vs. Frankie Perez

After assaulting Perez, last month, Machine furthered his momentum, beating Perez in a back and forth contest that ended with his signature move, the Termination Kick. (56)

Colossus vs. Jonnie Perez

Colossus takes part in another squash match, this time dismantling Perez. (34)

Sgt. Bubba Lee West vs. The American Flash

Awaiting his opponent in the ring, West gets on the mic.

West: I may have “lost” to Ali last month, but remember, I never said “I Quit”. And if my memory serves me correctly, the stipulation of the match was that the loser had to say “I Quit” for a winner to be crowned. I was screwed, just like America is being screwed by the clown I face tonight. “The American Flash, huh? You’re a disgrace to America, boy. You’re certainly no hero and you don’t deserve to represent this great country. You’ll be lucky if I don’t rip that mask off your head after I’m through with you.

In the match, Flash tried to use his high flying style, but to no avail. He often found himself countered with powerful and brutal maneuvers. Despite being able to win the match legitimately, Sgt. West decided to wrap his dog tags around his fist and tag Flash with a huge overhand right. West then got the pin fall victory. He decided to leave Flash with his mask…at least for now. (32)

6 Man Tag Team Match:

Air Attack Weasel, Findlay O’Farraday and Chet Chavez vs. Matt Sparrow and Going Coastal (California Love Machine and Frankie-Boy Fernandes)

Findlay O’Farraday had a strong run in the match early, giving both members of Going Coastal all they could handle. Eventually, CLM tagged in Matt Sparrow who was able to force Farraday to tag out to Weasel. With Weasel and Sparrow finally about to face off, Sparrow tagged out. Later on in the match, California Love Machine hit Chet Chavez with his finisher. He was about to go for the pin when Matt Sparrow executed a blind tag and stole the victory. Sparrow celebrated after the match, but CLM and FBF were both unhappy with him for tagging in when he did to steal the glory. With the three men arguing, Air Attack Weasel looked to sneak attack Matt Sparrow, but missed and ended up clocking Frankie Boy Fernandes. This leads to a two on two brawl, with Sparrow and Weasel forming an unlikely alliance against Going Coastal. (45)

Tag Team Championship Match:

The Shoot Club (Al Coleman and Marc Speed) vs. The F.O.B. (KC Glenn and Greg Keith)

Apparently, Matthew Keith declined this title rematch, allowing Glenn to once again replace him as his brothers tag team partner. Just like the first time Glenn and Keith tagged up against The Shoot Club, the young guns came up short. With a second straight title loss, Glenn and Keith will likely go to the back of the line for a title shot, if they even want to continue tagging up. (62)

Akima Brave vs. Remmy Skye

Brave blamed Skye for losing him a title shot last month, which really came through in this match. Brave punished Skye with clubbing blows and powerful moves for long stretches of this match. Skye made an exciting comeback and looked to be just moments away from victory when Brave hit him with the Samoan Suplex for the win. (55)

CZCW Coastal Championship:

Matthew Keith vs. Mikey James

When Keith was the challenging for the title, his desperation and urgency to win the title was palpable. Coming in as the champion, however, he seemed a lot more calm and confident. James still brought his A game and gave Keith a run for his money, but Sam Keith’s son again proved to be too much for the former champion, winning and defending his title. (75)

CZCW Heritage

Tuesday Week 1 September 2014

The show has a sold out crowd at Grissom Auditorium (2000)

The show starts off on a kind of sour note, with Sgt. Bubba Lee West talking himself up in the ring and talking all the rest of the wrestlers

backstage down. Eventually, Findlay O'Farraday had heard enough and comes down to the ring for an impromtu match. (39)

Hardcore Match:

Findlay O'Farraday vs. Sgt. Bubba Lee West

Much of this match was a contest of who could hit who harder. It was a brutal match with neither man willing to back down an inch. In the end,

Findlay blasts West with an Atomic Spinebuster onto a steel chair for the win. (48)

Forced To Team Up

Backstage, Matt Sparrow and Air Attack Weasel are in The Guru's office. They look like a couple of schoolboys in the principals office after they

were caught in a fight.

Matt Sparrow: I didn't take a hiatus from Flash Sparrow to compete in six-man tag matches and tag up with Air Attack Asshole, Guru! I want to

focus on my singles career, not fight Going Coastal for the millionth time.

The Guru: Going Coastal have a legitimate beef against you two after last month and what can I say? The fans love watching you two squirm. And what will make you two squirm more than having to co-exist on the same team?

Air Attack Weasel: What do we even get if we co-exist? I have zero interest in succesfully teaming up with this blogging prima donna. All I want

is a one-on-one match with him to prove not only am I not an easy fight for him, but that I'm better than he is.

Sparrow and Weasel start bickering back and forth, getting in each others faces.

The Guru: Guys...guys...GUYS!

Both men fall silent and put their attention back on the commissioner.

The Guru: If you win, you get what you want.

Matt Sparrow slowly raises his hand.

Matt Sparrow: What happens if your useless teammate loses you the match?

Air Attack Weasel: Yeah, what happens then?

The Guru: I guess we'll cross that bridge when we come to it. As for now, I need you two to leave my office. You have a tag team match to prepare

for. (39)

Forging Your Own Path

Akima Brave comes down to the ring, fresh off his big victory over Remmy Skye.

