K-Nection Posted June 6, 2015 Author Share Posted June 6, 2015 An update on the status of this dynasty...I'm currently on a project working on trying to up date the Hall of Records and bringing it out of the Dark Ages! While that might slow my progress down on this dynasty a little I feel I want to make a big contribution of honoring the past winners of the DOTM as these were great works and should be honored for all to enjoy! When my eyes nearly burn out of my sockets I will be bouncing back and forth between that and this dynasty. I love this concept and want to expand on it when the next WWE 2k game comes out and HOPEFULLY has more additions that got left out from the previous generations. Dane O'Hara was brought in recently to the HwF to help call matches when both Joffy and HasH were away from the announce team. It is also said that KC Glenn will take the seat next to Dane given they have a new found great chemistry! On a side note is Dane and Hard-1 has blossomed a friendship over their shared love of Bird Watching? Looks can be deceiving but you can't help but love the cohesion in the backstage environment! Joffy finds more work! Joffy Laine gives a radio interview and really puts Suicide Kyd Mercy Michaels over as a great friend. In other news Joffy Laine has also agreed to work shows for PWC as well as HwF. Head Booker Kevin Gaines aka HasH is allowing this to continue under the sole excuse that it will improve Joffy tremendously in the ring working both promotions but if PWC mishandle him he will take actions accordingly. USPW owner Sam Strong is retiring from the business in one month! He cited his age, and commented that now was a good time to retire, so that he could enjoy some peace and quiet away from the public glare of the pro wrestling industry. His greatest in ring contributions were him being a 4 time SWF Champion 1 time Burning World Champion and a 4 time TCW Champion. A full profile will be unveiled upon his retiring next month and also his named successor for USPW as well! New Champ in USPW falls flat! An abysmal run for Tyson Baine as the new USPW champion! It was reported that Nicky Champion had left the USPW for the land of the Supreme but on his way out the door he dropped the championship to Tyson Baine. While that match itself was a highly acclaimed match it seemed that was the last good match he worked. He is having some poor showings as of late with the biggest stinker being showcased on USPW's latest PPV Declaration of Independence! He successfully defended his title against Jim Powers but the match itself did not live no where close to the hype! They were featured as the main event and seemed to bring down the show as a whole because there were so many more high quality matches shown before! The semi main which it was between Danny Rushmore and James Justice became the MOTN. And the current USPW Women's champion Melody defending successfully against her opponent Belle Bryden turned out to be a better showing than the world title match. Tyson might be a great veteran but his time as the top guy probably needs to come to an end ASAP because he is obviously not the right guy to be carrying the company in the post Nicky Champion era! Political Aaron Andrews Aaron Andrews appears to be living up to his reputation, as inside sources say that he is very carfully forming political alliances within TCW. He is renowned amongst other workers as a master of company politics. A dream alliance of the internet darlings? According to inside sources, a deal has been struck between CZCW and CGC that will see them potentially share talent in the future. The "working agreement" is being seen as a positive step and evidence of a blossoming friendly alliance. CZCW is already currently apart of the COTT alliance and it's also rumored that COTT are using CZCW as test to see if CGC is a potential candidate to join the Confederation as a whole. James Atherton moves to the land of DeColt's Also in CGC news as Jamie Atherton is their newest addition to their roster. It was no doubt in short to the great run he was having in ACPW inbroiled in an ongoing rivalry with the Sky King. I want to wish Jamie luck in the land of the DeColt's as they have a really hard ceiling to break in the main event scene! WLW is now televised! It was confirmed today that WLW and Japanese Sports Vision 3 have come to terms on a new wrestling show called WLW Featured Attraction. The show is scheduled to debut next season! Friends in High Places Animal Harker was picked up and after 3 days of employment he became a strong friend of KC Glenn's. It is said that he is now in line for a push as he will be repackaged for use on the roster. PWC Already In Debt? After only one show they seem to have fallen in debt. Owner Steve Flash is probably questioning his decision of appointing their current booker Cueball Lynch and his excessive waste of resources. I will be keeping an eye on them in the next couple of months to see if they can turn things around. New USPW Owner! Dean Daniels takes over USPW and we have put together a small profile on the new owner.... Dean "The Machine" Daniels is a solid all-round competitor who doesn't really have any weak elements to his game, but equally doesn't excel at anything enough to ever be a true superstar. He spent his early career on the US independent circuit, but has achieved his most fame in Japan where he was a long-time regular with WLW before moving across to GCG in 2009. Since moving to GCG, he has been particularly