[1991, WWF] The Apocalypse Has Begun

Recommended Posts

Background Information

Good morning/afternoon/prevening/evening to everyone that has taken time out of their lives to take a look at this diary. This diary is angeldelayette presenting his take on World Wrestling Federation beginning in the month of January and the year of 1991. I have done many diaries in the past, both Cornellverse and Real World. As a matter of fact, I am running another real world dynasty right now. That is a diary called WWE 2015: The Road Through WrestleMania And Beyond. I am also running a Cornellverse diary right now. It is right here: The Story Of Jackson Smith - MAW. Though, the MAW diary does not get updated very often.

The WWF at this time opens up a whole new vibrant amount of wrestlers to create characters with. I hope to bring a new and fresh take on the promotion. However, I will say beginning here that there will be some times that are not completely realistic. Those times will generally be wrestlers coming in on a full time basis that are not and probably would not ever do so in real life. But the good thing about the game is that I can make those decisions myself. I also have some interesting changes that will be evident with the very first show. I hope everyone enjoys.

Inspiration

justtxyank - I would like to thank justtxyank for the hard work in creating the data that this diary is built from. I have enjoyed the hard work and I hope that I do this data justice. For those wanting the data itself, it is located here: [Release] 1991: Rising Storms 4.0

jhd1 - A great diary writer and one that I go to for support again and again. He is one of my best friends on these GDS boards. He is also responsible for a lot of the graphics work that gets done both in the diary and in different games. I thank him for that. He is the creator of the amazing Thunderverse mod which is located here: ThunderVerse 2014 Platinum Release Thread

Eisen-verse - Another amazing diary writer. He is another one of my friends and always offers good advice when I need it. His epic SWF diary, DOA diaries, PSW and the list goes on and on, have been an inspiration on everyone that reads it. I have definitely been inspired by his depictions of wrestlers in all of his diaries. One cannot help but to be inspired. His latest diary is another amazing one as we move forward. It is located here: LAX Wrestling: The War for SoCal

Cut Artists - I cannot forget these amazing artists that bring the real world to life. All credit for the cuts and pictures goes to their respective artists. A special thank you goes to these artists. If there is one that you see that you would like me to change the name to include/give credit to you as the artist, please feel free to let me know here or in pm.

Beejus - He is someone to whom I want to give some special thanks. His epic diary, WCW '94: War of the Thrones, is a definite diary to read. I only hope I can live up to half of what he has written there. Thank you for being an inspiration to us all.

Smasher1311 - Another predictor that has been with me for a very long time. I appreciate both his dedication and his comments when it comes to predictions time. Those comments are very important and can be a true inspiration.

Lexa90, BHK1978, critical-23, TheLeviticalLawKid3, 20LEgend, Bigpapa42, Emark, Tigerkinney, Rayelek, Midnightnick, RKOwnage, pennyone, 3rdStringPG, packerman120, Zergon and more - These names have been some of the more long-lasting names that have commented and predicted within my diaries in the past. They have been and always continue to be an inspiration to me in their comments and predictions. They always seem to stick by me through thick and thin, though some more-so than others now. Which, again, I do not blame them for their choices. I just want to thank them here and now for their predictions and comments in the past.

Wrestling Observer Newsletter

World Wrestling Federation

-The World Wrestling Federation is looking ahead toward the Royal Rumble and the Road To WrestleMania with WWF Prime Time Wrestling coming to you from the Boston Garden!

-This show promises to have a lot of outstanding matches and content as it will be the very first ever live airing of WWF Prime Time Wrestling, along with an extension to make the show two hours long. The WWF has promised that they will keep the show two hours and live each and every week.

-Last week it was announced that the WWF World Heavyweight Champion The Ultimate Warrior will be defending that title against Sgt. Slaughter at the Royal Rumble. This week, Sgt. Slaughter steps inside the ring against the new American patriot Nikolai Volkoff. Volkoff is looking to get some American revenge on the turncoat Slaughter. Can Slaughter gain a victory and some momentum heading toward the Royal Rumble?