Brave: I've got some stuff I want to get off my chest. There are a lot of things I can't stand in this world and CZCW Coastal Champion Matthew

Keith is a walking, talking representation of a lot of them. The way he prances around here like hot shit just because of his daddy makes me sick.

The only reason he finds himself in the positions he does is because of his legendary father, Sam Keith. What many of you may not know is I also

come from a legendary pro wrestling family. I changed my name when I entered the business, not out of shame, but out of a need to earn everything

off my ability and not because of my last name. Matthew Keith sees things in a completely opposite fashion, trying to use his name to cut whatever

corners he possibly can. Well tonight, when we meet in the middle of the ring, I'm going to show you what a habit of cutting corners looks like

against a person who actually works for everything they have. Not only will I be giving you a life lesson Matthew, but I'm also going to take

that belt. (61)

Colossus vs. Chet Chavez

Another squash match for Colosuss. (27)

Sayeed Ali vs.El Mitico Jr.

Ali was certainly the better man in this bout, but it also wasn't a squash match by any means. Ali was well on his way to a victory when

Rudy Velasquez poked his nose into the match, ensuring the victory for Ali, but his interference did seem a bit excessive. (48)

After the match, Velasquez talks to Ali without a mic.

Velasquez: You see? See what we can accomplish if we work together, man?

Ali looks a combination of confused and angry. He slides out of the ring and walks off without answering Velasquez. (42)

Matt Sparrow and Air Attack Weasel vs. Going Coastal (California Love Machine and Frankie-Boy Fernandes)

Sparrow and Weasel actually put their differences aside and work together well as a team, although there was still obvious tension between them.

Weasel ends up getting the pin on Fernandes. (52)

After the match, Weasel and Sparrow get in each others faces, but don't exchange blows. They know they finally have their chance not far in the

future. (34)

Remmy Skye vs. The American Flash

There was no bad blood behind this contest, just a good ol' fashioned one-on-one match. They had a fast paced and high flying bout, with Skye

generally getting the better of it. Flash held his own, but Skye ended up picking up the likely victory, although both men came out of the match

with more momentum than they had going in. (62)

CZCW Coastal Championship:

Matthew Keith vs. Akima Brave

Brave set this match up earlier in the night as a bout between a man who cuts corners and a man who does everything the "right" way and that is

how the match played out. Keith used every dirty trick in the book, while Brave fought a clean fight. After a ref bump, Brave got what could've

been a ten count, but there was no official to count the win. The fight continued for a while until the momentum changed back in Keith's favor

and he got his patented submission, the Proton Lock, locked on. There is still no ref though. Brave makes it to the ropes, looking for a rope

break, but again, no ref. Keith pulls Brave back to the center of the ring, slaps the Proton Lock back on and the ref starts to stir. Brave taps

and the ref just sees the tail end of it. Matthew Keith wins. (81)

Would like to see mega pushes for Ted Brady and Air Attack Weasel and the formation of Weaselmonkey

The Dirt Sheet

In a move that has devastated at least one CZCW fan, Ted Brady has been cut from the company. He only competed in one match, a loss to El Mitico Jr, which he reportedly threw a tantrum about losing. He was brought in to the company to put over some of the younger guys, but didn't seem to be interested in filling that role so he was let go.

CZCW Proving Ground

Tuesday Week 3 September 2014

2000 People at Grissom Auditorium

Evaluation

The show opens up with The Perez Brothers and The American Cobras in the ring, getting ready to tag up. The Guru comes out to the top of the

ramp with a mic.

The Guru: Hey guys, don't mean to put you under more pressure than you already have, but you've all been doing pretty poor lately. Management has

been in my ear trying to get me to cut some of the dead weight around here. Let's just say this match could go a long way in keeping you off my

"To Fire" list. Good luck! (34)

The Perez Brothers (Frankie and Jonnie Perez) vs. The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy and Storm Spillane)

Frankie Perez was obviously a level above all the other competitors in this match. His brother struggled against the Cobras, but when Frankie

was in the match, it was all Frankie. Frankie Perez ends up getting the pin on Malloy, leaving The American Cobras and possibly even his brother

wondering about their contract status with CZCW. (44)

Frankie Dee vs. Kashmir Singh

This was kind of a forgettable mid card match where Frankie Dee went over. (45)

Make A Name

Backstage, Greg Keith and KC Glenn are in Commissioner Guru's office.

Keith: Guru, I know you're the commissioner now and don't want to be all buddy buddy with us anymore, but we need a favor. Now that Matthew is

the champ, he wants nothing to do with us.

Glenn (with a southern drawl): Ya, just 'cause Parker left, don't mean The F.O.B. hasta be over, but Matt's purty much made it that way. I don't

begrudge 'im or nothin',but it has left me and his brother in a bad spot. Everyone just acts like we're worthless now and we gotta prove to 'em

we ain't.

The Guru: What to you suggest boys?

Keith: I want to face Mikey James. Everyone thinks he's the number two guy in this company. I want to prove I'm better than he is and just

as good, if not better, than my brother.

The Guru: Consider it done. KC?

Glenn: Well, I spose I hadn't put much thought in to it. I'm really fine with whoever, just as long as I get a chance to show what I can do.

The Guru: Well, the Insane Machine has been itching for an opponent. What do you say?

