The BOSJ Final was awesome! The main event, its aftermath, that shoutout to me, seeing KUSHIDA, Shelley, and Marufuji get wins. Loved it.

Then you toss this awesome news from you and MHero to us. Can't wait!

I'm really glad you enjoyed it man. :) The Bullet Club Heavyweights might not be having the best of luck at the moment but the Juniors are ruling the joint.

Hyped for the Dragon Gate crossover! Also, that chart officially proved that Sho is the best young lion! :p

EDIT: CURSE YOU MHERO!

:D

He picked up more points and had better matches so yes, Sho Tanaka confirmed best young lion. ;)

BOSJ XXII Finals Prediction Results

Lol at Naito pretending to nap during Tanahashi's speech. You write him so well.

Okada vs. Nakamura? Yes please! Between that and Naito/Tanahashi, Dominion's going to be a huge show.

Dominion is a big show, yeah. I've booked a very big venue too but that will all be revealed later.

Also, that's high praise considering it comes from such an experienced and talented writer such as yourself. Thank you for that man.

Dragon Gate X New Japan!!!!

Too Much hype in one dynasty!

Two dynasties technically! :p But thank you Jedi, I'm glad you're still enjoying the ride.

Prediction Results

Kijar: 7

Snyder: 7

Uncrewed: 6

Wolfman84: 6

Crackerjack: 6

rawcass: 3

More importantly than this one show, this signals the end of the Prediction Contest. Drum roll please!

Kijar wins again! Boo! So predictable. ;)

Congratulations to him, Uncrewed and Crackerjack. Prediction prizes are in the post. Commiserations to Wolfman84, who also predicted on every show but very narrowly missed out. Commiserations to Beejus too, he missed the last show but if he'd have scored 4 or over, he would have won a prediction prize.

But, thank you to each and every one of you for predicting and always leaving feedback.

What a great opening week for me with the predictions, what a turn for the worst after that, damn.

Looking forward to the collaboration. Just like NJPW, DG is one of those promotions that I hear a lot about but never get the chance to watch their shows.

You may find this post very helpful then. ;)

MHero's time to shine!~

There is a website - openthedragongate.com - that I don't quite know the legalties about that shows PPVs. Gaora hasn't shut it down copyright wise and it's been going for at least three years now. RealHero on Dailymotion also uploads PPVs after they happen in individual matches.

Live shows are shown on niconico - here are the links to this month's two Korakuen Hall shows December 3rd December 16th.

Jae at iheartdg has also recently opened up an international merch store which has an abundance of great wares, including these two DVDs of what is essentially the best of the summer season of 2014 and the best of the autumn season in 2014. The actual Dragon Gate website has the winter season DVD up already so Jae should hopefully get up on the site by the new year at the very least.

That's about all the helpful links I can think of in terms of buying and watching Dragon Gate shows. Make sure to check iheartdg regularly as well for show results and such, Jae does a bang up job of keeping results. Makes it easier to follow because not every show makes PPV or airs on Infinity - which is damn hard to actually watch outside of Japan.

Together Gate 2015 Preview

Together Gate Preview

With Mauro Ranallo

New Japan and Dragon Gate will be under one roof as the Osaka Castle Hall hosts Together Gate! A three-hour special airing live on traditional PPV, iPPV and streaming live on NJPW WORLD! My name is Mauro Ranallo and here is my official preview.

http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/NJPW%202015/50pxnjpw.png

Yosuke<3SantaMaria, Kzy, Toru Yano & Yohei Komatsu vs. Don Fuiji, Naoki Tanizaki, Kazushi Sakuraba & Sho Tanaka

Both Maria and Kzy are relatively low on the totem poles of their respective units (Millenials & Dia Hearts). Whilst Kzy fancies himself as something of a hip-hop artist, Maria fancies himself (or herself) to be as feminine as he/she possibly can be. I can well imagine that neither Fuiji nor Tanizaki will be in the best of moods, both are currently without a unit. Fuiji was left on his own after the split of We Are Team VETERAN last year whereas Tanizaki has been on something of a warpath since the Jimmyz were forced to disband.

Tiger Mask IV vs. Super Shisa

Two well-respected technical wrestlers, Shisa is prominently involved with talent training and development, spending a lot of time helping rookies perfect their craft. I'm anticipating an excellent exhibition here, Tiger Mask IV will perhaps want the victory more since he's came off a less than satisfactory run in the 22nd Best Of The Super Juniors.