-The WWF Intercontinental title will be defended on this night as Mr. Perfect faces off with the former champion The Texas Tornado. These two have been engaged in a very long feud that has seen them trade the Intercontinental title belt. Can The Texas Tornado take the title back?

-We have been told to expect some major surprises on this edition of Prime Time Wrestling. Perhaps some new signings will be making their debuts or returns tonight? Only way to find out is to make sure you tune in to the USA network!

-Jack Tunney also plans to make an announcement regarding the Royal Rumble. What will the WWF President have to say?

First of all, I want to thank everyone for all of the predictions and comments so far. I am hoping to get both WWF Prime Time Wrestling and WWF Superstars up some time within the next few days. With that being said, some responses to some of the comments here.

Power and Glory vs. The Bushwhackers

Comments: Bushwhackers were pretty much a joke by this point, so it makes sense for Power and Glory in the battle of lower midcard teams

I think it's really sad what Cousin Luke and Cousin Butch became in the WWF. When they were the Sheepherders, they were feared. Now, they're just the guys who walk funny and lick peoples' heads.

Bob Bradley and Mike Sharpe vs. The Rockers

Comments: Get these men the Tag Titles at some point please.

Power and Glory vs. The Bushwhackers

There is definitely a solid tag team division here in the WWF. With teams like The Rockers and Power and Glory and The Hart Foundation and Haku and The Barbarian and more, the future looks bright for the tag team division.

Power and Glory vs. The Bushwhackers

Comments: Only for the glasses though

Loved Power and Glory's look and their finisher. To me it is one of the best tag team finishers ever because it took such precision to pull it off perfectly.

Bob Bradley and Mike Sharpe vs. The Rockers

Comments: Don't you miss job guys?

Sometimes, I definitely miss the job guys. Some of them even had personalities like 'Iron' Mike Sharpe and his bellowing or Barry Horowitz and patting his back. We need guys like that nowadays.

Bob Bradley and Mike Sharpe vs. The Rockers

Comments: The Rockers are probably the future of the tag division

Power and Glory vs. The Bushwhackers

Comments: The same comment I made about The Rockers could be applied to Power and Glory

WWF Intercontinental Title Match

Mr. Perfect defends vs. The Texas Tornado

Comments: Here's hoping that Perfect becomes WWF Champ!

As I said earlier, there is a definite strong tag team division here in the WWF. And that division could be growing within the weeks and months to come. That being said, The Rockers and Power and Glory are definitely two teams that can anchor the tag team division. As far as Mr. Perfect goes, he is one of several that never held the World title that I believe should have been World champion. What does this future hold for Mr. Perfect? It can only be one thing right: perfection. :)

Let's go for WrestleMania this time, angel! :D

Hey Beejus! That's my plan right now is to get this to WrestleMania like I did with my 2015 diary. I am making plans through to WrestleMania. Then I will look to make plans to Summerslam.

Thanks for the inclusion, angel. I really appreciate it, my friend.

Of course, Smasher1311. I meant every word I said and it makes me feel good that you've stuck with me as I've continued to move forward.

Power and Glory vs. The Bushwhackers

Comments: The Herc and Jerk dominate the New Zealanders

Love that comment! It made me laugh. Definitely sounds like something the commentators, including Gorilla or Piper or Vince might have said.

Sgt. Slaughter vs. Nikolai Volkoff

Comments: Right, as usual, my knowledge on what happened on this era is quite limited so I be using the roster review heavily on my predictions until I get bit better knowledge on who is were in terms of TV time, time decline etc. That said, this is main eventer vs. midcard guy so I´m fairly comfortable on this one. :D

Bob Bradley and Mike Sharpe vs. The Rockers

Comments: Named team over random pairing.. oh and there´s HBK in one team and pair of jobbers on other so there´s that too.

Power and Glory vs. The Bushwhackers

Comments: Can´t believe that I actually know who these teams are (maybe I´m FINALLY learning something :p). Power and Glory gets this one.