active in the tag team ranks, working alongside Greg Gauge. Sam Strong Says Goodbye Sam Strong retires from the business and we have put together a short profile of his career.... The veteran Sam Strong is without doubt the most iconic and successful wrestler of his generation and is known throughout the world. Although his matches were often terrible, his charisma and look made him a hero to millions and he is still a household name to this day. After a glittering career that saw him dominate the two biggest American promotions of all time, SWF and TCW, for over two decades, Strong retired from active competition in 2005. Shortly afterward he became the owner of USPW, and his name value alone gave the promotion a massive boost as it allowed them to hire wrestlers who would otherwise have been out of their reach, and get a TV deal that would have been impossible without him. He has now successfully turned USPW into a genuine rival to SWF and TCW. Shocking Japanese Press Conference Sadhara Jimbo retires from the wrestling business in one month. He is the current owner of Pride Glory and Honor Wrestling. At the end of the press conference he named his successor to be his nephew Seiji Jimbo. Seiji Jimbo is a midcarder of the promotion and just being 25 years old he has a long career ahead of him. El Maestro's Last Orchestra The owner of CILL died in his sleep. My crack team of researchers have put together a bio of him.... El Maestro is a veteran of the Mexican wrestling scene, whose 23 year career as an active luchador ended in 2006 when he lost to Nicolas Lopez in a title vs. career match. He is synonymous with OLLIE, as he never wrestled for any other promotion during his entire lengthy career. He was never a great worker by any stretch of the imagination, but his firm grasp of psychology kept him watchable. In January 2001 he formed Comite Internacional de Lucha Libre (CILL), his own promotion, and has been working on-screen as their lead colour commentator. I'm writing up Volume 9 but I found another limitation to 2k15. You apparently can't have a tag team ladder match on the game. I was really dumbfounded by this and I know the Tag Team Titles were advertised to be held with a Ladder match but I'm not waiting for 2k16 to post this show! I've now decided to do a lot of the matches about 5 shows in the future so I know what I'm building to instead of declaring it and then finding out the limitation. I apologize to everyone about this! New Faces In the HwF New head booker Kevin Gaines (aka HasH) has released a statement on his twitter @ironlung addressing some of the new faces we seen at HwF Volume 9. "Really excited about the star studded injection we just included such as Nik Frost and Mainstream Hernandez. I promise to bring more talent into the Tri-State area in the following few months. It will be more than you can chew." My sources had confirmed that Nik Frost is actually the repackaging of MAW wrestler Robbie Wright! Mainstream Hernandez is still in fact James Hernandez which also happens to be a MAW alumni that is currently working for FCW, GSW and now HwF! He first broke into the sport with OLLIE, but it wasn't until he moved to MPWF in 2006 that his career really took off, turning him from someone who was merely a low-level prospect into an integral part of the roster and regular holder of title belts. He has a microphone in his hand and looks straight over at Mainstream Hernandez. "I've heard absolutely enough about your Bromance with Justin Beiber. Are you that in love with the kid that you can't stop cramming him down our throats! And after that epic match that you and KC Glenn just had you are going to tell us all he doesn't have it? You have 8 years of experience on the guy and he just took you to the limit! If anything I say you are just scared that he is going to eclipse you very soon so you come here just to put your foot on his neck. Well everybody knows that I never back down from a fight so why don't you try that with me! I say at Volume 11 how about you and me go toe to toe in that ring and see who comes out the better man!" Amazing Fire Fly vs. Twiztid Death Fire Fly recently lost two straight Tag Team Championship matches -- he isn't going over Death here. Arthur Dexter Bradley vs. Nik Frost I'm guessing this is the wrestler known in the SWF as Chill -- this could be NOTBTW's Derek Frost as well. Either way, ADB isn't over or good enough to beat him. Mainstream Hernadez vs. Nigel Svennson Mainstream is way, way too over to lose to Svennson as much I've used and like the guy. I'd keep him around either way-- he's got solid basics, and on top of that, he is a "local favorite". The Architect and Alan Parent are two other wrestlers posters can't get enough of. I'd take a flier on The Architect -- if nothing else, he is EXTREMELY fun to write for. There are a few more, but I can't remember them from the top of my head. Either way, ADB isn't over or good enough to beat him. Actually don't give me that much credit. It's actually a re packaged Robbie Wright. I reported it in The Conspiracy Theory prior to the show. I will let you in on a secret though....every time I completely re package somebody it's somebody from my own personal wrestling past. Either somebody I've worked in the indies or somebody I've worked with in the backyard. I'm doing this to make the character way easier to write because I'm not sure how a Robbie Wright would handle things but I definitely would know how a Nik Frost would! And remember I'm not