Glenn: Fine by me.

The Guru: Well I'm glad I could be of service. (In a stereotypical Indian accent): Thank you! Come again!

Both Glenn and Keith stare blankly at The Guru who cracks up laughing.

The Guru: The Simpsons? Apu? No? Just get out of here and get ready for your matches. (46)

Rudy Velasquez vs. High Flyin' Hawaiaan

In his official in ring debut, Velasquez puts a beatdown on HFH. He could've beaten him long before he finally pinned his shoulders to the mat.

It was obvious Rudy wanted to send a message. (36)

After the match, Ali comes down to the ring. Velasquez continued to stomp on High Flyin' Hawaiaan while Ali seemed to think about whether he

wanted intervene or join in. He chose the latter. Velasquez and Ali both got in a number of stomps before they decided enough was enough. Ali

grabs a mic.

Ali: Don't get this twisted, Velasquez. I just hate HFH and will take any opportunity I can to punish him a lil' bit. Me and you...we ain't partnas.

So stay out of my business and I'll stay out of yours. (27)

CZCW Tag Team Championship Match:

Shoot Club (Marc Speed and Al Coleman) vs. Rich and Famous (Jake Idol and Jackpot Jordan)

The champs Marc Speed and Al Coleman continued to show their grappling dominance, looking the better team for much of this match. Unfortnuately

for them, wrestling doesn't always determine winners by who's better, sometimes it is who plays the game better. The conclusion of the match came as Idol distracted the referee and Jackpot hit Coleman with his briefcase filled with gambling money. He got rid of the briefcase, Idol let the referee resume his duty and we ended up with new tag team champions. (60)

KC Glenn vs. Insane Machine

This match was obviously booked to put Glenn over as a viable threat to the upper echelon of CZCW, but it didn't quite work. These two just

didn't really click in the ring, which made both of them come off looking the worse for wear. After a really back and forth match, Insane Machine

picked up the victory. (54)

After the match, Glenn offers his hand to Machine, congratulating him on his victory. Machine returns the favor. (39)

Greg Keith vs. Mikey James

Just like the match before it, this match was designed to make Greg Keith look like a future main eventer. It worked out a lot better for Keith

than it did for Glenn, as the match was actually pretty good. It ended up dragging for a little bit, so it was a relief when Mikey James finally

got the win, but it still largely served its purpose. (68)

Mikey James offers his hand in respect to Keith, but Greg refused, rolling out of the ring and walking off. (50)

CZCW 13

Tuesday Week 2 October 2014

Sold Out Crowd of 2000 at Grissom Auditorium

Another Shot

Matthew Keith starts the show out in the ring with the CZCW Coastal Championship draped over his shoulder. Before he can say anything, Brave

interrupts him.

Brave: Matthew Keith, you and I both know that I would've won our title match last month had the referee not been knocked out. I don't expect

CZCW to go back and make things right for me, but I do expect a rematch tonight.

Keith: No one makes demands of me, Brave.

Brave: I'm not making a demand Keith. I already went up the chain and not only got a rematch approved, but I got a special referee match to make

sure what happened in our first match doesn't happen again.

Keith: WHAT?!? Who's the special referee?

Brave turns to his side and extends his arm back towards the entrance as Greg Keith walks out in a black and white referee shirt. Matthew looks

pissed, as he and his brother have not been on great terms since Matthew abandoned the F.O.B. to go on his recent title run. (54)

Al Coleman vs. The American Flash

Coleman and Flash had a decent bout, but ultimately there wasn't any real heat or meaning behind it. Coleman ends up going over. (43)

Championship Rematch Clause

After the match, Al Coleman and Marc Speed inform the audience that they want their championship rematch against Rich & Famous at CZCW Hardcore

Halloween at the end of the month. Rich & Famous come out to answer the challenge.

Jake Idol: Before I answer your little challenge, I want the crowd to congratulate me and my partner Jackpot Jordan on our lucrative new CZCW

contracts!

Crowd: BOOOOOO!!!!!

Jake Idol: I don't bring up our new contracts to rub your noses in it guys, although that is an added plus. I bring up our contracts because they

have this nifty little clause written in them that no one gets a shot at our titles without a 20,000 dollar entrance fee paid directly to us.

Al Coleman: There's no way CZCW would put that in your contracts! That's extortion!

Jake Idol: Actually, it eliminates us from having to deal with unworthy riff raff, devaluing our titles in the process. It keeps the "undesirables"

away from the belts.

Marc Speed: Cut the shit, Idol. It's Shoot Club versus Rich & Famous at Hardcore Halloween whether you like it or not!

The Guru entrance music hits and the commissioner comes out, looking a bit ashamed.

The Guru: Actually guys, I'm afraid Jake and Jackpot are right. Without the entrance fee, they don't have to defend the titles.

Al Coleman: You can't be serious!

Marc Speed: How could you sign such a ridiculous contract for those two bums?

The Guru: CZCW Management thinks very highly of Idol & Jordan and wanted me to spare no expense to keep them under contract. I apologize, but

that is just the way things are.

Jake Idol & Jackpot Jordan have the biggest, most smug smiles on their face. Marc Speed and Al Coleman are incensed. Guru just looks like a dog

who peed in the house and knows he's messed up. (46)

How You Doing?