Barry Hardy vs. Jake Roberts

Comments: Lets see here... main eventer that I´m actually familiar against enchantment talent that I had never heard off... yeah, still quite confident on this pick. :p

The Million Dollar Man vs. Hulk Hogan

Comments: Ok so here´s were the problems starts... no idea who is the top dog on this one but then again, when has Hulk been anything less than a top guy so I go with him.

Sgt. Slaughter vs. Nikolai Volkoff

Comments: The Slaughter-Warrior "Title Match" at Royal Rumble is the first thing I look to in WWF '91 -- I'm guessing you're going to try a workaround of some sort here, possibly a patriotic battle with Slaughter/Adnan versus Warrior/Hogan. It lets a "fresh challenger" emerge for 'Mania pulling Hogan out of the Rumble

Bob Bradley and Mike Sharpe vs. The Rockers

Comments: The Rockers are getting put over here.

Power and Glory vs. The Bushwhackers

Comments: The Bushwhackers aren't good in WWF. They'd be a better fit in ECW.

Barry Hardy vs. Jake Roberts

Comments: Jake takes the victory here.

WWF Intercontinental Title Match

Mr. Perfect defends vs. The Texas Tornado

Comments: Perfect can't lose yet -- he's "The Perfect Wrestler", after all

The Million Dollar Man vs. Hulk Hogan

Comments: There is a good reason Ted was on top in TFC's diary -- Hogan starts with a strong friendship and is more willing to job. Will be interesting to see who gets the Royal Rumble in this one.

Attendance: 15,909

TV Rating: 1.58

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_91/HulkHogan.jpg

[The very first live edition of WWF Prime Time Wrestling is hosted by Vince McMahon, Roddy Piper and Gorilla Monsoon. They welcome everyone live in to the historic Boston Garden, the home of NBA's Boston Celtics! The crowd rises to their feet in cheers as 'Real American' begins to play. What a way to kick things off here in Boston! We have the arrival to the ring of The Immortal Hulk Hogan! Hogan climbs in the ring and begins posing as a chant of 'Hogan' fills the arena. Hogan has a microphone and he says that he wants to thank all the Hulkamaniacs for coming here to the Boston Garden to see WWF Prime Time Wrestling for the first time ever! He says that this show is going to lead in to the Royal Rumble in just a few weeks time where he plans to step inside the ring and walk away with the victory over twenty nine other superstars, dude. He says that one by one he is going to raise those people up and toss them over the top rope with the strongest power that exists in the world. That is the power of Hulkamania! He says that this power lives in each and every one of the Hulkamaniacs out there watching here in Boston and around the world. He says that he has been saying his prayers, taking his vitamins and training as we build toward the Royal Rumble, brothers! He might have continued but 'It's All About The Money' begins to play, drawing boos from the crowd.]

http://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_91/TedDiBiase.jpghttp://i12.photobucket.com/albums/a226/shawkes/WWF_91/Virgil.jpg

[Virgil leads The Million Dollar Man out from the back and down the ramp. DiBiase laughs as he reaches ringside and then steps inside, using Virgil to hold the ropes open for him. He looks into the eyes of Hulk Hogan and asks him if he really thinks he is going to win the Royal Rumble. The Million Dollar Man says that Hogan is not going to be the only man in the Royal Rumble. DiBiase says that both he and Virgil will be in the Royal Rumble, making it a two on twenty eight contest since Virgil works for him. He says that his money ensures that the odds are always in his favor. The Million Dollar Man says that there is nothing in this world that his money cannot buy. Hulk Hogan interrupts The Million Dollar Man, telling him that there is something that money cannot buy. He says that he cannot be bought and neither can all these Hulkamaniacs, brother. He says that tonight The Million Dollar Man is going to see that and he might as well get a taste of it right now! Hogan goes to clothesline DiBiase but The Million Dollar Man pulls Virgil in the way. Virgil is cut down with a Hogan clothesline as DiBiase quickly exits the ring. Hogan picks up Virgil and press slams him over the top rope to the floor. Hogan rips off his shirt as his music plays and he poses in the ring. DiBiase and Virgil move to the back and then Hogan eventually follows suit.]