Uhaa Nation & Big R Shimizu vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Watanabe

Uhaa Nation is really a spectactular athlete, he can press a man above his head and then flip over onto him with such remarkable ease. He's probably slightly scarier than Big R, who might be a rookie but perhaps has the biggest legs in the entire spot right now, the man is jacked! But they're not going to have anything their own way in this one. Tenzan has shown that despite his advancing years, he can still go at a fairly high level when he wants to and Watanabe is as hungry as they come. If nothing else, expect fireworks in this match up.

Jushin Thunder Liger, El Desperado & Dragon Kid vs. Flamita, K-Ness & Mascara Dorada

I'll be interested in seeing how Desperado works with his partners here. Dragon Kid is a fan favourite, one of the founding members of the recent formed Dia Hearts faction, he should be a familiar partner for Liger to team with. K-Ness is relatively new to the MAD BLANKEY setup, betraying We Are Team VETERAN to join the unit, he seems to have new life. He will be teaming with Mascara Dorada and Flamita, a Mexican luchador that could be 16 years-old, 18 or 20, depending on who you ask. He's a fabulous high-flyer and his skills could very well be the difference maker here.

CIMA, Gamma & Alex Shelley vs. Susumu Yokosuka, Ryo Saito & Kenny Omega

CIMA is a figure head in Dragon Gate and very much a hero to many fans. Despite being temporary members of MAD BLANKEY earlier in the year, CIMA & Gamma have been working hard to regain support from the fans as they make a title charge. On the opposite side of the ring, two veterans in Susumu Yokosuna and Ryo Saito will be looking to do much of the same.

Eita vs. KUSHIDA

Little do we know what kind of shape KUSHIDA will be in but he will need to be game for Eita, himself a very impressive competitor throughout the recent 22nd Best Of The Super Juniors. This should be a superb match.

NEVER Openweight Championship Match: Tomohiro Ishii © vs. Cyber Kong

The biggest member of the Dragon Gate roster, MAD BLANKEY's Cyber Kong weighs in at approximately 270lbs. He is truly a behemoth of a man and he should find it easy to completely overpower the defending Champion. Whether he can break the fighting spirit of the so-called "Stone Pitbull" is another argument altogether.

IWGP Junior Tag Team Championship: The Young Bucks © vs. Akira Tozawa & Shingo Takagi

Tozawa & Shingo, both members of the fan favourite unit Monster Express, had a 210 day reign with Dragon Gate's Open The Twin Gate Championship. They are formidable competitors and one would imagine that if they could, The Young Bucks would have dodged this match altogether. It's going to take some kind of miracle for these Championships not to change hands at the Osaka-Jo.

Shinsuke Nakamura, Kazuchika Okada & Rocky Romero vs. Masato Yoshino, Ricochet & Shachihoko Boy

CHAOS meets Monster Express in this Six Man Tag Team Match. Masato Yoshino is the current holder of the Open The Dream Gate Championship, Dragon Gate's premier title. He is so incredible fast in the ring, perhaps quicker than all three of his opponents. Ricochet needs no introduction, but it will be interesting to see him on the opposite side of the ring as Romero considering the two have forged some kind of friendship recently. Shachihoko Boy is the clear weak link, an experienced competitor but very much an underdog without much championship success to speak of.

Tetsuya Naito, Minoru Suzuki, YAMATO & Naruki Doi vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi, BxB Hulk & Maasaki Mochizuki

Suzuki-gun will unite with MAD BLANKEY and the New Japan Army unites with Dia Hearts for this wild clash in the final match of the evening. YAMATO & Naruki Doi are the current holders of the Open The Twin Gate Championships and it's hard to imagine anybody displacing them soon. BxB Hulk only lost the Open The Dream Gate Championship last week to Masato Yoshino and will be desperate to get back on track but he's been nursing a shoulder injury for some time now. I can't see any weak link here, even Maasaki Mochizuki's educated feet will hold up against the likes of Naito & Suzuki. This one will probably be decided by who simply wants it more and I can't imagine anybody being more determined to prove themselves ahead of Dominion than the #1 Contender, Hiroshi Tanahashi.