Backstage, we see a lovely woman standing around, looking as though she is waiting for someone. California Love Machine approaches her with a grin.

CLM: Hey! Farrah, right? I'm a huge fan of your work in AAA. And may I say you're even more gorgeous in person. Would you like to...

Frankie Dee comes around the corner and puts his arm around Farrah Hasketh.

Farrah: Frankie, this pervert was going to ask me on a date. I want you to deal with him.

Frankie Dee: No problem. I'll see you in the ring.

Dee pokes California Love Machine in the chest and then he and Farrah walk off holding hands. (42)

Matt Sparrow vs. Air Attack Weasel

This was a hard hitting, high flying affair, which was to be expected as this was the first real opportunity for these two to get their hands

on each other. The match was back and forth and competitive, but ended up having a rather inconclusive ending when Air Attack Weasel leapt to

the outside of the ring with a suicide dive on to Sparrow, taking both of them out for the refs 10 count. (52)

Frankie Dee vs. California Love Machine

Frankie Dee really put a beating on CLM for most of this match, but ended up losing after a flash pin fall. After the match, Frankie Dee and

Farrah Hasketh looked pissed, while California Love Machine looked ecstatic with his surprise victory. (36)

After a short break, we come back with 5 of the most unsuccessful CZCW combatants all in the ring. The Guru stands at the top of the entrance

ramp and informs them that the loser of this 5-way match will face Sayeed Ali in a dumpster match with their contract on the line. (54)

Chet Chavez vs. Marvel Malloy vs. Storm Spillane vs. High Flyin' Hawaiian vs. Jonnie Perez

This match was pretty chaotic for its relatively short duration. One interesting note about this match is that no one really tried to break up

any pin falls, as winning didn't really matter so much as just not losing. In the end, Marvel Malloy ended up being the unlucky loser after he

was laid out by Jonnie Perez. His tag team partner and best friend Storm Spillane was occupied fighting High Flyin' Hawaiian and was unable to

intervene. (38)

Hardcore Match for the CZCW Xtreme Championship:

Sayeed Ali vs. Findlay O'Farraday

As with most of the matches involving either of these two, this was a weapon fest where both guys clobbered each other with whatever was in arms

reach until one of them fell down and didn't get back up. The finish came after Findlay O'Farrady looked to spear Ali through a table, but missed

and went through the table himself, allowing Ali to capitalize and get the pin fall. (54)

Special Referee Match for the CZCW Coastal Championship

Matthew Keith vs. Akima Brave with Greg Keith as Special Guest Referee

For most of this match, Greg Keith played things right down the middle, not favoring his brother or Brave. You may notice I said for most of the

match. This is because after nearly 20 minutes, Matthew Keith got the Proton lock on Akima Brave. Brave was working his way to the ropes when

Greg Keith claimed he tapped and ended the match. Brave gets in Greg Keiths face after the match, but gets clocked with the Coastal Championship

by Matthew. (65)

CZCW 14

Saturday Week 3 October 2014

Sold Out Crowd of 2000 At Grissom Auditorium

Insane Machine vs. Sgt. Bubba Lee West

This match heavy show starts out with a weird, yet intriguing match up. West was more of a clubbing brute in this match up while Insane Machine

was the quick moving, high flier. Machine ends up putting together a string of flashy moves at the end and defeating West cleanly. (53)

Colossus vs. El Mitico Jr.

This looked like another squash match for Colossus, but in reality, El Mitico became the first person to put up a fight againt Colossus. He still

got tossed around quite a bit, but he was able to get in some offense here and there. Colossus still remained undefeated, picking up another win

after the Damnation Drop. (42)

Frankie-Boy Fernandes vs. Rudy Velasquez

Velasquez has another street fight-esque beatdown, treating Fernandes like he owed him money. Velasquez always looks like he is sending

a message in his matches with his ferocity. (49)

Dumpster Match:

Marvel Malloy vs. Sayeed Ali

After losing the five-way match, Marvel Malloy had the unpleasant task of taking on "The Garbage Man" with his contract on the line. Ali was well

on his way to ending Marvel Malloy's CZCW career when Velasquez got involved, keeping Ali from putting Malloy in the dumpster. It ended up costing

Ali the match, meaning Malloy's contract remains intact. (43)

After the match as Velasquez started walking to the back, Ali emerged from the dumpster like a bat out of hell. He got on the mic and went on an

angry rant.

Ali: Velasquez, I told you to stay outta my motherf***in' business and you didn't listen. At Hardcore Halloween, its you and me in a Street Fight.

Kashmir Singh vs. Mikey James

This is obviously a case of CZCW lacking a plan for Mikey James, so they just match him up with Kashmir Singh to give him a win. It was reported

after the show that Kashmir Singh suffered a broken jaw, almost certainly from Mikey James' stiff kicks. (60)

Frankie Perez vs. KC Glenn

I think Perez was the betting favorite going into this match, but Glenn showed up and really impressed in this match, eventually picking up what

is possibly the biggest win of his career. (51)

Marc Speed vs. Remmy Skye

This match like a lot of this show was great in ring action, but didn't have much of anything behind it. Speed picked up the win. (68)

CZCW Hardcore Halloween

Saturday Week 4 October 2014

3044 at Gorski Ballroom

The show starts off with a video package, showing what led to our opening match. The package shows a backstage argument between Greg Keith and

KC Glenn. The Guru walks by and overhears the argument.