Sgt. Slaughter vs. Nikolai Volkoff

[The opening match here on WWF Prime Time Wrestling features the turncoat Sgt. Slaughter with General Adnan against Nikolai Volkoff, another man who turned on his country and is now an American citizen. The two men meet in the center of the ring where Slaughter slaps Volkoff and Volkoff fires back with punches! A loud USA chant can be heard inside the arena, echoing in the background. A sign is raised in the background, reading: 'Roses are Red, Violets are Blue, Nikolai has a problem with you!' Volkoff takes down Slaughter with a few punches and then he goes for a clothesline but Slaughter ducks and catches Volkoff with a clothesline of his own. Slaughter is in control, bringing Volkoff down with a snap mare and then grinding his knuckles into the forehead of the former Russian. Slaughter drives Volkoff into his knees with a gutbuster and then he stands over Volkoff, giving him a salute of dismissal. Shortly after this salute, Slaughter locks in the Camel Clutch! The crowd boos, trying to get Volkoff back into the match but Volkoff is forced to submit.]

Winner: Sgt. Slaughter (Via Submission @ 9:57)

[The match is over, the bell has sounded but Sgt. Slaughter refuses to release the Camel Clutch! He is trying to injure Nikolai Volkoff! Gorilla Monsoon cries foul on this, yelling that they need someone to stand up to Slaughter tonight! General Adnan enters the ring and begins kicking Volkoff as the crowd boos even louder. Then 'Unstable' begins to play and here comes The Ultimate Warrior! The WWF World Heavyweight Champion runs down to the ring and slides inside. He ducks a clothesline attempt by Adnan and brings The General down with a clothesline! Warrior comes face-to-face with Sgt. Slaughter, knocking Slaughter backward with a clothesline, breaking the Camel Clutch. Warrior looks toward the sky and begins vibrating. He stomps up and down and is ready to continue his assault but Slaughter rolls out of the ring. Slaughter is decried as a coward as he backs up the ramp away from The Ultimate Warrior. The Ultimate Warrior shakes the ropes but we are whisked away to a pre-recorded video.]

[This pre-recorded video has Bobby Heenan and the three members of The Heenan Family standing in front of a blue screen with The Heenan Family written across it. Heenan talks about the fact that they are going live on Prime Time Wrestling but he's not behind the commentary desk. He says he's not there because he is focusing on these three men, The Heenan Family. He says that he has the Perfect Intercontinental champion and the future World Tag Team Champions. He turns the focus of the interview to Mr. Perfect's title defense tonight on Prime Time Wrestling against The Texas Tornado. He says that The Texas Tornado is going to become nothing but a wet storm in the face of Perfection. Mr. Perfect speaks up and says that he is the perfect Intercontinental champion. Which means that The Texas Tornado is going to come up just short. Perfect says that tonight The Texas Tornado is going to learn what makes him so great and that is that he is perfect. Mr. Perfect wipes his brow with the towel and we move back to the ring for our next contest.]

Bob Bradley and Mike Sharpe vs. The Rockers

[Our second match has the fans excited as The Rockers step into the ring with the team of Bob Bradley and Mike Sharpe. The match is definitely a show-off match for Shawn Michaels and Marty Jannetty as they keep the pace fast and never lose their momentum against Bradley and Sharpe. Early on, they both head to the top turnbuckle and use missile dropkicks to catch both Bradley and Sharpe from opposite sides. A double crescent kick sends Sharpe off the apron to the floor at ringside. They turn their focus on Bob Bradley. Marty Jannetty catches Bradley with an Atomic Drop into a clothesline by Michaels. The crowd gets into the match, one fan raising a sign reading: 'Its Only Rock and Roll cause I Like It!' Jannetty moves back into a corner as Shawn Michaels climbs to the top. Jannetty throws Michaels off the top turnbuckle, hitting Bradley with a diving fist drop! Michaels makes the cover: One, Two, Three!]

