IT'S SHOWTIME FOLKS!

IN THE RING:

IMMORTAL kicks off the show, as Eric Bischoff hypes Abyss in the main event against James Storm. Bully hopes he messes him up, cause he deserves to have a shot after Bobby Roode chokes again.

ROB VAN DAM and, eventually, MR. ANDERSON come out to dispute that claim, until STING comes out. Sting says he’s sick of the bickering, and books a Triple Threat Number One Contenders match at Turning Point. Until then, he tells the trio to get rid of some tension in the 10 man tag tonight.

MATCH 1: Austin Aries def. Brian Kendrick in 11:08 to retain the X Division Championship after using the ropes for leverage.

In a solid, quick paced X Division Title match, Brian Kendrick proved that he was more than a worthy opponent for Austin Aries. This obviously affected Aries' performance, as he resorted to underhanded tactics to defeat Kendrick to retain his title.

http://i.imgur.com/tjUFnoK.jpg

Post match, Aries looks to hightail out of the ring and the arena, but he’s stopped by STING. Sting tells Austin he isn’t getting away that easy. Sting tells him to cancel his plans for Sunday Night, cause he will face Brian Kendrick again…. in a LADDER MATCH! Aries is livid!

MATCH 2: Devon, D’Angelo Dinero and Eric Young def. Gunner and The Robbies after Gunner abandoned his team, allowing Dinero to pin Rob Terry after a DDE

Three fan favorites in The Pope, Devon and Eric Young teamed up tonight in a 6 man tag against a trio that TNA fans dislike, Gunner, Robbie E and Rob Terry. The key player in this match was Gunner, as he left Robbie E and Rob Terry hanging, following the advice of fellow stablemate and manager RIC FLAIR. D’Angelo Dinero took advantage of this, hitting Terry with a DDE to win.

As Pope and Devon celebrate, EY is focused on Gunner and Flair, who look on from the ramp. EY motions for the pair to come in the ring, but Flair tells him to save it for Sunday.

TNA Cameras catch Knockouts Champion VELVET SKY warming up for her upcoming Knockouts tag team match. Velvet talks about Karen Jarrett and Gail Kim, saying that she worked too hard to lose to Gail, who is only getting the shot as a handout to Karen Jarrett. Velvet says she knows that she will overcome any challenge Karen places in front on her.

MATCH 3: Gail Kim and Madison Rayne def Brooke Tessmacher and Velvet Sky after Gail pinned Brooke after an Eat Defeat in 8:10

Since returning to TNA and surprisingly aligning with Karen Jarrett, Gail Kim has had her eyes on Velvet’s Knockout Championship. However, Velvet has proven that she will fight back against the trio. This match saw Gail and Madison isolating the inexperienced Tessmacher, as Gail was able to pin one half of the Tag Team Champions after an Eat Defeat.

TNA cameras catch THE BRITISH INVASION and JEFF HARDY before their 10 man tag team match. Magnus and Williams say that they’ve had their problems with Hardy, but they’ll fight by his side tonight and prove to MEXICAN AMERICA that their days as champs are numbered. Speaking of the 10 man, Hardy wonders where Anderson and RVD are, as we see the pair arguing in the background before going their separate ways!

MATCH 4: The British Invasion, Jeff Hardy, Rob Van Dam and Mr. Anderson def. Mexican American and Immortal(Bully Ray, Jeff Jarrett, and Scott Steiner) in 10:07 after Magnus pinned Anarquia.

We received a pretty even 10 man tag match in a preview of 3 matches for Turning Point. The match descended into chaos, as almost everyone begins to brawl outside the ring, isolating Anarquia and Magnus in the ring. Magnus is able to nail a diving elbow drop to score the victory for the faces!

Post Match, the faces enter the ring to celebrate, but Mr. Anderson nails RVD with a Mic Check! What an asshole!

In our main event, James Storm defeated Abyss to gain some momentum heading into Turning Point. This match eventually turned into a brawl, as Storm met Abyss’s mite with his fists. Storm eventually put down the monster with a Last Call Superkick at 11:12.

Jeff Hardy and Rob Van Dam brawl with Bully and Jarrett around the arena, and Bobby cleans Steiner and Abyss out of the ring. Roode goes to check on Storm, but Storm almost superkicks him!? The partners have a tense moment, but Roode raises Storm's arm in celebration to end Impact.

For the World Heavyweight Championship:

James Storm© vs Bobby Roode

Comments: As much as I wish they had kept the belt on Storm in real life, you need those match and angle grades and I'm not convinced that Storm can do that for you. I can see him turning heel and retaining, but equally I can see Roode turning heel and winning. Either way, heel turn.

Number One Contenders' Match:

Bully Ray vs Mr. Anderson vs Rob Van Dam

Comments: I've picked Roode, so he needs a strong face contender. RVD fits that bill.