Please note: The members listed are from my own DG diary. The original MAD BLANKEY didn't have Yasushi Kanda in the line up. He's still plain ol' Jimmy Kanda in the real world. :)

Formed: March 2012

Info

Formed after Akira Tozawa and BxB Hulk turned on Blood Warriors leader Cima in January 2012, Mad Blankey officially came to being on the 1st of March 2012 when Tozawa renamed Blood Warriors as Mad Blankey. The name is a combination of Mad Capsule Markets and Blankey Jet City, two bands that fellow Mad Blankey founder BxB Hulk is a fan of and the distinctive colour scheme and logo came from Hulk. Also starting members of Mad Blankey were Tozawa and Hulk’s fellow Blood Warrior teammates Naoki Tanisaki (now known as T-Hawk), Cyber Kong and Kzy.

The next addition to the folds of Mad Blankey was the former Super Shenlong, now going by the name of Mondai Ryu - the name loosely translating to Problem Dragon - Ryu joining on the 18th of March.

Winning the 2012 Summer Adventure Tag League - turned into a trios league in order to crown new Open The Triangle Gate champions - Tozawa, Hulk and Tanisaki would go on to lose the championships on the 21st of October. Another failed championship challenge on the 23rd of December saw Cyber Kong kicked out of Mad Blankey after he was deemed to be responsible for many defeats. Naoki Tanisaki was next to leave Mad Blankey after the 5 on 5 elimination match which saw the Jimmyz beat Mad Blankey and Tanisaki exiled from Dragon Gate but not before one last match where Tanisaki teamed with the real Naoki Tanizaki to lose to Tozawa and Hulk (to read more about this, read the Jimmyz stable info).

The next major event in Mad Blankey history would happen in the famous Kouraken Hall on the first of August 2013. The main event of the show saw Mad Blankey face rivals -akatusi- in a “Losing Unit Disbands, Loser of The Fall Loses Their Mask of Hair” match. Mad Blankey would come out on top of that match with Tozawa gaining the pinfall over the then Super Shenlong III Yosuke Watanabe (now better known as Yosuke

Uhaa Nation was soon quickly thrown out of Mad Blankey for refusing to fight against Tozawa, Cyber Kong rejoining Mad Blankey on the same day.

Naruki Doi was the next to join Mad Blankey, turning on his long time tag team partner in Masato Yoshino to end World-1 International.

Dead or Alive 2014 saw the next big change in Mad Blankey as the 6-Man Cage Match - A staple of Dragon Gate, six men enter with a wager of either their hair or mask and the last man out of the cage loses. In 2014 the match saw BxB Hulk, Cima, Jimmy Kanda, Masato Yoshino, Mr. Kyu Kyu Naoki Tanizaki Toyonaka Dolphin and Naruki Doi face off in the cage with each man having a scapegoat to take the punishment if they lost. The scapegoats were Dragon Kid for CIMA, Shachihoko BOY for Yoshino, Genki Horiguchi H.A.Gee.Mee!! for Tanizaki, Jimmy Susumu for Kanda, Kzy for Doi and Cyber Kong for Hulk - saw BxB Hulk and Naruki Doi as the last two men. All of Mad Blankey - bizarrely including Cyber Kong - fought to save Doi and have Hulk lose the match but it was to no avail as Hulk grabbed the final flag - flags can only be grabbed after a pinfall or a submission and grabbing a flag is the only way to guarantee safety - and forced Kzy to have his head shaved. Post-match YAMATO ordered Doi and Hulk to shake hands and have thing settled in Mad Blankey. The two shook hands - not without some hesitation from Hulk. The peace didn’t last long as Hulk delivered a First Flash to both YAMATO and Doi signalling an end to his time in Mad Blankey.

With Hulk firmly out of Mad Blankey, the remaining members waged war on him. In two separate occasions, Mad Blankey faced off against Hulk in handicap matches with Hulk losing both times. The first time on the 5th of June saw Mad Blankey defeat Hulk to retain the rights to the name and logo of Mad Blankey, the second time on the 5th of August which saw Naruki Doi, Cyber Kong, Kzy and Mondai Ryu defeat Hulk with Doi becoming the “provisional” Open The Dream Gate champion - Hulk winning the championship from YAMATO on the 20th of July at Kobe World 2014. Hulk would defeat Doi in the deciding match to continue his first reign as the Open The Dream Gate champion.

