New Japan Pro-Wrestling is delighted to welcome <strong>Katsuhiko Nakajima</strong> full-time to our very talented roster. The Junior was very impressive throughout the Best Of The Super Juniors tournament in Kenny Omega's absence, even being named MVP for his consistently excellent match quality. Nakajima is expected to enter the Junior division but that will be his decision.</p><p> </p><p>

We are also delighted to announce the full-time signing of <strong>U-T</strong> from Dragon Gate Pro-Wrestling. A very exciting prospect for the future, U-T decided to depart the DG family and will report to New Japan Dojo immediately for further training. </p><p> </p><p>

Even with two new arrivals, New Japan Pro-Wrestling is saddened to announce the departure of <strong>Ryusuke Taguchi.</strong> A product of the New Japan system, we would like to thank Taguchi for his 13 years of service and wish him all the best for the future.</p><p> </p><p> </p><p>

<span style="font-size:14px;">Dominion will be coined 7.5 this year and will take place on Sunday 5th July, LIVE from the Kyocera Dome!</span></p><p> </p><p>

Seating approximately 36,000 fans, the Kyocera Dome is home to the Orix Buffaloes, a professional Baseball team founded in 1936. Located in the ward of Nishi-ku, the Osaka Dome was opened in 1997 with the naming rights being sold to the electronics giant Kyocera in 2011. </p><p> </p><p>

Dominion 7.5 will host a huge double header. Not only will Hiroshi Tanahashi recieve his long-awaited rematch for Tetsuya Naito's IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, but Shinsuke Nakamura will defend his IWGP Intercontinental Championship against CHAOS stablemate and good friend, 'The Rainmaker' Kazuchika Okada. </p><p> </p><p>

<strong>And, we want you to decide which match is the rightful main event.</strong></p><p> </p><p>

Yes that's right fans, people power! Please feel free to vote on this strawpoll and let New Japan officials know which match should close this historic show: <a href="http://strawpoll.me/6342274" rel="external nofollow">http://strawpoll.me/6342274</a></p><p> </p><p>

After Tanahashi had helped the Captain recover, he sized Naito up in the middle of the ring. He retreated, albeit slowly as Naito took a microphone from Kimihiko Ozani. He promised no shenanigans at the Kyocera Dome Osaka, but conceded that his word probably meant very little now. Still, Naito couldn't think of a better way to strike fear into the hearts of all the New Japan fans that to beat their hero fair and square in the middle of the ring. He reiterated that this was the era of Suzuki-gun and the whole nation of Japan was powerless to stop it.</em></p><p> </p><p> <span style="font-size:14px;"><strong>Final Rating:</strong></span><span style="font-size:14px;"> 80 (B)</span></p><p> </p><p> <span>http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/NJPW%202015/50pxnjpw.png</span></p></div><p></p><p></p>

Tiger Hattori To Retire

http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/NJPW%202015/NewRoster/tigerhattori.jpg

Dominion 7.5 will see legendary referee Tiger Hattori officiate for the final time before his retirement from puroresu. The 69 year-old made the announcement on his official Twitter account yesterday and the news was subsequently confirmed on New Japan Pro-Wrestling's official website. A more substantial announcement is expected to be made at Nagoya Rainbow Hall later today, the site of New Japan's second stop on the Dominion tour.

An amateur wrestler in college, Hattori competed in the All-Japan wrestling championships. Soon afterwards he began working with Hiro Matsuda and Masa Saito before making his referee debut in 1977 in the US. He joined All-Japan in 1980 as an NWA-recognized referee, then moved to New Japan in 1982 before leaving in 1984 to work for Riki Choshu’s Fighting World Of Japan. After the pro wrestling collapse in Japan, Hattori returned to New Japan and was appointed to a referee management position in 2001. He left New Japan again in 2002 but returned in 2004.

Special thanks to https://representingpuroresu.wordpress.com/ for the bio.

