It's set to be the most attended Tokyo Dome show that New Japan Pro-Wrestling have produced in over a decade. The promotion's ace, Hiroshi Tanahashi, will take on wrestling's hottest young property, The Rainmaker, Kazuchika Okada in yet another tale in their long rivalry for supremacy atop the NJPW totem pole. Elsewhere, WON's Most Charismatic, the King of Strong Style himself, Shinsuke Nakamura will take on the fast-rising multiple-time IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion, Kota Ibushi in a battle of redemption, honour and respect. And it's all set to air on PPV in the United States and, as well as worldwide on iPPV, and all over Japan of course. Now is the time for the tidal wave of momentum to sweep in, and everybody in New Japan Pro-Wrestling is looking to catch it, claim it and own it. So yes, welcome. I suppose my introduction didn't have a great hook like most diaries, but like most things NJPW related, the drama will be taking place in the ring. I feel like I'm returning home here and I can't wait to dive in, I've missed writing this promotion. A few things to note: no working relationship with GFW which means no Jeff Jarrett. No Fantasticamania this year, sadly I just don't have the in-game time to set something like that up. And a final disclaimer: I'm abandoning most of the venue traditions again. Look, I've tried my best to simulate this as close to real life as possible, but a National promotion in Japan with low economy and low wrestling popularity still draws 20,000 or something close for a PPV. At the end of the day, I have to make money. The Final Countdown Posted July 10, 2015 Share Posted July 10, 2015 I never really jumped into your first NJPW diary despite constantly meaning to, but I enjoyed your TNA one (which I'm assuming is dead now?), and I've also gotten big into NJPW this year, so I'll definitely be following along here. I'll be interested to see what if any changes you make at WrestleKingdom. Something tells me you'll go in a different direction for at least one of the big two matches.