[We are taken to another pre-recorded segment. This segment takes place inside an office, the office of WWF President Jack Tunney. Tunney thanks everyone for tuning in to WWF Prime Time Wrestling tonight. Tunney says that in a few weeks we are going to have the 1991 version of the Royal Rumble. This means that thirty wrestlers will be competing and the last man left in the ring will be considered the victor. He says that they have decided to add something very special into the mix of the Royal Rumble. He says that this year the winner of the Royal Rumble will go one on one with the WWF World Heavyweight champion at WrestleMania. He says that he is honored to add this reward for the winner of the Royal Rumble. He wishes everyone good luck in this contest. He shuffles a few papers around as we cut back to the ringside area.]

[The crowd boos as 'The Mouth of the South' Jimmy Hart walks out from the back by himself with the megaphone in his right hand. He enters the ring and raises the megaphone, saying that he has come out to this ring to call out his former client Greg Valentine. He says that The Hammer has a lot of explaining to do and that he needs to come out to the ring to explain himself. 'Hammer' begins to play and out from the back comes Greg 'The Hammer' Valentine. Valentine gets a small cheer from the crowd here in Boston. But as soon as he steps down the ramp, he is assaulted from his sides by Earthquake and Dino Bravo. Earthquake and Bravo drag Valentine down to the ring and roll him inside. Bravo catches Valentine with an elbow drop and then points to Earthquake. Bravo backs into a corner as Earthquake begins jumping up and down. Earthquake bounces off the ropes and lands hard on Valentine with the Earthquake Splash! Valentine's ribs are crushed with that splash! Jimmy Hart laughs into the megaphone, saying that's what Valentine gets for turning his back on Jimmy Hart. Earthquake and Dino Bravo raise their arms in victory as we move backstage.]

[Mean Gene Okerlund is backstage in a locker room setting with Sensational Queen Sherri and The Macho King Randy Savage! Okerlund thanks everyone for tuning in to WWF Prime Time Wrestling and then introduces his guests at this time. He says that The Macho King said he had a few words about the upcoming Royal Rumble. Savage goes into a promo, letting everyone know that Sgt. Slaughter has promised him a title shot if Slaughter beats The Ultimate Warrior at the Royal Rumble. This means that The Macho King is one step closer to becoming the WWF World Heavyweight champion. But he does say that The Ultimate Warrior hasn't given him the same promise. Therefore, he says he's going to do whatever it takes to ensure that the next World champion is Sgt. Slaughter and that it happens at the Royal Rumble. Then there is the Royal Rumble itself. Savage says that it doesn't matter who gets in his way at the Royal Rumble. It doesn't matter if it's Jim Duggan or Jake Roberts or even Hulk Hogan himself. The Royal Rumble is made for the Macho King and he is going to prove why he is wrestling royalty. Ohhhhhh yeah, dig it! Savage walks off as we are taken to another video.]

[This is a video that focuses in on the WWF World Tag Team Champions The Hart Foundation. They talk about winning the tag team titles at SummerSlam last year against the team of Demolition. Bret Hart says that you are looking at the Excellence of Execution. He says that this tag team is the best there is, the best there was and the best there ever will be, no matter who they have to defend these belts against. Then he mentions that the two of them could come face-to-face at the Royal Rumble. He looks at Jim Neidhart and says that if the two of them are in the ring at the same time during the Royal Rumble may the best Hart Foundation member win. Jim Neidhart releases one of his trademark laughs. He says that they will be the last two men standing in the Royal Rumble and while he respects his partner and brother, he will eliminate Bret and win the Royal Rumble. Bret says that the pink and black attack is ruling the roost in the tag team division and they will do the same at the Royal Rumble.]