June 24th, 2015 - Dominion Tour Night Two

http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/NJPW%202015/roadtodominion.png

Hattori Retirement Tour Night Two

Nagoya Rainbow Hall

June 24th, 2015

Ring announcer Kimihiko Ozani introduced Tiger Hattori and reiterated the announcement that he would be retiring after Dominion. In respect, the Dominion Tour would now be renamed in his honour. Hattori was handed the microphone (not before Ozani bowed before him) and said he was looking to forward to giving his old bones a rest once for all. He had lived his dream and had officiated wrestling matches all over the world in the last 37 years. New Japan was in good hands: Red Shoes Unno and Marty Asami are more than capable of handling his workload. But, he's sad that this could very well be the last time he visits Nagoya. He hopes the show is a memorable one.

Kenny Omega & Bad Luck Fale defeated Shelton X Benjamin & El Desperado (12:26) when Fale used the Bad Luck Fall on Desperado.

Karl Anderson, Yujiro Takahashi & Tama Tonga defeated Naomichi Marufuji, Captain New Japan & U-T (12:54) when Anderson used the Swivel Gun Stun on the Captain.

Tomohiro Ishii & Rocky Romero defeated Katsuhiko Nakajima & Tiger Mask IV (12:08) when Ishii used the Vertical Drop Brainbuster on Tiger Mask IV.

Katsuyori Shibata, Manabu Nakanishi & Sho Tanaka defeated Tomoaki Honma, Watanabe & Yohei Komatsu (13:30) when Shibata used the PK on Komatsu.

Shibata and Honma had done battle tonight and much to Shibata's frustration, he simply couldn't keep the Underdog down. He won the match for his team but he and Honma were back face to face after the final bell. Nakanishi, Tanaka and Watanabe broke up the stare down, holding back Honma as Shibata hastily departed. In the ring, Komatsu was just stirring as Honma helped him back to his feet and shook his head in disappointment.

Shinsuke Nakamura, YOSHI-HASHI & Jado defeated Kazuchika Okada, Kazushi Sakuraba & Gedo (14:36) after Nakamura used a Sliding BOMA YE~! on Gedo.

Gedo & Jado were on opposite sides of the ring tonight but much like Monday, all seemed well within the CHAOS unit after the match had ended. Nakamura and Okada stared each other down again, but 'The Rainmaker' gave Sakuraba and Gedo a poke on the shoulder and the trio left Nakamura to celebrate with YOSHI-HASHI and Jado in the ring.

Hiroshi Tanahashi, Satoshi Kojima & Alex Shelley defeated Tetsuya Naito, Minoru Suzuki & Taichi (14:56) when Tanahashi used the High Fly Flow on Taichi.

Hattori enjoyed counting the pinfall and raised the hand of the 'Ace'. Tanahashi enjoyed a measure of vengeance here but Naito was nowhere to be seen. It seems like he ran off so as to spare himself from having to look at Tanahashi any longer than he had to. Even Tana seemed to be fed up with these tag matches, he said he couldn't wait for Dominion now. He's tired of waiting, he's been training hard for this fight and he wants Naito now! But alas, they aren't at the Kyocera Dome yet. Tanahashi challenged Naito to beat him without the assistance of Suzuki-gun, he'd be very surprised if he did. He hoped the fans would vote for their match to go on last just so Tiger could raise the hand of the 'Ace' in his final match as a referee.

Final Rating: 82 (B)

Hattori Retirement Tour Night Three

Hiroshima Gymnasium

June 26th, 2015

Davey Boy Smith Jr., El Desperado & Taichi defeated Satoshi Kojima, U-T & Yohei Komatsu (12:36) when Smith Jr. used the Bulldog Bomb on U-T.

Naomichi Marufuji & Manabu Nakanishi defeated Karl Anderson & Tama Tonga (11:57) when Marufuji used the Shiranui on Tonga.

Katsuhiko Nakajima & BUSHI defeated Tomohiro Ishii & Jado (13:02) when Nakajima used a Twisting Brainbuster on Jado.