The Guru: You guys both want the other to take a backseat while you try to climb the CZCW ranks? Well at Hardcore Halloween i'll give you both

the opportunity to force the other to stay in your rear view mirror while the winner cruises on towards CZCW gold. And since it is Hardcore

Halloween, the match should have an especially violent flair to it. I'm thinking Steel Chair on a Pole Match. It is a lot easier to make someone

do what you want when you can legally hit them with a steel chair. (35)

Steel Chair On A Pole Match:

KC Glenn vs. Greg Keith

Glenn and Keith have a nice competitive match to open up the show. They progressively go from a friendly contest where they were each trying to

outdo the other to a match where they were actually trying to do bodily harm. About 10 minutes into the bout, Glenn was able to scale the pole

and acquire the steel chair, allowing him to legally use the weapon in the match. Things didn't go to plan for Glenn, because as soon as he got

the chair, Keith hit him with an epic low blow, dropping Glenn down onto his belly, holding his manhood. Keith then grabbed the steel chair and

despite warnings from the ref that he was not allowed to it, he whacked Glenn with it as soon as he staggered back to his feet. The ref called

for the bell, ending the match as a disqualification victory for KC Glenn. Glenn didn't really look like a winner though, as Keith beat the hell

out of him with the steel chair before deciding he had enough, leaving the ring to a chorus of boos. (71)

Backstage, Al Coleman and Marc Speed are walking.

Al Coleman: Man, how are we going to come up with 20 grand for that title shot!?!

Marc Speed: I know it's so ridiculous. It's not like one of those cheesy sitcom posters with a contest for exactly the amount we need is going

to be right around the corner.

They turn the corner. There, freshly printed off of Microsoft Word is a shoddily made poster, annnouncing that tonight, there will be a "Tag Team

Table Elimination Match for 20,000 Dollars! Sign up sheets are by the coffee pot in the breakroom.

Marc Speed and Al Coleman look at each other incredulously. (50)

Hardcore Fatal Four Way Match:

Findlay O'Farraday vs. Jonnie Perez vs. Remmy Skye vs. Sgt. Bubba Lee West

There wasn't much of any heat behind this match, but they were still able to do some good spots and put on an exciting match. The commentators

put over the fact that Perez was put in this match as a possibly zero to hero scenario, but he definitely looked way more like a zero than a

hero in this one. The beginning of the end occurred when West and Perez really got into a brawl that concluded with a suicide dive from Perez

that took both men out. In the ring, Skye went for yet another one of his high risk manuveurs from the top turnbuckle, but Findlay O'Farrady

caught him mid-air and Atomic Spinebustered him damn near through the ring. 1...2...3! Findlay O'Farraday gets the impressive victory! (41)

In the locker room, Mikey James approaches Frankie Perez.

Mikey James: Hey Frankie. Have you heard about the tag team table thing tonight? Both of us have kind of been wasting away the last couple months

with not much to do. I was thinking maybe we could reunite the Cali Dragons and go after that 20 grand.

Frankie Perez: That sounds great, Mikey! I'll see you tonight. (56)

Shoot Fight:

California Love Machine vs. Frankie Dee

This match took place in Frankie Dee's world, a rip off MMA 8 sided cage. The match had the feel of a real fight, with a lot of stiff strikes

and realistic tactics. Dee usually had the upper hand and ended up getting the win. After the match, Dee's girlfriend and manager Farrah Hasketh

stood over California Love Machine and bad mouthed him for even trying to get with her. (43)

Ladder Match:

Air Attack Weasel vs. Matt Sparrow

The ladder match stipulation was initially added as a way to give these two highfliers an avenue to display their excellent aerial skills, but it

ends up being a convenient way to determine the next contender for the CZCW Xtreme Championship. This match displayed an obvious bad blood between these two men, but both men also had an innate desire to one up the other. When Sparrow did a highflying move, Air Attack Weasel would come right back at him with an even crazier move. In the end, both men ended up near the top of the ladder, reaching for the #1 Contendership Contract for the CZCW Xtreme Title. They exchange punches for a few moments, each time teasing that they might fall from the ladder. Eventually, Weasel hits Sparrow with a huge European uppercut, sending him crashing to the mat. Weasel pulls down the contract and wins the match. (52)

The American Cobras are sitting backstage.

Marvel Malloy: You've been my best friend my whole life Storm, but these past few weeks you haven't been watching my back like a good friend

should. First, you let me lose that 5 way match to force me into a win or no longer have a job match. Then you don't even help me in my match

that could've ended my career? What would've happened if that thug didn't interfere?

Storm Spillane: I'm sorry, Marvel. You're right. Would 20,000 dollars make it up to you?

Marvel Malloy: Hell yeah!

Storm Spillane: Then let's put the past in the past and focus on winning that match. (23)

A video showing the interactions between Sayeed Ali and Rudy Velasquez plays prior to their match. (29)

Street Fight for the CZCW Xtreme Championship:

Sayeed Ali vs. Rudy Velasquez

Ali was coming down the entrance ramp for this match when Velasquez attacked him from behind. The two fought on the outside of the ring with

Velasquez largely getting the better of it his sneak attack for nearly five minutes before finally they rolled in the ring and the match was

officially under way. Once the match was officially under way, Ali was able to get his footing and make things more competitive. Over the course

of the match, Ali smashed at least three garbage cans over Velasquez and countless garbage can lids. At one point, Velasquez was on his knees

and Ali had two garbage can lids, smashing them back and forth on either side of Velasquez' head. Shortly after that, Ali hit Velasquez with a

devistating GBH driver to retain his title.