Power and Glory vs. The Bushwhackers

[speaking of the tag team division, two teams go at it next on this evening as Power & Glory take on The Bushwhackers. The match is fast-paced when Paul Roma is in the ring. 'Romeo' catches Luke with a picture perfect dropkick in the ring. When Roma tags in Hercules, Hercules shows off his power by throwing around both members of The Bushwhackers. Hercules locks Butch in a bear hug and then throws him into the turnbuckle. The match is definitely one-sided, focused on the speed and power of Power and Glory. The Bushwhackers don't seem like they can keep up against these two athletes. One fan doesn't like this. He raises a sign, reading: 'Power does not equal Glory!' Hercules grabs Luke and lifts him up on the top turnbuckle of his corner. Paul Roma tags himself in as Hercules goes up with Luke, hooking him in the corner. Hercules brings Luke down with a Superplex and when that move connects, Paul Roma has jumped off a neutral corner with a splash. The move called the Power-Plex has Roma making the pinfall on Luke: One, Two, Three!]

Mooney says that Jake The Snake has returned to action here in the WWF. He also informs Rick Martel that Jack Tunney has made a match between the two at the Royal Rumble. Martel's eyes go wide when he hears this and he begins yelling at Sean Mooney that this is not possible. He says that he has to focus on the Royal Rumble and becoming the new WWF World Heavyweight Champion! He says that The Snake is a crazy man and should not be in the ring with someone of the refined taste of 'The Model.' Mooney raises his arms up, saying that there's nothing that he can do about it. Martel says that he is going to protest all the way up to Jack Tunney. Mooney says that's fine but not to yell at him. Martel shoves his way off and Mooney sends us back to the ring.]

Barry Hardy vs. Jake Roberts

[Our next match is a feature match on the return of Jake 'The Snake' Roberts. Roberts comes out to the ring with his snake bag, setting it on the ring apron and then climbing into the ring and coming face-to-face with Barry Hardy. Hardy tries to attack Roberts early on but Roberts shrugs the attack off and wrenches Hardy's arm, bringing him in to a short-arm clothesline. He takes a few steps back, waiting for Hardy to rise up and catches Hardy with a running knee lift, bringing Hardy back to the mat. This causes a sign to go up, reading: 'BARRY... It's TIME TO RIDE THE SNAKE!' A chant of 'DDT' goes out through the crowd late in this match. One fan tries to show a little support for Hardy: 'Give Jobbers A Chance!' But Roberts grabs Hardy by the head -- DDT! He plants Hardy on the mat and makes the cover: One, Two, Three!]

Roberts rises to his feet, looking down at the fallen Barry Hardy for a moment. Roberts walks over to his corner and pulls up the snake bag, flashing one of those devious smiles as he begins untying the bag. He pulls the bag open and drops Damian on top of Barry Hardy. Roberts stands in the ring, surrounded by chants of 'Snake, Snake, Snake.' He looks down at the fallen Barry Hardy and picks up the Snake, holding Damian in his arms as we move to another video.]

He says that every dog has his day and the end of the month will be his day when he steps in the ring with twenty nine other competitors. He says that all of those other competitors are going to get bit by the dog. Then he begins looking around as the lights begin to flicker all around him. The lights turn out and we are left wondering what is happening as a loud crash can be heard in the darkness. When the lights return, The Undertaker and Brother Love are standing over top of Smith. The Undertaker looks down at the fallen Smith and places a couple more boots to him before looking up toward the camera. The Undertaker's eyes roll back in his head and he drags his thumb across his throat. Brother Love has a smile on his face and we cut back to the ring for our next contest.]