By using a Brainbuster to pick up the victory, Nakajima had angered Ishii. The 'Stone Pitbull' confronted him after the match but Nakajima didn't appear the least bit intimidated. That said, he did back down and left first as Ishii and fellow CHAOS representitive YOSHI-HASHI did their best to bring Jado back to his senses.

Togi Makabe, Yuji Nagata & Watanabe defeated Hirooki Goto, Hiroyoshi Tenzan & Sho Tanaka (15:30) when Makabe used the King Kong Knee Drop on Tanaka.

After a great match (rated B+ to be exact), Makabe's celebrations boiled over when he took a microphone and started a verbal beatdown on Meiyu Tag. He claimed Goto and Shibata weren't worthy champions, using a few swears at the same time. Goto took exception to this and slapped the microphone out of his hand before raising his IWGP World Tag Team Championship aloft. Having failed to capture gold twice this year, Makabe treated this as a real slap in the face. Luckily, Nagata and Tenzan managed to separate the two before the Dominion match started early.

Kazuchika Okada, Tomoaki Honma & Kazushi Sakuraba defeated Shinsuke Nakamura, Toru Yano & YOSHI-HASHI (15:44) when Okada used the Rainmaker Lariat on YOSHI-HASHI.

Honma and Okada on the same team?! This is cats and dogs living together! It seems only a one-off, Okada looked frustrated as Honma missed a Kokeshi. Why would a man do a move that never works? Post-match, Okada gave YOSHI-HASHI a hug out of respect and shared a laugh with Yano. Once again, he acted as though Nakamura wasn't there, something the 'King Of Strong Style' was less than impressed about as he stormed off in a huff.

Tiger Hattori came down to officiate our final match of the evening. As Kimihiko Ozani announced his name, he recieved a warm reaction from our capacity crowd and bowed in appreciation.

Tetsuya Naito, Shelton X Benjamin & TAKA Michinoku defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi, Captain New Japan & Alex Shelley (20:02) when Naito used the Stardust Press on the Captain.

As Naito celebrated victory, Tanahashi and Shelley helped the Captain from the ring and took their walk of shame. Naito took a microphone to close the show. He pondered why Tanahashi still tags with a guy like Captain New Japan, he always loses! Maybe Tana is getting used to losing? But that's why Naito tags with winners: TAKA will win the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship in August, Shelton is looking more motivated than ever and Suzuki-gun is just getting started. Naito reiterated that nobody will get involved at Dominion but what's that guy's word worth at this point?

Final Rating: 84 (B+)

Hattori Retirement Tour Night Four

Naruto Boat Race Place

June 29th, 2015

Gedo defeated U-T (10:12) using the Gedo Clutch.

Hattori was here to officiate this match and he was impressed with U-T's hustle. Even though the young boy fell victim to a flash pin, he received a handshake and a pat on the back from New Japan's senior official.

Bad Luck Fale & Kenny Omega defeated Toru Yano & Jado (12:25) when Omega used the One Winged Angel on Jado.

After picking up a relatively routine victory, Fale & Omega had their celebration spoiled. KUSHIDA WAS BACK! He kept his distance before telling the Bullet Club pairing that he would see them on Wednesday in Sendai.

Karl Anderson, Tama Tonga & Yujiro Takahashi defeated Naomichi Marufuji, Yohei Komatsu & Captain New Japan (12:54) when Anderson used the Gun Stun on Komatsu.

Hirooki Goto, Yuji Nagata & Sho Tanaka defeated Tomoaki Honma, Manabu Nakanishi & Watanabe (15:17) when Goto used the Shouten Kai on Watanabe.

Goto had picked up the victory but Honma confronted him after the fact. Despite being the subject of much adoration from the fans, Honma gave Goto the dirtiest of looks! He was almost a different person to the one grinning after connecting with a Kokeshi earlier in the match! Goto wasn't prepared to show any fear though and reminded Honma to keep his eyes on the prize as he raised his tag team gold above the head of 'Mr. Kokeshi'.

