I think that we should be able to draft announcers if we want and then whatever announcers, refs, etc are left over could be for prize box. If you wanted to burn a draft pick for a better announcer I don't see anything wrong with that. Announcers especially in the game vary so much in talent. I think I counted six or seven guys that were at the very least a B-. Although a quick look at the stats shows that Jim Ross and Mike Tenay both have 84's but yet Joey Styles has a 90. That seems a bit weird to me. I like Styles but he's not better than Ross and Tenay certainly isn't equal to Ross. Anyway that was just an observation but yeah I'd like to be able to grab a quality announcer with a draft pick rather than leave it to luck of the draw.

Let's say you take an announcer before the 30 rounds are up. Then at the end, the other six companies can randomly draw an announcer of the six decent ones that are left. That way, those who want to choose their staff can, and those who don't mind, don't have to. I'd like a decent colour commentator, and road agents are extremely important in my mind. Devine being in it was crap but yeah I was the biggest Shelley mark on the planet at that time. Sabin was cool in 02 and did nothing for me since about 04 kinda bland.

Devine being in it was crap but yeah I was the biggest Shelley mark on the planet at that time. Sabin was cool in 02 and did nothing for me since about 04 kinda bland.

 

I became a big MCMG guy after watching their Best of Five with Beer Money in 2010. But, Shelley certainly had more potential than Sabin(of course Sabin gets the WHC reign. Thanks, TNA).

I thought it was pretty funny myself. Jay Lethal is the perfect pick for you if you're a regional sized promotion. Although looking at his stats they are a little bit low for a guy that is the ROH World and ROH TV Champion. Seems like the most workrate focused promotion in the country he would either have a slight bump in some stats or he wouldn't be the champ. Either way a good pick. And he's only 30 years old to boot so I'm surprised he lasted on the board this long.

The biggest issue as I mentioned is that 12 hour times between picks is a huge amount of time. Usually I think its like 4 hours during the first ten rounds which are written and then it drops to every two hours on ppa contracts. As we saw yesterday we saw two straight people I think miss their picks. Thats 24 hours gone when two people miss their picks. Even if people aren't available every 4 to 8 hours its pretty easy to throw a few names together in a PM of a list of guys you want. Otherwise it delays everything and something goes from being fun for a week or ten days to "let me get this over with". That being said this draft has been really unique. I've only had one guy taken the whole draft that I really wanted and even him I couldn't have wanted too badly as he was like 11th on my list haha. Everyone seems to be picking different types of guys which makes it fun and interesting.