Ladder Match for the X Division Championship:

Austin Aries© vs Brian Kendrick

Comments: Just like your main event, this is a toughie. I'm siding with Kendrick just because I feel Aries is too good for the belt, just like he probably is in my diary.

For the Television Championship:

Eric Young© vs Gunner(w/Ric Flair)

Comments: Gunner winning the belt is exciting me more than EY retaining.

For the Tag Team Championships:

Mexican America© vs The British Invasion

Comments: I don't rate Mexican America as a tag team or a stable. Get the belts on the better wrestlers.

For the Knockouts Championship:

Velvet Sky© vs Gail Kim

Comments: I'm not sure about this one either. Part of me says Gail because of Karen and Madison, but then what? Where does Gail go? The story won't be reaching its conclusion either way.

Jeff Hardy vs Jeff Jarrett

Comments: Dastardly IMMORTAL!

Kazarian vs Christopher Daniels

Comments: He always was the Shawn Michaels of Bad Influence. :D

Crimson vs Matt Morgan

Comments: The worst undefeated streak in wrestling history continues!

MATCH 1: Austin Aries defeats Brian Kendrick in a Ladder Match to retain the X Division Championship

Aries, already upset about having to defeat his title in a Ladder Match against the man he cheated to beat last Impact, was extra careful in this ladder match. Kendrick lives and dies by the high spot, as he’s able to get some damage on Aries, but equally does some damage to himself when he crashes and burns. Kendrick is able to gain control and comes very close to winning the belt, but Aries hits him with a low blow and is able to retain the title.

After the match, Aries looks just as happy to still be alive as he is to retain his title, as Brian Kendrick was the one to crash and burn. Kendrick is able to pull himself in his own power as we see recaps of the last match.

However, Ric Flair has able to trip up Eric Young, distracting him enough to allow Gunner to F5 EY! Gunner wins the belt!

KAZARIAN is seen warming up backstage when AJ STYLES approaches him. He offers to watch his back tonight, but Kaz rejects him. He asks AJ to stay in the back, as this match with CHRISTOPHER DANIELS is a battle that he must fight on his own.

MATCH 4: Velvet Sky def Gail Kim in 7:26 to retain the Knockouts Championship.

In our Knockouts Championship match, Gail Kim looked great, confidently out-wrestling Velvet Sky. However, this eventually got the best of Gail, as she got too cocky for her own good. While setting up Velvet for an Eat Defeat, Velvet broke out and rolled her up to retain her title and shock Gail Kim!

MATCH 5: Crimson def Matt Morgan in 10:39 by pinfall

Two of TNA’s resident mastadons did battle in this one, as Matt Morgan looked to prove to Crimson that he was beatable. The TNA faithful were more than convinced of this, and an accidental ref bump knocked EARL HEBNAR silly for a bit. This allowed Morgan to hit a Carbon footprint on Crimson, and got the visual pin…. as Earl slowly regained control, and Crimson kicked out at 2! Morgan was obviously upset, but his anger cost him in the end, as Crimson gained control and hit a Red Sky to win the match!

MATCH 6: Jeff Hardy def Jeff Jarrett in 16:08 by pinfall

The two Jeffs of TNA did battle in this one, having a relatively even battle. However, one trend occurred throughout the match. Once Jeff Hardy got in control about 6 minutes in the match, SCOTT STEINER came strolling down to ringside. This distracted Hardy, allowing Jarrett to regain control. However, when Hardy roared back, ABYSS came down to ringside, again stacking the odds for Immortal. Finally, the mouthpiece and mind of Immortal, ERIC BISCHOFF, appeared at ringside, nearly guaranteeing a beatdown on Hardy. But, the beatdown didn’t occur during the match, as some botched interference from Bischoff allowed Hardy to nail a swantom bomb to win the match, barely getting a three count before Immortal attacked!

Post Match, Hardy has no time to celebrate, as Immortal start to beat down Hardy. Eric Bischoff helps Jarrett shake off the cobwebs, allowing him to nail Hardy with The Stroke. Jarrett and Immortal may have lost the battle, it looks like they won the war tonight.

MATCH 7: Christopher Daniels def. Kazarian in 13:06 by disqualification after AJ Styles' botched interference.

Kazarian put up one hell of a fight in this one, angrily going after the man that has attacked him multiple times over the previous weeks. Daniels was well aware of this though, so he took shortcuts throughout the match and slowed down the pace of the match. However, Kaz had more fight than Daniels expected, kicking out of the Best Moonsault Ever! This angered Daniels, and he quickly exited the ring and grabs a steel chair. Daniels looks to illegally inflict more pain on his opponent, before AJ STYLES runs from the back and stops him in his path. AJ yanks the chair away from Daniels and threatens to use it himself, before Daniels flops backwards!? Brian Hebner, who was checking on a possibly injured Kazarian, turned around…. and sees the evidence…. and CALLS FOR A DQ! Daniels steals it!