In amongst all of this, the notorious and nefarious Dr Muscle joined Mad Blankey, unmasking to reveal himself to be former -akatusi- rookie Chihiro Tominaga, now known as Punch Tominaga due to his punch perm haircut [A haircut in Japan that is often associated with unsavoury types]

The next additions to the unit would come after a round of Doi Darts in late 2014. Doi Darts being a familiar concept in Dragon Gate used to decide many things in the past - Punch Tominaga actually being a recipient of this in the past. The darts would decide that CIMA, Gamma, Don Fujii and K-Ness would be the new recruits to Mad Blankey - all men formerly a part of We Are Team Veteran until they were forced to split by the Millenials. After some hesitation, all four accepted their fates as “Mad Blankey Zombies”.

Dr Muscle would return to the folds of Mad Blankey briefly in January 2015 as Kzy used this alias to win the Open The Brave Gate championship tournament caused by Flamita vacating the belt in late 2014. Initially appearing to be on the side of Mad Blankey, he would turn on them in a 6 on 6 All Out War with the Millenials by throwing salt in CIMA’s face, unmasking and declaring his allegiance lay with BxB Hulk’s Dia.Hearts unit. This marked the last remaining member of Mad Blankey to leave the folds.

Eight Man Tag Team Warfare

Yosuke<3SantaMaria, Kzy, Toru Yano & Yohei Komatsu vs. Don Fuiji, Naoki Tanizaki, Kazushi Sakuraba & Sho Tanaka

With all due respect to those of you more inclined to take your wrestling seriously, we're having none of it here. Maria starts us off, but none of her adversaries dare get near her, or him, whichever! Not until Fuiji mans up and locks lips with her! The big man is truly wooed as Yano runs in and rolls him up! Thankfully for all of us, Tanizaki is alive to break the pin up. The tomfoolery continues as Fuiji exchanges chops with Kzy. He invites Yano to join in - they both chop Fuiji, who chops them back. Then he invites Komatsu to join him. Eventually, all eight competitors are in the ring, seven of them taking turns to chop Fuiji before he returns fire across the line. Eventually, a chop from Tanizaki floors Fuiji and the two teams remember they're against each other as the match spirals into chaos!

Amid the bodies flying everywhere, Tanizaki finds himself alone with Komatsu. Although the young lion fights bravely and narrowly has the size advantage, Tanizaki has endurance coupled with a new-found viciousness and finishes Komatsu off with a stiff Casanova (a Running High Knee to a seated opponent).

Mask On Mask Special Interpromotional Singles Match

Tiger Mask IV vs. Super Shisa

Something for you technical wrestling purists, these two veterans of the sport do battle in a rather traditional hold-for-hold submission masterclass. From Shisa's Figure Four to Tiger Mask IV's Surfboard Stretch to a trading of Armbars, these two seem determined to see the other mask give up the match. But neither man is throwing in the towel and thus the two start busting out moves of greater impact. Shisa hits a lovely Double Underhook Suplex, but that's easily trumped by Tiger Mask IV's match-decisive Pumphandle Tiger Suplex.

Interpromotional Muscle Monsters Tag Team Match

Uhaa Nation & Big R Shimizu vs. Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Watanabe

From the comedy to the technical to the HOSS FIGHT! These four are well versed in the art of power wrestling and take it to each other right from the get go. Uhaa exchanges big manly shoulder charges with Watanabe but both tag out after a stalemate and allow Big R and Tenzan to go at it. As the battle wears on, it becomes immediately apparent that Uhaa and Big R are in better physical shape. Tenzan and Watanabe are both breathing heavy as Uhaa leapfrogs Tenzan, ducks underneath a lax Lariat attempt and then gives him a dropkick on the jaw before flexing his muscles to a chorus of "Too Easy!" chants. Big R gets in on the act with a Shot-Put Slam (Choke Slam Throw) putting Watanabe down at Uhaa's feet and the part-time Monster Express member puts the nail in the coffin with a dazzling Standing Shooting Star Press.

Mask, Mask & Mask vs. Mask, Mask & Mask

Jushin Thunder Liger, El Desperado & Dragon Kid vs. Flamita, K-Ness & Mascara Dorada

With an exhibition of flippy stuff starting this contest, the evil K-Ness and the dastardly El Desperado form an alliance! Taking the fight to everybody else, including their respective partners, MAD Suzuki-gun BLANKEY (temporary name) stand tall in the middle of the ring. That is, until the other four participants have recovered enough to fight back. Liger hits Desperado with a Liger Bomb as Flamita springboards in from the outside, onto the second rope, and hits a 450 Splash! As he makes the cover, Liger remembers that Flamita isn't actually on his team and just manages to break it up before the three.