(52)

American Flash is backstage cursing his luck that his tag team partner decided to go off and compete in singles matches right before they couldve

had a shot at 20,000 dollars. Insane Machine walks up an points to the poster for the 20,000 dollar tag team table elimination match, then points

at The American Flash, then points at himself. Flash smiles and then says, "You've got it, dude." (32)

Last Man Standing Match:

Colossus vs. Kashmir Singh

With Singh injured and in his last match for CZCW (He was signed to an exclusive deal by TCW), the company and Singh decided it was best he just

go out putting one more guy over. Colossus tossed him around and won the match cleanly and easily in just a handful of minutes. (35)

20,000 Dollar Tag Team Tables Elimination Match:

Shoot Club (Marc Speed and Al Coleman) vs. The Cali Dragons (Mikey James and Frankie Perez) vs. The American Cobras (Marvel Malloy and Storm

Spillane) vs. Insanity Inc. (Insane Machine and The American Flash)

This match was largely chaotic early on. Many of the competitors would brawl on the outside, allowing a few men in the ring to have the

spot light and the focus. The first elimination came via a double superplex by the American Cobras, putting The American Flash through a table in

the ring. The second elmination took place a few minutes later with The American Cobras still in the ring against Shoot Club, with The Cali

Dragons outside knocked out. Marvel Malloy ends up clotheslining Marc Speed to the outside and Storm Spillane goes to top turnbuckle. Coleman

shakes the ropes, causing Spillane to fall and rack himself on the turnbuckle. He then got behind Marvel Malloy with a table set up behind them.

Malloy reached out for Spillane as Coleman German suplexed him through a table. With just The Cali Dragons and Shoot Club left, the match went

on for several more minutes, with a lot of close calls. In the end, the Cali Dragons come out on top with a flashy superkick-powerbomb combo

that sent Al Coleman through a table. (52)

After the match, Mikey James and Frankie Perez get on the mic, still short of breath from the intense match.

James: It kinda sucks that Shoot Club wasn't able to win this match and cash in the prize money to challenge Rich & Famous. However, me and

Frankie decided that we will. So Jake and Jackpot, get ready. We're coming for ya. (47)

30 Minute Ultimate Submission Match for the CZCW Coastal Championship:

Matthew Keith vs. Akima Brave

Brave isn't known as being some world class technician, and while he didn't exactly adopt a catch-as-catch-can style, he certainly worked on his

submission game. Keith got the better of things early on and got the 1-0 lead after his slick grappling led to a Proton Lock that Brave just

couldn't escape. Brave came back, utilizing his more brutish offense, really stomping on Keiths back and legs. About 20 minutes into the contest,

Brave got the equalizing fall with a sharpshooter. The final ten minutes had a real sense of urgency, with both guys locking on submissions and

countering like crazy. With two minutes left to go, Brave was forced to tap to a second Proton Lock. The match seemed all, but over for Akima.

The match resumed with a minute thirty left to go. Brave charges forward at Keith who drops down and rolls out of the ring. Brave chases after

him and Keith looks to play keep away. Brave is able to cut him off and clotheslines the hell out of him, sending him flying head over heels.

Following the clothesline, Brave immediately grasps for Keith's ankle and puts him in an ankle lock. 15 seconds left. He cranks. Keith screams.

10...9...8...7...still no tap. Cranks again. 6...5...4...Keith hovers his hand above the mat, ready to tap. 3...2...1...0. Just as the match ends

Keith taps like mad. Brave celebrates, thinking the match is going in to a sudden death period, but the ref informs him it was after the time

limit and Akima crumples to the mat in frustration. (72)

Keith celebrates after his hard fought, nail biting title defense. (63)

Saturday Week 1 November 2014

3292 at Gorski Ballroom

The show opens up with The Cali Dragons in the ring. Mikey James has a briefcase in hand.

James: Well boys, we got the money. Where's our title shot?

Rich & Famous entrance music hits and the champs come down to the ring. Jackpot takes the briefcase, begrudgingly counts the cash in the briefcase

and then clobbers James over the head with the briefcase. He then instructs the referee to start the match. (37)

CZCW Tag Team Championship:

Rich & Famous (Jake Idol and Jackpot Jordan) vs. The Cali Dragons (Mikey James and Frankie Perez)

After the pre-match cheap shot, this ended up being a bit of a 2 on 1 match early on, with Jake and Jackpot making quick tags in and out, working

on Frankie Perez. Once James recovered, The Cali Dragons took over and got the better of things for the next several minutes. Seeing their titles

slipping away, Jackpot again goes for the briefcase. James sees Jackpot plotting and cuts him off, leading to a brawl between the two on the

outside of the ring. In the ring, Frankie Perez goes for a super kick, Idol ducks underneath it, counters with a low blow and rolls Perez up.

1...2...3. Rich & Famous retain! (52)

Marc Speed is in the ring, mic in hand.