following a normal true logic. I'm having the AI on 2k15 do a match and using TEW to reaction book it. We are going to start the news with the company I work for HwF and then as usual explain the rest of the world of wrestling. The Jamaican Sensation! Arthur Dexter Bradley or A.D.B. for short debuted on a promo and their is talk in creative that he might need a mouthpiece to go along with him! It's not that he is a bad talker it's just his dialect is so....authentic that most of our audience fail to understand him! PWC Breaks Out Firing Squad To combat their financial troubles they started the month pretty harsh and fired a lot of their talent! None of these workers were terminated do to performance issues and PWC Head Booker said the door is even open to them to come back eventually. Those names that got the axe were.....Brendan Idol, Jack Avatar, KP Avatar, our very own Joffy Laine, Sammy the Shark, and Rhino Umaga! When one door closes! This saying is said to be true for Joffy Laine. He may have been let go from PWC but Pittsburgh Steel Wrestling has noticed that he is starting to turn heads in the Tri-State. Head Booker Kevin Gaines will not combat the signing but will not move scheduled shows to accommodate this either. Since PSW is a direct rival in the region Kevin Gaines is taking a neutral stance on this signing for the time being but is not going to back down when they possibly run shows on the same day. Acid II to CZCW Acid II has confirmed to been hired by CZCW and Head Booker Kevin Gaines has given his blessing to work at both places. Kevin Gaines has made sure that his event bookings will not conflict with Acid's schedule at CZCW so there doesn't have to be a choice between the two organizations. Kevin Gaines is happy Acid gets the opportunity to better himself and is glad he gets double the opportunity to progress. Mikey James to TCW The current CZCW champion has been signed by TCW! CZCW and myself wish Mikey all the luck in the world at the big time! This is by no means CZCW's first main event loss but they continue to be a company that can breed there own stars and is usually durable to bounce back after such a loss. They have an extreme habit of breeding future superstars and Mikey is just one more example. American Elemental bound for TCW Only a week after Mikey James' departure American Elemental has been signed by TCW as well! American Elemental is a long time worker for Japanese fed WLW. A couple months ago he started working a couple shows for CZCW and that was all it took to grab the attention of TCW! CZCW is further proving it's reputation as a star making federation. Selfish Black Hat Bailey! Black Hat Bailey is refusing to drop his Empire championship to anyone on the roster but is dropping the ball himself! It is sad when a worker is so past his prime that he is oblivious to what is going on around him. The latest NYCW show last night featured Black Hat and Whistler in the main event battling for the championship and was unanimously the worst match on the card! The saddest thing is this was the main event match! It was greatly overshadowed by the semi-main that scored a 65 on our rating system. Black Hat's and Whistler's title match turned in an awful 27! Usually a booker is looking to do what is best for business but in this case he is just out to do what is best for him! New Wrestling Dojos Open Recently retired wrestler has opened up a wrestling dojo called The Wolverine Training. On the same day Man Mountain Cahill has opened up his wrestling dojo called house of Cahill. Both dojos are taking in recruits as we speak and we can't wait to see the fresh young studs to come out of these new dojo's. Harry Allen is New Costal Zone Champion! In an epic battle that could have main evented a USPW show Harry Allen defeats Masked Cougar to decide who gets the gold after Mikey James' departure. The show was awesome and that match ended up scoring a 75 according to our ratings system! Findlay O' Farraday Opens Up Pro Wrestling Max! Not much is known about this upcoming promotion as of yet. What is a man your age doing hanging out with a kid? Isn't that seem just a little bit creepy to anyone else?" Nigel steps in the ring and gets in Mainsteam's face. Nigel begins speaking again..."Why do we have to wait for the main event. I bet you the crowd won't get mad if I kick your head in right now!" The crowd was going nuts as the two stared each other down. All of a sudden Joffy stood up from the announce table. "Wait a second gentlemen! KC Glenn had to leave before the show began and he put me in charge for the night. Now on my watch the wrestlers will compete when they are scheduled to. If you have a problem with that then I have a problem with paying you guys Mainevent spot money when you are about to fight in the opening match!" Everybody will know you as the European guy that came...oh so close...you're welcome. I just made you famous. But I have another question. Is that all the competition there is in this lousy federation? I don't believe for a second that can't be it! Well I will find a new person to kick around next show! I need to keep myself in shape because I can't set a good example for my fans if I have ring rust all the time! I vow to everyone in the crowd that I will make somebody famous!"Grade-49 In the ring As soon as those words come out of Mainstream's mouth Paradigm's music hits! The crowd is shocked and can't believe the champ is coming out here. Paradigm has a microphone in his hand and starts to