As the good guys start to take the fight to each other, Desperado and K-Ness can be seen waving off the match as they betray their respective teams and hit the showers early. The match continues but the experience of Liger and Dragon Kid shines through. They allow their opponents to crash and burn on their signature high-impact moves - Dorada's Step-Up Tornillo finding only the padded floor and Flamita telegraphs the Spanish Fly and finds himself on the receiving end of a Rolling Koppu Kick. Liger then puts this one away, pinning Flamita with his deadly signature Liger Suplex.

Mix & Match Six Man Tag Team Match

CIMA, Gamma, Alex Shelley vs. Susumu Yokosuka, Ryo Saito, Kenny Omega

Omega has little in common with the five fan favourites making up this match. He cleans up Susumu, Saito, CIMA and Gamma with a broom before the match though. Perhaps they were looking a little dusty in their old age? Omega then props the broom on the apron in his corner.

On the other side of the ring, Shelley is a natural fit to CIMA, both men willing to sacrifice life and limb for the fans they perform in front of. They fight with heart here and they have to because Susumu and Saito are perhaps two of the most consistent professional wrestlers walking the planet. It is perhaps the emotion that proves to be their downfall, because as Shelley is hit with a Bridging German Suplex and Lariat Combo from Susumu & Saito, he looks to be out for the count. As CIMA is finally put to one side by Saito, Gamma becomes distracted by Omega's broom. He reaches for it but much to his heartbreak, 'The Cleaner' snatches it away. This peculiar moment proves to be pivotal because Gamma turns around in a Jumbo no Kachi-gatame (Lariat into a Pin) and the ex-Jimmyz have taken home the W!

He slides in and instantly goes to work with a salvo of knife edge chops to anybody that just so happens to be in his immediate vicinity. Although he finds Kanda to be tough work, this brief distraction allows both Eita and KUSHIDA to return to a vertical base and before long, MAD BLANKEY have been pushed out of the ring.

T-Hawk takes a microphone and tells the three villains not to go anywhere. If they want to win one for YAMATO or Doi or whoever is calling the shots in MAD BLANKEY these days, here's a chance. T-Hawk challenges them to a Six Man Tag Team Match and it appears that in jumping up on the apron, Kanda has accepted the challenge for an impromptu match!

Time Millenial Splitters vs. MAD BLANKEY

Eita, T-Hawk & KUSHIDA vs. Yasushi Kanda, Mondai Ryu & Punch Tominaga

As the bell rings, we expect Monchan to start out with Eita. But instead, Kanda and Punch dart into the ring, shoving referee Marty Asami aside so they can knock T-Hawk and KUSHIDA off the apron. If there was any presumptions that MAD BLANKEY were caught off-guard by the sudden challenge, the trio quickly extinguished that with a swift but decisive triple team allowing them to control the pace.

They do get their comeuppance of course, knife edge chops across the board from T-Hawk leave the three MB representatives sporting red chests to go along with the splash of red they already had on their respective attires. But even Dragon Gate's supposed superhero is not enough to turn the tide completely, it in fact also takes KUSHIDA's involvement before the fan favourites are starting to look pretty. As they so often do in times of trouble, MAD BLANKEY turn to the powder attack. KUSHIDA is their target, but Monchan's throw finds only the eyes of Punch Tominaga! From the Headscissors to the Hoverboard Lock and Punch is blindly tapping out!

NEVER Openweight Championship

Tomohiro Ishii © vs. Cyber Kong

Perhaps the largest representative on Dragon Gate's roster, the masked powerhouse Cyber Kong is the natural yin to the yang of Ishii's neckless aggression. Although the defending Champion starts well, Cyber Kong's gigantic frame dwarves Ishii's and he begins to dominate the match as he breaks Ishii's resolve. One can't help but sympathize when Ishii is being turned inside out by Cyber Kong's signature Lariat, affectionately coined the 'Pineapple Bomber'. MAD BLANKEY's resident enforcer can't seem to put his opponent away though, even his power isn't enough to break the resolve of the 'Stone Pitbull'. Ishii fights back with headbutts, chops, forearms and enzuigiri's. He uses every part of his body as a weapon, delivering knees to the gut and then a dropkick downstairs before a Sliding Lariat brings a near fall. With Cyber Kong seemingly weakening as he absorbs more and more punishment, Ishii's perseveres and seems to grow in strength. The Vertical Drop Brainbuster connects, a fitting coup de grace as Ishii's fighting spirit triumphs over raw power.