Tanahashi, Shelley, BUSHI & Tiger Mask IV defeated Naito, TAKA, Taichi & El Desperado (15:26) when Tanahashi submitted Taichi in the Texas Cloverleaf.

Taichi was trapped and tapped out almost instantly. He hardly even fought the hold! Post-match, Tanahashi ridiculed Taichi. Is this the "winner" that Naito teams with? At least Captain New Japan has heart! Tanahashi enjoyed tonight, tagging with three Juniors was a lot of fun and he hopes he can do it again. Come Dominion 7.5, he'll be feeding off the energy of 30,000+ fans in the Kyocera Dome and promises to return to the Naruto Boat Race Place in the near future as the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.

Shinsuke Nakamura & Tomohiro Ishii defeated Kazuchika Okada & Katsuhiko Nakajima (19:32) when Nakamura used the BOMA YE~! on Nakajima.

It took two BOMA YE'S~! to put Nakajima away but Nakamura had prevailed nonetheless. In his customary post-match promo, he hoped Okada would pay attention to him now. It was disrespectful to act as if he wasn't there but Nakamura got a bit of a laugh of it because he's Shinsuke Nakamura, how can you not pay attention to him! He's the 'King Of Strong Style' and at Dominion, he will establish himself as the 'King Of CHAOS' and put Okada in his place. Okada takes a microphone of his own and asks Nakamura if he's forgot who he's getting in the ring with at the Osaka Dome. This isn't an old man that's trying to turn back the years. This isn't somebody that was a Junior last year. This is 'The Rainmaker'! Okada couldn't care less about proving his status within CHAOS. As far as he's concerned, they are friends and comrades, nothing less. Okada doesn't believe that a unit should be a competition, is Nakamura that unsure of himself?! Forget all that, Okada just wants that (pointing to Nakamura's Intercontinental title). Nakamura laughs, the IWGP Intercontinental title is his baby. He's not letting go of it no matter what. Okada will have to kill him, it took three Rainmakers to beat him in the G1 Climax final last year, it will take five this time around! But win, lose or draw, once the dust has settled, Nakamura promises to shake Okada's hand. He asks the crowd if they think he will? Will Okada shake his hand if he loses? Forget that, will Nakamura win again?

"YEAOH!!!"

Final Rating: 84 (B+)

Dominion 7.5 Preview

http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/NJPW%202015/dominion75.jpg

Dominion 7.5

July 5th, 2015

The results are in, Shinsuke Nakamura will defend his IWGP Intercontinental Championship against CHAOS stablemate and close friend, 'The Rainmaker' Kazuchika Okada in the main event of Dominion 7.5! Tiger Hattori has been assigned to this match, the last he will ever officiate in his near 40 year career. We say thank you and goodbye to Hattori, but could Nakamura also kiss goodbye to something he treasures so dearly?

In a long-awaited rematch for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship, Tetsuya Naito finally locks horns with Hiroshi Tanahashi. The 'Stardust Genius' has promised that Suzuki-gun won't get involved, he wants to strike fear into the hearts of all New Japan Pro-Wrestling fans for abandoning him by beating Tanahashi fair and square. Will Naito have something up his sleeve? Or will the 'Ace' prove that he was right all along? Tanahashi believes that Naito isn't a rightful champion -- that he's lazy and a comedian, but even Tanahashi knows that Naito is as formidable a competitor as any inside those four ropes.

Elsewhere on the card, Togi Makabe gets his third title shot of the year when he teams with Tomoaki Honma to take on the IWGP World Tag Team Champions, Hirooki Goto & Katsuyori Shibata. And, the winner of BOSJ XXII, KUSHIDA, gets his IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship shot against 'The Cleaner' Kenny Omega. There's question marks over the condition of the 'Time Splitter' after he was assaulted last month but he's sure to be as fired up as ever.

Join us LIVEon NJPW WORLD or on traditional PPV or iPPV for the last stop before G1 Climax 25!