Speed: I find it funny that last week at Halloween Havoc, this company held an "Ultimate Submission" match and I wasn't involved. I am hands down the best submission artist not only in CZCW, but in the world. I've arranged a little showcase tonight to show you all my superiority. (47)

Gauntlet Match:

Marc Speed vs. Chet Chavez, El Mitico Jr. and High Flyin' Hawaiian

Chavez was the first victim. He was tapped in less than 2 minutes. HFH was up next and he didn't fair much better. El Mitico Jr. put up a bit more

of a fight, but still ended up tapping. (49)

Backstage, Matt Sparrow and Insane Machine run in to each other backstage before their match later tonight. They both sneer at each other, kind of

having a tiff over their mutual tag partner, The American Flash. (34)

Elsewhere backstage, Air Attack Weasel is holding his contract for the CZCW Xtreme Championship. A very large and somewhat small shadow are cast

on the wall behind him. Weasel turns around to see a smug smile on Rudy Velasquez' face with Findlay O'Farrady standing next to

him, cracking his knuckles.

Velasquez: Nice contract, Wease. It's mine now. Hand it over.

Weasel: Yeah, right. I earned this contract at Hardcore Halloween. You had your shot and you lost.

Velasquez: I'll give you one more chance, Weasel. Give me the contract, or I'll have my associate Findlay here "acquire" it from you.

Weasel: You're not getting...

Findlay socks him mid sentence and the two men stomp on him until he stops squirming. Velasquez picks up the contract with a satisfied look on

his face. He hands some money over to Findlay and goes about his day. (50)

Frankie Dee vs. Frankie-Boy Fernandes

Dee took care of Fernandes' friend and tag team partner California Love Machine at Hardcore Halloween, leading to this match, where Frankie-Boy

looked for revenge. Their was no revenge to be found here though, as Dee dominated him from start to finish, winning the match in a very tidy

fashion. (38)

Insane Machine vs. Matt Sparrow

As has been the case for most of Sparrow's singles run, this was a disappointing and frustrating contest for Matt. He was always a step behind

and Machine ended up picking up the victory, further frustrating Sparrow. (52)

Hardcore Match for the CZCW Xtreme Title:

Sayeed Ali vs. Rudy Velasquez

So Rudy Velasquez stole Air Attack Weasel's number one contendership contract and cashed it in against Sayeed Ali. This didn't last as a straight

up match for very long, as Air Attack Weasel made his presence felt early on in the match. Rudy Velasquez' paid muscle Findlay O'Farrady also

got involved in the match, which eventually caused it to descend into chaos and the match was thrown out. (37)

Akima Brave vs. Al Coleman

Coming off his crushing defeat to Matthew Keith at Hardcore Halloween, Akima Brave needed a victory to get his head right. Brave continued to

want to show his submission prowess, feeling robbed after his performance against Keith netted him nothing. He continued to mix his tenacious,

in your face power style with a more refined, technical approach, eventually subbing Coleman who's no slouch in the submission world. (57)

Non-Title Match:

Matthew Keith vs. Remmy Skye

Keith doesn't have a real number one contender, so he was given a non-title match against Remmy Skye. This was an open match with many near falls

that Keith eventually ended up coming out on top of. (75)

After the match, Marc Speed comes out and demands Keith give him a title shot. Keith says he hasn't earned it. The Guru comes out.

The Guru: I agree, Matthew, he hasn't earned it. But next show, I'll give him an opportunity to. I'll put him in a one-on-one submission match with Akima Brave. If he wins, he gets a shot at your title Keith. (59)

CZCW 17

Saturday Week 3 November 2014

3484 at Gorski Ballroom

The show opens up with CZCW Tag Team Champions, Rich & Famous, in the ring.

Idol: Now that we've beaten the Cali Dragons and taken their money, I think it will be a LONG time before another challenger has the ability

to put up the entry fee to challenge us for our titles. So you'd better get used to seeing these belts around our waists.

The Guru comes out.

The Guru: Over the past week, CZCW lawyers have been closely examining your contracts to see just how far this little entry fee stipulation of

yours stretches. While it is true that any team will have to pay 20,000 dollars to face you for the belt, there is nothing in the contract that

says that a team has to pay that fee every time they want a shot. It is essentially a one time fee.

Jackpot and Jake's smiles fades as they see where The Guru is going with this.

The Guru: So since The Cali Dragons have paid that fee, they can still challenge you for the titles.

Jackpot Jordan: But they've already had their chance!

Jake Idol: Surely they would have to re-earn the opportunity?

The Guru: Of course. Tonight, The Cali Dragons will have a match against a fearsome duo for a second shot at the belt.

Jake Idol: That's a relief.

The Guru: Yes. Tonight, The Cali Dragons will face El Mitico Jr. and High Flyin' Hawaiian for a second shot at your belts.

Jackpot Jordan: WHAT!!?!?

The Guru smirks and walks off. (51)

The Cali Dragons (Mikey James and Frankie Perez) vs. El Mitico Jr. and High Flyin' Hawaiian

As is to be expected, this was a squash match with The Cali Dragons coming out on top. (43)

Al Coleman vs. Matt Sparrow

In an interesting bit of matchmaking, Al Coleman and Matt Sparrow face off. Both could possibly be considered the weaker man in their respective

teams and have struggled mightily this year. Coleman generally got the better of things, with Sparrow's frustration growing throughout the match.