IWGP Junior Tag Team Championship

The Young Bucks © vs. Akira Tozawa & Shingo Takagi

A rather one-sided affair at the start, The Young Bucks find themselves both rocked by the scintillating pace that Tozawa & Shingo set. Ducking a pair of early Superkicks, Tozawa delivers a pair of Suicide Dives to Nick as Shingo delivers the 'Pumping Bomber' (Lariat) to drop Matt. Slowing the pace dramatically, an eye poke from Nick allows the defending Champions to isolate Tozawa and seize control of the match. But it's only a matter of time before the hot tag is made to Shingo and the Dragon Gate representatives have runaway momentum again. Seeing that his 'Biz Cliz' brothers are in trouble...

The Samoan gives Shingo a beat down and sets up for the Headshrinker DDT. But Tozawa grabs him round the waist from behind and then drills him into the canvas with his signature Delayed German Suplex! Matt Jackson comes in with a Superkick but Tozawa ducks it and keeps charging to hit a Tope Con Hilo, wiping out Nick on the outside of the ring. Shingo easily gets the better of Matt at the two trade blows, the duel culminating after Shingo hits the beautiful Made In Japan, a Pumphandle Half Nelson Buster! Nick claws at the apron but doesn't have the strength to shake Tozawa off and we crown new IWGP Junior Tag Team Champions!

CHAOS Collision With Monster Express!

Shinsuke Nakamura, Kazuchika Okada & Rocky Romero vs. Masato Yoshino, Ricochet & Shachihoko Boy

On-off tag team partners Romero & Ricochet kick off this clash, rocking from side of the ring to the other. Ricochet gets the better of the exchange and enjoys watching Romero tumble to the outside after eating a Dropkick. Then, in a fascinating exchange, Okada and Ricochet went toe to toe! Using his pace against him, Okada flattened the 'Future Of Flight' with a Flapjack. As the back-and-forth personal battles went on, it was Shachihoko Boy that was established as the weak link and suddenly, the match became very much an uphill battle for the Monster Express. Ricochet wiped himself and Romero out with a Tope Con Hilo over the turnbuckle, all but ending any chance his team might have had. Not one to back down from a challenge, Shachi's spirited effort saw him nearly roll up Nakamura but the earth shaking upset wasn't to be. Okada puts the Dream Gate Champion to one side with a Rainmaker and Nak picked up the W after a Boma Ye to Shachi.

In what is now a familiar trope, it's the 'King Of Strong Style' that requests a microphone. He thanks for the fans for supporting his team and hopes he can do battle with the Monster Express again one day. He compliments Yoshino, calling him a true champion even in defeat. He thanks Romero for his contribution but neglects to mention Okada, the cheek of it! 'The Rainmaker' asks for the microphone and Nakamura reluctantly obliges. Okada tells him that he dealt with Yoshino and left Nakamura the easier task of dealing with Shachi, how dare he not show appreciation for that! Nakamura shouldn't be so childish, it's just a bit of friendly competition. But if Nak doesn't want to team with him, that's perfectly fine. Okada guesses Nakamura will have no problems with the two of them being on opposite sides of the ring throughout the Dominion tour.

For the final match of the evening, BxB Hulk & Mochizuki enter first. Hulk takes time out to high five fans at ringside and enjoy the attention the Dia Hearts are receiving. Mochizuki's dead pan, no nonsense walk to the ring is a stark contrast and displays the dynamism of the Dia Hearts unit.

Ibushi enters next and receives a very strong reaction. Despite only being seen on major events, the 'Golden Star' still has a firm following. Tanahashi enters last and just like Hulk, he takes time out to make sure most front row fans get a high five from one of their heroes.

The devious MAD BLANKEY are out next, to their absolutely awesome theme music. YAMATO makes sure his hair is in place whereas Doi mouths off to the camera and the fans. Once in the ring, YAMATO takes a look in the mirror - yep, not a hair out of a place.

Suzuki is next to enter and takes a bloody long time pacing around the ring. Once Kaze Ni Nare hits the appropriate point, he kicks U-T away from holding the second rope and removes the towel covering his head. He sticks his tongue out at a less-than-impressed Tanahashi who throws him a look of disgust. Last but obviously not least, the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion Tetsuya Naito is next. He takes a lifetime just to walk down the ramp... so Tanahashi charges and meets him before he can even reach the ring! Red Shoes Unno calls for the bell and here we go!