Daniels sells his back, but can’t wipe the smile off his face, knowing that he not only won the match, but also deepened the rift between AJ Styles and Kazarian. AJ spends his time pleading his case to the ref, before trying to explain to Kazarian what happened, but Kaz is having none of it, leaving the ring in a huff.

MATCH 8: Mr. Anderson def Bully Ray in 17:19 by pinfall. Anderson becomes the number one contender for the TNA World Heavyweight Champion.

With Rob Van Dam out cold backstage, TNA management called an audible and had Bully Ray and Mr. Anderson battle it out for the next shot at the TNA World Heavyweight Champion. Despite his tweener actions over the past couple weeks, Anderson was still cheered on by the TNA faithful, but that may have to do more with their hatred of Bully Ray. This was a solid back and forth contest with a decent chunk of time given to them, as Bully came very close to beating Mr. Anderson on multiple occasions. However, Anderson was finally able to put down Bully cleanly after a mic-check.

MAIN EVENT: Bobby Roode defeats James Storm to win the TNA World Heavyweight Championship in 17:28

In a somewhat disappointing main event, Bobby Roode and James Storm clashed for the ultimate prize in professional wrestling, the TNA World Heavyweight Championship. Unlike what many had expected, neither man turned on each other this match, having a respectful and competitive match. Both men powered out of each others finishers in this one, before Bobby Roode finally finished off Storm a Pay-Off to win the World Heavyweight Championship.

Bobby Roode is taken aback by his victory, as he finally accomplishes his dream and is handed the World Heavyweight Championship. We get some replays of the match, before we return to the ring to see Storm getting back to his feet. He looks at Roode…. then the title…. and shakes his hand! Beer Money celebrate to end the PPV!

Thanks for all of the predictions guys! I was really upset with the main event, and whole event grade as well, but my grades will improve over time. Anderson, Storm and Roode all got encouragement after the show, as I'm depending on those guys to help over the next few months.

For the Television Championship:

Eric Young© vs Gunner(w/Ric Flair)

Comments: The TV title should really help legitimize Gunner.

Jeff Hardy vs Jeff Jarrett

Comments: I bet no matter what, Jeff wins >_>

As much as the TV Title should help Gunner, I hope that he can do the same for the title! In my opinion, TNA mishandled the booking of the title(I kinda appeared and disappeared whenever they wanted it to), so I'm looking to book it on a more consistent basis.

As for the Hardy comment, spot on. :p

Number One Contenders' Match:

Bully Ray vs Mr. Anderson vs Rob Van Dam

Comments: Hard pick. Very.

Nice shot, Kijar. I was hoping that the match would look pretty open, especially with everybody thinking somebody would turn in the main event.

Ladder Match for the X Division Championship:

Austin Aries© vs Brian Kendrick

Comments: Just like your main event, this is a toughie. I'm siding with Kendrick just because I feel Aries is too good for the belt, just like he probably is in my diary.

For the Tag Team Championships:

Mexican America© vs The British Invasion

Comments: I don't rate Mexican America as a tag team or a stable. Get the belts on the better wrestlers.

The Roode/Storm match was a hard one to book for me personally. I personally really liked Roode's heel turn(It's the best TNA Championship run i've seen personally), and Storm heel turn would be very interesting, and he could pull it off well. But, I felt that the turn would ultimately be a little too rushed and too close to what actually happened. So, no turns - at least not yet.

As he currently stands, Aries is only a midcarder on his way up, not the solid upper midcarder/main event guy that is today. I really like both guys, but, since he had only won the belt at No Surrender, I wanted to get him in a good run before ascending him.

Also, I'm glad I wasn't the only one who really disliked Mexican America. Always felt out of place on TNA. Plus, Anarquia really sucks. As for the contest results...

IMPACT WRESTLING PREVIEW

But, it's expected that he won't be alone, as former champ James Storm and number one contender Mr. Anderson are rumored to appear! How will these two men react to his victory!

Also, Rob Van Dam was ruthlessly assaulted backstage right before the triple threat and lost his opportunity to win a title shot! The Authority of Impact Sting is looking for the attacker and plans to call out the attacker on Impact!

Immortal is expected to be busy, as they will address Jeff Hardy's victory over Jeff Jarrett at Turning Point! AJ Styles is in action, as he faces the annoying Robbie E! And, two titles are on the line, as Gunner defends his Television Title against Eric Young and Velvet Sky defends her Knockouts Championship against Mickie James!

AJ Styles vs Robbie E

Comments: Part of me thinks Storm will get momentum back, but maybe you see more in Jarrett? I don't know, tough one.