WWF Intercontinental Title Match

Mr. Perfect defends vs. The Texas Tornado

[That next bout is our semi main event and features the Intercontinental Champion Mr. Perfect taking on the former champion The Texas Tornado. Bobby 'The Brain' Heenan stands at ringside as a constant source of distraction and interference to bring the momentum back to the side of Mr. Perfect. Perfect takes Tornado out of the ring early on and runs him into the guardrail. Perfect begins yelling at a fan whose sign reads: 'He's Perfect alright.....A Perfectly Egotistical Guy!' Perfect throws Tornado back in the ring and focuses in on the back of Tornado. He gives him an Irish whip into the turnbuckle and then lays him out in the ring with a backbreaker. The crowd tries to turn the tide back in the favor of Tornado with chants, clapping their hands and stomping their feet. Perfect locks a rear chin lock on Tornado, trying to draw a submission from him. A couple of signs are shown in the background: 'Absolutely PERFECT!!!' and 'The Perfect Disaster!' Tornado gets fired up by the fans and pulls himself up, firing some elbows to the gut. Tornado gets some momentum on his side and locks Perfect in the Iron Claw! It looks like we might be seeing a new Intercontinental champion! But Bobby Heenan climbs on the apron, distracting Tornado. Tornado releases Perfect and walks over to Heenan. This gives Perfect a chance to recover and he hits Tornado from behind with a double axehandle. Perfect sends Tornado over with a snapmare and then a rolling neck snap before calling for the Perfect Plex. Perfect pulls Tornado up -- Perfect Plex! The referee drops down and makes a cover: One, Two, Three!]

Though there is a fan with a sign raised, reading: 'The PERFECT intercontinental champion!' Perfect hands the title back to Bobby Heenan and then turns his attention to The Texas Tornado! The crowd boos as Perfect begins putting the boots to Tornado. Perfect picks him up and throws three straight forearm smashes to Tornado before bringing him down with a clothesline. Perfect looks to the booing crowd for a moment, wiping sweat from his brow and tossing it down on Tornado. The crowd begins to cheer as music begins to play. From the back comes Big Bossman! Bossman has a nightstick in his hand as he slides inside the ring and goes after Mr. Perfect! Perfect is quick to exit the ring and avoid the nightstick. Bossman looks toward the ringside area where Mr. Perfect and Bobby Heenan are standing. A staredown between Bossman and Perfect ends this segment as Perfect heads toward the back.]

The Million Dollar Man vs. Hulk Hogan

[What a main event we have for you this week on WWF Prime Time Wrestling. The Million Dollar Man comes down to the ring with Virgil in his corner as he faces off against Hulk Hogan and all the Hulkamaniacs. DiBiase stands in his corner as he waits for the entrance of Hogan. Hulk Hogan comes down with the crowd standing on their feet and cheering. Several signs are shown during the entrances, including: 'Unleash the pythons on Saddam!,' 'Iraq will fall to HULKAMANIA BROTHER!' and 'HULKAMANIA IS RUNNIN' MILD, BROTHER!' The over fifteen thousand fans in attendance are cheering for Hulk Hogan as he enters the ring and comes to the center, meeting DiBiase. The two men exchange punches in the middle of the ring, Hogan getting the better of things. He knocks DiBiase back in a corner and climbs up, beginning to rain down punches on DiBiase. DiBiase shoves Hogan backward and quickly exits the ring to talk with Virgil, breaking the momentum of the leader of the Hulkamaniacs.]

[Ted DiBiase enters the ring and goes right after Hulk Hogan, raking his eyes. The Million Dollar Man brings Hogan to the mat and locks a spinning toe hold, keeping Hogan down on the mat. DiBiase cinches the hold in tight but Hogan refuses to submit. The Million Dollar Man releases the hold but continues to keep Hogan down even as the fans try to rally behind him. DiBiase tosses Hogan outside the ring and distracts the official as Virgil does his obvious bidding by booting Hogan in the ribs and raking his eyes. He sends Hogan back inside the ring and DiBiase continues his momentum. DiBiase moves to the ropes and yells at a fan whose sign reads: 'Scum always come from the Rich!' He turns back toward Hogan and lifts him with a gutwrench suplex. DiBiase walks over to the ropes and yells at Virgil, who wipes DiBiase's brow with a towel. DiBiase comes back to Hogan and sets him up for a Piledriver. This move has been banned in certain states due to injuries occurring because of it. A fan raises a sign in support of DiBiase: 'Hulkamania HAS A PRICE!' DiBiase goes for the Piledriver but Hogan reverses, sending DiBiase up and over with a back body drop. Hogan moves to his knees and he is beginning to Hulk Up!]