Coleman ends up being the winner, possibly turning a new page for him while digging Matt Sparrow's hole a bit deeper. (55)

Backstage, Sgt. Bubba Lee West runs into the American Cobras. The Cobras are half arguing, half pouting about their recent run of form.

Sgt. West: What's the matter fellas?

Marvel Malloy: What's it to you?

(Back in March, West got in a brawl with The American Cobras after asking if either one of them would team up with him against The Perez Brothers)

Sgt. West: I know we didn't exactly get off on the best foot. It just frustrates the hell out of me to see young Americans like you squandering your potential. With the right leadership and a good attitude, you guys could be CZCW Tag Champions in 6 months.

Storm Spillane: Listen Bubba.

Sgt. West: That's Sgt. West to you!

Storm Spillane: Sgt. West...whatever it is your selling, we aren't interested.

Sgt. West: I'm not selling you anything. I'm providing you with an opportunity. I'm offering to whip you boys in to championship shape, boot camp

style.

Marvel Malloy: You...want to be our drill instructor or something? You do realize this is pro wrestling, not the military right?

Sgt. West: You do realize that American military training instills the best discipline and mental fortitude known the world over, don't ya? And

what does it take to become champion?

Storm Spillane: I'm gonna guess discipline and mental fortitude.

Sgt. West: Rhetorical question, Spillane!

Marvel Malloy: So if we do agree to this mentorship...or whatever, we become champions. What do you get out of it?

Sgt. West: To be perfectly honest, I'm getting up there in age. I'd like to set up my own sort of training facility or team. Long after I'm out

of active competition I want the commentators to say, "There goes the champ trained by Sgt. Bubba Lee West."

After some silence and some thinking, Storm speaks up.

Storm Spillane: I say we give it a run, man. What do you think?

Marvel Malloy: I...don't know. I guess.

Storm Spillane: Great! So, what next Sarge? What's the first step to becoming champion?

Sgt. West: Well, tonight I think it would be good for me to scout your talents individually. See where you guys are at and where you need to go.

Sound good?

Storm Spillane: Sure.

Sgt. West: Great! I'll go set up some match ups with Guru right now!

West leaves.

Marvel Malloy (mocking West): "The best way to become a great tag team is to compete in singles matches." What a joke! You see how that's working

out for Matt Sparrow right now don't you?

Storm Spillane: Give it a shot. Nothing can be worse than where we are right now. (34)

Storm Spillane vs. Jonnie Perez

After a short break, we come back for our first of the two American Cobras singles matches. Spillane beats Perez in pretty tidy fashion, with

Sgt. West on-looking at ring side. After the match, he has Storm drop and do push ups. (41)

Marvel Malloy vs. The American Flash

Marvel's singles match didn't go nearly as well. In fact, ended up losing. He held his own throughout, but Flash was just a step ahead. After the

match, West also made Malloy do push ups, though Marvel was much more reluctant to do them than his partner Storm was. (42)

Colossus vs. California Love Machine

CLM got in probably the most offense anyone has ever gotten in on Colossus, but still came up on the short end of the stick. The fans also didn't

really have time for the encounter, as has been the case with most of Colossus' CZCW matches. (35)

The Guru is backstage at his desk, looking like he is doing paper work, when Remmy Skye comes in.

Skye: Hey dude...I uh...I wanted to talk to you about something, man.

The Guru: Sure. What is it, Remmy?

Skye: I uh...I just feel like I don't have a lot to do, man. I used to be the champ and now I'm not really...uh...doing anything.

The Guru: So you want a more prominent role?

Skye: Yeah!

The Guru: How's this: You face the loser of the Marc Speed/Akima Brave match tonight at the next show.

Skye: That's awesome, man. Thanks Guru!

The Guru (imitating Apu): Thank you! Come again!

Skye: Hahahaha. I love the Simpsons! I also have the sudden urge for a Slurpee...(68)

Hardcore Tag Team Match:

Air Attack Weasel and Sayeed Ali vs. Rudy Velasquez and Findlay O'Farraday

This was a usual tag team match, just with weapons littered around the ring and a no DQ stipulation. Velasquez and Farraday didn't work as a team,

not that Weasel and Ali worked as a well oiled machine or anything either. After a match full of bickering, Farraday ended up laying his own team

mate out, costing his team the match. Just like last show, all four of these men end up in a wild brawl. (49)

No Disqualification Match:

KC Glenn vs. Greg Keith

After Keith illegally used a chair in their Hardcore Halloween match, Glenn went to The Guru and asked for a no DQ match for revenge. The no DQ

stipulation really didn't come in to effect all that much, but Glenn did get revenge, or at the very least, got the victory. (64)

Submission Match:

Akima Brave vs. Marc Speed

Having lost to Keith at Hardcore Halloween, Brave will not be able to challenge for the title again for quite a while, but he could play the

spoiler for Marc Speed's title hopes. Unfortunately, these two didn't really click for a good match and the whole thing just seemed to drag on.

Most assumed that Speed would win, otherwise who would be next in line for the title? Those people assumed rightly, as Speed picked up the

submission victory and the title shot just over 18 minutes into the match. (58)

After the match, Keith comes out to the top of the entrance ramp and he exchanges a few words and some intense stares with Marc Speed. (64)

Overall Show Rating: 58