July 1st, 2015 - Hattori Retirement Tour Night Five

http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/NJPW%202015/roadtodominion.png

Hattori Retirement Tour Night Five

Sendai Gymnasium

July 1st, 2015

Katsuhiko Nakajima, Yohei Komatsu & U-T defeated Tomohiro Ishii, Gedo & Jado (11:32) when Nakajima used the Death Roll on Jado.

Shelton X Benjamin, Lance Archer & Davey Boy Smith Jr. defeated Captain New Japan, Manabu Nakanishi & Sho Tanaka (12:54) when Shelton used the Paydirt on the Captain.

KUSHIDA, Alex Shelley & Naomichi Marufuji defeated Kenny Omega, Yujiro Takahashi & Bad Luck Fale (14:17) when KUSHIDA used the Hoverboard Lock on Yujiro.

If the Best Of The Super Juniors XXII winner had been injured by the Bad Luck Fall he received last month, he certainly didn't show it here. He looked well rested and full of energy, even picking up the victory for his team. Omega confronted the #1 Contender after the match, reminding him that even though he had won tonight, 'The Cleaner' was still the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Champion and that wasn't changing at Dominion 7.5.

Katsuyori Shibata, Togi Makabe & Satoshi Kojima defeated Karl Anderson, Doc Gallows & Tama Tonga (14:41) when Kojima used the Cozy Lariat on Gallows.

The 'Biz Cliz' lost to a trio that featured two people who will be fighting each other in four days! That said, Makabe & Shibata were professional, saving their beef until after the bell. The 'Unchained King Kong' wasn't happy about something and got in Shibata's face, shouting obscenities with the rage of a bull. Shibata gritted his teeth in response and pushed Makabe out of his personal space. It was at this point that Kojima stepped in to defuse the situation, he didn't want to see his two friends fight each other! In trademark Shibata fashion, he hastily departed and headed straight for the dressing room.

Tetsuya Naito, TAKA Michinoku & El Desperado defeated Hiroshi Tanahashi, BUSHI & Tiger Mask IV (14:41) when Naito used the Stardust Press on TM4.

Naito lamented the fan favourite group after the match. He anticipated victory but not that easily! After Tana had assisted BUSHI in attending to Tiger Mask IV, he stayed ringside to hear Naito's words firsthand. The Champion opined that if those partners are the best Tanahashi could find, maybe Suzuki-gun would reign supreme sooner than he thought. He reiterated that he will retain his Championship at Dominion 7.5, he will win without outside assistance and he will do so to strike fear into the hearts of all the fans that turned their back on him. There was a time when maybe he wasn't sure of himself but now Naito has realised that with Suzuki and his army by his side, he can and will dominate New Japan Pro-Wrestling for the foreseeable future.

Shinsuke Nakamura, YOSHI-HASHI & Toru Yano defeated Kazuchika Okada, Watanabe & Kazushi Sakuraba (20:09) when Yano used a Low Blow and Cradle Pin on Watanabe.

Nakamura's team had won, just. If Yano was going to hit anybody on the opposite team below the belt, it was always going to be young lion Watanabe. The 'King Of Strong Style' made sure to thank Yano for the assist, not that he could thank Okada! Maybe he's learning. This fact amused 'The Rainmaker', who stuck around with Sakuraba to make sure there were no divides in the CHAOS unit. Nakamura offered Okada a handshake, but took his hand away at the last second to scream "YEAOH!!!" to our fans and then pose as his music hit.

Final Rating: 77 (B)

Suzuki-Gun - I much like this group.

Uhaa Nation

The Young Bucks

Tomohiro Ishii - I already went for two title changes, so this one stays.

Bullet Club - AJ being in the match sways my vote.

Kenny Omega - Biz Cliz cheat to win, for now. KUSHIDA is a definite force though.

Goto/Shibata - Again, I feel like I'm banking on too many title changes already.

Tetsuya Naito - This one could very easily take MOTN honors.