[The fans in the Boston Garden are going wild as Hulk Hogan is on his knees, shaking his head and arms wildly. DiBiase moves in and begins to throw some punches but Hogan no-sells the punches. DiBiase looks over for some help from Virgil but he is talking with a fan who has a sign up reading: 'I came here to see Virgil!' DiBiase turns back to Hogan, who is rising to his feet. A chant of 'Hogan' cascades through the crowd as Hogan starts to pace around the ring. He turns to DiBiase and gives him the finger point and wave. DiBiase moves in and throws another punch -- BLOCKED! Hogan punches DiBiase! Punch! Punch! Punch! Hogan grabs DiBiase by the arm and Irish whips him across to the ropes -- Big Boot! Hogan cups his ear, drawing cheers from the crowd. He bounces off the ropes -- Atomic Legdrop! Hogan turns over and makes the cover: One, Two, Three!]

Winner: Hulk Hogan (Via Pinfall @ 12:28)

Match Rating: B+

[What a huge win for Hulk Hogan on the initial WWF Prime Time Wrestling show! Hogan stands up and takes in the cheers of the crowd. The Million Dollar Man rolls out of the ring and is helped to the back by Virgil even as he berates his man-servant. Hogan begins to pose inside the ring, cupping his ear occasionally to draw in more cheers. The announcers talk about how next week we are going to see Randy Savage take on Jimmy Snuka. The WWF Titan-Tron lights up to show the parking lot area. This area shows a white limousine pulling up and parking. Then it turns off leaving a confused Hogan and confused fans as we are not privy to who was inside the limousine. Then we get more of a clue as music begins to play and the crowd rises on their feet. Four men walk out from the back.]

[The announcers look absolutely shocked as those four men are Ric Flair, Arn Anderson, Tully Blanchard and Nikita Koloff. Vince McMahon calls them by name at the announce crew as the four men walk down toward the ring. Hulk Hogan looks shocked in the ring as he stands there alone. The ring is surrounded by these four men with Ric Flair seemingly calling the shots. They all climb on the apron, looking toward Hogan. Flair gives the sign and all four men enter the ring and attack Hogan! Hogan tries to fight them off early on but the numbers game catches up to him. Flair sets Hogan up in a corner and begins lighting his chest up with knife-edge chops! Flair throws Hogan toward Anderson -- Spinebuster by Arn Anderson! The crowd boos this assault on one of the most popular WWF wrestlers! Nikita Koloff picks up Hogan and strikes him with the Russian Sickle. The four men stand together in the center of the ring raising four fingers. The announcers seem to not know what this means but we are out of time! The over fifteen thousand fans here at the Boston Garden are in absolute shock. What a way to end this first live edition of WWF Prime Time Wrestling! We'll see you Sunday for WWF Superstars! The show ends with a sign in the background, reading: 'The Apocalypse! I'm too young to die!' We are sure to get more information on this next week on Prime Time Wrestling.]

Great ending! I'm dying to see where you go from here.

I see what you did there...Apocalypse Has Begun and the Horsemen show up on the first show! I like it!

Any particular reason you chose Nikita to join them?

I am so glad that people enjoyed the ending to the show. I knew that the unveiling of the new Horsemen would be a shock and I hoped it would get this type of reaction.

Yes, their arrival is what sets up the title. As far as why I chose Nikita to be the fourth Horsemen, the first three were extremely obvious. They are, to me, three of the best Horsemen ever. Then I had to decide who would be the fourth Horseman. I did not want to gut WCW any more than I already had. So that removed Barry Windham or Sid Vicious from joining them. I looked elsewhere and spoke with my roommate(who is also a big wrestling fan). I gave him some ideas for who I could select as the fourth Horseman and he helped me to make the choice. I think Koloff definitely fits as the muscle of the Horsemen. I hope that everyone agrees with him coming in as a Horseman.