Suzuki-Gun/MAD BLANKEY vs. New Japan Army/Dia Hearts!

Tetsuya Naito, Minoru Suzuki, YAMATO & Naruki Doi vs. Hiroshi Tanahashi, Kota Ibushi, BxB Hulk & Maasaki Mochizuki

Tanahashi is all over Naito, until Suzuki comes along and clatters the #1 Contender from behind. He's then met by Ibushi and the four New Japan representatives brawl up the ramp. Naito is seen desperately removing the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship from his waist, handing it to referee Red Shoes Unno for safe keeping as he tries to escape Tanahashi's clutches. Hulk is tossed shoulder first into the guardrail and looks in considerable pain. Meanwhile in the ring, Mochi is taken out by a smooth Dropkick from YAMATO. He adjusts his hair back into place and turns to the fans. The ladies scream. Obviously, the jealous males boo, how they wish they could look like YAMATO...

Eventually, the action does returns to the ring. Ibushi finds himself being isolated as MAD BLANKEY & Suzuki-gun work like a well-oiled machine. Doi slams Ibushi to the canvas as YAMATO springboards in with a picture-perfect Elbow Drop. Slightly less subtle, Naito gives Ibushi a Snapmare and Suzuki tags in simply to wrap on a Sleeper Hold. Mochizuki gets the hot tag and Suzuki-Blankey-gun (for lack of a better name) are all given a taste of the Veteran's educated feet. That is, until Doi takes him out with a dropkick to the knee and then hits the Bakatare Sliding Kick!!! Hulk breaks up the pinfall and gives Doi an Axe Kick to the top of the head for good measure. He follows this up with the First Flash (Side Kick to the face of a seated opponent)! But YAMATO breaks that up! We trade finishers across the board until we're left with Naito delivering Gloria to Tanahashi. As the 'Stardust Genius' ascends to the top rope...

... he leaps off with a Stardust Press but Tanahashi gets his knees up! Naito stumbles back to a vertical base only to be sent crashing back down with a Sling Blade. Now the #1 Contender is looking for something a little more high risk. But in another twist, Suzuki climbs on the apron and shoves him to the outside, Tanahashi crashing onto Ibushi! Suzuki enters the ring only for Mochizuki to slide in and nearly decapitate him with a Leg Lariat directly to the face. Mochi fights with determination but he's categorically outclassed. After a beautifully executed STO from Naito plants Mochizuki on his face, the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion leaps off with the Stardust Press for a second time tonight and this time, he connects. BxB Hulk makes a desperate reach to try and enter the ring but he's being held back by YAMATO and Suzuki-Blankey-gun emerge victorious.

As Tanahashi & Ibushi come back into the ring, Mochizuki is already trying to stand and shoves both of them away in an act of defiance. Hulk sees this and laughs a little. Naito starts the victory celebration, remarking that he never even broke a sweat. Tanahashi takes the microphone and apologises to the fans for defeat. They tried their best but ultimately fell short. He promised it would be all different at Dominion, that's 1v1 and not 4v4. He also called Naito out on his lies, everybody can see he had to give his best to win that match!

Naruki Doi snatches the microphone and wonders why the losers are still here. They lost, go home! He hopes that Matt Sydal & Ricochet don't steal the spotlight like this after they lose their Twin Gate shot at Kobe World. And as for the Dia Hearts, their success was so short-lived that the best they can hope for after Kobe is the Triangle Gate. What a joke of a group. In the background, YAMATO can be seen fixing his fringe.

BxB Hulk takes over now. He tells Doi that one day, Dia Hearts will reign supreme in Dragon Gate. But for now, he has to be apologetic, his shoulder has been bothering him for a while now and he couldn't give his all. He hopes it recovers in time for Kobe World. On the opposite side of the ring, Suzuki-Blankey-gun are dumbfounded by the sudden excuses. So much so that Naito interrupts Hulk and says that nobody cares. But if the losers aren't going to leave (as they should), then the winners will leave first. Besides, they don't want to spend another minute here at Osaka-Jo because it smells funny. With that, the fan favourites are left to close out the show.

Hulk, Tanahashi & Ibushi wheel around ringside giving high fives and apologising for defeat. Meanwhile, Mochizuki stands around looking thoroughly grumpy/bored. Tanahashi does his best to get the veteran to join in but he's having none of it and thus just stands still as Tanahashi busts out his air guitar and dances with BxB Hulk to close the show.