Okada - RRRRRRAINAMAAKE-AH~

July 3rd, 2015 - Hattori Retirement Tour Night Six

http://i1354.photobucket.com/albums/q685/RynWlsn/NJPW%202015/roadtodominion.png

Hattori Retirement Tour Night Six

Fukuoka International Center

July 3rd, 2015

Naomichi Marufuji & Sho Tanaka defeated Shelton X Benjamin & Taichi (11:37) when Marufuji used the Bicycle High Knee on Taichi.

Somehow, this match was rated a whopping 83 (B+) and was Match Of The Night.

Tomohiro Ishii & Rocky Romero defeated Katsuhiko Nakajima & U-T (13:25) when Ishii used the Vertical Drop Brainbuster on U-T.

Nakajima lost on the final stop before the Kyocera Dome. But forget about that, he wanted to make sure U-T was okay. Ishii didn't celebrate his victory, instead he got in Nakajima's face and the two stared each other down.

Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma defeated Manabu Nakanishi & Watanabe (13:07) when Makabe used the King Kong Knee Drop on Watanabe.

Little more than a tune-up match for the Challengers before Dominion, Makabe took a microphone after the match and promised that he and Honma would come back to Fukuoka as the new IWGP Tag Team Champions.

Bad Luck Fale, Kenny Omega & Karl Anderson defeated Satoshi Kojima, Alex Shelley & KUSHIDA (12:34) when Anderson used the Gun Stun on Shelley.

Totally overpowered and completely outgunned, there was little the fan favourites could do. They fought valiantly but Anderson put them out their misery. Post-match, the Bullet Club mocked Shelley as he was trying to shake the cobwebs. That was, until Kojima and KUSHIDA had heard enough and stood up to confront the trio. Omega got in KUSHI's face, telling him that at Dominion 7.5, the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Championship was going nowhere.

Kazuchika Okada, Yuji Nagata & Kazushi Sakuraba defeated Shinsuke Nakamura, YOSHI-HASHI & Toru Yano (14:41) when Okada used the Rainmaker on Yano.

A victory for the #1 Contender, Okada was jovial with his CHAOS brethren after the match. Nakamura wandered off to a neutral corner and looked less than impressed with what he was seeing. Okada took a microphone and asked him what was wrong. A bit of friendly competition doesn't hurt - as Nakamura can see, all is well within CHAOS right? The fans agreed! Gedo jumped in and took the microphone: bellowing in Nakamura's general direction that this Sunday, he would lose his title to the "THE RAINNN-MAKAAAHHHH!". The 'King Of Strong Style' disagreed, he finds this whole thing weird. Okada wants to fight him and fight by his side? He thinks this is funny business. But none of this matters. He's excited for what should be a great fight on Sunday. Sure, if he loses his title, it will break his heart. But he's lost it before and bounced back before and is curious if Okada can do the same. Last time Okada lost a big match, he cried. This didn't amuse 'The Rainmaker', he saw it as a low blow and shoved Nakamura. Thankfully, Gedo held him back. Friendly competition hey?! Nakamura says there's no such thing and will see where he stands with Okada after they fight at Dominion 7.5.

Hiroshi Tanahashi defeated Naito, BUSHI, Captain New Japan, Smith Jr, El Desperado, Tenzan, Archer, TAKA & Komatsu in a Battle Royal (20:03)

A wild match, none of the Suzuki-gun members eliminated each other but BUSHI grabbed the ultimate coup when he bundled the Captain and Archer over the top rope simultaneously. Naito and Tanahashi were the final two. But the 'Stardust Genius' didn't feel like over-exerting himself so close to a big match and eliminated himself to hand Tana the win. Post-match, Tanahashi wondered if Naito will do the same on Sunday. Is that what he does when the going gets tough? Tanahashi conceded that he couldn't figure Naito out. One moment he's all about their being no outside assistance, next he's pretending to sleep and acting stupid! He believes he knows Naito in the ring though and promised that he would return to Fukuoka as the IWGP Heavyweight Champion. Tanahashi invited Tiger Hattori to the ring and wanted to send the fans home happy. Together, the two air guitared and celebrated to see out the Hattori Retirement Tour.

Final Rating: 83 (B+)