speak, "Whoa don't everybody get too excited! I did not come out here to fight! At least I did not come here to fight you." The crowd starts to boo at that statement but Paradigm continues..."Mainstream I'm a big fan of your work but I need this time we have left on the show to settle a score." Mainstream smiles and holds the ropes open so Paradigm can be let in the ring. Mainstream makes his exit after Paradigm steps through the ropes. "There is a big shaved gorilla been chasing me around for a while now and I'm sick of it! I am the champ and I call the shots. If I want to defend this title right now against you I will. If I want to never give you a shot at this belt I won't. But you continuing to threaten me, beat my buddies up, or just plain stalk me is going to end tonight! I am the Honor Wrestling Federation World Heavyweight Champion. If you have a problem with that then come out here and tell me to my face!" After about 2 minutes there is no answer so Paradigm is speaking again. "Is that how you want to play it? You are afraid I will kick your ass huh? Well you will never get a shot at this belt as far as I'm the champion!"Grade-30 The Announce Table Joffy Laine stands up and addresses the crowd. "If I could have everyone's attention! I want to announce a special event going to be held right here in this building. It is going to be held on Thanksgiving day and will be called More Than You Can Chew! Now KC Glenn has given me permission to make one match for that event and the match I have chosen to make is a World Heavyweight Championship match! It will be the champ Paradigm vs.....Buzz Reid!" Paradigm is throwing an absolute tantrum in the ring and is completely beside himself in reaction to this announcement. The lights cut off suddenly and you can hear shrieks from the female audience members. When the lights finally kick back on Buzz Reid has his hand around Paradigm's throat. He picks him up and chokeslam's him in the middle of the ring. It is said that Head Booker Kevin Gaines (aka HasH) is excited about the event coming up on Thanksgiving Day. So far there is only one match marked on the card but that should change as stories continue to develop.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Paranoia signs with PWMax!</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> You heard that correct folks! I signed with PWMax under a pay per appearance agreement. I'm going to work shows for them and HwF and Kevin Gaines is going to allow me to juggle both promotions. I'm excited about expanding my horizons and having an additional show a month to hone my craft.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Mexico's Finest dead at 34</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> In tragic news, it has been announced that Mexico's Finest, 34, died last night after a freak gardening accident. Tributes from friends and colleagues have been pouring in all day. We've put together a small bio to tell about his time in the business....</p><p> </p><p> Mexico's Finest is a scary individual from southern California. A former gang member who has done time in prison, he has been attempting to stay out of trouble and build a new life for himself via pro wrestling. He was discovered by Brother Grimm and brought into GSW in 2012 for his first taste of life in a 'name' promotion. His look and background have instantly given him a huge amount of credibility with GSW's fans. Mexico's Finest passed away in September 2013 at the age of 34.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Blonde Bombshell signs for SWF!</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> In a shock signing Blonde Bombshell signed a contract for the SWF. You might remember Blonde Bombshell from her TCW run in 2005. She has relatively stayed off the wrestling radar for years hinting at a return to TCW on the net. I am guessing those negotiations had fell through because now it appears that she is headed for the land of the Supreme.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Black Hat Bailey continues to ruin NYCW!</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> In another fumble with the latest NYCW show Black Hat Bailey who is the head booker and NYCW Empire Champion continues to drive himself as the main event and failing at it in the process. Last night he once again retained his title in a very poor showing only scoring a 29 on our ratings system compared to the 64 put up in the match before. Why Bailey insists on making himself the focal point of the promotion is beyond anyone's guess at this point.</p><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p><strong>Phoenix Wrestling Company closes it's doors....</strong></p></div><p></p><p></p><p> Losing a competitor in the business always creates mixed feelings with a lot of promoters. On the one hand that means that you yourself will live to fight another day. But on the other hand if you have no other direct competitors left than you might become stale from lack of competition. Kevin Gaines was sad to see this company go as they were doing the best shows in the Tri-State in their short time but had no business sense as it came to balancing their checkbooks. Kevin Gaines is considering looking into possibly hiring some of their former workers so they don't go completely unemployed but has not yet committed to anything.</p><p> </p></div></blockquote><p> </p><p> </p><div style="text-align:center;"><p>That is all for this podcast for now and be sure to catch us next time.
